Due to our guy not doing tattoos anymore, we were on the hunt for a new artist and 10 out of 10 would recommend The House of Ink! Tony does amazing work! Very laid back atmosphere, friendly people, & all around good experience! Can’t wait to go back!

Brooks is the absolute best. Hes my go-to artist now! I will always recommend him to anyone who asks about my tattoos!

Brook did an AMAZING job on me and my mom’s matching tattoos. We wanted something really cute and unique for her birthday/Mother’s Day gift and Brook definitely gave us that. We had no idea how we wanted our tattoo to look and he helped us by making a beautiful sketch. On top of that, he’s a great comedian. I would recommend Brook 110%. Thank you for your amazing art☺️

No.. not clean lines, lines faded like out of ink. Sloppy wk. most of tattoo didnt come in and faded. He was in a hurry to get me out and my husband out. We both had appt an his was behind mine. This was my second time coming here. I felt staff in rush. This tattoo artist did not give me the full attn an service needed. Not happy. Lines fade not a good clean tattoo

Got a cartridge piercing. First time I have gotten pierced with a needle. It was so easy and painless, I will never again allow the use of a piercing gun. The woman was very professional and knew what she was doing. She gave me lots of information. I highly recommend this shop for piercings.

I had a tattoo done about less then a year ago for my mother that passed and the artist that did the tattoo decided for me to change colors instead of asking me. I asked if he could change the color light green to dark (because it would fade more over time ) and told me to wait till my touch up and it would be free.But yet I came back to get the touch up , they said only the same artist could do it .Which now I can’t get a touch up because I leave tomorrow and they don’t open till 12pm.I’m unhappy and unsatisfied, I have holes in my cross that are not filled nor straight lines. Wouldn’t recommend this parlor at all.Only if you want uneven lines and run around for a “free” touch up from your artist. Not to mention the women in the shop was a completely rude and not understanding. They just want your money. Worst experience everrrrrr!!!!! This tattoo was for my mom and they don’t even have enough respect to change some of there rules to satisfy a customer. I don’t live in johnson anymore and now I probably won’t have any luck coming back to get a touch up the next time.

This was definitely the best experience I ever had for a tattoo. Brooks did an excellent job creating the tattoo and made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. Brooks took his time and gave it full extreme detail. He makes you very comfortable and relaxed. I definitely recommend Brooks.

I checked all the places to get pierced from Monroe to Matthews and this was the only one that had a piercer who actually knew what she was doing and they have titanium and gold jewelry, all the other places used cheap steel. They had so much jewelry to pick from for getting pierced it was awesome. She made me so comfortable. And she taught me how to take care of my piercing, gave me a pamphlet of instructions, and made me a follow up appointment to come back to shorten my jewelry so it fits better and check to see how Im healing, I didnt even know about that, none of the piercing places have offered that before. She was awesome! I will never go anywhere else! The shop is brand new and so clean and her room is so calm and pretty. She even had fidget toys for my nerves!

One of the best experiences Ive had in a tattoo shop. Brooks was the best. Great with advice and recommendations. You can tell he enjoys sharing his talent with people. I have definitely found my go-to artist.

JT is genuinely such a joy to work with and I can’t recommend him or thank him enough. Such a nice laidback guy and does amazing work, I can’t even tell my new piece is a coverup. Most comfortable I’ve felt with an artist and it was a joy to talk to him during the session. The rest of the staff are awesome too; they were super supportive and friendly while JT worked on my half sleeve. Thank you all so much for the lovely experience!

The owner of Peaceful Piercer, Amber Hedrick, is the absolute best in the business. Her shop is lovely and absolutely spotless. She has a very calming demeanor with adults and children and her shop is a safe haven for anyone, whether you’re getting you’re first piercing or it’s one of many. She’s professional and her prices are great. She has beautiful selection of jewelry and will make sure feel great about your piercing. I would never go anywhere else!

I showed up to ask about a piercing recovery for my cartilage piercing. No one ever acknowledged me nor asked to help. All I wanted was to ask when I could schedule an appointment and the cost. The girl just sat there.

I first came to the shop to get a piercing. Amber was absolutely amazing. It was pretty much painless. So I was looking to get a tattoo and spoke to Tony. He set an appointment and when I got there he was ready to get started. I was amazed by his promptness. He did such an amazing job that I went back to see him a week later. I am completely satisfied with both tattoos and my piercing. I highly recommend this shop. The staff is very professional and the shop is clean!

Ive known J.T. since just after he opened...12 years ago or so. Hes got mad skills, works quickly and loves custom work. Hes also one of the best people Ive ever known.

Amber has done almost all of my piercings and she’s the best. She’s patient with me when I can’t quite decide what I want or where I want it. She’s super knowledgeable about what piercings will or won’t work on my body. I can always count on her to be honest and professional. I’m also very impressed with her COVID precautions and overall sanitary procedures. I feel very safe and can’t wait for more piercings!

Ive gotten all (but my first two lobes) of my piercings here and I am very happy with all of them! I am already planning on getting so many more done here! Amber is very quick and very comforting, she also gives good advise on any issues I may have had so thats always a plus! Also, she never denied me even though i got a few piercing at once so I can tell she is confident in her work, and she has the right to be! Lastly, they are relatively cheap compared to many other locations in Union County so I always recommend this place to anyone who asks!!!

I went in as a walk in for my first ever piercing besides my ear lobes (a monroe). I was extremely wary and nervous about it. Amber took me back and made sure I was happy with my placement beforehand. Even having to change it a few times. She talked me threw it. I got to watch her clean and open everything. She was extremely calm, patient, and friendly. Certainly knows what she is doing hands down. It was super quick and pain free. Highly recommend her, I will certainly be coming back for more! The entire process from sign in, jewelry choosing, actually being pierced, and walking out was less then ten minutes. I was super grateful for the experience she provided. Im so in love with my piercing, thank yall so much!!

I’m 24 years old and I’ve never had a piercing, so I was pretty nervous to get five all in the same day. Amber did an amazing job! She helped me get the placement just right, and my ears were perfectly even. She helped explain aftercare and made me feel at ease when it came time for the needle to go in. It’s day 2 since getting them and I’ve had no redness, bleeding, or swelling. I will definitely choose Amber if I ever decide to get more piercings in the future!

I was referred to this place by a friend. I ended up setting up an appointment with Brooks. He fit me in, and completed 2 amazing pieces of artwork for me. I have been tattooed a lot but Brooks is one of those guys who makes you relax and is able to bring your pieces to life. The black and gray rose he did from my collar bone to my shoulder looks so life like and the mountain range on the side of my foot is amazing. He is professional and his work is impeccable! Cant wait to get more work by him!

So happy with Amber and my piercing experience! I came to do both nipples, and it was quick, comfortable, the shop was spotless, and so easy to get signed in. I was in and out in 10 minutes! They look amazing! I’ve also gotten two tattoos done by Tony and I’ve gotten so many compliments! They really do work so hard to please others, and they’re extremely fair with pricing. Both nipples at other shops is $80! I paid half that! GO TO HOUSE OF INK!

I have been there numerous occasions and every single time I go, I get the same great treatment and courteous attitude. I have had several tattoos and all of the artists are the best! I have had multiple piercings and she is just AMAZING! She talks to you to calm you down if youre nervous and educates you as well. I did a walk in for regular lobe piercings. It was really clean and the over all experience was great! The piercer (Amber) was great! She opened the needles and studs in front of me and was really clean and made me feel really relaxed. It was my first time and definitely wont be my last! I will be back for my others piercings for sure!

JT was great to work with. My daughter and I got Mother/Daughter tattoos. I had an idea of what I wanted, she pretty much knew. He worked with us to get what we wanted. Funny enough to keep you comfortable but professional enough to do his job.

I’ve suffered from migraines all my life and was referred to Amber at the house of ink in Monroe, NC for both of my Daith peircings in my ears.Shop was clean, quite, relaxing and all around great atmosphere!5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From me First off because Amber pulled each individual needle and earrings out of their individualed packages in front of me. She’s very straight to the point and knows what’s she doing. Painless!I was very nervous 😬 while she was calm, collective & let me know when I would feel a poke and when it was done. I do highly recommend Amber for your piercing needs!

Very industrial and artistic decor. The service was great. We called ahead and the artist did a great job on creating what was wanted. It didnt take very long either. I would recommend this place to my friends. Friendly staff. Great artists in a creative relaxed atmosphere.

If you want the best tattoo experience around you need to go to the house of ink in Monroe. You wont be overcharged like 99% or tattoo shops, and you can actually have a conversation with the people that work there. Ive had tats done in a lot of places but will not go anywhere but the house of ink now.

House of Ink has the best artists in town. They have a very welcoming and friendly environment. All artists are hardworking and dedicated and make their art work come to life.They treat every customer with respect. I have been going here for several years and have never had a bad experience.

I had a horrible experience, I walked into this shop the look at portfolios and genuinely interested in their art, they treated me with disrespect and acted as if I wasnt supposed to be there, I then ask for portfolios or some demonstration of art and he tell me to check his instagram without even telling me the account name, when I proceed to ask, jt and his coworker ignored me and said nothing as if I werent speaking to them. this was a horrible way to treat a potential customer and I will never be going to this shop for ink. but hey if being disrespected and unacknowledged is what your looking for with your tattoo artist than this is the way to go!

Got 2 nose piercings. The last was very professional. I am from out of town so I am glad there is somewhere he that I could get it down. I highly recommend and would go again.

I went there to get my nose pierced and she was rude about it, we asked if we could get it done and she asked if we had an appointment in a rude tone, then when we went to get my nose pierced she rushed everything and when we where done she said nothing on how to take care of it except say we need to get a saline solution to wash around it. I will not be going back here again.

Its an okay place. I got a chest tattoo by one if the guys there. And it came out a but shaky. Like you can tell his hand wasnt steady.. so I guess its a hit or miss
