Got a flash tattoo from JT! He was a very skilled artist and super friendly. I highly recommend studio noir and JT!

I love my tattoo!!! My friend got her tattoo done here and I had been wanting to get a new one. The availability, the cleanliness, the friendliness. All of it it was a yes to book on the spot. JT is an amazing artiest, he did my friends tat, mine and my cousins and we will be going back to him for matching cousin tattoos. Amazing service, amazing artistry, cant wait to get more!

Start to finish a great experience. I dropped in while passing by on a Sunday afternoon. Hallie - the owner - greeted me warmly and took time to recommend an artist. I reached out to Mary and she got back to me right away. Within a few days, I had sent her my ideas and she confirmed a date. Mary did a great job on crisp, solid line work, which was important since it was a pair of straight parallel lines around my forearm. She was great to chat with and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend both Mary and Studio Noir!

Had such a wonderful experience at Studio Noir! Got tattooed by Laine who is fantastic: kind, creative, talented, incredibly patient, and great company. Plus I ADORE the tattoo. Photo is two weeks healed. Highly recommend!

So this place is amazing! A group of us came out from Washington Oregon and Southern California for a friends wedding. We decided last minute that some of us wanted to get tattoos. After calling around for 2 days with no luck due to having five people wanting last minute tattoos. Haley I believe her name was messaged me and said there was an artist named j.t. who had an opening and was willing to fit us all in today. They were both so kind and helpful with working around our rehearsal schedule today as well. All five tattoos came out amazing. Jt did such a great job with rapid fire semi custom tattoos for all of us. Mine was by far the largest with the moon phases down my spine. He even went way out of his way to stay a little late for me since mine was larger when he definitely already had gone above and beyond fitting us all in today last minute. Hes very personable and easy to talk too while your getting tattooed. I 100% would recommend this place. If I am ever back in town I will be coming back for another tattoo for sure. Overall everyone had a great time and love all their tattoos!!

JT accepted my walk-in appointment this evening and put his supper to the side to tend to me.He drew up the tattoo I had thought of in my head in no time AND touched up a rough tattoo I had that had lost some of its colour.I cannot say enough about this studio (after getting a number of tattoos from other shops) I would recommend JT and Studio Noir in the Oakland area

EVERY time I have gone into the shop in person has been a welcoming experience. I have had positive interactions with everyone each time I’ve come in person. The space itself has some awesome artwork through the shop.HUGE thank you to @mortalcoiltattoo for helping me make one of favorite YA Fantasy books now VISIBLY be a part of me! I appreciate that you listened to my input and also share your expertise when we were brainstorming too.Aaaand not for nothing but, we gotta make sure that we are supporting 💵 BIPOC creators!

Wonderful place with awesome artists and great flash art everywhere. If you get a tat from this place it speaks for itself hands down. Special shoutout to my artist Jiffy who can apparently do magic with a tattoo machine. Literally turned a sketch I brought in to life.

Great place, took me and my friend as walk-ins which is a rare commodity in Covid times. Alex did our tattoos and they look great! was so nice to find a queer / no-cis men shop where me and my bud didn’t have to worry about getting misgendered or harassed PLUS we get to support queer tattoo artists! totally recommend this spot and will go back soon

I had a truly wonderful experience with Speth. They were so friendly, very in tune with what I wanted and clearly wanted it to turn out right. I felt so confident in their skill and attention to detail. My piece was very small and simple, but they treated it with all the attention and importance of a larger piece. The place is clean, bright, and inviting. Speth made sure I was comfortable from the arm rest height to the type of music playing. They also worked within my budget. I will be back soon!

We were referred to Tessia by a friend. I just got diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. My friends wanted to get our friendship tattoos before I start treatment. Last minute we needed to get in so that I had enough time to heal before starting chemo. Not only did they get us in last minute for 5 people to get tattooed but Tessia and Hannah stayed late and after hours to give us my last hurrah before I start chemo this next week. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the warm welcome and accommodation that they gave us. My tattoo is perfect and will remind me to pull my inner strength from my family and friends in my upcoming journey while I fight cancer. In this terrifying time, having such a great experience with studio noir and Tessia making this moment happen in my life will forever be an amazingly bright spot in this scary time.~so much love from me and all my close friends

JT was awesome very light handed

Unfortunately I asked the young lady with the purple hair of this establishment was closed...she scoffed said yes it is and she turned promptly ignoring any follow up questions about appointments or availability. I was referred by a friend and this wasn’t what I expected. I’m a breast cancer survivor and I was hoping to get my scars artistically covered. Thanks anyway, hope the lady with the purple hair got to where she was in a rush to get to.

Honestly, got tatted here in February and it was not good at all! How and why do you have unprofessional and careless artists in your studio - other artists wont even cover up the pieceI got.

Very helpful. Was able to get a same-day appointment for a tattoo.

Love the folks there, exceptional talent!
