Big “thank you” to Jade who did an anatomy check and was honest about not feeling confident in performing the piercing… I’d rather have a piercer be up front (i.e. responsible!) rather than just treating me like an easy sale.She ended up sending me to the East Austin location to see Jason and I’m really appreciative of her being a stand-up human being and not a pushy salesperson.

After looking at her portfolio online I found a gorgeous piercing I wanted to get. I was hoping to also get my eyebrow done but Jade explained that my eyebrows were too small and explained the possibility of it getting rejected. She did offer a second opinion but I appreciated her honesty and trusted her advice. She walked me through some options in my budget and the process was painless and professional. Jade had great energy and made the experience very personable. I will be coming back next payday to get the matching ear! ❤️ ❤️

This is by far the BEST tattoo parlor I’ve ever been to. Happened to be visiting Austin and saw the good reviews here- I’ve been wanting to get my second nostril piercing for a while.The moment I walked in, the employees were so kind and sweet and walked me through the whole process and also had me watch the aftercare video before signing anything. Definitely the most thorough explanation I’ve ever received for aftercare!Mercedes was my piercer and I can’t put into words how grateful I am for her. She took the time to make sure the piercing would be PERFECT. She looked at my nose from every angle, had me make different faces to make sure the dot was placed perfectly, and explained every step of her process. I’ve never felt so cared for by a piercer in my life.You can see the result for yourself- it was an incredible experience and I wish I lived here so I could go back to this shop all the time lol.

The jewelry selection is amazing! SO many options in all different metal types. I went in because Id lost my earring in a fresh piercing and they helped me pick a replacement and put it back in, pain free. I would definitely go back here for more jewelry or my next piercing. Very professional and friendly service. I had my ears re-pierced and they were fabulous. The jewelry is a bit pricey (great quality I’m sure), but they didn’t charge for the re-piercing. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Shaman Mods For a hot minute and love all the piercers there. Travis is very knowledgeable and pays special attention to body anatomy and what will work and not work based off of that! All of my piercings done by him have healed seamlessly and he absolutely nailed my lip setup!

Jade did my helix piercings and she was so kind and informative and professional. It is definitely worth it to go here for the peace of mind that your piercing will be done correctly by someone who really knows what they’re doing. I love Shaman Mods North for all my body mod needs. I’ve been pierced by Jade multiple times and been tattooed by both Ian and Spadi, with awesome results from both.Jade repierced my septum for me and also pierced my conch and two upper lobe piercings. Jade is awesome about understanding what piercings will work best with your particular anatomy, which is so important. She’s an expert at quick, efficient, and perfect piercings.Spadi tattooed my ear and was great to work with, brainstorming ideas and mixing custom colors for me. I love what we came up with together and how flexible he is!Ian took a concept I had and absolutely crushed it, giving me a unique twist on a classic Pokémon tat.I know I’m in good hands every time I come to this shop for whatever needs I have! My fiance came in to get his ears pierced, and it was a great experience all around! It was fun picking his jewelry for the piercing, and Jade was freaking fantastic. Jade was amazing I got my Tragus Pierced and I was super nervous she made the whole process so easy! I felt no pain just a small amount of pressure! I am so in love with my new piercing!

I contacted Ian about one of his flash pieces and he got me in super fast. I love how it turned out, he did such a good job! He has a ton flash so book him now before he blows up! The shop is super cute and clean too. Overall a good time and good vibes and a great tattoo!

Went as a walk in today. They had a texting system in place, and limited the amount of people in the building. Jade was very knowledgeable, and was immediately able to see she just needed to reopen my old ear piercings, which she doesnt charge for. She was really calming, and fast. I didnt even feel her reopening and putting in the ear jewelry. Ill definitely be back soon for a septum piercing.

I contacted Ian on getting my first tattoo and doing a tribute to my Boxer, Sasha, who had passed away recently. I told him what I wanted and gave him all the details. On a side note, I had locked my purse and keys in my car. He was kind enough to wait for pop-a-lock to show up and then he was able to do my tattoo instead of having to reschedule the appointment. He did an excellent job and the tribute is exactly what I wanted! The shop is very nice and very clean. I would definitely go back to Ian to get my second tattoo!

Jade is easily one of my favorite people in this entire world. I think that she’s an amazing piercer and person. Everyone there is so professional, it’s an extremely clean environment. I’ve had tattoos done Spadi as well. They are always so nice and informative there. I go to Shaman for my piercing needs and the only way that will stop is when I move away from Texas.It’s always an excellent experience end to end when I visit this location.

I received a tattoo from Ian Seth on 12/30/21. This was my 3rd tattoo from three different tattoo shops and Shaman Modifications was by far the best! Super clean, friendly, and professional! Ian was amazing and patient with me when I felt uneasy at the beginning of my session. He listened to my input about what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted in my tattoo. He not only met my expectations but succeeded them! I absolutely love my tattoo and will be going back to Ian and Shaman Modifications again for my next tattoo!

Almost no wait at this location. The lady who did my friends ear piercing was super nice. She also went over everything in great detail about how to keep the new piercing clean and how to let it heal properly. I personally don’t have piercings but she did a great job and was professional.

I always had a small fear of getting pierced no matter how bad I wanted them. Travis made all the experiences fun and worth it. Thanks for making things comfortable and fun. And thanks for helping me toward completing the vision i have. I can’t praise this place enough! This is my new favorite location. Pineapple is the GOAT! He will look at your anatomy and give you full honest evaluations and suggestions. His passion for his clients and what he does is remarkable. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder soul for my daughters first piercing. If you ever need a piercing, check the schedule and look for him. Mercedes was phenomenal at making sure we got the best welcome, the best jewelry, and helped us get everything checked out with tons of knowledge and patience. She did not do our piercings today but I’m 100 percent confident in her ability as well. I want to hit on their sterility and cleanliness as well. As a nurse I’m especially geared to watch for these things and they go above and beyond. Their cleaning bag has a fun “don’t touch it” stamp on the front that made me giggle and just shows how much care they put into every detail!

Highly recommend - I researched and compared to compared to others for Nipple piercing; website review and shop visits. I chose Shaman North based on their website, their You Tube videos regarding aftercare, the cleanliness of their shop and their employees. I intended to visit only, consult and view shop and jewelry.I met Travis - completely impressed with his communication and knowledge - very patient with my questions regarding procedure and he patiently gave me pricing on a range of jewelry options. No pressure tactics or attempts to up-sale jewelry.The shop is open and very clean - the procedure room is private, clean and comfortable. Jewelry is nicely displayed.I decided on-site to do the piercings - selected my jewelry, filled out the necessary virtual paperwork, watched the aftercare You Tube video again and was all in.Travis did an excellent job - put me at ease during the entire process. Truth be told, it is painful especially the second nipple because you anticipate the pain - Travis was quick.I was provided with after-care products and instructions and ways to contact if questions or concerns during healing - very happy. Walk-in only for piercing - we arrived at opening and were served first - highly recommend arriving at opening.

Everyone there is extremely welcoming and friendly and inclusive, felt very comfortable getting my first piercings!

I can’t just suggest one person here but all! They are all very professional and make your well being the outmost priority. Rather then piercing anyone and everyone like most shops they really make sure it’s possible. My daughter has a small belly button and one employee didn’t feel comfortable with it so she suggested we come back when Pineapple was there so he can take a look. He said he was comfortable doing her but said no to doing mine do to to much scare tissue from a prior piercing and said it would just get pushed out from the this skin. I really appreciate the honesty!The shop is gorgeous! The lay out of the high quality jewelry is beautiful. The cleanliness is beyond what I have seen at other shops. I won’t go anywhere else and neither should you.

Great experience, I was a little unsure about the placement of the piercings (double piercing on the nose) and the piercer mapped out common places for them to go. They also had lots of beautiful jewelry to choose from and the piercings themselves for me were quick and basically painless.

I got a tattoo done today by Ian. It’s amazing! My first one with color, and he was incredible during the whole experience. If I could give more stars, I would! All of my experiences at Shaman Modifications have been just the best and this was no exception. Definitely going back for more!

Took my newly 18 year old daughter here for a piercing. Jade was amazing!!! She was so nice and professional. It was super clean and you were made to feel completely comfortable. I highly recommend coming to ShamanModifications.

Ive gotten piercings from both Jade & Travis & theyre incredible. Theyre both very sweet & make you comfortable - and were super helpful with any questions Ive asked & jewelry changeouts. The jewelry can be on the pricier side, but its well worth it as the quality makes a difference. Its made my piercings from here the easiest and fastest healing of the many that Ive gotten in my life. Id definitely recommend them :)

Jade is my girl, but I wanted something a bit complicated, and Pineapple hooked me up! I ❤️ my new piercing! Absolutely the best place for body mods, piercings, and the like. Professional, sterile, and so so so nice! I only go here for my body piercings, so I havent been inked here...yet, but after my experience with Pineapple, Im thinking of filling in some blanks! 🍍

5 Stars for Jade and the lovely front desk person!!!! They both have always greeted me and took the time to discuss my piercing needs. I’ve been here twice and received 5 piercings from Jade. I’d much rather spend the extra $$ here due to quality, professionalism, cleanliness, and an overall excellent business.

Beautiful clean shop. Love the jewelry selection. Everyone was super sweet and kind. Very tasteful and unique pieces. You can even get custom ordered jewelry. I took my mom to get her nose pierced by Pineapple and he was fantastic, extremely professional, and fun. The whole procedure took like 2 minutes or less. Very sterile and clean. I highly suggest taking your kids here for their first ear piercings. Those piercing guns at Claires or Icing are very damaging, more painful, and cause scar tissue.

Great experience from start to finish. I called a few hours before coming to make sure they were open and operational. I ended up getting my left nostril pierced by Jade. She was friendly, informative and explained what she was doing as she was doing it. You can tell they take COVID precautions very seriously as the shop was super clean and was actively being cleaned in between piercing sessions. As some other have mentioned the jewelry is a tad expensive but at least the quality is good!

This place is by far the best place to get pierced. Placement & healing advice is really awesome. I’ve had my nose pierced several times by various places and these people are kind and helpful. They are clean and take infection control seriously. 👏🏻👍🏻

I am so happy we found this place. Reluctantly I agreed to let my offspring get their septum pierced for their 16th birthday. Travis was the piercer and there was another gentleman at the counter. They were both amazing!These people know their stuff. You can tell they are dedicated to quality work. They went above and beyond to set expectations and make sure we were prepared every step of the way. They were adamant with me and the other patrons that they only do things the right way to ensure a good end result.The facility itself was extremely clean, moreso than any other pierce-tattoo shop I have been in.It was on the higher end regarding price but it includes all follow up care.

So, this isnt by far my first piercing, but it was by far my best experience. The cleanliness and attention to detail are impeccable. The after care instructions and even plan for follow-up to see the healing process of the piercings are things Ive never experienced. My fiancé and I both got our noses pierced by Travis. He was amazing! Very friendly and meticulous with his work. They have a very large selection of nice jewelry which I will return at a later time to purchase. The prices are a bit on the higher side but for the quality, its worth it.

I went to get my navel pierced by Jade a month ago, Jade was super friendly and professional. She first made sure I had the correct anatomy to do the piercing, and then had me lay down and stand up so she could correctly mark me so that it would sit right on my body. She was very clear about everything and made sure I was comfortable, and told me what she was doing every time she touched me.I emailed her for the month check-up and she was very helpful with some issues I was having and gave me some suggestions. I’m so glad I went to her and will definitely go back for anything else.

Jade, who pierced my septum was informative, professional and very sweet. The shop was super clean and felt like a sterile environment. They even cover every part of their system that you touch such as the ipad and payment processor with cellophane.The very kind person at the front whose name I cannot recall was super kind and used gender neutral pronouns with me which I appreciated as a nonbinary person ☺️

I got pierced by Jade a week ago and I have nothing but great things to say. The shop is VERY clean and they have a great assortment of jewelry. Jade is also an angel. She did a great job piercing me - I barely felt anything - and she just has the most calming energy. I am definitely going to keep coming back to Shaman so Jade can continue to pierce me. 😊Also - just a note. This is not piercing pagoda. You are not walking out of here paying $40 for a piercing. The jewelry Shaman uses is expensive and the brands they use (BVLA, Buddha jewelry, etc) are going to be expensive wherever else you go that carries them. Save up to buy a beautiful piece and keep it in your ear forever!

Jade was super friendly and helped me find the best earrings in my budget. She has an amazing eye for earring placement, and balanced out my two new piercings perfectly with the other earrings I already have. I went to Shaman for the first time yesterday. Jade helped me with several jewelry upgrades as well as a new piercing and my experience was absolutely phenomenal! Jade was so professional, knowledgeable, and patient with me as I picked out jewelry and asked questions. After consulting with her on an old, failed piercing (done at a different shop), we decided to do a new faux rook and it was the most stress-free piercing experience ever. To top it off, the in-shop jewelry selection is top notch. This is the piercing experience Ive been looking for!!

I had a couple of piercings done by Jade many, many years back and that was great, but I want to talk about is how well Shaman stands behind their product. I had a custom gold stud, several years old, that broke. They repaired it under warranty, for free, and even gave me a ball stud to hold the piercing open during the repair. Also, they provide free jewelry installation service on pieces that your purchase from them. Great service.

Jade did a fantastic job with my septum piercing. She explained the piercing and healing process thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable. When it came time to pick out a piece of jewelry she helped me find something perfect. She also did great fixing a shallow naval piercing I had from another place.I had a bad experience with a former artist here and got to talking with Pineapple & Benji Barreto after they heard what happened. It had been about a year since the experience and these guys were so understanding and helpful. Benji finished the piece and made some of the former artist’s mistakes into something beautiful and I can’t thank him enough. I love it!

Got a helix piercing here on my 19th birthday in June. I had been to a different Shaman location previously for a nose piercing when I was 16 and my very nervous mother approved!The store is beautifully decorated and spotless. Went in on a weekday with a friend and was helped immediately. Jade did a great job and my piercing is perfectly placed for any jewelry. I had absolutely no problems healing it.My friend who came with me said she will now go to Shaman for all her piercings and I agree! Literally the best option in Austin and all locations have been fantastic in my experience. Will be coming back soon!

Jade is so professional and an amazing piercer. She won’t try to over sell you. I went in to get my nose “re-pierced” and she told me she could stretch the old piercing (that I thought had closed). She is so kind and always answers my questions (and I feel like I always have a lot). The jewelry is top quality, and you will spend more but I can guarantee it will be 100% worth it. I will never go to anyone else again!I’ve also gotten multiple tattoos from James (even before he came to Shaman). He’s phenomenal and a lot of fun to talk to. He has a great style and his work is superb. I always get compliments on his work.The store is clean and their procedures for Covid are A+. You really do feel safe going in. Shaman Modification has to be the best place to get your piercings done. Cannot recommend this place enough. I have gotten my last 6 piercings from them: conch, rook, daith, helix, and my third lobes on both sides without ANY infections or issues. Wait may be long depending on the day but they are always helpful. My #1 place to go!!

Wonderful selection of quality jewelry, AND you are able to order the jewelry with different specifications if you would like! The price might seem high, but its absolutely worth it. They have knowledgeable piercers who can recommend the best placements and jewelry to fit it. They helped me both swap a helix hoop I had been unable to remove myself, but did an amazing job on my conch piercing! I absolutely recommend them.

I have finally found my body mod home!!! This specific location is fantastic! Jade and Sugar were incredibly helpful and so nice! Jade hooked me up with a new nose ring and stretched my lobes for me. I went this week and worked with Ian Seth on a lovely Mothers Day tattoo I wanted! Everything was easy from the initial email, setting up the appointment and making payments. Ian is a super chill guy with a great personality and does AMAZING line work! I love my tattoo and will definitely be back! Was a walk-in today and was assisted by Jade with questions about my nostril piercing that I had done recently at a different shop. She was so kind and thorough in her assessment of my piercing and issue. She made sure I understood my options and why my piercing was incorrect. I will be returning to her to have my piercing redone once it is healed!!!!

I usually dont like to write reviews, but I want to make sure people are very cautious when choosing Spadi at Shaman Modification North Austin for their tattoo artist.I got my first tattoo by him because I liked his portfolio of work. He says on his bio that he is extremely well versed in all things tiny, black & grey and fine-line.My first tattoo was a circle, if there is anything that tests line quality it is something that appears to be simple but can actually be extremely complex just in the fact that there is no other embellishment in the design. Please find attached to this message the image of his circle he created.After e-mailing the next day about making the line weight heavier or asking what should be done as the circle does not look right (the line is jagged & filled heavier in some places). I received no message. I emailed him again absolutely no communication still.This has compelled me to share. If you are looking for someone who really cares (about you & about their work) and also has the skill to nail a fine precision in their line quality I would not recommend Spadi as a tattoo artist.

Clean and well-lit; not filled with music so loud you cant hear yourself think like some places Ive been. Their artists are amazing. Tattoos are by appointment only right now. Prices reflect quality. Ive had two piercings and a tattoo done here and the work was exquisite. Ive seen what their artists can do freehand and it nearly tempts me to let them have free rein (to date Ive done all my own designs except for Friday the 13th tattoos).

I was able to get my first tattoo from Ian yesterday, and the whole experience was great! The wait was a little long, but it was worth it! Everyone was very nice and Ian was a rad guy to talk to while getting tatted! Definitely going to come back!

I had the pleasure of seeing Jason to get my septum pierced. After a car accident that required me to take my piercing out, i was able to see Jason a second time to get the septum stretched. I then went back to Jason yet again for my paired nostrils. Jason is very professional and helpful with follow up care for piercings. 10/10 recommend for all your piercings in austin.

Ive gone here and gotten several piercings from Jade. Jade is super nice and very knowledgeable. This is not at all a complaint but you should know before going that this is a higher end piercing shop with quality jewelry so the prices are much higher than the average piercing shop. Expect to spend $100+ with jewelry for each piercing. Work and quality is top notch and overall well worth the price.

Great place for piercing. I would go back of want another piercing. Their jewelry is pricy but it is high quality and real gold and gemstones are offered as well. Cody was professional and made my nose piercing nearly painless. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs a piercing. I already have a favorite tattoo artist elsewhere so I cant say anything about tattoo work here.

I worked with Jonathon Fiore and had the best tattooing experience of my life. From day one he took me seriously and treated me as if I was the most important customer he had. I definitely didn’t feel like just a number. He never pressured or rushed me and met with me on two different occasions to determine the artwork that I wanted tattooed. Not only did he do a great job before hand, but he is exceptional at his craft and you can tell he loves his work. He uses top notch products, and even made my tattooing experience vegan friendly, per my request. Lastly, his after-care experience was great and I had no issues with the healing process. After some research, I went here for a Monroe piercing. The place was clean, professional and personable. It was a bit pricey, but Jade was fantastic. She filled me in on ppr work to complete there in store, and explained the piercing process. It was quick (and painful) lol...but it is a lip piercing. I love my look!

This was my second time with Shaman and my first tattoo! You better believe I did thorough research for my first, and Jonathan Fiore was an absolute dream. He is talented, personable, and patient — just a great guy / artist. I highly recommend him for any tattoo you’re considering and especially someone’s first.His customer service is impeccable. He completed a complimentary consultation and scheduled me for a month or two later (he’s popular!). He is extremely communicative and quick to respond to messages. He was flexible and must’ve spent at least 3 hours with me the day of perfecting the design. The tattooing itself took about 2 hours and he was so accommodating — for example, he was welcoming and nice to my partner who held my hand the whole time and asked questions during the process. He doesn’t wear headphones and his rationale is that he needs to be attuned to what his client is feeling and how they are responding during the tattooing.But all of that was nothing compared to his artistry — he spent 2 hours tattooing TINY serif letters to my body, complete with ligatures and linguistic symbols. Everyone who has seen it has said it looks like a stamp or typed out letters. Absolutely perfect.So all in all, a great experience! Highly recommend him and the shop in general.

It was a bit of a wait, but the staff was awesome. Very polite and helpful, and most importantly: when they werent sure about the scope of their capabilities for a project, theyll recommend you to a more experienced piercer. ABSOLUTELY a huge factor and speaks very highly of a team. Upgraded three pieces and got a good deal on them, and staffed helped me install it safely at no cost. Ill absolutely be returning with friends in the near future. Just be prepared to spend an hour or two, maybe longer for complicated projects or at peak hours.

Spadi is absolutely amazing! He tattooed my wife on a Friday and me on a Sunday afternoon. I don’t know much about tattoos as Spadi gave me my first, but he is extremely talented and made both of us feel comfortable the whole time. I came in to get a rook piercing a while ago and it’s never healed, causing me serious discomfort and infection. I then went to another shop to get it removed and they told me it was nickel in my ear. Knowing that I know the piercing was so overpriced too!! Will not be returning any time in the future.

I got my nose re-pierced here and the piercer was super helpful! There wasnt any wait and the piercing barely hurt. I was in and out of there in 15-20 minutes tops.

Got my tongue pierced about a year ago from here by a piercer named Jade and got permanent lingual nerve damage, would definitely recommend going somewhere else where they actually take their time with marking where the piercing goes and examining well before just sticking the needle through.
