Fortunata is easily the nicest tattoo studio I’ve ever been in. J was amazing from beginning to end. They were also nice, so fun to talk to and interact with. Really just an amazing experience overall. The staff is so nice. Will definitely coming back for more tattoos!!

My sister and I got tattoos from Howie.. and he was absolutely amazing. His station was clean, he was so kind and made us so comfortable. It was my sisters 1st tattoo and he walked her through everything and communicated so well with her!!! We definitely recommend seeing him! The shop overall was welcoming and the customer service was top notch, thank you everyone from Fortunata tattoo and Howie for an amazing experience

Hands down the best shop in Spokane. My artist is Bethany and she is amazing! She has been working on a full color floral forearm half-sleeve for me the last few years. Her work is beautiful and she will put you at ease with a friendly vibe. She even pulled a Sunday shift for me in order to get my work done in time for my wedding. The shop itself has an upscale spa-meets-hipster vibe. Great communication, reasonable price (you get what you pay for), unbeatable environment.

Bee absolutely the most amazing tattoo artist. I truly cannot say enough good things about her if you are looking for someone to do a great job who is kind and creative and extremely talented. She is definitely the person for you.

This was my first tattoo and I couldnt be happier with it. The location I picked for the work was a bit painful but the artist was super patient and helpful when I needed a short break. He was also super light with the tattoo gun (pen?) too so that helped a ton I think. The front receptionist was super sweet too. I arrived an hour or so early and they didnt mind me chilling in the lobby. Highly reccomend!

A couple friends and I wanted spontaneous tattoos while in Spokane for a girls trip. We called 3 places and none one responded. The last place we called was Fortunata, when we called they were so friendly and helpful and squeezed in 3 tattoos within 30 minutes of calling. As soon as we got there, we were greeted with friendly customer service. It is a very clean and professional place. They have water and drinks. They communicate very clearly and are some of the nicest people I have met. They kept us updated on when we would be going back and has great communication. When we went back and met with the artist, she was up front and very open about what we wanted. The whole experience was so amazing from the time we called to the time we left! Would recommend this to anyone who is wanting an excellent experience!

I’ve gone to Sal for three tattoos now and planning on many more appointments. Sal is super professional and very fair on pricing given how high quality the work is. The shop always well cleaned and all staff are friendly. Couldn’t recommend Fortunata enough!

My best friend and I went to Washington for a trip and spontaneously decided to get matching tattoos. I called and asked if they took walk-ins and it was our lucky day that they had room for the two of us. Our artist ended up being Jeremy, one of the new artists in town, and we could not have been happier. The vibes were great and it was a super comfortable space. The shop itself is amazing and so pretty and clean. Lots of greenery and the tattoo spaces are so cute!! I guess you can say that we traveled all the way from Minnesota to get tattooed here. Amazing and highly recommend. And in case if you were wondering, we got the angel numbers 222.

My friend and I were looking for a walk-in and we ended up getting Molly as our artist! Molly was AMAZING!! She was so sweet and so incredibly helpful. She fully took my existing tattoos into consideration so that my chosen matched in terms of shading. My friend and I did blindfold tattoos and she was so down and made our experience 10x better!!The shop was beautiful and had a super friendly atmosphere. It was very clean and had a very easy and up to date check in process! I would highly recommend Molly as well as Fortunata tattoo to anyone looking to get something done!

First time getting tattooed and I had such a pleasant experience here! All the staff are super nice and friendly. The place was so much nicer than I expected from a tattoo shop, like it almost gave me that spa feeling. They do follow mask guidelines which I highly appreciate.I got tattooed by Courtney and she was really able to work with what I had in mind and made me and my friend feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Im so happy with the end result and already cant wait for the healing process to be over!!I also really appreciated that they had local artists works on display and snacks for purchase.

My friends and I got matching tattoos at Fortunata and had an amazing experience! The space is so clean, cool and beautifully decorated, and everyone there was so friendly and accommodating. We booked with Molly and she was absolutely amazing! She is a very talented artist, an excellent conversationalist and she made all of us feel super comfortable, especially those who were first-timers. I got a tattoo from Molly and she was truly incredible! From the consultation to the tattoo itself, she made me feel safe, heard and cared for. She was willing to rework it a bit and didn’t make me feel rushed while planning the tattoo or finalizing placement. She checked in on me throughout the tattoo to make sure I felt okay. It was a really wonderful experience. Molly executed my idea so well, the whole process felt like a collaboration. Everyone I interacted with at the shop was kind and friendly. The space was clean and well designed. I highly recommend fortunata tattoo and Molly in particular!

I got a hip piece done in May by Bee and my experience here was fantastic! Bee gave me plenty of time to decide how I wanted the tattoo to look, and if I wanted to change things about it. The tattoo came out soo beautifully, I’ll absolutely be going back for more from her!!The shop itself is extremely nice and very clean. I’m always greeted right when I come in and offered a water. They even made me a coffee for the road after my appointment when they heard I would be driving a few hours home!

My friend and I came to this studio on a whim one morning, wanting to choose each other’s designs without the other one knowing until it was finished. Fortunata ended up being one of the only studios open for a walk in that day, and now that’s its finished, I wouldn’t have had it any other way! We ended up with Molly, who was extremely flexible with what we wanted to do. She was mindful of our time restrictions, really engaged with us, was very funny, and above all, produced results that we were extremely happy with. Thank you Fortunata and Molly for an excellent experience - we will definitely be back :)

I had been shopping for a tattoo artist and studio that could execute a leg sleeve celebrating my wife and I. I couldn’t find anyone the was extremely talented, and also willing to work with me to create “our” vision.Kayla Barnes is extremely skilled, a joy to work with, patient, and creative. We have been working on my tattoo for nearly 6 months, and it has been a wonderful experience. It isn’t complete yet, but a one of a kind piece of art is being created. I will post more later.The studio is gorgeous and all of the other employees are courteous and curious. They always want to see the work and even offer coffee. It is an extremely clean studio that is beautifully decorated. It’s spa like.

I came in to get a tattoo with J and they are so amazing! I absolutely love my tattoo and look forward to maybe adding to it, and talking to them about some tattoos Ive had in mind, because looking at their work seems to align with what Ive been wanting.The shop is super clean, and beautifully decorated. I got my first tattoo at Fortunata Tattoo Studio and it was a great experience. The studio is clean, hygienic, and inviting. From the consultation through the day of my appointment, Courtney was easy to work with and able to answer all of my questions. She listened attentively to what I wanted (and didnt want) in my tattoo, and came up with an amazing design—I am very happy with how it turned out!Courtney provided very detailed aftercare instructions, and when I had an aftercare question the day after my appointment, I was able to call and get an answer right away.10/10, will get tattooed here again.

I havent been to a new shop in years but Im so happy I chose to go to this one for my new piece! The studio is beautiful and clean. Everyone is so nice and the tattoo artist I worked with was amazing. Isaac was very patient and comforting and took his time to make sure my tattoo was amazing! Fortunata is a very clean, professional business. i got a memorial piece done by Kalypso and i was very pleased. hes a very considerate and fun person, he made the experience as enjoyable as it can be lol. the tattoo looks exactly like the picture, every line and scribble exactly where it should be. it looks splotchy but its an 8 year olds drawing so he was just copying what she drew, im extremely happy with it and will definitely be coming back.

11/10 would recommend! I have gotten two tattoos from artists Courtney and Matt. They are super professional, kind, do amazing art work and the rest of the staff is super helpful and kind as well. The art styles in this shop are all unique and very well done styles ranging from anime to realism to traditional. In regards to cleanliness and professionalism in the tattoo industry they are very much up to standards in all the ways youd hope as well. A safe space for POC, LGBT and any other kinds of persons as well which makes it even more comfy for the tattoo sessions. I intend to get all my tattoos done by the various talented artists that work here.

I worked with Kayla Chamberlain and she was fantastic! She has a gentle touch and a warm demeanor. I will definitely be back to work with her again. Courtney has also done three of my tattoos and her line work is exquisite.

Mat is an amazing artist that improves and gets better each and every tattoo he does! He’s very personable, professional, and easy to get along with! He does amazing black work with incredible detail and smooth lines. And the shop itself has a very relaxing and comforting environment that allows you to relax and kick back for some new ink! Hello, a first time client here that just wanted to say I had such a great experience at Fortunata! I won a giveaway via Instagram with Molly (@notgirlyink) and am absolutely thrilled with my experience. I won a 4 hour session & Molly was not only able to give me one sick tattoo but two & even went as far as touching up and fixing a tattoo for me that another artist had done at a different studio in Spokane it was really cool. Also I was greeted the very second I walked through the door. They offered me a drink as soon as I got there. I mentioned I was cold during my tattoo & Molly stopped and immediately went to get me a heated blanket which was so nice! And then as I was going to check out of the appointment at the front desk they let me pick a cool sticker to take home. She went above and beyond & definitely gained a life long client. If you have the chance to book with her I definitely recommend it or booking with any of the other talented artists! The building itself is very aesthetically pleasing & so spacious & clean!

Ive gotten 2 tattoos from J and they are wonderful to be tattooed by. They were able to take a smorgasbord of ideas and references, mix all of it together, and make something unique. (The dnd dice). They were so much fun to chat with, they have a very steady hand, very talented, and overall the sessions are just delightful. Definitely getting another tattoo from J very soon.

I highly recommend Fortunata Tattoo Studio! I personally see Courtney and absolutely adore her and her work. She does whatever she can to make the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The studio itself is beautiful as well. Honestly I havent found any negatives other than the parking. It can be hard to find parking at times and there are some questionable characters around the area, BUT the staff at the studio are always willing to walk you to your car if you feel uncomfortable. I’ve gotten a ton of work done at Fortunata since it opened, I’ve never had a bad experience. She’s given me a couple tattoos now and I can never recommend her enough. Her style is so fun and funky and she’s always willing to listen and mix things up based on your preferences. All the artists there are so talented. The shop itself is so beautiful and has kind of a spa vibe, it definitely feels super upscale, but it’s not overpriced at all. Quality work and a great atmosphere.

My friend and I wanted to get back to back tattoos together and Matthew was able to book it for us. He took my idea for a skeleton court jester and ran with it and it turned into a truly incredible piece. Looking at his work you can see the amount of time, energy, and care he puts into each of his drawings for his clients. His line work is smooth and his shading is pure perfection. I sat for a couple hours but it felt like nothing at all. Having gone to artists with a heavy hand before, I can assure you that you won’t have to worry about that with him. You truly can’t go wrong booking with him. I’m excited to see how his talents will only improve over time, considering how great he is already. I can’t wait to eventually come back to get another one from him! Don’t hesitate to contact him with your ideas!

I am Brandon and for some reason my wife’s name is used for the review but anyway I have got 5 tattoos here and my artist/friend Ellis is always a great communicator and goes above and beyond when I put my trust her designs or revisions of old tattoos from other places that didn’t turn out so well. I am always 100% happy when I walk out. The building and environment is comfortable and inviting to always come back.

This was my third tattoo, and my first time at Fortunata! I worked with Courtney and she was amazing! I came in with a blurry vision of what I wanted, and she created something beautiful! The shop was clean and well decorated, and really makes you feel invited and welcomed. You can tell everyone really cares about what they’re doing, and it’s a good feeling to walk into! 10/10 recommend, and will be going back for future tattoos!

Yesterday was my first time working with one of the tattoo artists at Fortunata. I was welcomed by the kind staff as I arrived for my appointment with Bethany. Everything was clean & inviting in the beautiful space. Bethany was amazing to work with. I made a few last minute changes that she rolled with professionally. I truly appreciated and enjoyed her artistry & professionalism. The piece turned out amazing, our conversation made the time fly by and I will be back again soon. I also had a few after care questions (a few hours after I left) that were handled promptly and thoroughly. I recommend Fortunata and Bethany with the highest regards. Cheers

I recently spent an incredible 12 hours (2 sessions) in Ellis’s tattoo chair getting my latest tattoo. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome and couldnt be happier with the final result.Collaborating with Ellis on the story sleeve was an amazing experience. Their talent, creativity, and attention to detail truly brought my vision to life. The way Ellis captured the special people, places, and events in my life is nothing short of extraordinary. Each element of the tattoo holds a unique significance to me, and Ellis managed to incorporate them all seamlessly into the design. I am genuinely moved by the artistry and thoughtfulness Ellis put into the work.Ellis not only created a beautiful piece of art on my skin but also a lasting memory that I will cherish forever. Ellis was my artist. This was the first tattoo I got. Chose them because of my boyfriend and his family both get tatted by them. Their tats always look phenomenal, and her hand is pretty light! Pain was like a fingernail scratch. Artistry skills are always on point. Super super happy with my tat by Ellis….and I can’t wait for my next one.

Had the greatest experience ever. Got my first session on a large piece done by Molly and she did an amazing job. Was my sixth piece by her and she always kills it. Also got to meet a couple artists there and they’re all so friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the best shops I’ve been in and would definitely go back.

Absolutely loved my experience here! Contacted Bee a few months back to have my mother and I put down for matching mother daughter tattoos with a design I had etched out and she went above and beyond with both the service and the overall experience she provided. Have had work done at other shops in the area and this was by far the most comfortable I have ever been in a chair, not only is she a great artist but seems like the sweetest girl! The younger gentleman working the desk was also insanely helpful when it came to picking up some good aftercare products and seemed super knowledgeable in what he was selling. Will definitely be coming back for any future tattoos to keep working with Bee and the other amazing staff!

Very clean and adorable studio. Parking is on the street (it’s downtown spokane so obviously), but there’s quite a few spaces around. Definitely our new go to place.

This studio is absolutely amazing. The first time I went in I felt like I was going into a spa. Everyone is professional and welcoming. I came in to get a tattoo for my birthday gift. J was very helpful and they did a great job on my symbol. When I came in, I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted to place my tattoo but they were very patient and understanding. We shared good conversation and I felt comfortable with J. They were careful about their work station and keeping it sanitary throughout. I will definitely be back to see J and already have the next one planned.

I cannot recommend Fortunata Tatoo enough. The studio was clean, welcoming, and safe. It is obvious how much time has been spent making this space so inviting. All of the tattoo artists and staff are so wonderful! I spoke with many artists while I was being tattooed and every one of them were so kind and caring. I was even walked out to my car at the end of the appointment because it was dark out! Talk about great customer service.My tattoo artist was Kalypso and they were phenomenal! My tattoo was a rework and it truly could not have turned out better. Kalypso drew the piece to fit my existing tattoo beautifully and took so much time to ensure it was everything that I wanted. Wow, Ive never had a tattoo experience like this. The shop was beautiful decorated and I felt comfortable right away. Upon check-in I was offered water or coffee and then again I was asked if I needed anything when I checked out. I got a tattoo from Bethany and would 110% recommend her if youre looking to get a tattoo. It was hard for me to choose who to get a tattoo from because everyone at this shop is incredibly talented and kind.

Went and saw Bethany Phillips for a tribute tattoo for my grandpa, she did a phenomenal job and her attention to detail was incredible. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined and she made me feel so comfortable and welcome.

I love Fortunata! The space is modern, comfortable, and really well cultivated. Everyone I interacted with was friendly; I felt very welcomed and like I was in one of the coolest spots in Spokane.Ellie did an abstract partial sleeve on my arm, and they did a perfect job from free-handing the stencil, to tattooing with a delicate touch, to collaborating with me throughout the process. The tattoo has turned out very well after healing and a touch up from them. And it was just a treat to hang out with them.All in all, I would (probably will) get more tattoos here, in general and from Ellie!

Just visited with kalypso for a 6 hour tattoo that turned out amazing. This is my favorite shop in town its almost like a tattoo spa. Everyone is always so fun and friendly. All the artists have great work and are all super clean with their tattoo process.

I called last the day before I came into town for a musical and they found me an appointment! The studio was absolutely stunning! Not to mention clean, modern and very inviting. He took his time to make sure I was happy with the placement and answered my million questions! I am a total blabber mouth when Im nervous and he was patient. Kalypso is always amazing when I see her, she’s the loveliest person. Each time I’ve been with her she always ask how I’m doing and very friendly and full of giggles. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Fortunata is also very nice inside and lovely set up, the staff at the front were all super nice and friendly and quick to check me in. I love the aftercare the carry I’ve been using mad rabbit since last year and was low on one of the aftercare products so I was able to nab a new tube of it. I can’t recommend them and kalypso enough.

Ive only had great experiences here, having been tattooed by Courtney in the past. She puts a lot of care into making sure the design and placement are exactly what her clients want before she starts, and the care that she takes makes me feel safe and taken care of. I havent worked with the other artists at Fortunata yet, but I can only assume theyre all just as amazing!

I went in yesterday for my first tattoo with this shop. The shop itself is absolutely beautiful and the experience was a positive one from start to finish. I saw Ellie for my tattoo and I love it! I asked to change my stencil placement and there was absolutely no judgement and I felt confident in my ability to speak up about preferences. I’ve had plenty of tattoos before and that’s not always the case so I greatly appreciated it. The front desk staff was welcoming and efficient and offered me me free coffee/water and showed me the menu for the other snacks available! I will be going back next week for another tattoo! I would recommend them to anyone and am still impressed with the overall experience. 5/5!

Courtney is amazing. I gave her a few elements I wanted in my tattoo and I didn’t know how it would all fit together, but when she showed me the art I was so impressed. The environment is extremely comfortable with great lighting, so many plants and art, and you can tell everyone there is a passionate artist who just want to create.Also, I got a tattoo that wraps around my forearm. Courtney got it done in one 3-hour session and one 2-hour session. She’s extremely talented and works quickly to ensure she stays within your budget. I was always hesitant to get a bigger tattoo because I hadn’t found an artist I felt comfortable with enough to sit with for 5+ hours. Courtney made the time pass by quickly and she’s an all-around great person to hang out with even while she’s poking me nonstop for hours.And if there are any POC in Spokane looking for POC artists, Courtney is filipino. I’ve had my tattoo concept for years and she is the only person I could trust to represent filipino elements so well in my arm.

I love coming to this studio, everyone is so friendly and professional. I have been going to Courtney for a while now and she is amazing, she always talks through the tattoo when you get there and makes sure everything is how you want it and then when you go back to her area it is so comfortable and welcoming. Everything is so organized and its so easy to go in and fill out your paperwork before your appointment and then its also really easy afterwards and they always ask if I need any aftercare which is great!

I was extremely impressed from the moment I walked in. The place looked and smelled good. Kalypso designed mine and my oldest daughter’s memorial tattoo, honoring my youngest daughter who had passed away. Today was my youngest daughter’s birthday, so it meant a lot to us for the tattoo to turn out. Kalypso used my daughter’s thumbprints to make them look like Angel wings, a purple ribbon, a halo and she took my daughter’s handwriting of her name to add it under the Angel. I definitely will be using her again in the future!!

Fortunata is such a beautiful studio! I always have a great experience. It’s clean and everyone is so friendly. The tattoo quality is on point here. All the artists do gorgeous work. Highly highly recommend. All my tattoos are from Courtney and I have no plan to change that.

This was my first time at Fortunata and it has been a really great experience. I had considered going to a place I had been before and was familiar and happy with, Im grateful for trying something new! Communication has been great since I first heard from Detri. Before my first sitting, it was clear they were interested and invested in helping to create a piece that was meaningful and beautiful. They are thoughtful, professional and one hell of an artist! Im so excited for my second sitting tomorrow! And will be so proud and grateful to have a piece by Detri!

Absolutely best tattoo shop in Spokane with the friendly staff & most beautiful atmosphere. It almost feels like a spa when you walk in & it’s so clean too. During my tattoo appointment I was offered a heating pad to lay on for my comfort & my artist (Courtney) checked in often to make sure I was doing ok. She is so incredibly fast & did my tattoo in half the time she quoted me for ( 3 hr appointment done in 1 1/2 hrs), she also adjusted the price according to the time spent. Over all this is a shop the does it all & will prove their quality every time :)
