I’ve had several piercings here as well as brought my son and nieces for piercings. Between us we’ve had helix, tragus, nostril, and lobes. Each was great. They also helped me when a piercing I’d had done elsewhere that wasn’t healing well. They are the best, I will not go anywhere else. They are experts and passionate about good piercing practices. They are also very nice and have excellent customer service.

I decided to give my second earlobe piercing a second chance after getting it pierced at Claire’s when I was a teenager. It never healed and I gave up on it. I recently got an itch to get it redone by a professional piercer. Thankfully, I found twisted images! Pat was amazing. He was super informative and could tell where the scar tissue was from my previous piercings. He was meticulous and pierced them in the perfect spot. 3 months later and I’ve had 0 problems! I’m now ready to get my 3rd earlobe piercing done. Highly recommend this place!

Went to Amy today for a nostril piercing and it was FANTASTIC! The shop is clean, staff is incredibly knowledgeable. I felt safe. Looking forward to visiting again.

I went in to have my lip re pierced after having it out for a few years. I really wanted specific jewelry, but with this type of piercing it gets tricky.Pat was amazing and took his time to make sure I was comfortable. I was even able to get exactly what I wanted safely lol. From now on I am never going anywhere else.I will be back to get my rings switched out to posts.

I was visiting from out of town and had my nostril pierced here and Pat did a great job with the piercing. I had some trouble with my jewelry a couple months later. I emailed the shop and Tori and Amy were incredibly responsive and worked with me to get everything taken care of. I got an Ashley pericing with pat. I’ll never go anywhere else but to him! Gonna be honest I’m a whimp, he made things so smooth :) I’llBe back in a couple days to get my Medusa piercing with him! They also use very good quality jewelry. I’ve been to a few spots in Louisville and this one is by far the most professional one, I love them. Highly recommended!!

I got my nostril pierced today with Amy, it was an amazing experience! When I walked in, I instantly noticed how clean and beautiful the set up was! They were informative, helpful, and very kind. This was my second piercing from here (and my first from Pat). My first piercing went incredible and Id never think of going anywhere else. It is the cleanest, friendliest, most professional experience one could ever ask for. This time, I went in to get a helix piercing, but Pat told me a lot of care information I didnt know and wasnt prepared for so I ended up leaving with a second lobe piercing (which looks super cute). I really admire how thorough and caring Pat was and the shops incredible follow-up. My piercing (only two weeks out) has healed so well! I am excited to get my helix pierced there some time this year now that Im prepared for the care!

I would give them a million stars if I could. I took my 7 year old in to get her ears pierced today and Amy and Pat were so wonderful with her. They talked to her and let her make her own decisions. There was no pressure on my daughter to go through with it. I can’t thank them enough for being so patient and kind. I’m so glad her first ear piercing experience was a good one and she’s so proud!

Didnt even get pierced here, but Amy graciously helped diagnose the issue with my irritated piercing at no cost. I admired septum piercings for a long time. Once I decided to do the thing, I already knew Twisted was the only shop I’d trust based on their stellar reputation. Amy welcomed me into their beautiful store, and Pat, my piercer, had a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout the process. I got my lobes pierced here with Amy, I could not sing her praises higher! The whole experience was incredibly pleasant, she was very easy to talk to and made sure I had a full understanding of the process. She talked me through everything, and it was practically painless. Amy is not only talented at what she does, but answers all questions so throughly that you feel at ease during the appointment. I have random metal allergies, and she always helps me pick out the best jewelry. The last piercing I got, I had been warned by friends it hurt so much, but because of how brilliant and amazing Amy is, she made it so much more painless than it could have been. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Twisted Images. My daughter, 8, wanted to get her ears pierced. They walked her through the entire experience, practiced breathing techniques with her, showed her the equipment being used. Her favorite part was picking put her earrings! They were so wonderful and patient and kind to my daughter. She was very anxious, but didnt shed one tear or have and breakdowns at all. She had an amazing experience and loves her ear piercings! I’ve gotten my nose and ears pierced here those services being about about two years apart. In both experiences I’ve had the best time. The staff are the kindest people I’ve ever met. The place is so clean and well run. The staff is informative, patient and love what they do! I can’t recommend this place enough. About six months after my nose piercing I had an issue and a staff member waited after hours for me to drive in and help me replace my piercing so it wouldn’t close up over night! Don’t go anywhere else, this is the best place!

They dont allow grace period on some of the piercings, which is completely unfair since they state they dont on the website. And their located in bardstown, they could stand to be more understanding

I’ve had the pleasure of being pierced several times by both Amy and Pat. Each time the piercing has ended up as close to perfect as humanly possible. Everyone that works there is down to earth, funny, and they’re great people. They make you feel welcome, and waiting a few moments after arriving early is totally worth it 😉 as long as I live in Louisville, I won’t go anywhere else for a piercing.

Especially Amy, shes my go-to because shes so incredibly informative and straightforward, but also keeps the mood light and really knows what shes doing. The shop always looks great, the art is really rad and the shop itself is kept really clean and organized. Literally just love everything about this place.

Only place Ill get piercings ever again. Please everyone needs to forget about going to Claires and go to an actual piercing parlor. Its worth it. Everyone was so kind and patient with me. Exceptionally professional and clean, explaining everything step by step and provided materials for aftercare. They also work well with kids. There were two young girls with their parents there getting their first piercings for the first time and the staff was so sweet and even had stuffed animals provided to help comfort them. Probably going to be going back for more here in a few weeks. Cannot recommend more.

Pat was my piercer. Got my first piercing ever here (both earlobes, 16g). Pat explained everything very well and made me feel very comfortable. Everyone there was super chill and I felt very welcomed. Pat ran everything through a sterilization test and showed me the results. I will definitely be recommending Twisted Images if anyone asks me where to get a piercing, especially if its their first time. Couldnt have had a better experience.

I got 2 piercings in one sitting, it was quick, easy and Amy was very gentle! Amy made me feel right at home. I also could tell she had experience and enjoyed what she does. The receptionist was also very welcoming and made sure I was taken care of. I work in customer relations so this was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely awesome. They pierced both of my girls ears. They kept the girls aware of everything and focused on their autonomy, consent, and comfort. They did tandem piercing so both ears were done at once. They gave a really good rundown of care and (this may be my favorite part) they directed all of this information to the little ones. It was a great experience. I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking to have a piercing done or an ear piercing for a child.

Amy and Pat are fantastic! I first got piercings from Amy over 11 years ago and recently went back for more. She is still just as wonderful. I had to have surgery this spring and Pat helped me change out my jewelry to plastic retainers in preparation (and then back after the surgery). They are so knowledgeable, kind, and professional! I am booked for another piercing in 2 weeks. I wont go anywhere else!

I recently got my ears pierced by Amy. She was beyond professional and made the whole process go extremely smoothly. Two weeks later I lost the front of the piercing while sleeping. I contacted Amy and she got me in immediately (the shop was even closed for the holidays), replaced the missing front, and didn’t charge me. I am blown away by the customer service and will recommend Twisted (and Amy) to anyone I know wanting a piercing. They are clean, thorough, and enjoyable to work with.

Great experience! I came in to get my septum pierced and everything went smooth from the jump. She showed me sterile supplies so I knew everything was cleaned, made sure everything was comfortable, and even did breathing with me before the actual piercing. Not to mention my septum is naturally not straight so when the piercing was a little crooked she offered immediately to redo it because SHE actually cared about it. Not painful at all, actually one of the least painful piercings I’ve had, surprisingly. Very kind, comfortable, and professional staff! I will be back for sure.

The piercer, Pat. Was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and had a clean work area. I was getting me nose, “re-pierced”. So he could’ve easily ripped me off. Instead, he told me that we just had to, find the hole for the piercing again. He only charged me half price since he didn’t have to, re-pierce the holes again. I would recommend their service over every other shop in the city.

The best piercing/tattoo place in Louisville BY FAR!!!! The establishment is clean and the people are amazing! They are super transparent- making sure you are aware of each step involved in your tattoo/piercing. I really appreciated how they explained what they were doing/why they were doing it. I always go to amy for all of my piercings. she has done every single one except for my earlobes. i have never had a problem with healing after piercings. when i recommend my friends, clients, and family members i tell them she’s pricey but with how professional, clean, and calming amy is it makes it 110% worth it. she always gives me cool aunt vibes…she’s the best in town!!!!!

So sad. I went to Twisted Images to have 5 piercings from Pat. I had three helix, a conch, and a tragus. I even recommended him to my sister in law for a nose piercing. The price is high but I thought the quality was worth it. Well, I’ve been having an issue with my conch piercing and was headed Pat’s way to have it looked at. Due to traffic I called to let him know I would be 10 minutes late, 15 tops. They basically said to reschedule. I live 30-45 minutes away in Crestwood, so I was bummed. I called to speak with Pat about this and he basically said to reschedule and hung up. Super sad about the money I’ve spent here to be met with such sad customer service.

I usually go to Tattoo Charlies because they are Very sanitary. With the earrings, they sanitize the earrings and my ear before placing jewelry back in it. Buuuut, I lost an earring and needed a replacement before my hole closed up and had to go somewhere who was open, which was this place Twisted Images.I didnt like that they didnt clean my ear first before placing a post back in it. Sanitation and cleanliness are my #1. After I left I wiped my ear and jewelry with an alcohol wipe.

I had been planning a cascade on my ear for awhile and researching places to go. Twisted images gets amazing reviews for a reason! Bunny has been working with me. She does a beautiful job and there is next to no pain at all. My piercings have healed beautifully and the staff is all really nice and super patient. They explain the healing and care process really well. They even call to make sure you are doing well and happy! I will definitely be back for more piercings.

Wow, Im thoroughly impressed. I worked with Twisted Rodney to get a forearm tattoo. I sent him my idea with reference examples and he quickly sketched up a personalized design. I had a few tweaks and he worked with me to get the look I wanted.I go in for my appointment, the place is clean and everyone is friendly. It ended up being a 4 hour appointment and thankfully Rodney is a great conversationalist which greatly took my mind off the pain. Probably the most painless tattoo Ive gotten.Talented people who love what they do. I highly recommend this place.

Got my nose pierced by Pat today and OMG Im in love with it!! It was a super affordable job, even after a $20 tip it was only $80 something dollars and that also includes jewelry!! I cant wait to get my first tattoo done here. They also said trans rights and asked for my pronouns on the paperwork! 😱 Absolutely recommend. 👍🏽

Amy pierced my Septum today and it was a really awesome experience. Shes really good at what she does and it was relatively painless. They use new needles for every piercing and the facility is clean. They also have an emergency email address that you can use to contact them if you think a tattoo/piercing is getting infected. Its very apparent that they stand behind their work and they care about their clients. I couldnt have gone to a better place for my first face piercing. Ill definitely be getting future work done there!

Weve been twice. The experience was great. They were friendly but professional. There was no infection unlike another piercing place weve used. My daughters are happy with their experience.

Amy is so amazing at what she does & so easy to talk to. Getting undressed in front of anyone especially someone you don’t really know is always a bit uncomfortable 🤣 but before i even knew it I was stripped down to barebones feeling like we’ve been friends for ages.I came to her today with a “thought” about a potential metal allergy and how I could get around it without losing my piercings. This was my hood piercing which I do NOT want to lose!!she and I had a meeting of the minds & came up with some awesome ideas and theories about what could have been going on with my body.She then came up with a plan which she executed seamlessly & with NO discomfort. She even changed lot my barbell free of charge. Until we found the perfect size & then she’s going toCustomize and special order 14k gold barbell for me to work around my metal allergy!!As a small business owner myself it was amazing to be in someone’s presence and you can FEEL their love & passion for their craft10 out of 10 will always recommend.

Went there to purchase body jewelry. I know what size jewelry I need and dont need help inserting it. A note on their front door says you dont need to make a appointment if you dont need help with your jewelry purchase. Knocked on the door and the lady wouldnt let me inside. She said I needed to make an appointment. Door clearly stated otherwise. It was 5pm, she just didnt want me there. Sadly another shop had referred me to them.

They were able to slip earrings back in without having re-pierce my ears after I had my studs out for over 5 years. Then I went back a few weeks later and got my first tattoo done by Kenny. He did excellent work and the tattoo was exactly what I was hoping for. Ill be going back to Kenny for the rest of my tattoos. Excellent staff, great tattoo artists, and extremely fairly priced. For piercings and tattoos this shop is A+ all around.

Well I showed up within a half hour of close I only wanted to purchase a replacement tongue ring. The lady turned me away saying they were to close to close and there was no one available to make my transaction. It was immediately apparent she just didnt want to ring up a 15$ sale that would take two mins. I work a restaurant and have bean in retail there is never a excuse to turn a customer away before close. Or else u are infact already closed in witch case a just your hours or stop letting you employees ride the clock and lose you costumers I will never be back because of the lazy employe , when your already a hole in the wall you dont turn people away. 👍

Great experience here! I had my septum pierced at another shop but it was done too high and crooked. I decided to go to Twisted Images to get it re-done after hearing lots of good reviews. So happy I did! Despite my bad scar tissue, they did an amazing job! Its actually symmetrical now and I love it. Will be going here for all future piercings.

Great place to get a piercing!! My nose stud fell out so I had to go somewhere to get it put back in. I called and Amy told me to come in and she would look at it to see what she could do.I went in and she was able to help me out. She sterilized the stud and piercing site and proceeded to put it in. Amy was kind, helpful, patient, fun, and respectful. I will definitely be back for something else in the future.

I went in with a piercing that was swollen up from an accidental pull and they changed my jewelry out and took care of it as a walk-in! The staff is so friendly and make sure that the jewelry is fitting well, they take their time and dont try to get you in and out quickly without taking care of your need. I came here after developing an irritation bump on a rook piercing. The first piercer I went to used a hoop, which made it even more difficult to heal. I called Twisted Images and they got me in super quickly. She changed my hoop to a curved barbell, and was super gentle with it. They were all super friendly and informative, and it was such an easy process. Will definitely be coming here for piercings from now on!

Bunny was fantastic! All I did was a repierce in my lobe and she was super knowledgeable about piercing through scar tissue and offered me some options to not have to go through it. Day before my 19th birthday I went in for my first piercing other than ears, a nose stud. I had done all kinds of research to find the best place in louisville to get a facial piercing and Twisted Images was by far the best decision.Upon arriving its very difficult to find parking which would be my first small complaint, but when walking into the location its very unique and has a cool atmosphere. The next complaint would be the fact that it was super hot, it seemed as though the air conditioning was out, it was so hot.The piercing experience itself was amazing..i was INSANELY nervous and Corinne did an amazing job relaxing me and explaining everything in great detail for my family and I.My final complaint would be that they are much higher in price than the majority of other locations. 35$ for the piercing and 30$ for the jewelry. 65$ is a bit high.Otherwise the piercers are amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and very kind. It was painless and a great experience aside from the higher price and warm atmosphere. I would still highly recommend Twisted Images to anyone.

I brought my daughter to Twisted Images to get her ears pierced. She was nervous but Amy and Corrine explained everything that they were going to do in a way that my daughter could understand (shes 5). They were very kind and patient. They explained the care procedure and even called the next day to check on my daughter. This was my first time visit to Twisted Images. I had to replace the top of my monroe piercing. The building was welcoming and very clean. The price for my replacement was very reasonable. What a wonderful friendly knowledgable staff. While I was a walk in the wait time was not long they worked me in quickly. I also liked that my piercing tech Bunny showed me that my monroe top had been properly sanitized.I highly recommend this business as my over all experience was awesome!

I just got bilateral daiths done here a couple days ago with Bunny and LOVE THEM. I came with three other friends and we all had a great time. She was so professional and FUN. This place is awesome! I have gotten piercings from here, and my friends got their first tattoos here as well! Since I have had many piercings here, I can say that other places in Louisville just dont cut it anymore compared to Twisted Images. I just arrived at 12:50 for a 1:00 appointment. The sign on the store says call to get in. I called and I was chastised for arriving too early and made to wait outside. I left. It’s insulting to not be allowed inside. This was my 2nd time going there. The first time people were being allowed to wait inside. They claim it’s policy but it’s not enforced equally.

I’m a professional Tattooer, and let me tell you, Amy and her team are experienced, CLEAN, professional, and their jewelry selection is top notch. I will always send clients their way because I trust them.

Absolutely incredible service and people. Got a nostril piercing by Amy today. She and the other artists there are so kind and comforting that youll barely notice the pain. The only place Ill go to get any body mod done.

After researching piercers around town and seeing such positive reviews of Twisted Images, I made an appointment with Corinne to have my nostril pierced. Both over the phone and at the shop everyone was friendly and informative. The piercing itself was no big deal, Corinne gave me plenty of information and sent me on my way. A little over a month later I went back to Corinne to have her trim the L bar because it was uncomfortable (standard practice after a new nostril piercing). She removed the jewelry, trimmed it down, and was unable to get it back into the piercing. She got a new stud and bent/clipped it differently and then tried again. No luck. She used a taper to stretch the piercing out and then once again pushed and prodded to get the jewelry in the hole. It was quite painful. She told me the issue was that the membrane on the inside of my nose moved around more than usual, so it was very difficult to get the post all the way through. During this process we also agreed to tighten the jewelry down, because it was sitting pretty high on my nostril. For the next 48 hours it felt like someone had punched me on that side of my face, and I had a fair amount of swelling, as a result of the very difficult job getting the jewelry in the hole. It was WAY more painful than the initial piercing. For the next two months, the jewelry continually jutted out of the piercing hole and nothing I did would get it to sit flat. I developed the bump (granuloma) bc of the constant movement of the jewelry. I decided to visit a different local piercer that was recommended by a family member. This piercer was incredibly kind about my situation, and without badmouthing the work that had already been done, simply informed me that my piercing was not straight through my nostril and in fact had a curvature to it, making it very difficult to insert jewelry. He said I would likely not be able to do it on my own. I am pretty disappointed overall, because I do not have the flexibility to change jewelry easily, and so far it has required pain and bloodshed each time. I will reiterate that Corinne was very kind and the shop was clean and well run, but the piercing itself is flawed. Without being overly negative, I do want to make sure others looking for a piercer are informed.

My tattoo experiences have been largely positive, but none as welcoming as with Kenny Ward at Twisted Images. I was going to be in Louisville for work and found Kennys work in my research of area shops. I reached out a few days in advance (his Instagram had mentioned open books), letting him know I was looking to get a long-desired floral piece and provided details on color, size, placement, and even included some of his previous art for reference. Kenny was friendly and professional in his communication and even more so during the appointment. This tattoo truly felt like a collaborative effort and Kenny brought my vision to life in the most beautiful and skilled way possible. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I will be traveling back here for more work in the future.

They were wonderful with my 8 year old daughter. She told me that she really liked that they spoke to her and talked her through the process before performing the actual ear piercing.

Scheduled an appt and three minutes before my appt time they called to tell me the person whom was doing my piercing would not be in today due to illness. Now it wasnt like my appt was at 8 when the shop opened it was mid day. So why was I informed right before my apt. Also I was calling 30 minutes before my apt to get no answer or busy signal.

Helpful and friendly staff. You cant usually expect walk-in availability. However, appointments are easy to make, there is always someone in the front. The prices are quite high (I paid $225/hr).They offer free touch-ups, though.
