Lai (owner) graciously accomodated us after we inquired to walk-in. She called us when she had an opening and we were able to get our design drawn out and started really quickly. She took our Inspo pic and created an image to our liking and adjusted where we requested. The shop has a $100 minimum. It was really clean and being that there were three of us getting a friendship tattoo, we watched her rigorous change out of tools and other materials at her station between each of us. We will be back and highly recommend SDI Tattoo.

I went to Lai for my first tattoo since moving to Alaska, and Im in love. Im for sure coming here next time for any future ink therapy sessionsI definitely recommend coming here for any tattoo ideas or requests 😁

I came upon SDI Tattoo from a friend referral. Immediately I loved the shop and the decor. It is so clean and well maintained.Lai was my artist and we vibed the entire session! Her design was exactly what I asked for and will match my previous work perfectly. Not only is her work beautiful, but her personality is so awesome, and I had the best tattoo healing experience of my life. A little over a week since my appointment, there’s been almost no peeling and there’s not a flaw on it.I plan on seeing her every year during my visits to Anchorage to finish my sleeve, so if you take my recommendation and see Lai, tell her Shelby sent you so I can hear about it the next time I get some work done 😎

This was my first tattoo experience and i absolutely loved it! I’m still shocked on how amazing my tattoo looks, I’m consistently getting compliments online and in person “That tattoo looks insane bro” “The detail is crazy”. I knew for my first one I wanted to get quality ink, from a great tattoo artist and everybody kept recommending Warren from SDI. I love Skin Deep Ink Tattoo! I think all of my tattoos are going to be from SDITattoo from now on. They are very professional very kind and the owner makes sure to only hire people who know what they are doing. This place is great! I went to Lai for my first tattoo which obviously I was nervous about but not only did she make me feel comfortable but she was an amazing artist and her line work is amazing! I am in love with my tattoo and I will definitely be back for more.

PHENOMENAL!!! came in after work spontaneously just to see if they had walk in discussed my idea with lei and she accommodated my wants with such ease i got tattooed that night, i loved everything about this shop so much that i came back a couple days later for more !!! I just got my first tattoo here on Wednesday. All staff were really friendly, polite, and made sure I was getting what I wanted. Lai did a wonderful job turning my idea into a design that I absolutely love and they truly care about you and your tattoo before and after you enter the shop! It was clean in store and beautifully designed. 10/10 experience. Ill be going back for my next one!

Visiting Alaska for a week and were able to get 4 people booked for smaller pieces on short notice. Worked with Jos and could not have had a better experience. Came up with awesome designs based on our requests and executed perfectly. Entire place was super clean and all staff we interacted with were awesome

Ended up in anchorage for new years weekend. Myself , a buddy and my girlfriend ended up bothering a nice lady by the name of Lane for a last minute tattoo crave before my buddy left the state. She made time out of her holiday to spend practically the whole day with us the day of the new year! She was phenomenal and very knowledgeable. Shop is pristine. Clean and gorgeous. The tattoo experience itself was pretty awesome, was my first tattoo and it went great! I myself ended up getting a Jolly Roger of the straw-hat crew. My girlfriend ended up with a cute fire weed and my buddy ended up getting a touch up on a piece and the penguin from hello kitty. All were stunning. 💯% will be back!

This was my first tattoo and I was very nervous. I texted a couple pictures referencing what I wanted and a short description. Three flowers, with a leafy vine, and a dragon fly.When I came into my appointment I was blown away by Lai’s results. She had sketches ready, and it was exactly what I envisioned. All my nervous feelings went away.It was calm environment, with phone holders so I could comfortably prop my phone, comfortable seating, with snacks and drinks. I am excited to start planning my next piece and would recommend you come here for any and all your tattoos.

My husband and I decided to get tattoos on a weekend trip to anchorage and they were able to fit us in that day! It was both of our first tattoos and we had a great experience all around. The staff was super friendly and answered all the questions we had. We had Jennifer and she was very helpful with deciding sizing and placement and great to work with! Lai did an AMAZING job! I told her what I was wanting and she designed the tattoo. Even though I was super picky about placements and sizing, she was patient with me and got it absolutely perfect! She was very kind and chatted with me while she worked, which was a nice distraction from the pain as I have a low pain tolerance. Her pricing was more than fair and I’m still amazed that she designed this. This is my favorite tattoo of the ones I have and I’m so pleased with her work! 10/10 recommend!

Got my first tattoo from Warren Oliver 3 years ago. Spent all day focused on me and my tattoo. Came back 3 years later and he made my tattoo look brand new and even better with minor additions.Ive been in twice the past month to see Sims who did two American traditional tattoos. An eagle on my neck and a rose on my wrist. He nailed it with the line work, shading and color. Handled the pressure well with the neck tattoo. 😂This is the only tattoo shop Ive been too and will continue to go to. The artists and Warrens wife make you feel like family, have hilarious stories, professional, clean and take their work very serious. They aim to always improve and be the best in Anchorage and in my opinion, they are.They quickly answer my messages when I have questions and check in on you over time. Dont hesitate to get your next tattoo done here. Go in and see for yourself.

Normally, I go to one tattoo artist but since they were booked I was looking around and this particular tattoo shop caught my eye. The atmosphere and vibe was amazing, I certainly felt at home. Tyler did an amazing job on my sunflower and spine tattoo. Definitely going to have to come back and get some more done. 10/10 would recommend getting your tattoo done there, whether it be your first time or not. My tattoo is all line work and its amazing. My moms tattoo was pretty small this round, but is going back for some watercolor background work. Sditattoo went above and beyond to fix my tattoo and I can finally show it off. They were willing to stay way past work hours to finish my tattoo. Amazing shop! Lai and Warren are some of the most client friendly proprietors I’ve met! The shop is clean and beautiful. They have snacks and drinks (COMPLEMENTARY) for their clients along TVs with movies or online browsing for the clients’ pleasure. They are knowledgeable in the art of tattoos. They explain the entire process, from ideas, execution of said ideas into tattoos, and healing, in extreme detail for each client. They also have periodic guest artists from around the world who travel to Anchorage to specifically work at their shop. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a new tattoo!

I have only worked directly with Warren and Lai, so I can speak to my experience with them. I’ve never been to a more professional or over-the-top caring business as the one they have. Warren definitely cares a lot about his customers and wants to do EXACTLY what you want and pays very close attention to detail. He’s very professional, yet personable. Lai works really hard in making sure you feel taken care of and goes the extra mile to accommodate you and follow up afterwards. I will only go here for my tattoos from now on and I don’t mind how long the wait might be. It’s worth it.

If you want the most awesome customer service and ink, then SDI Tattoo is the place for you. Warren and Lai put you first and treat you like family. This beautiful, modern, and VERY clean shop is the best I have ever gone to. I traveled from Oregon just to have Warren add some ink. He is a very busy artist and worked hard to fit me in (with 5 months notice). Warrens hourly rate is VERY reasonable for what you are going to get from this shop. Its a total experience with a beautiful piece of artwork on you when finished. What I got most was a tattoo that wasnt hamburger meat or scabbed up (older skin). Thats a first. The compliments on the ink seem to be endless. Thank you to our Alaskan family!

This place is amazing. I went in with an idea for a cover up and Warren was able to make it happen and make it look better than I hoped for. Had my first experience at SDI last month. Got a small palm tree on my wrist, nothing too complicated. Warren, who owns the business along with his wife, was dwindling and very willing to do the tattoo. The entire process was easy and relaxing. They even provide snacks and entertainment while you wait. Warren took my idea and put more effort in than I imagined. The tattoo came out beautifully and impressive detail. I will CERTAINLY be returning for future artwork from SDI.

So in the summer of 2020 I decided that I was going to get my 1st tattoo. I looked at a couple of tattoo shops around town and had decided on one even though they were not friendly or welcoming, but I really wanted a tattoo. Then I visited SDITATTOO and I was greeted the moment I entered the doors by Lai. Immediately I felt the warmth of this place and thats when I knew this was the place I was going to get my tattoos done.I got 5 small tattoos done my 1st time by Nik and the experience was amazing. Then I came back 2 months later and Nik did a bigger forearm piece, which I absolutely love.Then in February of 2021, I went and started a full arm sleeve with Sims, which turned out fabulous. I have a back tattoo scheduled with Warren in April that Im super excited for!This shop is amazing, the people are friendly, its a welcoming environment and yes they answer my questions on Instagram. I plan on getting plenty more tattoos at this wonderful, clean shop. Hopefully youll give them a visit!

Johnny is amazing! Lai and Warren are both kind and helpful, but Ive only had a tattoo worked on by Johnny. The left is the original tattoo done by someone out of state over the course of 4 hours... the correction and beautiful, amazing job on the right was done by Johnny in less time than it took the original artist.I will definitely be going back, and am happy and excited to have found a tattoo shop where I am comfortable, and everyone is happy to help you not only have a great experience, but the tattoo that you truly want.

Warren and his staff, has been the far best business I have visited in awhile!! Due to their customer service, friendly staff and willingness to listen to customer opinions/ideas, I will never get my tattoos from any other shop! The place is awesome. Hospitality is off the charts. The detail, and color of the work they produce is amazing. Rates are good. Theyre very accommodating when it comes to moving around the hours and appointments in case work gets in the way. Hands down one of the best tattoo parlors Ive been to. Including the lower 48. He and his wife stayed with me until 0230 in the morning to get as much work done as possible and then drove me home! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I walked into the shop the other day and asked to get a septum piercing, I was able to leave with my piercing within 20 minutes! Everyone I talked to was extremely nice, and Rachael was just a sweetheart. She talked me through everything that she was doing, and was very professional and clean. They gave me a brochure with instructions on how to keep my piercing clean, and it had Rachaels business card stapled on so I can reach her if I need help. The shop was very clean and professional looking, Im only going to go to this shop for my piercings now.

Warren, Lai, and the entire crew at SDI were incredible. Warren was committed to working through the night on my tattoo, with Lai coming through with food and water throughout. I got my tattoo done by Warren at SDI earlier this month. If youre looking for quality, cleanliness and professionalism, look no further. With covid-19 among us, the depth they go into deep cleaning after every client is unparalleled. I came back a day later to get my freshly tattoo wrapped and even so, he sanitized his work station prior to just wrapping my leg. I literally couldve just stood up for him to wrap it but that just shows how much they are willing to take care of their clients even a simple task of wrapping a fresh tattoo. Warrens attention to detail is like no other. See my pics for proof. They provide water, a tablet and earphones to watch movies and TV shows, light snacks and the shop has a great sense of humor. Lai and Warren are a dynamic couple that run an absolutely amazing business with a fantastic staff! The shop is meticulously maintained, they hold the highest standards for themselves and create gorgeous art! I’m so happy that I found them for my Japanese sleeve!

By far the best tattoo shop in Alaska. They always work with me when something comes up with Army. The shop is always clean and smelling good. They have snacks and drinks for their clients. Everyone there makes you feel welcome and most important family. Recommend everyone to their shop

They go above and beyond for customers, offering snacks, Netflix, stress balls, or whatever else to help you feel comfortable. Warren works with you until the design is just right, discusses options, and even stays late if needed. All around great place to go.

Rachel pierced both my nostril and daith while I was living in AK for the summer. I was hesitant at first to go because I had my nose pierced twice elsewhere before I went to here and both times it was not a great experience and didnt end up healing well. Rachel was extremely professional and friendly. She was very helpful and had a great selection of jewelry. The shop was very clean and the receptionist was super nice! She gave me a tour of the whole shop while Rachel was getting set up. They had some snacks and drinks in the waiting area (although I didnt have to wait long for the piercing). A couple months later and my piercings are healing very well. Would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone looking to get pierced, plus her insta is so nice and always inspiring me to get more holes poked in me lol

This tattoo shop is LEGIT, not only did Warren bring my idea to life he exceeded my original goal of it. I highly recommend this shop if you want high quality work done at a fair price! Not to mention an overall encouraging, generous vibe.

I would rate my experience at SDI is comparable to that of a 5 star resort. Before the tattoo process even began I was fed the best sandwich I have ever had in my 36 years of existence. I was blown away by not only the hospitality of the shops owners (Warren and Lai) but the knowledge and professionalism of Warren. I feel it would be a disjustice to call this man just an artist. A master of his craft would be more suiting. I never once had to ask for anything. Lai ensured that I had everything to make my experience as pleasent as possible. At one point I noticed that there had been no other customers in the shop, and thats when they explained to me that the shop was mine for the day. Needless to say you get what you pay for and in this case I feel I was undrcharged for this amazing experience.

This shop was amazing! They were able to fit me in for an appointment last minute since I was only in town for a few days. The staff was very friendly and had me laughing almost the whole time. They did a great job explaining to me what to do and expect during the healing process and even personally messaged me a few days later making sure everything was ok.I definitely plan on coming back in the future for more work. Just got my knee done by Nik. All the artists in the shop have tremendous talent and attention to detail. Great environment and friendly. Beyond greatful for the detail put into this. Wish I had more time in Alaska to keep coming back. Military friendly too!

Best place to get a tattoo in Alaska period. The shop has nothing but good vibes and Warren and Lai are some of the best people you could meet and actually care about getting you what you want plus Warren is definitely one of the best artist In Alaska by far. SDITATTOO by far has the best customer service from having snacks, drinks, entertainment (PS4/Netflix on individual screens plus wireless headsets) and charging ports in the couch for clients. They take time using your inputs to make a one of a kind tattoo; paying special attention to details to make it perfect. They also follow up within a week or two to ensure your tattoo is healing properly. I would hands down recommend them!

The environment is so great and welcoming , i went in for my first tattoo on my 18th and as i was leaving the entire shop sang me happy birthday and went out of their way to surprise me with a cake. 100/10 experience left so happy with my artwork , definitely coming back in the future

Got my first tat ever in April with SIMM at 60 years young. Everyone gives all the stories about itchin and scabbing. I was a little apprehensive but what the hell, I’m getting my tattoo. Which looks awesome. Thank you SIMMI did not feel a thing and the recovery time with the saniderm bandage was amazing. I was able to shower as normal and no itching, scabbing or anything out of the normal. Took the bandage off and the tat is AMAZING. I’ve had hangnails that were more invasive.Everyone onsite was great and just wanted to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself, which I did immensely. Great artist and a great time I will remember always. I’ll be going back for more.

My grandson had tattoo done a sleeve. The work was A Plus Plus perfect. Workmanship. Considering my grandson has ADHD and they keep the client relaxed and my grandson sat for over five hours straight without wiggling superb job guys

At least for the time being, theyve stopped doing piercings, but the receptionist was very kind and referred me to another local piercing studio. SDI looked very clean and professional though.
