My sister and I decided to stop in to Zodiac Lines Tattoo yesterday, which happened to be our 39th birthdays. We spontaneously decided to get birthday tattoos, and Olivia helped us decide on poppies, our birth flower. She took her time drawing up designs for us, adjusting as needed. I wanted something with fine lines, simple, dainty and delicate, and Olivia “understood the assignment,” as the young people say. She was friendly, gentle, and precise. I love my new tattoo, and am so happy I stopped in. Highly recommend Olivia.Also, the shop is SO cool. It was beautiful and unique inside, with lots of plants and just a great vibe.

I stopped in today to see if there was walk-in availability for something small. Olivia was super friendly and quick helping me finalize my design, but also letting me take my time to get it perfect. The vibe in the studio was relaxing and fun. Also — cleanest tattoo parlor bathroom ever. I definitely recommend Zodiac Lines, and specifically Olivia!

I highly recommend Zodiac Lines. I had an appointment set up to work with Delie, but after having to reschedule, I ended up being set up with Danny. This was my first tattoo, and Danny made sure I was comfortable, and did a great job. The shop was clean, everyone was friendly, and the overall experience was great.

Theres a 1 star review from a Meg from a couple months ago that is eerily similar to my last 6 months trying to get a tattoo from Delie and felt I needed to post a review as well.Short Story: There was miscommunication on both sides, however hes incredibly difficult to contact on anything, and seems to have a lot on his plate right now that tattooing is not something hes focused on. He is wildly talented and I hope he gets back to tattooing soon, but I wouldnt go to him for a while. Also only put down the required deposit, nothing extra.Long Story: We had a scheduled consultation in April that went great. He seemed super excited to add to my existing tattoo and touch up the original. The price was fair, his portfolio was amazing, and he had a super flexible schedule so we could do it on my random day off during the week when I didnt have my kids. I gave him a cash deposit that was more than his set deposit because I didnt want to used that money for something else. We scheduled the tattoo for 3 weeks from our consultation for the middle of May.The morning of he text me saying he was sick and didnt want to pass it to me, and he wouldnt be able to do his best work. Totally fair. We scheduled it for July 3rd.On the 3rd he text me an hour before our appointment saying he didnt realize it was the day before the 4th of July and he was in the woods camping with his family. Ok. He said that hes open all weekend (the 5th, 6th, and 7th). I told him I would be out of town due to the holiday but works see if l could drive back just to get the tattoo. I never responded if I was coming to get the tattoo, and never drove back. In that same text I also told him that I had to go to the emergency room a couple days ago and was told that I needed surgery at the end of July. I asked what the standards are for getting a tattoo before or after a surgery. He said he would look into it. I got cricket.After calling my doctor I was told I could have a tattoo up to 3 weeks before my appointment. I tried to reschedule again with Delie and I never got a response. I text him again a week later to schedule for 5 weeks after my surgery on September 4th and he said we are good to go.The Monday before Im supposed to get the tattoo, I text him and say Hey, are we still on to get this tattoo on Wednesday? He says Yep!The morning of my appointment I get a text from him saing Heyy, I text back Hey, are we still on for today? Nothing. I go to my appointment and I sit down, hes not there. I talked to one of the other artists and they said hes been very busy and theyll try to contact him too. He finally responds to me a half hour into our appointment time saying he was texting to ask if we could reschedule. He forgot about a meeting he had and he thought that our tattoo appointment was 4 hours later than day (when I was assuming my tattoo would be completely). He was wondering if I could switch until later that day. That didnt work for me so I told him I would think about when I could reschedule. I was going in the assumption that we were keeping the original time slot, but never confirmed that with him, just the date. He told me he would refund me my whole deposit if I would just reschedule because he wanted to do a good tattoo for me.Last weekend I decided to not get the tattoo due to receiving the med bills from surgery and asked if he would be willing to give me part of my payment back. I didnt feel right asking for all of it, and told him to keep his initial non-returnable deposit because I did want to pay him for his time and for drawing up the sketch. But Ive heard absolutely nothing from him. Not confirmation that the tattoo is off, anything about a refund, not even a Im sorry but Im going to keep your deposit. Nothing.So, after seeing Megs review and me still getting no response from Delie, I felt like I had to post my experience as well.

I cannot say enough good things about Payton! My husband and I walked into the shop with a loose idea of what we wanted and Payton took that idea and turned it into an absolutely stunning piece of artwork. He was so kind and welcoming and was a complete pleasure to work with. We could not be happier with how these tattoos turned out and will absolutely be returning to him in the future. The shop is awesome on the inside and very clean. 10/10 would recommend it!

The shop is clean and very professional. They have parking and were easy to find.Delie is a mastermind! I went in expecting a great tattoo, but this blew my mind!! He has a light touch and is very good at tattooing on black/ melanated skin. He was fast and efficient but very meticulous and detailed oriented. I am so glad I got this piece from him. Arguably one of the greatest tattooers in the world. I will have to come back to get my next piece. Great experience. If you want great work, this is your spot.

The short version is Ryans work is amazing. When I first ran across Ryans work online I knew I had found a tattoo artist capable of capturing the fine detail necessary to bring my vision for my tattoo to life. I was impressed with his portfolio of work. Things ranging from hyper realistic to Super intricate geometric and tribal design. I sent him a couple of mock-up designs I had found online and told him what I wanted different. When we met for a consultation Ryan asked lots of good questions. He made sure he understood what I wanted before moving on the design work. He made it clear that he was comfortable following my direction exactly, or if I wanted to give him some license in the design that he had some ideas he would like to show me as well. He put in time energy and effort in melding the different ideas we had come up with in consultation into something I was truly happy with.My Tattoos design was intricate. And very realistic. It will ultimately be a half sleeve going from shoulder to elbow to start. Ryan worked the design in three different sections. I was able to get it done in stages, but in such a way that the work that he did never looked like it was incomplete. Each part could stand on its own as well.Ryan made sure that I was comfortable. He checked in with me on pain levels. He built in regular brakes in the work so that I could take a breather.I would describe Ryan as professional, as well as personal. He is content to let me sit and read while he works, or engage in conversation.I would highly recommend this young and talented artist to anyone, regardless of tattoo style.Likewise, Zodiac Tattoos is a welcoming space. The building and decor are unique. The stained glass window gives a certain je ne sais quoi that adds to the experience.Zodiac wants to make sure that their clients are comfortable. They offer snacks and beverages to help get you through particularly long sessions.

My original appointment was postponed because of a flight delay, fair. That was rescheduled and I had a session that was 2 hours and ended because Delie was tired, also fair.Then my next apt was the Monday after Forest, Delie went, and felt like crap, again I get it. Were all people. Rescheduled the following day, that big storm knocked out the power. A series of unfortunate events, not 100% caused by any individual.My problem start when the next week my text message gets ignored, I wait; the following day, nothing. Text again, I got a response, nothing for hours.. then I get upset. Ive never felt like Im a nuisance to an artist until now.Its extra disappointing because I know he has the capability of doing great work when he wants to. But at this point theres no trust and Im just sad Im walking around with half done work that looks worse than when I started.Tldr: Im another victim of being ghosted by Delie, walking around with an unfinished tattoo now, worst experience with a shop Ive ever had, my arm now makes me cry lol.

Got my very first tattoo here and I love it! Delie is incredibly talented, I love the fine line details that he added. Very cool space and good atmosphere in there. Will absolutely be going back for future tattoos!

Holy cow, nothing could have prepared me for what a phenomenal piece and experience my first tattoo would be! Delie is absolutely worth the wait. Not only is he an incredibly talented artist, but he’s also kind and courteous. I came to him after weeks of researching artists to do a partial realistic tattoo to honor my late cat Houdini. I spent HOURS pouring over portfolios, and from the second I saw his work I knew he was the right artist. Delie was professional and reassuring from start to finish! He was genuinely excited about the concept I wanted and absolutely NAILED it. He never made me feel unsure in the slightest. I’m absolutely floored at how it turned out, and I can’t imagine going to anyone else! It’s seriously absolutely perfect in every way! Best Tattoo shop in Grand Rapids hands down! Brought an idea I saw online and Delie customize the piece for me and made it my own. He made it soo much cooler than the template I brought in. Now I only get tattoos by him. Greats vibes also at the shop! Good energy

I’ve had two tattoos done here now by Kody and I don’t have enough good things to say!! The location is super convenient, the building is so unique and gorgeous, and the vibes in the place are immaculate from the time you walk in to the time you leave. Kody has gone above and beyond for my friend and I both times we’ve come in. He’s incredibly personable, friendly, helpful, and talented. The other staff are so amazing, too!! I genuinely can’t say enough good things about these guys!! Definitely stop in here for your next tattoo!! :) :)

Olivia did an AMAZING job fixing a tattoo I had done at a different tattoo shop. I really appreciated how much time she took to make it perfect and exactly what I wanted. Shes an incredible artist and my new tattoo is absolutely beautiful!

Delie did a great job with all 3 of my tattoos! I was a first timer and he was very friendly and made the whole process a lot less intimidating. All 3 pieces are so pretty and exactly what I wanted even though I didn’t 100% know exactly what I wanted. Everyone thinks they are beautiful and very well done 😊

The vibes of this shop are great. Its a beautiful building and the artists are really nice. I found Delie from web searches of fine line artists in GR, can confirm, he does great stuff! I came in with an idea that need artistic touches and he delivered. After a needed reschedule, he got me in as soon as he could and was nice, attentive, and fun! Would definitely go again if inspired for another tatt.

Try to contact the artists, ignore by the first one, try to contact a second one, only got a weekend available after two emails trying to find a day that works ignored as well.Great service 👍We got our tattoos in a different shop at the end.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. My wife and I walked in and were not even acknowledged. Sat there waiting for 20 minutes, and still not even a hello or welcome. Then a lesbian couple walked in and were greeted immediately by both employees. Makes me feel if you are straight do not come to this place.

I just got my first tattoo done by Hailey, and cannot even express enough how much I love it!! She not only is a great artist, but does an amazing job at making you feel so comfortable through the whole experience. Her kindness and sense of humor makes the time fly by during the appointment! I already booked an appointment to come back and get my next tattoo immediately after! The overall vibe of the whole place is amazing, and such a cute shop, would definitely recommend to everyone!!

Hailey was absolutely amazing. She took time to get to know what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable and 100% ready for my tattoos. She explained everything as she went and she made me laugh. I was so excited to get a tattoo done here. I’d been looking through tattoo shops in Michigan and was really into Zodiac Lines. Unfortunately, when I went to schedule a consultation with Deli, I chose the wrong date after paying the fee. Out of the 10+ times I called the shop they only answered once to tell me I should see a refund in a couple days. I never got my refund back and will not be having any of my tattoos done her after this experience.

Terrible experience… wish I could give them negative stars. Paid in cash for a consult, “Delie” cancelled on me last minute, have not been able to contact him since. Guess they took my money and aren’t going to tattoo me.

Hailey did three of my tattoos and I am in love with them!! She is so welcoming, funny and makes sure you’re all good and comfortable. There is no one I would rather have do my tattoos than her, she is truly an amazing artist. Can’t wait for all my future ones by her!

Got my first ever tattoo done with KJ recently- I highly recommend her!! She made it such a fun and easy experience, not to mention that her work is seriously fantastic. I really appreciated how transparent she was and how kind she was about changing up the design (several times) to make sure I was 100% satisfied.

Reached out to Zodiac Lines to see if they had an artist available to do a piece of patchwork I have been wanting to get done. They got me in the next day! Payton Pringle was my artist and he did an amazing job! Sent him a few reference photos and he designed a tattoo adding his own touch and personal art expertise. He even helped me in deciding placement as I was adding it with other work I’ve had done. By far one of my most favorite artists in Grand Rapids. Also had the opportunity to talk with Kjerstin (another artist at the shop), who was equally amazing. Would recommend them both for any work you’re looking to have done!

I had an extremely sweet and meaningful tattoo completed last week by Delie. He took a picture of my newborn son and I, and created an absolute gorgeous masterpiece. I was super nervous because I wanted the lines to be very fine and Delie did not disappoint! His entire staff are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. Deli was amazing! I had an old tattoo that I have been wanting to get reworked for a while. This tattoo was about 8yrs old so it required a lot of TLC. He listened to what I wanted and brought my vision to life. The shop was very clean, the work was great, and the costumer service was outstanding. I highly recommend you check this shop out. You won’t be disappointed!

Haley (sorry if I misspelled it) did a fine line black widow tattoo on me for a special they had going on. The business was extremely busy but she took her time and did amazing work. She even added shading into the tattoo to give it an extra pop. She’s currently an apprentice but her work is outstanding! I would recommend her! It’s still healing but please see her work below! After researching artists in the GR area I came across Zodiac Tattoo and Delie’s work. I was able to book a consultation with him online which was super easy and fast compared to other places in town. The shop is in the iconic Eastown “hobbit” building. It is very clean and super relaxed. Along with this being my first tattoo I was nervous about being judge for my tattoo idea. Delia made the process of bringing my tattoo from idea to ink very easily and without any judgement. We came up with some simple line drawings that Delie brought to life with his incredible skill and artistry. I’m already thinking about my next. I would recommend Delie to anyone looking for a tattoo they are proud to show off. I’ll update with healed photos

I got a small tattoo here by Hailey and my experience was amazing! She was so helpful and accommodating when I called wanting to come in on short notice, helped my friend and I with the designs we were looking for, and made the experience so enjoyable! This parlor is everything that Grand Rapids has needed. Delie’s line work was impeccable. He is a very skilled artist and his perfectionism shows. He made sure it’s exactly the way that I wanted it. Zodiac Lines Tattoo Co. in Grand Rapids is easily the most beautiful parlor in the city and the work of the artists live up to that same standard. The shop itself is stunning - transporting you into a different world as soon as you grab the door handle - and the vibes are immaculate. It’s clean and inviting and the artists are willing to do whatever it takes to get your vision across.My appointment was with the owner, Delie, and he was incredible. He literally laid down on the floor to make sure that the placement was straight when I was standing and checked to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted. My tattoo style is very simple with clean lines - meaning I can go pretty much anywhere - but Zodiac Lines will now be the only parlor I go to and the first one I recommend. Thank you!My aesthetic doesn’t really show off their talent to full extent, but it does show off some incredibly clean lines that Delie free handed.

I came in on my 18th birthday and got my first tattoo done by Ryan and he is amazing! I absolutely love my results and definitely recommend him for anything fine line! He is also super nice, makes you feel comfortable, and the environment is overall super welcoming, friendly, and comforting!

I got a pretty large thigh piece done by Delie and I couldnt be happier with it! Its exactly like my reference, the placing is perfect, & none of the lines are blown out. Delies shop has the best energy of any tattoo studio Ive ever been in, and I couldnt recommend his work more highly. He made me feel comfortable the whole time which is the most important part of getting a tattoo. Never getting ink anywhere else :)

Great art by great guys! I got my first tattoo here with Delie. He listened well and worked closely with me to make sure I got exactly the tattoo I wanted.I didnt have breakfast before my appointment--big mistake. Ended up really lightheaded after we wrapped up and almost passed out. (Sorry, Delie!)They were very considerate, making sure that I was totally okay before departing.Will definitely return in the future.

I was visiting from out of town and stopped in to this eccentric shop. I was greeted by the most friendly staff and immediately felt comfortable. I was able to get a same day tattoo with Ryan that turned out so amazing!!! He was very meticulous and a great artist. Delie and his staff are amazing and welcoming and I would definitely recommend this business!!!

I loved the overall vibe of this place! Very laid back and clean. I got a vine/leaf tattoo that Ryan designed and it’s beautiful. He’s very creative and does a great job with fine detail and realistic tattoos. Ryan was awesome! The other artists here were really nice and welcoming.

This place is quite the experience. From the moment you lay eyes on the unique psychedelic wood exterior. The sun shines through the huge stained glass windowsabove. Your lead into a hip, comfortable, loft like space with historic ceilings and other details. The artists are amazing, I’ve been to a lot of shops and as a female I felt very welcomed and safe. Hailey (@hotdonnatattoos) is my artist and she’s a pleasure. Hilarious, kind and patient. Her work is execellent and definitely a great person to ask for it you’re a newbie to the shop. There are a lot of shops in GR, this one is in a great area and holds wonderful vibes. Check it out.

I had never heard of this place before today Delie did a tattoo for me today during a promotion in support of womens rights. 50 or so people came out to get tattoos in support of a womans right to choose and he did every single one in a friendly and professional manner, and they all looked great. I wanted to leave a tip and was instructed to put it in their donation jar for planned Parenthood instead. I will definitely be back to actually pay for work in the near future and I think you should too. This is the type of business I want in my area.

Had an amazing experience at Zodiac Lines! Went there for a back tattoo which came out unbelievably beautiful. Delie was patient in understanding what I wanted in the tattoo and completely delivered! Definitely would recommend checking them out.

During my time there, other staff walked up and introduced themselves and were overall kind. The price is worth the work put into the art! I will be going there for all my tattoo needs.

My friends and I all got tattoos done by Hailey. She was able to accommodate all four of us getting different sizes and locations of the same tattoo. Her communication was amazing and was a dream to work with.

I can’t say it any better than Aaron. I was in the same boat, saw his work, and I knew. For me he’s starting with a water color painting by my dad, “Ryan style”…which means we made it “cooler”. Here’s the deal. Ryan is an artist, a drawer…a damn good one. So why wouldn’t I choose the best drawer I’ve ever seen, to do my first tattoo? He free handed the shading of the leaves (zoom in)…color on the rose and bird to follow! I like Ryan’s input and ideas, frankly they are way better than mine! Ryan helped me make a “grand plan” and, it’s going to be amazing!

I had the best tattoo experience here! I got tattooed by their guest artist, Edu. He was able to give me a pillow and a blanket, which made getting tattooed so much more comfortable. Highly recommend this shop and all of their artists.

Honestly, Im pretty bummed. I stopped in to talk about doing a new piece. Had a great talk. Got a message a few days later about setting up a consultation. I responded and said Id love to, and I heard nothing back. I sent multiple other messages trying to hear back, sent and email, phone call. And nothing. I was completely ghosted and its really a bummer because they do some great work here. Im not sure what happened but it is really disappointing.
