Came to get a tattoo done today and walked in on the artist giving these Karens a tat. To say these girls should have been refused service was an understatement! The patience and professionalism the artist showed was absolutely impeccable and I was incredibly impressed by the artists decorum and patience during her session with those girls.. and even more impressed by the artists work! Im in LOVE with my new tattoo and will be coming back soon for a coverup. 10/10, would recommend 👍🏼💛

Lauren is amazing. She is an incredible artist, very professional and super nice as a bonus. The shop is under new management and they are working very hard to create a great tattoo experience. I will be back and highly recommend Lauren.

Me and my best friend went and got tattoos done as a walk in and they were super nice! i believe tony was the one who tattooed us and he made us feel really comfortable and was friendly, will definitely be visiting again for future tattoos!

Worse tattoo ever! The eye on the tattoo looks ridiculous and the lines are horrible! Simple tattoo but looks like a disaster! Do not recommend!

My fiancé got a couple tattoos from Lauren and she was fantastic. Even though he was getting small tattoos the detail was still really amazing and she has an amazing personality and was super nice.

Mercy is absolutely amazing! I have gone back time and time again, she will be the only artist doing any work on me. The shop is always clean and a welcoming space. Can’t wait for more time in Mercy’s chair.

I got my first ever tattoo from Madelyn and she made it the best experience ever. My tattoo was so beautiful that I went back a month later for another one, and have since taken my daughter. Im looking forward to getting a full sleeve now and then I plan to get one on my other arm . The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The decor gave me so many things to look at. The staff were so much fun and made me feel like family. The artistic talent of the staff combined is superb bar none. So glad a friend shared them with me.

Wish I could give Mercy 10 stars! She instantly made me feel at ease in the space, and was both creative and patient (in addition to being fun to chat with). :) I absolutely love the gorgeous piece she designed for me (a custom combo of botanical and linework). She’s especially skilled in the intricate, delicate stuff that’s really really hard to get done in Gainesville. Highly recommend her (and Amanda)!

Some of the artists here are very rude and unprofessional. Save your money and go some where that you will be treated with respect.

Paid $120 for shaky, unconnected lines on a small wave. Will have to get it touched up and shaded with a different artist to fix the terrible job done at this shop. Would give 0 stars if I could. Do not trust Tony with your body art!!Edit: after a couple hours staring at my permanent markings, I realize my 18 month old godson could’ve drawn a straighter line. Tony told me he had been tattooing for 30+ years and worked in Daytona Beach doing a lot of waves. I truly don’t understand how this happened and I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Everyone has their favorite/designated tattoo artist. John from Sacred Skin Studios is mine. He is personable, funny, reasonable on prices, but most importantly, does amazing work! I went to him for my first tattoo a couple years ago and have returned a few times since then for different pieces, each time thrilled for the final result. The shop is clean, sterile, and cool because each artist has their own little setup of their work and hobbies. The couches to wait are super comfortable and they have music playing for the atmosphere too. Best tattoo shop in Gainesville!

As soon as you walk in the door, it feels welcoming and comfortable. All of the artists are personable and absolutely badass at their craft. I personally want to be tattooed by each of them. I got to be tattooed by Zach first out of the bunch and he put IDENTICAL flowers on my hands. They literally line up PERFECT. Did I mention the owner is amazing!! All genuine talented people ♥️

I came in and John ( a wonderful Artist ) squeezed me into his schedule for 2 designs that were quiet detailed. I walked away happier than I could have ever imagined. He took great care of me and he did such an amazing job he is very gifted and his hands aren’t too heavy. I had a magnificent experience and am definitely going back !!!!

My friend and I were walk-ins and John fit us in his busy day. Everything was clean and comfortable. John was amazing, doing three great tattoos and was so fun to hang out with! You bring the good energy and this shop brings it right back. Would make my go-to if I lived in the area.

Mercy did a wonderful scar cover up on my arm with my late pets name and a beautiful freehanded angel wing the detail and care she put into it was very beautiful and heartfelt I will be forever grateful

By far the best in skin art experience! Chad and the staff are wonderful. Not only is my artist incredibly talented but they all really are super friendly and fun ppl. Even the receptionist/asst... When she wasnt busy making sure that I was as comfortable as possible or catering the the artists needs she was running their errands, scrubbing the bathroom and polishing the beautiful wood floors all while answering phone calls and greeting clients. From the owner to the artists to the shop mom, all in all an outstanding top notch skin art studio.

John and the crew at Sacred Skin are phenomenal. From the warm welcome coming through the door to hour two on the table, they keep it fun, light, and most importantly professional. Johns line work is insane and fairly priced for someone tattooing for 22 years. No question that we are heading back soon.

Brenna tattooed my wife and I and they came out amazing. She is an amazing artist and I would recommend her to anyone. My daughter and her fiancé also got tattooed by Zac who also did amazing work. The shop is clean and everyone is professional and talented. This shop is worth visiting and getting work done by any of the artist.

John was very friendly and professional. My sister and I got matching tatts and we had a great time. We will definitely be making future appointments with him.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my tattoos, they are beautiful and I get compliments everywhere I go. BUT they just straight up don’t respond when you try and make an appointment, which has made me feel unwelcome and like a waste of their time.Again the work is amazing, But the total lack of response from them has frustrated me to the point of finding a new artist.

Although I’m slightly disappointed with my new tattoo, I don’t place blame on the artist Bree. She was very friendly, appeared to know her stuff, and was very helpful with creating the tattoo I wanted for my forearm (words with an arrow). The finished product just wasn’t what I envisioned (I think it’s the feathers). The shop is clean and all of the artists are welcoming and witty. The price was also fair.

My family went in to have our tattoos done. Spaz took a drawing my son had created and detailed it into a beautiful tattoo that both my son and I had done. We love them and they represent our family. Then Chad started my hip tattoo with roses and pearls. I’m heading to session 2 now and can’t wait to see how it turns out. This shop is clean, professional and very artistic. The fact that I was OK with them putting a tattoo on my 16yo is proof enough that they are awesome at what they do!!

Bree took me as a walk-in on Sunday. She was polite over the phone and in person - something I have NOT experienced with other shops in the area, which seem to have a very stuck up attitude about appts and walk-ins - a complete turn-off for me. She worked efficiently and the tattoo turned out just as Id imagined. Will definitely be going back to see her!

Myself and my sister got tattoos here. My first one personally. Not only were they really helpful they cleaned up the original design super well and quick I highly recommend.

I went to this studio because of Chad. He is one of the greatest artist I have seen. His work is amazing and the studio is beyond comfortable. The staff is extremely inviting and make you feel like you are home. Not to mention you can watch Netflix and stay up to beat with you shows when you arrive early. Definitely a great studio!

Sacred Skin Studios is one of the nicest shops I have ever been into and I have visited a few ;) The staff is friendly and professional and the shop is impeccably clean. They have three very talented and professional tattoo artists, with different styles of tattooing. They have artists prints available for sale, as well as body jewelry and Sacred Skin swag. Their T-shirts are rad and super comfy!

I went in today last minute because the place I went for the appt I didnt like the artist....I talked to Caroline on the phone and she made time for me. Got my tattoo drawn up and done same day the shop is very clean and welcoming all the staff is awesome and attentive theyve got comfy couches and TV to entertain Caroline was awesome very friendly and drew up exactly what I wanted on the spot and went right to work my tat came out awesome and the cost was very reasonable Im Def going back for my next one :)

Scared Skins Studios is a clean and well maintained establishment. I witnessed more than one pleasing interaction in my couple of hour session.Caroline Phillpot is not only artistic and talented, but she really cares about the work you do together. She is patient and has a light hand. She makes certain you are comfortable and have what it is you want.Not only have I got multiple tattoos from her, when I get the urge again, she will be where I go.

Walked in with an idea and it was turned into a artistic masterpiece. Sway a highly valued tattoo artist worked with me as we journied to find the perfect piece. Hearing him talk and understanding that he had the knowledge and understanding of tattoos, I knew I was in good hands and my worries melted away. Having been my first tattoo in Gainesville, Fl, I was unsure of a good parlor. I of course look to google to give me a good rating studio and Sacred Skin shows up on top, naturally I will look to see if this place is the real deal.... it is. Through its professional artist to its cleanliness and home-like feeling Sacred Skin gave me a great experience that will continue to make me a returning client and a positive promoter of their studio. Ive only worked with Sway so I can only speak for his work which is top notch but I have met the other artists and conversed and seen them preform on others and it seems that the highly professionalism and fantastic skills is throughout. I appreciate the time Sway took to help me create a piece of my own and its even better than I imagined due to his perfectionism like attitude toward his work. Sway approaches his work and clients as more than just a quick buck but as a friend and it can be seen that their is a true passion for his profession. Cheers to Sway and Sacred Skin Studios!

Best place ever guy did a great job! Place was very clean an wonderful atmosphere.we just walked in an told him what we wanted an he got it drawed up an tattooed on. So if your looking for a great place to get a tattoo look up Malcolm an hell get you fixed up an keep you laughing!

I went in a about a month ago and was helped and the young lady was very nice and attentive to what i had to say about what i wanted.. But during the tattoo i found out she had little experience and wasnt keeping the tattoo lubricated enough as she went. Also i now have a scar after keeping up with the tattoo care end of things (even though i was not given a list of instructions) my scarring occured on 2 letters but i am still unsatisfied that it stands out compared to the rest of the tattoo.
