I went in today for the Friday the 13th sale and got three piercings. Even with the rush, everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Jacki pierced my daith and double helix. She was great and talked me through everything. I really enjoyed my experience and the environment of the shop. I will definitely go back and will recommend them to anyone. Great selection of jewelry too!

This was one of the most welcoming atmospheres! Jacki pierced my and my friends conch, and it was nearly painless. I have had many piercings and this was the best shop/experience I have had. She was so professional and comforting, like your best friends mom! (is that weird? 😂) Wish I wasnt from out of state because I would never go to anyone else to pierce me.If youre considering a piercing. Go to Jacki!!!!

Been there like 6 times now! My tattoo artist Andrew Luce is amazing! I have 5 pieces made for him so far and definitely more to go I even have one that we have been doing for multiple sessions. I love the environment he creates every time I go and get a tattoo its amazing, he always listens to what Im imagining in my mind so he can create something amazing that I will love! Also, you can talk to him about a lot of things and have fun! Not only he is great I will say all the staff I have interacted with are amazing people and I love to be there! Also, they have candies at the entrance!!!! Love the place and they also just expanded so very happy for all of them

Received my first ever tattoo here and I can see why it is so highly recommended and sought out. The establishment itself is clean, has comfortable and eclectic decor, and each and every artist has their own sense of style and talent. I had the absolute pleasure of being tattooed by Jami. She was such an angel! Endlessly comforting, funny, attentive to detail, and made quick time with her work! I will treasure this first tat and I cannot wait to return for more ink! I went there on April 7th as a walk-in for my first tattoo. Grace at the desk was very accommodating and patient as we tweaked the design to get it just right, and she answered all of my questions (I had a lot) in such a friendly manner. Danny, my artist, did an amazing job on my tattoo and talking to me through the whole process -- we even ended up talking with the other artist in the room who was also incredibly friendly. I was very nervous when I walked in, but by the time Danny started I had no worries at all. Thank you to Danny and Grace and all of the staff for making my first tattoo such a pleasant experience.

I couldnt be more appreciative for Jacki. We brought my daughter in to get her ears pierced and after the first ear, lets just say getting her to do the second was a challenge. Jacki was calm, patient, and very understanding with her. We were able to get my daughter to sit for the second ear and it was done in seconds. I will refer anyone and everyone to go here for piercings with Jacki. I again can not thank you enough! She even got a certificate for her first piercing.The studio was very clean and professional!

Jamie Owen has done my past 3 tattoos the first two as an apprentice and she did excellent work. Today since becoming licensed and I am very satisfied with a very unique and original piece. The service is top notch and the entire staff expresses a sincere diligence for every client. I believe I have found my place and artist.

I had the most amazing experience with Jamie Pierce from Mythical Markings Tattoo Studio. I went in with my parents fingerprints and sat and talked with Jamie. I told him a little bit about their history and my concept to transform their prints into dandelions. He listened and totally got what I was going for. I went in and got it done today, I couldn’t be happier. Jamie is not only an amazing artist but he tattoos effortlessly with the lightest hand. The shop is immaculate and has the best vibe. This was my first visit the shop is very clean and everyone there was very friendly. Jami Owens is the artist that done my tattoo and she was fantastic! She was very sweet, friendly and understanding! She kept checking on me during my tattoo and chatted with me to keep my mind busy. The tattoo was one my husband drew for me and i didnt want to change a thing. Jami was able to use the drawing and completed the tattoo to a T. My tattoo is so perfect! If your looking for an artist I highly recommend Jami! I will be going back to her for future tattoos!

This was such an amazing place. My sister got her first ear piercings and I got my forward helix. We were both pierced by Jacki and she was such a wonderful help with making both of us feel comfortable and made sure I had the correct anatomy for the piercing I wanted. Which was reassuring because I knew from then on that she knew what she was doing. Additionally, she was very responsive over DMs and was transparent with me about pricing, jewelry, etc. Love this place and if I’m ever in Knoxville again I will for sure make another visit here!

What a great place to get a tattoo or anything great costumer service. I came to get a full sleeve and Jamie done the start of it and done an amazing job on the line work and the details. And has a great attitude and everything you could ask for into an artist. Can’t wait for the finish up on the sleeve and will most definitely be back for more!

StJamie is amazing. I had a tattoo on my back in remembrance of my Mamaw and it needed some work. I also needed to add my papaws remembrance as well. The shop was very clean, and I loved the decor. Everyone was sowelcoming. Had my second and third ear piercings done today by Grace and was very happy with my experience! She was precise in the measurements and the piercings were quick and I felt little pain. So much better than the retail staple gun experience 🤣 If you are wanting safe and sterile piercings you cannot go wrong with Grace and Jacki at Mythical!!

Went to get my septum re-pierced as its been out for almost 3-4 years, so I thought it had closed. Danny checked before piercing and found out it wasnt closed at all! She got a lubed taper through it, no problem, and I had my septum back without piercing. I had her check my old nipple piercings, and it was the exact same thing. I got 3 of my piercings redone without any piercing, and Im so glad she checked for me before adding another piercing in my nose. Best experience Ive ever had

Here I am leaving another review about how amazing this shop is! These piercers really know what they’re doing, and care about not only the quality of jewelry but your anatomy. I’ve been seeing Jackie and she’s awesome! Every piercing I’ve gotten from her is perfect. I’m currently getting an ear curation from her and it’s going to perfect. Their other piercer is also so amazing. This is by far the most caring shop to go to. I’m so excited to finish my curation!

This place lies about doing custom tattoos. Wife paid a $100 deposit for a custom drawing only to find the exact drawings online. When the artist wouldnt / couldnt make the requested changes they did not give the deposit back.

I’ve been going to see Waldo at mythical 3X over the last 7 months and the work he has done is beyond my expectations!!! Every tattoo he has done to complete my dream sleeve has been fulfilled! All I did was explain what I wanted done and he made it happen! We communicated before, during and after; 12 years of ideas into one awesome sleeve!

They were so sweet. I actually briefly passed out because I hate needles but they were so nice and sweet and it went well in the end result. Would 10/10 recommend, specifically Grace and Jackie.

I went in to get my nose pierced. Nice open area/lobby when you walk in. I was greeted right away and asked if I had an appt (which I did). Jacki was very gracious and knowledgeable, she helped me pick out my jewelry & discussed everything I needed to know about my piercing and how to care for it. I felt very comfortable and Jacki did a great job! I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I had a conch piercing done by Grace and she was lovely!! She also helped me with my daith because I originally came in to have it re done and it actually wasn’t closed up. Super great piercer and very nice looking shop!!

Got a cover up done by Jamie and it came out better than expected. Artist was cool and friendly, really took his time with every detail and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.

Piece would have taken 3 sessions and cost over $1000. Every other artist Ive asked about it said it should have been a one-shot unless I tapped out, and no more than $600. Tattoo got infected (under the saniderm) the 2 times I was actually tattooed, costing me even more in medical bills; the artist said the scarring from the first session, which came about from massive lesions forming where hed tattooed me, was places hed intentionally left free of ink and did this whole, No, honey, I did that on purpose, condescending thing when I mentioned he might have to go back over it (as if I wasnt there to see my leg swell up and have to get antibiotics to kill the horribly painful infection, or as if you cant feel the dips where the scars are). Walk-in clinics arent cheap, and, in total, I spent close to $500 extra getting meds to fight the infections from this tattoo. The doctor at the clinic told me I was dumb to go back to the same artist, and I think she was right. Last appointment, I was told Id have to pay a rebooking fee because I couldnt drop another $150+ on getting a doctors note saying I was sick, even though I was told before the 48 hour period that the artist working on my tattoo wasnt in and they couldnt reschedule without him, and that it would be fine to reschedule once he was back in. Guy didnt listen to my placement idea at all and completely messed up the basic instructions I told him I wanted, then made me feel like I had to get the design hed just traced over from existing images because hed spent time drawing it. Slowest worker ever, and I didnt see him wash his hands after going out for a smoke (maybe thats why it got infected twice? Who knows. Im no doctor). He also talked poorly of other artists in the area that Im pretty friendly with, which was uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as having dude call me baby and honey and sweetie the whole time as he talked about his open, poly relationship. Overall, I regret not having gone to someone else initially, but I already have someone willing to finish the piece and go over the scarred areas so its not so obvious that my leg got mangled at this studio.

Hey, I went to Mythical Markings this January and it was fantastic! I waiting for about 2 years after my 18th birthday to get a tattoo because I couldn’t decide on a place to go. One of my friends got their tattoo done at Mythical Markings by Jamie and they loved it. Jamie was my tattoo artist and he was amazing! He was very attentive and friendly! It was a pretty big tattoo and since it was my first tattoo ever, I was really nervous. The day of my tattoo, Jamie looked at the tattoo outline sketch with me to make sure I liked it and we went over sizes, etc. It felt like he wanted to make the tattoo look as perfect as I did and that put me at ease right away. He took his time with the tattoo, because he wanted to really look great! I myself loved that because I was really scared of getting someone who didn’t care and just wanted to get done and get my money. My tattoo looks amazing and healed very nicely! I am 100% going to Jamie at Mythical Markings for other tattoos again and I suggest you all do too!!

I got my inner arm done by Waldo and I could not be happier! Easily my most badass piece! Waldo was very easy to work with and very professional. The studio itself has a very nice staff and it is a very clean work environment. If you want black and gray realism, Waldo is your guy as shown in my picture below. He and the rest of the crew at Mythical Markings are truly masters of their craft! Highly recommend!

I spent my day with @stjamie13_tattoos getting an original design. He created is combination of a mandela/dreamcatcher to celebrate my grandchildren. The line work, dot work and shading is amazing! This was my first time going to Mythical Markings and I have to say from the time I walked in till the time I left I had the BEST experience! Everyone that works there are awesome and truly friendly! Chris, my tattoo artist is amazing!!! He is extremely nice, exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, has the greatest sense of humor and is professional. He made my vision come true and I am madly in love with my tattoo. I am forever thankful. I also have to add that I never laughed as much as I did in a very long time, Chris is hilarious! My experience with Mythical Markings has been great. I am a bit of an overthinker and so I am always concerned when I bring an idea to a tattoo artist. I brought my idea to Dale during my consultation and he took notes and photos diligently documenting all the details I was explaining. He drafted exactly what I had in my head and I was promptly scheduled for two sessions. He was quite booked out but that is what I needed because I have a super crazy job. The time I scheduled was approximately two-three months out. Dale made me feel comfortable and offered breaks frequently throughout my 4 hour sessions. The entire shop is hospital clean and yet creates an environment that offers warmth. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can book with confidence here with no fear of judgement. They have very talented artists that offer many styles of art. I have no doubt that whatever idea is brought to the table they would execute flawlessly.

I got my second peiricing on my ear! I had a great experience. It was clean, and Jacki who had done mine and my sisters peiricings did amazing and she was so kind!

Went here to get my first tattoo and had the worst experience. My artist Krissy was 30 minutes late to my appointment (that I put a 50$ deposit down for) and then as soon as she walked in asked if someone else could do my tattoo instead because she had another client coming in and she needed to finish that stencil and guilted me into agreeing. Then when I told the new guy what I wanted (a small peace sign on my shoulder) he looked at me and said he didnt do small tattoos and then had the shop owner come over to help him argue with me! This is over a tattoo I had already agreed on the size of with the original artist and put a deposit down for. After finally getting them to let me get my small and SIMPLE tattoo, I had to wait so long for them to get set up and have me tattooed. What I was told would take 15 minutes took almost 2 and a half hours... Terrible experience

Chris did this several weeks ago. I went into the shop with one idea and Chris drew something up for me. He quoted me a very reasonable price, so I set up an appointment. After sitting on the design, I wasnt sure I wanted to get it. Loved the design, but not feeling the concept I came up with. Contacted them and Chris was super easy to work with. He was cool enough to sit and design a new piece. The studio is super clean and Chris was very personable. Thanks! (And this was really affordable, significantly cheaper than the original quote).

Jacki did amazing with our 4 year old who was ready to get her ears pierced. They even gave her a certificate for her first piercing. A great experience!

Mystical Markings is the best in Knoxville. All the staff are very friendly, laid back atmosphere and their artist are top notch. These are my wife and I tattoo all done by Chris. These are all very personal tattoos to us especially the memorial tattoo when we lost one of our puppies. He took great care in understanding what kind of tattoo(s) we wanted each time and they turned out amazing.

Wil was my tattoo artist and this was my first tattoo and he made experience very enjoyable. He kept making jokes and overall keeping my mood up even when I was nervous or during the hard parts of the tattoo. I definitely recommend wil %110.

To start off, Ive waited this long to leave a review due to anxiety and other reviews being called out for waiting so long. I had felt wishy washy for weeks after my appointment, so I wasnt going to worry about leaving a review within a time frame. I have nothing against the people working here. Theyre talented and hardworking. This was just me and my friends experiences. It seemed that there was a misunderstanding regarding pricing for me. Id asked for a specific quote of the maximum cost, and ended up being charged more due to the deposit not being taken account for during the discussion. Maybe I should have specifically said including deposit, but since it was my first tat I assumed thats what maximum meant. As much as I enjoyed my artists enthusiasm for his work, the rushing through the consultation and the pressing to add detail made me feel a bit pressured. I really wasnt comfortable with the offer to add in freehand background ink to the piece once my tattoo was finished, as I had no idea how much it would cost or how long it would take (it was my first tattoo and I was shaking by hour 3)Edit: turns out I was unintentionally overcharged and just recieved my deposit back. Im glad they were communicative with me and wanting to fix the issue.Moreover, I understand that these issues could have been avoided by myself being extra extra clear and stern about what I wanted, but I still felt it right to post my experience so that others like me will know what they need to do and say if they plan on coming here for their tattoo.Most of the actual reason for my review is due to a friend of mine, who had to cancel his appointment due to his artist, Andrew, being extremely unresponsive. He felt very rushed through the consultation and felt as though the deposit was almost shoved at him like he only had a few minutes. He wasnt quoted a price, but discussed size and time he wanted. He was very taken aback when he saw the 6 hour block for his appointment, as extra time and a general time quote wasnt discussed with him. He tried to voice his concerns several times and ask for the detail to be toned down, or for a quote of time/price, only for most of his messages to be left on read for several weeks. He rescheduled his appointment due to his nervousness about the lack of communication, to which the artist only responded saying the reschedule was fine and not addressing any of the previous messages he had sent prior. He ended up cancelling and losing his deposit due to the appointment date getting closer and still having no information or communication. I understand that tat artists xan get very busy, and can have emergencies outside of work, but to leave a client whos already paid his deposit in the dark for that long isnt professional. If it were just my experience, maybe my review would have been higher, but the complete lack of communication made my friend afraid that his first tattoo wouldnt be a good experience. He didnt recieve his tattoo, but he did leave a deposit and tried to work with the studio, so I very much consider that as him being a customer. However, because he didnt recieve a service, I put our experiences on one review.EDIT: I realize I forgot to name the artist for my friend. My apoligies, Ive fixed that. Also, I wanted to clarify that he was definitely friends with his artist on Instagram. We both were, and I got pretty consistent replies while he never got replies.

Amazing company! Called and asked if they could do a walk in and the let me come in the following morning, Jamie sized my tattoo up exactly how I wanted it and where I wanted it, he even fulfilled a last minute request to get part of it colored in, Jamie done an awesome job of making sure I was fine and everything went to plan, he even got done sooner than expected and it still turned out amazing, and the pricing is really good too, I will definitely be using them again in the future

Grace is my go-to girl for piercings. She has done well oveer 4-5 for me. from the very first appointment, she has always made me feel comfortable and educates me. Educates me on piercings, which jewelry is best for each piercing, sanitation, and very thorough with the aftercare. I could go on and on about how much I love her! If you are looking for a great piercer, Grace is your girl!!

Got my eyebrow re-pierced by Grace (A.K.A Stabbings By Grace) a bit over a week ago after it was pierced too shallow by another place. She was amazing - she told me everything she was going to do before she did it and continuously checked on me to see how I was doing throughout the whole process. The results were exactly what I wanted and she made sure I could contact her if I had any trouble healing it. Ill be back ;)

Jacki done a daith piercing for my girlfriend and she was amazing. Jacki was so nice and polite,she explained everything that she was doing and ask if she had any questions or concerns and as she done the piercing she told her what she was doing and what was happening next. From the time we walked in until we walked out was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend mythical markings tattoo to anyone that is anywhere in the area. 5 stars isnt enough to give them but its all Google lets you give. We drove a little over 300 miles to visit mythical markings and will do the trip again.

I got a nose piercing from Grace yesterday and I was very pleased! I walked in without an appointment and was helped right away even though she was doing all of the piercing and reception duties alone. She was super friendly, took the time to explain the process and what I could expect and made sure I was comfortable. She also took the time to explain aftercare and the healing process. The whole thing was over very quickly and I love my piercing!

I have been searching for a good shop since moving to Knoxville and man have I found the one! Chris Allman was the artist that I dealt with and he is an awesome dude and a perfectionist when it comes to blasting work out. The staff who ran the counter were very informative and helpful with any questions I had. I will definitely be getting my work done with Chris from now on! Awesome job yall

Andrew has been doing my tattoo’s for the past year. He is always professional, friendly, and open about the whole process! He is light handed, I have never had to tap out of a session before. I went in for a consultation with Dale for my second tattoo. With how minimalist my desired design was, he was able to fit me in same day. The experience was magnificent, and I felt very relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. He was very detailed oriented and was very professional yet personable. Ive been here a couple times now and have had an awesome experience both times. The staff is friendly and takes the time to make sure you know what youre getting and what to expect. Andrew did my lotus flower with watercolor. I explained to him what I wanted and he made it happen. He has such a light touch that the pain was minimal. When I went back a second time to complete my tattoo, I got my cartilage pierced by Jackie. She noticed that the hoop was too small, had me confirm it, and changed it out to a bigger size for me. She was so kind and I like that she wanted to make sure I wouldnt be in pain as it heals because of having the wrong size. Jackie also changed out my nose piercing to the flat back I I bought from them at just the cost of the jewelry! I definitely recommend them and will be back for many more tattoos!

A few friends and I went today to get lobe piercings and as soon as we walked in we felt right at home. The atmosphere there is very laid back, but they’re super professional and kind. Grace pierced my second and thirds today and oh my goodness she is fantastic. Her personality is great, made me feel so so so comfortable and welcomed, and just did a great job all together. Absolutely amazing! The shop was very clean, and had just an overall nice appearance. I previously had my nose pierced by dale a few years back. My husband and I just had tattoos done by Christian. He was very clean and properly sanitized before, during, and after. Also the tattoos are beyond great and he was a very nice and easy person to talk to. I went in for a daith piercing for my migraines. I was greeted when I walked in the door. I told them what I wanted, and they told me they would be with me shortly. I was greeted by Jacki, and she confirmed what I was getting. She knew I was nervous, and she walked me through the whole process. She was very professional. Ashley was my tattoo artist on my thigh piece. She is absolutely phenomenal. She made me feel so comfortable and was accommodating for my sessions afterwards. Jackie pierced my nose and she was very gentle and Grace held my hand because I was nervous. Everyone that works there is amazing and they all made me feel welcome. I love mythical markings and it is where I will get all future piercings and tattoos.

Had a bad experience at another shop so I googled some close by for jewelry and this one popped up. A lady answered and I ask about body jewelry. 2 barbells to be exact. Asked CLEARLY for the total price for both due to my last experience at the other shop and she advised around $25-$30 I think. Got to the shop and she was a brunette I believe. Told her I was the one who called and she got the jewelry. Then advised it was going to be $50 or $60. It was earlier this month so I forgot the total. I asked why she advised something different on the phone. She said it was per piece. Said never mind and left. Apparently none of these shops in Knoxville understand what “total price” means. They just want to rip people off. No thanks.

I just got my tattoo from Isaac yesterday. Could not wait to get to work to show it off. Every one who saw it was, just as I was, completely blown away. If there is such a thing as the perfect tattoo, I have it. Already making plans to go get more. The office staff was also very friendly and professional. It is just a great all around atmosphere. I have come here to get a tattoo and some piercings. Both times were a great experience. The people were very friendly and professional. Today I went and got a tattoo from Andrew. He was very professional and did an amazing job. I have tried other parlors and they just simply aren’t as good as Mythical Markings.

I went in today to get my ears pierced and had an amazing experience! Grace was very professional and ensured that both holes were even. Although I didn’t catch everyone’s name, the people I encountered were also professional and personable. We had fun talking while waiting for the jewelry to be sanitized and I never felt rushed out the door after we were done.The piercing itself was quick and pain was minimal. She made sure to go over all after care instructions with me and answered any questions before I left. I will definitely be going back for my next piercing soon and looking forward to booking some ink time too!

I had rook and conch piercings done by Jackie that were precisely placed and have healed perfectly. The environment was immaculately clean and the experience was worlds beyond my last experience with another Knoxville tat shop. She didnt treat me like a little girl who couldnt handle pain (unlike the other place). She gave customer centered, experience-based advice on these and future piercings which was honest and put my wellbeing above a sale. She truly cares about her clients! I only wish I had gone to MMTS & Jackie for my previous piercings first.

My husband (75) and I (63) went here to get our first tattoos. Chris Allman could not have made it any easier and is one of the kindest people you will meet. Incredibly clean and great tattoo studio! Dale and his entire staff are professional and very talented! Spent 2 session about 4 hours each so far with Dale and his work is absolutely amazing! I’m give this place a bad review due to Krissy ( Miss Ink) screwing people over. Having someone who supposed to trade tattoos for things and then don’t do the tattoo over a year being put off. Then borrow money and suppose to do a tattoo still months later trying to get her to do them. Decided to ask for the money since she keeps pushing doing the tattoos off and refuses to pay and refuses to do the tattoos. Definitely not good having someone screwing over and stealing from clients. When agreements aren’t paid back it’s stealing.

This is the first time ever writing a review. I can’t believe that this business has such a good rating after my experience. First of all, they get you from the get go- if you don’t have cash on you then they have a ATM that charges WAY more than others. Second, if you use their debit machine they charge you a of 35% or maybe it was 13% - it was a month ago so not quite sure. But, I know it was was a crazy fee - as you can assume that this would be quite a tax on you since tattoos are not cheap. Thirdly, I sat in a hard plastic chair with a homemade cushion made out of an egg crate with tape all around it. No telling how many germs were present. So, after sitting in the chair for 5 hours it took a toll on my neck and back. I don’t understand why I had to sit in a chair like that- when everyone else was sitting in a normal tattoo chair?? Today I called mythical markings to let them know I wasn’t going to return and that I would like to get my $200 back- which is double what most places charge. After speaking with the “owners” I realized what kind of people they really were. They told me that I wouldn’t get my $200 back after the 2nd session. I’ve contacted my lawyer and the better business bureau and going to let the health inspectors know about my experience sitting on homemade cushion with blood borne pathogens on it- as well as the artist coughing on me and etc… all I wanted was my money back and they were to money hungry to give it back. BTW, beware of the owners wife with the pumpkin tattoo on her arm- she had a huge part of my terrible experience. So, here we go and let’s see what they have to say?! And here’s to the owners— my lawyer would like a copy of what I signed to not get my money back.

I’ve wanted a “stacked” nose piercing for forever, and therefore had imagined it many ways but none of which I was really sure about. Jackie took the time to show me before piercing and it turned out better than I ever imagined in all my years. She was quick, efficient, diligent, and caring. I am beyond elated with my piercings and her work and customer service!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My 4 almost 5 yr old daughter has begged for the last few years to have her ears pierced. I finally wanted to let her get them done for her upcoming birthday. I looked around at multiple places and had heard the reviews about Jaki at Mythical Markings. Her reviews made me feel confident in bringing my daughter there. I am so glad I did, because Jacki did NOT disappoint!!!. I ended up getting my nose pierced the same day and then she was so patient with my daughter. She ended up being pretty nervous once we got there. Jaki spent around an hour talking very calm to her and being so gentle and telling her exactly what she was doing and what the process was. Went to another shop to have a cover up done and they couldnt help me. Meet with Dale and we came up with an incredible cover up design. He is a master at his craft. I have already recieved a second tattoo from him as well. These guys are the real thing. Great at what they do!

The most striking feature that you find when you first walk in is the intimate atmosphere. These artists are essentially family members and almost treat you that way too. I received excellent service from the start and got to speak with Chris, Dale and Teejei about my tattoo, which was my first no less. Chris ended up having some excellent ideas and was super enthusiastic to be able to work with me and ended up working with me to take a drawing I brought in and turn it into an amazing piece of art. The facility is extremely clean and the atmosphere stays calm and familial as they work on you. Chris was also extremely compassionate, making sure that I didnt feel uncomfortable at all and even explaining some of the process to me! I highly recommend Mythical Markings to people old and new to the world of body ink, and I absolutely love my new tattoo!

Outstanding, Dale is the only artist that will ever put ink on me. He is professional and shop is clean and sanitary conditions are very strict.I have had tatts done by Dale and have not needed one touch up yet. Rude and ignorant, can’t speak on the rest of the shop but the girl with the fake red hair refuses to sell people tattoo ink and spreads misinformation about tattoo laws. Maybe someone should do a little more research before being so condescending and arrogant. UPDATE: Nobody ever said anything about tattooing friends, I can understand trying to cover your tracks and sounding more approachable and professional now but it is simply to late. You must be confused, the only thing that was mentioned was practicing on fake skin and working under two mentors. So not only are you rude and condescending but also a liar. There will be no need to ever visit your little shop or refer anybody to this place of business.

I am horrible with names, but I got my daith pierced here today and the experience was AMAZING. So incredibly professional, he talked me through each step and told me what he was doing. Also gave very detailed follow up care. I had 7 piercings total before this and this was by far the best experience Ive ever had! Brad did one of my tattoos and I absolutely love it, though Chris has stolen my heart. when I went back to them for my next tattoos Chris was at the counter. I needed to have my nose ring looked at because it was causing pain and he told me exactly how to clear it up and following his instructions it was great within two days! I went back to him for my next tattoos and he did a fantastic job with my hand drawn work even improving one that i had designed so it fit my foot better.All in all i love this staff and the shop and I will ONLY get my tattoos here.

Ive been looking for a piercing studio to go to in Knoxville for a while after being spoiled by going to an APP-certified piercer for so long, but I was not satisfied with the piercing I received. The environment and service were fine enough, and they were kind enough to allow for me to be pierced with a labret stud instead of the lobe jewelry with butterfly clips.My biggest concerns are in regards to their aftercare since many of the recommended aftercare directly contradicted what I had learned from my previous experiences going to an actual APP certified piercer for most of my prior piercings. Their aftercare recommendations are listed on their website, so I guess thats on me for not checking before going.Aside from care recommendations, my biggest issue was in regards to placement and angle of the piercing. I had my third lobes done, and the process itself was great, but there mustve been some miscommunication as to where on the dot the piercing was to be done after I had okay-ed the placement. It ended up far too close to my second lobes for me to wear the jewelry I was wanting to (I did communicate to them these plans) once it healed. Of the more than 10 piercings Ive had prior, this was the first that Ive just immediately taken out once I got home to let it heal up so I could try again. I did communicate this discontent with the owner, but all that could be offered was a discount towards future piercings.I was pierced by the apprentice, Grace, who did an amazing job and was very kind. While I was ultimately not satisfied with my piercing, its mostly in regards to the shop as a whole, which is out of your control.

Got my first tattoo at Mythical Markings. Chris was super helpful with fine tuning the design and choosing an awesome color combination. He made the process fun and easy. The after care process was clearly explained and Chris gave me his cell and told me to text with any after care questions or concerns. A+ great experience!

I went a little while back to get my tragus pierced. They were very nice and friendly there, and it was a pleasant experience until it came to healing. She pierced my tragus with a hoop, which is not optimal for healing, as I later learned (the hoop was also impossible to remove, and I did have to use two pairs of pliers to bend it out of place). This was my first cartilage piercing, so I did not know any better to ask for a stud. It has been months, and I still have a purple bump around the piercing. My piercer also told me to wash with soap and water, and did not tell me about using saline, which is universally a great method. I had gone to another piercer a couple months after the first tragus, and the newer tragus piercing has already gone all the way down in swelling. The bump is not the only problem I have experienced. The piercing I got here is very far back into my ear, angled to the point where neither my friends, nor I can reach to put in any new jewelry. Even pieces that go in through the front do not work because I cannot reach far enough back to twist the back on. I have not had this problem with my newer tragus. Overall Im disappointed because I am not able to change out my jewelry even with outside help. I will probably have to get it re-pierced closer to the front. I do not mean for this review to be hurtful or cruel, hopefully it can be used as a learning experience.

Dale is awesome, he did a custom piece of artwork for me and it was far better than I imagined. He did a great job and I definitely recommend his shop. I had a full back piece that took several sittings so i spent quite a bit of time with Dale and he was always courteous and professional. I came in hoping to get a bad tattoo touched up so it might be a little better, but he talked me into a full cover-up and I cant thank him enough, its beyond perfect. A good artist knows what you want better than you do so just let them work and if they say you need to think about it some more then trust them. Christian is also doing really cool stuff there, he has done some work for me as well and I am quite pleased with his. I wont be using anyone else, and highly recommend them.

I have over 30 tattoos. All of them except 2 have been done by Dale Johnson. He is by far the best artest I know and lucky enough to have work done by. I recommend this business to everyone almost everyday. I have been going to Mythical Markings since they were further up in Knoxville past papermill and they have only become better. I promise you you get what you pay for. You want the 20 dollar trash tattoo then go somewhere else but nothing but quality comes from this studio. You will not be disappointed. And another positive note is I dont have hepatitis, so thats great!!! Clean and professional business for sure.

I have been getting tattooed by Dale Johnson for over 12 years. Every time I go to the shop its a great experience. Its clean, organized and the art is incredible. Not sure why I’m just now getting to writing a review- oh well. I got a tattoo around last December. It was a quote going around my wrist, like a bracelet. The artist Isaac did it, couldn’t be happier with the result, to this day. Place is very clean, very down to earth about everything going on, and not too expensive either. I won’t bash names, but another shop straight up said my tattoo idea couldn’t be done, after consulting with Mythical, they help me better my idea into a masterpiece. Highly recommend this awesome spot.

Having a crazy work schedule, its really hard for me to make appointments, so i called to inquire about getting help with my gauge upgrade and was able to get in within the hour. The ladies up front did not rush me, answered all of my questions, and were obviously knowledgeable about my piercing issue. Julie did my gauge increase, was awesome, made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole process. not experiencing too mush pain, ect. Julie properly sanitized everything including my ear jewelry. All of the Covid-19 protocols were followed to a T. Extremely clean place (which says a lot), and I am thinking about a future tattoo, and will definitely come back for more information on the tattoo Im interested in. Thanks!

In my line of work ... we research everything and then research it some more! While researching Tattoo Artists in the South East I found quite a few talented and highly reviewed Tattoo Artists and a lot of Tattoo Artists with negative reviews. While having negative reviews doesnt really mean your not a talented artist but somewhere down the road somebody was not happy with your work or service! In all honesty in this day and time its hard to find someone or a business that doesnt have some negative reviews because people these days look for stuff to complain about! My research kept leading me back to Dale at Mythical Markings because of his high reviews and most of all talent! I decided to give Dale a chance and I could not have been more pleased with him and his work! I have a lot of Tattoos too by different highly talented Artists and I can honestly say Dale is the Best! Loads of images to look through if your unsure what you want and they were happy to answer all our questions...Dale took time to talk to my mom about having her brows done...would recommend without hesitation!!

I had to go here after a botched piercing job at a different store. Not only was the staff here highly professional and friendly; they did their absolute best to make sure that my piercings were saved, that I wasn’t in pain, and also only charged me for the piercing jewelry. I really can’t recommend this place enough, I have never had a bad experience here and the staff is incredibly accommodating.

I went to mythical markings to get a daith piercing. the piercer there, jacki, pierced my daith incorrectly and went way too deep to even get any jewelry in. after already piercing me was when she decided to mention that i didn’t have the correct anatomy for the piercing, which was not true. if i really did not have the anatomy, why would she try to pierce me at all? i went to a different piercer a month later and they pierced my daith without a single issue and could see exactly where jacki had pierced me too deep. a good piercer should to be able to admit to a mistake, not make up excuses and blame the customer.

Ive had 4 session with Isaac so far. Every session has started on time, and he has worked every minute of the time I pay for. His work is flawless, and his original designs are very creative. The shop it self is extremely clean with ample parking, with a great support staff. If you are thinking about any kind of body art, you cant go wrong here.

I had Dale do an arm piece on me, and I have never had a more professional, ethical and nice customer service experience. On top of that, his artwork and talent in tattoos is unbelievable!! Went there for my ear piercings. I got my conch and my rook done. IT HURT SO BAD! Lol but it was great. Over in a jiff. Their tattoos are pricey BUT when I compare the art to other places it can’t be compared. Their art is top notch and plan to go there for my sleeve when my budget allows!

Isaac from Mythical Markings was a great experience. Not only was he clean and hygienic with his tools, space and canvas but he was knowledgeable, professional, exetremly friendly, and listened to what I was asking for while giving needed information. Isaac is an amazing artist with a lot of talent in his use of colors, shading, and lines which he can produce not only realistic art as well as many other types. I would definitely and plan to go back to see Isaac. Now, everyone at Mythical Markings strive to give their customers the best experience during their time there and all of the artists are amazing with the work they do. I called shortly after the shop opened and ask about getting my 1st tattoo done. The lady on the phone took down my idea, name, and number and told me she would have the artist give me a call when she came in. I cant say enough good things about Teejei, she took my idea over the phone, and had it sketched up when I came in. She made a few quick minor adjustments, but was spot on with my idea. I, of course was nervous to begin with, and she made me feel very comfortable. Teejei, did an amazing job on my tattoo, and made the experience a great one! The facility, front desk, and workers were all great and super friendly! I highly, highly recommend them if you are in the market for a tattoo! Thanks, Teejei! You rocked it!

Me and my girlfriend came in to get tattoos and we had been given a price we have been taking care of our tattoos when I began to notice how the designs aren’t straight and some of the lines are bled in several places along with mising color in several patches to the point its noticable even in the healing process. I was very disappointed in this. While I understand I didn’t pay a lot of money for them it’s still upsetting for a tattoo we were so excited to get for them to end up like this.

I had piercing done here .the ball fall off today .my finace to see that I can get the ball replace .$5 service charge plus jewelry. The shop I usually go to nc not charge a service fee. If the ball fall the off the will replace it. And of y bring youre own jewelry to youre piercing. They dont charge for that either .
