Really nice employees and Alli is so sweet and you can tell she cares about not only your results, but also the process. Super clear instructions for aftercare.The place is super clean and comfortable.Only downside is that jewelry is excessively expensive (you have to buy each earring separately as well as the backings separately). If you can bring in your own jewelry that is APP approved, youd be better off if you arent looking to pay a minimum of $90 for a pair of earrings including the backings.Overall great experience

Upon entry of the shop, it was very clean and organized. The employees were very professional and welcoming. My nostril piercing was done by Ali and she was very reassuring and educated. My experience here was great, with the exception being the prices of the jewelry. I would NOT buy jewelry from here as the prices were absolutely absurd. They do have real rose gold, white gold, and gold. However, they were ridiculously over priced. I think their cheapest stud was $80. If they had anything cheaper they surely didn’t show me even though I said $80 was the max. The back pieces cost $13 dollars a piece. I’m not a cheap person but I thought that was truly insane. I highly recommend buying your own jewelry before getting your piercing here. But DO get your piercing here!

Got a rook and helix piercing by Lucy yesterday. She was great. Very experienced and made the process easy!The staff that help you choose your jewelry and get set up are also super professional and helpful. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly.I had a bad experience elsewhere about 15 years ago and had sworn off piercings. After yesterday, I’m already thinking about what I want on my other ear.Thank you to all the lovely ladies at Sadu! Highly recommend!

SADU was the perfect choice for my 5 year old daughters ear piercing experience. We could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff were thoughtful and respectful. Leda was amazing with my daughter and put us both at ease. She explained everything before she did it so there were no surprises and made my daughter feel comfortable. I remember being slightly traumatized as a child getting my ears pierced so Im thankful my daughters experience was so different. 10/10... would recommend for young children. Ask for Leda!

I went to SADU at the beginning of this month to get my Helix pierced. My piercer was Kayla and she did an amazing job! She was also very knowledgeable. I have never been to a piercing place so thorough and with such variety of piercing jewelry. I can’t wait to come back for my forward helix piercing

I loved my experience here! I got my nostril pierced and it was my first piercing since having my ears pierced as a baby. Everyone in the main area was very kind and personable with amazing customer service, and although I didn’t catch her name, the person who helped me choose my jewelry was both very kind and knowledgeable and was very patient with me while I decided what kind of jewelry I wanted. I had my nostril pierced by Leda, who was absolutely amazing! I was extremely nervous but they certainly helped me by explaining everything they were doing and I was virtually in and out although they were very thorough throughout the process. I CANNOT wait to come back and will certainly be booking with Leda from here on out!!

Cindy is professional, personable, sweet, knowledgeable, and badass. I was somewhat nervous to do a pair of 3rd lobes, a helix, and a rook all in one go but she was very sweet and cheered me on the entire time. I’m so happy with how everything turned out and I will for sure be back to see her when it’s time to add to this ear or start working on the other 🩵 you pay more at Sadu than you do most piercing studios but it’s for a reason- the counter staff is very genuine and professional and both Cindy and Lucy are some of the best in NC. I am so happy with how everything is healing (best healing experience I’ve had with piercings to date) and can’t wait to be able to change them out!

Cindy was really great! Got a VCH done and it went super well! Very quick and easy! The healing is now going on 4 weeks and it has giving me 0 problems! Sad they don’t offer the Christina piercing, that’s what I’m wanting now but VERY great studio, clean environment, and all of the staff members were friendly & helpful!

Amazing spot!!!!! The whole staff was super helpful and patient. They answered all my questions and took the time to explain, they went above and beyond showing me different jewelry pieces and pricing them for me. When it was time for my actual appointment to get my ears pierced Lucy did an AMAZING job. Slight pinch and it was done. I got a daith piercing and it HAS NOT HURT at all!!!! So glad I found this place! Have been suffering from a helix piercing done at another place that refused to heal and scheduled a “troubleshoot” appointment here to have it checked out. Alli was incredible and very knowledgeable about piercings. Will definitely be returning for my next, and highly recommend anyone looking for a reputable place to get a piercing. They are all certified by Association of Professional Piercers (APP) which gives peace of mind too.

Leda just completed my first piercings (ever!) and it couldn’t have gone better. They were extremely knowledgeable and walked me through aftercare and made the actual piercing stage as chill as possible. The employees up front were also very kind and really took the time to help me pick out my jewelry. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a helix piercing done by Cindy and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Everything was extremely clean, presentable, and the shop is lovely. All the workers there are also very peasant; I would happily recommend Sadu to anyone!

This is the only place I go for all my piercings and jewelry. Appointments are required most of the time and even with an appointment expect a good wait but they are worth it! All my jewelry is from here except my silicone tunnels.

SADU is like no other piercing studio… the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, even when they are balls to walls busy, they still take the time to recognize and invite all guests to browse as they multitask to answer everybody’s questions and give everybody the attention they need. That awesome first impression aside - I went in fordouble high nostril piercings. The lovely Cindy was my piercer and I don’t see myself getting pierced by anybody else ever again. She was an absolute joy to work with!! She is incredibly knowledgeable on all fronts, extremely personable and she calmed all of the nerves that I felt leading up to the piercing. She made sure I left with no questions unanswered and was very thorough in describing what to expect during and after the piercing process. She helped me through and through, from helping me choose the right jewelry, checking me out and the actual piercing. She spent a good 20-30 minutes just mapping out where the piercings would be to fit my anatomy and in doing so she made my crooked nose look so symmetrical lolShe is literally magic. I had the best experience at Sadu! The first time I went, I was in a panic after losing my nose ring, but Sadie was so reassuring and found me the perfect replacement. Then, when I treated myself to some new jewelry, Sadie helped me pick out the most amazing pieces. Cindy did my piercing and she was fantastic. She took her time and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Plus, shes so real and kind. I know Id have a great experience with any of the staff at Sadu!

Leda Bug re-did my forward helix after I ripped it out by accident and it looks even better before! They even added a new helix piercing (dagger in the photo). They are so incredibly professional—Leda knows their stuff! Very patient, answered all of my questions and took their time. Can’t say enough how great they are and the entire studio staff is super cool and helpful. Ask for Leda Bug for your next piercing and don’t even think about going anywhere else!!!

Sadu will be the only place I get piercings from now on. The selection of jewelry was top notch. Cindy helped me out with my consultation for an industrial and provided great information regarding the piercing. The actual procedure was done by Lucy. Loved her great personality and banging playlist! Made me feel comfortable the entire time and explained every step of the process. Lucy did an ear curation and piercings for me. She was incredibly patient, sweet, and knowledgeable! Everyone that works here is VERY passionate about their job which creates such a great atmosphere. Their option are literally endless, every time I walk in here I’m just blown away by the display cases full of all the gorgeous pieces. Everyone was very patient with me which made me feel so comfortable and validated because I’m a very indecisive person. Their pieces are definitely on the pricier end but you get what you pay for, these pieces are so unique! They use surgical grade titanium so, no allergies even if you’re sensitive to metals and, a million gold earring options!!!

I’ve seen Leda a couple times for post downsizes and jewelry installs. They’re always super friendly and upbeat and great to chat with while they’re working. The rest of the staff is nice, patient, and helpful too. I love visiting Sadu!

My sister and I went to Sadu to get our nose pierce. Cindy was our technician and she was great. Shed explained the process from the time I entered in the room, to the actual piercing, to the time I left. If youre nervous about the process, her explaining each step will put you at ease. Sterilization is very important, so I appreciate that the equipment used was fresh out the pack and not reused. Dont want no infection. I enjoyed my experience with Cindy.

I’ve recently gotten all new set of earrings and one new piercing. The employees at the front are the best. Both times, they spent a lot of time with me ensuring I picked jewelry I liked and that paired well together. Wish I remember the name of the first person who helped me, but the second time was Alida and she was really committed to helping me find pieces I lived. I was pierced by Cindy and she’s wonderful - super personable and affirming. Their space is also great. Parking is next to the building and they have a great selection.

I love this Plaza Midwood gem! Went in for a piercing and really loved their selection and customer service while helping me select exactly what I was looking for. I have been a coming here for decades now. Haven’t been back in years cause I had moved. I did a walk in today just to get my daith Replaced and have my belly ring looked at. I had that done decades ago and after 2 kids it was stretched and didn’t know if I could even get a ring that would look good in it. Let me tell you the ladies up front are gems. Leda was my girl. Not only are the the most knowledgeable about what’s best for you but they really take their time to make sure you get the most amazing experience you can. Leda looked at my stuff and took measurements like a scientist. The girls up front worked extra hard to find me the exact jewelry I wanted. Broke down pricing for me. Leda then took me back and took her time to make sure I was as comfortable as possible and made all my dreams come true. The jewelry is gorgeous. I haven’t been able to wear a belly ring in 14 years and she made me feel hot. I left there on cloud 9. Im telling you worth the 2.5 hour drive and I don’t go anywhere else to get pierced. So don’t hesitate make an appointment you will not regret it.

I absolutely love Sadu. I have been coming here for years and each time I am left beyond satisfied. The jewelry selection is top notch and the customer service and care is unmatched here. During my most recent visit I met with Lucy for a VCH consultation and everything went great. She answered all my questions and made me feel so comfortable. I came back to get my VCH and Lucy talked me through the entire piercing. she place the piercing perfectly, eased my nerves, and gave me all of my after care instructions and made this the most enjoyable piercing experience I’ve had. Coyote, Sadie, and Riley are also so helpful, sweet, and amazing. They helped me pick out the most beautiful opal flower and ball. The place is usually busy (because they are so awesome ☺️) so I would recommend making an appointment. Professionalism, knowledge, customer service, quality, and experience are all a 10/10!

My 7.5-yr-old daughter just had her lobes pierced with Leda Bug and she was WONDERFUL! From the moment you walk in, everyone from the check-in person to the other people helping my daughter select her jewelry was patient and kind, and helped her shake her nerves away. Leda was hands down THE BEST person to pierce kids ears. She really took her time during the appointment and showed my daughter each piece of equipment she was using, offered to let her touch it (the parts that werent sterile or going to be used for her ears), offered kind enthusiasm and support, frequently checked in with her to make sure she was comfortable every step of the way, and also confirmed she was ready to proceed with the second ear! As an RN I noted she maintained an exceptionally clean environment! I wouldnt hesitate to go back to Sadu, and would highly recommend Leda for all your kids first time ear lobes! She was such an effervescent joy to be around!

As a first-timer at 17, I was naturally nervous, but from the moment I stepped in, Cindy Foster and her team completely eased my nerves. Their warmth and professionalism immediately put me at ease. I’ve been to Sadu on a regular basis. I initially went to troubleshoot an old rook piercing I had. Lucy and Kayla are super knowledgeable piercers. Everyone at the counter knows their stuff when it comes to jewelry and are so sweet. They are willing to work with your budget for jewelry.I’ve since been back to trouble shoot a few piercings, get them downsized, get new piercings and shop jewelry. I love Sadu. It’s even better that they’re APP certified piercers.This is the best shop in town.

I’ve never gotten pierced here, but I had some issues and was really turned off. had called in to schedule an appointment, the woman was very kind but booking is only done online. The app/site they use is not user friendly at all (I’m under 30 and it made me feel like a dinosaur). I was having a lot of issues and it took me a while to book, and I called and said I couldn’t book with the person they suggested and they said they couldn’t change it. Days later cancelled my appointment but received no notification or confirmation of cancellation. I had to submit ANOTHER request to cancel with a note saying hey please let me know if this was canceled. They did do this, but after my second time trying. The appointment was still booked even though I submitted my cancellation. In my humble opinion, but also experienced in getting piercing services performed for the past decade, it shouldn’t be this hard. Employees should be able to help people with scheduling. Head piercers should not have to be consulted with for piercings. If you want to do everything online, fine. Send out a cancellation confirmation email when someone cancels a $10 consultation in advance. (Also have never had to pay a consultation fee)? I’m not sure as the quality of service moving forward but it seemed like nonsense to me. I appreciate doing due diligence proceeding with caution and doing consultations. The process was just really absurd. Only leaving this as constructive feedback nothing personal!

I’m new to Charlotte and I wanted my nose pierced so I found this place on IG. I booked an appointment with Leda Bug. Best piercer I have had so far. The absolute best place to go in Charlotte. The team is very patient when making selections since there’s so many pieces of jewelry to choose from. I’ve always felt very welcomed coming in by the team! They truly care for their clients and their choices. I’ve recently had my helix done by Kayla and she’s also helped correct a horrible nostril piercing done by a different studio. She’s honestly the best in the city! I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else.

Went into Sadu at the end of January for a nose piercing. Booked with Cindy. She was absolutely amazing! Kept things very calm, clean and organized. Talked me through the entire process and it was overall a wonderful experience. All of the employees I interacted with were super kind and helpful, especially when I had questions while picking out jewelry for the piercing.

Ive been here for 6 piercings in total so far, and plan to return for more! The staff is incredibly helpful, and will do everything in their power to make your experience personal and extremely positive. Never had a bad time here. In fact, Ive actually walked away with different piercings than I had planned as the store associate suggested a new and better idea than what I came in with. They are very passionate about the art of piercing here, which is exactly where I want to be! If you want a clean, safe, and extraordinarily friendly experience with your piercings, I cant recommend Sadu enough.

Took the 7 yr old for her ear lobes. Staff was amazing and patient. Spoke directly to her and got her opinion. Made her feel so involved and awesome about her ears. Leda Bug was amazing! They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and got consent from me before doing anything. They made sure I was still doing okay after the piercings (I was - they were painless) and it was a pretty quick process. Will definitely be going back to see Leda for future piercings.

Walked in just needing a replacement for my nose ring because mine fell down the drain. I went to 3 tattoo places before this one with no luck. Ended up at Sadu panicky trying to find something. I was told Prices ranged from $35-500 and I was like 🥴🥴🥴 oh wow! Wasn’t expecting to spend that much that day for a replacement but I was desperate. Luckily someone pointed me in the direction of the lower priced jewelry and was super nice about it. Needless to say I will be returning because the jewelry was phenomenal and the prices weren’t all too bad depending on what you wanted!

Everyone here were so kind to my daughter when she was getting her ears pierced! She was the one who decided to get her ears pierced (I dont even have mine pierced, lol), but she was super scared of the whole procedure. Im not sure she would have gone through with it if they hadnt all been so encouraging, reassuring, and nice to her. One employee gave her a small Squishmallow to temporarily squish while she got it done and they gave her a popsicle afterwards, too! So sweet!!The only thing that somewhat upset me was the wait to do it all. I didnt want to show it while we were there because I was just focusing on my daughter and keeping her calm. But, we were there for three hours total - two hours of us just simply standing/sitting to wait. I was confused on why they force you to make appointments when they dont adhere to the times. Even going back for her check-up appointment to get a shorter post had a long wait time. So, definitely give yourself a whole day if youre wanting to get anything done. The piercers I went to 20 years ago (I have had 5 piercings, just never my ears) always made their appointments specific and precise, so I guess Im just basing it on that.To give you an idea, it was also almost $200 for her to get normal lobe piercings - we bought jewelry from them. $50 for the piercings, $78 for the jewelry, and $13 for the really cool spray to clean her ears (NeilMed Wound Wash). That spray made everything so much easier for a 13 year old to keep up with!Ultimately, though, this is the best place to go around to get some quality piercings! I definitely recommend!

WOW! I was completely blown away by the customer service we received at this gem of a shop in Plaza Midwood. I took my daughter in because one of the earrings she had purchased nearly a year ago recently broke. The customer service rep (who looked phenomenal in a Halloween costume) was so friendly and helpful. She told us the earring came with a lifetime warrantee and offered to provide a replacement... which was terrific because my daughter was going to a Homecoming dance that night. Thank you!! SADU ROCKS! I would advise making an appointment because they are the best.

Sadu has incrediblie policies regarding sanitation and has gone to lengths Ive never experienced before with other piercers to ensure my safety. The brochure they provided regarding aftercare was in depth and they also had me schedule a second appointment so they could check on how my piercing was doing after a month. Their jewelry selection is absolutely gorgeous and also incredibly high quality since they only offer implant grade titanium and 12/14k gold. The one con is that it is expensive but the quality of jewelry and service really made that worth it to me. I got a nostril piercing.

I just got my lobes, conch, and helix pierced here they were absolutely wonderful. I had someone help pick out all my jewelry and they were extremely patient with and worked with my budget to find the best pieces. Kayla was a wonderful piecer and she helped me stay calm throughout the whole process. She gave me time to breathe between each between piercing and was amazing!! I couldn’t recommend this place more wonderful piercers and gorgeous jewelry.

They wont just take your money and give you any piercing you want, they will ensure that you have the correct anatomy and know the full healing process of every piercing.Every piercing I have gotten here so far has been done with the utmost care and precision. I have been given detailed instructions on aftercare and down-sizing needs, something other shops have never mentioned to me before. Every single one of my piercings from here has healed/is healing perfectly.They have also helped me recently when I needed a last minute appt to get my jewelry switched to retainers before a surgery. They were so so kind and understanding while I was stressed. They really made the whole process extremely easy and comfortable for me.I dont know the names of all who Ive interacted with, but I can say that all of their jewelry specialists up front are amazingly kind and knowledgeable. The piercers Ive had are Cindy and Kayla, both of whom are extremely knowledgeable and thorough.If youve read this far, the last thing I will mention is the EXTENSIVE stock of high quality and FINE body jewelry that SADU has. The only shop in Charlotte that Ive found to stock all of the high end brands like BVLA, Tawapa, Anatometal etc. Highly highly recommend :)

My friend and I made appointments to get piercings together. I was adding a third piercing to both lobes, as well as conch and flat piercings to my right ear. I hadn’t had my ears pierced since I was a kid so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff up front welcomed us in and helped us pick jewelry that would coordinate for an overall look. Once everything was picked out and sanitized, Leda came to get me for the piercing. They did a great job explaining everything that would happen. We talked about the pieces I had picked and actually swapped the conch and flat pieces so they worked better with my ear shape. Leda was so awesome, walking me through, step by step, as they did each piercing. They thoroughly explained aftercare and gave me all the info for my follow up appointment in a month. Leda was professional, knowledgeable, and so friendly. I highly recommend both Leda and Sadu for your piercings. I will be back!

Kayla did an excellent job piercing my septum today! She was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable, and she made me feel comfortable the entire time. Lucy is the best! My nose is not the straightest and she took her time aligning my septum piercing so it would look flush. She did beautiful work and was easy to chat with while I was waiting. Highly recommend this place for Septum piercings and septum care products.

My friend and I went to get our nose piercings together and the experience was amazing from start to finish! Parking is easy to find. My favorite part of it all was that they helped us choose the perfect jewelry piece, asking our desires and goals for the piece. We were not rushed at all, considering their very large selection of jewelry.The person piercing us was Kayla ^.^ She MADE sure to make my double nose piercings even, which they were not prior :3 There was very little pain and Kayla is super friendly!Jewelry is on the pricey side BUT the pieces are very beautiful and well worth it. Same goes for the service, worth every penny. We felt very taken care of by the staff members and their attention to detail is like no other. The overall experience took about an hour which I dont mind. Great things take time. Ive been to places where they dont even want you there and rush to get you out the door :P I will definitely be coming back ^.^

Over all experience was great. I do wish they took appointments. It was pretty busy we were there start to finish about 3hrs. The actual piercing only took 15min. That being said, my daughter was incredibly pleased with the result, definitely worth the wait!

I took my daughter last week for her first lobe piercing. She was super nervous, but Leda did an amazing job with her. They explained every step of the way what would happen, continually checked in with her, and even helped her with some breathing exercises. Leda was incredibly kind and professional, and shopping for the jewelry was easy and fun. Will definitely be back!

Went with my friend to have some piercings done and the experience was 10/10 in every aspect. Riley was extremely sweet and helpful as well as the other young lady that was helping us out front. Cindy made the piercing experience as quick and easy as possible and I am looking forward to seeing her again!

I got a septum done here today. I felt like an instant priority upon walking in, and everyone was very helpful in guiding me through my first ever piercing. I was especially pleased with the work my piercer AC did. I felt like I was in a real expert’s hands. I was sized up, given options for what would work well for my nose and face, and felt very confident as I sat down to get the piercing done. Overall a fantastic experience; I’ll definitely go back to Sadu when I want to get something pierced again.

I was at SADU for the first time on 11/28/23. Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful picking out jewelry. Kayla did my piercings. She was very professional and informative. I was nervous and she made me so comfortable. I highly recommend SADU and ask for Kayla you will not be disappointed.

Leda Bug did an amazing job with my piercing and was so kind throughout the entire process. Today, I got a double conch piercing done and let me tell you—Leda Bug is fantastic! They did my single conch on my other ear in the past with a larger piece (I have baby ears lol!) and worked so hard to make sure I had my desired piece in my ear! The same exact effort was put into my double conch and as always, Leda does a great job walking me through every step of the process. They always educate me on the aftercare of my piercing and ensure that they keep themselves and the space very clean (always changing gloves, washing hands, etc.). They are also just an absolute joy to be around and are super encouraging throughout the entire process. Highly highly recommend going to Leda for any of your piercing needs!

I came into Sadu for a Philtrum piercing which was done by the lovely Kayla. She is so kind and very knowledgeable in her profession it was just a breeze! Even though I was a zombie coming in after work, everyone’s energy in there was so beautiful, very helpful and their jewelry selection is to die for! Honestly the selection is so overwhelming but they have no problem in helping you out with anything you need definitely wouldn’t go anywhere else but here!

They closed early for easter on a saturday and didn’t update their website. ended up going somewhere else so can’t give an honest review (i even called before i came because i don’t trust google!!). wish places would update their info more often, but oh well. another piercing/jewelry place got $120 from me instead.

I had a consultation for an industrial piercing with Lucy. Even though my ear wasnt the right fit for the piercing, she put dots on my ears with various other piercings that would be a good fit. She also explained why my ear wasnt a good fit and the dangers of what would happen if I went through with the piercing. Some of the people at the front desk also helped to explain the importance of having a good fit for a piercing.I also got a nose piercing at this appointment with Kayla. I really enjoyed the experience. It was an extremely clean environment. Kayla cleaned my nose with the same solution used in surgeries (I watch plastic surgery videos and recognized the name and look). She also put surgical draping over my nose. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the process was. Kayla walked me through the whole process from start to finish. She gave clear and precise after care instructions (I feel like a lot of people forget about that). She even looked at the dots Lucy left on my ears to provide her own input.Overall I thoroughly enjoyed getting my nose pierced. The shop was a filled with lovely people. It was a very welcoming place!

This will be my new place for piercings and to get a lot of cute jewelry from. The girls behind the counters were so patient and helpful.. they were very attentive to everyone walking in. I literally LOVED Leda… she changed out one of my ear piercings for me and pierced my nose for me. She was so clean… washed her hands multiple times, changed gloves etc.. took all the necessary precautions. I loved that even though it was busy today, I didn’t feel rushed by anyone. 10/10 review for me. I can’t wait to go back.

Recently went in for consultation for a specific piercing, and Im very glad that I did. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were honest and up front about everything and helped me get a look that I really liked with my ear shape and anatomy. Lucy was fantastic and very supportive and encouraging. I have been wanting 3 flat piercings for a while and since I am not from the area, I was referred to SADU by a friend. Cindy is fantastic. The week before my appointment she thoughtfully and kindly answered all of my questions. I could tell by her responses that she was a seasoned piercer. I sent her ideas of what I wanted, and she was very agreeable. The day of my appointment I showed up about 30 minutes early to look at their jewelry selection. The shop is clean and bright. Being from LA, I am used to jaded employees at tattoo and piercing studios barely noticing you and being waaaay too cool for school. Not the case here! I was cheerfully greeted by Glenn who knew my name and said, I have been thinking about your piercings and came up with some jewelry combos. What?! How cool is that! I was immediately at ease. I am so glad he was there because the selection of beautiful and hip jewelry is overwhelming (come early to make your selection). Glenn was also very patient and nice and even went to his back stock to make a suggestion for me, informing me about what jewelry would work for my piercing and why. After I selected my jewelry, I sat and relaxed while it was sterilized. Then it was time to go! Cindy took such care and time to make sure my piercings were placed exactly where I wanted them. She used calipers to make sure the spacing was even. Having OCD, I was over the moon with her precision. The piercing went very quickly, and Cindy has a very steady, smooth hand. The entire experience was geared toward making me comfortable while ensuring my health and safety. When she was done and showed me the piercings I was so happy. They turned out beautifully! She then took the time to carefully explain my aftercare. I will definitely go back once my current piercings have healed for some additional piercings. I was very, very impressed by my experience. Please email beforehand and let them know what you want done - I originally asked for another piercer who was not comfortable doing what I had in mind - so Cindy stepped in. I am very grateful that the original piercer knew their limits and wasnt afraid to let us know. Thank you for a professional, clean and educational experience.

I have been going on there since I got my first both lobes pierced. Then, I got my industrial piercing two years later and eventually did another pair on both sides. The services there are immaculate, and I would recommend anyone who is new or looking for a different shop. I will tell you it is worth going there because they will give you feedback depending on what piercing youre aiming for. For example, I brought my best friend there, and she wanted to get navel piercing. Lucy gave her feedback that she wasnt eligible to get it and will explain in depth. Its the fact that they will go to lengths to show that they care about their clients and not just to grab money for their own benefit. This is one of the reasons why I will keep recommending this shop to my friends or anyone who asks for my recommendation.

I got my septum pierced here, and it was a great experience. I was so nervous about it, but it was pretty quick, and I love it. I love how well they walk you through the process of actually sizing your septum to see what size will work for you and then taking the time to go through all of your jewelry options until youre satisfied. I would definitely come here again for another piercing.

Thank you to Kayla for an awesome job with my 6 yo last week. My daughter is known for kicking medical professionals when she gets shots, so I was shocked that Kayla kept her cool calm and collected and that she made it through two piercings without much fuss. I was feeling good walking in and planned on buying a new diamond and gold nose ring just a few days ago. Everything felt perfect the fitting the price was reasonable and I did buy it. Upon walking out I asked about the receipt and she said yea I forgot we normally only give receipts for card users???? I just gave you $350.00 I definitely want my receipt. I walked outside and my wife asked how much I paid for the item, I told her and that’s when she said let’s go back in. The item cost $225.00 but I was charged $350.00 for it. Wow right being a black man with a lot of money was all they saw not knowing I have autism. She used me when we asked for the money back they mentioned a no return policy, then gave me $100.00 back and then I had to basically beg for the other $250.00. I was thinking it was a good business but I don’t deal well with racism, stereotyping and swindling. I have to post this for future customer’s be careful and if your like me kindhearted take some one with you that haves your interest at best.

Amazing! Lucy did my second lobe piercings and did such a great job. I’m afraid of needles, so she talked me through each step and told me exactly what was going on. She also took her time getting the placement just right, and made sure I was happy with each placement. She was encouraging and kind, and I’m super pleased with the end result! 100% recommend!!

The piercers are great, but that’s my only “pro” for this experience. I waited forever, and a couple piercers were bickering where the waiting clients could clearly hear. The owner also made no efforts to step in and expedite the piercing process when everyone was super behind — do your paperwork after hours if your clients are waiting for two hours!My appointment was rescheduled by Sadu due to a piercer’s illness, so I had to go on a day when I had a ton of other appointments and obligations. I arrived on time for an early afternoon appointment and was in the shop for over 2 hours past my appointment time for regular ear piercings. I didn’t even get to my piercer for over an hour after doing my jewelry selection. They were pierced well, but for the price (easily $100 more than I was expecting) I left pretty irritated that I spent an entire afternoon for something that should take 30 minutes.Take 2, coming back to get shorter posts put in (which they charge for). Morning midweek appointment, not sure how they were already behind BUT I didn’t see my piercer for over 30 minutes, then the actual piercing change took about five minutes. The cost is one thing (ended up at $340 total) but my time and the anxiety these delays caused is really what gets me.I’ve had ~a dozen piercings from professional studios all over the country and have never experienced such a crazy wait! Never again!

I came here two weeks ago now to get a few piercings and when I got there I was greeted by a kind lady in the front with a pretty neat style and I was also assisted by another wonderful lady when I was picking out some cool jewelry that they provide. I was given an consultation for my piercings as well and was given some advice on the placement of them. Kayla was very informative and gentle with the whole process. I like the fact that she explained everything that would happen before the procedures. She is a great expert in her work and very knowledgeable. Originally went in for a vertical labret piercing with Lucy, after a consultation she let me know that this particular piercing would probably not fit my anatomy the best because of how my lip curved in when I smiled, I was honestly so grateful Lucy took her time and really gave me the best advice necessary it just shows how profesional this shop and Lucy are, so I ended up getting a normal labret and I’m really happy with it. Everyone at the shop was so friendly and their jewelry selection is awesome, definitely booking any future piercings here :)

I got a cartilage piercing from Ms. Cindy 2 days ago and so far have not experienced any pain, the wound has been completely clean, and I love the way it looks! They have a TON of cute jewelry to choose from as well, I ended up getting a little bee!

My partner and I got a piercing from Kayla just yesterday. I have had a lot of piercings done at different places but this was my first since moving to Charlotte. This is hands down my favorite piercing experience. While looking for jewelry, Sadus team was very thorough and helpful. I didnt feel pressured to buy any jewelry I didnt want (even though I did experience some sticker shock, but maybe thats just the price of jewelry these days). They instantly made us feel comfortable and as we all know some shops can feel very intimidating. Kayla was very accommodating and friendly and made the piercing process as pain-free as possible. She discussed aftercare in great detail and I feel confident they will heal with ease. I cant recommend Kayla and the Sadu team enough.

I had a great experience from start to finish. The customer service was great, staff was friendly, and I just felt welcomed walking through the door. The music was great as well lol. A.C. did my piercing and he explained everything thoroughly as well as talked me through the process while he pierced which helped ease my jitters quite a bit. I came to Sadu recently for nipple piercings. I have been to Sadu previously over 10 years ago for nose and belly button piercings and it was a good experience for a first timer teen.At my most recent appointment, I was treated kindly and with a very friendly demeanor by all the staff. My piercer, Leda, was so kind and comforting. They helped me pick my jewelry and provided me with lots of options beyond what I asked for to make sure I was fully satisfied with my choice. Leda took their time lining things up, letting me check, and being respectful. They provided lots of aftercare information and the piercings look great and even. I can tell they are knowledgeable and skilled. I plan to come back later this year for double nostril piercings!My bestie came with me and wanted a vertical labret but was skillfully advised to get the regular labret. Her piercer was diligent in checking anatomy and recommending what would ultimately cause the least issues even though it wasn’t originally what my friend wanted. In the end, she is really happy with the choice.Thanks!

This is my second time coming to them for a piercing. I got my double nostril piercing done, after coming in a year ago to get my helix and third lobes done. They are all amazing, whether it be their piercers, apprentices, or jewelry specialists they are always so sweet. They make the entire process smooth and worry-free, definitely recommend them! They will get you right, every single time. (Props to Kayla too because my nose piercings slay👌🏼 10/10, and Lucy for my helix and third lobes 🫶🏼)

Unfriendly staff. Super unsettling place there wasnt even music playing. If you are not feeling anxious to begin with, you will feel anxious after being here. And the wait is FOREVER, even though you are required to make an appointment. PLEASE NOTE YOU HAVE TO PAY AND TIP BEFORE YOU EVEN GET THE PIERCING. There is no going back!!!!!

At first the guy servicing us was really rude to me. I’m not sure if it was because I look a certain way, but I almost started crying and almost left. He was just super obnoxious until I told him the piercings I wanted. When I picked out jewelry, he never told me the prices but yet I heard him discussing it with other people after me (he brought it up first to them). I was charged $75 for a piece of jewelry. Their jewelry prices don’t reflect the bars and back hardware which you don’t find out until you’ve check out. And then to top it off, the guy made my husband feel obligated to give a tip (they already charge a piercing fee, so if they need tips, then they should raise their prices). We waited for almost two hours after paying. It made my nerves even worse, and the shop echoes very badly. They also said I needed to return in 30 days after the piercings, and I’m not sure why, because I confirmed with another shop that that’s just another way to make money. Pictured are my new helix and tragus piercings.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Not only did the consult provide me with in depth information about dermal anchors, but also provided me with a sense of security that I was going to be pierced by a professional. The fact that they require the consult is amazing because it ensures the safety of both the client and the piercer. I was pleasantly surprised today by the anodized flat top I received, with the option to change my flat top later once healed. The process was amazing, I wont say painless, because every piercing has a pain to it... but Cindy and her entire staff were welcoming and accommodating. It was a great start to my day! Will recommend this place to all friends and get pierced here for the rest of my mods. Appreciate you all, thank you for running a sterile, clean, and welcoming piercing environment!

Before getting my daughter’s first nose piercing I did alot of researching as to where to take her. Needless to say I ended up at Sadu. I can’t say enough about how professional all the employees are. Cindy has been piercing over 20 years and is so thorough from beginning to end. My daughter said there was literally no pain at all. We did all our follow ups and even had her change the piercing about 10 to 12 months later. So back we went this past week for an early Christmas gift for my daughter again she pierced the other side of her nose. Once again top notch from beginning to end. Mom is thinking of doing her nose as well. Highly recommend Sadu for any of your piercings.Thank you Cindy and all the employees at Sadu!!

Fantastic experience. First time being to a APP studio and the atmosphere was a world of difference in comparison to the local shops I’ve been going to. The front of house staff was knowledgeable and very welcoming. I was a bit awkward as I was nervous what to expect, but they constantly showered me with compliments and friendly conversation. It felt like being a regular as my first time. Lucy did a pair of nostril piercings for me in yellow gold moss agate and a pair of nipple piercings for my partner. The attention to detail in the piercing process, sanitation practices, and effort put in to placement was outstanding. The final cost is a bit expensive, but they have more affordable options. Quite a few procedures need to be done to secure an appointment, but it leads to a very professional environment, quality jewelry, and thoughtful experience. It was well worth the money in my opinion. My partner and I will be back very soon.

Went in to get two nostril piercings on each side. Service was great. They gave me time in between each piercing to make sure I was okay and redid the marking to make sure they were perfectly aligned and I approved of it. Also gave me all the care instruction on what to do and not to do. Overall great experiences, will be going back.

This place will peer pressure you into things you don’t wants and verbally abuse piercings you’ve had for years.I went in to find jewelry for an intimate part. Upon going in, there was a number of things concerning about my service, but the more important part was the extreme peer pressure.Sure, I was relieved to know they did sizings, but I was still very shy about being exposed and have someone analyzing me in this way. I was asked multiple times if I wanted someone to install my new jewelry and SEVERAL TIMES I said “NO.” We continued and after long, EXTREMELY AWKWARD moments of them basically staring me down until I felt forced to change my decision, they finally say “ok, we will get you in for sizing then you can decide.” Ok, cool. Finally, that SUPER uncomfortable experience was over. I felt so violated. Not to mention, when I was explaining to them my reason for being there, jewelry I already had in, how I got pierced and everything, they were being so judgmental and formulating imaginary problems I didn’t have. Eg. “I can already tell you that some of the problems you are experiencing is because of the curved barbell.” I love my curved barbells, never complained about the TYPE of jewelry I had; just that I wanted something longer. In fact, I’ve only EVER had pain because of straight ones. Against my better judgment, I continued…I get in for the sizing and I’m feeling good about my decision to stay instead of leaving earlier, based on what I picked out and the new size. The person who sized me did the same thing as the person who helped me pick out my jewelry. Made up imaginary issues about nothing I complained about. They, too, had asked me if I wanted an installation before we got started - again, I can do it myself. After they size me, they say, “I’m just gonna put this ONE in to show you how it works.” *sigh* I give a reluctant “ok…”You can probably already guess, they took it upon themselves to do the other too…”while I’m at it,” they say.I go to get rung up for it…and wouldn’t you know they charged me for a service I repeatedly said I DID. NOT. WANT. The entire experience was so unnerving, awkward, and uncomfortable.The jewelry selection is great. Top-quality stuff. A little over-priced, but they have some good…expertise. Customer service? Aggressive for the sale. I HAVE to go back to get the special jewelry now, but I’ll never let them service me for anything else. I LOVE my new piercings. Of course, because of the straight barbells and emotional manipulation, I am a little sore; but..at least my jewelry is cute and…somehow more legit…right?****UPDATE AFTER THE OWNERS BS RESPONSE*******Their response to this is insane on behalf of a business. It had been WEEKS between when I orginally made this post ^^^ and when they responded to my review. Since then, they are acting like they remember me or this interaction. I had an emergency with a delicately placed piercing of mine and came in on a Sunday afternoon. They saw me quickly despite not having an appointment. I had purchased cheap jewelry elsewhere and gotten a barbell stuck in my nipple! I was so freaked out and stressed. Lita, the apprentice, helped me and was so kind and sweet during our time together. I was really blown away by their ability to help me in such a stressful situation. They know so much about piercings and have a great attitude. They got me completely sorted out quickly and set up with new jewelry that I loved!!

I loved my visit with this shop!!! Everyone is very professional and kind. My piercer was Kayla Fulton and she is great. She talked to me throughout the whole process, she answered any questions that I had, she made me feel comfortable and the process of getting my piercing was quick and easy. I definitely will be coming back.

I have always been impressed and pleased with my experiences at Sadu. Ive had 3 piercings here and my latest were two second lobe piercings done by Kayla. Kayla was super friendly, very informative, not pushy on any extra products (no one at Sadu is, in my experience), and just really chill to be around!Sadu has the coolest selection of fine jewelry that range from simple shapes to ornate ones like little UFOs and detailed olive branches!I highly recommend anyone go to Sadu (and seeing Kayla) for any piercing because theyre professional, clean, informative, and very friendly! The staff was incredibly helpful in walking me through what type of piercing to get and were patient in explaining what would and wouldn’t work. I appreciate the careful approach to keeping things clean and sterile. Kayla did a great job with the piercing and was very detailed in explaining the after care instructions and timeline for the piercing. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Kayla is an amazing piercing professional, and the staff is incredible!!! Kayla was patient, kind, explanatory, and professional. The front folks were so patient with me. They even worked with my five-year old kiddo who was obsessed with all the options and wanted to see them all. I can honestly say that Sadu has been the best service Ive received so far when it came to any kind of service I have booked with them.I recently went in for a helix piercing and Septum consultation with Kayla, and she was so kind, informative, and patient throughout our entire appointment.A lot of piercing places dont offer the kind of care and professionalism that Sadu does. Every piercer I have met here has always been so informative and created an atmosphere where my safety and happiness as the customer always came before making a sale.

My experience at Sadu piercing was great! Kayla was knowledgeable and professional and answered all my questions. This shop uses industry recommended sterilization and piercing techniques and I felt safe getting my nose pierced here. There was a variety of quality jewelry available and I appreciate that the website outlined their jewelry requirements so I knew what to expect.

My visit started out rocky because they don’t take walk ins and the website to place yourself on the schedule is not clear or easy to navigate. However the staff is very friendly and willing to help you navigate the confusing and frustrating website.Once my appointment was made I knew they would abide by their schedule so I would not be made to wait if at all upon my return. The staff that help me pick out merchandise was very very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. They made the experience so extremely positive and I felt like my time was being valued and I was not just another customer in a long line. The professional that helped me with my jewelry change was very patient, a tentative, and experienced. 10/10 I will recommend. And they have Popsicle!!

I received a piercing and within a week it fell out. I engaged Sadu and after 2 months I have yet to have any solution. I wasn’t expecting a refund on the jewelry (lost almost $300)as it is gone as well. I had not realized that the earring was going to easily fall out. staff seems uninterested in customer service. I guess if all goes well this might be a good place but hope nothing does go wrong as it won’t be addressed

Booked with Cindy earlier this week for a frenum piercing. She was very professional and calming and Im very happy with the result

I have joint custody of my daughter(16) and I had her for the holidays. We had hoped to get our piercings together. We arrived at the appointment on time. But couldn’t get the piercings because our Id’s didn’t have the same address due to the fact the she lives with her father full time (because of school). And I don’t carry her birth certificate around with me. In addition, I had scheduled an add on by accident and I called back several times right after scheduling because I wanted to make sure that it was correct. When we got there couldn’t get serviced. Because of the Id my ex husband is was willing to send me a copy of his Id since one concern of the worker was not having his consent. So we called him on the telephone and asked if he could send the copy of his ID. She said the she needed the hard copy. So the appointment had to be canceled. And they still charged me a cancellation fee of $10. It would have been more if I had not made the mistake of doing the add on. God is good. We were on time for a the appointment. But had to wait to be serviced. And when it came time to get serviced we couldn’t. But I had to pay them $10. After talking with a few friends I found out that it was truly a blessing in disguise. All I am gonna say is… Don’t get your piercings there!UPDATED RESPONSE TO THE LIESI was not rude. And you all hide behind that telephone policy as a way to justify not answering the phone and to get over on people. If I was rude I would have made a scene and the police probably would have been called. My RUDE is extreme. I questioned your policy and explained that I called back several times with questions but couldnt get and answer regarding the booking. And we showed up WITH THE SAME QUESTION that we tried to call about. If I were a white woman and had the same concerns and questioned your policy. I bet I wouldnt have been labeled as rude. And I am certain that we would have gotten sympathy and serviced. Theres an issue when a black woman questions about unfair policies or treatment. Shes labeled as rude or the angry black woman. When it is clear from previous reviews that you all in fact have racial biases and run your business the same way. Call me whatever. But I know how we were treated at this establishment. This is a RACIALLY BIASED ESTABLISHMENT.... READ ON THROUGH THE REVIEWS and check Yelp out. And as far as me returning there was no need to ask me not to come back into your establishment. I wasnt going to do that anyway. I dont SUPPORT racially biased establishments that doesnt have welcoming energy. And the only reason my ex-husband has full custody is because shes graduating next year and will be attending college. We didnt want to uproot her from her friends and plus shes so active and is thriving and excelling in her classes. WE WERE ALBE TO GET OUR MOTHER AND DAUGHTER PIERCINGS within 30mins. And we received excellent customer service and felt welcomed where we got them. When I told them about our experience at your establishment. They were very familiar with the same complaints from customers that left SADU for being racially biased and unwelcomed. SO I WILL GLADLY NOT RETURN TO THIS BUSINESS. You all are the manipulators. I didnt lie. I spoke on my experience.

Easily made an appt online to get a nostril piercing with Kayla (same day). She was super kind and friendly. The entire place was very clean. TONS of jewelry to choose from. My appt was at 12:30, I arrived at 12:25 and wasnt seen until about 1:20. Other than that, everything was awesome!

One of my very few reviews on google- just because they were so good!I went here to get my navel pierced. The staff at the front, Allie and Sadie, were so welcoming and kind! Both were incredibly knowledgable and helped me find the perfect piercing. My piercer, Corrina, also took time to answer some questions I had, and she was very kind as well. I will also add that Sadu has a reasonably priced, beautiful selection of jewelry.I did feel quite faint after my piercing, unfortunately. However, Sadie went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. She sat with me for awhile and did absolutely everything she could to make me feel comfortable and not as embarrassed. She brought me numerous things to help, and she sat with me while I laid down for quite some time. I felt so safe with her! I could write a whole essay on how wonderful she was. These girls were top notch, and I would definitely return for any additional piercings and to buy any new jewelry. I highly recommend. Great service!

This is the only place I’ll go for piercings now! Meg is a huge help in the front, taking her time to make sure we pick the right style of jewelry for the healing process. Kayla who always pierces me is so gentle and helpful with aftercare. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Leda gave me a flat piercing today and Im really happy with how it went. I was lightheaded afterwards and she went out of her way to make sure I was okay. Definitely recommend going here!

I came in to purchase a helix earring and was greeted and told to browse the display. When I was ready, the counter rep was discussing something with another representative/employee and then proceeded to assist a young woman who didn’t even have an appointment without acknowledging me, who was there prior. It’s great the service that your employee offered the young woman but I was completely overlooked and disregarded. Once your employee was finally free to assist me and help me choose an earring that I was going to purchase, she left and THEN assisted a mother and daughter who were already being helped by another employee. I left without purchase because it didn’t seem as though my business was important enough.

AC did a fantastic job on my double nostril piercing. They were professional, funny, friendly and informative. The ladies up front were a charm and really helped me find the best jewelry for me. I will be back to sadu for any future piercings and to get more jewelry (the options were fantastic 😍)

I will never go anywhere else for anything piercing related! I was initially going to get both nostrils and septum done, but instead scheduled one nostril and my septum: I was honestly just worried I wouldn’t love the nostril look, but I loved my experience here so much that when I booked my downsize I also booked my other nostril(all with Cindy)! They also really do have a wide jewelry selection and it’s nothing like any other place I’ve went! This place is legit and worth the drive for me. The customer service people are also amazing at helping you decide what you like as well!

Oh, I absolutely love SADU body piercings. The space is clean. They have a really nice selection of jewelry, and all of the staff is extremely professional. I’ve gotten for Piercing’s here and as someone who has extremely sensitive skin, their jewelry works the best for me, my piercings from other places have all rejected, but all the ones from SADU long lasting. I Highly recommend.

I got my nose pierced by Kayla. She was super friendly and helpful, she proposed good ideas about the placement that would also be good for the healing process. She was not pushy at all about anything and definitely wanted me to be satisfied. The entire process was very pleasant and I would highly recommend her!!!!

I scheduled a consultation for an uncommon piercing and met with Cindy. She was absolutely amazing every step of the way, had previous knowledge on what I was looking to get done as well as did more research between the consultation and appointment. Very professional in every way, this also put me at ease knowing I had somebody that took real pride in their work. She also shared the same enthusiasm as me about the piercing I was getting, which made just a great experience overall. The piercing environment was very clean and she took great care to make sure everything was sterile and stayed that way throughout the appointment. I could not be happier with the service I received and the end product. I would recommend SADU and Cindy especially to anybody looking to get a piercing!

I’ve been getting piercings since I was 16 and went here for my 11th- my septum. The other reputable piercer in town doesn’t do septum’s anymore. I made my appointment and waited a little for it as there is no walk in option. On the day of, I went on my lunch break from work (had to choose a weekday as the weekend availability was bad at the time). I came in and chose jewelry and then… well a bunch of time passed and I’m not sure why. After waiting for 45 minutes they finally took me back to do my anatomy check. Then we had to wait to change the color of the jewelry I picked an hour before and then wait to sanitize it. My lunch break is only an hour so clearly we were pass that. Waited until my piercing healed to post this as I wanted to include my experience. My piercing is doing just fine. Lucy knows what she’s doing. The problem is that time means nothing to them here. A friend of mine lost her nose ring the other day on the way to work. I suggested she buy one from them as the jewelry selection is decent. She came back from her lunch break angry that she spent her whole hour there and didn’t even buy anything because they took so long. Glad to know it’s not just me. If I get another piercing I’ll probably be back since Charlotte is limited on quality piercing shops, but will just make it a point to go on my day off so it’s fine when they don’t respect my time.

10/10 experience! Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and just overall so great. I got my nose and navel pierced and the process was seamless! They explained everything they were doing as they were doing it which calmed my nerves. The jewelry options were endless and so gorgeous. I am so so happy with everything and I will definitely be back!

My goal was to fix the 1980s asymmetry that I had, of 3 holes in my left lobe and 1 in my right.I had new earrings installed in my left ear, and 2 new holes pierced on my right lobe. Kayla did a fantastic job and Im thrilled! This is something Ive wanted to do for many years! Sadu is a great place: theyre very professional and do great work.

I got my septum re-pierced here because another shop had messed up my first one. Cindy did wonderfully- she pierced in the right spot, it was almost painless and it looks amazing. Keep in mind I have a slightly deviated septum so its a bit more of a challenge. However it still looks straight! She definitely knows what she is doing. Yes the prices are high but the quality of jewelry is great and Id rather spend money on high quality stuff! Worth the money in my opinion to know youre getting it done the right way.

They will take their time here. Make sure you’ve got a solid two hours to kill here because the appointment time is just a cut off time for when you need to start sitting down to wait. Waiting 40 minutes after your appointment with no results is nuts. I had to leave. And they’re saying below that I brought in preused jewelry for a NEW piercing and that’s completely incorrect. I brought in one that was preused to be put into a ten year old tragus and one end that was brand new for my new piercing.

Leda and the whole crew were so incredibly kind and helpful. I was a bit indecisive about what type of earrings I wanted and they were patient and showed me lots of options at various price points. I had some initial sticker shock, but they were able to find an option that was almost identical for less than half the price of what I was originally looking at. Their jewelry feels super high quality and Leda was incredibly professional and competent. She walked me through every single step of what she was doing and why. They were running a bit behind but she came out and let me know and offered that I could run out to grab a snack and come back or just hang out. Super happy with the outcome and will definitely be back to buy more jewelry.

Service is horrible. Had an appointment for jewelry exchange and “servicer” reps acted as if they didn’t want to give me pricing or even look at their regular “looking” jewelry. No way was I spending a dime in that place! Oh my goodness! Never have I gone to a piercing facility with such poor service! Wow! Unbelievable! Trust!!! I’ve gone to way better & will continue to do so.

I truly enjoyed my visit. I did have an appointment, but it seems I didnt fill it out the paperwork correctly, so because of that, I had to wait an hour. This seem to be a bad practice. But anyway, I LOVED Lucy, she is amazing. Made me feel welcomed, I felt a little out of sorts because Im older. The dark brown haired female was a little harsh, and her energy was rough to be around. But the other 3 were amazing. I was so grateful to have Lucy as my piercer, she was so kind and very knowledgeable. The location was very clean and looked more like a jewelry store. I will be going back to see Lucy for a few more piercings. Thank you for making an old woman feel comfy.

I got a piercing done by Corinna and it was a wonderful experience from the second I walked through the door! I was not rushed to pick out my jewelry and all the staff was helpful and knowledgeable in helping me pick. Once with Corinna she was very sweet, professional, and explained the process the whole way, my piercing looks and is healing great! I left with no pain or blood around my new piercing and will definitely be making the drive again for my next adventure with body modifications. The only problem I had was setting my appointment and making a payment on the website. Thanks for a wonderful experience and all the kindness during an intense situation and making me comfortable emotionally and physically!

My daughter turned 8 and promptly asked to get her ears pierced. The problem is, she hates needles and her annual visits to her pediatrician routinely involve her crying and hiding behind a parent when it comes time for a shot. I was set against going anywhere that uses a piercing gun though because of the lack of hygiene, increased tissue trauma and chances of infection, and longer healing time, so that ruled out a lot of places such as Claires. We almost went to Rowan, which uses a hand pressured device to pierce kids under 12, but luckily I found Sadu. Sadu is the only place in the Charlotte area that does needle piercings on kids 5yrs+ and a needle piercing is the best/safest way to get pierced. On their website, Lucy is recommended as the piercer for kids so I made an appointment with her for my daughter. Lucy was AMAZING. The piercings were done in a small private room in the back, and Lucy was so gentle and patient. She explained everything that she was doing, and why, to both us and my daughter, and my daughter trusted her. There was no crying, at all. It was shocking. Lucy pierced one ear, and then went and got a treasure chest and a popsicle for my daughter. The piercings were done efficiently and every precaution was taken to prevent an infection. The earrings that my daughter picked, with the help of an extremely kind person at the front, were sanitized prior to the piercings, her ear lobes were wiped down with alcohol and iodine, the needle was single-use, and the forceps (and even the gloves!) were all unwrapped just for this procedure. I was not worried at any point. If you have a kid between 5-9 yrs old who wants their ears pierced, and youre an extremely cautious parent who researches everything, this is the place to go.

I had my appointment with A.C. today and he was amazing! He did a double (same nostril) nose piercing, from beginning to end he took his time and explained the process. Even when marking where to pierce, A.C. told me how he went with the natural curve of my nostril and he whole thing was quick and painless. The women up front were nice and helpful with picking out my jewelry. I’ll for sure be back

I had a great experience today. I went in for two helix piercings and a nostril piercing. From start to finish everyone was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable/professional. The selection of jewelry was great and they were very helpful in finding something that worked for my budget and style. I also appreciate the hell out of Lucy who did my piercing, she was efficient and effective and honestly it was mostly painless (or as painless as a piercing can be). The service and professional skill was worth the hour I drove to see them.

We took our oldest daughter here for another set of ear lobe piercings. She had her original piercings done years ago at Claire’s which was a huge mistake. SADU’s whole team is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They really want to make sure you have a great experience, including ensuring the piercings heal properly.

My piercer was Lucy and she was phenomenal! Truly quick and (almost!) painless for all three of the piercings she did for me. The staff working at the jewelry counter were super cool. They had plenty of options to choose from at my budget for initial jewelry. I never felt like I was being hounded or pressured while I was shopping. It was a comfy experience!I had a concern due to a misread on my part after I left the studio. I reached out to Sadu by email and was responded to quickly and kindly! It’s my favorite thing ever when businesses can educate customers in a considerate manner.There’s too many unfortunate reviews on here from people who probably expect to get to their appointment, pick out jewelry, go to the piercing room, and be in and out in half an hour. I arrived to my appointment on time, filled out paperwork, shopped for jewelry, did an anatomy check, and waited. These people cut no corners making sure your jewelry and the equipment they use to pierce you are clean and safe! This is NOT Claire’s. Please be patient as they are super busy giving everyone who comes in the same amount of prep work and consideration they are trying to give you. Make sure you have plenty of time to let them do their thing when you make your appointment! These folks know what they’re doing, and it’s so worth the wait here.

Had a wonderful experience getting some jewelry swapped out by Glenn! He helped make sure my bars were all the proper length, including on one piece I hadn’t come in for. Apparently the back disc was too small on my helix and was embedding a bit in my ear and I had no idea! He remedied the issue and was so helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to get pierced by him! 10/10 for service, cleanliness, knowledge, and friendly-ness! 🥰

I booked a troubleshoot appointment at Sadu due to having a minor complication with one of my piercings done by another shop.Kayla was very informative and super gentle with my piercing. I will definitely return to Sadu for future piercings. Also, their jewelry selection is quite large.

Incredibly kind, considerate, knowledgeable, & comforting staff! Amazing experience!! I got my first piercings done here, and it’s almost entirely run by women & non-binary people. I was always gendered correctly and respected in my visits. The staff was patient & helpful in picking out my jewelry, and Cindy (my piercer) made me feel right at home. She taught me everything I needed to know about how she was piecing, how to clean my piercings, etc. My ears never even hurt! The front staff is also great about adhering to pandemic guidelines (masks, social distancing sanitization) and even go so far as to not reuse pens. This made me feel cared for & respected. I would recommend SADU for anyone and everyone — they are the BEST!!!

I came in to replace my current jewelry for my medusa piercing and I loved it here. They are a bit more pricey than most piercers but it’s definitely worth it. They have an abundance of options, pretty display, and amazing staff. Everyone was awesome and so helpful.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Sadu! I made an appointment with Cindy to map out my ear, and then made a follow up appointment for the piercings. She listened to my concerns and came up with a beautiful plan. On the day of my appointment, Glenn helped me choose some absolutely gorgeous jewelry (from a HUGE selection). Cindy made me feel super comfortable during the piercings, and they were a breeze. Several weeks later, I had my appointment to downsize my posts with Mara, who was also awesome. Overall, a fantastic experience with all the staff I encountered, and I’m thrilled with the end result!!

I’ve been going to Sadu since 2014 and they NEVER disappoint. Their staff is super knowledgeable when it comes to piercings. They have helped me heal infected piercings (when I was dumb enough to get piercings at illegitimate shops) and they are always thorough with the piercing process and after care. The first time i went to buy nose jewelry and the girl that helped me was nice however she had to lightweight argue with another employee to put the jewelry in for me. Then months later i went back and it was two customers there. Everyone was standing around but couldn’t help. Then going to say it’s appointment only. I was confused because everyone was just standing and talking to each other. I felt it was an unprofessional environment and the customer service sucked. I left there and went somewhere else was treated like a customer was supposed to be treated and brought not one but three pieces of jewelry.

I’ve been to many tattoo & piercing shops and my experience at SADU has been the most pleasant thus far. Cindy was knowledgeable, friendly and very patient! The young ladies working in the front were very friendly as well. I found the pricing normal & fair. I would definitely return and recommend this shop!

Glenn showed me SO many gorgeous pieces and made recommendations based on my skin tone. I can’t rave enough about the welcoming atmosphere. I went in super nervous and left feeling giddy as ever. I have been going to SADU since I moved to Charlotte years ago. I had my septum and nipples pierced there, both of which were done expertly, and which are still doing great.Unfortunately, I sustained a few injuries over the summer (violent ex) and needed a chest X-ray at the emergency room, for which I had to remove my nipple piercings. I also had to move unexpectedly, so by the time I got back to a stable situation, I was unable to re-insert the jewelry myself. I was heartbroken because I thought they closed and Id have to re-pierce them.I messaged SADU and let them know of my situation, and they agreed to squeeze me into their schedule to evaluate. When I explained to Cindy and Sadie what I had been through, they were so incredibly supportive, empathetic, and kind. They truly went above and beyond to help me and make sure that I felt safe and supported. Cindy was able to taper my piercings back open and put my jewelry back in without a problem. I was so happy. They were tender for about 48 hours, but after that felt just fine.I will always be thankful to the staff at SADU for helping me to recover my piercings in the middle of everything I was going through, and for being so supportive of a DV victim. Sadie also wrote me a really nice note when I left that meant so much to me. Not only are SADUs staff knowledgeable and capable, they are also amazing human beings. :)

Everyone in the shop was so incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable! Their studio is so clean and as soon as my friend and I walked in we were greeted & got to have some good conversation. Our piercer, Cindy, was so encouraging and didn’t mind answering the million questions I had for her—she even encouraged it!When I started feeling a bit woozy after my piercing, everyone was so so kind to me and assured me it was normal and nothing to be embarrassed over. (They even gave me a nice blue ice pop that felt amazing and brought me back to my normal color in minutes, including a nice lie down.)Their advice and aftercare instructions are wonderful! I will be happy to return in 3 weeks for a resizing!And, of course, I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know. I couldn’t have had a better experience!

Sadu is the BEST! The people that work there are so friendly and welcoming. I had my septum pierced a week ago and the whole experience was great. I was nervous but they really helped to put me at ease. You can tell that they really care, and they work hard to make a real connection with everyone that comes in. That meant a lot to me-- especially because being in tattoo/piercing shops in Charlotte can be kinda intimidating.I also LOVE my jewelry-- I mentioned that I liked opal and they helped me find the perfect septum ring and matching stud for my nostril piercing.I will only ever go to Sadu for any piercing or jewelry change in the future! Theres a reason SADU wins all the awards each year. Every employee here is professional and provides the highest tier of service. Ive exclusively recommended friends to come here for piercings, jewelry changes, etc because of how knowledgeable and incredible the team is. After a few tries at other, cheaper piercing studios, I learned my lesson the hard way and will never cheat on SADU again. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and the knowledge, accreditation, service, and experience of every person here is worth far more than what they charge. Ive had services done by Cindy and Glen and cant recommend them enough! Even the jewelry sold here is amazing. Definitely be honest & ask questions, and you will have the best possible experience here.

I had reconstructive surgery on my ears a few months ago and Cindy was able to pierce them in a low enough spot that they looked great while also not inhibiting the healing of my lobes. I was planning on this lobe piercing being my second hole, but she pierced them in the perfect spot that I dont even need to get a second hole. Its been 13 years since Ive been able to wear normal earrings, and Cindy was able to make my dreams come true. I also had a triple helix piercing done recently after having a really bad experience at another shop and Lucy did such a good job. She was realistic, compassionate and really took her time to make sure they were perfect. Sadie is always so kind and patient when I come in and am trying to find jewelry. The studio has a great selection of jewelry and whoever is helping you pick it out never makes you feel bad about not being able to afford their higher end jewelry while still offering good quality in everyones budget. TIP YOUR PIERCER!

Great staff, they make me feel comfortable with the process. @aliencatpiercing and cindy did a great job with my new piercing. They took the time to make sure it was the right decision and the rigth placement.

I still don’t understand why they can’t answer the phone due to the pandemic, but the actual piercing services with Lucy are top notch!The shop is meticulous and the jewelry counter is well organized.Sanitation, as well as customer health and safety are at the forefront.Lucy pierced my youngest daughter and also myself.The care was age appropriate, professional, relaxed, and comprehensive. Lucy is skilled to the point that she will make you believe it is effortless (nope don’t do it at home 😂).No infections or issues for myself or my very young daughter with the aftercare.Not cheap, but I very much so believe that price for permanent holes in your body should not be your 1st factor.If you have a similar mindset, this could be a good fit.

I have been here twice now, once to get a double helix and another time to get a conch. Both times the staff up front and my piercer Cindy were amazing. Cindy was extremely professional, informative, but also quick. She answered any questions I had and made everything super easy. The staff up front were super helpful and understanding when I was being mad indecisive about my jewelry choices. I recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back in the future to get more piercings.

Third and forth and fifth visits-Had two visits in one day a few weeks back, and these guys haven’t changed a bit. Every bit as awesome as before! Took my daughter to get a new hoop for her nostril. A couple new faces so nice the last time we were in there-Lalena and Wylie. They were awesome helping her pick the perfect hoop and being super friendly taking time to talk with her. After a brief wait (we walked in without an appointment), A.C.(Glen) was ready for her and changed out her stud for a cute little hoop just in time for homecoming.The second visit was later in the day for an appointment with A.C. and the amazing Cindy. Sadie greeted me and went over my forms and is every bit as awesome as the last time that I saw her. Wylie and Lalena talked jewelry with me and was awesome to talk to…like I’ve known them for years. I saw the amazing Leda was there was told me not to worry it wouldn’t be too bad 😂 as my nerves were shot. Then it was time for visits with AC and Cindy. I had never met AC before, but he was awesome…we talked and had a great time. We swapped rooms and it was Cindy’s turn, AC asked if he could observe, which was no big deal…come on in, we’re friends now. Cindy was awesome as usual and did an awesome blind transfer…anyways, she’s awesome…they’re all awesome.Few weeks pass and have to have my follow up. Lalena and Alli were taking care of everyone up front. I hadn’t seen Alli in a while, and it was awesome talking to her again. Leda was getting ready for Halloween and had some Pokémon cards for clients. Awesome human being that Leda is. Cindy got my jewelry changing out and was excellent at reminding me to breathe.Oh I love this place and the people under the roof…I’ll be back, there’s a few more things I need to get done…and I’ll be a customer for life.Edited for second visit-This is the place to go for your piercing needs. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Aleta whom I haven’t seen since my prior consult appointment. Riley went over my paperwork and forms with me and got me checked in. I got to observe these fine young ladies give outstanding customer service to everyone who walked in answer questions and going out of their way to make sure everyone was having an outstanding experience. Working in retail myself, I can assure you this type of service is hard to find these days…you can tell they really loved what they were doing and where they worked at.This was my second time seeing Cindy for piercings. She is the definition of a professional. From answering any questions you have to calming any anxiety, she has you. ”Take a deep breath and exhale,” she says. And that’s it, you’re pierced. Painlessly and quickly.I can’t say enough great things about Sadu..I‘ll be back.But don’t call them for the cheapest prices, you can go elsewhere if you want the cheapest prices. Call them if you want the best service and care. If you don’t have a great experience there, then you’ll likely not find it anywhere.First experience-The whole staff was super friendly and nice. I felt very comfortable the very first time there, as if I had known them for years. My piercer Cindy was amazing, the best piercer that I have encountered in the last 25 years of being pierced. Had my daughters ears pierced here.People were fine, but no need to show up on time for your appointment. You’re gonna wait at least 20 minutes to see someone even though you had to pay upfront, and make the appointment online, weeks in advance.

Fantastic customer service and experience overall! Most professional and hygienic piercing establishment Ive ever been in. Im a novice with piercings but after letting my nose close up years ago I wanted to try it again. This experience was amazing. Highly recommend if you care about the quality and experience more than the $.

Always love my time at Sadu. They are friendly and so very helpful! Both my husband and I have gotten piercings done and they do an amazing job. Definitely recommend for your piercing and jewelry needs!

The absolute best. I wont get piercings anywhere else. They are super clean and hygienic, knowledgeable, safe, and take care of their customers before, during and after piercing. They have a fantastic jewelry selection. Cindy did a great job on all of my piercings and my daughters too. I cant wait to go back for more!
