I recently got a tattoo here and I had an amazing experience! Ari was incredibly professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The studio was clean and had a great atmosphere. The design turned out even better than I imagined, and Ari’s line work and her attention to detail was on point. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality work!

Came to Charlotte for a girls trip weekend; and wanted to get tattoos. Called BNI and Gary was so welcoming and professional that we had to go check him out. It was my first tattoo and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted but Gary made the process so easy and I thought it was going to hurt. Gary talked me through the whole thing! The atmosphere was a vibe good music! Overall just a great experience! Thank you Gary! Definitely will be coming back!

Stefan was extremely efficient and quick the with process. I will definitely be coming back. He was able to educate me on services prior since I was getting repierced and I definitely appreciate the information. He is great and gets the job done!

This place is awesome! I took my girls to get their ears pierced here today and these guys did not disappoint. We had a moment of panic in between piercings and they turned on the Frozen soundtrack and Bear sang along 😊 the encouragement from everyone in the shop was more than a momma could ask for. I was tattooed by Gary and had a great time. He is extremely kind, easy to talk to, and very talented. My tattoo came out perfect, I am so happy about it!!His price is extremely fair, $100/hour. He was very fast, but clearly thorough. We finished in under and hour, even with some added white highlights that we decided to do at the end.On top of all of this, the shop vibe was immaculate. All of the artists were respectful and invested in the pieces they were doing, the shop was clean and the music was fun. I definitely will be back!

Gary did my tattoo and I loved it! This was my first tattoo ever, but he made me feel comfortable and let me help in ensuring the design was exactly to my liking. The place was nice and clean, very comfortable. Definitely recommend :)

Have been in Charlotte for a month and wanted to get a very important piece done that means allot to me. I did my research and that is how I found BNI Tattoos. I am so grateful and happy I found this place. Gary turned this memorial piece that Ive wanted for many years into something better than I could have ever imagined. Not only is this piece something Ill always be proud to have on my body but its something Im proud of. Shop is very clean and you get verification that everything is sanitary and new for your session. Gary is super nice and easy to talk to. Very relatable and funny, makes for good conversations while getting a tattoo. He truly cares about his work and the customer who he is tatting. I called literally this morning wanting to get a tattoo and Gary was available to do it. He did phenomenal. I showed him what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations. Next time in NC and want a tattoo I will go back!!

Today I decided to get a coverup, so I started googling black owned tattoo shop and came across BNI-tattoos. I’m glad I found them from the time I walked in they were welcoming and professional. I explained what I wanted and I was paired up with Nea, she and did an amazing job with covering up my Tattoo. The detail is so clean and realistic. I will be going back to add more to it. We had the BEST experience at BNI today. Gary and Lawrence are very professional but so much fun to be around and made our experience enjoyable from start to finish. This was my first ever tattoo at 18 years old. was a little nervous , didn’t know much of what to expect. Simon was phenomenal!!!!! Awesome dude!! My friends and I came to visit some friends all the way from New York. We had the bright idea to get some small tattoos out of the blue. After calling a few closer places we found no one was able to do it. We called this shop and we’re told to come down pretty quickly. Gary greeted us and he was a dope dude. Very personable and explained safety and all that. I was personally tattooed by Matt who was very patient even though my skin wasn’t the easiest to hold the ink. It was an awesome, quick, and convenient experience. If you ever in the area or live by there I’d highly recommend heading here.

These guys are SOLID artists, every single one of them. Had the best Friday 13th experience my wife and I have had in a long time. They were also willing so to smaller custom pieces for the same price as their flash! Very clean and super chill environment and everyone was extremely kind. And big shout out to the artist who did mine and my wife’s tattoos his name is Matt and he really killed it!

I absolutely love this shop. Great family like environment. I travel from another state, for Gary toDo my tattoos. He has done quite a few of them. Always a positive experience. The shop is always clean. His entire staff makes you feel welcomed, and you get to share a few laughs and smiles with each other, all while getting a tattoo. I am 60 years young. I decided to get my nose re-pierced and get snake eyes in my tongue. Something to cross off my bucket list. I got there and Nuke did my piercings and was very professional and took her time. I am very pleased with the service I received. I don’t know what happened but my snake eyes came out and I was only minutes away . I went there and she was very courteous (I interrupted her lunch. I felt so bad) she told me not to worry about interrupting her lunch. She had it back in my tongue in no time. She said these things happen. I will go back for another piercing soon.

Came to Charlotte for a weekend getaway. Found this small shop from google and went. I was immediately greeted and everyone was so nice. I didn’t know what I wanted to cover my tattoo up with, me Lawrence and my wife was looking for about 2 hours til we found something. He said he was gone throw his own spin on it to make it original, his own. After he drew it out I was satisfied and we began around 12:55 am, got done a little before 2pm. I fell asleep at least 4 times, mostly because he made me feel so comfortable and he was gentle with the tattooing. You wouldn’t have thought I was getting a tattoo for 13 hours. When I say it was WELL worth it.(Can’t forget about Matthew sticking it out with us all night, goofy and kept trying to feed us cause we was there for so long). I LOVE my tattoo and I will be going back for all the rest of my tattoos without a doubt. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it and between me and my wife we have referred over a good ten people. Everybody that I told I also told them they can’t be taking over my tattoo man lol but if I could give more than 5 stars I would. They are so friendly and I was talking to them like they were my brothers lol everyone in there even down to the artists that came in that morning was nice and welcoming. I will be back for the rest of my tattoos.! (Gary told me to tell everybody he did it, just like a big brother 😂) Never a dull moment and it was my first time.

Oh my gosh.....the experience here was out of this world!!!! Nefertiti did my tat and she completely knocked it out the park. I was doing a memorial tattoo for my little brother who passed away so it was an extremely big deal and very important that the tattoo artist do a phenomenal job.... well she did that and more !!!!!! I’m going back next week for more tattoos but the atmosphere and great prices were like no other tattoo spot I’ve ever been to! Very dope place!!!!!

Matthew Forest was my tattoo artist. He made my friends and I feel at home and comfortable. He walked us through the whole process and was amazing. He was very hospitable and kind and his tattoos are works of Art. He was also very fun to chat with. We will definitely be back again.

I came in on saturday afternoon looking to get a tattoo cover up and i was immediately greeted by the staff and gary helped me choose the size and shaping of the tattoo that would best suit me and take care of my previous tattoo. While i was getting that done i was speaking to another artist there about piercings and ended up getting my belly piercing done after the tattoo and the artist ari made me feel so comfortable during my time i will be coming to her with any future piercing ideas!

I went and got matching tattoos with my friend. Nia did an AMAZING JOB!! My tattoo looks flawless. I highly recommend her to do your tattoos. The atmosphere was great. I’m definitely going back to get more tattoos.

Gary is awesome at what he does, the atmosphere was very nice, te tee the receptionist was awesome as well she made me feel welcome and the tattoo that’s dedicated to my best friend created my Gary came out perfectly, I will be back for more tattoos in the future!!

I traveled a long way to receive my first tattoo. Only because I’ve read all the marvelous reviews after being referred by a friend. Now I feel just stupid because my vision didn’t match the artist vision and I’m not satisfied with the finished product. I’m more upset it was my first tat, now I need a cover up. Needless to say I’ll never go back!

I absolutely loved my experience with BNI, my artist was Matthew he did exactly what I wanted my piece to be and it almost brought me to tears because this meant the world to me, I definitely will be recommending this shop to friends and family and hopefully I’ll have more done by Matthew.

Came and got my first tattoo and he did an amazing job I was about to cry with how beautiful it looks and I smile every time I look at it still. Came back for my second tattoo today and Gary killed it again quite sleeping on this place people the artist pay attention to detail they not going to let you walk out with messed up tattoo.

I just got my tattoo done by Chucky and he was super nice to me. I was a little nervous at first but he made me realize i was just overthinking it and it really wasn’t bad at all. It was really clean and nice and everybody is really friendly. If i ever get another tattoo i’m definitely getting it done here.

Me and my wife came here to get her a coverup on some thick letters because nobody could do it. Lawrence spent 13 hours on her coverup and it was worth it. He blanked fr. And matte black did me a butterfly tat on my neck. Everybody was friendly and professional. We def not going anywhere else for our tattoos. I love this shop no cap.

They were a life saver for me!!! When everyone else said NO or Come in tomorrow.... they said come in today and we’ll take good care of you! And they did!!! I’m extremely allergic to nickel, so that also includes surgical steel. I had a titanium MM lip piercing and I lost the top which was a inner screw jewel. My husband drove me all over town at 6:45 pm on a Wednesday evening scared it would close or I would swallow it in my sleep. BNI PIERCING showed up out of no where. They had the resolution and made it work. Thanks everyone, I will be back!!!!!

I let him put a microphone and some music notes on my arm he did really good everyone likes it but he should of put his own touch to it. As a tattoo artist you should put some of your creativity into it that makes people come back. He charged me 80 honestly I think he should of charged less for what he did. I need a artist to put his all into it. Don’t know if I’m going back

DO NOT GO TO BNI Tattoos. First off, Matt told me my tattoo would take 1 1/2 hours and I ended up sitting there for 4 hours. The tattoo looked nothing like how I wanted. He told me he wouldnt be able to make it exact because he adds his own twist but it didnt look even relatively close to what I wanted. I got my tattoo from Matt and ended up getting a staph infection. At first, the owner said he was positive it was an allergic reaction when I sent him the pictures. When I told him it was a staph infection, he told me it was definitely my fault and was poor aftercare. He was trying to tell me someone or my self was touching my tattoo and thats why it got infected. I have 6 other tattoos and know how to keep a tattoo clean and healthy. I tried contacting Matt to try to get my tip back, but he wouldnt respond. I am now stuck with a horrendous looking tattoo I paid $200 for, a $250 urgent care bill for antibiotics, plus whatever itll cost to get it covered up. Overall, horrible experience and wouldnt recommend.
