Got some fresh ink from Judy, who was amazing. Great conversation, and she did a fantastic job on the new ink! This is a very clean shop, and they actively work at all times to stay clean, and minimize any potential issues. Highly recommend!

We brought our son here for his graduation vacation 5 years ago. We were able to get in unscheduled and last minute, and he got his first tattoo. Awesome group of people.

Not only did I receive an awesome tattoo for my 2 day trip to Alaska but I had an appointment that was supposed to be for the day before and my flight got delayed and the owner fit me in first thing the next morning! Such a good experience and even better customer service. Will definitely be back and if you want a great tattoo at a reputable shop with great service this is the place you wanna go!

My tattoo artist is Jen and I highly recommend her. She is so incredibly talented! The studio has a fun, laid back atmosphere and every one of the artists are super nice. Jen has done 3 of my tattoos now and I will be back for more.

Miss Judy worked with me on a design and drew it up the way I wanted! The other staff I ran into there were very friendly, this place is clean and has good parking! If I lived in the area this would be my sole tattoo place! I am in love with my salmon! Thank you Miss Judy!

I was surprised with how fast I was able to get in. I called for a possible walk in but unfortunately they were booked up that day but I was able to schedule an appointment with Kein a week later on the 1st. The communication was great! Kein was awesome during my session! I really enjoyed my experience with him. I will definitely be going back ❤️ I can honestly say I finally found my tatt artist and I couldn’t be happier! Definitely will return for more work. Had a spontaneous placement over a very thick scar the was very satisfied with the whole experience. It pleased me greatly how I was treated and the quality of work I received by Dave Miller.

Had a great experience today! My fathers birthday was today (he has passed) and no where could fit me in to do a small handwriting piece. I called this morning and spoke with Kein and he promised to call if he could fit me in and scheduled me for the next day as a back up. I know he was probably crazy busy, but knew how much this tattoo, on this day, meant to me. He called me around 11 and got me in. He did an amazing job and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend this shop. He was a life savor today.

I love anchorage tattoo studio. All bit one of my tattoos have been done in this shop. My most current done by Kian, excellent artist, pulls nice lines, and shading is on point. Too bad hes leaving! If you want a solid tattoo from a reputable shop with great artists, go here.

Even though I totally screwed up and missed my appointment, they were able to get me in before I left town. Dave did a great job. 3 weeks later, Im very happy with the results.

Miss Judy is amazing!! We are in the process of a pretty big cover up on my leg, with a couple more sessions to go. It’s starting to come together and I’m pretty excited to see the end results 😌 It’s going to look amazing 🙃 I’ll post pictures when it’s finished. Got my first ever tattoo here, and I think I was Daves first ever irish customer too, he slotted me in by walk-in and stead afterhours to do a quick bit of ink on my arm, didnt even hurt! Legendary service, beyond generous, Ill be back

My mother and I decided to buy each other a tattoo for a Xmas gift. Contacted here for estimate and was responded to quickly and professionally.When we went in (we had back to back appointments) we met Kein, who was absolutely kind, welcoming and professional. I was happy to see that they took covid seriously and made sure everything was sanitized and clean.Kein did a wonderful job, even came up with a few options for us. During the tattoo process, he made sure that we were comfortable and was incredibly professional.Although he is a fairly new tattoo artist, he was awesome. He has great talent and so much potential. Got my first Tattoo done by Jenn. She created a custom tattoo for me. It was an amazing experience. If I return to Alaska, I will have Jenn tattoo me again

Scheduled an appointment by phone and met with Miss Judy to discuss ideas for my tattoo. She understood what I wanted and sketched out a couple of ideas, provided some feedback and we ended up with a clear picture of what I wanted - exactly! A two hour session with Miss Judy went by with great conversation, and before I knew it, we were finished. She has light hands but the Ink looks great and will stand the test of time. Thank you Miss Judy! I’ll be back next year for another!

Dave did a beautiful forget-me-not to add to my collection. The shop had strict covid accommodations (which I appreciated) and scheduled two appointments in a row so that my friend could get his design done as well.

I have never had such a comfortable tattoo experience on top of high quality work until now. Dave is very easy-going, patient, and all about giving the highest quality pieces. Wont be going to any other places in Anchorage. This is THE place.

I got my first two tattoos here. Both experiences were great. Kirk did a gorgeous piece on my side..I had shown him pictures of some lovely roses I found online, he took those and made them his own (beeeeeautiful!). He also made sure that it the piece was shaped to my body. I was incredibly impressed. They were also sensitive to the fact that I live out of town and were able to work with me (with prior notice). If you are ever in need of absolutely beautiful ink then I suggest coming here!! Personally I see miss Judy , after so many not so great experiences with other artists (@ other shops) I finally found her and I am so glad I did. I will be going there for all future work hands down. Currently working on a sleeve which half of was a cover up . Everyone else I talked to about it said was impossible to do with my arm still turning out good. I honestly thought I was stuck with that awful work forever and she made quick work of it and you can’t tell it was there at all!! I’ll upload pictures after my next session or two! With her 40 years of tattooing she will not disappoint 🙃

Dave was awesome! I had a rough idea of what I wanted and he took the idea and ran! He made up multiple copies with slight adjustments until it was exactly what I wanted. I was very impressed. Hes also really nice and has this super calm vibe.

Ms Judy did a color correction for my arm tattoo. She was generous enough to do two session to touch up the outline and then fill in the black and purple. She is a genuine person and took the time to do my Toothless tattoo even though she was very confused what kind of dragon i meant. I gave her several references and she did a great job!

Best tattoo shop Ive found so far. Went in to cover up an old, scarred black ink tattoo and no one can tell there was ever anything there before. The best tattoo Ive gotten so far and weirdly one of the cheapest. Definitely plan on going back sometime soon, got lots more ink to get.

Larry Allen, his son, his ex- Ms. Judy, and Mason have all tattooed me over the years(96-2003). Almost all my tarts are from them. The few that arent were done in lower 48(Denver, Co, Maui, Hawaii, & Sacramento California) but they have all heard about Larry Allen and his associates, knew of his/their work. So if I get another tattoo while living here in Anchorage, Larry Allens will be the place I go to.

1987 my first ink by Larry. My first borns name on my back. It still looks amazing to me after 30 years. Fast forward to 1999, my husbands first ink by James [Allen], Larrys son. A monumentalization tribute to his young son, a wrist band of purple irises & his name, the i dotted with a HEART instead of a tear, as my husband first thought to get. Thank you James for this kibitz. Now heres the irony of my story, my younger sister is married to James in these years and now has a beautiful raven in the centrum of aurora borialis around her ribs spanning upwards onto her back.Tattoo machines are magic wands quote Lyle Tuttle, but the artist & creator behind the machine is imprinting more than just magic, its from their heart too, coalescing ink to last a lifetime. Great shop that does great work! My friends and I popped in during our first trip to Alaska after deciding to get some impromptu tattoos to commemorate the occassion and even without an appointment they got us in no problem! (Im sure if we got bigger pieces it wouldve posed more of a problem as their next appointment came in as we were getting out but the whole shop crew was super friendly the whole time and fast! So happy they managed to squeeze in three walk ins!)My artist was Kathie and she was fantastic! She was so friendly the whole time and made sure to check in and make sure I didnt need a break even though I was only in her chair for about 20 to 30 minutes. She recommended I use a dry heal method which I hadnt done before but my piece is healing beautifully (even with hopping on a plane less than 12 hours later!) and Ive had nothing to worry about regarding it (outside of the expected itchiness!)If I was local Id definitely be back! If Im ever in Anchorage for another trip Im already planning on making an appointment at the oldest tattoo shop in Alaska!
