Gypsy Moon Tattoo

Carl is an amazing tattoo artist! This was my first time visiting the Gypsy Moon because I was traveling. I came into the shop and Carl schedule my tattoo design within one week! I requested the Halo 2 Legendary Campaign logo tattoo because of the childhood memories it brought for me and my brother! Carl liked the idea and used his creative knowledge to bring the tattoo to life! Gypsy Moon is very clean and has a friendly environment to include the other tattoo artist that were there! Cant be any happier with my tattoo! Carl and I had cool conversations about gaming, family, and life he is a very down to earth guy! The atmosphere is so relaxed here and everything is nice and clean! I have only had experiences with Tabitha but she is amazing. I love her art style and even more importantly (to me) she has always been kind and made me feel very relaxed. Will definitely be coming to her for all of my future tattoos!

I got my first tattoo here way back in june! carl was the person who ended up being my artist and he did a fantastic job. he ended up doing an outline of my tattoo before we did the colour and i became hesitant as to colour in the koi fish. he assured me that we could stop the session because he didn’t want me to feel pressured to make a decision or rush into a decision! he went over the aftercare, and walked me through everything. it’s been months later and my tattoo has healed wonderfully! i haven’t decided yet on if i wanted to colour in my koi fish but, my piece looks flawless still. :)

Just got my 4th tattoo from Josh at Gypsy Moon Tattoo. Him and his crew are the only ones I trust in town when it comes to tattoos. I’m not the only one that feels that way so don’t be surprised if you have to set an appointment several weeks out. Trust me it’s worth the wait!

Carl was awesome. Besides for the first five minutes (on me, not him) I couldnt feel anything. Store looks nice on the outside and inside. Clean environment, not overpriced, easy going. Came in pretty much 10 minutes before the tattoo. Might update later based on healing process. Honesty tho, that would be on me not them. Great time and great conversation. Will definitely be back! Idk where to start. I love how honest they r about the tattoo. Like u should get it a little bigger. Or maybe try putting it in another area. Carl has done a few of mine. Definitely amazing. I’ve been going here to see Tabitha Harris for almost three years now and she’s never let me down! Her work is always amazing. She works fast, and she’s so courteous to anything her customers need. She’s so polite and always on time and she really works with you to make sure what you’re about to put on your body forever is something you actually love. I will continue to go to her for as long as I get tattoos. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone! Go get your tattoos by Tabitha and you won’t regret it.

Hands down the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had in Columbia. I’ve been working on a large thigh piece with grace for a few years and finally got it finished today! The vibe is awesome, super clean and all of the artists are super nice.

I had a fantastic experience at gypsy moon. A friend and I went in to get tattooed for Friday the 13th. The shop was very clean, everyone there was incredibly friendly. Lots of good conversation. Carl was our artist, he was very welcoming and it was easy to be comfortable around him. He did a great job making sure we got what we wanted. I will definitely be back.

Carl is an absolute beast of an artist, and I’m glad he’s with Gypsy Moon. Carl knocked out three matching tattoos that my siblings and I had set up back to back in less than an hour, was super thorough in regards to cleanliness, and most importantly (to me, at least) he was incredibly patient with my little brother while he was getting his first tattoo and provided a relaxed birthday experience for dude that I know he’ll appreciate for years to come. I got my chest piece done by Carl and I couldn’t be happier! He was very professional and friendly. He made it very clear that he was primarily focused on how happy I was with my tattoo. He was patient and made good company as well. His line work is clean and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist. Cant wait to go see him again for my next tattoo!

Charles did an amazing job on my upper arm. This was my first tattoo and I had a great experience. Even though he told me my tattoo would take awhile to do, he got me in and out in less time. I walked in and told him the ideas I was having for a full sleeve and his first design for my upper are exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend Charles, but the atmosphere here is also great. The artist all seem to get along and kept my laughing and entertained the entire time.

I paid for my significant other to receive a tattoo as his fathers day/birthday present and we could not have been happier with the results. He often has a difficult time with certain inks but thanks to the saniderm the artist used it healed perfectly. Grace did an amazing job! We later returned for my mom to get a tattoo from her as well because she has such a light touch, so I knew my mother would be in great hands. I have already recommended her to other friends. Youre literally going to have to wait in line to see this amazing artist but shes absolutely worth it. I have already got plans to go see her in the future. Book in advance because shes always being asked for.

I visited Gypsy Moon to get a tattoo done to cover up some scars. Adam Smith was my artist and he was completely awesome. He’s professional, thorough, talented and just an all-around kind soul. He walked me through every step of the process and answered all of my questions. The shop was clean and had a great atmosphere, too. Will definitely be going back to get more tattoos and would 100% recommend them.

Tabitha is amazing! I have been going to her for over a year now as we are working on a full sleeve. I could not ask for a better experience from start to finish. Her art and color work is beyond compare. Gypsy Moon has become a sort of family for me. When I come to get work done I enjoy the atmosphere and friendly comradary.

At age 55 I went in to Gypsy Moon after visiting a couple of other shops for my first tattoo and was immediately stuck by the friendly and professional attitude of all the staff there. Had my work done by Charles, he took the time to answer my questions and did a great job! I have received several compliments on the tattoo and have recommended Gypsy Moon to friends and co-workers.

I got my first tattoo here and it was a really great experience. I was tattooed by Josh, and my boyfriend was tattooed by Dave. They are both great guys (professional, funny, and nice). Being my first tattoo, Josh walked me through the whole thing and was very understanding. The shop is comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Come to see these guys if you want a really awesome tattoo and experience!!

Love, love, LOVE Tabitha! Über talented. She will not disappoint you. She is often pretty booked and you may need to set an appointment to see her, but I guarantee you that she is worth the wait. They do take walk-ins and any artist you select is very skilled in their craft.I have been back four times (so far, as I plan many more visits) and have seen the other artists work there as well. Always impressive. Dont settle for anywhere else till you have made a visit here. You will leave happy.

Great shop with majorly talented artists and a chill atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of work. Personal favorite is Charles Clark, who is professional, friendly, and will work with you to bring to life even your most off the wall ideas while being honest and up front about what will look best and hold up over time.

Gypsy Moon squeezed me in as a walk in tattoo. I was tattooed by Carl and had just the best experience. Everyone from beginning to end was so nice, everything was clean and sanitized, and Carl was super nice and did an amazing job!

Walked in without an appointment and was seen within about 5 min. Told him the idea I had (my sisters birthday in Harry Potter font (she loves HP) and he drew it up perfectly. Place was nice, people were nice. Made me completely comfortable considering it was my first tattoo. I travel around Carolina for work but next time Im back in town Ill definitely try to stop back in again.

Walked in to get a pricing on a tattoo I wanted and it was a good price and he was able to do it right then. He got it drawn up and every thing Set up quickly, didnt take him long at all. Live down the road from Gypsy Moon, have been driving by it for 6 years. My wife and I decided to go and get couples tattoos yesterday. Carl was our artist. This was my first tattoo and the 2nd one for my wife. Carl was awesome, put his own take on what we originally brought him, explained everything thoroughly. Super easy guy to talk to, great sense of humor, made the whole process a-lot smoother. We couldnt be happier with how the tats turned out. Nice shop, played some good mixed tunes. If I decide to get another tattoo this is the place for me, great experience all the way around. Ill recommend Gypsy Moon to my friends too. Went to this shop for wifes tattoo. Talked to people there told us to look at there artwork on there Facebook pages and contact through email.We did that 1st email was not responded to for 3 days. Sent 2nd email to schedule appointment and never got a response so we ended going to another place.There work look good but customer service little to be desired.

I was visiting Columbia SC from NY and I went to Gypsy Moon Tattoo and I was so happy and pleased. I researched them online to find a location for when I came to visit and they have great reviews. My tattoo artist was Tabitha and we communicate via email prior to my visit and I made an appointment. And the day of my appt I was so happy. Shes very professional and overall a very sweet person. If your ever in the Columbia SC area and looking for a location to get a tattoo give them a call.

A good tattoo, but a horrible experience. I showed them what I wanted and they added shading to it, which was never talked about in the design. They also kicked my father out when he also got a tattoo and said he was paying for mine. Just a horrible experience and I won’t be going back.
