Awesome place for anyone to get a tattoo, the people that work here are all super nice and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. I had Charlie for my tattoo artist and he did an absolutely amazing job! Was really nice and very professional. I am definitely going back for more tattoos from him.

Charlie was awesome! Got me in right away, on a walk in. He was funny and carried on a good conversation with me and my friend. It literally took him five minutes start to finish and my new tattoo turned out perfect! Thank you so much Charlie! I’ll be back!

Me and a friend came for their Friday the 13th event and had a blast, totally dope experience start to finish. We got tattoos from a couple of their super talented artists and were both insanely happy with the results. Both artists were extremely nice and great to talk to, and their work is fantastic. Super chill environment, great deals, seriously cant recommend this place enough. Huge shoutout to my guy Randy Bray, and Jason Colehour for hooking up my buddy. Check this place out now!!!Edit: wanted to add that they had no problem tattooing over my scars, and I felt very safe when talking to multiple people working there about it :)

Just finished my back piece at BHTC and I am so thrilled! I actually would go in an hour early to have numbing tattoo cream applied because I couldnt reach all of my back. Then I just hang out at the studio until my appointment time. Its such a comfortable environment and very chill - the hour I have kill before my appointment goes by so fast there. The artists and staff are friendly. The shop is also exceptionally clean as there are signs to wash your hands with sinks outside the individual studios around the shop. Everything was done sanitarily during all of my tattoo sessions. My pieces healed perfectly and are very vibrant. I look forward to my next custom piece by Charlie at BHTC.

I have had the pleasure of working with a few of the artists here; Jason, Mark and Travis. I had amazing experiences each and every time and all the artists here are extremely talented!Exemplary customer service, great vibe and very reasonable cost! I came in as a walk in and Charlie got me in right away. He was super friendly and professional and was willing to work around my budget. I got a beautiful piece on my arm in full color and I was in and out in about 2.5 hours. Charlie is an absolute beast, and made my boyfriend want to get his first tattoo. I can’t wait to get more of his art.

My wife and I got traditional Ojibwe floral pattern tattoos by Charlie Mendez. First off I cant say enough about the artist! Very professional and my wife and I felt really comfortable with him and had great conversation! It was more than just a tattoo, it was a great experience and connection with an amazing artist that takes a lot of pride in his work. As for our tattoos??Insane how amazing they turned out! Better than expected! And the rest of the guys there were super chill and helpful. Extremely clean! Before any tattoo they clean everything, including the entire room before and after each customer. I will ONLY go to Broken Heart Tattoo Club!

Myself and 4 family members all went in to get matching tattoos, the same theme and style. We were able to get everyone in the same day and with the same artist, Solin Mendez. His use of color was excellent and I loved the style that he added to the reference images we sent. Everyone there was super friendly, and it was a great experience.

Great place of business!Cleanest, least cluttered/outdated shop Ive been in! They have amazing artwork floor to ceiling and always someone as a receptionist. Super helpful and respectful, much more comfortable here than any other shop in MPLS.I followed one of my favorite artists, Randy Bray over here from his previous studio. Hes done my whole right arm and a lot of my legs, very happy with it all! I’ve gotten three tattoos by Mark in the last week! came last week and after 3 years with no ink i was desperate for more. Mark did my tattoo for my daughter, and was very quick and kind! came in with a friend tonight and got two more! His linework is very clean, and the color I’ve got is very strong!Jason did my friends tattoo, and from what he said he was very quick, clean, and efficient, and as a darker canvas it was very important to him to have something that showed! Solin Mendez has been my go to artist for the past few months. He has given me a multitude of amazing tattoos, a coverup that I am very happy with, ribs and behind the knee tattoos that he talked me through the process. GReaT pricing, and professionalism, he has also been great help helping me with any questions I have had on after care. Solin gave me my first tattoo and it is a choice I will make again and again.

Rachael was great! Shes super chill, had cool music playing, and was easy to talk to. And of course, her work is freakin amazing. My tattoo was done in two sessions so that most of the color could be done the second session. Im so grateful that she did so perfectly. Oh and she suggested the placement (I was going to do more centered on the arm/shoulder) which I absolutely love. She knows what she is doing!

Adam is a tattoo god! He did my daughters first tattoo from conception to finish and its everything shes been dreaming about for more than 2 years. No, it didnt take him 2 years, she thought and planned from 16 until she was 18 and legal in MN to get tattooed. Adam was definitely worth the wait and a TRUE artist with a legit business. This is not a place that slackers hang around outside smoking, making you uncomfortable to walk in. The artistry, skill, and professionalism Adam has is what EVERY tattoo artist should be required to have before putting needle to skin. Id recommend him to anybody wanting to adorn themselves with body art!

I received a gift certificate from my most generous wife for BHTT and Adam was to be my artist. I have several tattoos already but got my last one 21 years ago. I met with Adam one afternoon and shared my ideas and a drawing I had done myself with the components I wanted in my tattoo. After just a few minutes talking with Adam I felt very comfortable giving him artistic license to create my tattoo with my ideas. I scheduled an appointment 2 1/2 weeks in the future and left.On the day of my tattoo appointment Adam had to deal with a few unexpected visitors but maintained a calm professional attitude through it all. The studio is exceptionally clean in appearance. Adam was very cool and workmanlike in his approach. My tattoo came out amazing! His eye for detail and composition is so good. The best part... when he was done he told me Id have money left on the GC. Im thinking $50. He left $125 in value on the GC. Im definitely going back, in fact itll probably be in a month or so. I think I found my new tattoo artist right here in Nordeast.

Mark was amazing to work with. Great conversation helped pass the total of 7 hours it took to do 3 tattoos for us. He also helped design a perfect tattoo in memory of a loved one. Highly recommend!

Niki the receptionist was very nice but ended up not getting my first tattoo since the artist today didnt seem like he was interested in my design nor my friends. It felt like he might have been put off by us being walk ins or the styles we had were not his forte. Will not be back. But would recommend for folks that like American traditional since there was exceptional artwork all around the establishment. Only added two stars cause Niki was dope.

I was so excited about having this covet up done and Sam taking on the job. She started out strong and I was happy with her artistic ability. Then she talked me into doing more than I planned for and we agreed on a price. I paid her and then each time I came I. To have more work done to it it went down hill from there. She didnt listen to me and placed everything I wanted some in different places and end result it just looks meteoker for what I paid for. Nothing matches and the realistic touch it had to it was destroyed at my last visit and there is no balance, no size scale, or actual sense of what I am permanently left with. I am just so disappointed in her work as a professional artist and feel very manipulated and like my tattoo was not important to her and she put no effort into it once she was paid and just rushed through it and didnt care how it turned out in the end.

I’ve been admiring Sam’s work online for awhile, so when I had to travel to Minneapolis from Canada, I decided to see if I could book something. Not only did they fit me in on short notice, Sam also did an incredible job with a gorgeous piece pre-drawn piece. The shop was clean, and when I felt briefly unwell after the tattoo, Sam took a lot of care to make sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend.

A week prior to my appointment, I had been emailing Sam about my tattoo idea. She had a beautiful drawing of exactly what I wanted when I came in for my appointment. However, it was a bit bigger than I was expecting, as I clearly underestimated the amount of amazing detail-work she put into the piece, and I think she sensed my hesitation. Instead of pushing me to get the tattoo, she very warmly insisted I give it more time and thought before I made such a big decision. In the end, I got a piece that was perfectly sentimental and captured the feeling I was chasing with my original grand idea, but in a more reasonable and delicate location. Sam is the epitome of professionalism, and took great lengths to make sure I wasnt making any impulsive decisions. The studio was also meticulous and very sanitary. Im coming back for you soon, all the way from California, for the big piece, Sam!

We had an outstanding experience with Sam. My BFF and I had been wanting matching tattoos for over a decade. We sent Sam a couple inspo images and she actually took the time, in advance, to draw us some custom art. It turned out to be absolutely perfect. We had back to back appointments and Sam was a pleasure to hang out with for like 3 hours whilst she tattooed both of us. I couldn’t recommend an establishment or an artist more highly.

I emailed to get a quote and was met with an almost immediate response. I was booked to get a piece done by their artist Jason, and I cant sing high enough praises. He got what should have been a four hour tattoo done in 2 and a half hours and the line work and details are CLEAN. This was my third tattoo, bit by far my best one. COVID protocols are being followed, the customer service is great and Jason is without a doubt the best Ive worked with. Efficient and the end result is incredible. Thank you guys.

Rachel is amazing!!! She did a cover up for me. She is a very attentive in the want and needs of her customers. She went above and beyond my expectations! I am beyond happy with the work she did for me. It is extremely painful but it’s well worth it once it’s all said and done! I can’t thank Rachel enough!!!

Rachael is the best! Been going to her for 15 years now. Really chill atmosphere and other great artists here too. Youre not going here for a bad tattoo, or a cheap one either. Not horribly expensive but you Def get what you pay for

I only go to Rachel. She listens to what you want and then takes it from there. Shes easy-going and makes you feel comfortable. I recommend her to anyone who is thinking about getting a tattoo.

My husband had gotten his tattoo here in the past, and it was great, so when my siblings and I wanted a tattoo we looked here. We had set up an appointment a week or two in advance for 5 people, for an incredibly simple tattoo (six dots, pictured). They tried to change the appointment time three times, and we rolled with it. When we finally got there, we worked with Lefty, but you could tell he was not in his right state of mind. He drew the tattoo on us, and then the first few of us got tattooed. It legit took 2 mins tops to do the tattoo, and we were going smoothly for three people. Then he took a dinner break that lasted a good 45-60 minutes, came back and tattooed one person, then disappeared again for another 30 mins until he came back and did the last one. Literally we could’ve been done if he had waited another 30 mins and just tattooed us. If we hadn’t had an appointment I would’ve been more understanding, but scheduling a dinner break in between that takes an hour when the tattoo itself takes

Everyone here is talented, approachable and really fun! Its nice to move to a new city and find a quality shop with artists that have talent without the ego. Its a super clean and relaxed environment. Adam Underwood is my artist of choice, but I would absolutely recommend any of them. Im so happy I found this shop!

I have had Rachael (my artist) do four tattoos now over the last few years. She is exceptional as an artist (will design tats based on your concepts), and put me at ease during the process. My last tattoo was a cover-over of an older tattoo. She helped me determined the right design to go over the former tattoo with, and it turned out even better than I was expecting. I highly recommend her.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to get a tattoo!!! Super clean! Super professional! And super great work! We did sister tattoos (3 of them) and they were amazing!! They took us even though we didn’t have an appointment and we went kind of late into the night but he still work until we were all finished and they all looked amazing!

I got a tattoo with Mark, I asked him for a calligraphy but he did another similar one. Although it wasnt the same calligraphy, I could get over it, what I didnt get over is that my tattoo was smeared and that cant be fixed. I had a presentiment that he was not the right person to tattoo me because I found him unpleasant but I wanted to do it so much that I did it and now I cannot go back in time for not having done it with him.

I called on Saturday and the person I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and seemed genuinely as excited as I was about getting a new tattoo! I sent in a sketch of what I wanted, was able to book an appointment for Monday (today) with Jason. The whole experience was comfortable, safe, and quick. I was in and out in 45 minutes! I was a little nervous at first but Jason helped me relax and he did a really awesome job with this design! Its simple and I absolutely love it. Don’t remember who I went to but she blew my rib tattoo out. Don’t get your ribs done here or anywhere that blows out easily. They don’t know what they’re doing and their “work” reflects it.

I had a appointment today at 5:00pm with Sam Ezra. I wasnt aware that her dog died but everyone in the shop knew besides me. You didnt let me know what happened with your dog you left me looking Stupid & dum thingin I was gone be in the chair at 5:00pm but I wasnt. That was very unprofessional and I was unsatisfied!!

Got my first tattoo here. My artist was really friendly and made sure he started the tattoo in the least painful spot it would be so I could get accustomed to it. He was very nice and patient through the whole process. I would definitely recommend!

About a year ago I got a tattoo with jason pate, i wanted a simple strawberry on my side and what i got was a very uncomfortable experience and a half black berry with the promise of it “lightening up” The conversation was centered around his “love of the female body and it’s curves” while he tried to persuade me to get a larger piece from him for a good deal, touching me and being pretty creepy quite frankly!!! I wouldn’t recommend him, especially to any young women who want to avoid feeling uncomfortable! I had a horrible experience and a subpar tattoo.

My boyfriend and I went in here on a whim to see if they had any halloween flash. They didnt, but we chatted with Jesse for minute and he sketched up a couple of pieces for us. We were excited to get in right away with custom pieces, and we couldnt be happier with how they turned out!

I am very good with paying tattoo artists what they want but i had a problem with how much i paid for a small moon tattoo. It was a group of 3 and we got matching and he said it would be $150 and we thought he was saying that it would cost that much altogether but it was $150 each smh.
