Amazing tattoo shop and all the workers are super friendly. My wife and I are huge fans of the show ink master. We were able to get an appointment with the man himself Jimmy. Jimmy is really that nice in person as you see in the show. Super friendly and down to earth. His brother Kyle and everyone in the shop were so friendly offering us Topo Chico water. Jimmy wanted to give us some stickers because we came from NYC but couldn’t find the box. We are really happy that we came here and the result of the tattoo.

Loved my experience here! Super laid-back shop with phenomenal artists. I got a skull and dagger from Jimmy and it is my most complimented tattoo. Jimmy was super kind and easy to work with. Definitely plan on coming back next time Im in the area!

My wife and I were vacationing in Salem and wanted to get spooky tattoos to remember the trip. We set up an appt with Jake and Woo and they were both amazing! Everyone in the shop is super friendly and welcoming and it is easily the most down to earth shop I’ve been to in the past decade. Jake and Woo both did a perfect job for our tattoos with extremely fair pricing and great conversation, we will definitely be back to get more on our next trip and I could not recommend this shop more!

Love this place! We came in for a walkin on vacation. My boyfriend took a flash and I had a custom design on the spot. Super sweet team, talented artists, easy to find location, etc.. I definetly recommend it. 😁🖤 10/10

Went to north street for the first time for their flash event last Saturday. We waited for about two hours outside but it was soooo worth it. The girl at the front desk was great (forgot her name) and answered all my questions as this was my first tattoo! My artist Terry was great, and he made the process a breeze. Can’t wait to come back!

Took a ride from New Jersey up to Salem to get a tattoo from Jimmy Snaz and it was a great experience! Not only did I get an amazing tattoo but Jimmy and his son Salem were such awesome people. Salem was very nice to my son who is 4, gave him some paper and colored pencil to draw on while we waited. Everyone at the studio was super nice. Jimmy even let my son sit on the shop Harley and took pictures with him. My son loved porkchop! 100% would and will be booking again with Jimmy next time he opens his books! 20/10 would recommend

Grace was absolutely incredible! She was so kind, patient, and made the entire experience so much fun!! My husband was tattooed by Jake, and he was also amazing! You can tell they care a lot about their clients and the wonderful art they are doing for you. 10/10 recommend both of them! Hope to come back next year!

Joe Mallard had done the overwhelming majority of my tattoos and I love every one of them. This shop is one of the friendliest I’ve been to as well as one of the most talented. If you’re looking for a bright, bold traditional style tattoo and you live in the area then this is the shop for you!

My tattoo with Grace was awesome, she was so nice and personable and she makes incredible art. Im excited to wear this on my body and its probably my favorite tattoo that Ive gotten so far! The shop is very cozy, ill definitely make the trip back : )

Amazing experience! The staff and everyone that was there were very friendly. The shop provided a great atmosphere while waiting for my appointment and while my artist sketched out the design. I booked with Kyle. He was awesome, and was able to work with me on the details that I wanted. Kyle absolutely knocked it out of the park and delivered on a tattoo that I am extremely satisfied with!

Giving this 2 stars not because of the tattoos but because of incidents that have occurred and completely has turned me off from this shop. I got a sleeve done here it looks great, I get compliments all the time. Without a doubt talented artists. However on two occasions my artist over booked my appointment and I had to return home (1.5 hr drive to and from). On both occasions I accepted it without trouble and went home. Fast forward 2 months i miss an appointment I couldn’t make and now I am black listed by said artist. It’s aggravating that as a customer I have to accept whatever mistake the artist makes but if a customer isn’t able to make an appointment they are black listed. If I had known this I would’ve walked away the first time he double booked and brought my business elsewhere. Which I will now do. If you want talented artist this is the place to go. If you want talented artists who actually CARE I would say go elsewhere.

North Street is amazing. Every artist in the shop is incredibly talented and the energy in the shop rocks! My girlfriend and I got tattooed by Jimmy this past Thursday and it was an awesome experience - easily the best tattoo Ive ever had! From the aesthetic of the shop to the quality of work produced, the team over at North Street Tattoo know how to get it done! Thank you all so much - I look forward to getting more work done in the future!

Got an incredible tattoo from Grace! The shop looks really great inside and the people are super cool. It was fun chatting with several of them while I was being tattooed. Its worth it to me to drive back to this place!

This was an amazing adventure for me. From finding the shop to meeting all the artists there. My tattoo artist was Ritehook and the man was fantastic and as professional as one can be. He knew exactly what I wanted and had the sketch laid out for me after telling him what I wanted. I cannot be any happier and have already decided to let him do my entire right arm. Looking forward to seeing him and the rest of the crew again! If you love trad work this is the place to be. No one will treat you poorly, everyone will treat you with respect, love and a pinch of humor and you will have a helluva time. Much love guys!December 4, 2021 Update — Back at it again 3 months later and the shop is still as warm, welcoming and clean as the first time. Hanging out with Jimmy, Terry and Jake was a great time today. And of course. I walked out the shop with another banger by Terry. Had an amazing experience at North Street Tattoo! I got an amazing piece done by Joe Mallard!! All the artists there are extremely talented so you cant go wrong! The shops has a great welcoming atmosphere and is definitely worth a trip to stop by and say hello!

I got tattooed by Joe and he is the most amazing! He was prepared and I didn’t have to wait around all day AND I got the best wicked lobster roll tattoo!

I flew out of Florida to have a consultation meeting with Jimmy over at Boston Tattoo Company, his previous employer. I walked into the shop and the assistant announced my arrival to Jimmy he immediately looked annoyed. This guy spent like 2 minutes talking to me about my tattoo and then handed me off the assistant to get my card info for a deposit. Jimmy ran to the other side of the room and started to watch YouTube videos instead of the having the decency to walk me to the door and thanking me for stopping by.I am not leaving a 1 star review due to the fact that this happened at different tattoo shop and I do not want to tarnish North Street Tattoo reputation. Spend your money with a different artist who is actually grateful for your business and not rude, plus Jimmy pants are hella tight, I found it hard to breathe just by looking at him.

Our experience at North Street Tattoo left a lasting impression and created a lifelong memory for my daughter, who was recently tattooed by Jimmy Snaz. This was our second time traveling from Pittsburgh to Salem for the sole purpose of a tattoo in Jimmys speciality style-American traditional- but our first time at North Street Tattoo. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and everyone we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and beyond accommodating to ensure we were comfortable. We would make the drive in a heartbeat (well, maybe 9 hours) when its time for the next tattoo!

I had recently been recommended to North St Tattoo as I had wanted a portrait done on my forearm and after talking with Jimmy Snaz I knew I was at the right spot. I must say the work that comes out of North St is nothing less than incredible. All the workers there are very friendly and social.

I cannot speak more highly about this shop everyone made me feel so comfortable and Terry did an awesome job on my cover up its so beautiful you cant even tell what it used to be such a great experience beautiful artists and great vibes all around I will definitely be back for more
