I had the best experience at the Diablo Rojo on S. Lamar. The front desk worker (I believe her name is Kate) was extremely sweet and helpful. She helped me pick out some perfect jewelry and answered all my questions. My piercer was Gill and he was so kind and knowledgeable and really made sure I had the anatomy for the piercing I wanted. He also helped me remove a piercing I got from a different company that was done poorly. Was the best experience I had at piercing studio. Highly recommend!

Had my septum piercing done by Teresa and they were amazing! Super thorough with sanitation and they did a great job of talking my friend and I through the process and dealing with our nerves. Highly recommend!

I came in on Monday 8/12 for a jewelry change for my rook since I lost a ball on the original bar. I have had this piercing for 4 years and haven’t had any problems with it in a long time. I picked a basic bar and the woman up front looked at what jewelry I had in previously and said that the bar would be fine. I had them put it in for me.One week later, 8/19, my rook is red, swollen, and I’m in pain. Once I took the jewelry out, the pain and redness go away in a couple of hours, but it’s still a little swollen.Today, 8/21, I bring in the bar they sold me last week and a picture of the bar I had in before. After comparing them, my original bar was a little longer and more curved than the bar they sold me. I had to buy a new piece of jewelry and opted to not have them install it for me since I didn’t want to spend any more money (each piece of jewelry was over $40). If I wasn’t going out of town tomorrow and strapped for time, I would have gotten the jewelry elsewhere.Going in, I trusted their expertise to help me pick a piece of jewelry and it failed me. I understand not taking back used jewelry, but I feel I should have gotten an apology, discount, or be offered free installation because of a mistake that they could have helped me avoid in the first place. Maybe staff needs to be better educated on helping customers pick jewelry because I am disappointed.

We had our daughters ears pierced here years ago when she was 10. Yesterday, for a 16th birthday gift, she got a small and attractive nose stud. Gill was kind and gentle during the piercing and he thoroughly explained all we needed to know about the process and after-care routine. In our experience the folks at Diablo Rojo focus on safety, know what theyre doing, and the business has a good range of affordable jewelry available. Not much else required.

Got my ears pierced for the first time here yesterday by Shandi. She was extremely friendly, piercing was quick, painless, and affordable. Gentleman who checked me in at the front was also very welcoming and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place

Went to buy some jewelry from this shop and spent over $400 on two pieces. I decided to have one of the piercers change out my jewelry. The piercer stated that she had just come back from vacation and was “a little rusty” and then proceeded to man handle my septum and nose piercings. I have had them for over 2 years now and have never experienced that pain when changing my jewelry. Two weeks later my piercings started getting very irritated and crusting up. Like I said, I’ve had these piercings for over two years. They’re full healed. I never experience irritation or crusties. I figured it was the jewelry that I purchased that’s causing the problem. I called the shop and explained the situation and they informed me they don’t accept returns. I understand that’s their policy, but my whole experience with this shop has been a nightmare. They recommended me to go to see the piercer again for help, but I don’t see a point in wasting gas for them to say “Yup, it’s irritated. Remove the jewelry.” Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Took my 13 year daughter here and had a wonderful experience. Gil pierced my ears and my daughters. He talked to us the whole time to help our nerves. Definitely recommend Gil for your piercing needs.

After 1.5 years with them, and 4 piercings later…. Highly satisfied. I’ll be going back for two more in a few weeks with Gil. He’s my go to. Just turned 50 this year and while visiting my daughter in Austin decided it was time to re-pierce my nose. I am so thankful I found this place and Shandi was awesome!!! You never know for sure when you are unfamiliar with a place but I read their reviews and felt comfortable giving them a try. I was not disappointed.

Kate went out of her way to help me. She was really nice and very knowledgeable. Definitely coming back because they have some very beautiful jewelry.

Nice jewelry but too expensive also to big I couldn’t even put it in my nose smooth like other piercings. Only reason it’s in now because they didn’t want to refund it because I left the store. 3 nose piercings for 120.Reply to owner: I asked for L shapes and she brought those out why would I want something else besides what I asked for lol i knew they looked long but I was like I’ll just take them I need 1 for now but when I was trying to put it in it hurt so I compared it to my other nose piercing on my other side and realized I don’t want the other 2 im not going to use them but yes I’ll keep the one I been messing with(THE ONLY ONE OUT THE BAG) and she’s gunna say no lol first time going there never going back waste of money on long ahh piercing but it’s ok my loss ig. I brought my six year old here for her first ever ear piercing and Shandi was absolutely INCREDIBLE with her. I am sooo very thankful I almost cried from relief with how sweet, caring, and thoughtful she was with my child. My child was a little hesitant (as all of us are with a new piercing! Especially her first!) and Shandi was just so sweet, joking with her, telling her every step, encouraging her, and giving her little pep talks. Telling her “if we need to slow down or stop, you let me know”. It was the best experience I have ever had at any place and I am so thankful that is the experience my daughter had with her first piercing. She was incredibly proud of herself and was beaming all day from it. the front desk lady (so sorry I didnt catch your name!) was ALSO such a beaming bright star in our day and also was so sweet and accommodating for my little one. She was so reassuring and so great with her!Of course the shop was also incredibly clean.Very very very highly recommend!!! 🥰🥰 i wish I could give them all the stars in the world ⭐️

05/12/2024I been a costumer to this place, but today the staff make me feel discriminated and I felt racism going on especially tha lady at front, and one staff member her name is Emily. They were attending walk ins right away while they were making me wait for no reason. I was there more than an hour, Im very upset by the way they were just ignoring me. All I wanted was to change some jewelry. When the lady upfront finally decided to attend me she was like “give me a second, im just gonna cash these people out” and so on and so on they just had me sitting down there for more than an hour saying “be right with you” so I was looking at the binder of jewelry they have there and the lady snatched out of my hands saying that “was not to watch” Plus she gave me wrong prices so expensive, last time I went I asked the guy there in the counter he gave me a different cheaper price for a piece of jewelry that was there. So I while I was wating I saw people walking in and out getting attended right away. I asked the lady in the counter if they were ready for me, and that’s when Emily came out with an attitude saying that “everybody came in at once” and she still was sterilizing the piece of jewelry that I chose. It was over an hour while she said that sterilization takes 5 min. I was polite and understanding and patient the time I was there but by the “professionalism of the staff got me upset and make me feel unwanted and discriminated. I was asking questions and the lady up front kinda make me feel force to buy if not she was not interested to attend me. I’m very upset because i really wanted to get a new piece of jewelry

Great overall experience! HUGE jewelry selection, which is ALWAYS great! 👍🏻 Their COVID-19 procedures made me feel very safe. The piercing employee was kind & courteous. Honestly, just a great all around time was to be had by all.

Didn’t really want to leave a review because of the way the business responds, but I wanted to share my experience.I will first say that everyone was kind during my visit, hence 2 stars.I came in with a years old helix piercing that had been irritating me when I slept. I wanted to see if changing the piercing to a shorter post and/or a flat-back would help.I talked to the guy at the front and he said getting a shorter piercing would indeed help, and I picked a new piece of jewelry out (as a side note, I was sad there weren’t more options, but I was glad they were good quality).When I went to the back, the woman doing my piercing explained that they would be widening my piercing, but since it was so new, it should be fine. I corrected her and said no .. I told the man in front it was years old. She didn’t have much to say about that, and although I was concerned nobody had forewarned me they would be widening the gauge, I assumed it would be fine. She told me it would just feel a little irritated the next few days, like a sunburn.The days after I left, my ear was in severe pain and badly swollen (but had the short jewelry in, which made the swelling even more painful). Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore and took it out. When I did, the piercing bled a huge amount - more than I’ve ever experienced with another piercing.I decided to just let the piercing close and heal, which is disappointing. I am really disappointed by my experience here, mostly due to lack of communication - both between staff and to me as a customer.

Great experience!! don’t wanna go anywhere else now, worth the price. can quite be sure but i think my piercers name was mike, very cool friendly vibe and super clean with my piercing. i went in to get an industrial but unfortunately didn’t have the anatomy, instead got a cartilage piercing. they also anodize titanium which was super cool to watch. got a green septum ring. will forsure be back.

My 8-year-old daughter had her ears pierced by Mike today. He did a fantastic job and was so great at helping her to feel comfortable. We are very happy with the placement of the earrings and overall thought it was a really positive experience. My daughter is thrilled with her earrings. A huge thank you to Mike!

I went to Diablo today to get my septum pierced. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. They were all so sweet and very professional. Gill did my piercing and I couldnt be happier. I was so beyond nervous and he made me laugh and relaxed the whole time. He explained everything before he did it. Gill was so absolutely amazing. I do not have that high of a pain tolerance but Gill piercing my septum hurt so much less than my earlobes. I did not even flinch. I highly recommend. I left with a big smile on my face and a nice piercing. He actually made sure it was in the sweet spot area and said he would let me know if it would touch any cartilage before he did it. Thankfully no cartilage. You could absolutely tell he was extremely experienced and very professional, while still making me feel calm and laugh. I can not express how happy and grateful I am. Thank you SO much Gill for making my experience amazing and calming my nerves. I will never go to any other shop for my piercings and will totally recommend this place 100%!!

They are very professional and friendly. They go above and beyond with sanitation. I do wish they sold a saline solution to clean fresh piercings there tho.

I was struggling to find a good nose ring for a couple of months now and wanted to give this spot a try. Shandi was so sweet and informative about after care and types of metals I should be looking for! Everyone made me feel super comfortable and I’m so glad I stopped by. Don’t ever go anywhere else. I’ve been getting pierced with Diablo Rojo for 5/6 years now. They are consistently amazing. All of their staff is professional, incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. This place had me convinced that all piercing places were as amazing as they were. The one time I went to a different piercer, I was in pain for a month before I went to Diablo and asked what was wrong. They gave me great advice & helped me through the solution. When they replaced that piercing for me, I didn’t even feel it & haven’t had pain since. I’ve had my niece pierced here and they were kind, patient, and quick with her. They have a great selection of jewelry, though a bit pricey. You mostly pay for the quality of the jewelry and expertise in helping you pick out the jewelry; definitely worth it. I will always recommend Diablo rojo to anyone wanting piercings in Austin.

Let’s start with I had called to make sure this place had the right gage and jewelry before they did a 40 min drive there . I talked on the phone to someone that said they had everything I wanted and need for a septum gage . I drive 40 min to this place to find out the don’t have the right jewelry I wanted and then would have to pay more for something I didn’t want in the first place . On top of all this I go back to the room where the girl is going to gage it after she put the taper needle through 3 time tells me she dosent have the right taper to screw o to the jewelry. Why was she even trying to do this in the first place very very unprofessional of her . Then she proceeded to go get a bigger taper needle shoves this through my nose followed by the jewelry. This is not how this process works at all . I’ve had lots of gagging done . I could of shoved this through myself probelly with less pain then she was giving me by putting 5 different tapers through my nose . So after she is don’t cause she knew now she had messed up , proceeded to hiding the back u til I leave . No after care Instruction at all and no conversation after . This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to . Anyone who is wanting a gage or piercing I would stay far away from this place as possible . I wouldn’t even give the one star but won’t let you post with out it .

I’ve been coming here for years after being a fan of this shop back when I lived 4 hours away and every time I am blown away by the professionalism, knowledge, kindness and expertise of the piercers and receptionist. Beware their system automatically calculates tip on the entire purchase including any product you purchase such as earrings and the saline cleanser. This is incorrect. You should just be paying tip for a service. You will need to manually calculate your own tip, so you do not overpay. This is a tricky way for them to earn more! (no issues with the service received, only their tip system)

I got a couple of body piercings today by Zia, and the whole experience was great! She made me super comfortable throughout, and she was very knowledgeable about the aftercare, giving plenty of good information as well as answering the questions that I had. Im so happy with choosing this studio and getting to work with Zia for these new piercings. Thank you!

Gil pierced my 6-yr-old’s ears and was fantastic. He was so kind and patient, walked her through every step and really helped her feel comfortable even though she was nervous. Our family has used Diablo Rojo in the past and always had good experiences.

I got a conch and lobe pierced here today. Sam helped me pick a beautiful color to match my existing piercings and Teresa, my piercer, was very friendly and thorough. The conch hurt like a mf lol, but I still had a very pleasant experience.I did have a longer wait than I’m used to maybe ~20 minutes, but they explained they were sterilizing my jewelry and prepping the room which was appreciated.Also the jewelry selection is beautifully extensive! Anyone with gauges should shop here for sure.Overall, I would 100% recommend this studio for anyone looking to get their first or next piercing! 😊

This piercer acts like a complete pompous jerk. Doesn’t know anything and acts rude the second you walk in the door. Needs a serious lesson in customer service, humility and overall just being nice. I won’t be back here. I asked them to match my nose and ring and they put the incorrect stud in. It seemed like and easy fix but they instead charged me and offer a discount on the next piece of jewelry.

Gill is amazing! I highly recommend him for children’s ear piercings. Gill did a wonderful job a few years ago and it was a great experience today when my oldest got her second holes and a cartilage piercing. We wouldn’t have thought of going to see anyone else.

Edit to add: The people working here are trash. I enjoyed how they insult the earring that I loved but lost and which i had for over ten years. And it was not low quality as they say. Either way, the earring they sold me does not fit! So if it’s American made or not, its still worthless to me. Also with tax it came to $37. Don’t waste your time or money, and just go somewhere else.Visited Austin from abroad and lost my earring for my tragus the day before I returned home. I hoped it’d be an easy fix, but they had to sell me a whole new earring. They offered me the plainest looking piece they had for $40. This is insanely expensive but fine, it’s the US and I didn’t want the hole to close. Then they asked if I needed them to put it in and I did not want to have to spend more and said no I’d put it in myself.I should’ve put the earring in then and there because the thing is so wide it doesn’t fit my ear at all! Now I have paid $40 for an earring I didn’t love to begin with that is too big. I really don’t recommend going there. It was the worst experience I’ve had surrounding my piercings.

I came in after having problems with piercings that I got done at another shop and had the best experience. Andy was amazing and walked me through all the reasons my piercings werent healing the way they were supposed to and replaced the jewelry with exactly what I needed. He was also very clear on the steps I should take moving forward to ensure a good healing process. So welcoming and such a better experience than what Ive had at other shops.

The whole piercing process was just fantastic. I can honestly say this was the best piercing process I’ve ever been through (and I’m well over double digits now). Well worth the money I spent there.My best friend and I went this past weekend and Gil pierced our conches. He thoroughly explained what piercings would work with our existing ones and why others wouldn’t. The jewelry selection quite large and the choices were also so beautiful. I went in to get a surface piercing and Andy was there. Very knowledgeable guy! I wasn’t able to get it because he didn’t feel comfortable doing it, which I greatly appreciated his honesty! But he did direct me to some other piercers if I wanted to go through with it still. Thank you sir, I’ll wait for either Kate or Gil soon! Definitely recommend their service. They care more about your well being than anyone else who’ll just do it just to do it. You might not like their honesty or willingness to do whatever it is you’re wanting, but these are the piercers you should be going to because they really do care. I’ll be back soon!Edit: I went back and Gil pierced my surface Tragus! Make sure to go early because it is first come first serve. He sterilized the jewelry, went through the aftercare process and healing both before and after. The process was very quick and painless! They had quite a bit of jelwery options to choose from which was really nice! Thank you so much Gil, it was a rad experience and a great addition to the ones I have! Disappointed that employees are not all on the same page. Apparently, the person I talked to on the phone Friday and the person who was available on Sunday didnt share the same piercing principles.We wanted to get our daughters ears pierced. On the phone, Friday afternoon, I informed the man that our daughter is going to be 6yrs old in October and was ready, by her own decision, to get her ears pierced. Having seen the FAQ page from the website I wanted to clarify if their 6 year old piercing policy was hard and fast or was there some wiggle room. I was specifically told that if we came in and our daughter was ready and would sit still that they would do it. After getting clarification that we could do it, I asked if someone would be available Sunday to pierce our daughters ears when we wanted to come in; however when we arrived, we were turned away. The man working Sunday said I had talked to a different guy and I should return a different day when he was available. 🤔 Again, the whole point to my calling ahead was to confirm if someone would be there Sunday to peirce our daughters ears even though she was only a few months shy of being officially 6yrs old.

Andy is fabulous: caring, funny, talented. I received 2 cartilage piercings and they were virtually painless. He pierces with the jewelry you WANT, not just the standard 1-or-2 options you find typically in a piercing spot. An eye for finding the perfect placement based on your anatomy and making recommendations, Andy is the BEST in Austin & beyond. I will return.

Been going here since I was 15, i’m now 19. I’ve gotten 2 nose piercings with them & 4 ear piercings. Never had any issues or infections with my piercings. Can’t say enough amazing things about this studio. They take time with clients and are honest about risks you may have with types of piercings & about any anatomy issues. They are clean & organized & show you the sterilization process of tools & jewelry. Today I got two helix’s done with Andy & he was amazing. Totally recommend coming here!

Went in for 2 dermal piercings and had a fantastic experience. The wait was shorter than expected. The shop is very clean and the process is well explained. Gill was great! There was another piercer there and I wish I remembered her name, she was so sweet. They made the process not only smooth, but fun as well, as I was quite nervous!:) They take their time to give you the attention you deserve and make sure youre comfortable. Please dont go to just anyone for your piercings, do yourself a favor and go to the best in Austin. I will definitely be going back!:)

My friend and I went in last week to get nostril piercings. We were both first-timers and we did a walk-in on a Friday. Gill was there and we had the best time with him! They know how to take care of their clients, one of the couple only app certified piercers in Austin to trust. I appreciated that when my Daith piercing fell out because I tried to change it at home (with failure)using a gold ring gifted to me, they didn’t turn me away like shaman modications did just because I wasn’t using *their* jewelry that’s retailing in their shop.And as much as I adore shaman modification jewelry selection, it just so happened my jewelry was gifted to me and I had no true way to change the Daith on my own. Lmao I have stubby fingers!!Great job to this team for using their professional tools and clamps to make it happen. Will be telling everyone to stop doing what they are doing and only come here for a safe and friendly piercing experience.

I went to Diablo Rojo yesterday, probably about my fifth time in the last three or four years. And the service wasnt great. They employees are credible, but dont entirely keep you in the loop of how much longer you are going to have to wait (ex. It will be about fifteen more minutes until we are ready for your piercing.) And thats just typical customer service. Typically, when or IF you call ahead of time, youre given an estimate of how long of a wait it will be before you get helped. Ignore that. If the Waitlist tells them 30 - 45 minutes, know it will likely be 90 - 120 minutes.What should really be done is this; have a sign up sheet ONLINE so that customers can sign up and arrive only when their about to be helped, not two hours before then. In other words, it would cost customers time and money, as they arent being told once they arrive to ignore the time the Waitlist tells them, and that they instead should wait 1 hour and a half to 2 hours for (a) piercing(s).And they seemed to be making small-talk, and during that time, I wasnt sure if they were waiting for equitment to be ready in order to pierce, or what. It would have been nice to know. They could have said, Hey, well be ready for you in about _______ minutes. Without that knowledge, it makes them out to seem lousy and not credible.Heres a tip: Go on a weekday, not a weekend. They are jamb-backed on a weekend. It is truly insane. I truly do not recommend it. Week-days for sure.

I got my septum pierced yesterday by Nate! Super pleased with the experience as a whole; shop was super clean, front desk person was chill, Nate was extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job, and now I have a sick piercing that makes me look way cooler than I actually am. Thanks, DR!

Literally custom made nme a perfectly sized septum ring, using some sort of alchemy crossed witchcraft to electrocute the metals into a brass finish. 10/10 i shall utilize my enchanted jewelry for good, i promise ✨🤞

Always my go-to piercing studio. I’ve had 7 piercings done by them for the past 3 years. They have all healed nicely and have never given me problems. I really appreciate how they handled appointments after the pandemic, all piercers I’ve met are friendly and knowledgeable.

We were in the parking lot and saw a family who had just had their kids ears pierced. I asked them how their experience was, and they sung Gils praises. So we marched on in.If youre piercing a minor - you have to have a birth certificate for them your DL. Their website explains all of this.The shop is clean and the cabinets were well organized with a great selection. Gil was thorough with our piercing options and prices. He took his time and was knowledgeable and informative in general of the proper care of piercings. He offered jewelry recommendations and has me wanting to go back again soon.

Absolutely delighted with my experience at Diablo with Andy. I walked in on a Friday afternoon with the intention of getting a helix piercing; however, we talked about my ear anatomy and decided on a conch piercing instead. The reviews are correct - the selection of jewelry here is fantastic. Andy was very knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. The hardest part to believe is the piercing itself was over in an instant and did not hurt. If you’re thinking about it, go for it! I left with specific aftercare instructions and sterile saline spray (super easy to use). Thank you, Andy at Diablo!

I got a flat piercing on my left ear with Andy. He was amazing the whole time. He made sure to explain everything carefully and thoroughly, including what to expect and how to care for the piercing. He was so kind and funny and really made the experience memorable. I’ll be back for more piercings with Andy for sure.

Got my tongue and nostril pierced by Andy today and will definitely be back for more! I have/had over a dozen piercings (done either by myself or at different studios) and I felt that this was the most sanitary experience, and the piercer was the most knowledgeable Ive worked with. After ordering jewelry online many years ago and always getting great quality stuff I decided to ahead and finally get my conch pierced at Diablo. Once I moved to San Marcos I knew I had to come here and get it done, the staff was very friendly, patient and professional. The shop was clean and had an amazing selection of high quality jewelry. They made the experience fun and pleasant which is essential when youre getting a piercing on your body.The prices are great and are worth it when youre investing in some great quality jewelry and that goes in your body and looks beautiful, plus all the piercers are APP members so you know youre in good hands. Aftercare instructions were thorough and the piercer was glad to explain further. Im very happy I came and will come again for my future piercings and jewelry changes. Thank You!

I recently turned 18 and this was my first time getting any piercing that I can remember (I got my first lobe piercings as a baby), so naturally I was a little nervous and wanted to make sure I got a good quality service, and that is absolutely what I got. Andy was extremely friendly and helpful from the time I got to the studio. He explained everything to me thoroughly and gave me a pamphlet on aftercare to take home with me. It was very professional; he sterilized everything in front of me and masks were worn the entire time. Overall it was a very friendly and low-stress environment, which I appreciated as a first-timer. I am not the type to leave reviews, but I’m leaving this with the hope that other first-timers might come here if looking for a good studio. It WAS a little pricier than I expected, but I did not mind at all because of the quality of my experience - if anything is worth paying more for, it is the service provided by this studio. If I choose to get more piercings I will likely return here. If you’re on the edge about getting a piercing here, DO IT!! 10/10. Thank you Andy!!

Super disappointing. I just needed a post for my helix piercing. The girl would not sell me one until they measured me and because it was busy I was looking at a 2 hour wait. I knew what measurement of post I needed, kinda like you know your own shoe size. It was disappointing. I ended up ordering from Etsy.

Amazing shop, and Gil is phenomenal. Was shopping for a gift, and watched him explain to a young girl (father present) the whole process on her level, making sure she understood every bit. What an asset to this shop, and community. Very professional, clean shop, with great prices. Would definitely visit again.

I was blown away with how knowledgeable, patient, caring, educated and talented the artisan who helped me with my nose ring and jewelry care/selection was. They where clear and carefully articulate as to how/when/why to change and care for your ring—along with carefully presenting the most exquisite selection of jewelry piercings you can find anywhere, that are premium quality and very well taken care of inside the case. I’m so happy with the quality and esthetic of the triple chartreuse nose sparkle I got there, and left with so much knowledge on treating and healing process to prepare my body to care for the new nose ring for a very long time.

I’ve gotten piercings at studios all over the country, and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Gill was extremely friendly and professional. He talked me through the entire process and let me know what to expect each step of the way. They also take the time to sterilize the jewelry immediately before use. My teenage daughter and I visited this location around 5:30pm on a Friday evening. The young man who was working was exceedingly helpful. My daughter got her nose pierced out of state about four weeks ago and had some concerns about her piercing. The piercing artist on duty was knowledgeable and kind. He examined her piercing externally and used his cell phone light to look into her nostril, then advised of how she might better clean and care for her piercing to allow it to heal properly (in at least three months). I was very impressed with his thoroughness, kindness, patience and the time he took to review procedures with her. We actually visited this location because a competing piercing studio in Austin basically cast us aside without providing any assistance. We will absolutely visit Diablo Rojo for our future piercing needs. The piercing artist made my daughter feel comfortable and safe and, even though we didnt purchase any jewelry or supplies, he was helpful and kind. Hes made a customer for life. I would highly recommend this piercing facility, especially for women and young ladies who wish to have a compassionate and informative piercing artist who is also gentle and kind. I cannot sing his praises enough - I only wish Id asked his name!

Super friendly staff! We were greeted by Sams smiling face right away. They were very helpful when it came to piercing my daughters ears. Since there were two pieces in site she was able to get it done tandem and they were amazing! We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one person in front of us so the wait wasnt that long. The shop is really clean with a variety of jewelry.

Went in today for a piercing and was helped by Gill. It had been a minute since getting a piercing so I was a little nervous, but Gill talked me through every step and I chose to get the titanium earring that I was able to have changed to a different color. It was first come first serve, bring you ID and a mask. Really pleasant experience, will go back for my next piercing when the time comes

I always have a great experience and have got all my piercings done here only! Very clean, and super professional! Staff takes what they do seriously, as you should poking holes in a persons body. Ive had the pleasure of being seen by Mike the last couple times, I believe was his name, he works on Sundays and he takes his time with every client no matter how busy, you will never feel rushed or as a bother. All their jewelry is of great quality, I cant wait to go get my jewelry switched for rose gold pieces which they do carry!!!

Sam did a great job piercing my ear, he gave me great tips and told some cool stories too. Very sanitary place and thorough with the whole process!Edit: Came back 2 days later because I had such a good l experience the first time and got my cartilage pierced by Andy. I bought 140$ worth of “titanium” jewelry that severely infected my 5 year old piercing and turned green. when i brought back the piece they refused to refund my purchase.edit after owner response: i left because your piercer was in a rush and i had already waited 40 minutes to talk to someone. i understand that the other piercer made a mistake, but i had hoped after what that mistake had caused i would at the very least get my money back. yes i did complain about not getting refunded and yes the jewelry was replaced with something similar. and to set the record straight, the other product i “happily” purchased was saline for my infected nose :)

Gill was amazing :) got my eyebrow piercing done today and it was a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. piercing does not hurt at all and doesnt even look at all irritated, im surprised! my piercer gill was very professional! absolutely will be coming back for all of my piercing needs and i highly recommend everyone to go to this place. the only downside was 1h 45m wait but of course this is nobodys fault, and it was a busy saturday. also wanted to edit this to add i have never left a review before but felt like i should incase anyone is deciding whether or not to go to this place. I just got my third piercing on my ear lobes and Im so glad I came here! Gill was awesome and so patient with me. He made my experience less scary and more enjoyable! I will definitely be going back here for any more piercings I get in the future!

First off, I would like to state, I have been a Diablo Rojo customer for over a decade. Got my first tattoo from them circa 2008 and spend thousands of dollars with them when Doug and Ryan were working there. I recently got my ears pierced in late summer 2020. The piercing experience was great, but that is where the buck stopped. The incredibly expensive jewelry I got as part of my piercing broke literally the same day I was pierced. I immediately called Sam my piercer and said for the premium I paid for the jewelry, I was absolutely shocked of it breaking. He completely agreed and told me to bring it back to get a refund. I took the jewelry back and I was met at the shop by a different employee and he said he was unaware of the situation and he would call his boss. I was short on time and left the defective jewelry with him and he called me a couple hours later and said they would not refund my money. I filed a claim but it is crazy that I even had to take it that far. Philip tried to claim I was frauding him of his money in the bank claim. I found that possibly the most comical part of this whole transaction. Pretty lousy way to treat a long-time customer who has spent a considerable amount of money at this establishment. Without a doubt, will never go back and will not recommend anyone to the shop as I have done time and time again for many years.

I cannot say enough about the staff here. Everyone I’ve ever dealt with, four piercers to date, has been more than friendly, knowledgeable, and very skilled! The studio is extremely clean and sanitary. The piercers are very conscientious about cross-contamination and cleanliness of their hands and their equipment! Also, the jewelry is top notch and still affordable. I have found that their prices are just a little bit more than everyone else (not much more) but TOTALLY worth it! Don’t skimp on your piercers, be sure and come here to Diablo Rojo!

Sitting here, watching my fiancé get so much help, kindness, and guidance on a new piercing replacement. The lady helping her has black hair and is soooo knowledgeable.

Called prior to coming in. Talked to Cay. Very friendly and helpful. Said I could get on the waitlist online (due to COVID spike, they are only allowing one customer at a time). Proceeded to get on the waitlist. She kept in touch with me to let me know how much longer my wait was. Went to the location. She updated me to ask me to wait outside a s she’d open the door for me. Wasn’t aware There was separate entrance to the piercing studio so I was waiting outside the tattoo studio. After a longer than expected wait I entered the tattoo studio, said I had been waiting for a piercing and the tat artist told me there was no piercing studio (a bit passive aggressive, not friendly at all). Fortunately another artist there told me it was next door. Knocked on the door and Cay answered and let me in even though I was late. She was very friendly, very informative and professional. The piercing was quick and easy. Let me ask all the questions I needed to ask and told me to get in touch if I had any issues. Facility was super clean and comfortable. I felt relaxed and welcomed. Highly recommend CAY!

Got my nose pierced by Mike about 6-7 months ago and really love it! I already had a nose ring in so it was a double piercing and he lined it up perfectly straight. He was super professional and helpful throughout the process and made me feel very comfortable. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it too. Will definitely be back.

I came in to buy a new set of jewelry for my ear piercings. The piercer that was in was very unwelcoming. The shop is very small and everyone brings in an extra person so its packed. I could barely look at the jewelry and when I was ready to ask questions about barbell length, prices, and payout...theres only 1 worker and hes busy piercing. Upset I couldnt get my jewelry.Edit: I love their professional smart aleck response 😂 Seems like this buisness has a problem with this according to their other reviews.

So far so good. I got both nostrils pierced by Lilian & she was chill. Put up with me staring at my nose for a good minute to ensure they were symmetrical lol this place has by far the BEST & BIGGEST selection of body jewelry. Tbh they’re like $5 or more expensive than the other expensive places around. But they have titanium nose “L” studs/bars so I thought that was nifty.

I cannot say enough great things about Shandi at Diablo Rojo. I do NOT leave reviews and I left knowing I HAD to leave one for them. She helped me TWICE in one week, was so kind, excited about what she was doing, and she did an amazing job. Clean, professional, happy, quality. I felt so taken care of. I took my boyfriend to Diablo Rojo for his first peircing and ended up getting a conch piercing as well (my 8th piercing). I am from out of town and chose to go here because of their APP certification and good reviews. I was very impressed with the jewelry selection and the fact that they anodized titanium in house for us. We were both pierced by Gil and he was super professional and friendly. He explained everything he was doing and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. He made sure to get informed consent. Definitely not a guy thats going to count to 3 and go on 2 to surprise you. I was very nervous about my conch piercing but it barely hurt and my boyfriend said the same thing about his lobes. Wanted to leave a review to say that Gil is amazing and this is probably the cleanest most professional and coolest peircing studio Ive ever been to :)

Very Professional. I am a returning client and I am never disappointed. I have Snake Bites, one Helix, and 4 Lobes with large gauges. I always recommend this location. They are clean and have brilliant standards and morals that I greatly respect and admire personally. They have earned my trust over the last 5 years between both locations. Every piercer that associates themselves with Diablo Rojo has never given me a reason to doubt their skill and have always approached me with genuine enthusiasm.

These guys are great. My two girls each got a second ear piercing here and one got a cartilage piercing. Gilbert is such a professional and very precise. He explained everything thoroughly so there were no surprises, and they knew exactly what to expect. They are very particular about sterilization as well, which I very much appreciate. Afterwards he explained how to care for it. I highly recommend them!

The lady that pierces at this location is without a doubt the very very best. They have high end jewelry, which is what I like. Real gold and diamonds. Love and adore her and her beautiful accent. It had been a while since I’d been in and she still remembered my grandkids and my daughters. Now that’s awesome customer service. Every one she has done has been as pain free as possible and has healed just perfect. Can’t get any better.

Great clean studio, wonderful selection for new jewelry and a great experience! Mike was super helpful for me and my best friends daughter. I got my ears double pierced and she got hers pierced for the first time. He did a great job of keeping her distracted as he did the piercing.

Great experience here with Jason. It felt super covid safe and clean. I have gotten several piercings before but this was going to be my first experience stretching lobes and he was superhelpful/informative and nice. My vaso vagal syncopy ( fainting from shock or pain) has gotten a lot worse in the past few years and he was very helpful and made me feel safe while I was feeling nauseated and light headed.I left feeling good and excited about my new piercings.

Every time I’ve gone to this shop after the really great female piercer left 2 years ago, I’ve overall felt like I was not helped efficiently or effectively. The sanitation and OSHA compliance is awesome. Generally, I’ve waited an inordinate amount of time in a tiny waiting room. Whomever the piercer is now is condescending, impersonal, and unwelcoming. The sole reason I return is because they sell BVLA and good quality jewelry. Every time I know I need to go there, I dread the visit and know it will a) take a long time and b) I’m not actually going to get any help with the jewelry I want.

Why am I not surprised…rude piercers. Thankfully I was able to find what I needed at Atomic. There is always a better way for business/ employees to communicate then to insult and name call.

I come to him every time I have a piercing thats been acting up and he always gets it fixed up, hes a super nice dude and always professional.The shop has a HUGE selection of jewelry and is one of the few APP shops in Austin. Prior to my experience here, I had gotten pierced at Platinum Ink and those piercings were misaligned and the interactions weren’t as personal as I’d liked!I let my original piercings heal up and went to Diablo and had an amazing experience!The studio is extremely clean, it’s very private and they’re quite focused on sanitation.It was also my nipples I had gotten pierced and I do suffer from PTSD but I never once felt uneasy because (I forgot his name) their staff is great! Made sure I was comfortable the whole time, even sang to some music with me!Once this whole COVID shindig ends I am 100% going back for another piercing.

I was a walk-in today for a dermal piercing removal. Id had my dermal for 8yrs and recently it started to look like it was rejecting. Id been putting off getting it removed for a month or so because I was nervous, but today Mike put me at ease. He was gentle and calm, and skillfully removed my dermal with little pain. I couldnt ask for more. I would definitely recommend. Thanks so much! :)

Every time Ive been here they are nothing but professional and amazing. I got my septum changed out today and love it. I still wear my nose studs they changed out 6 months ago bc I love my jewelry. Would recommend them to anybody be and everyone. They dont badger you to get expensive jewelry right as you walk in like most places and they have beautiful jewelry ranging from high to low.

I came in as a walk in because my friend was getting tattooed next door. They got me in within an hour, despite having other appointments. I was greeted on arrival, and told about the wait. They told me I could hangout next door at the coffee shop if I liked, and theyd come grab me when I was up. My piercer was informative, funny, and awesome! Would absolutely go back to see these guys. I love diablo!! i didnt come in with much knowledge about proper piercing and body jewelry but andy took great care of me when i got my nostril pierced two years ago, healed up great, and yesterday jason was very helpful when i came in to purchase new jewelry!! theyre taking covid precautions very seriously, which i appreciate. no piercings or jewelry changes under the mask, but he worked around it by having me stand outside of the building and take my mask off so he could stay inside and look at my nose through the window, then helped me pick out pieces that would match my anatomy. very safe, friendly, and helpful! i love my new piece and dont think id go anywhere else in austin for piercings or body jewelry!

Got my second nose piercing here and it was way different than the first time I had gotten it done on the boardwalk on senior week in HS. lol. They cleaned all of the jewelry beforehand and it was honestly painless. Little pricey but you pay for the nicer jewelry and their professionalism. If I get any more piercings I am definitely coming back here

Ive always had such an awesome experience here, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful and Ive had a couple of piercings done here and loved them. However, I went in today to buy a stud for my nose piercing and had an awful experience with a lady with blue hair and an English accent. She kept pushing me to buy gold jewelry, which I told her from the get go I was no interested in because I am allergic to gold. I told her that I have tried gold before and my skin has a weird reaction so I dont buy gold. I even told her that I had to coat my gold jewelry with polish to avoid that reaction, so it was not what I was looking for today. She went as far as to ask me why I kept buying gold and I had to explain to her that my earrings were a gift. Her poor attitude and pushy-ness to buy some of the more expensive jewelry totally turned me off. I have always bought my piercing jewelry from here but will not be doing so in the future. As much as I like them, this experience has lost them my business. I will make sure to share my experience moving forward with anyone interested in going here. I would like for a manager or owner to contact me.

They were so good with my 5y/o daughter! Of course it hurt BUT I dont think thats what my daughter will take away from the experience. He went out of his way to answer questions, get on her level and do what she needed to make this a pleasant experience. It was quite the wait but all that meant was that we were going to get the time and attention we deserved when it was our turn. And thats exactly what happened. I also like the attention to it being what SHE wanted and that she could stop it at any time because this cant be about what mom and dad want. Im sure well be taking our other daughter back there if she ever wants her ears pierced.

I got my nose pierced here in August and loved my experience. I have never been pierced with a needle before and had no idea how much it would hurt. But the guy that worked on me talked with me through every single step and reasured me constantly. He even asked me once if I was sure because of how nervous I was. Very very kind. I actually flinched while getting pierced and messed up the angle of the piercing. He felt terrible but it was 100% my fault I scrunched up my entire face. (Note: dont do this if youre getting a face piercing). He have me options over weather I wanted to try again or do it another day. Overall it all worked out and Im very happy with my piercing. Theyre a little pricey for what Im used to, but its not at all cheap, fake silver or gold like you would find at Claires or Piercing Pagoda where I got my ears pierced. Soo worth it. Especially if youre allergic to nickel like me. Thank you guys! You did an awesome job.

This is not a tattoo shop where some dude also does piercing. Piercing is ALL they do here at diablo and they know what the eff theyre doing! Of my 10+ piercings, the only one I ever had issues with was the one I chose to get at a tattoo shop, and Ill never make that mistake again.My friend and I came here this past Sunday to get our cartilage pierced. MIKE was working. The shop was super busy, but Mike held it down like a boss- the stress of a long line didnt at all prevent him from giving each client his undivided attention and professionalism. He was so friendly and kind and didnt rush anything. If youre nervous to have something done, wait for Sunday because Mike will take care of you and his smile will help you relax. Every other person who works here is just as good- they will help advise you on placement, jewelry, aftercare, etc. I got 2 cartilage piercings from Mike and then I showed him my belly button-- which I had done at this same shop many years ago. After a laparoscopic surgery, the piercing was ruined. I had been told before at a tattoo shop that it couldnt be redone due to scar tissue etc. Well, im glad I decided to run the idea by Mike. He took a look at it, asked some questions about the surgery, felt the scarring, and told me hed be glad to redo it. Not only did I let him, but it hurt even less than the first time I got it done, even with scar tissue. Its been 3 days now and the piercings ARENT EVEN SORE. Hes THAT good. Look, I dont review anything unless I was supremely upset or incredibly happy with the service. Diablo rojo has absolutely exceeded my expectations every time ive visited them, and I will be a customer for life because of that. Thank you Mike! And to whoever owns this business- give Mike a raise! He was fantastic for a whole crowd of people on a holiday weekend.

Ask for Ruth. Super knowledgeable and skilled. Cant miss her. Badass accent and personality. Not just another person trying to stick ya for money. She actually cares and takes pride in her work. She is a perfectionist when it comes to placement which is HUGE! Shop has a great jewelry selection too. We selected Diablo based on website reviews. Prior to making a 30 minute drive into Austin to get a piercing we called ahead to ensure they had availability. The employee told us he was going on break shortly and would not be available until about 45 min past our arrival time. We told him wed head in and made the trip stopping for some drinks on the way. When we arrived (slightly after the time he said hes be back and an hour after wed talked to him) he said he was finishing up with this customer then going on break for 45 minutes. Said hed be back (30 minutes prior to store closing) but wasnt sure hed be able to fit us in. Worst customer service Ive seen, no empathy or desire to correct the poor customer service without the possibility of getting a crooked piercing.

My nearly five year old daughter asked to get her ears pierced and after doing some research, I came across Diablo Rojo. Audrey took my call (or calls!), answered my questions and suggested that my daughter come by to meet her. They hit it off and I knew right away that she felt safe. Two days later, Audrey was ready for us when we walked in the door. Disney music went on, they practiced how to take deep breaths and then it was done! No tears (not even a flinch!), just lots of smiles and pretty earrings! Audrey is the BEST. She is kind, patient and completely gets little ones (and nervous Mamas). And a special shout out to Kay who jumped right in (so that both ears could be done at the same time) - she too was incredibly sweet and gentle with my baby girl. So very happy I took the time to find the right people to take care of my girls ears :)

I recently had my nose pierced (NOT HERE) and a keloid kept forming even though I’ve taken really good care of it. I decided to stop in Diablo Rojo on a whim to see if someone would help me remove the piercing. Gil was so incredibly helpful. He not only said he would be happy to remove the peircing, he first examined it and told me that the reason the keloid keeps forming is because the piercing was done at an angle and the ring is irritating the nostril every time I sneeze or move.He then removed it so gently that it barely hurt even though it was clearly irritated and sore. I wish I lived in Austin so that if I get it pierced again I could go to Gil. He definitely knew what he was talking about and I would highly recommend him.The studio itself was as very clean and hygienic. Although a bit more pricey, i wish that I had gone to a place that was more expensive because Diablo Rojo is definitely worth it.

Thank yall for taking care of my younger sister a few months ago! She got her nose pierced by one of the piercers there (woman, dont remember her name but she was so sweet). My sister was pretty nervous and we went to yall after having a negative experience at another shop

I came here back in December to get my lip pierced (had it done a year ago somewhere else but it closed accidentally). The piercer was extremely knowledgeable, the sanitizer equipment was top notch as were their techniques (i.e. I never had my face covered with gauze when doing a piercing). It was almost painless this go around, I barely had any swelling and it healed up quicker than any piercings Ive ever had.. and I had/have a lot. I plan on going back tomorrow hopefully for my septum and to start on a triple forward helix. Highly recommend!

I would give Rojo 10 stars if i could! Between my daughter and myself, we have met all the piercing artists. All different personality types but all very cool and professional. Its our family piercing joint of choice. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Mike was super friendly and helpful. I have a lot of issues with my piercings so I hope this one heals well. Just got it today but I felt comfortable and he was friendly and informative.

I wanted to give this place a chance. The reviews looked great. Then i saw a post on the door for a wait list. They only see one person at a time due to covid. Though i agree lets take measures to prevent covid to their staff and customers (3 hours is a little excessive). I will also like to point out that the staff seems to be overly rude for no reason. The fact that you can only serve 1 person at a time seems like you dont want my money... and have the audicity to tell a customer that you have plenty of business and i can go else where doesnt seem like good customer service. I warn anyone who would like to visit the shop in south lamar to be aware that the owner and their staff to take their money else where and help other small business that have better customer service. If the owner or any other staff would like to respond with an unprofessional rebuttal just be aware that customers keep your business afloat. Youre not doing us a favor. We pay for your service. Please be the first to close the doors so that another business will take your place.Update:Im glad the owner responded, as i would expect you would with your comment. Says everything about how you handle your business. My time is not anymore important that anyone elses. I do see you have more time to respond then actually provide the business. Sure ill go to walmart or anyone else that wants my business. I didnt lose out on anything. You did. By answering me. Thank you for proving my Point.

Took my niece here for a piercing/jewelry shopping and the guy working was SUPER informative, frank & friendly. Absolutely worth the brief wait & diligent Covid precautions in place. Id happily recommend this place to anyone.

Andy was very professional. They only use surgical grade metal in their piercings. Came with a small take home kit to help keep your fresh piercings clean. Will return.

I got a body piercing from their Guadalupe location and it was a great experience. As turns out, I was allergic to the metal so I came to the SoLa location to see if they had other types of metal jewelry.I failed to see that I walked in right smack at 8 PM (closing time) and was scolded by the guy in the back with a tone of disdain and plain rudeness. I apologized and left. He must have had a bad day but thats not an excuse when a hey, Im sorry, we actually just closed would have been more appropriate.I suppose Ill hit up an online store 😒

I recently went in to get my tragus pierced had the best experience there ! Gill helped me talked me threw everything showed me all the jewelry they had for that specific piercing and really informed me on it .unlike some places that just take you back get it dont and tell you how to clean it. They took their time and got it done right. I will be returning here for more 😊

These folks did a great job doing my really basic ear piercing. It was so quick and as painless as it possibly could be. I healed so fast! I would definitely go back! Makes me seriously consider where to put my next hole....

Mike is my absolute hero. I literally ran in there crying after racing across town because another shop had sold me the wrong kind of healing jewelry twice to the point that it got stuck inside of my skin. He couldn’t have been more gentle or relaxing. I won’t go to anyone but him now.

I stopped by Diablo because I lost (again) my captive bead nose ring while on vacation. They had a beautiful, fixed bead, rose gold nose ring in stock. The gal cleaned it up and placed it for me. I have had no issues and love how it looks (rose gold AND fixed bead rings are so hard to find). Now, I just need the money to order a rose gold eyebrow barbell

I wont go back and wouldnt suggest this place to anybody. The staff was friendly but they gave me the run around. I came in to get a new jewl for my dermal and the first person who tried wasnt able to get my old jewl off so she had to pass me off onto somebody else. When he finally got it off my dermal was red and swollen and sore af. The next day my new jewl fell off and I had to go back and have it put back on. Then the following day my jewl came off again!! Ive never had a problem with my dermal until I went here!

Sorry but the website and form required to enter due to covid restrictions have frozen after Ive made multiple trips. Cant really give a true review because I cant seem to get in the door. I went to get a septum piercing — turns out I have a deviated septum. Apparently, this didnt matter in the slightest, as the piercer (Jason) still pierced it perfectly straight.Note: my septum isnt horribly deviated; I asked and he said its about in the middle of the spectrum between not deviated and oh god its horrible

I went there to get 2 lobe piercings & my cartilage. The entire experience was extremely plesant and comfortable. I even passed out in the middle of it and was woken up extremely taken care of and encouraged. Best piercing experience ever.

I had recently gotten my belly peircing here i cleaned and took as much care of it as much as i could and still got infected i had came back around 7:30 to see if there was anything that could be done to fix it but i was immediately declined any sort of help im not sure if i should got to the hospital but i had gotten the peircing here obviously does not care about customer service i paid in full so i expect full on service

Placed an order almost 5 months ago and never received it. Was told they owe 200 customers orders. If you’ve ordered from them and still have time to issue a chargeback, I’d highly advise you to do so.

Mike was rude, unprofessional, and had little knowledge on the piercing. After asking only a few basic questions, my questions became preposterous. Left the shop because of the customer service.
