Super nice shop, very cool building history being its 2 old train cars. Super clean....from consultation to finished production I loved this shop. The environment, the quality of people...everything. I gave Brandon some input and I didnt see the design until the day I got there (I was nervous is probably an understatement)....he blew it out of the park. I went from not getting a tattoo for 10yrs to wanting tattoos again. Look at the portfolios of this shop and the things they have done and trust them....they will not disappoint. NAZ REID. I learned about this tattoo shop by inadvertently finding one of their artists on Twitter with their Naz Reid tattoo promotion. As soon as my kid & I entered the shop we could tell we were in a cool space as the interior architecture was stuff that you just dont see anymore. The artist that I had an appointment with, JC, greeted us warmly and with enthusiasm which is always a great way to set the tone for a tattoo appointment. After the usual & quick paperwork we were walking back to the artists booth. He made sure that my kid & I were both comfortable and he got to work. JC & I chatted about all things Minnesota during our brief appointment together, including the great Minnesota Timberwolves. JC landed the stencil of my Naz Reid tattoo perfectly parallel to the bottom line of my pre-existing Minnesota outline tattoo just as I wanted. I was in & out in less than 30 minutes which was my allotted tattoo timeframe. Theres no doubt that I will come back in the future for more tattoos, and Id love to get more from JC. Undoubtedly one of my best tattoo experiences ever from the moment I walked in the building to the moment I walked out the door.

I had a great experience start to finish with Kayden and Karis at Beloved Studios. From scheduling to email correspondence to design to appointment day, everything was professional, respectful, friendly and high quality. I came to them with a design I wanted that was small but meaningful and well thought out. Not once did anybody try to change it or upsell me on anything. Kayden was beyond patient getting the font just right and the finished product is gorgeous. He did it in about 3 minutes and spent a good amount of time on care instructions. I will be back and my girls want tattoos from there now. Highly recommend!!

Marika killed it. She put in a lot of real work in the form of consult, redraw, placement, and and last minute adjustments before the gun even hit the skin. Too many good things to say. I knew I loved it, but when I got a closer look at the work, I was blown away. Excuse the coverings on the pics. Its a day after the works was done. Will update after full healing.

Super professional and relaxed shop. They play awesome music while tending to whatever needs you may have. In order to make sure youre as relaxed as possible. The artists there are brilliant while each one has their own techniques and artistry to tend to whatever style you want. I definitely recommend this shop. I have been to multiple places, and this one by far is the best.

Jesse was an amazing artist! He did so well in all areas, and the other artists in the shop were also super easy to talk to, and very hospitable! 10/10 would recommended coming here for anything you may be wanting!

I had Dan do a photo realism turtle tattoo on my arm. Wow, so amazingly well done. The details and colors show such percision and experience. If u want perfection Dan is the man that you are looking for.

I loved this studio, my artist Dan, and the tattoo I got! The building is really cool inside, with neat wood features, little lounge areas, a fish tank and of course the tattooing stations. Unlike many studios Ive been in, there was no loud music. Dan and I watched Family Guy instead, and he was quick to ask if I wanted something else and made sure I was happy and entertained. Dan was considerate, worked surprisingly fast, and the result was gorgeous... exactly what I wanted! I will definitely be back!

Love the aesthetic of this place Beloved Studios is part Tattoo Shop and part art gallery and all awesome. It is so much fun to walk around and take a look at Brandon and the other artist fantastic work all over the walls. My wifes tattoo artist, Seth Mcbeth did an amazing job! He pulls some of the cleanest lines if seen. Truly fantastic work from a very impressive shop.

Lol I already made a review but I came back for another tattoo and I’m just in love with this shop. My second tattoo from Marika and I absolutely adore her. This goes out to the people who have anxiety this shop is for you! Social anxiety and just nervous of needles please come to this shop cause I’ve never felt so welcome and reassured before. Got to talk with Marika the whole time and felt really calm and comfortable with her! I will be coming here probably for all my tats lol. I felt I was really cared for and received honesty. Which some shops just want ur money and slap on the tattoo but coming here you get to hear how ink is on the body and what your tattoo could look in the future. What sizing can do. I also got to meet some of the other artist and they were all very nice and interested in my tat. Imma keep hyping up this place fr I have recommended it to a lot of people. Thank you so much for an amazing experience and happy to make more adventures here!

I went to Benny for my first ever tattoo and when I went in I had some idea of what I wanted but I could not explain it the best. He took my idea and created a master piece! He created something that I only could have imagined and not only that he added new ideas that I did not even think about. His tattooing skills are amazing I wanted a realistic dark piece and it came out better than any other tattoo Ive seen before. I am so happy with the outcome and I definitely recommend coming here if you want a great well thought-out piece.

I consider him not only my artist but also now a new friend. Beloved Studios is such a beautiful, clean, and welcoming space. I ended up scheduling my appointment a few months in advance. To me, thats a good sign that there is a lot of clientele, and I can say that it is well worth the wait!I got my last tattoo done by Peter, and he was a literal joy to work with. From start to finish, he was always patient, was happy to adjust and work with the artwork and design that I wanted, and his linework is so so SO beautiful. You can tell he is invested, which is always assuring! Spending time on the table was easy with good conversation, like chatting with an old friend. I would 10/10 recommend this studio and Peter as your artist! I know Ill be back!

I was beyond amazed how much I loved this shop. The environment is super cozy and feels like entering a comforting home vs an old school tattoo shop. Carissa was my artist and she was beyond patient/kind. I loved her designs and it was great to collab with her on my pieces. I will definitely be getting future designs/work with Carissa again. The shop manager was extremely friendly, the artists were all enthusiastic about their work, and the shop was very clean. I went in for my first ever tattoo and they really went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and relaxed. The actual tattoo turned out fantastic, Benny is amazing! This shop is just flat out and 100% outstanding. I’ve been to many other tattoo places where artists were cold and you just felt so awkward walking in. Beloved is honestly one of my favorite places to be, everyone is so genuine and caring and every single artist in there is amazing at what they do. The wait to get tattooed by one of their artists is SO worth it. This is the only place I will get tattooed, end of story!

I chose Beloved Studios based on Google Review and Yelp Review. Now, I would like to give a pitch of my own experience. The studio is very nice and cozy with very welcoming staff members. More importantly, they have a various artists Galleries on their website, which related each artist style and design. I would recommend that you should check before hand, hence, you know who would fit best for your design. For me, I had Travis as my artist to finish up my half sleeve Polynesian tattoo on my right arm, as I knew that he had done some works on them before. He is very a skillful artist and suggested me a few improvisation , which helped to make my previous design look even better! I would highly recommend this studio to everyone. Pro Tip: Try to get a consultation and make an appointment as early as possible. As for me, it took almost 3 months for my appointment for a 4-hours session. Well, worth the wait!!

My friend and I had our first tattoo experience here today with Seth. We came in with a good idea of what we each wanted, and Seth went over the designs with us and walked us through how to make them better and more fitting for a tattoo format. We thought they looked good on paper, and with his guidance they look even better on skin! Seriously a down to earth and cool person too!The shop itself was very clean, well lit, and had an open layout. It had an awesome vibe all around. Cool artwork and decor everywhere. Everyone on staff that we met was very friendly and made it a great experience. We got to talk with a couple other patrons there and they had nothing but good things to say.Honestly being newbies we didnt exactly know what to expect, but everything went perfect. Seth was awesome, the staff was awesome, the tattoos came out better than the artwork we brought in, everything was awesome.Thanks!

I love the new place! And its easier to get to during the state fair. Dan did my tattoo 12 yrs ago and I love that he is still there. I got my tat touched up today and they still have the welcoming, relaxing vibe while of course being professional. Good prices too. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a tattoo!

Just wrapped up a chest tattoo with Travis. I brought Travis a couple very loose ideas as to what I was looking for. He came up with a cool and unique design. The tattoo turned out better than I could have imagined. Travis is a super chill dude, he is great to work with, and his work is awesome. I would recommend, and will recommend, Beloved Studios to anyone looking to get a tattoo. Everyone who works there is pleasant to talk to, the scheduling and emails are very professional, and their new shop is wonderful.

Beloved has so many amazing workers and artists. They contacted me within 30 minutes of my initial email (which was amazing). I have contacted other tattoo studios and some took a week, others still haven’t gotten back.My artist provided many suggestions to my tattoo design and I could not love it any more. I highly recommend Seth, he is an amazing artist and a really cool dude.Over all, you can tell these people love their jobs. I will be coming back.

He was accommodating, made sure I fully understood everything that was happening, and was receptive to my feedback on the drawing he made for my tattoo. Travis at Beloved Studios is AWESOME! I had researched artists for months and viewed their portfolios searching for someone who was great at black & white, shading and real-life type tattoos. Once I came across Traviss portfolio, I knew he was a perfect fit for what I wanted. When I met with him one on one to discuss my idea and picture, we just clicked. He understood exactly what I was trying to achieve... a feminine skull that was made up of lace, flowers.. almost like my grandmas doillies. Remember these ? I completed my first of two sessions.. so we are almost done and my tattoo is amazing. The detail is crazy good. We are now talking about how I can connect my existing lower sleeve to my skull that is on my shoulder and he has amazing ideas. I can not wait ! Check out his portfolio... Travis is super talented!

Ive been working with Travis on my tattoo for several sessions now and he has been fantastic! He takes the time to listen to my ideas, provide his artistic insight all while staying true to what I want done. Working with him is a breeze. Hes easy going, polite, and genuinely cares about the work he does and his clients. Travis also never leaves his client hanging. If you want to be talkative, hes got a great sense of humor and some wonderful stories. If you want to just relax and enjoy the experience, hes perfectly willing to do so. Hes got a great sense for his clients and maintains the exact level of professionalism you want. Ive found the guy that Im going to be going to for the rest of my work!The studio as a whole is great. I originally had a meeting with the owner, Brandon for a consultation. He was direct and honest with me in his belief that he would not be a good choice for my work, which I greatly appreciated. I would much rather have someone working on me that is enthusiastic about the job and confident in their skills for that particular project and I greatly respected his honesty on the subject.The rest of the staff has been nothing but polite. I always look forward to going in for work because I know I am seeing real people who are interested in what theyre doing as well as what youre having done.Ive had work done elsewhere that left a bad taste in my mouth for tattooing. This place completely changed my view of things. Ill be going back for all my work and recommend it to all my friends.

Travis is an excellent artist in an excellent shop! He took time to listen to ideas I had for a piece that really meant a lot to me and threw in his own ideas to enhance the drawing and make it an exquisite and unique piece of art made only for me. He took his time in applying the piece to really ensure quality work was going into my skin. He is polite and accommodating to the needs of others which really creates a sense of comfort and relaxation during a generally uncomfortable procedure. I couldnt be happier with the work he has done for me and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new tattoo.

I had the best experience here! My artist was Brandon, and the work he has done on me is beyond amazing, id have to say that the tattoo i received (which was a half-sleeve of a realistic lion with a silhouette of another lion under it as well) had just blown my mind. He, along with all the other crew are incredible people and extremely friendly! I would highly recommend going here if youre looking to get the best possible tattoos in Minnesota!

I went to Beloved Studios recently and was EXTREMELY impressed. Aaron did my tattoo. It was my first, and is an infinity sign with a cross and date incorporated on my wrist. He was very personable and very detail oriented. He let us take pictures and was reasonably priced.The studio itself was really nice, and it had an artsy feel without feeling like a hole in the wall. It also felt very professional and differed in that sense from Saint Sabrinas, which has a much more medical feel.I would recommend Beloved Studios to anyone, and try to get Aaron to do your tattoo!

Peter was fantastic! We emailed for a few weeks beforehand and he was very flexible with finding something I loved. He was very kind and considered my comfort level at all stages of the tattooing process. Great first tattoo experience and I would definitely come back!

I had a consultation with Peter for a tattoo. I am really excited to actually get my tattoo done!!!I was very impressed with their new shop and location. The building used to be an old train car, and you can still see all the awesome architectural details. Its worth it to just go in and look around. Its a very beautiful reception area, and they have decorated it wonderfully.There is a parking lot attached to the building and the shop is easy to find. I found Peter to be very personable and professional, and I am very excited to work with him.

Dan is THE MAN!! He listened to my ideas, but he also stuck with his own design aesthetic which I respect because thats what makes him a great artist. I was given a gift certificate to Beloved. Seth was my artist, he was assigned to me based on my design description, and he was amazing! We had an initial consultation where he developed a design based on my thoughts, then he went to work. The people were all very friendly and I am really pleased with the results. I’m going back to have my older tattoo highlighted by Seth.

Travis did an absolutely incredible job with my tattoo! I came into the studio with a rose tattoo that I was less than impressed with and he was able to transform it into a work of art that I cant wait to show off! I stopped in hoping to get in sometime during my visit from Wyoming. Seth said come back in a half hour and Ill get you in. I showed him what I wanted, left then came back. I have many tattoos from many artists, Seth has by far the lightest touch Ive ever experienced. Real cool atmosphere, laid back authentic personality. I will be coming back next summer for more ink!! First time getting a tattoo. I believe I would be hard pressed to find a better artist and studio for me than Travis at Beloved Studios. I was a nervous about going and from the first minute my consultation started through both sessions Travis made it an enjoyable experience. This speaks nothing of the amazing art he was able to create from my vague design idea of a skull with honeycomb background. I plan on going back.

These guys are awesome. Very approachable, very laid back. All the tattoo artists are more than happy to talk about whatever piece you want to do, give their artistic advice, and make sure you get what you want and what looks good. Theyre not going to pressure you to do anything. Ive got some work done here, so have my friends, and Ill go back for more.

Yesterday Trevor did a small memorial tattoo for me. He did excellent work and the design was exactly what I envisioned. The studio is beautiful. I laid on my back with the sun streaming in the skylights and it was almost like my loved one was there with me. Thank you Trevor!

This is one excellent place to get some incredible tattoo work done. I have had work done by CM before at his old studio, and when I walked into Beloved to have a tattoo finished up from prior, I was actually awestruck. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, very welcoming, a very polite and professional staff! As far as the work that comes out of this place, it is top notch! This isnt a place where you bring in a picture and get it slapped on. I have only gotten work done by CM, but it looks like every portfolio I browsed is masterpiece after masterpiece- I bring in a picture for a concept, throw in my ideas/thoughts in what I want the tattoo to mean, and CM has always drawn up something so much more then I expect, and it works perfectly with the location of the tattoo- I cannot say enough how satisfied I am with the work from CM and the quality of the studio. I dont think I will ever go anywhere else.

Place is clean and well kept. Appointments are always on time and kept. Follow apts and reminders are awesome. Trevor has the most stable hand ive ever seen. His line work and small detail work is insane. Color and shading are great. His after care instructions are clear and great. Repeat customer for sure

Ive worked with a couple artists here and everyone is top notch! Peter H is my guy these days and hes an absolute gem to work with. A bit restrictive on the hours overall but I think that helps keep more serious clientele so there arent folks getting their SOs name on their lower back at midnight. Anyway, wonderful tattoo shop, proud client!

If you are looking for a clean and inviting shop for your first or next tattoo, Beloved Studios is where you want to go. I met Sarah Jane a few years ago when I needed a tattoo that I have had for years touched up. She cleaned up the line work and made the piece more feminine to the point that it didnt look like the same tattoo. When I went in for my second and third tattoos, Sarah Jane took my general and vague descriptions of what I was looking and turned them into works of art. This studio is full of talent and each artist there has their own original style. Beloved is one of the best kept secrets in the metro and is the only shop that I will go to.

Beloved Studios is home to a lot of talented artists. Theyre willing to work with you to make sure your vision is met or better than you could even think. Dan has done all my ink so far. Ive let him know what I wanted and he came out with something better than I had even imagined in my head. Also does super sick new school / animation but definitely not limited to it

I have gotten two tattoos so far (and will be getting another one soon). The people there have been awesome. I went into the studio thinking I was going to have a simple design tattooed but learned really quickly that the people there are artists... Brandon didnt want to use an ordinary design-- he wanted a piece of art- something full of meaning and something that was significant to me. So, I was challenged to think deeper into what I wanted. Brandon drew it up and it was incredible. I have received complements everywhere I go-- It is truly a piece of artwork that I am proud to have. It brings a whole new perspective to having a tattoo. I would definitely recommend it... If you want something simple tattooed on your body, go somewhere else; but if you want a piece of art and something to be proud of, get the work done here.

Beloved is hands down the best, theyre absolutely amazing! I have received work from both Brandon and Dan over the last few years; they are both incredibly talented and passionate artists.Back in 2010, I had finally worked up the courage to go into Beloved for a consultation. Id been wanting a big back tattoo of wings for years and had thought long and hard about where I wanted to get that done. After doing a lot of research and hunting around online, Beloved was the winner by far. Brandon was receptive to my ideas and expanded my initial simple idea into a work of art. Thats what I so appreciate about the artists at Beloved--you give them your ideas and give them room to play and you will get back something wonderful. He and Dan ended up collaborating on that first piece and tandem tattooed my back.Originally I had said just black and white because I couldnt think of what colors would look right. Dan and Brandon came up with a beautiful color palette that totally fits my personality. I still am amazed how much they nailed it. I feel like a walking masterpiece every day. I love how their individual styles are still noticeable but at the same time form a cohesive composition.After the back piece, I had Dan expand it down my right arm in 2013. I constantly get asked if its real, because people cant believe a tattoo can be so vivid and detailed. Im just chomping at the bit to get my left arm inked too.And now today, I had Dan do a small, simple butterfly, but he still put so much detail and care into it. No matter the size or design I always know Dan will do his best--there is nothing he considers too boring or simple.You can get a tattoo almost anywhere these days...but if you want a work of art, go to Beloved.

I did some extensive research on our local tattoo artists for my anticipated piece on my lower leg. For something that was going to be with me the rest of my life, I wanted the Best. This brought me to Beloved Studios and Brandon Heffron. I was able to give Brandon a vision of what I wanted and he was able to transform that vision into a walking work of Art, far expanding my expectations. Brandon was easy to work with, open to collaboration and oh so talented. The studio was clean and hip and everyone was nice. All in all it was a great experience, and I cant wait to for the next one. I had searched for almost a year looking for a tattoo artist that did awesome portraits. My husband passed away last November and so I gave Travis a huge challenge. I wanted him to blend together my husbands face and his favorite spirit animal the wolf.It was the first time he had this request and although a challenge he blew me out of the water when he finished. I can not recommend Travis enough. His work touched my heart and made a wonderful memorial tattoo.Love you Travis!!!!!!!!

I went to Travis Daugherty at Beloved Studios for my first tattoo. I turned 30 this year and have been designing and planning tattoos for about 15 years, so it was really important for me to find an artist that could take my ideas and translate it into a true piece of art. Travis blew my expectations completely out of the water. I thought I liked my idea when I described it to Travis, but when Travis showed me his vision for the piece I was over the moon. I have quite a bit of work I hope to get done over the next few years, and I will absolutely be coming back to Travis for all of it. I cant recommend his work enough!

I was told the artist I normally go to was no longer available for me. Being a old (60) anxious lady I went to the artist they suggested, argh!! Well I can tell you I am So glad I did! Seth gave me a beautiful tattoo that is exactly what I wanted, it is delicate and the lines are perfect, I will be going back to him soon. He is also a real nice guy! My tattoo is everything I wanted and more, Thanks Seth!

Very talented tattoo artists! This place has a very welcoming atmosphere for young gals looking to get some artwork and feel safe while doing it. I dont know all the artists, but many of them are experienced and established in their art career. I also felt that my large back peice was very fairly priced.

I just got my very first tattoo this past weekend with Kayden and the experience was fantastic. Kayden took my idea and made it his own awesome piece of artwork. He also gave me some great suggestions and things to think about before we actually did the tattoo. The tattoo turned out amazing, way better than I could have even hoped. Will definitely be going back in the future.

I got my first tattoo done with Peter, a very simple semi colon, and booked him right after for my next one! Both have turned out super clean and I loved his take on my Millenium Falcon. Will be going again for future projects!

I recently worked with Dan for a cover up. He was great listening to all of my ideas to find the best one. His design exceeded my expectations! I receive so many compliments on it and am so happy with it. I already cant wait to see him again for my next one.

This studio is great, everyone is friendly, and the interior is comfortable - music isnt blaring and theres plenty to look at in most parts. The other artists and support staff might randomly pop in to take a peek at the work, which is cool. I have no complaints except thats its so close to the State Fairgrounds, but just plan accordingly and its no issue!

I had my first tattoo done here by CM. He calmed my fears, did a beautiful job with my design, and I will definitely make the trip back to Beloved for CM to do any future tattoos. The studio was beautiful, clean, and quiet. I absolutely recommend CM and Beloved Stuidos for any tattooing!

Felt a little intimidated walking into the tattoo shop but CM was very friendly and easy to talk to. The tattoo is not what I had imagined but still love how it turned out. The colors are vibrant and beautiful and CM did an awesome job on shading and detail. Thanks CM! Also, the artists there are very caring about the wellbeing of their customers. There was a guy next to me who was about to faint while getting his tattoo done and they offered him a glucose pill and food and sprite and I just thought that was very kind. I hope to return for my next tattoo!

Beloved is a one of a kind original studio with more talent than an art museum. I have had two pieces done here and the design process from start to finish is like no other. Give them some ideas and interests and you will end up with a masterpiece that will not disappoint. This is tattoo studio that is breaking the mold of what most people think a tattoo studio is. I urge anyone who is thinking of getting work done to browse their website, look at the portfolios and schedule a consultation with the artist that speaks to them. If you are looking to pick your tattoo out of a book or a number off of a wall this shop is not for you.

Super sanitary shop! However I am very sad about the way my tattoo turned out. I am going to another artist to get it redone into something better. My artist was Seth. Wouldnt recommend.Now that my tattoo is healed i hate it even more. The placement that was suggested by my artist looks weird. Also some of the lines disappeared during healing 😭

Dan Claessens is my favorite tattooist, and is totally a lovable teddy bear! The whole shop is filled with amazing artists, with the only drawback being that many of them have long wait lists!

These people have been popular for so long that they can now mistreat potential customers with impunity. You cannot call for an appointment or even set up one online. You have to complete an online form outlining your project, which they will ignore if your project isn’t lucrative enough. And they don’t even have the common decency to let you know when you’re rejected. They will just let you twist until you figure out they’ve dumped you. It’s like dealing with the snotty popular girl in high school. I went to a shop in New Brighton and got treated like a human being.

This shop is top notch. Solid crew of artists. My wife was tattooed by Peter haren and she couldnt be happier with the outcome. Defenatly a great experience and will continue to refer people.
