Clean! Friendly! Theres something for everyone here! I recommend this shop to anyone and everyone i can! I have gotten so many great tattoos and piercings from here over the years and will continue to do so! Not to mention they are always working with local businesses to create fun events and go great things!

Love state street tattoo have been here many times since it has opened many years ago. From piercings to tattoos have brought my daughter for a few piercings aswell. Definitely recommended!

After tattoos and piercings, this is my go-to place. The best in the business! Their new piercer is amazing, she made me feel comfortable and was patient with me through the whole piercing. Informative and professional from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend this shop!

Ive been here several times for their Friday the 13th specials. Loved the eclectic decoration, and the artists were all very nice.

Will is the best piercer around! He knows his facts, has the best side manner, answers all questions and makes his clients comfortable! Totally down to earth and such a nice guy! The work is excellent & not over priced. They certainly dont just care about the money. They pride themselves in their work and its so easy to see why. One of the best shops around and I will always get my work done here.

Went to this establishment to have my daughters ears pierced. Very professional. Great experience.

I was having a hard time finding anyone to pierce my 6yo daughters ears. I called State Street Tattoo and they said they could do it. I drove nearly an hour to get it done. The staff was great. I was very impressed. Highly recommend them. Now that my other daughter is jealous I am sure we will be back. Thank you!

I love going to State Street for one specific reason: the atmosphere. You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. I have 17 piercings and have gotten 11 of them there. I will never go to another tattoo shop. The artists are great, super fun to be around and definitely make you comfortable. Definitely recommend.

I had an amazing tattoo artist, Jimmy, who gave me exactly what I wanted and it was beautiful. I have also had Will do piercings and hes great at what he does! Definitely returning!! Super clean business and knowledgeable staff.

My boyfriend and I went! Very exciting. They had a convention going on and was very busy. Got 2 piercings! Very happy with my choice of coming to this establishment. The piercer was very informative, very polite, and professional. I will be going back. Had a great experience and was well worth the pricing.

I walked in without an appointment today and they fit me in within a span of thirty minutes. They asked me what I wanted and were drawing up it up immediately. The shop is clean and gives off a nice vibe. The woman that tattooed me was very nice and made me feel comfortable, as it was my first time getting a tattoo. The process was very simple and it didn’t take long at all for her to finish. My little rose tattoo is my favorite thing in the world and I love it!! The price was a little high, but the work was very good. I do, overall, recommend this shop for anybody looking to get their first tattoo, or just in general as an establishment!

Always a good time. My friends and I have been coming to get tattooed by Rudy on a fairly regular basis for over a year now and have had nothing but good experiences. If youre good to them, theyll be good to you, and theres a reason why we choose to drive an hour out to Salem instead of going to a closer shop. 5/5

Very fast service. Was able to get me in on the same day. The piercer had awesome bedside manner, and his main priority was making sure I was comfortable throughout all four piercings that I received. Would definitely recommend.

We were greeted and made to feel comfortable immediately. Our tattoo artist was Jimmy. He made us feel very relaxed and we knew we were in good hands..ourdesigns were exactly what we envisioned and we were more than satisfied. We will be back and refer our friends to State Street. We drove an hour to get to the shop and it was worth every minute. Very clean and professional.A+A+

Will is a great piercer. Hes done my septum and now my nipples. Hes always so nice and pleasant. Highly recommend getting anything done by him.

My first tattoo done there was done by Jimmy and it came out perfect so went back 2 weeks later and got another one and since then I have added 2 more and got one touched up. All of mine have been done by Jimmy and I will not go anywhere else. Will be getting more done here pretty soon. I love the place cause everyone there is so nice and the place is sooooo clean. Also Im in my 60s and still treated respectfully and I really appreciate that.

Great place full of incredibly talented artists who always go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your work before, during and after they put it on your skin! I cant say enough about this place, the atmosphere is welcoming, they have a comfortable waiting area where you can watch a movie while you wait, all of the artists are top notch, the shop minimum is only 30 bucks so if you want something small you know they arent going to rake you over the coals just to turn a buck! I HIGHLY recommend State Street to anyone looking for some new ink. I have a friend who has to travel 3 hours to come here, but she wont go anywhere else!

Walked in to have Will pierce my nose he was so great! Extremely professional and he was able to keep me relaxed the whole time! He assuredMe that if I had any questions during the healing process he would be there to help me out.The shop was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I went for the first time last night for their annual Friday the 13th event, and I loved it! I love seeing such a large community of such seemingly different people gather for an event like this and see that were really not so different after all.There were so many designs to choose from for this event, and it was a difficult choice to make, but I went with a simple rose tattoo on my wrist below a previous tattoo.While the wait was pretty long due to the popularity of the event (I got there at 8:30pm and left at 3:30am) it was very much worth it. Im not sure what the artists name was that did mine, but we chitchatted through it to help me not think about the pain as I have a semi low pain tolerance when it comes to tattoos. He was super nice and he did fast but quality work. I was in the chair for maybe 5-7 minutes.Im not sure if I would come here myself for a regular tattoo appointment as it appears most of the artists specialize in American Traditional style and thats not really *my* style, but the work is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend if thats the style youre into!

The guys here are incredibly awesome. Super helpful, nice to you, and Brandon does pretty quick work. The guy who mans the front (I forget his name and feel awful) is super friendly. Takes the time to talk to you about whats going to happen. And the shop is very clean.

I have went there 2 times too many. Once for piercings 1 for a tattoo. The piercer was late came in mumbling how he didnt want to do any piercings that day not realizing I was his next client. And the tattoo is now covered up. Unprofessional conversations and Unprofessional behavior shown on public forums deter me from ever going back or ever recommending it to anyone.

State Street Tattoo is a first class tattoo shop. I’ve been getting tattooed since I was 17 (with moms signature). Once I found State Street, in 2012, there has been no other shop I’d rather go to. They have collected an amazing group of artists who can tattoo all styles. Very professional and knowledgeable with their craft. The body piercer Will is precise and patient and Billy behind the desk is extremely helpful as well as entertaining. Everyone at State Street Tattoo are excellent and awesome people. Excited for my next visit. State Street Tattoo in Salem, OH is the place to be!

I’ve had four of my tattoos and a piercing done at State street! It’s quickly become one of my favorite places in Ohio. Brandon, Gary and Will and really everyone there are all fantastic humans ! Not only are they the best at what they do but they are hilarious and have great taste in film and music also, making my overall experience ... well, an experience! Xox

My opinion is that it’s the best shop in Ohio to get a tattoo or piercing. Extremely talented, professional, and down to earth artists. The entire staff is brilliant.

I normally get all my piercings done here but I am not anymore. I went in earlier today to get a new setum piercing to put in and they gave me one which they said that it was for the setum and later on I found out that it was a tongue piercing. I wasted $10 on that. And when I gotten my tongue pierced there it was done but it got so infected that I had to take it out and wait for it to fully heal and then go get it done again, now it is fully healed the second time around. The photo is what they gave me as a setum replacement

Got my doubles done on my ear by Will and I couldnt say one bad thin. He was very patient, caring and talked us through every step of the process. I will definitely be coming back!!

Scheduled an appointment for the 9th and when I called to confirm they told me I was wrong and had to make another deposit because it was a no call no show. I work Monday through Friday and my wife was there when I rescheduled. What kinda of shop doesnt set appointments over the phone and the artist hardly spoke to me about the design.

Have had all my tattoos done here, and i have my arm covered. very clean and very affordable along with some of the most talented artists, as well as extremely personable and easy to get along with.And as for the comments about piercings and tattoos getting infected, body modifications are how you uphold them.

I got my Tragus and forward helix pierced here by Will. Everyone was very nice and helpful! Will was very informative and helpful with the piercing after care! All around a very nice place.

Very clean but not happy with waiting 2 hours to get started on a tattoo that I had already scheduled for. Made an appointment at 12 and we didnt even start till 2. My artist kept stopping to talk to people about things like a car title and counter tops. The work is very well dont but the wait is what has me from giving 5 starts.

Got our sons ears pierced, hes 7 and really wanted them. Their piercer Will was very good with him. He made the whole experience very easy.

Very expensive but does good work. Some friendly staff. Some not so friendly staff. I wouldnt normally go to them but they normally have time for walk ins so if you want a tattoo that day and dont want to wait its a good choice.

They really love and care about their work. Brandon knows his stuff on not only tattooing but in dermatology too. He gave very detailed and descriptive after care.

My wife and I, went in to get prices. All we wanted was two words. Basic fonts, nothing special. We were quoted 250 to 300 each.!!!!!!!!. I thought there was a mistake. They definitely do not have the skill in the shop to charge those outrageous prices.

Rudy went above and beyond-I was a walk in looking for a special tattoo to honor my dads passing as I was having a sad day!! He nailed it💙💙

I went in to have my nose peircing checked because it was red, inflammed, oozing pus, and was very painful.I was told to stop being a hypochondriac that it wasnt infected. Even though Im in medical school and I know what an infection looks like. Also went there looking to get a tattoo covered up on my arm, showed them a sample picture to give them an idea of what I was looking for only to be asked why I would want a tattoo like that? and no one in the shop would draw that up for you. very unprofessional. I wouldnt waste my money.
