Archangel Custom Ink Tattoo & Piercing

Spur of the moment place found while traveling from Myrtle Beach to our hometown in Louisville Kentucky. We wanted to get commemorative tattoos of our time at the beach. From the road we spoke to a lovely lady by the name of Anna on the phone who was wonderful and said come on in when you get to town. We had about a 4-hour drive at that point. We got there and met David and Lonnie. Both were wonderful and did beautifuI work. I highly recommend this place for its hospitality, as well as the store itself is immaculate, neat and clean. The customer service is amazing and the tattoos are phenomenal. Definitely go see Lonnie and Anna and the rest of the crew. We will definitely be driving back from Louisville to see them again. 🤟🏼

Was going in for a walk in and ended up making a same day appointment. We 100% had the absolute best experience here and left very happy with our new tattoos. Mine took roughly an hour and Lonnie absolutely killed it! Definitely will be coming back!

Everyone at Archangel was really friendly and welcoming. Lonnie did a fantastic job on both of our tattoos. He was very accommodating to customize the images we brought him. We couldnt be happier!!

I got my conch pierced here about a week ago. Was an amazing experience! $60 for the piercing, jewelry, and aftercare? A great deal for a quality place. My conch has been healing well, and I will definitely be going back if I get another piercing!

Archangel Custom Ink Lonnie are absolutely the BEST. There is nobody else that I would trust with my tattoos. Not only does he do amazing original work, but my cover-up tattoo was absolutely phenomenal. There is absolutely no trace whatsoever of the tattoo beneath. Lonnie is my go to guy forever.

I’ve got several tats and piercings for reference, and been around a few shops across the east coast. Booked my appt with Courtney online, and got a piercing and a couple of tattoos from Courtney this past month. Clean space, lovely nerdy vibes. The piercing was a conch and healed up great. Tattoos were quick and executed well, priced mainly on the piece rather than hourly. Courtney was excellent in her professional role while still shooting the breeze. I will definitely go back to see her as time allows!

I recently had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Creighton Lute, and I cant recommend him highly enough. From the moment I walked into the studio, Creighton made me feel welcome and comfortable. Very clean. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The gentleman who pierced my daughters ear lobes was awesome. (If you get a minors ears pierced, you do need their birth certificate) but overall highly recommend!

I got an absolutely wonderful Taylor Swift inspired tattoo from Lonnie. It was my first tattoo, but we chatted the entire session and it made me feel a lot more comfortable! Super clean and homey environment. Will be going back! (was fresh in the second picture)

Went here a couple days ago to get my septum pierced. Great price and was excellent timely considering I was a walk in, I was out within >20 mins. The owner seems like he actually cares for his employees which is amazing to see! Also good with answering the phone. I’ve had a bad experience with alter ego, and would recommend here over them. Will definitely be back to re-pierced my navel! :)

Absolutely amazing tattoos! On a road trip through Knoxville and decided to stop for a tattoo with my mom. Made an appointment and saw David. He did exactly what I asked for. Love the tattoo. We did have to wait a little over an hour past our appointment until we got tattooed, but it was definitely worth it! Nicest tattoo shop I’ve been in and if you’re wanting a tattoo in Knoxville, then this is the place to go. Will be coming back for future tattoos!

Highly recommend if you’re in the area!!! Me and my husband were in the area for a short time and decided to get tattoos, very clean professional and SO nice I had my daughter with us and was going to swap out (one of us adults in the car with my girl and then the other goes in after the first is done ) but they said it was ok for her to wait in the waiting area and even offered to keep a eye on her when my hubby was in the bathroom very clean line work and they even sent aftercare instructions to my email.

Lonnie was my artist, and his work is outstanding!! I highly recommend this shop.

This tattoo shop is by far the best around they have very reasonable prices for the outstanding quality of work they provide my favorite artist is Creighton. I give him just a small idea with no real way I want it and he comes up with a work of art and not to mention his room is decorated and designed tastefully. Overall this is a great tattoo shop very clean an sanitary for all your tattoo and piercing needs in the East Tennessee area. Would recommend 10/10

Courtney is amazing!!! I am so happy with the memorial piece she did for me today. Not only does she do amazing work, but she has a great personality which makes the experience that much better. The Experience from beginning to the end is amazing. It’s so clean and personable. I went to 8 shops before Arc Angel and I will never go anywhere else other than Arc Angel. Everyone comments of My AMAZING ART work .

The artist I booked with quit working there, and the shop had already taken my $200 deposit. They refuse to give it back, and didn’t even have the decency to tell me themselves. The artist reached out to me personally and let me know what was going on. I will never be going back to this shop and neither should anyone else. They have lost 3 of their artists in the past month. Most likely due to their terrible management and toxic atmosphere.

Had no Intensions on a tattoo that day but my daughter qnd I ended up there. I noticed the cleanliness as soon as I opened the door the girl at the desk was great to design what I wanted as I told her and Anthony was the absolute BOMB! I will def be using them again and again!!

My friend and I visited the shop in April for a small tattoo. My friend had Lonnie do hers. It was her first! It looks terrible 😢 the color just bled out from the lines. So sad. Luckily, InkBuddy came in from lunch in time to do what I wanted. A little butterfly behind my ear. Absolutely beautiful ❤️. So, while he was working on me, we talked about some more ink I wanted. It was a very personal tat and we discussed backed and forth about it. Went back to the shop, mid April to make a deposit for my tattoo to be done May 13. As the day grew near, I visited the shop to talk to Bud. I was told he didn’t work there anymore 🤔 I reached out to Bud by text and he told me, he was let go. I had made a $200 deposit for this ink! I went back and asked about my deposit and April told me all Bud’s deposit would transfer to him. Well… it didn’t happen 😡. Bud honored my deposit and my tattoo is beautiful. So… shame on you Archangel!!!! Bad business!! I was told later by April, that I would have a credit with them!! Never, will go there!! See Inkbuddy at Whitts True Tattoo for all your needs!!

My boyfriend and I loved our experience here! We were walk-ins and our artist got to us super quick and we were very impressed with our tattoos. Very reasonable pricing too. We’ll definitely be back!

Bud did a great job and I absolutely love it! I called and got in the same day. Very clean and professional. Felt very welcomed even though it was my first time there. He explained the process and answered all my questions. We even sung badly as he did the tattoo. I will definitely be coming back! Cant recommend this place enough!

For me, I’ve always said I’ll wait until my daughter asks to get her ears pierced. She finally reached an age (5) where she decided that she wanted them done! It was incredibly difficult to find a place that would pierce her age. I’m thankful I found this place! I couldn’t recommend them enough! They do amazing with kids! The facility was clean. I heard the receptionist speak to the client after us about how it may possibly be a wait. They are certain to take their time with any child, and not rush them! That warmed my heart! Our piercer, Miss French, had the most awesome room! She was welcoming, and put my baby at ease! I appreciate you all helping my daughter express herself with these piercings! She loves them! She’s been showing everyone their beauty. Lol. For me, all of this research about getting her piercings has led me to wanting a tattoo at your facility. I will be back! Thank you!

Amazing place!! I wanna say thank you to Courtney for doing my turtle tattoo on my foot, with a beautiful water color behind, I absolutely love it & will more than likely be coming back to her for the rest of my tattoo experiences. I got a tattoo last week and couldn’t tell what was wrong with it until now after the irritated skin finally went away after having the job done and it was messed up in 3 spots. This was supposed to be a very meaningful tattoo and it is ruined because the lines are so janky and touching pieces that aren’t supposed to be touching, it’s just a mess and my friend who got a tattoo from an apprentice looks 20 times better than this.

Highly recommend this place. Very friendly, great customer service. The whole studio exceeds health regulations and cleanliness. Happy to become a part of it.

Fun, informative and did a great job.All the staff was incredibly friendly, and Renae did an awesome job with my piercing. Went here for my very first tattoo! Its super clean, all the people are extremely nice and helpful. I went to Creighton with a very basic idea for what I wanted, and I mean very basic just the shape of the ankh and a snake around it, and he blew it out of the park! Could not ask for a more amazing experience getting my first tattoo, and the result, this work of perfection. This is the place to go!

Got my first tattoo here. Courtney was so friendly and comforting through the whole process. She let me be picky and worked with me to make me happy BEFORE I got tatted. And she called a few days later to check on the healing process. I will definitely be back soon for more.

Lonnie is a great artist. I have worked with numerous tattoo artists, and no one has ever been as easy to work with as Lonnie. He has done a cover up for me, and several other pieces that I am very proud of. I will not go to anyone else for artwork in the future. I am planning a trip in the spring to Knoxville for vacation - and my only goal is to make sure I have a full day available for Lonnie to do a new piece (sleeve) for me.He does some badass work!The image attached is one of Lonnies on my upper arm. Colors dont fade, and the artistic element is off the chart!

I’ve been working with Creighton for the past 6 months and have been impressed at every step along the way. He’s extremely talented and charges bargain prices for work of his caliber. April does a phenomenal job at the front desk and everyone in the shop is easy to talk to. My best friend and I were in a time crunch to get tattoos before she moved out of town. Bud offered to come in on his day off so we could get it done. He was so funny and personable, while simultaneously being very professional. He made both of us feel very comfortable and he worked quickly and with precision. Love love love this place!! I usually go to a different piercer but mine doesn’t do septum’s anymore so a friend recommended me here. We were automatically welcomed in and did not need an appointment. The atmosphere was so inviting and i don’t know what kind of spray or smell they had in there but damn it literally calmed my nerves. They had a super cozy couch to chill on while you are waiting. The entire staff had their art on display and let me tel you i will come back for a tattoo because dude everyone’s art i saw was so incredibly beautiful and unique. My piercer was Renae and she was incredible!! She was so kind and made me feel at home. I cannot recommend this amazing wonderful place more, will be going back!!

I had an amazing experience with Bud at Archangel. He was so friendly and patient. I wanted to get this tattoo for my grandma who passed away in August. I spent hours researching artists/shops and I am so glad I landed here. The environment there is so friendly and welcoming.

I had my earlobes pierced today by Courtney French and she was absolutely awesome! Super friendly, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. She explained every step, poked holes in me, gave me aftercare instructions, and I even got a sticker. 😁I have been here before where I received a tattoo from Kat England. She did an excellent job as well.The studio has a nice atmosphere, it’s clean, and everyone is friendly. They have the health inspection report posted showing a 100. The artists do excellent work and the prices are very competitive. I highly recommend Archangel and will be going back when I’m ready for some more body art.

My wife took me here to get my first tattoo about 2 weeks ago. They were open late which was really convenient for us at the time. The atmosphere when we first got in was really relaxed and comfortable, they had pictures of all the art that had been done there by various artists, it was really cool! There was a no pressure environment, the staff was friendly, and helpful with all the questions I had. My wife and I both got tattoos about the size of our hands, the price was more than reasonable. Creighton did both of our tattoos. He was fast, and fun to talk to! They both came out awesome! I will be returning to finish the other couple tattoos that I would like to get. Overall I had a really good first experience here.

I was so incredibly nervous that I brought an emotional support friend with me and all that. Everybody was so nice to me (and my friend!) that my nerves were mostly gone before getting my ear pierced. Chadrick made me feel a lot better and made me laugh a lot. Would definitely recommend coming here for a first piercing other than standard lobes. My only (tiny) complaint is that I had to pay up front, including tip, and I wish I tipped more. :)

I got my first tattoo (third overall) from Archangel on December 30 2018. I can tell you that it will not be my last. Creighton was my artist and he did a great job on the tattoo which is a tribute to my brother Steve. He and Courtney were the ones working on the day I went in and they were both very cool and customer oriented. The shop is clean and the attitude is very laid back and focused on getting you what you want. Excellent work and overall experience was great. Very happy!

I’m a procrastinator with reviews but tonight will be my second time in with Lonnie as a customer under the needle. This place never fails to impress me and after having my side tattoo for two years, I’m still in love with it as if I just got it yesterday!Lonnie is the friendliest person, and has awesome bedside manner. His work is super high quality and he makes sure to go out of his way to meet your expectations by asking LOTS of questions and double checking everything before putting any work on you. His work is very detailed and there is a lot of precision that goes into the art, but he’s also reasonably fast. For my super detailed and relatively large piece, I was only on the table for 1.5 hours but my piece looks like it took much longer. You can tell he’s been doing it for a long time just by looking at any tattoo he’s done!This place is also very clean. This was my primary reason for choosing this shop when I made the decision to get a tattoo. The artists wear gloves and make sure to go over everything before you even begin. 12/10 impressed.TL;DR if you’re looking to get something done, don’t go anywhere else because archangel is where it’s at!

Anyone looking for a great tattoo place, here it is. This is easily the best tattoo shop in tennessee. Friendly staff, amazing artists. Courtney French has done 6 of my tattoos, I go to her everytime. She’s sweet and very talented. For my most recent tattoo, I had Lonnie, now I won’t lie I was hesitant because I only trusted Courtney, but he did an amazing job. He knew exactly what to do and i’m so glad he did my tattoo. He turned a simple outline into something awesome. I just wanted to leave a nice review and thank the archangel staff for all they do!

My experience was awesome! I went to get a piercing, and they all made me feel so welcome and helped me feel great about my decision! This is the perfect environment if it is your first time getting pierced because the staff are not intimidating at all and theres even an area to watch TV while you wait! The piercer was quick about piercing my body and I loved that she gave me cues on when to breathe and even shared stories with me to make my experience more personal.I cannot wait to go back!

Had an amazing experience with Courtney on Friday the 13th (9/13/19). The wait time for a tattoo was definitely 100% worth it. She was very friendly and very personable even after having been there for 12+ hours, and still had a few more customers after me. The tattoo came out great and I cannot wait to get another done! My sister and I were able to get matching sun and moon tattoos at a reasonable price. Courtney was super friendly and did awesome work! She even was able to fix my awful Hope tattoo that I had gotten from a different shop two years ago. She shop is super clean and relaxing. The artwork from all of the artists there is phenomenal. Renae did mine and my sister’s medusa piercing! She was so kind and so funny, she definitely made all of my anxiousness about it immediately go away. Unlike some other piercers i’ve gone to Renae actually made me feel so comfortable, and even gave me advice on starting a career in the tattoo/piercing industry. The piercing itself was so quick and overall pretty painless. I’ll definitely be coming back to see Renae again! Highly recommend her for all your piercings! 10/10

My sister, cousin and I had walk in visits this morning. Courtney greeted us and took care of us when we got there. She was very accommodating and friendly. She did my sister and cousins tattoos, and Creighton did mine. He did an amazing job. He went above and beyond me, and made sure that i walked out with an beautiful piece of art on my arm. I really liked this place. They did an excellent job on my daughters first tattoo and piercings. A very clean and professional place. The artists there are phenomenally talented in drawing something up when you explain or telling them what your thoughts are on the tattoo that youre wanting. Plus, the staff is super nice and make you feel very comfortable. A laid back environment. Archangel Custom Ink even called my daughter a few days after getting her tattoo and piercings to see how everything was healing. They also mailed a thank you note to. We came here for the halloween flash day, everyone was super sweet, they gave us food and drinks to hold us over! they also tried their hardest to get us in and out. I’ve been to Buddy, Courtney, Donnie, and Chadrick. all of them have completely exceeded my wildest dreams on my tattoos, and i am excited for them to continue on this journey of tattooing me!

I decided to go to Archangel after seeing what a great job they did on several friends of mine- I was not disappointed! The service was great and everybody was really friendly, Courtney talked me through getting my first tattoo, the price was reasonable, and I would definitely go back again! Me and my friend came in and were both super nervous about getting our first tattoo’s! We had Craighton and he was awesome! He was very comforting and polite! Absolutely amazing experience! I got both of my earlobes done by Renee! She was amazing at keeping me calm and distracting me from my worry of the pain. I am super sensitive and I almost couldn’t feel it! It was also super clean with sanitization visibly seen on everything before and after use from the chair to the equipment. I could not have asked for a better experience! I’m beyond happy with my choice of coming here!

My friends and I visited Archangel two weeks ago and were pierced by Courtney French. The atmosphere was very chill and they had us all wash our hands as soon as we came in. Her workspace was immaculate and very clean (not to mention all of the tattooists work on display was so impressive)!!! She made us feel so comfortable and had us all cracking up. She was very thorough in explaining piercing aftercare and even gave us each a bag of salt to make our own saline solution with. I 100% would recommend going here and plan on returning for whichever piercing or tattoo I get next😌

Ive been coming to this shop since 2017 because of the atmosphere and how clean it is. I know when I’m getting a tattoo or piercing that there’s nothing to worry about. Creighton did some lettering for my arm and I am always getting compliments because of how great it turned it out. I was extremely impressed with it and still love it to this day. I cannot say enough nice things about Krissy aka Miss Ink! She is the sweetest person and so talented. She had drawn a tattoo I had asked for previously and when it didn’t look right in the area I wanted, she was able to quickly find a solution and make something I loved even more than the original design. It is my favorite tattoo that I have on my body. It is so well done and her line work is amazing. She’s very easy to talk to and it made the uncomfortable experience go by very quickly. I will always come to her from now on!

Renae was my piercer and made my experience a 10/10. Her experience truly shows in the techniques she uses to ease you through the piercing, as well as her ability to calm any nerves you may have. I definitely recommend and will be a returning customer in the near future. Thanks, Renae!

I would give them a 4 because they truly deserve it. However, one of the artist (not the owner) was a little condescending, and act as if dark skin (mind you I medium brown) people can’t get tattoos, but then stated he was world renowned, in magazines and that part was a complete turn-off. But as Creighton was doing my friend tattoo who is lighter than me, I asked and he had no problem scheduling me for an appointment. And because I didn’t want to leave empty handed I got my nipples pierced. Creighton did an awesome job with them as well. His entire vibe and professionalism was great and I can’t wait to go back.

My friend and I came here to get new piercings. The place looked very nice and clean. Our piercer complained about doing the same thing all day like it wasn’t their job. Once we got into the room it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing, and made a few rude comments to us. They pierced my friend before me and then pierced my ear wrong the first time and tried to say I flinched. I did not flinch. I had blood running down my neck. Neither of us remember if they got a new needle to re-pierce what they had just done. We had very high expectations considering the reviews but were very disappointed. The next day while I was at work, I noticed my ear was feeling weird so I lightly grazed it and there was a blood clot on my thumb.

I had a very good experience with this business. Chadrick did my tattoo and was very professional, and did a great job at making me feel comfortable. Everyone else that worked there that I came into contract with was also very nice. Overall the vibes that I got were great 👍 You can tell that the people who work here truly enjoy their work and take pride in it. This was my first tattoo so I was a bit nervous, but it really was a great experience and I will definitely be back when I figure out what I want for my ankle, lol. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back one day!

My friend and I were walk-ins on 6/5/18 and got piercings done. After trying 3 other places earlier, we were very happy to find a place so clean and with a great jewelry selection! Creighton was the only one available and had us in and out in a flash. This was our first time at this shop and the atmosphere was great! We will definitely be returning for future body work!

I have gotten a few tattoos and piercings from different shops in the area, and after going to Archangel, I will not go anywhere else! I have already gotten a handful of tattoos from Eva Lyon, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone! She has been able to perfectly capture what I had in mind, and do so with beautiful, clean lines. Her art is amazing and I cannot wait to get more done by her. Everyone I have encountered has been nice, professional, and friendly - which I cannot say for other shops in the area!

I dont normally leave reviews, but I just have to here. Courtney and Creighton are so friendly and nice. My daughter and I each got a tattoo back in June and I went back yesterday for a touch up and a couple changes. Courtney was amazing and did exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend Archangel Custom Inc. Especially Courtney and Creighton. I cant personally recommend any other artist there, but Im sure theyre awesome too.

I got my right nostril done in July by Courtney and had a great experience. She was quick but didn’t rush, and gave me lots of words of encouragement. In september I went back to get my other side done but it was a different piercer this time. Beforehand I asked him to just *try* to get it as even as possible to my already existing piercing and he said that getting it even is impossible but he will try which is cool and i know that it would be difficult. moving forward however, he didn’t even let me see the placement before going in. Also, this time felt a bit rushed and the process was significantly more painful than my previous experience with Courtney. Anyway, it was pierced so uneven. Like, my close friends have noticed it as well without me asking. I am not trying to bash the work of the second piercer the placement looks great on its own but i would have preferred for it to have been *even*. my only major critique is that I wish he would have let me check the placement before moving along with the process.edited to add: I would also like to say a positive note from both experiences here is that the shop is extremely clean!

Such a cool vibe and really awesome people. They have a great receptionist who is super nice over the phone. I walked in and waited about 15 minutes to get pierced. I got my first and second tattoo there as well as having my ears pierced, I plan to go back hopefully sometime soon to get a memorial tattoo done for my aunt. The staff are nice and truly care about their clients, everything is clean and neat. As someone who tends to faint when being stabbed with a needle I would go back to get more piercings as they make sure you are feeling okay and provide you with water and such, which is more than I can say about other places I’ve heard of. I refuse to go anywhere else and hopefully one day I will be able to get started on a full sleeve there with one of the talented artists. Good vibes all around.

Courtney did an amazing job with my septum piercing! I recently moved to Knoxville, so this was my first time coming to Archangel. I was a little nervous about finding a new piercer, but because of Courtney’s professionalism and the overall experience I had at this shop, I will definitely be coming back!

Courtney has done all four of my tattoos now and plus my first color one, and she makes the atmosphere worth every bit of pain. I never felt more comfortable when getting tattoos done. She is such a fun spirit and really makes sure if you are doing okay and always giving the option to stop if it is getting too much. I was told by several artists that my old tattoo was impossible to cover up, except Lonnie. He did an exceptional job with bright colors, amazing detail, and perfection. I have never experienced such incredible customer service and professionalism as the Archangel studio. They always go above and beyond for every client. I got my first tattoo from this shop a year ago on my 20th birthday. i was very specific about what i wanted and even drew my own mock-up. the artist was incredibly dismissive of me and finished my tattoo in about 15 minutes. i was shocked that she was done, assuming she had barely even finished the outline because due to the placement i couldn’t watch as she worked. when i saw the tattoo i hated it, i immediately started to tear up and left quickly. i didn’t get the memo that this artist wasnt interested in doing anything but her own flash, because all her other work is very good. the shop otherwise seemed to be clean and professional but i personally had a negative experience with the particular artist. i hate this tattoo to this day and it upsets me because it was meant to be something special.

Warning: long postI started searching Tattoo shops in Knoxville, because I was new to the area, and found Archangel Custom Ink. ACI has the most positive reviews so I looked at their website. After looking through the Artists I found Creighton Lutes tattoos were most my style. I went in the first day and met with Creighton and scope the place out. The shop looked and smelled clean. Creighton was professional and we bounced some ideas around and made an appointment. Creighton had told me we would brainstorm ideas on my appointment. This is what separates the custom shops from the ready-made shops. I wasnt used to this and it left me a little unsure.On the appointment day I came in and Creighton and I sat down and we brainstormed and took several pictures and we said we like this feature on this pic and this on another and I like part of this pic can you modify it to what I want? NO problem! I spent the day with Creighton and we came up with the perfect CUSTOM tattoo for me. I could not be happier. I will go to Creighton for all my tattoos and would recommend him to anyone I know. I can not wait to make another appointment! Thank you so much!

It takes some people a long time to decide on getting a tattoo. Like me - at 65 years of age, I just got my first tattoo. It clearly was not a snap decision. I had been to 3 other shops to talk to artists. I had seen their work in pictures that they had in the shop. But, something that I believe is important is to be able to see the work that has been done on the person. Especially work that has been in place for a while. I have a friend who has a good bit of ink work. His tattoos all still look pristine. After asking him for the name of his artist (Lonnie Scoggins) I went to Archangel Custom Ink and looked over their shop. It is the cleanest of all the shops I had been to during my decision making.I made my appointment and I am very happy with the work that Lonnie did on me. It was not painful - not even a little bit. The lines are precise and clear. It is exactly what I had shown him that I wanted.Lonnie was fun to talk to while he was working on me. He was very clear in explaining the after care of my new tattoo. I asked him about coming back another time to add some lettering work around my new tattoo and he answered all my questions clearly and made me feel at ease that an add on wont affect my tattoo.I have decided that I will go back and have some lettering added to my tattoo.I highly recommend Archangel Custom Ink. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!UPDATE 6.26.2020I now am the very proud wearer of 3 tattoos. 2 of them by Lonnie, and 1 by Courtney.I wont ever go anywhere else for my tattoos! I just had a sternum piece done by Chadrick tonight and he did an AMAZING job. He was very professional, funny, and precise. On top of that, my tattoo turned out amazing and exactly what I asked for. The entire time, he made me feel super comfortable, as I was super nervous going into this. Will definitely be coming back to see him.

I was really excited to work with Eva because I had seen her work online and she was recommended to me by several people. I sent in an image and said how I loved her style and how I wanted something similar to a drawing I designed. When I arrived I was asked to pay full price before I was even tattooed which is not typical but I trusted her work because of her reviews so I went ahead. About an hour and a half later I had a simple outline that was an exact copy of what I sent her and nothing else. The outline was well done yes but I paid a lot of money for unoriginal work and only an outline when I expected a completed piece and an original redrawing. Eva is talented yes but I would definitely make sure to pay after your visit and be thorough in what you are wanting because I paid the same price I’d typically pay for a completed piece. She did agree to fix the piece for free which is amazing but just wanted to leave my experience to prevent someone else from giving or receiving misinformation.

I got my hips pierced here yesterday it was so clean, quick, and painless. I had Creighton Luke and he was awesome. He was very gentle and precise and made she everything was exactly how I wanted it before doing it. They gave me plenty of stuff to clean my piercings with for free. I’ll definitely be back!

Chadrick was the most professional artist I have ever had the great pressure to be tattooed by. He spent time getting to know me, finding out exactly what I wanted, sharing his story with me, bantering back and forth with my daughter, and asking about my well-being throughout the process, all the while creating a flawless custom piece that left me speechless! His attention to detail is amazing! I live out of state, so when I return to Knoxville next time, I will return to have him do more work for me! I love his work!

I got my very first tattoo done here on an impulse my Creighton. Even though I was a little baby about it and cursing the whole time he did a wonderful job. The lines were clean and well detailed, he also hooked me up on the size! It was wonderful and still is a month later! I’m aboht to go get the color done in it! I had some artwork done about a month ago by Chadrick. I am extremely pleased with the finished piece. The facility was extremely clean, Courtney and April the two other members of the team that I met were extremely helpful and friendly. This was my second tattoo but my first with Archangel. I loved Renae! It being my first facial piercing, I was nervous and antsy. Her funny commentary and personality was enough on its own to help calm my nerves, not to mention the extremely friendly atmosphere! I will definitely be going here again if I decide I want more piercings in the future!!

I came here about 3 months ago me and my boyfriend got our noses pierced. For me it was my second hole so I was kinda experienced with care. Here we are 3 months later and my hole is crooked and my jewelry does not sit right. Not to mention she was extremely rough with my bf and he got a keloid from her pulling and tugging. (He takes very good care of his piercing) but we both still have problems and discomfort. As I stated before this is not my first rodeo and these piercings should not be this hard to get in nor should It sit off my skin. Do not go here for piercings.

Creighton was absolutely wonderful with my 8 year old daughter. She was nervous about having her ears pierced but, he stayed kind, patient, and understanding throughout. My 13 year old wanted the industrial piercing done and, even though I was a bit nervous, the entire process was very smooth. One month Ago today my daddy took his final breath on this earth, so I decided to get a tattoo done in memory of him on my left side, of a heart along with his actual heartbeat and the word dad. I am a nurse and my current employer doesn’t allow tattoos to be shown while at work, so with the help of the wonderful tattoo artist, we decided to place it on my left side, close to my heart. Creighton Lute at ArchAngel custom ink Done an amazing job and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It’s absolutely beautiful and the meaning behind it means more to me than I can ever express. I can never thank you enough for the amazing work and the time that you took to make this tattoo a heartfelt tribute to my sweet daddy. He will always be my hero and now I’ll have his heartbeat close to my heart forever. Thank you Creighton, we will definitely be back to have some more tattoo work and piercings in the near future. I originally wasn’t going to come here & im disappointed in myself for not listening to my gut. my friend suggested i go here because a mutual friend of ours had a piercing done that they really liked, so i decided to come here to get a medusa piercing. initially, everyone was very sweet & kind to me when getting it done. the placement seemed a bit off but the lady who did my piercing said it was just the swelling. i gave her the benefit of the doubt considering she’s the professional & im not, but a few months later and the placement is still wrong, it’s a completely different piercing than what i asked for and a keloid started to form. i tried calling & going into the store multiple times to show/tell them my concerns and whoever answered the phone was very rude and acted like i was annoying her by calling. the person i spoke to in store was much nicer but they did kind of shrug off my concerns too & i ended up going to a different store to see if my concerns were valid & their piercer told me i was 100% right & that shes had to fix piercings from this location multiple times including twice today & almost everyone that came in said they were also not listened to when voicing concerns about their piercings. apologies for the long rant, but i’ve now spent over $100 on a piercing & to get it fixed along with a now having piercing i didn’t even want. please do not go here, please research your piercers before choosing one.

I can’t say enough about Archangel and their staff! Very clean, professional, friendly, and amazingly talented! Courtney has done all of tattoos and she will be my go-to for all future tattoos! I would (and have) recommend Archangel to my friends! They are the best!

I went to Archangel Tattoo for my belly button piercing! Courtney was absolutely amazing. She help me relax and explained the process to me very well and the result was beautiful. Definitely will be back soon!

I went in with a friend for some piercings and Creighton was very inviting and knowledgeable! Our piercings turned out perfectly and they were done so well there was little swelling and pain! I definitely recommend this shop! Very inviting, clean, fair pricing, and helpful!

It was my first time ever going in there. I got my eyebrow pierced. Courtney French done an awesome job. They are very friendly. I didnt even have to wait. She took me straight back to get it done. Definitely going back to them to get some ink done.

Went here for the first time last evening to get my nipples pierced and it will not be my last time there! Super friendly, clean, professional and she explained everything she was doing while making me feel completely comfortable. Prices were great too!This is my new GO TO spot around Knox

This place is awesome! The staff is super positive, and nice. The shop is the cleanest in the knoxville area! Creighton went out of his way to help me with my first tattoo, and was very patient. Creighton worked me in as a walked in & did an awesome, quick tattoo. The lady at the front desk was sweet, too. She also works at an emergency vet & had the cutest animal tattoos. Very nice staff & clean work. Thank you all so much.

This place is awesome!! We came here spur of the moment, because of a sign on the side of the road (on the way to a different tattoo shop) and just decided to check this place out. So glad we did!! Everyone was super friendly, and our artist, Iggy, was super awesome and very engaging. Very glad we stopped here and we will be back should we be back in the area!!

I came here to have my navel pierced by Creighton and the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was so lively. I was nervous about the precautions they would take to make sure everything was safe and clean but he was phenomenal in that department. I definitely plan to come back to have a tattoo done in the near future.

I was a walk-in one night, I talked to the two guys that was there about what I was wanting and they were able to get what I wanted worked up quickly with a good price! It was exactly as I had explained wanting and turned out just how I had wanted! Very professional, fun conversation and awesome willingness to work with a walk-in! This shop sets the standard for what a professional tattoo shop is supposed to be . From consultation to finished product my experience was top notch all the way . The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating with great personalities to match. After looking through Lonnie the owners portfolio I was very eager to have him work on me . Not only did he meet my expectations he exceeded them by leaps and bounds . If you take your tattoos seriously you’d be foolish to consider anyplace else .

Ms. French is an excellent artist. She has done 3 tattoos for my husband and myself. They turned out great. The whole shop is open and friendly, wonderfully clean and relaxing in atmosphere. I would highly recommend giving this shop consideration for your next or your first tattoo.

I went to Creighton to have a cover up done on my chest. Unfortunately for me, it needed a lot of lines and with that comes pain. He l not only was he extremely accommodating to me breaking down over the emotional part of it, but he gave me plenty of breaks and even let me know about the lidocaine option after i told him jokingly that I needed some! That was a life saver! All in all, i give him and this business a 20 star rating. Once i get the nerve up to get another one, Ill most definitely be going through Creighton and Archangel!

Just started coming to Archangel not even a week ago and both times coming in less than a week have been amazing. Everyone there is awesome, so friendly so clean. Thank you to Krissy For amazing work and talking me through everything on my tattoo. Will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

I went to their Friday the 13th yesterday and got tatted up by both Creighton and Kat, as well as got a cute little cartilage snugged hoop by Pickle! They were all so nice and made sure that I felt welcome and was comfortable with where each tattoo and piercing was place and also made sure it complimented me. I’m for sure going back!

I had a couple of messages back and forth with Lonnie, but ended up being a walk in. All the staff was super friendly and made us feel comfortable. Courtney was amazing and did such a great job! Im already talking to her about my next piece....very clean and very knowledgeable

I have gotten tattoos from both Lonnie and Courtney and they are both amazingly talented and professional. Very neat and clean environment. They ask you questions and make sure that youre getting exactly what you want. Definitely recommend.

I got my nose and my industrial pierced and it was such a good experience because of these guys! They were so super nice and even gave me a discount! The guy who pierced my ear was very gentle and talked me through what was happening and just an over all great experience! 10/10 would recommend

Went in and got my snake eyes tongue piercing done by Creighton. A very hard piercing to find here in Tennessee already but when I got there the staff was super friendly and the shop looked clean. He did a great job and I love the piercing.

Had a totally awesome experience! was out shopping with my son and decided to stop in to get a tattoo that I have been wanting. They were very welcoming and totally cool with my son hanging out. the tattoo turned out better than I hoped for and I will definitely be going back!

Only place to go for a tattoo! I walked in without an appointment and was greeted by smiling happy people. I wanted to add to a small tattoo that I got somewhere else so I didnt know for sure what I wanted. Lonnie worked with me and came up with an amazing fix! They make you feel right at home. Oh...and the place is immaculate! Taking my husband back for his new ink!

I wasnt crazy about the attitude of the people at this place. It seems like Im not cool enough to get my tattoo there so I probably am not going to get one there. But you might be cool enough to go there and they might accept you and make you feel warm and welcome. For me that was not the case. Im sure theres lots of nicer people out there doing tattoos.

I came in today to get my first tattoo by Kat, though it was small, she was very professional and I was so impressed about comfortable she made me. She rocked it and I could not be happier. I will definitely be back for another one by her. You are amazing Kat!

If you’re looking for amazing quality tattoos that don’t charge up the butt in pricing, this is the place to go. They are open and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. Courtney is great and walks you through the entire tattoo. Would definitely recommend!

Lonnie did an outstanding job on my Polynesian tattoo and I could not thank him enough for making it look right and adding vibrant flowers to it. I will definitely go to him a million times, because he understood the assignment and freaking nailed it!!

Very professional all together. My experience was with the piercer and she really knew what she was doing. Definitely reccomending this place to get a good percing. Lots of artists to choose from if thinking about getting a tattoo here as well with friendly and creative artists.

I have a few tattoos from another shop and they are not in anyway close to the quality of the tattoos I have gotten from Lonnie Scoggins. I will not go anywhere else ever!!! The office is clean and they are very relaxed. This kind of environment helps to keep me relaxed while getting my ink. I have also gotten 2 piercings. I have sent several friend and my children to Archangel.
