I wanted my flat and conch pierced. He did not sanitize my ears but the needle was sanitized and freshly opened. The flat was placed and I didn’t like the location so he repierced and it was fine and I got the first one free. The conch was pierced on the other ear but he gave me a rook. When I tried telling him, he and the other guy were both saying it’s a conch. I paid $70 and tipped 10, but honestly I’m not satisfied and I won’t be back. They are extremely nice people though.

Got my first tat here. It was super quick but my boyfriend got a 6 hour coverup. Good music and accommodating workers. All in all it was a really good experience.

I went to get two small tattoos - one of them was fine but the other didnt turn out like the picture i showed them. It was supposed to be a dainty shooting star with light shadow, but instead I got a thick dark shaded tattoo. I included both the inspiration picture and the one on my arm

I wanted my double forward helix piercings as well as my industrial bar jewelry changed. Cecil was very professional! He marked the spots for the piercing and let me look at them to make sure of correct placing. He made me feel comfortable and calm! Highly recommend!

My friends & I came here to get a few piercings. Super quick & easy, reasonably priced. The lobes were both for $40, cartilage for $30. Clean environment. Lots of earring choices.

I really decided on a whim that I was ready to get my nostril pierced along with a small tattoo. With it being a Sunday, I knew my options would be limited as far as who would take me as a walk in for both. I went to Twisted Sixs and had a great experience. Joe did both my tattoo and my piercing. Excellent work along with a very friendly staff :) I would recommend this place to anyone.

My sister, my daughter, and myself came here to get piercings and tattoos. Everything came out great. However the customer service was not the best. The guy at the front desk had good customer service skills. however, the guy in the back that did the piercings was not to customer service friendly. I probably would not go back because of that.

My very first tattoo was done by twisted sixs. They made me feel comfortable for a first timer. I got my first one on Sunday afternoon and within 24 hours I got 2 more. All 3 tattoos are beautiful. I’ll be returning for 2 more soon. Twisted Sixs is the #1 tattoo shop. The guys are amazing.

So I called to be sure I could do same day services and I was able to. When I got there the place was clean I love the aquarium by the way and the fish thats in it. The guy that checked me in was very transparent and nice although i didnt get his name. Daniel took care of me and he was just as pleasant really into what he do. Get conversation great energy. I will definitely be back for him to do my upper lobe.

I came here to get my nose pierced. Very professional nice, staff. They even gave me a free t shirt. Gave me great recommendations and advice and made me feel confident because Id been dreading the nose piercing for a while. I would definitely recommend going here for piercing and Im going to come back for my next tattoo.

My daughter and her friends got their noses pierced here. They were professional, clean, and did a fantastic job with all of them. It was a quick process with minimal pain. They were all really nervous, but the staff made them laugh and feel more at ease. Thank you!

I got a very very simple semicolon tattoo with a turtle as the dot on top instead. he barely stayed in the lines of it. its lumpy and lopsided and i hate it. never going back there again. total waste of money.

Tattoo artist made fun of my design, made a weird comment about my butt, & after only a few months the tattoo has faded significantly. had to get it retouched somewhere else. would not go back. got my belly pierced here and that went well, tho not worth being creeped on.

I should have gone with my initial instinct and waited until I returned to NC for my tongue piercing but I didnt. Therefore the instructions I was following cause my tongue piercing to begin closing sooner than it should have. Today l, I couldnt get my tongue ring back in, so I called them immediately after work. They took me right in, they were kind and gave me proper instructions to follow for the healing process! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Ill be coming back again for my next tattoo and suggest others come here too!

I went here about a year and a half ago to get a tattoo which I wanted same day. They were so helpful and worked me in between their already booked appointments. I told the guy what I was looking to get and he sketched a tattoo on paper and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. My tattoo turned out perfect and I am planning on going back to get another one in the next week.

I came in to get my lobes and helix pierced. It was quick and easy and the space was clean. The piercer was nice and explained aftercare well.

Twisted Sixes is amazing. They have the best people working there. They are so gentle and they totally gentle with your kids. I took my daughter for her birthday to get her ears pierced and they was amazing with her.

Came in for a tiny tattoo like 30mins before closing & the staff was kind enough to take me so late. Chris did an amazing job! Was very sanitary & professional. Despite coming in so close to closing time no one made us feel rushed or anything & everyone working was very kind & welcoming. Very clean environment..Absolute best customer service the guys (Scotty & Tony) greeted me soon as I walked through the door . He sanitized everything and made me very comfortable . I asked for the Christina piercing. It was really quick . Highly recommend Twisted 6 they get get a 10 from me 😎

My friend and I had a great experience with nose piercings here, highly recommend! I had my nostril pierced and my friend had her stud changed to a hoop. The place is very welcoming and clean. The receptionist was very sweet, we only waited about 15 minutes and were sent back. Blake was our piercer, really nice and considerate! My friend paid $15, and I paid $50 (with $10 extra for hoop and $10 more for after-care solution)

Called on Labor Day to see if they were open/taking walk-ins and was told to stop by! They also gave me a heads up that they were cash only so that I could stop before I got there. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the staff and taken back quickly for a simple nose piercing. They were thoroughly informative about aftercare and welcomed any additional questions I might have.Even was my piercer and did an EXCELLENT job. The piercing itself was quick and nearly painless. Needless to say, I will be returning.

I had the BEST experience getting my nose pierced at Twisted Sixs. When I called, the guy who answered the phone was so kind and welcoming. That is when I knew this place wanted my business. When I arrived, I assume the guy who answered the phone was the same person who came outside to greet me and get my information because he was friendly and made comfortable to the point where I wasn’t terrified of the anticipation of pain.And then there was Evan. He didn’t say much but he had a gentle and kind spirit. His calm temperament put me at ease. Before I had a chance to freak out it was over. I was so surprised I just handed him a wad of cash in Aww of how effortless it was.The shop was clean, professional with excellent service. I have received two individual piercings and one set of piercings and I did not have any problems. The staff is friendly and they make you feel comfortable. I can only speak for the piercing side of the spectrum because thats all Ive received. But, my friend got a tattoo here and it looks really good. I was with her when she got it done and it took about 30 mins! This is the only place that I trust in Durham with body modifications.

I had a great experience getting my nose pierced today! The staff was friendly and efficient. I think I was there for 10 minutes? Maybe 15. Scotty made me feel very comfortable and finished my piercing in no time. He talked me thru the entire thing and after a slight pinch it was over. I would recommend them to anyone and I plan to go there for future piercings and tattoos.

Scotty did my nose and tongue piercing. Also reinserted my septum ring. He was very friendly and cleaned everything thoroughly. Scotty was fast. I highly recommend him. Ive also used Evan before. Hes really good too.

First time there was a bad experience, said I would never go back bc the tattooer Mary could never come in to finish, took 6 months to complete a half sleeve. Well, went back 7 yrs later, got my tattoo done by Cecil which turned out good just needed a touch up and he would never call me to set up an appt so I had to surprise him and show up there to talk to him. Made an appt for today 8/4/18 at 11 AM. I got there and waited until 12:10 and he never showed up so I got up and left. Never again!Giving update to my last review since its been a while. The guys here are very nice and polite. Totally obeying covid regulations by wearing mask and only letting a certain amount of clients in at a time to do work. Daniel did an excellent job on my tattoo today. Will be going back for more ink and probably piercings as well.

Visited this shop for the first time the other day and wanted a piercing done. Scotty and the rest of the staff were very professional and kind. They made it their priority to make me feel safe and comfortable. Scotty answered all of my questions concerning aftercare. They were kind enough to let me have a friend in the room for my comfort. The price was ALSO very reasonable! 50$ for two nipples. 😊

A little while back, I got my nose pierced by Scotty. He was very nice and did an excellent job. It was exactly how and where I wanted it. It was very reasonably priced: $40 with the aftercare solution. A few days ago, I noticed that it was swelling and was more irritated than it had been so I called them and Adam explained to me what he thought it was. (Irritation from moving in my sleep) he gave me some very helpful advice. Crush up baby aspirin and add some vitamin E oil, make it a paste, apply it, and let it sit for a few hours. I saw great results after the first time and it looks so much better. He wanted me to call and tell him if it helped after a few days. This shows how they truly care for their customers and this experience was so good that I will be going to twisted six’s if I ever want another piercing or tattoo!

Love the atmosphere, very clean. This was my 4th time there,I also have a belly piercing😝. The guys are always friendly and answer any questions asked. I also get my after care from them. Due to covid you have to wait in the car until called in but thats not an issue. I refuse to go anywhere else. I highly recommend Scotty you wouldnt be disappointedFYI cash only

Scotty is amazing. After he did my tongue piercing about a month ago I knew I would be back. When I was ready to get my next piercing they were closed (Wednesday), but because I was craving that lovely Serotonin I decided to just go to another shop about 10 minutes away. Big mistake. Huge. There’s just no substitute for a clean, professional environment and someone that knows what he’s doing (and that pays attention to the details!) I’m so sorry I committed Body Art Adultery and I will remain faithful from now on. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could!

I went to get a tattoo yesterday and I showed them a picture of what I wanted. At first I was a little skeptical as to if they would be able to get it to took just like the picture. They went beyond my expectations and the tattoo is beautiful. I love it so much that I’m going to come back in 3 weeks and get another one. David was wonderful

I got a belly button piercing and the piercer didn’t clean my skin off before piercing he didn’t rub anything down with any kind of cleaning solution just stuck the needle right through. Everyone was very kind and I felt very welcome however I felt as though it was very unprofessional or at least my piercer

Ive been working with Matt. A consummate professional! His talent is beyond the pale. Twisted Sixs as a whole is open, friendly, clean, relaxed, an eclectic group of folks who are amazingly patient, talented in their own right and SUPER friendly. And a Hell of a lot of fun! Their prices are prodigious given their collective talents. If you want something to be proud of, this is where you go!

I took my daughters to get nose/septum piercings. We had a fantastic, experienced Artist named Scotty! He was funny, helped relax my daughters. Its a really nice spot. I plan on going back for a tattoo for myself.

Went here today got a nose piercing very fast educated and professional Daniel did a great job didn’t hurt at all also affordable Most definitely will come again.

Both my niece and myself had problems with piercings. Waste of money any time. Niece had to go doctor. Long story short. We had to allow piercings to close per doctors both of us. Not the most sanitary place either. Just pay $ and get quality service at dogstar. Non of piercings done by them had issues

1 star is probably too generous. I called on July 3rd regarding having my daughters ears pierced. I was told to come in no problem and they could do it. I asked if I needed to make an appointment. I was told no, just come on in. I arrived this morning around 11:35AM and was met by a rude employee who was adamant that my daughter could not have her ears pierced. I explained I called and was told to just come in, and was told Nope, hes not here. I asked when he would be in and was told sometime today. They wasted my time, so I wont spend a dollar there.

I wouldnt go here for a piercing. They rushed and were not helpful with aftercare conerns. A few months after my piercing, they completely disregarded the fact that my bars were too short and that they pierced too deep, so a year later I am still healing and they may have to come out and heal if I want to get them repierced. Ive been to 3 other piercers since to get their advice and they attested to short bars as well. They were friendly initially, but it appears that once they get your money, they dont care.

I loved this place, it was my first time and it wont be my last!! Evan was great with the details! He will be my new guy!! Everyone was nice and the shop was clean! They have everything in order far as the social distancing! Great place, definitely recommend them

We get that due to Covid you have to make changes. But it would be nice if you notified your clients ahead of time that they can’t have anyone come in with them. Not to mention make them sit in the sun waiting for 40 minutes past the original appointment time. DO BETTER.

Went in for a eyebrow piercing but didnt get it. 2 of the guys had good attitudes but the older guy there acted like you were putting him out and attitude sucked! But to the two guys that were helpful thank you. But you need to do something about your partners attitude.

Was absolutely the best place I went to. I was terrified to get my belly button piercing and sesil (might be spelling it wrong) comforted and distracted me. Very friendly establishment and informative! Love it here. 10/10

I was really uncertain about where to get my first tattoo, considering I wanted a high detail, amazing quality portrait of my dog. The idea of permanence freaked me out a bit, but this ended up being one of the coolest experiences. The shop suggested Matt for anatomically accurate portraits (animals, human, etc.) and damn were they spot on. Matt made the experience totally awesome — funny as hell and super talented. I walked out with my arm bleeding all over the place and covered in my own urine, but it was all worth it in the end (that’s a joke, btw — just for you, Matt). If you’re looking for phenomenal work, especially if it’s your first tattoo, this is the place to go!! Will definitely be returning to get my 2nd and maybe even more.

These folks really need to change their closing time to when they feel like it. Wife was there at 6pm on a Saturday night. Sorry were closed, cash in her pocket and she gets, sorry were closed come back tomorrow. Facebook shows closing at 10pm, Google shows closing at 8pm. $500 cash in her pocket but were closed, dont care anything about a customer!!! Thats a great way to pull customers!!!

My daughter got an industrial piercing in her ear. They came out to meet us in the car had her fill out a form, and about 5 mins later she was in. After that 10 minutes maybe and she was finished. Super nice and covid aware.

Artists COULD be a bit friendlier or, at the very least, amicable. But the talent is great!! I have 9 tattoos (got a 1/2 sleeve thing goin on) & so far theyve all been done by Twisted Sixs artists.

Piercing was done incorrectly with posts that were too short-- now Im out $70 and have no piercing. But I do have a messed up ear! I dont know anything about their tattoos, but for piercings get it done right and just go somewhere like Dogstar.

I got my nose pierced there on March 29th. I was pleasantly surprised it did not hurt. I have not had any issues. I love my nose piercing.

I went in and got helped out very quickly, I got 2 daith piercings one on each ear. They got me in and out very quickly and were super nice. I 100% recommend going there!

Worst place to go to in Durham. Lived in Durham my whole life and I have always negative things about this place. Well, me and some friends went there a week ago to get a daith and tragus piercing. The man who did the work was named Tod. From thr first time I saw him I knew something was going to go wrong, and sure enough it did. For my tragus, he put a lip ring in my ear. For my daith, he put in a curved bar( which you should never put a curved bar in a daith needs to be a hoop). My friend got a tattoo and the man did not open the needles in front of her, she got a tattoo across her arm and he tattooed it with her room up straight, and to cover it up he put a paper towel ontop of it. Right after we left we went straight to Tattoo asylum in durham. I have both my tattoos from there. And the women in there said we needed to get our piercings looked at at a tattoo/piercing shop. I went to dogstar the next day and they took out both of my piercings. Where the guy from twisted pierced both of the piercings, he pierced it to shallow and it would have rejected the piercings also the holes werent lined up. So I wasted $70 getting 2 piercings with no money back.Do not go here, go to either tattoo aslyum or dogstar for tattoos and dogstar for piercings. More pricey but a lot cleaner and better quality!

They did my moms tattoo (before COVID) looks great they did my little sister industrial bar....hopefully tomorrow We have a good experience me and my sister should be getting matching tattoos and my mom getting something too...CANT WAIT😫

I didn’t like the way they treated me I went to go get my cartilage with my sister and they didn’t treat us well at all very rude! And then went to go get my tattoo Bc I really heard this is a really good tattoo shop but I also didn’t like it they didn’t really explain anything to me I wouldn’t go back there

Not gonna lie it looks a little iffy at first but Ive never had a problem with them. Ive gone their twice for two separate piercings and they did a good job.

IF I COULD RATE ZERO STARS I WOULD! The piercer complained about having to pierce my moms ear, he was incredibly rude and didnt even tell ger about aftercare. All he said was talk to the guy in the front. I would recommend DOGSTAR TATTOO IN DURHAM YOU PAY A LITTLE EXTRA BUT YOU PAY FOR QUALITY AND SERVICE, not Twisted Sixes SHITTY SERVICE!!! We have spent a bunch of money at this location and last year we got a tattoo that they overcharged us for 100 dollars for a few stars on my wife’s hand- and so today we do In to get the color filled in because after not even a month the stars we faded and missing color - so the owner and another tattoo artist told us 40 bones - 40 dolllars to fill in the incompetence of their work a year ago- ridiculous we will never spend another penny their and we will make sure all our friends and family know not to patronize this establishment- poor work and poor principles

Came in for a cover up, gave David an idea of what I wanted and he went above my expectations. I highly recommend coming here, they are all awesome and vary friendly.

They have done about 10 of my tattoos. Clean and friendly and someone always recognizes me so that shows they value their customers.

Seemed unprofessional, they lost my piercing while changing it out. I was sized wrong so it was very painful and I bled a lot. Wouldn’t recommend. They were friendly but I won’t go back.

Joe did my tattoo. He did a fantastic job and does not have a heavy hand that all good color didnt take long he was very proficient I have no complaints

I went in to inquire about a tattoo on my neck and when I asked about how bad would the pain be I was answered with a rude and disrespectful comment about my sexual orientation I was super offended and all they could do is laugh this place is not LGBT friendly worst experience ever at this new location even considering I had gotten 5 piercings from them when they had their previous location and previous staff they have seriously done something wrong when they moved to this new location how can a buissness be so rude and offensive and think its funny

Got my nose pierced to im looking it. They tell you everything you need to know about what you trying to get plus after care. A great tattoo shop.

They were nice but my finger tattoo faded in two weeks and my letter K didnt connect waste of $40

I went like 30 mins ago and I had Jeff and he did a great job and helped me stay calm as was very helpful with all my questions. I will be going back

Bad tattoo job from David! Tattoo blew out ! Went back 4 weeks after getting tattoo to be told it was just a bruise one year later still visible. A mistake I have to live with for the rest of my life !
