Been coming here for almost 2 years now working on the removal of my hand tattoos and it has been a delightful experience for such a painful process. Which they’ll take as many breaks as you need and are very caring while you’re being zapped. From my consultation to each and every appointment I have been excellently taken care of, explained through the whole process and about the lasers used at the appointment, provided aftercare packages and information and always set my appointment up from for next time. The hospitality and information is amazing with the kind ladies on staff here. They’ve made this process the best it could be and I always feel safe and welcome here!

Slowly but surely! The second photo is immediately after my 13th session at Removery. I had a ton of water color and a ton of white, so it’s been a long process but it continues to fade every day. I love seeing Jenny, despite the half hour of pain. It’s definitely worth the money and I’m very happy with the results. I can’t deny that it’s painful but it’s more tolerable than getting tattooed. I highly recommend Removery!

I am having a great experience so far. I am a tattoo artist with a large black-out tattoo around both my shoulders back and chest. I am getting the blackout-tattoo removed as well as other large tattoos. Ive had multiple treatments with no blisters and I am seeing fading alreadyn my black out! . The healing has been so much better than previous clinics that I have gone too. I used to blister terribly. Now I have no blisters. Removery has a much Safer approach and more effective method.

The process of getting removal started was super easy. I started it the same day as my consultation. It was so easy booking my appointment. They offer various packages and the price is affordable compared to plastic surgeon and skin care offices. The facility is super clean and has art all over the walls from various artists. I am on my 4th session at Removery and everything has been pleasant from my first booking to rescheduling and even communication for reminders. I cannot say enough good things about Removery tattoo in Pittsburgh. I got my throat tattoo last year. After it was finished, I felt my neck looked cluttered. Went down the rabbit hole of Google and was terrified to get this done because I read about really scary situations associated with it. First appointment after consultation, I sent myself into a panic attack for absolutely NO reason. 😆 The pain hurts less than getting the tattoo itself done. This place is a 10/10! I’ve had absolutely no issues with any of my sessions/healing process. Currently just finished my 6th session and am so thankful I chose this place. I researched many tattoo removal services, considered blacking out my hand, or covering it up. I struggled to figure out how I wanted to address my issue. I was getting to a point of just living with it. After giving up, I came back to the idea a year later and decided on Removery. The staff is so welcoming, and one of my favorite customer service experiences so far. Also, there is no feeling of judgement passed or remarks; everyone in the shop has tattoos, understands them, or values them just as much as I do. They treat you well, give you a little take home baggie with an ice pack to help with the irritation, and it’s easy to schedule. I picked the total removal package and I am so happy I did, I am 3 sessions in and on my road to a fresh canvas. Here is a shot from far before treatment, and this is after today. The line work is the hardest to remove, but they we will work with you and help you decide the best package for you!! Crazy Everytime I go on a removery one all the clients say 10-16 sessions... Like it should not take that long !! A average tattoo with a skilled person n good laser is 6-10 sessions. You guys really need to find another place.

I should have left this review already! I was in Pittsburgh visiting, checking out the city before I move there. I looked up Removery while I was there, as my current city does not have a location. I paid for my removal in full a couple of years ago, and I havent finished since I moved away from my city with a location nearby. I was excited about the idea of getting more progress made while I was in town, but I did not have an appointment. I was only there for 2 days, so I just dropped by on my first day to see if theres any chance they could get make an appointment for the next day. When I asked for an appointment and explained I was only visiting, they saw me that day! I wasnt expecting that and I certainly understand they cannot always do that, but they were so kind and they werent busy, so they were obliged to make sure I got a session in while I was in town.Front desk girl with lots of tats: You are so kind, I dont remember what the person next to you looked like, but I remember he was so kind too.They were professional, warm, friendly not pretentious at all. The laser tech was also so kind and friendly. Going in to any type of clinical setting like this whether tattoo removal, getting a tattoo, esthetics, a physician.. kindness and a friendly attitude is so important; especially at places where Ive paid that much money for a service (I still think what I paid was very reasonable!), I would hope kindness comes first always. Removery is INCREDIBLE!!! I was extremely upset when my tattoo didn’t turn out at all how I wanted it to, and less than a year later I turned to getting it removed. The staff here are super patient, understanding and kind, and they explained the process to me so well. They gave me an estimate on how many sessions it might take to remove, but my tattoo is the most difficult kind to remove since it was rather new and the artist really drove the ink in deep. I am so happy with the progress that’s been made and can’t believe how much it has faded already! Jenny (the manager) has always taken extremely good care of me and is very gentle with the laser, making sure I’m really numb before starting. They also stopped charging me for my sessions once we got past the original quote they gave me, which is a very honorable thing to do (and understandable as this process depends on so many factors with the tattoo). I couldn’t be happier with my experience here and they’ve come to feel like family to me. I will actually be sad once the tattoo is gone and I don’t have to go back! 😂

Jenny makes it so much easier because she does an incredible job of letting me know what to expect, giving me lots of options to make it more manageable (I love a before and after ice pack moment), and she is lovely to talk to so the removal flies by. The front desk staff are super kind, and make everything easy. Honestly it will be a little bit sad when I am finally done because I legitimately enjoy coming in and chatting with everyone. Everyone here also has tattoos, and is in the process of removing some (and many are adding more), so there is no judgement at all. For me, the process is pretty painful but it’s very quick so it’s not too bad. I love the results I’m seeing though! If you have a tattoo you want to get removed, you should go for it.. and definitely go here! Before and afters are about a year apart.

Pricey but very worth the cost. The staff were friendly, flexible, and generous with aftercare supplies. I never felt like I was being upsold. I feel like I received a fair estimate of how much work (and money) would need to be invested. The staff (especially Jenny!) took what could have been a purely painful, arduous experience and made it as comfortable and competently handled as possible. I was in great hands, would definitely recommend.

Anyone out there who has PMU eyebrows & has been wanting a safe removal option please don’t hesitate to book your consultation with Removery!! I went to the Lawrenceville location after I left a consultation for Saline removal with another company. During the my first consultation the wonderful woman who was working with me helped me to realize that I needed full brow pigment removal & “spot” reducing was not going to give me even close to the results I wanted. I was very concerned about doing that type of a removal over such a large section, I work with the public & couldn’t stand thinking of these two huge scabs on my forehead for two weeks to only need to repeat it several times! She actually recommended I consult with Removery, & I called as soon as I left, got an appointment & was in their office getting ready for my patch test within a half hour!! Everyone there was so wonderful, Giovanna checked me in & was so helpful & nice! She had great advice & even recommended a future PMU artist if needed! John consulted with me & really put me at ease while answering all my questions & assuring me about the safety of the procedure, & Jenny was the woman who actually performed the procedure & you will just fall in love with her! She gets just as excited as you do to see your results already happening right in front of our eyes!! I have never felt that comfortable in a chair for a personal service!! She was easy to talk to, so very sweet, not judgmental & completely professional!! The whole experience honestly felt too good to be true!! I am so thankful to be in their care during this journey to get “my” face back!! Oh & I have blackish eyebrow hairs & they did not fall out, burn or turn white for reference, & the minor skin redness was gone within two hours! There is really no “down time”!! I hope this helps someone else who needs this service get into the right hands!:)

I had my consultation and first appointment today and I couldn’t be happier! I filled the form out online, they called me and texted me super quickly. Got me set up for a consult the same day and had time to do my session too! Every was so kind and really cool and easy to talk to. The process honestly didn’t hurt NEARLY as badly as I thought it would. It was incredibly quick too! They were super thorough when explaining everything and they worked with me to get a payment plan set up. Incredible experience start to finish and I cannot wait to continue to see my progress. Love, love, love this place! For as painful as the actual removal is, I still look forward to my appointments. The girls are all so friendly and easy to talk to and Jenny always makes our sessions as quick and painless as possible. I’m getting an entire half sleeve removed and each session has been less than 15 minutes (keep in mind that’s without breaks). I would never go anywhere else for tattoo removal. 10/10 would recommend them!

Staff is absolutely awesome with their knowledge about pre care and after care. They use all top of the line equipment which results in fantastic fading and complete removal of my tattoos. Love this place so much!

Always a very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Very clean shop with the latest anti tattooing technology on a constant update cycle. They have great communication via a variety of mediums as well. Their hours are copious enough they can accommodate most any schedule. Though they specialize in removal (anti tattooing) they all have a variety very nice tattoo pieces on them. From this they can recommend quality PGH artists to replace the very tattoos they remove since local artists are often coming in for their own removals pretty frequently. I hope to not be back much as I am done soon with my own removal, but it is always a great experience regardless.

Removery on Butler St. in Pittsburgh is the absolute best. The staff at this location are always so welcoming/kind and Jenny (the gal that has done my last 3 tattoo removal sessions) is incredible. She’s informative and somehow makes the experience less painful than what I’ve experienced at other Removery locations. I totally recommend this location - even if it’s out of your way! (This is a 4 hour drive for me but we always make a trip out of it and visit family in Pittsburgh). Ask for Jenny!

I had an excellent experience at Removery... Geovanna explained the procedure and carefully set my expectations for the process along with follow-up procedures so I wasnt walking into any unknown outcomes before scheduling my first session.On the day of the first procedure, Jennie briefed me further on the process and all steps throughout the recovery I could anticipate over the following week. She then began the procedure, which took very little time even on my large tattoo. I found the discomfort to be very manageable.The entire process including the consultation took an hour or less and was so simple.Id easily recommend this for anyone looking to clear their skin of a poor quality tattoo!

Ive been working with Jenny to get a number of tattoos removed since before the shop merged with Removery. Jenny is (and always has been) the most talented and caring laser removal tech. She is deeply knowledgeable about the machine, its capabilities, and dialing in to get the best results. The updated machines they use are way less painful than old ones; these hurt the same or less than getting the tattoo in the first place. And Jenny honestly cares about the experience youre having. She ices the area before starting, lets you take as many breathers as you need (and re-ices in between), and is super encouraging and communicative throughout the sessions. If I had known about her sooner, I would not have waited so long.

Just amazing from start to finish! Everyone is super nice, they make the process enjoyable. Almost like youre going to hang out with friends. Super knowledgable and incredibly helpful. I’ve visited this place a few times for a tattoo removal. From start to finish they’re amazing. Sent a message to them via email and got a phone call a couple hours later with all the information I needed to make an appointment or to just go over the procedure.I scheduled for an appointment, they went over everything with me in person. The technician is amazing too!! She gave me a few test snaps to prepare me for how it would feel. Even though it’s pretty painful, she was as gentle as possible and made it as comfortable as she possibly could. Do yourself a favor, if you have ink you don’t want, make an appointment!!!

Ive been extremely pleased with my experience so far. I just completed my fifth session today and am expecting to need 5-7 more for a full removal. Jenny has been my clinician since Ian left for the Hawaii location. From the start, everyone has been so kind and straightforward about the process. The cost of removal can be quite daunting, but the Removery package is allowing me to pursue full removal of two tattoos with much less stress.

Removery, previously Disappearing Ink, has been fantastic and easy to work with in removing one of my tattoos. Their business is clean, the employees are courteous and efficient, and what is probably portrayed as a generally not fun experience is (generally) painless (on your tolerance of course) and easy.After my tattoo is removed, I hopefully never have to go through this again. But if I did, and if you or someone you know is looking to get a tattoo removed or faded for cover up, I cannot recommend this place any more highly and would give them my business again for sure.

I was nervous at first but my fears were put at ease Shortly after having spent in just a few minutes with The front desk receptionist.Not to mention the actual removing of the tattoo… The machinery is fantastic… It does stink of it but I have notice just after two treatments that it has significantly faded and I have faith that it will completely disappear.I am so happy that I found this awesome place with such fabulous employees.

I have been treated @ the Philadelphia Removery location in the past & I utilized the Lawerenceville location while in Pittsburgh for work training. John & Giovanna greet all clients in a friendly, personable manner upon arrival. Jenny personally greets her clients as well as she brings them back to the treatment room for their removal process.Lawerenceville studio has so much personality. The facility is clean & comfortable and they’ve decorated it with local artists artwork which makes it stand out.Jenny explains treatment procedures in a very detailed manner and makes sure to ask clients if they have questions to ensure everyone is on the same page prior to starting the removal process. Obviously tattoo removal is a bit spicy & nerve racking, but Jenny has excellent bedside manner and is a great hype girl as well.10/10. Would recommend this studio.

One I wanted to lightened for a cover-up and the other I wanted to remove. Jenny gave a quote, estimated timeframe, and details on what to expect based on the age of the tattoos, quality/color of ink, size and location. I waited a while to decide and scheduled an appointment - absolutely no hassle in the meantime. Scheduling is easy and all appointments have been organized and on-time. The facility is clean and professional. Jenny has been great at explaining the process, answering any questions, and making you comfortable during the process. Results have been fantastic! I had two treatments on the shoulder tattoo and they recommend checking in with your cover-up artist to see if additional treatments are necessary. Ive had three sessions on the other one I want to have removed completely and its breaking up nicely. You can also bundle a few sessions together in your payment. Their estimates on number of sessions is spot-on, so buying a few treatments at a time works out to your advantage. Great job all around - very happy with Jennys work - glad I finally got the ball rolling!

Looking into getting my tattoo removed was quite the decision for me. It had sentimental value but I wasnt really happy with keeping it on my body forever. That is when my boyfriend and I started looking into places that removed tattoos. After various sites and reviews we found Disappearing Ink. Not only were the reviews great but SO many people had attended this location. Taking a leap we scheduled a consult and they were able to get us in NEXT DAY! I had such a wonderful experience at removery! The folks at the front desk were all soo sweet and accommodating and really made sure I felt safe and at home! The removal process was super speedy and they made sure to book me in for my next session before I left. They even gave me a goodie bag with everything I would need for aftercare. An added bonus; as a tattoo artist — the removal is completely free! I’ll absolutely be back!

I just had my first session today and this place is 5 stars and beyond. I brought my aunt with me and from the moment we entered , the whole staff did nothing but make us feel welcomed . Jenny was absolutely phenomenal. You can tell she knows her stuff and has a great personality . She explained everything so thoroughly and made us feel comfortable. I cant wait to go back and I am so glad I chose disappearing ink as my new place . :)

Fantastic experience! Wes was very clear with how many treatments, how to take care of my skin post laser, and how the whole laser removal works! I definitely saw a difference after my first time! I have a sleeve that will take about 8 treatments however I’m excited to see where each appointment takes me! I highly recommend to anyone who just doesn’t want to look at that tattoo anymore!

I have had a few sessions of laser removal at a different establishment. Removery how ever is up to date on the latest and greatest technology. The medical grade ice packs prior to laser treatment and the cooling air they use while youre being lasered, is a HUGE HELP. Makes the world of difference. Not to mention the people that work there are very pleasant as well as personable. It really was a great experience.

Everyone there is so wonderful at the Lawrenceville location. They’re always so kind, honest, professional, and accommodating. So far I’ve had 4 sessions and I’m very excited about my results. The only place I’d trust for tattoo removal.

The removery asks everyone to leave a review their first or second visit instead of waiting till after ink is actually removed…. I’m sure if they waited they wouldn’t have a 5 star rating. After a dozen appts and promises of being able to be completely removed we are at a stand still and the tattoo will no longer fade and the scar tissue from the laser is atrocious…. I wish I would have done more research on what was actually possible because this is worse…

Had my first appointment today to remove permanent makeup. I can’t say enough great things about my experience! The location was great, the atmosphere was relaxing, the staff was amazing and Wes (the owner) was so knowledgeable and kind! He made sure I was comfortable and walked me through the process. Highly recommend them!!!

Just had my first visit to Disappearing Ink in Lawrenceville, and am very impressed. The new store is fantastic... very well lit and nice treatment rooms. But the best part is the staff.Wes is the owner, and was also my laser technician. He did a great job of explaining the procedure, including the effect of the different colors of ink and their corresponding reaction to the different laser wavelengths. He also showed numerous previous examples of work he has actually performed with tattoos that were similar to mine, and discussed the potential number and frequencies of treatments that would likely be required based on those previous tattoo removals. And he also discussed the different payment options and what might be right for me.Treatment was over relatively quickly, with the overall actual treatment time on the order of at most 15 minutes. There is some stinging involved, at least with my chest tattoo, but icing it before the treatment definitely helped to numb the pain, and I thought it easily bearable. And Wes explained that follow-up sessions would be less painful as more and more of the ink was broken down and the tattoo faded.After the session, Wes then reviewed the potential after effects to expect, and how to treat them in the event they arose.All in all, an excellent new option, location, and staff for removing those tattoos you no longer want or need.

Had my first visit to Disappearing Ink the other day and it could not have gone any better. Wes was really friendly and open to explaining everything to me thoroughly along the way. The session went really fast, and was not as painful as expected either. Im a few days out now from my first removal session and havent had any adverse reactions or pain at all other than some minor blistering which is normal.The location in Lawrenceville is super nice and clean, and they even offered a discount for purchasing multiple sessions at once. Would recommend to anyone looking to remove or lighten a tattoo!

I’m a travel therapist and had switched locations due to my new work assignment. The girls at this location are fantastic and always make me feel at home. Their office is clean and inviting. My tattoo is almost completely faded and I can’t wait to be able to get married without my teenage tattoo staring me in the face in my photos! My mother also says they having jamming music!

I went yesterday for my first removal session. I was greeted at door with a welcoming smile, introduced to Jenny who was actually going to do my removal. She is was extremely patient and understanding of my anxiety about getting the laser, she kept me calm, gave me juice 🧃 and walked me through every step. Was it painful? Ya it stung but it was extremely quick. I did purchase a numbing cream that I will use next time before I go to help but it was super fast and I had 3 done at same session. I’m glad I came here, I’m a big baby with pain and Jenny was so supportive and calm and patient with me. Plus it’s only been one day and I see a dramatic difference already, I’m excited to see what happens over the next few weeks.

This place is freaking amazing, I mean as soon as I walked in I felt like I was going to receive a great session! When I got into the room I was informed about how it works and told I was going to be numbed before treatment! I mean it hurts a little (kind of like a rubber band sting lol) but other than that it was a breeze! I will be returning for more treatments!!!

I decided to get the black ink on my lower arm and wrist lightened enough so I could get a cover up to make a full color sleeve. It was all pretty dark. These pictures are after 1 treatment a few weeks ago. My friend got tattoos completely removed from Disappearing Ink so I figured I would give it a try. Totally worth it! It was about the same cost as an average tattoo appointment for me. I’ll have to go back 1 or 2 more times probably, but it will be worth it after it’s done. Jenny was absolutely amazing through the whole process. Super nice, professional, and she conversed through the entire process. She made recommendations, explained everything to me really well, and answered all my questions. She really knows what she’s doing, and has a lot of knowledge with everything involved. This did hurt slightly worse than getting tattooed, but with the ENTIRE process I was in and out in about 15 minutes. That’s walking from my car, filling out paperwork, talking for a a few minutes, her setting up, doing the removal, talking some more, and then paying, and walking back to my car. If you want something removed I highly recommend these guys. I’m highly impressed with the progress after just one treatment. I’ve read horror stories about the pain online, so I was a little unsure, and like I said it was a little worse or maybe just “different” than a tattoo, but it all happened so fast it really just wasn’t that bad at all. I’ll post pictures after my second treatment.

Jenny suggested hitting one with the laser to see how it would react and it lightened to the perfect shade so I came back and we hit them all! I was made so comfortable and its obvious the staff here knows their stuff! I ended up booking time to remove a larger piece on my arm that didnt come out well so I can cover it up more easily! So excited with the progress weve made so far.
