I had the opportunity to work with Levi, an apprentice at the shop. He did an amazing job. You don’t often find artists who are as compassionate and down to earth as him. His communication was excellent and I never once felt like he was unapproachable or intimidating, like I have felt with artists in the past.I appreciated his artistic integrity and honesty during the planning process and even though we changed the design a couple times, I’m so happy with what I ended up with.I am extremely happy with the design and execution, I felt very well cared for during the tattoo. He was very compassionate, valuing my comfort and pain tolerance, and very encouraging during the rough parts. He communicated very well during each stage, from beginning to end and If I could recommend anyone to get their first tat from a specific artist, it would 100% be Levi.

This place is so kickass definitely the best shop I’ve ever been to. Everyone is so welcoming, the shop is top-notch clean, and every experience I’ve had here (5) has been incredible!!!The shop piercer, Kayla, has done my most recent 3 piercings and we jive so well. She is so insanely skilled and makes me feel very safe along with keeping an extremely well maintained and clean workspace. She has helped me in my time of need with no notice when the backing fell off my labret, and has pierced me excellently four times now. Her jewelry selection is great only working with high quality pieces and she is very well-versed in her craft along with just being super cool, kind, and funny!! Can’t wait to be back!I’ve gotten three tattoos with Levi and he has been so careful, kind, and accommodating. He checks in frequently and makes sure everything is going right. He is extremely attentive and even though I cannot keep still he can handle it! His artwork is also S tier, I had him do my knees and the piece he came up with is still my favorite and is so beautiful, I get compliments on it all the time. Great convos and an overall great dude! I am so happy I found him and am so excited to go back when I’m able!!Shop is a 10/10!!!

I got my bridge and other piercings here it was the best experience and I love the piercer so much she is the sweetest person ever with the most beautiful selection of jewelry! I won’t buy jewelry anywhere else for sure! Tanner did one of my tattoos and he’s one of the most talented and kind people ever! his line work is the absolute best. And Kevin did a leg sleeve for me in his own style of bio organic art work! He is so creative and nice:) everybody there is the absolute kindest and best I won’t go anywhere else !

I got snakebites done here as my very first face piercing experience. I was incredibly nervous but the piercer made me feel right at home, she was absolutely amazing and took good care of me, and my piercings turned out amazing! Wonderful experience, earned my loyalty for sure!

I had called for a walk in and they were able to squeeze me in two days after calling, which I really appreciated since I was leaving within three days. I walked in and it was clean and the staff was very friendly. The artist who had done my tattoo was Jake, he’s the bomb! He made me comfortable compared to other artists and we had talked about interests we had in common. The prices were very reasonable and affordable. I would definitely recommend this place and Jake for your tattoos!Edit : I just had another tattoo done at the shop, this time the artist who had tattoo’d me was a woman named Penny. She did amazing! We didn’t talk much during the session, but when we did she always checked if I was okay with the pain. I would’ve definitely given Penny a much deserved larger tip if the atm was restocked. Thank you Penny, I look forward to getting more tattoos from you!

If I could give zero stars I would because of how unhappy my poor husband is. He has been waiting a year to get into his appointment with Jake. He has been in contact with jake’s assistant who apparently never relayed a single message. I paid for my husband to fly to anchorage from Fairbanks for his appointment that apparently was never verified. All he was told was sorry after we paid for the flight and a deposit when he showed up at the shop. No compensation was offered or anything after they messed up. I called to talked to them and just got the run around. Absolutely do not recommend them.

I go to Rachael for my piercings and she is fantastic! Her workspace (and the whole shop, for that matter) is super clean, the young man who runs reception is fast and polite, and Rachael is very knowledgeable and good at piercings. She is fast and accurate with those needles and doesn’t waste any time beforehand while you sit there getting anxious. She ‘gets it over with’ very quickly and instead spends more time at the beginning helping you pick quality jewelry that looks great and looks great with what you already have; and after your piercing explaining proper aftercare to you. If, after your appointment, you have any problems or concerns or just need advice, she is quick to respond to messages. She has beautiful jewelry too! I am probably older than the majority of her other customers, and she has also been super sensitive to my need to wear more ‘unobtrusive’ nose jewelry in my professional environment while at the same time helping me to find more sparkle and bang for my ears, which I can cover at work! I just love that! Thanks Rachael! You are great!

I received a Helix piercing here.I was very impressed with the cleanliness and professional feel. Prices are reasonable for quality of jewelry and services.I personally had a couple questions that were able to be answered fairly quickly through messaging and was able to get everything figured out by the next day.I would recommend for Rachel directly for piercings and after being there a couple times, I will more than likely come back for some tattoos too.

Rachael has been my go-to girl for YEARS. I went to her after a bad experience with a piercer in the valley and she far exceeded my expectations. I had been really nervous getting pierced again, but she’s incredibly educated and has a very relaxing presence. She also has an amazing selection of jewelry and can even special order things for you. She’s pierced me 14 times now and every experience is just as fabulous as the last; I’ll never see anyone else for my piercings. Whenever my friends need anything, I bring them all the way into anchorage to see her because I want everyone to experience being pierced by Rachael ❤️

I’ve been getting tattooed for 20yrs and this was the most underwhelming experience I’ve had since that time. Tanner was supposed to be the artist to do the work. Well, we didn’t get there. Paid my deposit and was told that around a day before that I would get a call to come in and go over the art as to make any changes. That never happened. Day of, I receive a text stating his car broke down and needed to push the appointment back an hour or so. Needed to find a ride. Not my problem but it really was no problem, we got a lot of snow that day so I understood. This was around noon. FFW to 5-6 hours later, with zero communication in that time, he tells me his phone and car are broke. What happened to the ride bro? You couldn’t communicate that? Uber doesn’t exist? Guess you couldn’t get a ride or borrow a phone? I had two appointments with this guy. An appointment for each hand. He wanted to do both at the next appointment. I declined because I work with my hands and wanted two separate appointments in order to give healing time, and because obviously he’s unreliable. Well, I was offered my deposit back. He said I’ll Venmo it over, which was over a month ago. Still waiting on that deposit there Tanner? Tell ya what, keep it and buy yourself a clue bro. Your communication is reminiscent of a toddler and your professionalism is pedestrian at best. I took the day off work only to sit around and wait for something, anything. When I reached out to Tanner days later to ask why he ghosted me he told me “I wasn’t his only client”. I may not be his only client but I took time out of my life to research several shops in town to pick this one, took the day off, and waited 2 months for the appointment only to be out the deposit and tattoo. Anyway, cheers and keep doing what your doing I’m sure you’ll go far!Getting a tattoo is a big deal, it’s on your body forever. The last thing someone will want is a tattoo that reminds them of a negative experience. I would never recommend this shop, especially Tanner.

Rachel did my nose piercing today.She did a wonderful job. I have never had myNose done before. She was wonderful. I highly recommend her. She put me at ease on getting my nose done. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The place is very clean. I recommend anyone to go get your piercings and Tattoos there. Thank you Rachel. You are so awesome 😎.

Rachael is amazing at doing piercings here. Every single piercing Ive ever gotten with her have been easy and as painless as possible. She is so professional and experienced and I could never imagine going to anyone else for my piercings. They also have a great selection of jewelry to choose from.

I have gotten four piercings by Rachel over the past month. My second lobe, daith, and yesterday I got the rook. Such a great experience! Rachel is quick, sweet, and very professional. I definitely had no concerns for cleanliness or sanitation. Totally recommend!

Rachael Peltier is a friggin unicorn. She just became Alaskas only Association of Professional Piercers certified piercer.... so if you want the most up to date in best practices and aftercare, shes it. I am extremely uncomfortable with my body most of the time, and shes just so nice that I kinda forgot to be uncomfortable.The space.... the space is gorgeous. Theres tattoo art everywhere, and you can tell that the artists appreciate the history and art of tattooing.Id honestly hang out there just to bask in awesomeness 😁

I got my first tattoo here last year, and have gone back several times! Sydny is extremely talented, I began a half sleeve last week and she came up with the most beautiful piece for me! I cant wait to get the shading and color done! Shes done small and large pieces on me and Ive been very happy with them all! 💕

Jake was Awesomesauce!!!We promised our son that when he turned 18 we would get his first tattoo. Jake made our son feel comfortable and show him proper care for tattoo. He did an amazing redesign of our sons concept to fit his body and personality. His friends were amazed as well.We are just greatful for the whole experience. We know that when we do come back home to Anchorage we know where to go for any other add-ons, not just for our son but for us as well.

This shop is amazing and clean! I’ve had work done by both Jake and Sydny and they are both awesome. I also got my nose pierced here and Rachael did a great job and made sure I knew what to expect and how to care for my piercing. I can not recommend this shop enough.

Had my first tattoo done by Sydny, and it was awesome. I really have no complaints. She did a really fantastic job, and everyone who sees my tattoo can agree to that. Everyone that I interacted with in the shop was incredibly courteous and professional. I would recommend this shop over and over again.

Rachael was great and did an amazing job on my piercing, she was very quick and there was literally no pain. The shop was incredibly clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend it and will continue to visit them in the future.

I made an appointment with Tanner one month ago and paid my $100 deposit. I was very impressed with the shop and was excited to get my new ink, so much so that I didnt mind the 4 week wait. The day before Tanner texted me and said He didnt realize I was booked because of a mistake by a former employee. That seemed strange since I came in a week before to get an idea of how much my work would be since he only takes cash. Another artist was able to look up my appointment and took a msg for Tanner to get ahold of me. Never heard from him. Day of the appointment,I get a call an hour before my time saying Im running mad behind on my client and can I come in at 5:30 instead of 4? I do have my own life and responsibilities but I agree, I get caught up in work and run 30min late. Tanner then starts scolding me about how we agreed on a time and that I blew it, Hes not doing the tattoo. Asked him if It would interfere with the next client but no, hes going home. I have no patience for unprofessional prima donnas who think it is a privilege for customers to pay them money. Went to Hardline tattoos and the was able to sit down , design my tattoos AND GET THE WORK DONE THAT NIGHT.

I went in a week ago for a septum piercing, and Rachael was amazing! She was extremely nice, and so was the gentleman at the front desk. The facility was exceedingly clean and inviting. Maybe Ill get to come back for a tattoo someday!

Definitely my go to for piercings. Rachael is amazing. She makes sure that the piercing you are wanting will fit correctly and will recommend others if it doesn’t. After care she is a text away and always super helpful.

I love this shop! I came here on a recommendation from a friend who had wanted to work with Jake, but couldnt because his appointments are booked so far out. I met with Jake and he recommended I work with another artist there- Sydny. I could not be happier, and Im so glad Jake connected me with Sydny. He runs a clean and professional shop, and only works with amazing artists.Sydny is awesome! I came in knowing nothing about tattoos, and she had amazing patience with me, and limitless suggestions. Her work is AMAZING. Ive been working with her for 3 months now, and have 6 pieces, and she is always flexible, professional, friendly, and TALENTED.I only came in for these 6 pieces, but I think Im hooked for life now :)

I tried getting a tattoo from Christian Lyze. It didnt go well at all. So 2 days before the appointment he sends me his 1st draft and of course I tweak it, i say i dont want such and such, I think like maybe 3 details but i said specifically that the face of the rabbit was spot on and i told him to not change the face. He says okay, see you on Saturday. I come in Saturday and he shows me his final draft.. it was a whole new picture, new head and everything and I said can I get the old head back? I said that I liked the old head and he said No... because apparantly he gave MY first design to somebody else, someone else is getting my June bun (my baby rabbit that I miss so much) tattooed on them and they dont even know the story behind the tattoo, not to mention it was part of my designs for my tattoo and he just gave it away and I said why did you do that? and he said because I said I didnt like any of if and I told him that was a lie. He said that I didnt say the head was perfect and I was like I have the texts and he said so do I but I ACTUALLY brought out my texts and proved him wrong. He got mad and stormed to the back grabbed his wallet, forced my deposit back to me therefore basically firing me as a client even though I was willing to leave the deposit because it was a deposit afterall but he said he didnt even want it and not to mention this whole interaction took about 40 minutes because he kept walking away from me while I was trying to get his attention to talk. Thank you to whoever actually read through the whole thing. This was my first professional experience, but yet somehow getting tattooed in my cousins bedroom was a less stressful experience. Do not go to him, the other artist may be nice but Ive never met them personally, I just know that Christian Lyze is so unprofessional and even sassy. That is all.

I would never get a tattoo by Jake, or Sydny. And let me tell you why you shouldn’t either.I think Jake, and Sydny are the two most morally out of tune people I’ve ever worked with. These two people used me, and my resources, they invited people into my place of buisness I had major problems with, not only talked badly about me in my own shop themselves, but they also allowed other people to say, and do whatever they wanted in my shop.To me, Sydny is one of the most dramatic people I’ve ever meet. She lies about people by taking bits of information, and then molding it all together to create a story for others. If she put that much energy into her artwork, she would have been a lot better of a tattooer by now. But the gossiping consumes her, in my eyes.Sydny told Jake that I didn’t verbally attack her and I begged Jake to clear my name in town, and he promised me he would, well weeks went by and I kept asking, and then he started to act like he didn’t know what I was talking about... completely ignoring the situation knowing good-n-well, him, and her, were in the wrong!These two people I considered family, my good friends, people that I could trust, and the matter of the fact is, I still love, and care for them, and they still continue to drag my name through the mud in this town, all because they are too childish to admit they did anything wrong, and they are too childish to come talk to me, and work this out like adults.Jake and Sydny used me, lied to me, treated me like I was worthless, then, they gave me absolutely NO notice when they quit, after years of telling me they were going to give me notice, and they did all of this to a person that loves them, and cares for them. Imagine what they say about you when you leave their shop not being their close friend, or someone that considers them family.These people have absolutely NO Respect, and I can go on all day about how wrong it is that I got the short end of the stick and how, while these two continue to prosper, and drag my reputation around in the dirt. They have NO idea the time, and energy I put into them, and how bad my heart hurts knowing they just don’t care.Jake and Syd, you two know where to find me, come make this right. That’s all I want is some closure on my life, because the way you treat people is WRONG.Shame on you two.

Rachel was very responsive, quick, and calming. I cant remember the last time I was able to choose my jewelry and go back for a piercing so quickly.
