I went in for a new tattoo. Before going in, they ask you to fill out a short form and submit a reference pic of what you’re looking for. From there, they give you a quote and book you for a consultation/appointment. Once inside, Jason works at the front desk. This dude is cool! Talk to him, get to know him. You won’t regret it. Jordan was my tattoo artist and he is amazing! He knows his stuff. He asks questions to confirm he understands exactly what you want and he listens to your answers. He’s very professional with a great personality. Platinum ink on Burnet road is my new spot for any tattoos and piercings.

Got 11 piercings in total, but split them up between two visits, 2 months apart. I got every single one done by Darren. He’s very kind and patient, and also efficient when it comes to piercing your ear with the least amount of pain and discomfort. His are good hands to trust with getting your ears poked, especially when it comes to having a plentiful amount of piercings like I do. The harder battle is getting through the healing process with the least amount of complications, but that bits on you.After years of waiting and wanting, I am so glad I came here for my ear makeover. I can’t wait for everything to heal so I can finally get some bling on them!

My friends and I were in town and decided to go in for piercings, and the service was top-tier!! The manager Jason was so helpful and patient with helping me pick the jewelry for my piercings and also went above in showing me the sterilization process!Now on to the artist who did the piercings... Mr. Darren was awesome! Very personable, funny, awesome personality, and any questions one may have, he has no problem answering. By far, I would recommend just based on our encounter with those 2 gentlemen.

Staff and manager are so kind and welcoming! I unfortunately had a helix infection and extreme inflammation and embedding from a piercing made somewhere else. Raul kindly suggested I change pieces and did the change himself to a piece that will allow my helix to heal properly, all after I had called to ask about piercing removals merely a few minutes before. Will be coming back to get the rest of my piercings 🫶🏼

Darren was great! Very professional & polite. I felt very comfortable getting my first piercing from him. The place itself is clean & well organized + professional. They email you aftercare instructions + sell products to clean it with.

Pierced by Raul, he was amazing. I got a little stressed out watching him pierce my friend first (I have 12 other piercings I don’t know why watching them get pierced made me so nervous), he talked me through it and helped me plan for more piercings that worked with my anatomy, will be back!! For reference I wanted a double forward helix in the future and we talked it through and my anatomy only had room for one. We also talked through rook placement and how it would look with what I’ve already got, I loved having a piercer who knew how to work with my anatomy!

If I could I would rate platinum ink more than 5 stars. Drew pierced my earlobes, septum, both my tragus, and both my helixes with quickness and little to no pain. He also answered my questions and concerned about my tragus if it has migrated and gave me great advice for aftercare and for all of my piercings! :) they also have great prices for the piercings out of any piercing shops I’ve ever been to! You should definitely check this place out if you’re still hesitant!

I love Darren, i’ve been to him for all my piercings in the last 5 years. I got my nose and industrial re done yesterday. He always provides a safe and comfortable environment while working efficiently, honestly my favorite shop ever!

Super cool place! The guy that did my nostril piercing was so chill polite and prompt. 10/10 experience. I went for the Wednesday?? Special with a buddy.Update: came several weeks ago with my friends to get my seconds. Such a smooth process, there was a bit of a wait but we were in and out as a group and I barely felt my piercings as my piercer was so quick and clean. I had the same guy as last time, the owner was there as well and he was very accommodating and helped us take care of our friend when she got lightheaded from her piercing. Still a 5/5 star experience and we will definitely be back. I’ve never received such great customer care, they definitely want us here and are willing to go the extra mile to retain our business.

Great experience for my first piercing. Both my SIL and I got our septum piercing done and the price was great. I wasnt aware of all the deals they typically offer. I did have the ball of my septum come out over thanksgiving, but I also couldnt stop messing with it! I called the shop and I was able to walk in and get a new ball, Ive made sure theyre tight and snug, no issues since.I was extremely nervous and uneasy, but Darren was so nice and patient with me! I do not have my ears pierced and I HATE needles. Pics are before, after (same day) and 1 mo later.

If you have some extra money, I definitely recommend going to a more expensive place for piercings. I came here for my birthday in October and got my second nostril piercing done it went well and was super quick. Now that I’m starting to try to change my piercing, I realize that the guy pierced it at a weird angle and I’m not able to put a hoop without it bleeding. However, studs work fine. It’s very frustrating and I’m debating if I should just let it close and get it re-pierced elsewhere.

I stopped in the other night to get my third lobe piercings. Darren was super professional, quick and SO gentle! He helped me pick the right size jewelry too since my ears are kinda small. I will definitely be back - if youre getting pierced here ASK FOR DARREN!

I’ve been coming here for years for my piercings and love it. I just had an issue once with my navel piercing. I forgot who pierced it but it was way off my belly button, the bar was so tight it got Infected. I took it off let it heal and repierced it. Other than that all my piercings have been great.

To be clear, I’m not putting all blame on the piercer (not naming to respect him despite the situation) but also the establishment. First off, you get what you pay for in that this place cares about production and will do the bare minimum for your care. I came in to get my eyebrow pierced and was pressured to get it vertical when i wanted an angle. I got it done, left for an hour, noticed the marks were missed as well so the piercing wasn’t even done on the dots, came back and politely asked it be taken out as it was not how I wanted and I was not happy with it. The balding white guy at the front desk was immediately defensive and hopped into my conversation rudely asking me what was wrong with it and that they couldn’t take it out but wanted me to come back in 2 days. His tone, face, and word choice made it clear he didn’t want to offer a solution. After insisting I wanted it out, I was called back and the piercer removed it for me. He couldn’t offer me a refund but instead offered me a free piercing. I should have just taken the L but I accepted a helix and what a mistake that was. For him having 10 yr XP it’s insane he gave me a helix with a REGULAR EARRING STUD AND A BUTTERFLY BACK. In the end, I had to go to True Blue (GO TO TRUE BLUE ALWAYS) and get the piercing stretched, which is very painful, and had to spend more money to fix what they did and now wait for my eyebrow to heal to get it done right. Waste of time & money, and all they do is cause pain and care about their bottom line. Don’t come here. If your gut tells you it feels wrong or if you don’t like anything, just leave.

Got my second nose piercing done with Mason and it couldn’t have gone better. He was so quick it barely hurt and he answered any questions I had about the type of nose ring I was switching to. Super nice guy, would definitely recommend getting your piercings done here!

I had 2 out of 3 helix pieced + lobes pierced at a 4mm(6g). My man, Darren, is a great guy and professional not going to go to anyone else.

Drew Mazer will permanently damage your body. My nipples are naturally inverted, so you have to stimulate them for them to show, but he didnt do that. He tried to pierce what was showing, which was barely anything, so he just basically pierced my areola. I tried healing, but the pain indicated he had pierced a nerve. I have a permanent deformation and leakage. Not only that, he was unprofessional, chuckling to himself at the site of my breasts??? Disgustingly unprofessional employee. It was an experience that I will never forget, sadly. Going here is a risk because the majority of the piercers at this location do NOT care about providing the best service they can.

Booked/deposited 100$ for a tattoo week ahead, sent my design ,tat artist noe left me on read for a week after asking him questions . Then he cancelled on me day of my appointment. Cussed me out on phone for putting this review. Manager gave me refund tho , thankfully.

Ive got multiple piercings from Darren and he is the best in the business!Ive had friends and family get tattoos from here, all from Ian, and he is wonderful; great artist, fun dude to talk to as well.Platinum is always my first recommendation for either piercings or tattoos in the Austin area.

I come here to get tattooed by James Rhodes. We have over 30 hours of chair time and hes always good company. I refer all of my friends and family to him and hes tattooed my entirely family including my wife and some of her friends. Im also in the military and refer all of my buddies here as well and never disappointed. The staff is down to earth and good people. I wouldnt go nor recommended anywhere else. James is the best!

I got my first face piercing done by Drew he has a chill vibe that helped kept me calm and was quick with the process. as a first timer I recommend him it was a good experience. He also patient when your ready to start.

I love this shop so much I just got my belly button pierced yesterday the piercer was very sweet and quick I was in and out and the pain was like a 3.5/4 out of 10!!!

I’ve gotten all of my piercings so far from platinum ink and i have to say they’re amazing. quick and to the point (literally) they’re helpful asking questions and their deals on the weekdays and weekends are great! sundays get pretty busy but they move fast, and i have to recommend darren as he’s always been super personable.

Had to wait a long time even after being told it was my turn but man was it worth it! Darren was very nice and made my three piercings super fast and painless, would definitely come back to him!

Not sure about tattoos but 100% not the place for piercings. I went over 9 months ago for an industrial and 2 conch piercings. The guy didn’t do any measurements and also did both my conches at once. Which he did to try and help the pain but it only ended up being done wrong.9 months of suffering wondering why the healing wasn’t almost done by now. Went to a shop in San Antonio while visiting and got a second opinion. The bar for the industrial was too short, one conch was too long, and the other was horribly crooked. They were able to change out for the appropriate jewelry on the other 2, but the crooked one was a lost cause. They said to just take it out, let it heal, and try again. The somewhat cheap price sounds enticing, but I ended up spending about the same amount just fixing 2/3.Now I’ve been meeting other people who got piercings from platinum ink. They all had the same experience pretty much where they needed to go somewhere else to fix them. Those people, even the shop in SA, all told me to go to shaman modifications in Austin from now on.

Just got my nose re pierced, at the North location. And I have been coming here for years. Ive gotten several piercings done here, and today was just reassurance why I will go no where else to have my piercings done!!!!! Calm, relaxing environment, amazing people work here, and my piercer was absolutely amazing, he was very clear with the process, got me check in and in and out with in 10 minutes. He was absolutely amazing!!! And very clean space and how he went about the process. Will be coming back soon. REMEMBER TO TIP YOUR ARTIST!!!! They deserve it

Got a belly piercing here and now it’s really infected. Not to mention it’s off-centered when I was getting it done the piercing didn’t really clean off the area and didn’t have the jewelry I wanted either.

I honestly cant tremendously the gentlemans name but hes the first for to the left when you come into the shop hes done my nose piercing twice now and my labret once he does a great job at making you feel comfortable and straight to the point ! 10/10 highly recommend. 😊 never had any issues with healing either process either.

Got my eyebrow pierced by Drew! Such an awesome guy, he was polite and just had a very good aura. The location is great. We got the Sunday deal which was awesome and the building was very clean and you just felt super comfy. I will definitely come back to Drew when I wanna get a new piercing! Thank you platinum!!

Darren is the man! Ive gotten several piercings here now. I hadnt got any since I was 7 and I got my left ear re-pierced along with a nose and naval piercing back in September and then got one more earlobe piercing on each ear 6 weeks ago. I went with my mom that day for her to get her earlobes repierced too. Darren is awesome. He is very gentle and quick and accurate. And he is super friendly and I always enjoy seeing him. And if you go on sundays, you get the best deal for piercings.

Darren was amazing at piercing me and my 14yr old daughters bellybutton piercing .. it was super fast and painless.. he was also so sweet and calming which my daughter needed!

Walked in for piercing special and was super fast, didn’t try to up sale different earrings and extremely professional to nervous daughter!

Front staff consistently have an I dont want to be here attitude. Top it off with lack of communication on sales/specials certain artists/ piercers are doing there. But will get even more upset that you made them get up to ask the artist/piercer for verification on their special.Recommend i-35 location, way cooler staff.

I got my second lobe piercings on Tuesday and love them! My piercer was friendly and kept the atmosphere light, and he was clearly very experienced. The wait was very short, and my piercer was very patient with me when I couldnt decide where I wanted my piercings. Pain was minimal and aftercare has been very smooth so far. Keep in mind, for the $58 piercing special, it includes earrings but doesnt include the saline wash. I highly recommend this shop!

With a combination of sheer luck on cold calling some businesses to get pierced tonight and the welcoming employee who answered the phone, I’m so happy I found Platinum Ink! Ive gotten two piercings here now and both are fantastic. I have no idea what people are talking about when they describe the balls falling off their jewelry; I have had my septum about a month and my eyebrow a few days. Any time Ive checked the balls of my septum for tightness, they both feel completely snug with no rotation at all. Both piercings are also now painless and have no visible swelling (remember, my eyebrow is only a few days old). Follow their aftercare instructions and youll be fine. If you dont buy the aftercare products from them, the HEB brand saline wound wash matches the aftercare recommendations (no additives & its a spray). Its a little more expensive, but FSA/HSA eligible. Both piercings, I went on a Wednesday evening after work and Drew was my piercer, who is fantastic and super patient. When I asked what size eyebrow jewelry I should purchase, he not only answered my question but also educated me on how my piercing may change with time and what size jewelry to buy if that occurs. I wouldnt even have thought to ask about that! Im super self conscious about my appearance but everyone at Platinum Ink and especially Drew have not only treated me with no judgement, the piercings Ive gotten here make me so happy that I like how I look in photos now. Long story short if youre super nervous like me, ignore the negative reviews, seriously. Platinum Ink is fantastic and I dont want to go anywhere else for my future piercings.

I brought two friends with me to get my piercing and while we were in the lobby waiting my friend suddenly passed out and hit their head against the floor really hard. The employees were incredibly helpful and helped my friend onto the couch and got her water, a cold soda, a bag, and paper towels and helped calm her down. It’s a super safe space. My piercer was also very nice and got my piercing done in less than 5 minutes. Thank you so much!!! We’ll definitely be coming back.

Got my helix done for $29 on a weekday! Super sweet and literally took less than a minute to pierce.

I got what I came for but the service was not good. The people at the front were amazing, and the piercer my friends got was so nice and helpful (shoutout Mason), but the piercer I received is not someone I would want to go back to. He was rude, not helpful, and he made it seem like he didnt care if I was uncomfortable. The place overall is amazing, I just will not go back to see Daniel again.

I love getting tattoos here. My go-to artist is “Canada”. This picture is just one out of the three tattoos he’s done for me so far. I highly recommend him. He’s friendly, his work station is clean and organized, and if you have any history questions about the art of tattooing then he’d have some great facts for you. His art is bright. If you want a tattoo that looks like a sticker, he can do that. 10000/10 recommend. If you want to see his art you can call the shop and ask for his Instagram page. 😄

I got a daith piercing on a Friday afternoon. Staff was friendly and helpful. The piercing was done quickly with minimal pain and the price came out to around $35 when it was all said and done (including tax, piercing, jewelery, and cleaning kit)

What a great customer experience from Darren. He was so chill and made me feel very comfortable in getting my nose pierced. The Mid week special on piercings is on point and I cannot recommend them enough.

2/4 infected piercings out of the times Ive been there. took really good care of them, but seemed to be infected day 2. rook bar was way too short to allow room for swelling. jewelry threads dont always match up so the balls fall out. the people were polite, but it was deceitful.

I’ve gotten many piercings here and they always do a good job. But without fail, their jewelry always come undone almost the next day. I got septum jewelry here and the ball kept coming out. I would go back to get it tightened and it would fall out again.I then got my industrial pierced here and a few days later, I realized the whole bar came out because one of the balls came undone. I had to get it repierced at a different studio and it has not fallen out since.I just got my rook pierced last night and one of the balls is already gone.

Seriously disappointed considering this place has so many good reviews. Went to touch up my faded tattoo. Ian provided the consultation and touched up the tattoo, hes a super cool dude and initially I felt very comfortable. He had a movie playing on an iPad while doing the work. I got nervous every time he was distracted by the movie and looked away while still having an active needle on me. Upon further inspection of the tattoo there are a couple of areas where he clearly went out of the lines, likely due to him being distracted by watching a movie? I think so. If your job is to permanently mark someone for life, perhaps its a good idea to put all of your focus and attention on them instead of a movie. Especially since you know, its a paid service. At first I thought the movie was for me to be distracted, I should have realized Ian would be distracted too and just asked for my money back and gone some place else.Buyer beware if you see a movie playing, its likely Ian and he will absolutely look away while having an active moving needle on your body, do you really want a distracted tattoo artist putting permanent ink on you?

Wouldnt recommend coming here for a piercing unless its something simple like a lobe piercing. Got my navel done in January and it was refusing to heal even though Ive never had that issue with any piercings before. I took it out and let it close. Ive now seen 3 other piercers in austin who told me I dont really have the anatomy for it and thats why it refused to heal. My piercing also wasnt straight and the piercer was very cold to me. Really wish I was just told no instead of having my money taken for a piercing I could never get safely.

I got my first nose piercing here, and the service was amazing. They made my mom and I feel welcomed. The waiting time wasn’t long, and the piercing process was literally only 3 minutes. I love my piercing and I will definitely be back.

Had a really nice easy time getting my second lobe piercing, super quick service even as a walk in and was super sweet and happy to answer any questions, very easy breezy even as a minor coming with my parents. Piercer Drew was super nice and the actual piercing was super low pain and super duper quick, definitely recommend for anyone nervous about it, like I was. They have a drink machine in the waiting room, that was cool. nice jewelry too. good central austin spot :)

I got my septum & both nostrils pierced for $79. They did a great job and I like that they offer to train you on changing your jewelry once healed for free! Thats great for first timers like myself. I wished they included aftercare products for free with the piercing like Claires though. I said I would try my first tattoo with these guys but they are pricey (be prepared to spend if/when you go). Great place with professionals.

My 9 year old got her ears pierced and Darren was amazing with her. Not only was this an experience I was hoping to have eventually after having my baby girl but even better my daughter felt calm and joy at the same time. While there for her piercing I got a quote on a new tattoo I’m wanting and all I got was friendly replies. The salon was clean and in order. Highly recommend for adults and children!!!

Decent pricing and everything but EVERY SINGLE time I get something done here, the ball comes off. Ive gotten about 3 piercing here over the years and happens to each one without fail. Got one on Sunday and you guessed it, woke up today missing a ball. Idk if they just used cheap jewelry or just don’t screw it on properly but its very irritating. I live 30 minutes away, I shouldn’t have to come back every time I get a piercing bc y’all can’t screw it on right. Extremely frustrated. I guess you get what you pay for:/ I’ll start paying more to have quality jewelry that doesn’t come out in 2 days.

Me and my girlfriend went to platinum ink to get a piercing for my girlfriend. After she got her piercing done and when we were almost home my girlfriend got a call and said that the guy she was with took the money from the guys tip jar. So me and my girlfriend had to literally go back to the place and explain are selves and the guys at the front were rude about it and rolled their eyes. The guy who’s pierced my girlfriend’s says they checked the cameras and since they’re In black and white they really couldn’t tell it was me or not. So we literally wasted are time going back because the guys at the front want to assume from there bad cameras of people stealing money from tip jars.

All of my ear piercings except my first lobe piercings were done here, and Ive Always had quick, professional and friendly service from the piercers. Because of the piercing specials they run on Sundays, the line is now out of control on that day, so be prepared.It didnt used to be this way, but we unexpectedly got caught by a huge waitlist during my last visit in Oct. 2022 when my friend and I came to get cartilage piercings on a whim. Theres a digital sign-up form when you arrive and we were warned the wait could take 45+ min, which we were fine with. It ultimately ended up taking about 1.5-2 hours before we got into the piercing chair, but the piercing itself was quick and we had a great experience and didnt feel rushed despite the long wait. Ill always recommend Platinum Ink to friends for piercings!

Okay, let me first start by saying I have a soft spot in my heart for this place that started at 17 years old with their Sunday piercing special (which they still do almost 15 years later!). Thats worth 5 stars alone, honestly. Ive only gotten one tattoo here, but Ive been pierced here probably 30 times. The first was my belly button when my mom took me at 17, and it just became a fun Sunday thing to do after that. The current piercer, Darren, hasnt been there the whole time Ive been going, but hes been there for years now, and he is AWESOME. Hes pierced me a few times and mercifully helped me remove some piercings that just wouldnt heal. Hes clearly passionate about his work, extremely knowledgeable, and hes kind. Ive never had a bad experience at this shop, and the tattoo I got was a totally spur of the moment decision that was made so much better by the positive experience I had with the artist (who is admittedly no longer there). But the shop is clean, they do their best to mitigate wait times when theyre busy, and everyone has always been friendly and helpful for me!

Definitely recommend. I was hearing that it’s better to get babies ears pierced at a tattoo shop because they don’t use a gun which is traumatic to the tissues. I had heard great things about Darren at Platinum Ink. My grand baby is EVERYTHING to me so I want only the best for her and he definitely delivered! My son held her and I helped stabilize her head. She cried but not nearly as bad as I thought she would (stopped when I held her afterward). Darren was amazing with her. He was patient and kind. He worked fast and efficiently and was very sweet! I decided to get another piercing myself on my lobe and it was virtually painless. I plan to go get a couple more soon. Darren will be my guy for sure. He definitely made us feel at ease as we were all nervous to get her ears pierced. He’s very clean about things and overall the shop was very clean and nice inside.Raul who was working up front was very helpful and nice and fun to chat with (cute too)😉😅 Having people like him in taking people makes the experience more relaxing and comforting. I have gone 3 times for piercings and each time has been great. I cant recall the other piercers names but today I was attended to by Darren. He listened to and addressed my concerns, & he was especially patient when I mentioned my anxiety with getting pierced. He was quick with the work. Everyone I have gotten pierced from at this location, has done the same. I really like the scanning in to check-in process. Makes it easier to wait in the vehicle & be called in, instead of in a long line when its busiest.

Worst healing experience of my life. i got my rook done at platinum a few weeks ago and at first, it was fine. flash forward to today, im cleaning the piercing with saline solution and all of a sudden the ball falls out of the barbell. no big deal, i take it into my local piercing place because platinum was closed and this was at 11 at night. they could not get the ball screwed back on due to the fact that the barbell that i was pierced with was too small to begin with. the lady who took my jewelry out it was pissed at the fact that a professional piercer would have pierced me with such a small bar that would not account for the swelling further down the line. she then showed me a side by side of the jewelry she would’ve pierced me with and the one i was given, and the size difference was astounding. i do not recommend this place for piercings . i haven’t been this mad in a long time. I DONT EVER EVEN LEAVE REVIEWS BUT THIS ONE IS TO SAVE ANYONE FROM HAVING THIS SAME EXPERIENCE. i’ve already made a tik tok about this and will be informing my fellow longhorns about this place. im absolutely appalled, my ear is throbbing and non stop bleeding from this. WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK.

Never been tattooed here but my piercing experience was awesome. Decided on a whim to get a piercing tonight and I was in and out in maybe 10 minutes, could’ve been less. There check in system is really easy. The piercer was super friendly. Prices for piercing are extremely reasonable. Was almost painless and I love how it looks. They emailed really detailed aftercare instructions so you don’t have to hang around after too. Will definitely go here for my next tattoo/piercing.

Ive come here for piercings several times & I cannot recommend them enough. Theyre highly skilled & fast with reasonable prices, especially for Austin! Parking can be a little tricky, but thats my only complaint.

So I had heard really really bad reviews and that staff was rude. So I tried going Sunday around 5 and it was packed. So I went in on Tuesday and it wasnt busy, the guy at the front desk was super nice and helpful!! Then the piercer was really nice as well, they gave me really good vibes!! Then after my piercing i made a tattoo appointment with one of the guys that was there Tom, he was really helpful as well and told me he could help me with my name as well as my future tattoo!! Cant wait to get my other sons name!! 💙 I really like this place, a little far but worth it!!

I showed up as a walk in for piercings. I have to admit I was a bit nervous considering the current pandemic, safety, cleanliness, etc. Also, the type of piercing. Anyhow, the precautions they are taking made me feel comfortable and at ease. Darren is the guy that welcomed me in and did the piercings. Recently went to get my left tragus pierced at Burnet location, loved my experience with Drew hes a sweetie will be going back soon for my tounge piercing and some tattoos. Ive never had a bad experience with platinum ink, but it was kind of weird not seeing the guys I knew back when I used get pierced 10 years ago lol. But other than that keep up the good work guys.

My wife and I have 11 years of experience with these guys and have gone here since we were 16 and absolutely LOVE and TRUST this location. I recently got a tongue ring done by Drew at the North location and couldnt be happier. I was in and out in 5 mins and he was wicked fast and kept everything clean while still holding a calm professionalism I appreciated massively. Ive gone here for my septum and both nostril piercings and they turned out fine and normal and I have no complaints. However, Ive had 3 surface and 1 oral piercing (both eyebrows, bridge, and center bottom labret) pierced here, and all of them had to be removed within a couple of months due to poor placement or being pierced too shallowly. Im sure that the piercers here know what theyre doing, but due to amount of customers they receive daily because of their cheap prices, I think they allow a drop in quality to get people out the door quickly. And for more finicky and technical piercings, theyre not being given the time needed to be done correctly. I wish them all the best but I think Ive learned my lesson and will not be returning.

This place is in high demand. The staff is knowledgeable of the services they offer. My chosen service was a navel ring. I had always wanted one of them. After getting it a staff member I spoke with shared how the aftercare guidelines should be followed. When I wear a crop top it shows off my navel ring perfectly.

I went to Platinum Ink to get 4 piercings. I was quickly let in and I didn’t catch the name of the man at the front desk, but he was very sweet and created a welcoming environment the second I stepped through the door. He was very informative and was able to answer all the questions I asked him quickly and thoroughly. Drew did my piercings and he was also very informative and patient during the process. On top of all this, the entire space was clean and they went above and beyond when taking precautions regarding COVID. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I will definitely be going back for more piercings or tattoos in the future.

This is a clean shop, they have things organized and smooth (small snafu on a Piece of Jewelry) but they happily and quickly rectified the situation. All of our piercings look great! I think Drew was the piercers name. Fun times! Great deal for a ladies night! Befores and Afters 😁

There is usually a line to get in on sundays and probably every day of the week for piercings. However, the line moves fast. Darren did my piercings. He was super nice, however. I did not.like the placement of the piercings. I got three ear cartilage piercings all at the same time. He said.though they would align once they heal. Sundays they have a piercing special so the price makes it worth it. I would go back and do it again. I had to go back because the swelling freaked me out. He looked at it both times and reassured me that it was normal, which was correct. The swelling did subside and it is healing correctly. I really liked the staff since they did not make me wait in line when I came back for the swelling. Overall, it was a great experience.

I was very satisfied with choosing this location to get my earlobes and nose pierced. Its been around 2 months now and Ive had no problems! I started out cleaning my piercings 3 times a day. The piercer was great and I went on Sunday when they were having their specials and got an awesome deal!

Wish I had snagged my piercers name. He was average height with shoulder length brown hair and a slim build. He was so nice and quick with my cartilage piercing! Loved him. They are very busy on Sundays, but its worth the wait for such a good price and quick pierce. Bring a friend so youre wait isnt boing.

Got my first one piercing done, they do it with a cork screw stud which is a pain to put in and a pain to get out. Even after 4 months I had another piercer take it out and it bled a bit. He knew exactly where I had gone and said he fixes a lot of piercings done from here.You get what you pay for. Just because it saves you some $$ doesnt mean its good. I got lucky and never had a serious infection. If you want to get any type of piercing go somewhere where it cost a bit more but they take their time and answer all your questions. You dont want to have to get it re done later!I went to Atomic in Pflugerville and got 5 piercings done and the piercer there was amazing. He took out the one from Platinum and moved sides and the spot to one I liked more. He also did 2 lobes on each side and made sure they looked good and were even, and then had me check.Do Your Research For Any Body Modification!!!!

I got two piercings from Platinum Ink a few weeks ago. The guy at the front desk was not super friendly, but decided to go ahead with the piercings because of the special and good reviews. They only had two options for new piercing jewelry, which was a bummer because neither of them were particularly pretty (both silver, only came in ball or crystal stud). The piercer was GREAT. He was very nice and talked me through the process. However, they used a butterfly back on my helix which is a no-no in piercing because it harbors bacteria. My helix got infected a week later even though I had cleaned my piercings 3x a day as directed.I probably wouldn’t go back. The jewelry selection was pretty bad, and using a butterfly back on a helix without telling the customer first is just a huge red flag for me.

I went here to get a nostril piercing and a septum piercing. I used the 2 for $50 combo. Parking was a bit of a hassle but it works. The inside of the place was very clean, organised, and minimalistic. They do require masks and have a code that you have to scan to get on the wait list. There was barely a wait; even though I had two people in front of me. Darren did my piercings and he was super friendly, kind, and relaxing. I hardly felt any pain and he was very quick. I thank him so much for such an amazing experience!!!!

I cannot recommend this shop enough. I came in with a piercing issue from a different location, and Darren and the front desk staff were extremely helpful in letting me get seen to check it out for free. Then when I came back to fix the piercing, there was a long line but it moved quickly. The place is extremely clean, and I cannot emphasize how kind and professional everyone was.

Wonderfully attentive and patient, very quick, and very clear and helpful aftercare instructions provided. Both piercings are from them, and so will my third (when I get it)

I came today for the Sunday 19 dollar piercings, and had a great experience! I did however pay 24 for my nose piercing because it’s 19 for a tiny silver ball, or 24 for a colored jewel.I was lucky enough to get Darren. He was super nice, patient, and did my nose piercing within 30 seconds. Now reading other comments, he seems to be the best, and I will make sure to continuously ask him for my future piercings!

I’ve been going to this place since I was 15 and got my first piercing. I’m now 19 and have with 18 piercings all from this location. None of them have ever been infected and I am always 110% satisfied after leaving. The staff is awesome especially Darren and the guy who typically is up front. Love them:)

Ive gotten a total of 4 piercings at Platinum and I have got to say that Darren is the only person I want to handle my piercings. I have complete faith in his capabilities. the studio is always clean and flows seamlessly each time Ive been in. Again, I cannot recommend Darren enough! His demeanor is comforting and his method to how he pierces, threads jewelry, and communicates with clients is phenomenal.

Stay away from this place if you want piercings that will actually heal. First of all they pierced my helix in a 20g instead of a 16g, they also used a butterfly back for my helix which caused a big sore bump even with proper aftercare. I got my lobes done in May and they still haven’t healed yet. The actual piercing itself is crooked and within the span of changing an earring i usually have to pop the back of the piercing hole open. Overall just terrible piercing and cheap jewelry. Upon changing jewelry I’m also suspicious, I doubt the jewelry they gave me is hypoallergenic as it’s the only jewelry that makes my ear irritated and have discharge.

Really nice place! Everyone was nice and professional. Went there for my first time today, and it looked like they were pretty busy for being a Sunday; I gets its because of the awesome prices they have. But I didnt have to wait long at all. As I was waiting though, I could see all the workers were doing their best to help the other customers which was awesome. I got 3 piercings, and Im so pleased with them. I feel bad because I forgot the guys name who helped me, but he was great! Will definitely be going back and recommending this place to all my friends.

I got my nipples pierced and it was honestly the greatest experience I’ve had with piercings yet. Drew was great at explaining after care and keeping me calm through the whole experience. They came out so straight. Everything was sterile and clean. It was real professional. The price isn’t that bad at all, at least compared to other places in the area. Actually the cheapest I could find.

So, I have come to Platinum ink a few times and have gotten awesome piercings from both Darren, and Drew. Today, I got my first tattoo here and I’m in love. Jordan was awesome. I was a walk in, and I had an idea of what I wanted but he delivered so much more than I envisioned. He was patient, asked me questions, super friendly, and seriously he did a phenomenal job. The shading is gorgeous, the color choices, and his lines (even when I was twitching-it had been awhile since I’ve been tattooed) is amazing. Out of all of my tattoos this is the first one I have left a tattoo place without any anxiety or second thoughts. The tattoo I got literally was everything I needed and wanted! Super happy!

About seven years ago I went here to get my belly button done and I wasnt pleased with my experience when I left. I went back yesterday to get my nose done and Im so happy I did! the guys at the front desk were sweet,energetic and efficient. what I believe was the manager did my piercing and he was awesome as well. I went in yesterday for the 2 for $49.95 deal and got my vertical labret and medusa done. The piercer was polite, friendly and worked efficiently. I was in and out so fast and he did a fantastic job. I will be back in the future. 10/10 would recommend.

Highly recommend this place!! I just turned 18 and wanted to do a spontaneous thing in celebration. So I knew a tattoo dedicated to my grandmothers would do the trick. Ian was so helping and assuring during the whole process and even endured the torture of hearing me ramble! He made my first tattoo experience one to remember. I had little-to no wait time, it was a little pricey but you definitely get what you paid for!

My 4 year old went in yesterday and got her ears pierced by Darren. He did an awesome job making sure she was comfortable and was very kind and patient with explaining the process with her. I’m also super happy they DO NOT use the piercing gun. I specifically looked for a place that pierced without and it took me a while but I’m so glad I chose Platinum Ink.

I got my septum pierced here by Darren. They were very professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. It was super quick and painless. 3 weeks later and my septum has healed with no issues.

Got my nostril pierced in early august. Developed an irritation bump and came in to get it checked. Felt like they treated it as no big deal and gave me generic aftercare instructions. Did not closely examine my piercing. Went to get a second opinion today from another piercer at a different shop and was told that the angle of my nostril piercing was incorrect and would probably not heal correctly, even with different jewelry. Disappointed with my experience with the piercers at Platinum Ink, but am hoping it was just a one off. Will be more diligent about finding app certified professional piercers and hope the piercers at Platinum Ink implement a more caring approach to issues in the future.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!I was so excited to get my piercing done here due to good reviews and very good prices. Unfortunately, my piercing was done incorrectly.I got my septum pierced with a roommate of mine. A week after I got mine done my roommate felt almost zero pain and I could barley move my mouth to eat!! I knew something was wrong so I visited my local piercer who said “oh no!” as soon as she looked at it. THEY WENT THROUGH MY CARTILAGE!!! Half of the piercing was through the cartilage and the other half was through my “sweet spot”.I was informed to go back to platinum ink and request a refund. I went back to platinum ink and was told by another piercer that it was completely fine (not through the cartilage) and I wouldn’t be receiving a refund.Still suspect i visited a DOCTOR and ANOTHER reputable piercer who both said “that is definitely through your cartilage and you should remove it”.I called platinum ink and was yet again denied a refund due to the fact that I took out my piercing which would prevent them from looking a 3rd time!!

I went to Platinum Ink to get my navel pierced last week, my piercer was Drew, and he did absolutely amazing! He answered all of the questions that I had (and trust me, I had plenty). Its healing great so far, and I love it!

I cannot recommend them enough.Some advice: dont come with a group of friends pressuring you to get something ~cute~ if you dont really want it. Got a handful of piercings here. My two nose piercings had no problems. Recently got a tragus and two forward helix piercings and they seem to be taking longer to heal. I have been in contact with the piercer Darren who has been really nice and helpful through the healing process. Also the have specials for piercings every Sunday that u cant beat. This is a good spot but the location could be better.

Jewelry used was super cheap and rusting within a few days despite cleaning piercing 2x a day. Piercer was unfriendly and parking wasn’t ideal. Piercing seems to be healing well for the most part, but I would go elsewhere in the future for piercings.

Everything about my experience was pleasant. I came in to get two piercings: a tragus and a conch. The prices are affordable - less than $50 all together for this visit. Darren was my piercer. He was friendly and is extremely good at what he does. Both piercings were executed skillfully and they look great! Im new to the area and I will not go to anyone but Darren for my future piercings!

Drew did not check my anatomy before peircing my lip (Ashley piercing) with jewelry that was too small and inserted at an angle. He took all of 30 seconds to pierce me and sent me out. Yesterday it became uncomfortably swollen but the shop was closed and other piercers told me to go to the shop I got it at (bad advice). Now I’m at the urgent care. Don’t let some dude give you a piercing they aren’t capable of.

I got a tragus piercing at this location recently and had a great experience. I came in the early afternoon when it wasnt busy, and immediately was taken care of. The guy (cant remember his name) was nice. I noticed that everything in the room I was in was obviously sterile. I was also given a bottle of cleaning solution for my piercing, which I appreciated.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced. The covid process is quick and easy. We were in and out & it was very clean. Darren was awesome and helped her decide which side and was super professional. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

I got my Industrial piercing done there last week. MUCH cheaper than any other place I found. The place is super clean with a nice waiting area and the staff is great. Dru answered all my questions about other piercings after we were done and took the time to show me without rushing or anything. Great service.

Grossly incompetent piercings caused drawn-out medical issues!I was with my friend who got her ears pierced here; she ended up in the urgent care clinic for a raging infection so painful she couldnt sleep (even though she took meticulous care of the piercings). The doctor said the infection was due to shockingly incompetent piercing. A week later, the other piercing grew INTO my friends ear (it was entirely inside her ear tissue) and we went to another piercing parlor to get it fixed. The piercers there were so stunned by the horrible quality of the metal that they called in their apprentices to show them what incompetence looks like. The jewelry that Platinum Ink uses is NOT body safe. The piercings were too shallow, and the daith piercing was so shallowly done that we were told it was a safety hazard. Go elsewhere.

I have gone here for 7 piercings. Darren is my guy, very cool chill dude, talks to you and makes you feel comfortable while your are getting pierced. Pricing is very reasonable but you still recieve top quality work!

I came here to get my cartilage pierced and I am beyond happy I did! There were a lot of people but the wait wasn’t too long, and the staff was so kind and took the time to answer all of my questions. I warned my piercer that I’m afraid of needles and he reassured me, didn’t let me see the needle, and gave me the most painless piercing I’ve ever gotten (this was my 5th). Amazing place, highly recommend!!

I got Two piercings from Darren one was a dermal and other was regular piercing and it was the easiest experiencing ever. He was gentle and quick. You are literally out of the piercing room in 2 mins. He’s hands down the best piercer I’ve had.

3 years ago, I got my septum done by Platinum! They did an exceptional job then and when I went back today to get my second nostril piercing, still just as wonderful. Awesome people, awesome shop, super friendly!

Over a year ago I came in to get two cartilage piercings. Ever since that day my piercings have been infected. They bleed at least twice a week and my ear is irritated due to the equipment they use here. And the actual metal they put in your ears. And the earrings that were put in my ears were the same as any old earring you would put it your lobes. Normally when getting a cartilage you would get an earring with a screw on the back for a good healing process. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else to get a piercing.

Piercings are great, but I feel like service is lacking. On numerous occasions I’ve come in to simply purchase additional jewelry, knowing exactly what I wanted, cash in hand, and I’ve had to wait 20+ minutes to complete the purchase. The policy of making purchases wait until after tattoos and piercings have been completed makes me say come here for piercings, go elsewhere for jewelry.

Here are some quick details on their Sunday Special that is offered at both locations ($19.95 for a single piercing of a body area as of 3/20/2022). This is specific to the location off the 35.1. They open at noon and you should expect a small crowd gathering before they open. The staff is very friendly and very efficient; as the day continues, the staff may show signs of exhaustion so I would recommend being kind and understanding. Tips are greatly welcomed to the front desk clerks and the technicians (as always, cash is king and a standard $5 should be a minimum). They dont ask for the tip... And they treat every client equally... If you can afford it, give a little extra for those who cant.2. Parking is a little tricky. Follow the standard rule of Dont Block Anyone From A Clear And Safe Exit; Dont Block Driveways or Streets. If everyone followed that rule, so many accidents could be avoided.3. When you walk upto the door of the parlor, a large sign should be posted for you to scan the code and fill out the needed forms. Stay outside until you are called, they have a small waiting room for the clients that already paid and are waiting for the job. You will be sent a text to show you your place in the wait queue. Literally follow the steps and be patient... You will get a response. The wait is generally 30-60 min... So dont expect to just show up and get it done like I fast food item. They are trained professionals that take all safety precautions... And will do the job right. Once your name is called, thats when you will pay for the job and for any additional costs (special jewley, a spray bottle to help heal, etc). Once that is taken care of, theres a small wait in the waiting room... Just chill and relax. Its just a piercing.4. Lastly, like I said earlier, they treat every client equally; A guy, a girl, or non-binary. Respect everyone who is there!

Got a septum piercing here. It was quick, easy, and looks perfect. I was worried about the placement being too low/high or getting pierced through the cartilage but they did it perfectly.

Amazing people, but unfortunately the piercing job didnt end up so great--the jewelry I got put in when I got pierced is apparently all cross-threaded, so the balls keep popping off as Im drying my ear off after a saline soak, and apparently 3 of the 6 piercings I got are crooked and will need to be re-pierced to straighten them out once everything has healed. Really nice people and what looked like a well-run shop, but I had the bad luck of just about everything going wrong after

Went with my daughter to get her new piercing. Walked in to loud obnoxious heavy death metal. Stood at the counter for almost five minutes….no one comes and greets us or anything. When someone does appear he looked at us and almost glared at me. To the point where if we were on the street I would have asked him if he had a effing problem looking at me that way. I turned to my daughter and told her we were leaving. We went to Aromic and got great, professional and kind service. I’ve heard others had a good experience at Platinum, maybe we stopped by on the wrong day. Either way, they won’t get my business. First impressions mean a lot and they utterly failed to impress. .

I came here and got an industrial and daith piercing. Im not the best with pain tolerance but Darren was kind, professional, and talked me through it. It looks great and I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to any of my friends.Edit (1/31/2021): Went to get more piercings at a different shop, and it turns out my industrial was not pierced properly (my ear was too small to support it). My daith is fine, I would still recommend this shop but in the interest of transparancy, I put out this information.

I have come here a few times for piercings. The staff is quick, friendly and efficient. The wait can be long if you come on a Sunday, since they do discounted piercings on Sundays. The place is clean, and I am not worried that my piercings will get infected.

I came in to get my back dermals pierced and it was a great experience. Darren did my piercing and it was super quick. I was so scared to get this piercing but it was probably one of the easier piercings i have ever gotten because he did it so quickly. It looks so cute and I will for sure be returning.

The piercer was amazing, super friendly. He made the visit well worth it for me. Originally when I called, I talked to an older guy and he was completely rude and unhelpful. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I will be returning for sure!

You really cant beat the Sunday pricing!Ive gotten 4 piercings at Platinum Ink (1 nose, 2 ear lobes, 1 cartilage) and I am definitely going to keep coming back for more. Troy is really great at being fast and efficient without lowering the quality of the experience. While some places make it feel like theyre rushing you just to get to the next customer, Troy struck up some light-hearted conversation during the process and moved at a slow but steady pace.If you get there right when they open at 12pm theres barely any wait time and you come out with your new piercing in under 5-10 minutes! Ive still got a couple more piercings to go so theyll absolutely be seeing me again soon. Parking is pretty tricky if you miss opening by even 8 minutes so be prepared to drive around for some parking

I went because a friend told me about their Sunday special. I called and found out their was no line, no wait. When I got there the social distancing check-in was great. The service was a little painful (which I anticipated) but the technician was awesome. He worked patiently with me through the entire process. They even emailed me after care instructions. Nice job Platinum!!

I did not feel a thing and the piercer as well as the front desk were so sweet and so encouraging. I am a huuuge baby about needles and it was no biggie whereas at Claire’s they were so rude! Yeah bro, this aint the place. Came for a tongue piercing.Didnt show me the equipment was sterile, didnt let me check his mark before he pierced it, didnt ask if I was ready, argued with me when I told him it wasnt centered. Literally just tried to go as fast as possible to get the next customer. But I guess if you want a 20 dollar piercing, you get a 20 dollar piercing.

I have 15 piercings, 9 of them from Daren and I swear he has magic in his hands. I go from Houston to Austin just to get pierced by him.I got 3 piercings(traigus, double forward helix) this past Sunday and it was practically painless, Im already sleeping on that side without any trouble.

Everything was perfect! Darren was super helpful and fast. Left within 30 minutes of arriving with my new piercing. Hypoallergenic option was available at the moment which was a plus for me.

I had a shoulder piece done a few months back and am extremely happy with the results. James Rhodes was the artist; I gave him ideas of what I wanted and he came up with a fantastic design. Very approachable and easy to talk to. We did the whole piece in one session for about 4 hours. Didn’t feel like he was digging into my skin and when it came time for it to heal, it only took a little over two weeks. By that time I scheduled a touch up appointment and was done in 10 minutes. He’s very talented, and I would recommend checking out his Instagram for other designs he’s done. I will definitely see him again for anything in the future.

Darren has pierced my tongue and given me a VCH and both piercings were a total success. The tongue piercing was done 9/7/16, totally pain free, healed within 2 weeks, and has been great so far! The VCH was done sometime in January 2017, and healed very quickly! This place is clean, quick, and comfortable as far as piercings go and Darren is awesome. I wouldnt go anywhere else for piercings!

I got pierced by darren for my rook. he was extremely professional and nice. my mom and i went on sunday right when it opened and it was probably a 2 minute wait. the overall process was fast and easy with minimal pain. he was also very good with keeping a conversation with my mom because she was more nervous than me lol. highly recommend for anyone looking to get pierced.

I got my nose pierced today and I was so scared from watching all the videos on the internet. Darren Shuman pierced my nose and he was so calm. I told him I was scared and wanted to use my face mask as a blindfold. He said he would walk me through it. He was so quick I didn’t even have time to prepare to cry or scream ouch. I think he did it in 3 seconds. I highly recommend to platinum ink and Darren for nose piercing.

I have gotten my naval pierced here and came back a couple months later to get a tattoo. The place is very clean (very important to me) and the staff is friendly and helpful. I walked in both times and the longest I waited was 15 mins and that was only for the artist to draw up my ink.

I called ahead and explained my situation, was given a quote. I showed up the next day and was told it would be more than twice what I was told on the phone, and that was that. I was more apologetic about it than they were. The guy I talked to was very direct, and made me feel like I had done something wrong. They didn’t make any attempt to help me, nor did they honor the price they quoted me. I’ve been here multiple times and was disappointed in the lack of professionalism. I drove 35 minutes to get there, and waited outside another 10. Austin has too many tattoo/piercing shops for this kind of service.

I had a tattoo on my hip area that had been damaged due to a surgery. I went in and Tom did a spectacular job. Tom was super explanatory about what he was going to do, since it was in a sensitive area. I will definitely be going back to have him do some more work. I got a piercing changed here and now its incredibly uncomfortable and Im not happy with it at all. The piercer was cool but was very rough and wasnt paying attention to what he was doing. Overall atmosphere was nice but the quality of work was poor.
