Second Son Tattoo

My wife and I just got tattoos from a visiting artist that Second Son was hosting, so I can only talk about the shop, not Second Sons own artists.That said, the shop is lovely! Bright, clean, and inviting. The decor shows the artists personalities but is still approachable for relative tattoo newbies (this was both of our second and first one in the DC area). You can tell the place takes professionalism and sanitation seriously. I would definitely come back for more work in the future!

Requested a fine line bird tattoo. The studio was very fast in getting back to me and booking an appointment. Alya was very nice and helped me in finding the best placement for my tattoo. She did a fantastic job with the tattoo. Absolutely love it and got everything I wanted (fine lines and fine shading).The Studio is very clean and professional.

Contacted via generic form on their website. Heard back within 24 hours and had an appointment booked shortly thereafter. Very professional, kind folks at this place. My artist was Blady and he did an amazing job! Great with detailed tattoos. The studio itself is extremely clean and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Memo did an awesome job working on the design for my custom tattoo. He was great at interpreting my overall vision for the piece, while incorporating his own creative ideas and personal style too. Very happy with how it came out

I absolutely recommend Second Son! I’ve worked with Kevin twice now and his artwork is incredible. The shop was clean, professional and located in a very safe walkable part of D.C. parking was easy and convenient . The shop is brand new and very spacious! 10 stars.

After having a bad experience (just inquiring about getting our first tattoo) we called here and asked if they were first time tattoo friendly and the guy on the phone sounded calm and said they are happy to take everyone and are patient.We got to the shop and had them draw up our designs. We tweaked it a few times and never were we made to feel like it was too much. We settled on what we wanted and are thrilled to have found this place.Front desk lady was amazing. Her attitude was great. She talked with us and made us feel comfortable. Our tattoo guy was kind and patient. We happen to be visiting from California but let me say this, I would fly back here just to get another tattoo from this place. I highly recommend you try them for your first or 50th tattoo.

I was visiting the DC area with friends for a weekend. We went through multiple calls to several different tattoo shops before we stumbled upon Second Son Tattoo. They were super accommodating and had great communication about availability and pricing for the tattoos that our entire group wanted. We let them know when we were arriving at the shop and then we received awesome customer service! They were patient and worked through each of our tattoo designs with care. Everyone loved their tattoos and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a tattoo shop! If you are local or just visiting, you should definitely go to this location to get tatted!

Got my first ever tattoo here with Israel (bladytattoos), and it was an amazing experience. Really easy communication with Alix to set up an appointment (and I even wrote down the time wrong, and they were still super flexible with me). Israel was super kind, attentive, and patient. It was a small, quick tattoo, but I didnt feel rushed at all. Totally obsessed with how it came out and grateful for his work!

Memo is so talented and gentle. He pays great attention to detail, not just with the tattoo itself but his clients. I went for a half day session on my inner arm, and he would suggest breaks at the perfect times. He could tell when I was getting too uncomfortable, even though I tried to hide it lol. Hes pricey but for good reason. If anyone should charge high it should be him. Hes also extremely loyal to repeat clients. Once you get tattooed by him its fairly easy to get in contact again!

Myself and four friends came into town and we really wanted small tattoos. This shop was the only one that would take us. And thank God because they were AMAZING!The were patient, accommodating, transparent with price through text message so we knew what to expect.I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Professional, efficient, clean (in more ways than one: also clean work!), tidy, and friendly! Definitely one of the better tattoo studios around.

Memo is the type of artist that cares more about the quality of his work than making money, and it shows in his work. His attention to detail is next-level. Great artistic instinct, too. He was able to add to the design I gave him and made it perfect. This guy is both talented and hard-working. He is going to be my go-to artist from now on, I dont even care if I have wait another year to get on his books again.

This was my first tattoo experience. I loved working with Lina. She was able to take my original idea and customize it in the ways I described. She was quickly able to sketch out what I wanted and rearrange it on the fly to make it perfect. I felt like the shop was very clean and professional. I’d absolutely do another fine line tattoo with Lina in the future! So young and so talented!

This studio is very high-end and pristine. Memo hooked me up with an amazing tat and exactly what I wanted. His skills are top notch and hes a good guy too. This dude gonna be famous one day.
