Shrine Tattoo

Just a waste of $200 , yes $200 for an inch and a half small tattoo. First pic is what I took in for ref, second pic is what I left with and third picture is the touch up that completely ruined this.I emailed the photo way in advance of what I wanted and asked who could do this, was given a name and booked. Went in and got it done. Upon my tattoo I felt awful as the artist kept telling me how hard something like this was. Maybe that is why he charged me so much for it. I felt like I was making him upset with the tattoo. If that was the case I’d rather him not have done it. Immediately after the tattoo got home and took a look after the swelling calmed down. The petals were not connected and I showed them with arrow a what I was taking about. They booked me two weeks out for a retouch. When in today to leave with a very cartoonish flower when my reference photo was of a delicate dainty flower. I am so upset and burned money on this. Going to have this removed as soon as possible.If an artist isn’t confident in replicating something it would do well to say so and not take something on they can not do.0/10 would not recommend this tattoo salon and they should refund me my money

1st time in SF for a conference and have been working on some important cover ups. They responded to my email within 24 hours and managed to work me in with Miguel. The shop is awesome, professional with a great vibe, all kinds of people and they seem to care about their work and their clients. Miguel worked with me to come to a nice agreement on what would would work and he exceeded what I anticipated.They also have great merch and I got a shirt. So theres that.If Im ever back here Ill go back there. 😀

We walked in with no appointment received an excellent consult for a tattoo I’d been wanting for years to honor my mother and daughter. John my artist was super easy to talk to and provided a beautiful rendering of it. It was a seamless process and I was in and out within the hour. I’m thrilled with the result. Thank you John and the shrine team. I’ll be back. Highly recommend this parlor.

Not only are the artists at Shrine very talented, the staff is so helpful and welcoming. I was with a group of four other friends on a trip to Santa Fe and we decided last minute to get tattoos. Kate was so helpful and able to get us in with our artist, John S, the next day. We gave a few reference photos and John did an amazing job interpreting them. We’re all very happy with our piece! Highly suggest popping into Shrine - even if it’s just to buy some of their merch!

I have been tattoos at Shrine for years now (Emma is my go-to artist!) and they are hands down the best, not only in Santa Fe but out of many studios I have visited in 10+ years of getting tattooed. Highly recommend for flash or custom work. Also very friendly, professional studio and INCREDIBLY clean! A++

The artists here are at the top of their game. You will not find better artist in Santa Fe or most places in the US. Not only does there art and ink show how awesome they are as artist, but you will not find a more mindful and fun atmosphere too. The artist have that personality that makes it fun and comfortable to get tattooed too. They listen to your needs of what you have a vision for. Then make it come to life with you in mind. I have gone to several places in Santa Fe. This is the best one in town. I have used several artist here and have never been disappointed, only amazed that what they do can be done on skin. This place was awesome, I walked in on a whim and they were able to take me right away. Shop was really clean and the staff were very professional. Jenna was my artist and she was super friendly and gave me a great tattoo. Highly recommended if you’re looking for ink in Santa Fe!

I have been going to Shrine since they opened up. Hands down the best shop in the region with some of the heaviest hitters in tattoo and a great variety in styles! Aron has been my dude for years and he never ceases to blow my mind with his signature style and artistic vision. I recently got tattooed by Zac and he did an amazing job creating and executing a completely custom piece!Everyone there is super friendly and it’s a blast hanging out while getting inked! Customer service is top notch too! Andrew does an excellent job of communicating and keeping the process seamless and organized.I would highly recommend anyone looking to get a tattoo to check out Shrine! What an amazing experience! We were a large group passing through with a spontaneous idea for matching tattoos. Shrine was so friendly and helpful, and managed to squeeze us all in just in time, and did an amazing job!

We came to shrine for spontaneous celebratory road trip tattoos and were not disappointed! The front desk was super welcoming and Greg and Zac did an awesome job. Will definitely be back if we pass through Santa Fe again!

Just got work done this weekend, after following Zac all the way from San Francisco to Santa Fe. His art continues to impress, and the rest of the staff have incredible portfolios as well. Looking forward to returning for another tattoo soon!

I highly recommend this shop!I was headed to Santa Fe for a short vacation and arranged to get a tattoo from Emma Bagley. I really loved the work she had on Shrines site and decided to try and see if she had time open while I was in town. The shops staff was great - they were incredibly professional and I was able to get a spot scheduled. I appreciated that Emma and I had a phone consultation prior to my coming into town. I have gotten tattoos while traveling before and it is not always a very easy or smooth process. At Shrine though, it was really easy and I had confidence that my appointment would go off without a hitch.The day of my tattoo, I was happy to walk in and see that the vibe of the shop was excellent. You can tell that the artists like each other which makes the whole mood of a place better. I felt comfortable right away and you could tell that the shop was kept very clean.Now to the tattoo itself - what a thing of beauty!! I wasnt sure what exactly it was that Emma was going to design but I was incredibly pleased when I saw my future tattoo for the first time.

This place is so awesome!! the vibe in the studio is immaculate. the front desk employee is super sweet and caring. you could definitely tell they care about their work rather than just slapping anything on their customers. emma and aaron did my best friends and i’s matching tattoos. they were super fast with it too. they also have really good pricing! definitely stop bye even if it’s just to go through their flash tattoo book!

Great booking experience, in-shop customer service, and talented artists.We came in from out of town to book tattoos for three of us. Aron did the script for two of us, and Emma did a custom designed hot air balloon. Both were excellent!This was only my second tattoo, and it was an underboob+sternum piece. Aron’s speed and precision made for an exceptional experience for this lightweight. We all three walked out happy!

I went to Shrine with a tattoo idea that had a lot of variables and Aaron Dubois helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and gave me an awesome tattoo with efficiency and professionalism. My tattoo healed super quickly and I am very happy with it. Shrine is one of the most special tattoo shops I have ever been to, across the country! The artists are not only incredibly talented and so unique, everyone who works there is just extremely nice, chill, calm, present, and patient. And the manager Andrew is so freaking efficient at his job its kind of astounding. My experiences getting tattooed by Zac have been really important to me--Im not always sure how my ideas will work as tattoos, and his vision to bring a thought to life on the body is just flawless and inspired. His most recent piece for me is absolutely one of the most complex, intricate works Ive ever seen, its a masterpiece and theres no other word for it! Shrine is an inspiring place to be as a creative, true artists and professionals with vision and the right touch. Were really lucky to this place and these people here in New Mexico. Once I found Shrine tattoo I will never again get tattooed at another shop. I’ve been tattooed by Zac, Aron, and Emma. All experiences have been phenomenal. The artists are talented, professional, efficient, and price their work fairly. Andrew the shop manager is also super accommodating, nice, and welcoming. This shop doesn’t have the “tatitude” of other shops and instead is a haven of creative artistry, uniqueness, and flawless execution. The shop is clean, beautifully decorated, and in a great location. Thank you Shrine for all of the great work, I will be back again and again.

I cant recommend Shrine Tattoo enough. So many tattoo parlors are walk-ins, meaning you never know how good the quality will be. Ive had a few bad walk-in barbershop haircuts over my life; hair grows back, but a tattoo is forever.Shrine is a professional operation. Youll book an appointment. Youll first have a consultation with your selected artist (the list of them and their portfolio is on the website), and then youll schedule the day of your tattoo. I went with Owen Lostetter from a friends recommendation and am exceptionally happy with his artistry. He came up with digital design for my tattoo, scaled it to fit, and away we went.For those of us who arent fond of needles, getting a tattoo can be like going to the dentist. Owen was wonderful at putting me at easy with great conversation, telling stories of growing up in New Mexico, and we hummed along to the Jesus & Mary Chain. It was a very positive experience and I love the result.Already looking forward to my next tattoo at Shrine. I know itll be great!

I showed up to Shrine about 2 years ago for my first tattoo. It was a big project (full sleeve) and as you can imagine I was very nervous, not really knowing what to expect from the experience. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Zac who in addition to having an extraordinarily high level of technical mastery was able to guide me through the process patiently while putting my fears at ease. Ive since returned to have additional work done by him and my experiences have been great. The staff is super friendly and professional. And Zac treats his projects as commissions for a piece of artwork. Its a very professional approach that paints the experience in really cool way. Good vibes all around. I travel a good distance to get tattooed here. If you live in Santa Fe or even ABQ and youre not getting tattooed at Shrine you may want to reconsider your life decisions. I couldnt recommend them enough.

Shrine is of the most friendly and welcoming tattoo shops, Ive had the pleasure of getting work from. Youll be hard pressed to find a better crew of tattoers.

I’ve been going to Owen ever since I was old enough to get tattoos. He’s done most of my tattoos but whenever I go to someone else I usually end up wishing I had just stuck with Owen. He has a very light hand and works very fast. Tattoos can be pricey but that’s what you get if you want an excellent tattoo! He does excellent line and shading work. He’s the only one I trust in town and the tattoos always come out better than I had originally anticipated.

This place absolutely rules!!! All of the artists are super cool and talented in their own ways, which is so refreshing - you don’t always get this many different styles and strengths in one shop. Also awesome vibes & decor. Best shop in town hands down!!!

My wife and I honeymooned in Santa Fe and decided to get matching tattoos while we were in the area. Owen was so kind alongside the other artists there. We received a free sticker after leaving and a tattoo care guide. Shrine, among other places in Santa Fe, was a place to remember. Emma Bagley has the patience, emotional awareness and integrity that every tattoo artist should be trained in! Emma sat patiently with me during more than one re-work of my design and when I was experiencing anxiety right before the tattoo began, she paused, picked up on my anxiety and suggested we wait until I was 100% sure I wanted to get tattooed - she is TRULY dedicated to a good experience for all parties involved; she cares more about happy clients over making a profit. Her energy and dedication to the sacredness of tattooing are truly amazing. I highly recommend working with her - this is the experience and level of communication you want with a tattoo artist!

A great new addition to Santa Fe! Shrine hired a super talented group of artists. The shop is super clean and staff were all very friendly & professional. My new tattoo is perfect and healed super quickly.

My artist Owen was amazing. He listened tentatively to what I wanted, and made it better than I imagined! The only reason I only give 4 stars is because the girl working the front had 0 customer service skills. I gave my artist references of what I wanted and while I waited another customer asked for a price on a necklace and all she could tell her was that it was ‘over $650’. She didn’t bother to look up the actual price because I guess she didn’t think the customer could afford it? I left for a bit for my artist to draw it up and when I came back I sat in the store for LITERALLY 10 minute without her acknowledging me, then i watched her walk to the back and heard her proceed to engage in a conversation about dinner. I honestly thought I was on the show ‘What would you do?’. I would just suggest that if this shop wants to remain upscale and maintain happy customers they make sure all employees understand how customer service works.
