Friend of mine got a tat done here. He got a really good deal. Fast work. Clean lines. Really clean inside. Smelled like cleanliness lol. We were in and out in about 2 hours. That includes drawing, stencil, prep, and actual tattoo work. They also had vegan soaps, hand made wallets, and some really cool artwork. Will def return.

Came in as a walk in to get a small line work tattoo on my wrist. Left with an asymmetrical tattoo with very inconsistent lines. Already looking for coverup solutions. There seem to be good artists here, but I would recommend booking an appointment, definitely not a walk in.

Mark did an awesome piece for my first tattoo, definitely plan on going back to finish my half sleeve over the next couple years. Charged me fairly and was just an awesome guy all around. Strongly recommend.

Mark was very friendly and made it an enjoyable experience. I love my tattoo so much. The details he was able to get in the face are amazing. It’s exactly what I hoped it would be.

Crazy fantastic. In town visiting, buddy wanting his first tattoo, me wanting a new one. It was late, called ahead, they stayed late to accommodate us. Great service, great talent, unmatched value. I will make trips to visit this place for now on.

Mark was great, took my idea and made it something even better than what I wanted. Easy to work with, and the result was stellar. I love it. First timer and it wasnt that painful, I could tell he really took his time to do things the right way. Will be coming back here for my left arm.

Absolutely amazing work and friendly environment. Ive had a lot of work done at different places but I have foind the one I will continue to go back to. Ive already gotten 2 piece done here and will continue to get more done here.

I got my first ever tattoo here in December 2020. It was great, chill but professional. I appreciated the care and input my artist maintained. I was really worried about having a tattoo with dark skin but their design and application worked for me. Definitely recommend, my next tattoo will be here.

I didnt even get the tattoo! I did not trust these people to put anything on my skin. One artist said he didn’t feel like doing it (a butterfly tattoo) then wanted me to pay $160 before even seeing the design. I left because it gave me bad vibes.

Absolutely incredible experience! Mark is absolutely the best person. It was my first tattoo and thy made me extremely comfortable and knew exactly what I wanted even though I had trouble expressing it! He is a true artist 10/10 will probably drive 7 hours just to get my next one here!

I’m so so so sad and disappointed in this shop, I got my tattoo from Dorree in November of 2020… a year later , the tattoo is barely on my skin. Butterflies have completely faded and the color isn’t even there. It’s so messy, and the hand doesn’t even look like a hand. It looks like something from a child’s sketchbook. The butterflies don’t even look like butterflies. She was also very hard on communication, and when I arrived (5 minutes late might I add) she didn’t show up until 25 minutes later. I’m just now writing a review because of how embarrassed I am of this tattoo which takes up my entire upper half of my arm. I’m not comfortable going back to get it touched up because this shop messed it up the first time. I wish I could post pictures in this review to show everyone. Please don’t go here.

I was really excited to go here bc it was not only my first color tattoo (black woman) but also my first tattoo by a black artist (experience was about 4 years ago). The color faded petty badly, in less than 3 weeks and you can barely tell what it Should be. The shop itself is pretty nice though. Again, this was about 4 years ago so maybe its a bit better now

Even with a deposit down, communication was strained, and the artist seemed less than interested in getting artwork ready. Couldnt get them on the phone to discuss the changes they were making to my original design, they insisted on texting only. I ended up cancelling, no longer feeling excited or confident in the work. The overall impression was that they werent interested in my business. Really disappointed that it didnt work out as Id only heard good things about this place!

Been a long time and I should’ve done this almost two years ago. But while I was in Kentucky for a rotational things for the army I went to Dork Tattoo sketched out since I’ve only been with one other tattoo shop. It was before a sum 41 concert and Mark tattooed a nice half sleeve of Jesus and the lamb of piece on me, then after my buddy left me to the concert, mark then took me to it. Classy guy and a great parlor to go to. I’ll never forget that day Mark and your tattoo is still holding up amazing, hopefully I’ll get to come to you again

Mark did an amazing job on my tattoo. Exceeded my (admittedly high) expectations. Hes a highly skilled artist, especially with shading. Highly recommended!!! (My first tattoo with him, but not my first). Hes a real pro and a nice guy.

We were on vacation in Kentucky recently and I have always wanted a tattoo and had to talk my husband into a good clean place to get one done for him. We googled tattoo parlors open late and found this one.Jake did our tattoos and was very patient and workable. I got lettering I had been wanting for 15 years and he did a beautiful job. He drew up a quick arrow for my husband and it looks great - he is very happy with it.Dork Parlor and Jake exceeded my dream of an on the whim at midnight tattoo adventure10/10 would come back if we lived closer for more work!

Awesome shop! The artists and owners are super nice friendly people. The space is covered in great art and is very clean. Mark Castle did a custom piece of flash on my arm and it turned out badass. Definitely check these guys out

My husband and I went to get anniversary tattoos. We felt we were overcharged for what we wanted. We paid $175 dollars for numbers. It was a frustrating experience especially since we were given one estimate before the tattoo, and then were charged an extra $50 when the tattoos were done without being told this would happen. After our tattoos have healed, it is quite evident that my husbands numbers werent fully filled in. He will have to get his re-touched at some point, which will require more money, but we will definitely not be going back there.

Such a chill staff! Me and my friend went there for our first tattoo and they made the process so easy and happily answered any questions that we had! Our artist was so amazing (don’t remember his name ☹️). The atmosphere is also dope as heck. Recommend %100.

Doree was so sweet and patient as we puzzled the design together. We had a slightly different design and took separate parts to make the full piece and I am absolutely in love with the result. She was so careful and does such delicate line work that fit with the design well. I am just ecstatic to have the whole thing healed and on my arm forever and I HIGHLY recommend Doree!

Let me start off by saying I was super nervous to come to this locally owned tattoo parlor, only because I had only ever been to Tattoo Charlies. So i wad nervous about cleanliness and fresh needles and i mean of course the art itself. My hubby had been by the shop a few times walking to the car from work. So when I entered the shop it was my first time. Let me start by saying everyone was super nice. Its a cute quiet lil shop with pictures all over the walls. I loved it instantly. Mark, my tattoo artist, was willing to work with me when it came to my tattoo . I had 2 pictures that i wanted to tie into one tattoo. He was wonderful. The main outline ur free up was perfect. Exactly how I wanted. Was even nicr enough to add a few lil things after he put the outline on. When he finished the tattoo was way better then i had imagined. I definitely recommend them. They do fantastic work. My piece is absolutely beautiful.

Went into this shop on a whim with 5 people getting pretty much the same tattoo. Wait wasn’t that long. Sketch was the artist. He does PHENOMENAL line work. Me and my friends going to Louisville once a year and we plan to make it an annual thing to hit up Dork for some ink!

This place is amazing. Mark has done two tattoos of mine and I’m obsessed with them both. They have very talented work and they are all very friendly people and the environment is clean, welcoming, and calm. I recommend this parlor to anyone. 10/10

Came on one of the Friday 13th deals. We called a head of time at around 8pm. Asked how long the wait was. They said 30mins-1hr and that they also had a waiting list and was going down the list. We got there about 8:30pm signed our names and they had everyone who has signed it to add phone number so they could call them when available. They were packed at the time. They said it should be 45mins-1hr till we got done. 2hrs later we go look at the list and there’s still 8 people a head of us but people were coming in and out quick. An hour later we went and looked again and still 8 people ahead. We said something and they said they were not going by the list. Even after telling them we have been waiting 3hrs they still took people who walked in right away. We left with no tattoos

Cheap tattoos, he scarred my arm. I’ve been using H2Ocean everyday and where he went to deep it’s scarring and turning green I’ll never go back here and don’t think anyone else should unless you want some scarification work done. Thanks for messing up my arm.. It was the black guy without dreads that ruined my arm.

The artist was really cool and very reasonable pricing. I think he did a great job on my ink. Ill definitely go back for more ink. Thanks Mark C.

Very professional shop, quaint charming environment myself and my wife got tattoos done the same night, the staff was professional knowledgeable and willing to adapt to my constant changes. Highly recommend stopping in for a tattoo if your in the market to get a tattoo.

Jasmine is by far the BEST piercer in Louisville. Sarah & Jasmine have both given me gorgeous tattoos. Never plan on going anywhere else!

Came to Dork & Jamo knocked out 2 tattoos back to back. Great customer service & good vibes all across the shop. I highly recommend them 👌🏻

Called ahead they closed at 12 am. We drove there parked and paid for parking. Then walked up the lights were all out and no one inside, the door was open but no one there. Super weird and very odd. Disappointed.

Came in pretty late but was told they would be able to get to me. Here for a night only. They told me to give them a little bit only to be told they couldnt get to me. Very disappointing when I specifically asked if they would have time before we went any further
