The Pittsburgh Tattoo Studio

Stopped in Sunday evening and made an appointment for the following Tuesday evening. Showed up on time and was in the chair 10 min later and done in just under an hour. Marcella (Marci) Hans did a fantastic job translating my 9 year old sons drawing of our dog into a great addition to my art collection. The shop was SUPER clean, well organized, and Marcella was an absolute JOY to work with. The pricing was more expensive than many area studios ($250) especially given the comparative simplicity of the piece but I’m very happy with the finished product regardless and I am excited to schedule my next tattoo. Again, the ONLY reason for 4 stars was the price and I have no other reservations about recommending PTS to others with that sole caveat.

A GREAT experience from the time of booking to the completion of my first tattoo!!Kane is an amazing,patient and very skilled artist. He took great care to make sure that he had my tattoo exactly the way I wanted. He explained the process and was very patient with me as I adjusted to the tattoo gun for my first time.The booking process was simple and smooth. The young lady who booked my appointment was super kind and knowledgeable.The studio is EXCEPTIONALLY clean and very aesthetically pleasing.I will be back soon for Kane to add more to the masterpiece he started.

Just recently got two tiny pieces of ink done at the Washington location. The overall atmosphere is laid back with a vintage living room aesthetic. If youre nervous about your first tattoo or not do run of the mill piercing, Id definitely check out this shop. Marci did my tattoos, and her linework is so clean and crisp even in such a small space.

My friend went here to get his septum done and the piercer herself seemed inexperienced and nervous . she said her experience was around one year. on her first attempt (because she had to pierce twice), she put it super high up— like we couldnt even see it. on her second try she upped the gage slightly and pierced lower, way lower, and pretty far back. it basically was resting on his lip and would move when hed talk or eat. two other certified piercers took a look at it, neither had good things to say. one even took it out for him. and when we asked for a refund they said no. just stick to tattooing maybe.

My best friend got his septum done here on his birthday, the person doing his septum pierced it through the cartilage very far up and in the back the first time, then offered to pierce it again after we said that this wasn’t right and pierced through the cartilage again, we went to another piercing place to have it removed bc it hurt him too much to touch, and when we came back for a refund they flat out refused and were not at all compliant. They are also very overpriced I would recommend somewhere else.

Got my septum pierced, staff was great and friendly but It definitely was in the wrong spot. Consulted another piercer and it was too far back in my nose. It got corrected a bit but I had to get it pierced twice, no extra charge though.

Jesse was fantastic with fitting us in on a slow day when we really need ink therapy for closure on an issue we were dealing with.VERY professional and attentive. Communicated with us to work out the final piece we were both getting.The price was around what we expected to pay.If / when we get back in the area, we would definitely go out of the way to schedule other work wed like.The studios were clean and elegant, well laid out and worth the visit :)

Walked in on a Saturday and got 2 quarter sleeves for me and the hubby 😁 not only were they able to get us in, they were amazing! Amy did mine and its super high quality work! Jesse did my husbands and his is amazing as well! We give 10 stars!

This place has some of the best artists in Pittsburgh. My wife and I have both gone in with visions of what we wanted, and left with pure artwork on our bodies. I would highly recommend Lauren!!

Amy has done 99 percent of my tattoos (I have quite a collection.) She is very talented and I only trust my skin to her. Beautiful and clean environment, and as I always say you pay for what you get in tattoo world. She is one of the best, and her prices reflect just that.

I just got a sunflower tattoo done by Amy and it is perfect! The staff was so friendly when I called a few weeks before with my ideas and scheduling. I was able to email them ideas of what I wanted and when I got to my appointment, Amy had drawn a perfect combination of my ideas for my tattoo. The studio is absolutely beautiful and clean, and Amy was so personable. I would definitely recommend them and love my tattoo!

Ive gotten tattoos at both the Dormont and Washington locations; both are beautiful, clean, and welcoming, as are the staff. Amy has an awesome business and does great work. Cant recommend enough!

I seen Lizzie last night for a cow tattoo with flowers and she was nothing but amazing! I was so hesitant going in to this tattoo not because of her abilities, but this is such a heartfelt piece that’s so close to my heart and I wanted it to be perfect and let me just say perfect is an understatement! I am so happy and grateful and have received nothing but compliments since I had it done. I’m going back to add more flowers May 22nd. Thanks for taking such great care of me Lizzie and making my ideas become reality!! Be seeing you soon!!

Got my first tattoo today. Everyone is very professional and easy to talk with. I will definitely to go there. Extremely clean and organized. Highly recommend. Big shout out to Lizzy who was amazing.

I had such a good experience here! The shop was beautiful and spotless and the staff was so nice. My tattoo was done by Lizzie who was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. The whole thing was a very positive experience and I highly recommend this shop.

They do train tattoos. I like trains. Hate Italian food, though.

They scheduled my appt at wrong location after I told them 3 times which one I wanted. Then tried to send me to the wrong location again after they already made the mistake.I missed work to come to the appt.I canceled the appt if they cant get that right I was concerned the tattoo I picked would not be correct.

Im just here to brag about Lizzie too!! She is extremely warm and welcoming talkative and made me feel very comfortable. This was my very 1st time here and I will definitely be back for all of my pieces from now on.

Just got a tattoo with my sister, butterflies, this was my first tattoo and I can tell you I enjoyed and loved the process it was amazing that tattoo artist was perfectly handed and the shading of the wings is beautiful, very sterile and clean environment, very professional, and I look forward to getting my second tattoo here and any other tattoo I decide to get 🥰

Please do not get scammed by the scheduling, totally totally overpriced for the work, there’s around 20 artists within the area that can do the same work if not better, for wayyyy cheaper and longer than 3 hour sessions for 7-800$🤣🤣

They were very nice and do great work going to try and get back out there today for more
