The staff is really genuine and cool. The owner is a really cool dude, very respectful. I have been working with @Jess.coker.tattoos on 9 tattoos so far, THE best and easiest experience I have had. Her work is amazing, and coming together on our tattoo ideas has been a great experience.

Absolutely fabulous experience and tattoo work! Im new to the area and my husband and I wanted to get matching tattoos for our anniversary. We were also under a time crunch due to our travel schedules. From the initial contact with Max in the studio on the phone, I was treated with such friendliness, courtesy, and willingness to try to make something work for us. He checked on a few things and and immediately got back to me re: options. He was wonderful. Lexie was our artist, and she is amazing - superb line work, great light touch - it was the hubbys first tattoo and she made sure he was comfortable and answered questions, etc. I also really appreciated that due to our situation and distance we were driving, Max and Lexie went out of their way to let us come in early so we could have this special commemorative experience. I really cant say enough nice things about this shop. It is very clean, professional and the people are friendly and approachable. Top-notch work. Highly recommend. If you are considering, go for it. This is the absolute best tattoo shop i have ever been to! Ricky the owner is the most professional guy and accommodates everything you need for your appointment and artwork! The whole staff is super friendly and the facility is very clean. I will be coming back here for all my future tattoos!

Cannot say enough good things. My best friend was in town and asked to get matching tattoos and this was her first. I went in the shop to make a last minute appointment and they were more than accommodating. When we came in for our appointment my friend was nervous, but Max made her super comfortable and explained every step of the process thoroughly. We got little ones but they look fabulous and the way we were treated was beyond hospitable. Thank you for making such an amazing memory for us and for any future tattoo needs I will be back and recommend to anyone.

Jess did amazing! I came in from out of state and had an appointment with another salon who refused to do what I wanted. Found Jess and she went above and beyond my design. I recently got a tattoo from Rodney and he hit it absolutely out of the park. He hand designed the whole thing for me after I gave him minimal direction and then went on to crush it for me over the 2 sessions. Rodney is clearly a hugely talented, very experienced artist who deeply cares about his craft, knows his stuff and made the overall experience awesome. He has also since done a killer custom piece for my Son that jealously may have come out even better than mine. Could not recommend Rodney more. Hes a great artist and an awesome person too. Ill be back

They took myself and two brothers as walk-ins. Lexie took some ideas and came up with the perfect tattoo for me. She does great work and is not heavy handed. Would 100% sit with her again.

Jess, Kendall and Lexi were AMAZING! We are in town just visiting and decided on a spontaneous tattoo adventure, and these ladies made us feel all the more excited for our new ink! They were super personable and fun to chat with while they worked. Loved every minute!

I had a absolutely fantastic time getting my first tattoo from Rodney here. Rodney was extremely professional and shared some great advice when I came with my design resulting in a superior product. While being very talented, Rodney also is extremely personable and client oriented. I had nearly a 4 hour session with him and time flew by. I could not recommend Rodney more for anyone interested in getting a tattoo.

The literal best tattoo experience I have ever had! JESS IS AMAZING! She took an idea and a photo of my cat and did an absolutely incredible job. She more than exceeded my expectation. It’s the most beautiful art. I will never go anywhere again.

I went here with my son for his first tattoo and adding another myself. Alexis did the design work for both of us, it was very simple designs with Roman Numerals but she did a good job of making sure the size and alignment was what we wanted. Alexis and Caleb ended up doing our work and they were both extremely professional during the entire process. The place was busy with walk in clients but I never once felt like we were being rushed through the process. I would definitely recommend checking this studio out if you are in the area.

The owner was so kind and personable. I was emotional having my dogs paw print tattooed. I have been to many different shops, and hand down the best one! Highly recommend them.

Kendall was amazing! She perfected my grandmother’s handwriting to the point it made me bawl when I saw it. Then she asked to give me a hug. I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes. I would recommend this shop 1000 times over!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful. The shop was very clean and modern. I observed the artists following all hygiene protocols very closely. Ricky did my tattoo. He was absolutely awesome. He was super helpful with the design process, friendly, fast and most of all, did an incredible job. I love it so much. I will be back and will definitely recommend to anyone who has many tats or getting their first one. Dont pass by this gem of a tattoo shop.

By far one of the best tattoo studios I have ever been to!! Caleb did my tattoos and I am absolutely in love with his talented fine line work and my tattoos are perfect. Everyone there was so kind. Lexie was also extremely helpful and kind and helped me really nail down my placement. Could not recommend this place more!

To be fair my 1st experience at the edge was not very nice I left a rough review about my experience. The owner personally reached out to me through my army buddy and we spoke he was very understanding and wanted to make it right. Ive since changed my review based how he handled it even though Ive never gotten a tattoo from here i WILL be back AND I look forward to having a reason to put a 5 star review in.

I went in SUPER last minute. I’m talking last day of my trip, like at open. Which wasn’t super cool of me for sure, but in Chicago, you can just walk in and they’ll take you. So it was a little bit of a culture shift for me. The tattoo I wanted needed an appointment realistically, but when I mentioned it was my last day so I couldn’t do an appointment a week out, Lexi was incredibly accommodating even though she could have very well told me to eff off. She asked that I come back later in the day so she could have time and when I came back, she gave me a beautifully done tattoo. When I go back to Charleston, and I get another tattoo, if she’s at this place, I’m going to her. Max seemed really cool too haha. Thank you guys so much!

Max, Lexie, and the owner, Ricky, are just solid people. Add to that that they do splendid work, and we have a good thing. We (7 women) walked into the studio on a Saturday afternoon, which is currently when they advertise taking walk-ins, a third of us knowing what we wanted and they others trying to figure it out. Max stepped right in and helped with ideas and flow. Once Max got things sorted out, Ricky and Lexie started creating and listening and recreating. One by one, they worked us through, and there was so much laughter and good conversation along the way. Before we knew it, we all had pieces of art to carry with us thanks to those three. It was such a pleasant experience.

I scheduled a tattoo with Ryan and I am so, so happy with how it turned out! He did so much preparation for the design, worked with my ideas and made them come to life better than I could have imagined. He was fun to work with, very professional and I had a blast with Eric and Lexi in the studio as well. I will definitely come back for another tattoo! 🤙🏽🩷

Since being back in SC, its been hard to find a shop I feel comfortable in again, but I found that at the edge tattoo studio. The artists are as kind, as talented, and I recommend going for a solid tattoo experience.

The best experience EVER!!! We were in Charleston on a bachelorette weekend. We decided last minute that we wanted tattoos. We stopped in this place and the service was fantastic from the moment we walked in. The guy at the counter was so professional. They were able to fit us in within 30 mins. We met Ryan that was doing a great looking tat on another customer. Lexi was our tattoo artist and I can’t say enough about her. She was AMAZING!!!! Clean environment with great friendly staff. I recommend anyone to check them out if ever in Charleston.

Got a chest piece I’ve been wanting forever! My artist was Alexis, she was very professional and made my experience amazing! She got me scheduled easily and quickly! If you are looking for a fun and professional experience, Alexis is your girl! All the other staff was amazing as well! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! 10/10!

3 of us were walk-ins they did not have any openings but offered to stay open a little longer for us. We wanted tattoos for our father that passed away and these were in memory of him. It was simple little tattoos so it all worked out. They did a great job. I love an artist that will say they wouldnt do a tattoo because of bleeding instead of getting something now and it bleeding later.

My best friend and I walked in an hour before closing and asked if they could do matching, small, fine line tattoos for us and they were so accommodating. Lexie knocked it out of the park and gave us the most perfect tattoos! Thank you Lexie for a great experience!

Ricky is an amazing and talented artist. He worked with me to make a custom tattoo. Let him share his wisdom of what will work and not work. I listened to his suggestions and the end product was beautiful.He is also very personable. I know that you will love working with him as much as I did. We were only in town a few days from Ohio and wanted to get matching tattoos as our souvenir spur of the moment. The Edge not only fit us in but went above and beyond and stayed after their shift in order to accommodate us even though we were walk ins. Fine line tattoos look fantastic and are exactly what we wanted. Clean, inviting and personable from the front desk receptionist to the artists to the owner!! We will make this a stop when we are in town again to work on some other ideas we have for ink. Thank you so much!!

Incredible tattoo shop with some awesome people who will make sure you’re happy with your tattoo needs! Me and my friend came in to get sharks teeth tattoos which were perfect and exactly like we wanted. They had a raffle going on for a $500 voucher which I ended up winning! I took the time to plan and book the new tattoo and just recently came in and got it. Soooo happy with the process, people, and of course, tattoo! Made sure I was comfortable and happy :) definitely recommend for your next tat

Ricky was the absolute best!! We’re from out of town, came to folly beach and could not be happier to get a tattoo on vacation. He was absolutely amazing, took the time to help us when nobody else would on short notice and was so precise and patient.
