I have been to this shop multiple times and every time I walk out satisfied. They have never disappointed me. Melissa was my piercer today and she was great! She walked me through the process and made feel as comfortable as possible! I love it here and always recommend people come and get some work done here.

My friend and I went to Melissa for the Friday the 13th special and she did fantastic. She made sure we were comfortable for all of our piercings and talked us through the process. She was very kind and helpful, love her!

I had an amazing experience at La Plaza was pierced by Melissa she was very professional and attentive. I got 2 piercings (Marilyn and Belly button) which she executed perfectly and with very little discomfort. I would highly recommend her for any of your piercing needs. I also went on another occasion and got a tattoo from the artist Emanuel and he did an exceptional job! Keep up the good job guys!

I highly recommend La Plaza Tattoo! Such a welcoming environment. Staff is all super professional and show that they care about the work they’re doing. Specifically Amber who has tattooed me multiple times now. She always comes through and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the whole process!

My daughter came to get her nose pierced by Melissa and she did awesome. We were about to leave, but my daughter felt lightheaded and Melissa took amazing care of her. Made sure she had things to eat and drink, did some tests to where she felt okay to stand back up. She also gave me her number so I could text or call whenever if I had any questions about thr piercing. She told us how to take care of the piercing and went into great detail with everything. Took her time to make sure everything was perfect for us and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. highly recommend her!!

I recently got an industrial piercing here and honestly it’s a great environment and everyone’s pretty nice and cool. Everything was pretty clean and the vibes were awesome. My only reason for not rating higher is because my piercing wasn’t pierced correctly and the earring that was used was way to small and it fit my ear super super snug and the screw in part was literally becoming embedded into my skin because of how tight it was on both sides of the piercing. I texted another shop about it and they made it a point to tell me that I should remove the piercing because it’s never going to heal right because the industrial was laid up against a ridge in my ear and the jewelry itself was becoming embedded. I’ve taken care of it every step of the way so there’s nothing else I could have done. I also wanted to state that I also got an eyebrow piercing and it’s so far went amazingly and I love it. So realistically it’s like a 50/50 situation. I will say however the piercer was such a sweet amazing lady who was amazing every step of the way. I’m sadly just disappointed it didn’t work out considering how much I paid.

A guy came to the door and told us the lady who did piercings wasnt there, so why would she tell us we could come get pierced any time??

I got my third lobe piercings done here for a walk-in! Melissa was fantastic and very friendly. She talked me through the whole process and aftercare. Will definitely be returning for more piercings! She did a wonderful job on my friend as well. It’s easy to tell she is experienced.

Annie of La Plaza met me to discuss the addition of a tattoo to an ongoing piece. She then completely redid that piece and placed another written message tattoo on my other forearm. My old tattoo was brought back to life with its additional piece and fresh color. She plowed through 6 hour only stopping for my two cigarette breaks. The place is huge. The other artists were kind, dropping by to see the work when not working themselves.

I recently lost my GSD, Molly in January and so I wanted to commemorate her by getting a portrait tattoo of her. Annie did a phenomenal job of capturing my Molly and I am super happy with the result. I would highly recommend her for anyone interested in getting a tattoo (especially a dog portrait).

We stopped in to get piercings for my bridal day. Melissa did a double conch piercing for me. I was only going to do one at first because I was afraid of the pain. She took her time with assessing my ears and the proper placement for each piercing. She made sure that I was comfortable during the process and somehow managed to make my piercing rather painless. I didn’t renew up one bit! She is very knowledgeable in her work and the customer service provided from her was top tier!! Her thoroughness and ability to identify what is best for each persons anatomy is one that makes you want to look for a reason to come back to her. I am in love with my new piercings and still pretty much pain free. Walk-ins are welcome. Don’t walk in, run & ask for Melissa!! She truly exceeded my expectations!!

Been thinking about getting my nipples pierced for a while. Friends told me it was going to be the worst pain ever (worse than childbirth) and made me so nervous about the experience. So after building up the courage…I finally went on a Sunday! KC was very professional, patient, gentle, and understanding! I was nervous enough to ask for another person to hold my hand and he was kind enough to bring someone in to hold my hand for it. I’m very happy with my experience here, and for anyone thinking about getting their nipples pierced…just do it. It’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Especially when done by KC! Thanks!

Melissa gave me my first in shop nose piercing. She made this an amazing experience. It was quick easy and minimal pain. Very disappointed with la plaza tattoo, for a shop to be great at lettering tattoos I’m not sorry to say but I’ve been let down. not only did they mess up the scripture the Brat Marie also misspelled Forsake and hasn’t gotten back to me to fix it. there were a lot of things that went wrong but as a shop I’m very disappointed in you guys. And just to put it out there if you’re new at tattooing and don’t feel comfortable don’t just jump to anything for extra money I admire honestly more than anything

Annie is amazing! I walked in with a couple specific requests and she KILLED it! They are my 2 favorite pieces for sure! One is color and she put 4 different tones in very small spaces and it looks SOOOO GOOD! The other was a very strange request (I couldn’t find a tattoo online for her to reference) and she free handed it PERFECTLY! I am going back next week!

Had an amazing experience with Melissa on 10/13 for the Friday the 13th deals! Went in with two friends around 5 pm, was told it would be 2 hr wait for piercings and 4 hrs for tattoos. Signed our names n left numbers, was told they’d call us. Around 830 we go back, (3.5 hours later) and tell them we had signed up earlier, and they tell us that they’ve been super busy and unable to call everyone (that’s okay it’s fri the 13) and that we could sign up and they’d honor the deals the next day, or we could wait some more. We elected to wait, and about an hour later we are called back and 1 friend gets her tattoo worked on. She was only able to get one of the two she wanted, and no piercings because around 10 I had to take her back to her baby, so my second friend got hers while we left (told the artist we’d be back cause friend #2 and I still wanted piercings and I wanted my tattoo if possible) I came back around 11 and waited for the piercing some more. It was finally around 12 that Melissa came in and we found out she was the ONLY PIERCER there rocking out that whole day!!! She took us back and was SO kind and friendly, we discussed what I wanted (piercing on both sides of the nose) and how it would look because of my nose shape, and she was super patient as we adjusted one side multiple times to get it just right. She also hooked me up with a different piece of jewelry at no additional cost because of my anatomy, all while being literally exhausted. She gave me good aftercare tips and told me to text her if I had questions about ANYTHING. I’ve never felt so safe with a piercer in my life. They also let us honor the tattoo flash deal the next day since we didn’t have time, and Yvette/Marie was so funny and sweet and patient as I was dramatic about my first tattoo. She has a light touch and my tattoo looks great! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because it was a little disorganized and kinda awkward being ushered around places in the shop while waiting on Friday, and the wait time was crazy, but honestly as a whole I’m not even mad cause it was a great day, and it ended up being very fun and memorable. Both days actually. P.s the taqueria close by is way better than the taco truck that was there on fri the 13th ;)

I have seen Marie about 2 times now, and two of my friends have been to her as well, and she has been literally so amazing to me and everyone else , kept everything clean and organized, very punctual and great communication, I highly recommend her to anybody needing any sort of tattoo.

My daughter got some piercings done. Turn out in the next week it fell off wasnt use to it. Called up there they said will put it in for 10 bucks. We get there and now it was 20 bucks to put it back in. We questioned why 20 they said thats the price you spoke to the owner but he dosent know.

I’ll start by saying Luis Ramirez is an amazing artist, I watched his work for over a year before I saved up enough money to start a sleeve with him. Finally got into my first appointment (was supposed to be a 6 hour appointment he had something come up after 2 hours) we got all the outlines done and everything looked great. I was super excited about it. I give him 100$ deposit to schedule the second appointment, drive a hour round trip, and he didn’t even show up or answer my calls. He finally got ahold of me and apologized and I thought whatever things happen. So we reschedule the appointment and when the day we rescheduled for came he ignored my messages all day long, finally got ahold of him, and he had some excuse on why he had to run out of town last second. Okay whatever I’m fine with it and we reschedule for a THIRD time. The THIRD rescheduled appointment time comes around and I message him several times if we are still good for the time (since he stood me up and wasted a hour drive the first time) and he would just read my messages and not reply. And then I checked his story 30 minutes before my appointment time it’s a picture of him putting a huge stencil on someone else. I finally gave up and am just going to live with a halfway done REALISM TATTOO on my arm. So bummed out about the deal as I looked forward to this for over a year. Never sent me my deposit back after blowing me off 3 times in a row. I’ve never dealt with a shadier person, just don’t make the mistake of signing up for a big piece of work with this dude, one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in my life and just warning others so it doesn’t happen to them.EDIT: bros reply is 🧢 trust me I tried so hard to work with this man before giving up on it.

Melissa took care of my best friend and I. Went in and got a crazy good deal for an eyebrow and nostril. The jewelry was beautiful I got a jewel stud on my nostril that is so pretty and a spike ring for my eyebrow !

Melissa did an amazing job on my conch and flat ear piercing. My sister and I came during the Friday the 13th event and she made us feel comfortable even with the chaos around us.

I would never go back. I got a septum piercing and later went with a friend to a different shop and had them look at it bc of the pain I was having. They looked at it and saw that LA Plaza Tattoos used the wrong type of jewelry when they pierced me, pierced me too low which lead to them piercing me through my cartilage. I would never go back. I had the most stressful experience and they didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing… my friend got a nostril piercing and they used the wrong jewelry to pierce her. It was way too short. When we walked on it smelt like someone had just lit up and it was horrible. The workers were going out and smoking then coming back in to work

Luis is an AMAZING tattoo artist . He worked on me for close to 8 hours for a tattoo tap out session. Its been almost a year and I constantly get compliments! I definitely recommend him to anyone. He does a super great job on portraits , best in the kc area!

Missing Ink is by far the best tattoo shop I’ve been to. Luis did my tattoo and it turned out better than I could ever imagine. All the tattoo artists are really nice and supportive of each other. The atmosphere of the shop itself was very lively, relaxing and vibrant. Luis did an amazing job but I would feel comfortable going to any of the artist there as I saw the work of multiple artists that day 💯.

I came in to get a tattoo and ended up getting serviced by Jose Vega. His artwork is fire and dude has some serious skill. He finished a piece for me that had a lot of emotional value to me and he killed it. 10/10 recommend.

My tattoo artist is Nuñez. I have never had a better experience at a tattoo shop. La Plaza is a dope organization overall. Diverse & welcoming, almost felt like I was back in Denver. My artist is Carlos, he’s friendly (all the staff is) & patient. I’ve been going to him since he started & he has the CLEANEST line work I’ve seen in Kansas. (Peep Luis portrait work too, CLEAN AF- will be going to him next)

I got my tattoo done by Vibe Inkk. He was so nice and gave me a dope experience. He was super easy to work with and really put effort into achieving what I wanted, but also using his knowledge to recommend what was best for the tattoo. I have tattoos, so I know about pricing, so I think his price was reasonable. He also made sure to show me that the needle was brand new and didn’t expire any time soon. My friends that were with me also said that they loved his welcoming vibe and want to go back to get tattoos done by him!

Went in for a tattoo and piercing, melissa helped my pick out placement and which piercings would look good for my ear. tattoo turned out phenomenal, and all was done at a reasonable price!

I went and got a tattoo from Luis Ramirez my first appointment was January 17 at 3 o’clock apparently he over booked and had to finish someone else came and told me it’ll be an hour. 4 hours later I finally get to sit in a chair, but he has a headache and only wants to do the outline. Then went for my second appointment still didn’t get finished and for my third about I was duck and dodge for 3-4 days while getting my messages read and left on seen because he didn’t want to tell me he had a convention so I left it alone for 2-3 weeks. We finally get something scheduled go in having allergy problems still didn’t get finished. Finally my forth and final appointment July 3rd told me come at 11 and was 30 minutes late then on top of that was on the phone arguing with internet company for an hour. Dont get me wrong at all good tattoo artist good dude just not a good businessman at all. 3 stars cuz the work is really good but anything else 1 star

I will give the establishment a 1, i read great reviews on how they welcome you, are very nice! Absolutely not the case i requested an appointment through FB they asked me which artist i wanted i requested two, then they confirmed the appointment, i said thanks, who will i be scheduled with from the two i requested left me on read. I arrive to my appointment a female was sitting in the front did not greet me, i said hello, i have an appointment get a nasty look. She said with who? told her another nasty face saying no. I show her the confirmation she walks back to a male Im going to guess its luis he says no! then calls me over asks me my name and said where did you make the appointment once again showed him the confirmation. He goes back and talks to an artist. And says come here she will take care of you! Should have left but decided to continue, i met gabs she was very sweet and professional. Made me feel comfortable in her chair after all that nasty attitude i dealt with. I give ink by gabs a 5 star and even though she is new she does such great work and has the sweetest vibe. I hope they can really take this review and work on their customer service skills and really make people feel welcomed.

I am very pleased with my tattoo. I have been to many tattoo artist in Kansas City but always had to get their work redone by someone else. Jimmy Garcia did a really good job and I have since referred five people to him.

Ithad taken me a long time to find a shop/Artist who I thought would get the style I wanted. I found some of Luis work and some of the portraits hes done without color. I originally just went in and just told him the Style I wanted and gave him room to decide what he thought was best & let him play with it a little . he then showed me different options of what I had asked. BUT THEN he showed me the same idea of what I asked but in a different Style & Im so glad he did . Is a good size peice on my back with ALOT of detail. Im 2/3 sessions in and I cant wait to see it finished. The shop atmosphere is awesome they really do make you feel comfortable. I feel like they really can cater to all different kinds of people. I will keep coming back here

I was supporting a friend through his tattoo coverup. It was relatively quick and the design over the old was flawless. At one point, the artist had to choose an image that masked it well, and came up with a great and unique design. Very comfortable experience - I mean, I wasnt getting stuck...so that helped.

Dude told me he was closed (guess because I had an out of town number, business number). Drove by as I was near anyway and noticed the shop was still open with customers. Daughters peircing had came out and needed to try to get it back in before it closed. Wasnt interested. So went down the street and was able to get right into another shop and peircing back in place!

This is the only place Ill come for my ink. Luis and the crew have always been professional and have offered great deals! I have brought friends here to get ink and they liked it as well. 5 stars check them out .
