Merk Ink Tattoo Studio

Ok, not even sure where to begin with todays completely unacceptable experience at merk ink tattoo. Instantly upon entering the establishment with my 14yo daughter the artist at the front greets us, and makes a joke about matching tattoos. I laugh it off, and we pick out a simple tattoo i wanted and wait. While I am filling out paper work a second artist comes to the front and approached and began asking my again ,very obviously a child 14 yo if shes there for a tattoo and is very very close and touches her arm at one point and asked at least 5 more times if she wanted a tattoo. We said no , and he eventually got the hint and went back to his booth . During my tattoo the artist asks me if Thats My Girl ? As in girlfriend very creapish I am 44 years old and this is my 14yo daugjter . I did my best to ignore it , when finished as we are getting ready to leave . The other artist appears again ,and proceeds to also ask if thats my girlfriend.? She informed me while i was getting my tattoo done , while she waited in the waiting room . The second artist had approached her again and made her very uncomfortable and made inappropriate comments to her . To say we will not be back and reporting the offers to tattoo a minor repeatedly is the least of the action i will taking. Negative stars if I could . Id steer clear of this place at all costs if you are female or have young females with you . Also please see belpw pictures of a quarter sized 200 dollar tattoo here because it has intricate line work lol . What I wanted vs what I got .It was misrepresented?Really ?Would you like me to post the video recorded from my glasses ? Of both artist asking her repeatedly if shed like a tattoo ? Im pretty sure you dont want the public to see Captain Cocaine about 3 bags deep sweating and chewing his jaw off ! So maybe rethink that reply.

Popped in as walk-in on my girls day trip to Salem. Andrew did a great job on my dainty tattoo. It looks absolutely perfect and exactly what I was imagining! He was funny, had great conversation, made me feel very comfortable, would definitely come back again!

Aidan the Irish fella has tattooed me a bunch of times, a great artist, I’m always super happy with his work and enjoy the service. If your looking for a good laugh while getting tattooed then he’s your guy. I can’t recommend him and this place enough, highly professional

Andrew free handed my witchy little broom tattoo with the date of the witch trials on my trip to Salem. He was very quick and gentle with the needle. I am pleased with this little stamp to remember my trip!

Great place to get a tattoo! Friendly and welcoming staff, clean and open space, and great work from the tattoo artist himself. Awesome way to commemorate a little trip to Salem, definitely recommend getting a tattoo here if you can!

Came in as a walk in, andrew greeted us and was very friendly and informative. wanted to make sure i not only got what i wanted but made sure to put it in a place that flowed well with my other pieces. i gave him a starting point and he gave me a one of a kind piece of art.my piece is quite creepy and the details he chose to put in highlight that perfectly.he is only here until november so make sure to come in and see him!

Saw the Walk-ins Welcome so I strolled on it and was greeting by friendly and welcoming staff. Aiden was my artist and he was great! I told him I wanted to commemorate my trip to Salem and he whipped up a great design without me having any idea of what I wanted. He was light-handed, quick, and detailed.Also, hour later I stopped here after they closed because it was literally the only place that looked open. I asked to use the restroom, one of the staff members even remembered me, and graciously allowed me into their space.Definitely going to recommend to anyone who travels to Salem and wants to do a tattoo!

Husband and I walked into this modern and bright tattoo studio and walked out with two cool new tattoos! Mike and Aiden were very cool and took their time applying our tattoos which turned out awesome!Much recommended!!

3 of us got matching tattoos. Clean shop. Andrew did an awesome job. The tattoos came out great, exactly what we wanted.

Ireland_tattoo has done several great clean tattoos on me and my friends this year! Very professional guy and informative of the process too.

I made an appointment over 3 months ago, got all the confirmation emails and it was a 50 minute drive to the place. Once I got there they barely spoke to me and did not even have time to see me. They were so rude, did not talk to me until I went up to them and asked them how long it will be. I was so respectful as this being my first tattoo, it meant so much for me to finally get it. They did not apologize or anything, all they said it will be hours before I can go. So I left byeeeee

The staff was welcoming when i came in for a walk in tattoo. I was greeted by Michael who looked at my concept art and gave suggestions and fine tuned it to make it his own, which was even better than my original. The shop was beautiful, the conversations were great, and the artist did amazing work! I would suggest this shop to anyone whose in salem or the surrounding areas!! Thank you again Michael for a great tattoo.

The guy was very unprofessional. Made rude remarks when we said a quarter sized tattoo being minimum 200$ is waay to high. Said yet another rude thing when we walked out. Die :)

Went here on the weekend before Halloween 🎃 lots of people but they were still taking walk ins. Very cool artist and very talented. His name was Adrian. Awesome shop

Aidan G was awesome. My wife and I got a couple’s tattoo and he did exactly what we asked. It was also both of our first tattoo and he was very informational and understanding of the winces.

Ive always said that I would never get a tattoo, but then my 30th birthday came up and I said screw it. Ill do it. Ive never been a fan of needles... Gabby made my first experience amazing! If I ever get a tattoo again Ill fly all the way to Salem to get it done by Gabby.

Absolutely fantastic shop! Cleanest shop I’ve been in. All the artists are super talented and patient. I’ve gotten serval tattoos from Ronnie. He and the rest of the artists take time to make sure that the tattoo is exactly what you want and they always come out incredible. Hands down would recommend coming here for any tattoos.

Went for a flash tattoo while in Salem for Halloween season. Everyone was kind and professional despite how crowded Salem was. The tattoo parlor was so clean too! Aiden did my tattoo and was fast and professional.

I don’t even know where to begin. This is the most beautiful tattoo shop I have ever seen!! I just took a shot and walked in, being October in Salem I wasn’t sure if I would even get a spot. The artists here are so nice so accommodating and above all extremely talented. I absolutely love my tattoo. I can’t say enough good things about Maliea! Recently had a tattoo done by her & the experience was great from start to finish. She is extremely talented and confident in her skill, which made me feel comfortable & at ease throughout the entire appointment. I get SO many compliments on my tattoo & have people asking me for her info all the time. I am always happy to refer anyone I can to her because I know they will not leave disappointed. Some friends and I were visiting Salem this past weekend and walked by Merk and noticed that they were accepting walk-ins during the month of October, so we spontaneously decided to get tattoos to commemorate our trip and I could not have been more pleased with our experience! From start to finish, the entire experience was A+++++. The shop was immaculate and clean beyond belief. Maliea did all of our tattoos and I am still blown away by her talent and in awe of the piece she did for me. The detail is incredible and unlike any other tattoo I have. I wish I lived in Salem and could go to Maliea for any future pieces I dream up! She was so friendly and professional and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. If you’re wanting a tattoo, this is the place to go!

Absolutely beautiful tattoo studio with such amazing TALENT. My piece was done by Maleia, whos work speaks for itself. Her portfolio is awesome, but once I got it done - she just blew my mind. Maliea helped me design the most beautiful floral tattoo. I came with ideas and she put them all together to create a beautiful piece. It came out perfectly. She was so easy and fun to work with. Highly recommend her as an artist!

I cannot say thank you enough to Gaby! My husband and I stopped in last minute before leaving Salem to get tattoos for our 10 year anniversary. Gaby exceeded our expectations by far! Her line work is absolutely impeccable. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be seeing her! Thank you so much Gaby!

The previous comment made by the “Karen” was completely miscommunicated and untruthful in her review. I was in the shop and was that “clients that changed her mind” (which i did not) She was told she would be the next walk in and she came in complaining about the wait WHILE I WAS STILL IN THE CHAIR. She was in fact “next” but obviously doesn’t understand that QUALITY SHOPS take time to design, set up AND tattoo. Sorry you wanted a quick $20 tat. This isn’t the shop. It’s professional and amazing. Gabby is absolutely AMAZING and is the SWEETEST person!! I couldn’t recommend this shop more. I emailed THREE SHOPS almost a month ahead of time for an appointment and they were the ONLY to respond. The owner is awesome and runs a great-vibed shop.I will for sure we revisiting for another one on my next trip!

This was an awesome experience! Gaby was able to squeeze me in for a walk-in and did an amazing job. She was extremely professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. Gaby was also very friendly and worked with me on design and placement. The shop was had an amazing vibe and was super clean. 10/10 recommend Gaby!!!!!

This tattoo shop is the cleanest place I have ever been to. I have over 15 tattoos and the one I got from Ronnie is the best work I have to date. I can’t wait to go back for more! He is so friendly and for what you pay you get your moneys worth times 10! Would 100% recommend!!
