I have gotten several tattoos here, all done by Catherine, and I’m in love with all of them. I am not at all artistic, so I went in with just a concept and the stories I wanted my tattoos to tell. Catherine sat with me, listened to what they meant to me, and asked questions and together (all of the creativity was hers;) we came up with the most beautiful and meaningful images.The studio is clean, beautiful and comfortable. Everyone there was very friendly and encouraging, including other clients!! And I love that it is women owned and run!! If you are thinking of getting a new tattoo, you should absolutely reach out to Haylo Healing Arts Lounge. You can’t go wrong with any of the artists there!!

This is one of the coolest Tattoo shops Ive ever been to! Hayley and all of the artists there are top notch, they all do beautiful work. Hayley is top notch....in her work, her professionalism and her energy. She took an idea that I had and made it a beautiful artistic interpretation....and one that playfully and perfectly flows. I am in the middle of getting more work added and am eager for each session. The studio itself is beautiful, fun and comfortable. She also has a gentle touch and I have never had tattoos heal so well.

The incredibly talented, inspired, and empathetic artists at Haylo Healing Arts Lounge are exactly what you didnt know you were looking for.The long review: When I was 20 years old, I was eager to get my first big tattoo, and after weeks of searching I found Hayley. She was easily one of the most talented artists I could find in the state, once I booked my appointment I was counting down the days! lol Armed with my story and idea, Hayley sat down with me and really listened to the why of what I was looking to get. She told me she was going to create something that really suited the natural flow and form of my body while executing on the idea. A little time later, she emerged with a delicately drawn lily that, almost fifteen years later, is still vibrant as ever. I remember the entire experience as this genuine and intentional execution of creative and heartfelt work, with clear communication and thus trust throughout the process. She made me feel valued, heard, and safe. Back then, there werent as many female tattoo artists in the area, and I just remember thinking how different—in a POSITIVE way—my time with Hayley was than everything my friends and family tried to prepare me for. This left a lasting impression on me, given my young age, and set the bar very high for what I expected from artists in the industry moving forward. Let me tell you, they are not all as talented and kind-hearted.Stepping into the magical space Hayley has curated and built all these years later, its clear shes put her heart and soul into this place and the people here. There are few places outside of my home that Ive so immediately felt relaxed and welcome. The space itself is a delightful, beautiful, vibrant expression of the immense creativity and healing energy abound, with both flash and original artworks everywhere.I had consult with Hayley a few weeks back, and I cannot WAIT to see her concept for fleshing out the area around my lily. Ive been saving this particular piece for a really long time, and am grateful to have an artist whose work Ive admired for SO long create it for me.I most recently had my first consultation and appt with Sam. Outside of the fact shes a lovely conversationalist and radiant human being, she has absolutely delivered on designing the most perfect piece for me in honor of my children. I LOVE how she executed a beautifully whimsical composition, and our first session was an absolute breeze.While I havent had a personal experience with Catherine in the form of an appointment, I did have the pleasure of meeting her, hearing one of her patrons brag on her beautiful work, and enjoy her conversation during my appointment with Sam. Her work is gorgeous!!!Truly, you cant go wrong with anyone at Haylo. I genuinely dont know where else you will find a group of artists so invested in the journey required for lifelong lasting body art. Especially as a woman, for an industry that can feel incredibly intimidating to step into...Haylo Healting Arts Lounge is the opposite of that.

The best tattoo experience in Charlotte. Haylo truly understands intentionality when creating body art. Catherine is a very experienced artist/professional that understands that this is much more than just a tattoo. The vibes and environment they create support every step of your journey.

I LOVE HAYLO!!! I first discovered them a few years ago when I got a water color fairy tattoo on my leg. Featured here is shakti-kundalini serpent in honor of Venus this Friday 13th of October. Catherine did such an amazing job on both pieces of art work. The studio owner, Hayley has a bright soul and smile and has created such a welcoming space. All of the artists at this location are phenomenal and I intend to continue to visit and can’t wait to get more work done! Amazing group of women are here.

Dani did this tattoo for me over the summer as part of Haylos annual Tattoo Time Capsule offering. I filled out a 2-page questionnaire about myself, my hopes, dreams, etc. and Dani created this piece especially for me. I fell in love the first time I saw her drawing - it needed no changes, not one line. She had captured me and my soul perfectly! Because the fact that each of these women are talented artists is just the beginning. They are amazing at channeling who you are into your tattoos, and THAT is something Ive never experienced from another tattoo artist. Want to get tattooed by a goddess? I just got a piece completed and I couldnt be happier. Its difficult to find an artist and a place (it has an absolute amazing vibe and is spotless) that just makes you feel comfortable. This place is amazing. Very warm and welcoming. Very talented ladies. Not only tattoos but you get to view and purchase art, clothing, jewelry and other things from vendors in the shop. The atmosphere is very calming for getting a tattoo. Highly recommend. Hayley has a long waiting list but its because shes that good. Believe me, its worth the wait.

I had a great experience at Haylo. Catherine did two pieces on me and I am very satisfied with them both. She is professional, an incredible artist, and fun to be around. She has a wide range of art she does and everything I have seen is beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Such a great experience. Very fun 6 hour session. Hayley is an amazing artist that listens. I can’t wait to go back for my next session. I saw Corey at work too & she also does some really great work. The whole day was relaxing. The music was great. Everyone is friendly. Highly recommended.

My tattoo artist was Anna Thomas and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She helped me turn a very plain and simple design idea into something creative and fun, and made me feel safe and comfortable during my experience which meant a lot to me especially when I was getting some very painful spots done. I get compliments everywhere I go and will be back for more tattoos in the future :)

My friend and I went to the flash event on New Years Eve and had a fantastic experience. It was a relaxing, wonderful environment. I brought in a picture of a rose I wanted tattooed on my forearm and Hayley made some modifications and turned it into art. I get compliments all the time! But more than that, I have a beautiful little piece of artwork on my body that I get to keep forever. Thank you so much!I would also like to mention that the instructions they give on healing worked wonders! Using natural methods (instead of the creams or ointments recommended by most tattoo artists) healed my tattoo better and faster than any other tattoo I have ever gotten! Cant wait to get another one!

Haylo feels like everyone inside is an extended family member you havent seen in years and suddenly youre catching up on whats been going on in your lives since the last time you saw each other. The artists and the atmosphere will make you feel warm, comfortable and confident in your next tattoo experience. The artists here are extremely talented and 100% dedicated to you and your vision. They work to collaborate with you and will end up turning the ideas in your head into something masterful. If you havent stopped by yet, you probably should.

I would love to get in with the Owner herself but shes so damn good you get put on a six month wait list. I would love for her to do a tattoo for my deceased brother. Dani Blalock is incredible. If you want an amazing tattoo, she is the person to ask for. The store is great and filled with an eclectic mix of beautiful things. It is difficult to spot the studio from the road, but its definitely worth a visit.

Amazingly talented artists who take a uniquely personal approach to tattooing. The space is welcoming and boasts several amenities, relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of comfy chairs for your experience. Even if you dont need a tattoo, there is shopping, reading, and local art on display in addition to the many healing, holistic and social events hosted here.

The amazing women who work here help provide a sense of calm and protection when you are at Haylo. Each individual is immensely talented, amazing, unique, and fun. I would never go elsewhere for a tattoo.

Dont worry about being on time because the tattoo artists are never on time. The first visit was ok. The artist and I had designed my tattoo. It actually took about 45 minutes. I return 4 weeks later to start my tattoo. Her first question is, so what are we getting today? I was more than mad. Really they dont file they drawings. So,we had to start over. Tattoo turned out good. The second visit to complete the tattoo, not so good. Dont PRACTICE your free handed art work on paying customers. It was so ugly and confusing looking, I refused to show anyone. They have a guarantee policy BUT its not free. You will pay to have to tattoo corrected. The owner Haley fixed my tattoo and she did an amazing job.

Nothing is better than Haylo. From the ambiance to the energy, there is nowhere better for my spirit. The extremely talented artists truly care and are passionate and connected to their creations and their clients. The women of Haylo are committed to the culture of art. If you dont get your tattoo done here, you didnt get the best art for your body. Period. Go see Catherine, Dani, Linzi and Haley as soon as you can, and create some amazing, original body art for yourself. Trust me on this.

Walking down the stairs to the entrance of Haylo, you are not sure what to expect. When you open the door, you enter a place that is a bit indescribable. In the sense that if you havent been in a basement so open, and warm, and eclectic, and earthy, and rich with energy, you cant compare it to anything else really. The wooden floor and walled mirror, ready for yoga or other healing movement to your right, chairs and the tattoo set up in front ready for some action, a lounging area to just chill (which really is what invites you in)in the middle and the necklaces, cuffs, wallets, and retro/assorted clothing to peruse throughout the area makes it a very attractive...something...Lounge I guess. And Hayley seems to have a smile for you when ever you walk in. Not to mention her work is incredible. The other staff that I met were so helpful and friendly. The bottom line. You just need to go, you wont be sorry.

The women in there listen to what you want and work with you so well. I have had some experiences with tattoo artists doing what they want (I realize sometimes they do need to tell you what would look best in ink) because they say itll look better or its what they prefer and felt intimidated in to having some aspects of the tattoo done their way even though I didnt want it. Never felt that here. Very good vibe and peaceful in there. Catharine is currently fixing a bad tattoo for me and I couldnt be happier!
