Josh Rucker does amazing work. I have been to him several times and have always been happy. I have enough had him design things from scratch as well as brought things for him to do and every time I have been incredibly impressed. The shop itself is great, clean. The other artists are always friendly also. Would recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

They did my tatto in less than 30 min guy was very funny and polite, gave great instructions on how to take care of it, all around 10/10 experience for my first tattoo

This is one of the best places Ive used!!! Josh did a fantastic job for myself, daughter, and mom. He took his time with us and made sure we were happy with the design beforehand and is so friendly. The work itself was superb! They are very good with their cleanliness standards. You must make an appointment before and wear a mask during. Totally worth the precautions to have the experience here.

He was very patient with me while we were emailing samples back and forth ... he did a terrific job at taking my daughters drawing and converting it into something that I will cherish for a lifetime! My husband and I had a wonderful walk in tattoo experience. Our work was absolutely perfect from the lines to the coloring/shading. Nick and his wife were lovely! My mom and I stopped in after being told there was a three hour wait at a different shop. Nick and his wife took care of us right away. Carrie did a small cover-up on my face and did another super small piece for me at no extra charge. Getting that old tattoo covered up with a quality piece was an instant confidence booster for me. My boyfriend got a simple tattoo with, I believe the name was zach. I got one a day prior to his with a different artist, I loved mine and suggested he gets his first one done there. Mine cost 100 dollars but had much more detail than the one he wanted. He charged him 150 dollars for his, which wasnt a problem as long as he did a good job. Experience was great, very friendly artist, etc. My boyfriend have him 200 and told him to keep the change. When we got home we all get a closer look at the tattoo, the lines are super uneven and you can tell he was very shaky. The date is the worst part, all different size numbers, uneven, and squiggly. Couple days go by and we notice the tattoo has some spots were its not even filled in all the way. He said he does free touch ups for up to a year but we dont know if he can make it look better. Not really one to say anything but tattoos are on you forever so I did feel the need to say something.

Have used A-1 for years. From my first tattoo to the last one I got, as well as bringing my daughter up in 2021 for her first piercing. So I have always preferred to use A-1. They have always done a great job on my tattoos as well as my kids piercing. Yesterday we stopped in as we haven’t been there since 2021 to see if they had a piercer. No biggie my kid just wanted another piercing. I had heard they no longer did piercings but I refuse to use any other place unless I know for sure they don’t do it. We walk in and the guy behind the counter is talking to 2 other customers then asks what we need, I just simply ask do you have a piercer? His response and rudely was “No, this is a tattoo shop.” I just smiled and walked out. There was absolutely no reason to be rude. Especially when we have used A-1 for years and spent a lot of money since I was probably 23 (I am not 43) I was also planning on asking about if they’re scheduling for tattoos or excepting walk ins because both my daughter and I were going to schedule a tattoo for my mother who passed. At that point I just needed to walk out, and just find some place else to go. I would gladly tattoo there and pierce somewhere else. I don’t care, I just prefer to give our business to them. I guess we will just find a new place all together because I don’t think it’s professional to answer a question so rudely when it was a simple question. I could MAYBE understand it if you never had done piercings before but you did, so I’m sure there are more people then just us who think you may still do them. Hopefully he doesn’t answer everyone else in such a rude way.

Shannon is amazing and does excellent work! Have gotten 2 from her and absolutely love them! She is badass at what she does. Also seen some of the other pieces the other artists were working on and they do beautiful work as well! 💯 recommend

I was very disappointed. I stopped by here on my way home from work about 5:30ish. Just moved here a few years ago & looking for a new artist. Want to get a portrait of my Chloe, who died a year ago. I waited in there waiting room for 30 mins & no one acknowledged me. I cant even imagine how much business they miss out on if this is normal behavior there.

Josh did a fantastic job! He had a great idea of what I wanted and adapted it to the rest of my arm in a unique way.

Piercing guy is super gruff. But he knows his stuff. Ive taken 4 teenage girls there all separate times and he explains piercing well to them.Hes gruff but I do think he has a good heart and good knowledge which is most important.

We took our daughter to Richie for a nose piercing, and we couldnt be happier, she was so nervous & said that he made her feel calm & trusted what he said. He was thorough, patient, clear & professional, we will definitely recommend him to everyone! My husband got his own tattoos here 20 years ago & we will never go anywhere else for piercings or tattoos!

It was my moms first time getting a tattoo and Ben was so awesome with her! She’s 61 and was somewhat nervous but he put her mind at ease and was very patient with her! I have had a few done myself but never here! I will definitely be going back for another. I liked the chill atmosphere it really helped with my anxiety I get before every tattoo. Clean, fun, and very professional. They didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear just to get me in and out their door they took the time to make sure both of us got what we wanted. I can not stop looking at my arm I’m in love with this tattoo!

Shannon did an amazing job on my little tattoo. I went in not exactly knowing what I wanted just knowing that I wanted a frog for my mother. She went back and drew up an amazing frog and got me tattooed not long after. I even last minute changed the color of the frog and she was perfectly okay with it. Her line work is amazing and the shading is gorgeous! I have had it for less than 24 hours and have gotten more compliments than I’ve ever received in my life. Coming in indecisive about how I wanted it done and as a walk in they took very good care of me and I’m in love!! I would definitely recommended this parlor!!

Decided to get a piece of body jewelry. The piercer (Richie) here was very knowledgeable and made me feel as comfortable as he possibly could. Explained everything before we went through with the placement, and afterwards explained everything I needed to do take proper care of my new piercing! Would recommend this shop to anyone wanting to get piercings, and might be going back for a new tattoo in a couple months!!! Prices are very reasonable for the quality service provided!!!

Just went up there the other day to get a tongue piercing with a friend and both were going to get something done. Mine I wasn’t able to because he doesn’t do surface piercings which is fine just said I would go somewhere else that is comfortable doing it but we went ahead and got hers done. The only thing I didn’t like was that Richie... I think that was his name, would not stop making little comments about what I had wanted done. He was making me very uncomfortable and had a kind of “superior” attitude. Was happy with how he did hers just not with how he acted about me. Would not recommend him ever. Also when my friend asked him to explain something again the way he looked at her was so rude. Just stared for a min like he was irritated he had to explain it again... she was nervous!!! So it was harder for her to take in everything that quick

Loved it! NH was awesome! He didnt hesitate at all to get our tattoos done on very short notice and they look better than we could have imagined!

Went last night to get some information about setting up an appointment for getting my first tattoo ever. They were able to get me in right away to get the tattoo done. Ben was the artist who took care of me and I couldnt be happier. He was friendly, polite, and explained the whole process to me. He was sterile and professional during the entire session. Very happy with the work done, will return if I ever get a second tattoo!

Got my first one here yesterday!Ben did a fantastic job I was so nervous! He helped it to be a great experience. Everyone is really friendly and the price wasnt as expensive as we thought it would be and Ill definitely be going back. Hubby is now jealous and wanted his own lol oh yes and they have a waiting area with comfy seating which was a plus since my husband and infant was with me. We went to another place before A1 and they had a no children rule but I have no regrets cause A1 was great :) thanks Ben!

Gentleman Josh is a great artist who tries to put a small amount of pain on you as little as possible. His giggle is distinct and is a chill experience while getting work done.

The people here are absolutely genuinely nice and care about you and what youre getting done! They get you in asap and take their time but get you out quickly. Every time I come in they ask about my past work or piercings to see how theyre doing. Awesome service 12/10

I got a tattoo here this week, the shop was clean and the artist were really friendly and make you feel welcome. Superb customer service! My tattoo was created by Nick, this dude have incredible talent. The design came out 10 times better that I originally expected to be. I will send all my friends to this shop for sure.

We saw Richie the piercer today for my eyebrow. He was very laid back and soft spoken. He explained everything he was doing and made a few jokes to ease the nerves. Ive been to a few different places for piercings but i think this was my best experience!!

I went to A1 on a Monday afternoon to get my nosed pierced. I got Richie and he was pretty good. He had a little bit of a attitude and Im better then you attitude but he did walk me through everything and told me everything he was doing. He was very informative on the aftercare and said I could call him if I need too. He is a good piercer even if his attitude is a little off.

Ben is awesome! I met him on a walk in the other night. It was late but he made time for me anyway. I was looking for something small and he quickly drew up something I loved. He took his time and made sure I was happy with every detail. I was! I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos here and had a wonderful experience with all 4! Their service is great, they work with my ideas and are super talented! I’ve been tattooed by 3 different artists here and they were all incredibly good. I love this shop and won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon!

I went to get my septum pierced here and my mom also got a tragus here. worst experience i’ve ever, EVER had with a piercer. extremely unprofessional. he was rude to me the whole time, did not ask for identification from me or my mom, and seemed like he just wanted us out. on top of that, he made snarky comments about me wanting my septum pierced and was super condescending towards me. finally, when we went to get our stuff pierced, you couldn’t see his certification anywhere, he told us absolutely no pictures or videos, pierced my septum TWICE because he “messed up” the first time and was extremely crooked, and the second time he pierced it way too high, and it was so so painful i almost passed out. when he went to my moms piercing, he pierced her tragus 5 times. FIVE. lost the piercing, couldn’t feed it through the channel, pierced it wrong, just so so many things went wrong. so terrible and worst customer service i’ve ever experienced.

Attempted to call to get a ballpark quote on a small hand tattoo. The first guy who answered sounded irritated to be getting any calls this evening, told him what I was looking for, didnt even say Hang on, gonna ask or pass you too someone who can answer your question or even notify they dont do quotes over the phone.I was passed over to another guy, he answered Hand tattoo, I didnt realize he was speaking to me initially so that was off to a good start. I tried to tell him what I wanted, cut me off multiple times to argue with me about how he needs to know where and what he is up against. Again, tried to tell him, refused to listen then basically refused to speak to me.I attempted to describe what I was looking for, he wouldnt even talk to me, ended up just telling him to have a good night and ending the call. Very rude, I wont go to someone who wont even listen to me... a potential customer. I get that a true quote needs to be done in person but I am not gonna waste my time driving down there for something unreasonably priced or if someone is unable to tattoo my hand, I have been contemplating this tattoo for a while. I have looked around for someone to do it but two places I called said they dont do hand tats.For reference all I wanted was a small tattoo that stated Alwaysin cursive on the side of my hand. I had 2 arm tattoos done in one day at this location. it was a descent experience....it took a lot longer than i was expecting. guy told me it would take about 10-20 min to draw up, took an hour....the process was good but i feel like he didnt really listen to what I wanted. I ended up with a color tattoo that was a little off from the color that I picked but settled because it still looked pretty cool and one black tattoo that was a little janky. the black tattoo was a picture that I had hand drawn and told the guy that I cant draw really well and if he could clean it up that would be great. he traced my drawing and put it on my arm. telling me that he would fix it as he went. i ended up with the exact drawing that i had done on my arm. fast forward 2 months....part of the color on the black tattoo came out with the scab so I went back to try to get it touched up and the guy was like I am busy but call later and I will book you and appointment. there wasnt even anyone in the shop. I went to a different tattoo shop, paid $80 to have the tattoo redone

Ive been going here on and off since I was able. Ive had both piercings and tattoos and every time the atmosphere is dope, the guys are in there doin what they do best.. and may I add, not hard to look at 👀👀 some of these guys are cute af.. but really- great pricing, clean lines, Im having a sleeve done there and Im anxious to get it finished.

I got my nose pierced for the 2nd time (1st was somewhere else) with Richie today and he was seriously the best! This was my 2nd nose piercing but 8th overall and I have never been more impressed with a piercer. He was cool, patient and throughly informative. I will not be going anywhere else for future piercings.

Asked for a chiefs logo, was quoted 100$.Have a best friend who is a very good and well known tattoo artist downtown who told me a simple design for this should run no more than 50$. A1 was very rude and now I know they wanted to over charge. Very disappointing but not surprising.

After having a bad experience with Mitch on my first visit to A1 tattoo and getting a tattoo that I hated, I emailed the owner Brennan. He got back with me right away and offered to fix my tattoo free of charge. I went to see him last night and he was AMAZING. I love my new tattoo and cant wait to show it off. Brennan is such a great guy and he stands behind not only his work but the guys who work for him. If you are looking to get a new Tattoo, go see Brennan at A1. Thank you so much Brennan!!!!.

They do NOT respond to messages. I called to schedule a time for my brothers and me to come in for a tattoo. (They were coming in from out of town). I was told to go to Facebook and request it. I did...no response. I called back like 3 days later to ensure it was the correct name on Facebook. The guy said he saw the message and someone would get back with me...NOTHING. So unprofessional.

Tattoo artist was super nice and understanding about my anxiety, he did a great job and was awesome at helping me calm down. I will definitely return, and highly recommend!

This isnt one of those doucey, everyone is a tough guy kind of shop. These are super cool and respectful people who can pull of some jaw dropping pieces of art. Thanks specifically to Gentlemen Josh for the full sleeve people compliment every single day.

When recieving my tattoo by shannon I was made aware I could come in for a touch up. I have been trying to contact her over the span of MONTHS and no response. You would think if she didnt wanna do a retouch she would just let her clients know. Very unprofessional.

Richie handles all piercings. He only accepts walk ins. I got my nips pierced. He was very thorough in explaining the process keeping it short but also explaining everything he was doing before he did it. I will return to A1.

Its clean the artists are nice and they are quick to get you in. They do an amazing job.

I went here to get my spider bite piercing done and Richie was great. He gave me great advice and made sure I was ok the whole time and even made jokes which I always love about people!

When there to get something I had only gotten there in the past. When I suggested that this was only place I know that sells the item I was treated like I was wasting the mans time asking for something they dont sell. Dont matter what it is I was buying courtesy should be top on anyones business practices.
