The environment is very friendly and welcoming and the staff takes good care of you!! I will never go anywhere else for a tattoo, best experience I have had. Derek was an awesome piercer to work with. He took extra care to make my double nostril piercings symmetrical. He made me feel comfortable and was really fun to talk to. The piercings were quick and didnt hurt that bad at all. Ill be coming back for any piercings I want in the future.

Derek was sooo great to work with! Called for an impromptu walk in while I had an unexpected layover at the airport. He was able to take me within the hour and dedicated his time to draw out my vision and made it look even better than I could’ve imagined!! I went to get my tragus pierced and Derek was a whole vibe!! He pierced my tragus so fast. I didn’t feel anything! He’s very kind & I’ll be coming back to see him soon!

My Husband has got supplies from this guy for over 20 something years, and today we went and found out, he no longer is selling individual products but, by the box and for us that is not helpful. We only do business as a hobby and so yea needless to say we were very disappointed to say the least.

No Stars , the lady was very sweet & patient knowing my sister was really scared to get her piercing . But over all the Guy was really RUDE constantly making rude remarks literally the Whole time and he was just Ina rush to get it done . like people are allowed to be scared it’s normal . I do not reccomend-1/10. also the shop was very Messy had boxes everywhere. Not a lot of walking space tbh

0 stars I felt rushed with my piercings to the point I didn’t even get it. He kept talking to me n my sister very rude. Also told me I am forced to get a bigger bar for my piercing because I am black. His assistant was even upset by the way he was acting. Hes very rude 0/10 do not recommend

Let me tell y’all. 6 hours for this piece, 400$ for this piece. i absolutely love it. it was worth the drive and the money. this isn’t my first tattoo but it’s the first tattoo i’ve ever been happy with. i will never go anywhere else, i’m coming back for sure.💅🏼

My septum piercing hurt so bad afterwards and the guy that did it didn’t even make sure I was ready or anything. I felt very rushed and my friend felt rushed as well. He said to the lady doing her nose “just leave it. She isn’t getting it, we have more important stuff to do” when my friend was trying to calm down to be able to get the piercing. Then the guy that did my piercing didn’t ask if I was okay, didn’t ask where I wanted it. He just shoved needles in places and didn’t even ask where I wanted it and didn’t even warn me when he did it. I wish I could do 0 stars, because I would NEVER recommend this place for piercings for anybody

This place is awesome. I have many ear piercings and have been to many places over the years. Derek actually cares about placement of your piercing and quality of the jewelry. Also he is great to get along with. Will be coming again and recommending to my friends. I have yet to find a decent piercing place in Charlotte and now I found it. 10/10

Derek was absolutely great! Personal energy was great from the get go. Him and Maya were graciously accommodating when I wasnt feeling too well midway through my tattoo on Monday. I felt valued. Derek also gave me key tattoo advice on body placement going forward with my future tattoos. The work he did on my chest is legendary. I tapped but when I came back to get it finished he added some extra creative detail that took my tattoo to the next level. I highly recommend!!!

I got my tattoo done here by derek, who was so nice. he made a couple changes to the tattoo design (he did run them by me first and made sure i liked them) and it looked incredible! he was very kind and welcoming, had extensive knowledge and experience, and was overall an incredible person. the shop is decorated so well, it is clean, organized and sanitary i will be coming here next time i have a tattoo that i want done. his personality, work and shop were all so amazing, i would highly recommend this shop.

I came in from a previous shop where I got my second lobe piercing done, and I was looking to find a second opinion since my ear was very irritated, and I found this shop. Taylor made sure to proceed and fix what was wrong. I cant thank Taylor enough; she made me feel safe and talked to me through everything. I never leave reviews anywhere, but Im honestly amazed at the professionalism and friendliness Taylor and her dad have. I will most definitely be coming again. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for somewhere to go for a piercing or tattoos to come here, Taylor and Derek are marvelous :)

Went in today to get second lope piercing with my daughter. Im so glad I made it on time. Owner is awesome, I personally love the look of the place. Very professional and friendly. Taylor pierced us and she was so awesome my daughter and I loved talking to her. Very clean and thorough. Definitely will be coming back for maybe a 3rd piercing lol . I didnt get a tattoo, but went with some peeps to get their first tattoos. Derek is awesome, super clean, and a very experienced artist!

Derek is 3/3 on me. He doesnt miss. His approach is very mindful and present, he takes into account your body for what it is and doesnt tattoo you like its just a body. He will use a combination of colors, shading and weight (thickness/darkness of a line) to make sure your desired tattoo is visible at the right angles & distance and durable on your skin to the best of his ability. His line work is tight! Its been 5 or 6 years and Im still asked if my tattoo is new. Thats why I had to come on here and let yall know Derek Crockett is the truth. He is also as human as they. So dont anticipate that hell turn off his humanity and tattoo you like a tattoo robot but also trust that he wont ask you to be anything other than your full human self either. So be weird and/or set your boundaries, knowing that he is understanding and will be glad to know what makes you comfortable. Communicate at any point throughout the process and he will certainly do the same. Hell take great care of you and inform you of anything youre not sure about. Please dont assume anything until you ask, cause he will respond in ways that might renew your faith in people.

I got my ears pierced by the owners daughter, she was amazing. She checked my old spots to see if she could just re pierce the old spots, and got a second opinion from the owner before preceding.I was so comfortable in the shop that I decided to return a week later, to get my memorial tattoo done. (I miscarried twice before learning about my infertility) the owner of the shop was thorough, he made sure to size the tattoo for my arm, he also made me feel relaxed and comfortable as he brought my memorial tattoo to life,He truly makes at because I nearly cried when I saw it all done

Love this place. Went today got 2 piercings and they were very professional funny and patience. The receptionist was very friendly, I felt like I knew her forever. And Derek was very nice funny as hell. Definitely going again. This is my new spot. Love those guys already. Til next week.

Was looking at finding the nearest piercer and this happened to come up and after looking at reviews, I decided to call and check if they were open and available. The girl on the phone was lovely to talk to, straight forward and answered my questions without making me feel like Im a pain in the butt 😊 Once I got there, I was able to check on with Maya and they had me fill out paperwork and provide valid identification along with some COVID-19 paperwork. She was nice and got me prepped so I would be ready for Derek and getting my piercing done. I had already had my right ear tragus pierced years ago and wanted to match it on the left side. Derek listened to my overall concerns and answered all my questions and was knowledgeable, skilled and efficient which is what you want in a piercer. The whole experience was great and I highly recommend him and this shop!

Words cannot describe how amazing my tattoo is. The movement of the piece was perfectly complimented with the colors we chose together! It was very easy to schedule an appointment and Derek even opened an hour early for my mother and me. He was easy to talk to and was very kind when I was getting my tattoo. (Side note: It was my first tattoo and was the best first experience a person could have). I definitely recommend him.

Derek is an amazing artist!! He did a scar cover up piece for me (last minute as a walk in) and gave me a great price. He was consistently making sure I was alright and he was very reassuring when he realized it was going to be a scar cover up. He kept me and my sister laughing throughout my appointment. I don’t think I’ll ever get a tattoo from any other shop but his.

Awesome experience every time my husband and I went. He did a cover up tattoo for my husband. Awesome job. He customized it as well. My husband had been very unhappy with the tattoo he had for over 25 years. Now he is so happy and excited that he can wear sleeveless shirts. Thank you Derek! I see some of the reviews on this shop that are poor reviews, however.. This shop is AMAZING. My neck tattoo, arm tattoos I have from him are great. The only ones that arent are the ones I did not have done by Derick himself. They are from different shops and because of that I no longer will go to anyone else. He fixed my snakebites and my ear piercings done by another shop. I seen reviews saying hes not on time.. Granted, maybe you dont always get into the shop when desired but he has a tight schedule and tries to please everyone. This man does not rush his work and that should be appreciated if anything. Some appointments may take longer. As the artist youd have to take into account placement, the healing process of where its going and etc.. He does this. He will not do a tattoo if he knows its not going to hold up. As far as personality goes, he has a strong one! The owner isnt rude by any means. He is great and I highly reccomend this place!

I absolutely love Derrick’s work!! He’s a great artist and very reasonable pricing! I went to another shop wanting a coverup on my hand and the guy quoted me $150 and said it would take an hour and a half. I called Derrick the next day, he told me to come right then and only charged me $55 and it took him about 25-30. I would recommend anyone to go check him out.

Great little shop with a friendly little shop owner! Hes tatted but as sweet as pie. I stumbled upon his shop while leaving the Panda Express across the street and came in while he was working on a tattoo piece and asked if he was available for nose piercing that night. Though he couldnt get to me that night he promised to get me in the following morning. I came back and he got me in and out in 10 min flat!❤

Heard great things about this guy until I booked an appointment in which he had to reschedule the time, not a problem, however upon arriving he seemed very easily irritated by questions and was very unprofessional attitude wise. Would’ve loved the experience but the way I was treated probably won’t reschedule with this artist. I would recommend to treat everyone as you would like to be treated.

Let me start by saying I am very pleased with the ink laid down at crown. I started my day by looking for a shop that was open on Jan 1. I went to all the well known shops in Charlotte of which 2 of them I had the pleasure of getting ink laid at a high price tag. When I entered crown the first impression was this is a hole in the wall shop not some were I want to get a tattoo but he was Laying a chest piece on a guy . I really didnt like what the guy was getting but to each their own. I was interested in the artists line work. He was clean and fluid. I then showed him what I wanted and without hesitation he said he can do it with a bit of excitement then told me the price and I was sold. Still skeptical I came back and was very happy with the result. Thank you 👑 I still have enough in budget for next tattoo.

Ive been trying to get back up there for a tattoo but theyre always closed EARLY when I get off (7/8pm) !! But when I got my last few piercings, the vibe was greatWish they had am ATM machine.. This place has a really cool vibe. They speak Spanish and English, and did a great job with my double helix piercing. The price was perfect! Another place would have charged me double. They only take cash or cashapp!

I made an appointment for a cover up of an old tattoo and not only did he deliver what I requested he outshined beyond my expectations! I am so in love with my tattoo! He was patient with me and kept conversation to keep me distracted from the pain which I truly appreciated. I am going back for every tattoo I get and I already have 2 lined up that I want. He has a customer for life with me!

The pricing are cheap as hellthats the good part but I wouldn’t go back to get more because I had mine for 2 months and it never did recover mine and my wife ears where hurting bad for almost 2 months ever sincere took them out they stopped hurting and recovered real quick but the guy real cool though

I visited Derrick today in search of just a new nose ring....turns out the issue was not my nose ring itself but the way the previous shop in Gastonia pierced my nose and the type of nose ring they used :( Though I was not prepared and on my lunch break, Derrick was able to look and locate the issue, and correct my piercing as well as provide quality jewelry. I trust him sooo much I am going to see how much it will be for a tattoo correction!!
