Went in to return a purchase from the Claire’s in another location. The receipt was a bit hard to read so Ashley handed me the receipt back informing me I had to drive 45 minutes to the original store to return. What?! I have been a corporate retail manager. I know there was a way around this and asked that she find a way. She sighed and acted like I just asked her to fly to the moon. I get it. You have budget to hit. But I was treated very rudely and felt dismissed. Thank goodness for her co-worker who made an effort to take a guess reading the receipt so my return could be processed. I gave 2 stars because of her. If you don’t like your job or people, consider a career change.

I made 2 visits to the Woodbury location in one week. They were all horrible. On a Saturday I took my girls to pierce their ears. There was a sign on the door stating back in 30 minutes. We sat across the street and waited to see the employee return. She didn’t return until 45 minutes after we arrived. My girls were already standing at the door waiting and watched the employee make eye contact with them, unlock the door, walk in and lock the door again. Unreal!!! We returned the next day, walked in and the same gal was getting ready for a piercing. We waited 30 minutes in the store without her saying one word to us. When she was done with the customer, I let her know my girls would like piercings. She asked if we had an appointment. I stated there isn’t a sign to make an appt. She then said she had an appointment for a piercing in 15 minutes and that we would have to wait until after that appointment!!!! We were shocked and walked out! I immediately called the Maplewood location and asked if we needed an appointment and she said no it is walk in! Find a job you enjoy people… customer service is key to returning customers!

I took my granddaughter here to get accessories for back to school. Claires used to be packed with jewelry, hair accessories and trinkets. This store was near empty. I would think they sold out and were in process od restocking, but there arent very many display racks about...none that were empty.they just dont have much of anything.

Ordered items yesterday online and was told items are ready for pickup today. Online the hours for the store are open till 6:00 p.m. Sundays arrived at store around 4: 30 pm to find that the store was closed without any notice. No hours are posted on the door or window to tell me what the hours of operation are. This was a complete waste of a trip and a real big inconvenience. Guess I will try tomorrow in hopes they are open.

Amazing service ! Super fast & great quality . She even drew my daughter’s name on the care bag for her ! Will definitely be returning .

We took our 6 year old to Claire’s today to get her ears pierced. The woman attending us was very comforting and helpful. The process was as painless as possible and all in all a fun time. Thank you to the friendly staff - job well done!

My 6 month old daughter got her ears pierced today by Alanna. Our experience could not have been better! Alanna was lovely, the process was clean, and efficient. Alanna provided excellent customer service and exceeded all expectations.

Made two trips here to pick up my holiday online order today. The door had a hand written sign on it at 2:45pm saying they’d return at 4pm. I returned at 4pm, still not open. It’s now 30 minutes later and it’s still no one. What a waste of time. Five other people checked the store as well during the 30 minutes I waited. Tried calling the store phone and no answer. Now I get to make a 3rd separate trip, out of my way, tomorrow. Please don’t leave a note with a time if you don’t intend to be there.

I’ve seen the reviews for this place and was concerned but I went in today a bit before 11 and they were open and I had the most pleasant worker help me pierce my ears. They were very sweet and maybe this was luck on my part or maybe they’ve got a better crew after all the bad reviews. Either way I hope if more folks have a nice interaction they will mention it.

I was greeted, had good service, and the product I wanted was in stock. Instantly when I walked in I had a “welcome to Claire’s!”I did notice a paper sign on the door with hours and an apology- not the folks that were working there’s fault. They were working hard and were very kind! I’d recommend calling before going there to verify hours.The store itself appears to be grossly understaffed and in desperate need of help/cleaning/stocking.If you are using Claire’s for ear piercing services…I think that is a “you” problem and you need to evaluate why you are using a piercing gun versus a professional piercer. Yes, it’s a service they offer. But should you use it? Probably not.

I made an appointment online for 1:00 for my 6 year old. I even specifically talked to someone who said ok great, see you at 1:00. We were early and came to the door locked with a sign saying on lunch, be back at 2:00 I tried calling 3 times and nobody would answer. I was absolutely upset!! My daughter was so excited and to be let down was very unprofessional and upsetting

Awful! I would also give a zero if it was an option. Fourth day we have tried to go to the store when they said they are open and they are not open. We then made an appointment, showed up for said appointment, to find the doors locked. Once a worker showed, they relocked the doors, so we called the store for them to rudely tell us that they are not sure why someone would make us an appointment since they are not open. We said your posted hours state they are open, and the worker yesterday also told us you are open at this time. We will NEVERRRRRRR COME BACK AGAIN. Our kid is in tears since this is the fourth day we have had something like this happen. They couldn’t even call us to tell us something had changed. And the flat out rudeness makes us realize from other reviews this is a common occurrence. Additionally, while waiting for them to arrive we watched 27 different people try to go into the store at their stated open times. The mall should kick them out of Woodbury lakes.

Made a 1:00 appt for ear piercing. Arrived and door was locked. No sign was posted with hours. Called multiple times with no answer. Very frustrated and horrible customer service, do not recommend.

I went into the Claires today to get my granddaughter and myself ear piercing and the Manger and only person in the store was wonderful!...I have to say that Claires needs to redo some staffing issues..I think there should always be 2 people working in the store especially on a weekend and on Holidays!!..The place was very busy and she handled herself in a very professional manner!..Dont take advantage of her and leave her alone without help!!..Her name is Alanna Engler!

Alanna did a great job piercing my toddlers ears. She was gentle, informative, and very patient. Thank you!

We drove here from WI to have my daughters ears pierced. We looked online prior to our drive and verified they were open until 7:00 pm (see below ). My daughter arrived at 6:30 to see 3 other customers looking confused when they realized the doors were locked - when I arrived I took a screen shot of the time and what the hours are supposed to be. A little before 7:00, we watched an employee attempt to slip out the front door assuming no one would see her.I don’t usually leave reviews but my daughter was crushed when she realized this meant she wasn’t going to have her ears pierced. For this reason, I think it’s important to make people aware the hours depend on when the employees decide their done working for the day and in turn, hopefully prevent another kid from experiencing the same.

If I could give it a zero I would. I accommodated them by rescheduling appointments for piercings, got confirmation emails and texts letting me know that our appointments were coming - all day up until our time slot. We get there at our appointment time and the lights are off and the doors were locked. You made my child cry. Thanks for that 😑 just close the location…

Horrible !! This is the only word I can use for my experience at this store. I was there for purchase with my kids, my baby was fussy so tried to grab something hurriedly, and instantly got yelled by a store person name MATALYN, to appologize to her coz my hand was in front of her face. She kept yelling on top of her voice to proove her point. She was telling all customers about it just to make her feel good and show how she is right. OK, I should have said excuse me but after seeing her manners I am glad I did not, coz that lady was manerless. She kept shouting and expressing her anger for long time , she needs some anger management lessons for sure. My 5 yr old was waiting to shop at Claires but seeing that lady my daughter was super scared . Such people should NEVER be in public relations, keep your anger and superioirity complex at your HOME !!

I just want to say that on 7/9/2022 around 4pm I took my two daughters 6 months and 5 years to get their ears pierced and we had the most friendly and best experience ever. The two staff that was there were so gentle, soft spoken and patience with my girls. I wish I had written their names because they made my 5 years old daughter Second attempts ears pierce the best. My 5 years old was traumatized from the 1st time we took her to pagoda in maplewood mall bc they wanted me to force my daughter and pin her down so she screamed her head off until I told them no. But these two staff thatd help us today listen to our story and made our experience the best and I didnt even had to hold down my daughter which I wouldnt anyways bc its her choice and I wanted her to make sure she was ready herself. They definitely deserve employee of the month, if theres such thing there.To the employees whom helped us. Thank you both so much for listening to our past experience and made our experience with you guys the best weve had. Thank you for listening to my daughter, letting her tell you guys that she indeed is ready herself and not trying to pin her down or force her like the employees at pagoda. I wouldnt change anything about this experience we had. So thank you both! I wish I knew your names!

Horrible customer service. Went there for a piercing and were told they were closing early. When asked why they were closing early, the girl working said in a snotty voice “um, because I have a family life”. Never mind the fact that with a store full of customers, the girl working never even stopped texting on her phone to talk with customers. Will gladly give my money to any other jewelry store other than Claire’s.

They are randomly closed in the middle of the afternoon. No sign; no apology; no explanation

I had Hannah she was Great but very talkative, I love my piercing and it was awesome. I also interacted with Katie she was supper kind and funny. Great store except it took forever.

No one ever showed up to work and there is 8 ppl standing at the door 30min after they were suppose to open and still no one here. 12/21/23

My 22 yo daughter had a 3rd piercing done on August 2nd and Renae was amazing!! Excellent customer service, seems to really enjoy her job! I didnt catch the name of her coworker, but she was great too!

Donavan was so helpful assisting me in my ear piercing process! One of the kindest and most helpful associates I’ve ever ran into! I highly recommend coming to this store:)!!

It says online they open at 10am. Was there at 10:15am while I was in the area, and they were closed. It says online the hours were updated a week ago, so I thought it was current. However, the hours posted on their door say they open at 11am.I previously tried a different location, and it said they were open until 6pm. I got there are 4pm and they were closed. Shouldnt be this hard to run an errand - cant find a location that is open when it says it is.

The service is passive at best, she knew we were in a rush but decided to stop halfway through my transaction to have a conversation with her coworker. She repeatedly sighed at me and gave me looks of distaste and it was a rather unpleasant experience, especially when I was then refused service because I didnt have an ID. Ive shopped at multiple locations, including this one, and Ive never once needed my ID to purchase some freaking earrings.

Horrible. Please do not go here to get your ears pierced! The girls working were nice enough, but clearly had no idea what they were doing. I was meant to be getting my doubles and triples pierced and couldn’t even finish. The first time they used the piercing gun it didn’t go all the way through and only half-pierced my ear. It was super painful. One of my double piercings was so far from my first and the other one nearly touching. I did not go through with the triple because the doubles looked so bad. I cried when I got home. My left ear was so so swollen and red. Both ears got infected. Two months later, they still haven’t healed and the left ear randomly started bleeding- a lot. I have been caring for them properly and using the cleaning solution two times a day and still nothing. Please. Do not go here for piercings. It is the same price to just go to a tattoo salon and save yourself all the trouble and pain.

JUST PLAIN AWFUL & RUDE - Booked & was confirmed for a piercing appointment at 4:30pm on 1-17-23 and upon arrival the place was not open, doors locked, no one answering phone & I Rec’d no courtesy status call. Don’t waist you time & gasoline on this location.

I was having trouble with my cartilage piercing because it’s been infected for so long. The worker, Katia, was very very helpful! She told me exactly how to deal with it :) Amazing customer service.

I had hanna. It was a really great experience, she did exactly what i asked for, i loved her vibe, and made sure i was happy with all the piercing spots. She made me comfortable and I really enjoyed.

Went to this location yesterday evening to re-pierce my daughters ear. I was quickly told the Claires policy 10x that they are not authorized to re-pierce ears...seriously? I think the girl working was just lazy, as we were greeted and re-pierced with NO issues (& for FREE) at the Maplewood Mall Claires less than a half hour later! Woodbury, Shmodbury.

I bought a package of nose rings from here and I have already had to throw 4 of them away! The little stone keeps falling out of them and Im not even bumping or rubbing my nose. Im very disappointed I spent $20 for nose rings and I only get to wear one for a few days and the stone falls out. Ive never had this issue at Claires before but I will tell you I am never purchasing nose rings from Claires again!

The manager is extremely rude and impatient. Me and 3 other families walked out of the store because she was piercing people for 45 minutes reglecting the customers who were waiting to check out or get jewelry from the locked cases.

It says the store opens at 11:00. It is 11:45 and there is nobody in the store. Fed Ex just came to the door with about 4 boxes only to find the doors are locked and had to carry them back to his van. Poor business.

Should update your hours on your website so people don’t show up when you guys are closed…just a thought, a little courteous to other peoples time

This location is seriously one of the worst! I went in there and wasnt greeted, the girl was on her phone behind the counter and not paying attention. I went in there to find some stuff for my up coming wedding and I couldnt find a damn thing!

Tuesday July 10th at 10:30am and no one is here to open store. Been waiting outside with my little girl since 10am! Store hours are 10-9. So ridiculous.

The lady that works here is awesome very nice and does her best since she is the only worker
