We took our daughter here for her first ear piercing. This was after we did thorough research and got recommendations. Elizabeth did her piercings. She was very calm, and had several techniques to calm a nervous person. She was very friendly. The area for piercings was set up very similar to a doctors office, everything was cleaned thoroughly and all tools were single use and in sterile packing. She took care to measure and ensure they were even and my daughter liked the spot before she proceeded. She was super quick and she made it as painless as possible. Several small kids were there getting piercings as well. I would highly recommend them again for any piercing. Such a good experience for a first time piercing.

I came here on my birthday this year to get my nose pierced, My piercer was Liz. She was the absolute sweetest and definitely reduced my anxiety! . Not to mention she was very efficient and the actual piercing process barely even hurt.! I cant help to brag about this place. I will definitely be coming back for any of my future piercings ! As well as, bringing some people to also get pierced by her. Thank you Liz and the rest of the team for making such a welcoming atmosphere !

I needed to replace the bead in my tragus piercing, and also have someone help me get the new ones in since Im 56, and cant see.The young woman at the front desk was very friendly and greeted us when we came in.Kiah was very helpful and patient. She helped me pick out a new bead, and then took me to a room to put them in for me.Everything was very clean, she was professional, and I was on my way quickly.I will go back for all my piercing and jewelry needs for sure.

I did Nipple piercing and my partner did septum. It was my first time ever and i have never felt this comfortable with a piercer. Liz was calm and judgement free. I went in to get my septum pierced about five weeks ago and had the best experience! This was my first ever piercing and I was extremely nervous but it was super fast and painless. Kiah did such a perfect job with placement and the piercing itself went so smoothly. I didnt feel a thing during the piercing, had very little residual pain for about two hours afterwards, but no pain after that. There was some typical swelling but I never encountered any negative effects from the piercing. I couldnt have asked for a better experience!!!

I love this place ! i called all over to get the best price for my piercing and found their prices to be very reasonable . kiah did my piercing and was so sweet and welcoming . she made me feel very comfortable and helped make the piercing go easier . jessie checked me in and was so nice and answered so many questions while i was waiting . overall , the two of them made my first experience here amazing . i definitely recommend !! 🤍

We took our daughters here for their ear piercings!The first experience at a big box different kids piercing place, was awful, so we needed to get them re-done a couple years later.Tonight we had KIAH, and when I tell you she was fantastic, I’m not lying.She was personable, kind, made the kids feel 1000% comfortable and welcome.My girls are still buzzing about the experience, and it’s all thanks to her!10/10 bring your kids here for their ears, you won’t regret it!

Liz the piercer did fantastic with my 6 year old! My 6 year old didnt even cey getting her ears pierced! She had a lot of cool things in her room and candy for afterwards! I highly recommend liz for piercings.

I came here with 2 other people who also got a piercing too. Out of the three of us mine was the worst one which was so bad I had to take it out because it was imbedded in my ear (front & back) and was infecting my other piercings, I posted pics and it’s not the worst stage but after a couple days after it was out. The women that took it out also said that it should have been a longer earring and that it was not the right spot for the one that I asked for so if I had bought the earrings thinking it was the one I wanted I would have been out that money also. I don’t remember the name of the girl who did it but she has light hair and I think dreds, Also the other girl that came with us said when she went back to them they said that hers was the wrong earing also so she had to get a bigger one - which they made her pay for even though it was their mess up. at least 1 out of us 3 got the right one and had no issues.

I decided it on a whim that I wanted to get my nose pierced just because, I remember driving past Captive Elements quite a few times and I was driving by at that time, so I decided to stop in and it was one of the best decisions Ive made. I have other piercings, and tattoos, so I have definitely had my fair share of different tattoo artist and shops, I have to say Captive Elements was extremely clean, they were extremely friendly, very prompt. The moment I walked in somebody came from a back room right away to greet me, she asked me what I was interested in, what I was looking for, she made me feel comfortable instantly. So I filled out the proper paperwork, was introduced to my piercer, her name was Elizabeth and she was wonderful! She was funny and made me feel really comfortable. She explained everything she was doing from when she was opening up the sterile equipment, how things were going to go, and what was going to happen. She explained how to take care of it afterwards, she gave me instructions on the aftercare, she also said that after my 8 weeks of healing that they have a complimentary first time Jewel change. So I will definitely recommend going there to anybody! I will definitely recommend seeing Elizabeth if youre interested in getting a piercing! Im sure everybody there is great, but my personal experience was with Elizabeth. I hope she got her rotisserie chicken a little inside joke between her and I. Thanks Elizabeth for the easy and painless piercing!!

I got my nostil pierced by Liz. Liz was so amazing and helped angle it so i could have a hoop in the future. It didnt hurt bad at all and Im definitely coming back for any other piercings. 😊

Ive gotten two tattoos by Mandy and shes always done an amazing job! The staff are cool and friendly and make you time there enjoyable. I highly recommend checking them out.

The front desk person was sweet, but I bought jewelry from here a few days ago and it gave me an allergic reaction, pls don’t buy their jewelry if you’re sensitive to metals that’s why it’s so cheap because it’s not good quality.

Luke has done my last 3 tattoos and I absolutely LOVE them! Hes an amazing artist, has great insight on everything and is a super fun guy to work with! I took my best friend there to get our latest ones and she just loved it there. Even mentioned shes coming to Luke for her next one even though she lives in duluth!

The albino looking lady with the sour braids was very very rude and sassy. She didn’t wanna give me anything to clean my new piercing and was rude overall.

I came in to get my daughters ears pierced, checked in, but was denied after waiting for well over an hour. My daughter is 4 & she asked me to get her ears pierced. We planned a day & she talked about it soooo many times leading up, she was so excited! I was trying to do the right thing by taking her into a professional piercer. We watched multiple YouTube videos of little girls getting their ears pierced, she knew every step, she knew it was going to hurt a bit, she was fully ready to get them done. She enthusiastically picked out her earrings & we were checked in by a very sweet older gentlemen. We waited & looked at magazines for an hour & when it was our turn, the piercer came out & talked to the man at the front desk & had him come break the news to us. She doesn’t pierce anyone under 5 years old. I would understand if my daughter was an infant because that’s a very controversial thing. I would understand if my daughter was 2. She’s 4 & verbally asked to get her ears pierced & fully knew what she was in for bc of my preparation & still wanted to! She was heartbroken & so confused! The piercer didn’t come out to talk to us herself which was also a bit upsetting. By that time it was late in the evening so I just said f it & took her to Claire’s a few mins down the road bc she would have been so upset if she had to wait longer since it’s already been days since she first asked me. Ultimately that was my cheeky parenting choice bc I knew piercing guns aren’t great to use. Being denied without even a chance to meet with the piercer just bc of a months difference was honestly a catalyst though.

Liz gave very detailed instructions for what to do and not to do for specific piercings, along with explanations for each step along the way. My girlfriend and I went for different piercings and was friendly and informative for the whole thing. Clearly a professional! You may need to wait but its for a good reason and its worth it, especially for the very reasonable pricing!

Absolutely my favorite place for all of my piercings. I have gotten all of my piercings here and I will say they have the best and most knowledgeable staff! They are honest about how they feel about pain level, walk you through the whole process and really care to make sure you’re in good hands and feeling comfortable. Just had my septum done earlier this week and was so scared but I had the best experience and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I thought! I highly recommend! Got my first official piercing today on my birthday! They have a birthday discount to get a free piercing if you pay for jewelry. The only reason we had to wait an hour is because the person ahead of us was afraid🤣 and I do not blame them at all for the wait. The receptionist was super sweet and very helpful as well and kind with such a new experience. The pierer was also very nice and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.I definitely recommend this place if youre looking to get a piercing and a GOOD ONE. It didnt even hurt that badly, it just feels spicy afterwards.She made sure I knew how to care for my new piercing as well and so far it has been as expected.Thank you for the piercing Ive been wanting for YEARS, it looks amazing and I cant wait to come back for more!

I got my tragus(traguses? Tragi? Lol) pierced a few months ago. This visit was to get them changed out for tiny hoops. I chose rose gold, and they are ADORABLE!The place is immaculate, the other employeesLiz was my piercing professional extraordinaire, and she was FABULOUS (not to mention lovely, compassionate and sweet)!! Ill be returning to this gem hidden away in that nondescript little strip mall for ALL my future piercing needs as well as my tats (once I get in to meet their tattooing talent for a consult). 😊💜I give them a 6-out-of 5 star rating.

So me and my brother went in for piercings today and the staff there made the experience so lovely. My brother was nervous getting his lobes done and Elizabeth made the experience so welcoming and inviting I definitely think it helped. And I got my nose done and I’m absolutely in love with my piercing. I will definitely be coming back!!

I was impressed at how much they made my daughter feel comfortable about getting her ears pierced.Four stars because I think they need to be more clear about pricing, I’m not in the piercing and tattoo world so none of the info they give me made sense. I’m still not sure I understood why I was charged $100 for ear piercings. I’m ok with the price( a little steep) but a disconnect is there.Great job Creative Elements- I will be asking for pricing up front next time-

We love the atmosphere ! Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Elizabeth has done all my daughters piercings, shes amazing. Its 1 of the only below 18 shops we could find, but wed never go anywhere else now.

Love Captive Elements! Its the only place Ive ever gone for piercings and will continue to be the only place I go to. The staff are incredibly friendly and take awesome care of their clients. Ive recommended them to a few other people and have also enjoyed their experience here.

Let me start by saying how wonderfully friendly the staff are. They make the customers feel welcome and at ease. But I cannot give them more stars.I went there on a Monday afternoon and entered to a full lobby. The guy at the desk said that the wait wasnt as bad as it looked (just getting to the point where we could check in took about ten minutes because there was only 1 person dealing with all the checking in and out). Only 1 piercer doing everyone as well. Some of the piercings that day took only 5 minutes while others would be back there for 30!Fast forward to the end and we end up paying WAY more than expected ($90+ for earlobes)because apparently all the studs for lobe piercing are not the same price. Again, not told that there were different price points when she slid the box of colors towards us and said which one of these do you want?They need to be more forthcoming with communication so customers know what to expect. Particularly when it comes to wait times since they dont do appointments for piercings. I drove a half hour to get there and sat for over 2 hours before coming out smelling of incense and marijuana.

I love love love Liz. Had my daughter there again today. We were looking for a Medusa piercing and she said my kid wasn’t a good candidate for it so we went for the double nostril. We absolutely love her and Desi at the front of the house was awesome! Love them so much and will be back!!!

Mandy has seriously messed up my perspective on artists as a professionalShe is now refusing to finish a piece she has messed up. Other artists wont even touch it. I have pictures of all message threads regarding this horrible experience.I complained about how much money I have spent for the little amount of progress made and she snapped on me. Made me feel guilty for her low quality work.I also have pictures of the waiver/disclaimer you sign before getting body modification. As you can see in the photo, there is never a set price on the sheet before I had to sign it. That means she is charging me what ever she wants and writing down a drastically lower number for tax claim purposes.Not only is Mandy Wolak a lousy artist, but she also evades taxes!Inconsistent from our initial start date. She moved me around from the beginning. When I had to move an appointment she sent me long stories about her terrible financials. Trying to guilt trip me into keeping the appointment.I want justice.This is the most ridiculous story I have ever heard of or encountered with a tattoo artist. My skin is ruined to the point where this artist wont even finish it. I cannot think of a punishment worthy of this crime.My body has been damaged for an undefined amount of money over multiple sessions. What would possibly do that justice?

Liz, the piercer, is fantastic and very professional! Ive been in multiple times to get my nose rings changed out or put back in when Ive accidentally pulled them out and it was such a quick and painless process. Ive recently gotten my nips pierced and my VCH done. She did a wonderful job explaining what she was using and why. Helped me feel very comfortable. The new person they have in the front is awesome.

Brought my 11 year old daughter in to get her ears pierced, Liz was great. Explained everything to us, super friendly, and did a fantastic Job.She said she barely felt a thing! Highly recommend!

Took my daughter to get her eye brow pierced, and not only did she make the experience great she helped my daughter feel more comfortable about the whole thing. They told us how to clean and maintain the piercing while it was healing but gave us instructions, and product to help it heal. The price was very competitive with the other places I had researched. Ultimately it was how open and friendly the staff was that made my daughter, and me feel that made us come here.

If I could give this place a million stars I would! Liz and her apprentice Kiah (who did the piercing) were beyond amazing. I really enjoyed my experience having my nose piercing done. They were both very friendly, super patient, and did an amazing job! I highly recommend seeing them for any piercing needs! Will definitely be back for more piercings or tattoos in the future.

Tldr ; Industrial piercing is healing magnificently and I 100% recommend Kiah to be your piercer!I was a little hesitant to go here since it’s about a 40 minute drive from home, but after hearing my friends rave about it I figured I should at least go to check it out and see if they had any openings. When I walked in they had a 30 minute wait for piercings, and since I had all day I figured why not. I told the person at the desk I would like an industrial, they told me that since it’s anatomy dependent they would go get the piercer to check my ear (doesn’t even take 30 seconds) so I wouldn’t be waiting for nothing. Super grateful for that! The piercer said my ear was good and after I filled out all of the paper work eventually it was my turn on the chopping block. Kiah (the piercer) walked me through the process and told me what she was doing before she did it (super helpful for my anxiety lol). The piercing turned out awesome and the healing process has been great too! It’s only been two days and I’ve been following the care instructions but it’s so weird how it’s painless, even if I accidentally bump it. Redness and swelling have died down almost completely and I even considered calling to see if it’s normal that this piercing, said to be one of the most painful to get and clean, should be so painless after only a day or two!! Kiah did a wonderful job and while I’m not planning on getting any more piercings for a while, I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone choosing to go here!

Highly recommend! I am so glad that I decided to drive the hour instead of using a local piercing shop. Elizabeth was amazing! I wanted to get my lip re-pierced, but she said we could stretch it instead of re-piercing! She was so helpful with all of my questions and explained everything perfectly. Looks like I will be driving an hour for my next piercings! Clean and friendly shop!

I got 2 cartilage piercings 2.5 years ago. The piercer messed up twice, causing me to have 4 holes in my ear. Now, they never healed, I have 2 major bumps, and they’re extremely painful. She told me at the time she wouldn’t pierce with studs, only hoops. The jewelry rusted, she was very unprofessional. I had 2 other opinions and they said “that is the worst piercing I’ve ever seen, that was done completely sideways.” 0 stars!!!

I want to share some amazing feedback about your veteran piercer, Liz. This woman is amazing! Ive been there three times now for my kids. Last Monday, 7/18/22, I went in with my mom and daughter, as they were getting matching cartilage piercings (awww, cute). Liz called us all back and immediately asked me what I did to my hand. I told her Im an idiot and tripped, resulting in a broken hand on 7/17/22 - just the day before. Not only did she calm my daughters nerves and did a fantastic job on both my mom and daughter, Liz went above and BEYOND. She gifted me with elastic-ended sleeve bags! 5 of them! I just tie a knot on one end and slip it over my splint/cast and VIOLA! Showers are a breeze now! Thank you Liz, for being a wonderful human! You were so gentle with my daughter (16) and you cared enough about me to gift me. This may seem small to some but for me, Liz showed sincere human care for another fellow human. I will continue to frequent this establishment. Always a great experience! Thank you, Liz!

They are always helpful and professional. When I need help with jewelry changes etc, no job is too small. When I thought my piercings needed to be redone, instead of just doing that and charging me, Liz took the time to try widening them and not charging a dime! Impressive customer service. And since my heart was set on using my own studs, she thoroughly disinfected them and put them in for me. Of course I was happy to give her a big tip, but for all she knew she was doing all of this for nothing. Thumbs up.

Luke is really creative, and a great artist. I appreciate the thought that went into my memorial tattoo for a friend of mine that passed just over a year ago. Will definitely be going back.

It was my first time getting a face piercing so I was a bit nervous, but the staff was friendly and explained everything beforehand. I felt comfortable there, and the the quality was good. Nice prices too. Ill definitely go there again next time I get pierced, Liz is amazing!

The shop was clean. The piercing artist was friendly and did a quick job. My issue is that the website was not very clear regarding pricing. It states an ear piercing is $40 for both lobes. Jewelry was vaguely priced from $5-$25 for both lobes. Once in store, I was offered two options for piercing jewelry and they were $15 EACH for the cheapest option (threadless push pin type). Ear piercings ended up being $92. I could have gone to my physicians office and gotten the same procedure (no gun) for significantly cheaper. A reconfiguration of their website pricing page would be helpful for clarity.

I recieved nothing but the best service Ive ever experienced in any tattoo or piercing shop. If youre looking for a knowledgeable and friendly piercer who actually takes their time and cares about their clients, youve come to the right place! Elizabeth is the best hands down !!

Though I can’t speak on behalf of the quality of their tattoos here, for piercings I must say that Liz is by far the best! She is so genuine and real, but also kind and comforting. She was very professional and did a great job. This was my third piercing done at this shop by her, and still super satisfied with my choice of going to this place for my piercings. Thank you Liz!! Liz the piercer is absolutely amazing. She pierced my daughters ears and made her feel super comfortable. Even offered great advice as it was healing when we needed it. Most recently I had her remove my piercings before my MRI and put them back in after. She is such a sweetheart and we will definitely be coming back soon.

I wanted a new piercing and decided on Captive Elements thanks to other reviews. Kiah is the one who pierced my eyebrow and she spent a lot of time making sure she got everything lined up just right. I was also extremely impressed with their prices, as the other shop I was contemplating going to charges $35+ just for jewelry. I am really excited for my piercing to heal so I can come back to get my piercing swapped out, which is free! (First swap is free minus the cost of jewelry unless you bring your own). Very friendly shop and I also felt very safe and in good hands because all of the employees that were there when I was in were women!

My experience was fantastic. I was immediately greeted when I walked into the door, everything explained in its entirety, great prices, friendly staff. Liz is awesome and introduced herself at the front as well. Shes very knowledgeable. My nose piercing was a breeze. A little friendliness goes a long way in my opinion. I have been to other shops where the employees seem stuck-up, but not here. I will definitely come back here again in the future.

On a bit of a whim, I stopped at Captive Elements to have my nose pierced on my way home from work. The gal at the front desk, and the piercer were both friendly, helpful, and efficient. I love my new nose piercing!!

This was one of my favorite piercing experiences by far. (The picture was taken right after I got them, so they were bleeding a little bit) I got my snakebites with Liz a couple weeks ago and she is just the best piercer. She spent a lot of time carefully placing them in the best spots, and talked me through the entire process which made me feel calm and comforted. It was minimally painful and quite quick, everything was clean, and I’ve had no issues with healing whatsoever just following her aftercare instructions. I seriously could not be more pleased with my snakebites. They look amazing and I’m so happy. Thank you Liz, I absolutely love them :D

The body piercers are very outgoing and great at their job! I didnt feel nervous at all because of their humorous personalities, and I definitely recommend this place for any piercings!

I am SO beyond happy with my experience here! I got my thirds (lobe piercings) done here. Not only were they the cheapest place that didnt use guns, but they were super friendly. Id spoken to them several times via email about the piercings I would be coming in for, and they always answered promptly. They were more than willing to answer any questions I had, as well as the several questions my aunt had.We had a bit of a wait, but thats because they take their time so they do it right, make sure the client knows how to care for their piercings, and they clean thoroughly before the next person.Jennie, my piercer, was very caring and nice. She made extra sure that I was doing okay through the whole process and was extremely careful in lining up where my piercings would be.My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that I wasnt told which jewelry would be best until after Id chosen some and gotten the piercing done. However, that could be my mistake for not asking as well, which I didnt think to do because I was a bit nervous.I will definitely be coming back here for all of my future piercings, and Ive already recommended them to several people.I am extremely happy with my experience and my new piercings!

Liz did an awesome job with my nose piercing. She made me super comfortable and explained everything really well along with sending me home with very clear after care instructions. Ive had my nose pierced before and this was a better experience as far as pain and feeling at ease. I did a walk-in and waited about 20 minutes during midday on the weekend.

There are plenty of shops that will be a little snooty when it comes to piercing kids. Captive Elements wasnt this way at all. They were great and saved the day for us when another shop cancelled. Our piercer was kind and friendly (as was the entire staff). She explained all the steps to our daughter and shared her excitement over getting her ears pierced. Beyond that, she did a great job. All the stars!

Had a great piercing experience for me and my daughter! It was her lobes, she was very nervous but was calmed down so easily and was handled so gently by the piercer, wish I got their name!I got my tragus done, I think the placement is perfect with my anatomy!Will be back, thanks for the punch card (a punch per piercing. I got my nipple piercings out of state, but I have gone into captive elements every time I have had (or have thought to have) issues with them. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Website says piercings are done until 5:30pm. I walked in at 4:50pm on Sunday to an EMPTY shop besides a person getting a tattoo. Took about 5 minutes for someone to come out, she asked what she could do for me and when I told her I wanted to get my nose pierced she said sorry we’re done doing piercings for the day because the piercer needs enough time to clean their tools before close. Pretty disappointed.

Most excellent service. Maggie and the front desk lady were great. I kind of had a meltdown (grieving mother) and they were so kind and reassuring. Maggie stretched my old piercing holes so we were able to put my daughters earrings in. Followed CDC guidelines & protocol so I felt safe. Thanks for everything. I will return for future piercings.

I got my tongue pierced here and it was such a great experience! She was amazing and checked my tongue out to make sure I had the right kinda tongue for the piercing to heal well and not reject. Everything was very clean the shops nice and she told me what she was doing throughout the process. Pain was 3 outta 10. Definitely recommend!

Ive been to captive on many occasions and the staff are amazing. Ive had 90% of my tattoos done by mandy. she is professional, experienced, friendly and knowledgeable. I have also had all my piercings done here and everything is done by the state guidelines and is sanitized and clean. Liz has done my piercings and is amazing at what she does also! Nikola was AWESOME! My sister and I were walk-in tattoo appointments. There was maybe a 5 minute wait for him to finish up another appointment and then he was entirely focused on us. We went in with an idea of what we wanted (a quote) but we didnt have the exact size or the font we wanted. He wrote something up, ended up changing the size to what we wanted and it was perfect! It took less than 5 minutes for each tattoo, but he still did a great job. We will definitely be going back when we are in the area. When I called in to see if they took walk-ins, the receptionist was very friendly. When we got there, she remembered my call and got us settled. She explained the paperwork effectively when it came that time. She answered any questions we had without snark or sarcasm, like one of the other reviews mentioned. I loved my experience and will recommend to anyone in the area.

Ive gotten pierced here a few times. They are always nice, quick, and safe. Prices are good too. The first time I came here was for an industrial piercing, but was told I couldnt due to the shape of my ear. I went to another place and they were able to do it. However, I appreciated the piercers honesty because if theyre not comfortable in doing it I dont want them to do it! Shout out to Taylor who does a really great job! I barely felt anything when she pierced me!

I went in for a stud to ring change for my nostril. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The lady who changed my piercing was very gentle so sweet and provided so much information! An amazing piercing and tattoo place!

VERY disappointed after my experience today, especially after having a great experience prior with Liz piercing my ears a few months ago.Yesterday, I bought 4 pairs of flatback earrings as I lost one of mine and wanted additional colors. The girls at the desk were very accommodating and friendly even thought it was busy. When I got home I realized one pair of earrings had one set in prongs and the other not (and was labeled on the packaging as such). Easy mix-up- I decided I would ask to switch one the next day.Today when I came in to do so, the old man at the counter was immediately EXTREMELY rude to me, constantly cutting me off as I was trying to explain what happened, arguing I couldnt return it (which I didnt want to do anyway). When he decided to finally let me speak he quickly realized I was right and swapped out the earring. I went in originally wanting to also make additional purchases, but I didnt end up doing that as I wanted to leave asap. I have no plans to come back as long as hes working there.

I am hesitant to write this review. I was tattooed by Luke (Menace), and man was my piece botched. I like him as a human, we had some excellent conversation and I feel like I could hang out and play video games with the guy. The idea was okay for what I wanted and the time that we had. However, the execution was awful, especially for someone who has been in the industry for as long as he has. The choices that he made just simply need to be better. When I showed what he put on me to another artist, they visibly cringed, and offered to fix it for free. I wouldnt let Menace touch me again with a needle. Also, the shop was incredibly disorganized and dirty.Edit: I did appreciate the shop reaching out to me, but my review stands as read. I would not recommend Luke for tattoos, and have actively discouraged friends from going here. I cannot speak for the other artist(s) at the shop, nor the piercings side of things.

I love getting my piercings done here. Ive had 6 piercings done here so far and I absolutely love them. They are clean, professional, and really quick. They always go through the procedure and ask for any questions. Theyre all really friendly too.They also have a punch card. The third piercing you get includes free jewelry and the 6th piercing is free.

I just HAD to come on and say THANK YOU to Liz and the staff that I met upon my arrival. I was so nervous about getting my girls pierced. Liz talked to me like a person and not a body. That is greatly appreciated. I was able to feel calm and considering I do have a documented phobia of needles (go figure i get pierced) It was over in a snap! Minimal pain like she said. AND they are even! I cannot tell you how many misalignments I have had in general over the years when it comes to body mods. -.-So far it is day 2 and there is not much swelling or issue at all. Got my nose pierced and they did an amazing job, quick, easy and not painful. She was ready to go when I got in the room and when we were done she cleaned everything up and went over cleaning process and was very professional! Defiantly will be coming back if I choose to get more ! Way better experience then the last place I went.

My boyfriend and I went to get 4 piercings. The day we showed up the front desk lady was extremely rude she didnt even look up our appointment and treated us as a walk-in. She wouldnt answer any of our questions and would brush us off. She showed us very limited jewelry options and she basically said what you see is what you get. So we chose something that we were semi-okay with and moved on. Then she preceded to hand us the consent forms, after reading the consent forms they slipped in a trick question saying I have not read the form and do so consent to being charged double. Before handing the consent form in my boyfriend proceeded to ask her about a possibly metal allergy that he could have based on his siblings experiences and she quickly responded we use titanium you should be fine in a very rude voice then hurried us up with handing the forms in. After all that we decided to not get our piercings done here and we walked out because of the front desk lady making us feel very uncomfortable and adjitacted. I highly recommend against getting your piercings done here.

I have wanted to get my nipples pierced for awhile now. So after doing a lot of research I found Captive Elements. Im so glad I did! My piercer Jennie was AMAZING! She knew I was nervous, she talked my through the whole process! She was friendly, such a sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable! She was very knowledgable and professional. She explained how to keep my piercings clean and even sent me home with a paper that outlined everything i needed to do and it was personalized, had my name on it and everything! I want to have two more piercings done in the future, and I will definitely be coming back here to get them! It was such a clean place, the staff was extremely friendly and have the most pleasant attitudes! Thanks again so much for such an amazing experience I cant wait to come back!

The shop was clean and looked nice, the staff is nice and helped me change jewelery that my original piercer shouldnt have used for fresh piercings and helped me realize some other things about said fresh piercings. I’ll give this one star since I cannot give 0. DO NOT GET PIERCINGS DONE HERE. I don’t know what level of apprenticeship these people go through, but this girl did NOT know how to pierce. She could put in my nose ring that has been pierced for years, but couldn’t tell that my Medusa should not have been continuously messed with after multiple false attempts to put in a piece of jewelry without a clamp. They knew they messed up too and gave me my nose ring for free. Sitting at home with a fat lip since she couldn’t figure out how to do it right the first time. Educate yourself before you start messing with peoples body’s you either need to practice more OR DONT PIERCE!!! Absolutely insane to me.

My cousin & I wanted to get tattoos. We decided upon this place because it was the only place open later than 8pm.First off, the receptionist was extremely rude. She tried to be nice, but came off as a rude type of “nice” for lack of a better word. The type of atmosphere that makes you unsure if you came to the right place to get a tattoo. She wasn’t helpful, at all, and just kind of sat there. Yikes.Secondly, all we wanted was a SMALL heart, literally not when the size of my pinky nail — and after talking to the receptionist, it would be $80 for their shop minimum. Okay, fine, we know that shops have minimums and whatnot. So after the receptionist goes to one of the artists who were there, he comes out and tells us $100. $100 each for a tattoo that will maybe take 10 minutes, if that. I’m curious to see how the price jumped up $20, not including tip.** I would also like to note that this was around 8pm, maybe a little bit after and the shop was not busy.Safe to say, we didn’t get a tattoo that night and are happy about our decision.

Though I happy I got my lip piercing here, its very aggravating that they had gotten rid of their appointment system. A jewelry change takes at most 5 minutes for the entire process, yet because a massive party was there before me, I have to wait 3-4 hours? If you want to grt a piercing here, just be ready to be sitting for a while. I was sitting for 45 minutes when I got my second one, all because they dont go by appointments anymore.

Helpful. Knowledgeable. The staff i worked with was awesome. Staff asked questions and did everything to make sure i had the right shoes while offering easy tips to help. The customers who came in after me where helped quickly. Each staff were attentive to their customer, but also acknowledged any new customer. I felt like i was important to then. Customers where ask ages. I think Ive found my fav shoe store.

I stopped in to Captive Elements while in town for work. Lost the ball to my nose ring, the hoop fell out of the hole, and I couldnt get it back through. The lady was super nice and helpful. She explained to me each step as she was re-opening the hole that had started to close while my hoop had fallen out. She was very clean -- changed her gloves 3 or 4 different times in the 10+ minutes I was in the shop. Clean, friendly, and knowledgeable people!

I came here to get my ears pierced a few years ago and I loved this place, but after I came in to get my nose pierced I will never come here again. The lady who pierced me was very nice but she seemed rushed and didn’t care about my experience, same with the front desk lady who seemed to care more about playing on her phone and complaining about her job than helping me with questions I had. The lady who pierced me put a cartilage earring in my nose, it took me over an hour to get it out of my nose with help from my dad and a needle nose, I’m not sure I know any other place that would put a cartilage earring in someone’s nose and not a L shape nose ring.

I’ve gotten many tattoos done by Luke aka Menace. Every single time the shop has been clean and sanitized and Luke has done an absolutely amazing job on my tattoos. Luke is very thorough during the whole process from consultation to the end, and the only person I trust to tattoo me.

I had an appointment once with an artist who’s first name starts with M. She is super great and personal and cool but lost my respect for when she wouldn’t give me my money back on a scheduled appointment we had when she had weeks to design my image and was not ready with it the day before. I get that people “have bill” end quote, but thought it was super unprofessional not seeing my side of ready to get a tattoo that wasn’t even designed by the due date. How can one edit or tweak the night before? Nah

I LOVE THIS PLACEit is relaxed environment, everyone of the employees looked as though they truly loved what they are doing.I went to Luke Sketch and he was amazing. spent the time and made the effort into exactly what I wanted. And made some pretty good conversation while inking me.I cannot wait to save up for my next tattoo, hey have made a life long customer .

I got my cartilage pierced here 8 months ago and it still is not fully healed and was pierced crooked compared to my other cartilage piercing that is right above it. I wouldn’t recommend Captive if you are going in for that piercing. The experience was pleasant and everyone was nice and efficient.

I always seem to lose the earrings for my forward helix and tragus, and they are the best at fitting you in to put a new one in and suggesting a new piercing!

Went in to get my nose ring tightened, no smile and no warning that she couldn’t get my nose ring back to how it was. Very rude, did not feel comfortable. She thoroughly ruined my nose ring even after I kept telling her it hurt. Didn’t even have materials to cut the nose ring even though they do piercings?? My nose ring is supposed to be an L now and it’s not even straight. AND it still hurts. I regret ever going and wish I kept a slightly loose nose ring. Would not recommend. Going to another place to get it fixed correctly and professionally.

From the moment I walked into the shop bad vibes from the front desk clerk big heavy set girl seemed to busy with her phone than work. Seen the site for piercings say call ahead make sure gal is there but you get there and she has a magical schedule that seems she can be to busy to take walk ins even though that is all she supposedly takes.Past than wanted to get a quote on my tattoo that I wanted done the guy seemed disgusted I wanted a price no idea who he even was didnt even introduce himself way unprofessional. And though I seen only one other person in the back said it would take a while to get a price....Why advertise walk ins for stuff and come in for pricing on there website if they wont offer it what a joke rude employees you can know will just dig into you as they tattoo you and the front desk clerk should be asking if you want fries with that shake not be a front desk of anywhere..... rude rude rude people.....

Professionalism is a casual setting. Wow these artists are amazing. They do more than put ink on your body; they educate you on proper care, methods, the machines they use, and even the history of the style of tattoo you are getting. Ive been tattooed by Mandy and Luke (Minnesota Menace). Luke has done most of my work and educated me on traditional tattoos everywhere from their origin, the machines and needles that were used, to the traditional colors used. I will never go to another shop other than Captive Elements. Thank you for making my experience nothing less than perfect every time I receive your services.

Luke is awesome. Great company and has a gentle hand. Reasonably priced, very clean, and safe. Greatest artist Ive had this far. Definitely found my forever tattoo artist and shop.

Very professional, clean, friendly place. Ive only worked with one artist, Mandy, but shes been phenomenal for me. She was recommended by a very good friend whose had a lot of work done by her.

Very unprofessional establishment, but they do have a wonderful piercer. I came here to get my anti eyebrow and when I walked in I could tell immediately it was a very chaotic place. There were people in every corner of the store just hanging out, including the workers. Not to mention a mob of four people hanging out at the receptionists desk not even 2 feet away from where I was trying to tell the receptionist all my info.(there is a designated area with two couches that are meant for waiting and for talking) After signing my paperwork, I sat down on the couch and waited for the piercer to be ready. There were two of the workers shouting a story to each other from across the room, with multiple cuss words escaping from their mouths. When I was finished with my piecing and was paying, the group of four was still standing there chatting away. One of them appeared to work there. I felt as though there was no organization, and it was very rude that the worker didnt move his conversation over to a different area so that other clients could have their privacy. Fortunately, the piercer was very kind and seemed like she genuinely cared, so I will most likely be returning to this shop. She is the only reason that shop still exists in my opinion.

Went to different shops wasnt satisfied with the outcome, found captive elements online went to check it out and needless to say ive been going back for years.Always friendly staff that know you by name :)If youre unsure of how you want your tattoo the staff is very patient and willing to give the feedback/advice on placement or design.They make you feel welcomed like a person not just $$$$ walking in.

JENNY IS AMAZING. I went to Wingnut for my first piercing and honestly just wish I came here right from the start. Ive now had Jenny pierce my nipples and a vertical labret. She always is so careful to make sure they are lined up and even and answers all of my questions. Will for sure be coming here for more piercings and some tattoos eventually too.

Got my nippies pierced here and let me just say that Liz is amazing and helped so much with keeping me comfortable 💜 Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!

Receptionist was rude as hell. Told 30 minutes, hour later still waiting. Then a regular came in and was taken before me and a lobby full of people. I use to get all my piercings here and recommend to everyone.. NEVER AGAIN, THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN HILL.

Not impressed. First time I called and they only did walk-ins, got there and the piercer was out on a personal errand. Lost out on a lot of money that time, we were getting a total of 5 piercings all together. Then for some dumb reason went there last night and the piercer had the personality of a door mat. Not a smile or anything. Not the same place that it used to be back in the day. Would not recommend.

Just got my septum done yesterday by Kiah. Ive always been weary hearing the horror stories, but she did an amazing job. Kiah is a great piercer, and placed it perfectly.

I scheduled a tattoo with Luke, he produced some great work, was super relaxed and was able to put up with my jumpiness. He did an amazing job accommodating last minute changes to the design and will definitely come back!

Had the absolute best experience here! The girls were so so incredibly nice and all around amazing!!!! 100/10 HIGHLY recommend!!!! Will most definitely be back for more! Thank you ladies!

My experience at Captive Elements was not satisfactory, as I was denied a piercing. This is not the first time I was denied a piercing at this establishment. The pricier who I was never introduced to was called in from outside and came in talking on her phone (real professional!). Then she looked at my naval in the middle of the waiting room I was embarrassed and shocked at the unprofessional, will not be returning.

Great place loved it,The people were so nice and they gave tips om how to clean your piercing which was great cause this was my first piercing. I will definitely get more piercings here again

I wish I could split.. piercing was a great experience, the tattoo experience not so much. The guy was so rude and unhelpful that I will not return. I get that Im not spending a ton of money but business is business and I guess Ill take mine elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I both got tattoos done at Captive by Catfish. My boyfriends was a botched house tattoo and Catfish offered a more than fair price and it looks a million times better than before. My tattoo was a new one and he took the time to find many pictures to reference from and free handed most of the tattoo. I absolutely love it. Besides that he made us feel so comfortable and was super friendly. I would definitely suggest going to him!

Today was my 2nd tattoo from here. I love the people there, theyre so nice & laid back.I felt bad for making the dude move over the stencil 2 times so it would be hidden when I turned my wrist out wouldnt show.Its not even & the lines are wonky. I didnt notice until I took the wrap off & wiped the blood away. Im going back tomorrow to see if they can fix it or Ill have my first bad tattooI went in the day after & he had no problem fixing it free of charge. I love this place & the people.The touch up was free but I still have him a $2 tip bc that was all I had :)))))

My 5 year old had her ears pierced. She did not flinch! Professional, personable and comforting staff!

Have gotten two piercings from here. Was super affordable and didnt have to wait a long time. The piercer knew what she was doing and they do a great job.

Great place! Got both my nostrils peirced here! The lady was super nice and made sure everything was clean and that the peircings would be lined up evenly! The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Went in for quote on a tattoo, BAD VIBES from when I first stepped foot in here. I think her name was Mandy, she quoted me at 360$ for an average size tattoo I wanted on my arm. I thought that price was VERY high being that there is no detail in the tat, and its not a huge tattoo, and its one color.So I went to MAFIA INK, paid 150$ and they got my business instead.Not sure why she quoted me so high, but No I wont go back to captive or recommend to anyone. 1 1/2 hrs for a tat is NEVER worth 360$. Dont care how good she thinks she is.

Front staff was very rude and judge-mental. Neither one seemed happy to be dealing with customers. Essentially was turned away because of my size and was told to go somewhere else because “they do not care”.

Liz did an AMAZING job with my ear piercing. Definitely would recommend to anyone, especially if theyre nervous!

I have had multiple piercings done by Skot. He is always friendly, professional and informative. I appreciate that he has no problem telling me when he thinks something wont work for my body. There are other piercers in my town but I will always drive the 40 minutes to have Skot pierce me!

Maggie did a great job piercing my daughters ears - placement was good, quick, she was calm, patient, empathetic and personable and made it a fun experience for Zeta.

My son got his first tattoo done at this establishment. He was very disappointed after his first tattoo experience. The tattoo looked awful, lines crooked, details were left out, incorrectly placed and the color leached out of it in 2 weeks! The guy was extremely rude and my son was not told how to properly care for it afterward. When my son went back to the shop, he was told that the artist no longer worked there and that it was my sons fault the tattoo was ruined. The shop said there was nothing they would do and that none of their artists could or would fix it unless he paid full price. The young lady at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional about the entire situation. We will be letting everyone know how he was treated by your staff and we will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau.

My Daughter got a piercing from Liz today. Liz is totally awesome I would recommend her to anyone and will bring anyone in my family back to her.

They are great for piercings! However, I would strongly discourage anyone from getting tattoos here. Horribly rude. The artist I had made fun of me multiple times for my body image. There was no precision within the lines of my tattoo and they look very shakey. I hate the result of this tattoo. Never again.
