When I first went to pretty N ink I fell in love with Dutchess. She’s very outgoing makes you feel at home and treats you like family! Dutchess is an amazing tattoo artist she always come up with you never have to think hard with her if you undecided on what kind of tattoo you want. I was so amazed at how she get you in and out she’s strictly about business. Now let’s talk about quality of your tattoo when I tell you her quality is awesome your tattoo doesn’t peel doesn’t look dry the cream she use is freaking amazing and she free hand all of her work and I promise you want be disappointed. Glad some ppl had the privilege to get ahold of anyone i got $7,000 im looking to spend on several cover ups and a sleeve of things throughout my life i wanted the best to do, i just cant get No one to ever call me back or respond to ANY of my messages and I thought it was just my phone Ive literally called from 5 different cell phones 11 times between the 5 & I got one response and I sent the pics and I got stupid $ to spend Im bringing no less than $2,000 at $500 an hour for ductchess imma need at least 4 hours , photo below is what I want and with the experience she has ik she could do Im so depressed I cant get a tattoo here I live in gastonia nc and its a 4 1/2 hour drive so its not like I can trust the website bc it says open , ik u need consultations and Im sure she doesnt hang out in her shop ik that much , man I was so excited too !!!!

Absolutely my favorite tattoo experience so far. I got a neck tattoo & felt sooo iffy about it but something about dutchess energy was so warm!! I was instantly comfortable. My tattoo is absolutely beautiful & I couldn’t have been happier to have her do it. My lines are so clean and detailed. Recommended her to like 10 people since then and I got mine done 2 days ago! Go to this shop! They will not disappoint 😊

I would give 10 stars if I could! SO CLEAN, SO FRIENDLY, SO awesome! I decided I finally wanted to get a tattoo after having my friend draw it up for me years ago. After speaking with Pretty n Ink on the phone, I was ready. They are so welcoming, friendly and clean. As this was my first tattoo, my artist Jason Kartoon was amazing. He put me at ease, talked to me, took his time and focused on what he was doing. My lines came out clean, straight and its all I was hoping for. I will definitely be coming back for the next tattoo. The owner came and brought me a pillow to squeeze and rubbed my back to comfort me- I felt so cared for, appreciated and like I was important! Cant express how clean this place was, I witnessed many glove swaps, sanitizing, and prepping before my turn. Also- they use wireless guns! I cant say enough good things about this place- definitely check them out. We came on Saturday, walked in and I was in the chair within an hour. Jason is the best- cant wait to get more from him if I can ever decide what to get next.

I went here while in Charlotte for work and got a double nostril piercing from Josie. Now, if you’ve never been here it’s not easy to find. I really didn’t see a sign for the shop and the GPS sends you to the comedy zone. I called the shop and a young man gave me directions to the parking lot and even came out to get me to make sure I was in the correct place and to direct me to the shop once I was inside. He was so sweet and set the tone for a pleasant, relaxing experience. Once inside I did all the standard paperwork and Josie took me back. The vibe in the shop is super chill, very positive and fun energy. I had some concerns about scarring on my nose from a previous set of piercings which hadn’t been placed correctly (done elsewhere) that I had taken out. Josie took the time to mark and examine my nose and discuss my options for placement and make sure we agreed on a placement that both of us were happy with and would heal well. She also instructed me on how to care for the scarring that I had from my previous piercings. My nostril piercings turned out beautifully!!!!! And they didn’t hurt at ALL! I will be coming back to see Josie and hopefully to see Dutchess for a tattoo.

Came to Charlotte on a mothers day weekend and had impromptu tattoo session with Dutchess. I had an idea in mind, but Dutchess turned my idea into her freestyling a piece for me I loved even more. If you want to experience a positive atmosphere with engaging conversation, and just the overall feeling of sisterhood...come to Pretty-n-ink.

From the phone call to the actual services rendered this experience was top notch! My friends and I called the day of while out at brunch because I wanted a piercing. Giovannyy answered and was very polite and informative which made us feel comfortable coming to the shop to get piercings. Another friend decided to get a tattoo. To our surprise Dutchess came in while we were in the shop so my friend was able to get her tattoo done by this tat legend. Everyone was extremely professional and the experience was a whole vibe! I highly recommend!! Will come back for more work.

I went to get my nose pierced by Josie and she was so awesome!! She has great energy and made the piercing so easy for me and quick as well. I recommend booking an appointment with her for your piercing/piercings. She is super sweet and professional as well. She made sure my husband could be part of the process and watch me get my first non ear piercing. Awesome experience!!

This morning I called and spoke to someone regarding having a tattoo done, and I was told that on the weekends a customer did not have to set appointment. So around 12:30pm, I called to verify that I was at the right location and I was told they didnt open until 1:00pm, which I did not mind waiting. At 1:00pm I noticed that no one was there, so I called back and I was told they would be there in 20 or 30 minutes. Fast forward 30 minutes later, and still no one showed up. Called again, and I was told the person would be there in 20 or 30 more minutes. Eventually, someone showed up, however he was not there to do tattoos, but he allowed us to come inside. Needless to say, at 2:20pm, I decided that I had waited long enough. This is very POOR customer service and POOR business management.Let me also add, I didnt choose this tattoo parlor because it belong to Dutchess (didnt even know who she was); I choose this parlor because the business came highly recommended. I will NEVER be back!

I got my nose pierced. It was fast and easy. Dutchess, the owner did a beautiful job. Everyone there was welcoming, down to earth and extremely kind. I had a great time. The experience was 5 star but minus one because I didnt get any aftercare instructions. I was a bit lost with that but thank God for Google. I would recommend this place because of the warmth I felt there. Giovanni made me feel like a queen. Thanks for the whole team.

Went to the shop today. Definitely recommend! Dutchesss work is AMAZING. Got to experience it first hand, shes so down to earth and sweet. Her and her mom make u feel so welcome when u come in. Definitely a five star experience. Will be back soon.

The whole crew there is super friendly, made us feel very welcome right away. The studio is super clean and inviting, and my artist worked very quickly and efficiently to make sure the design I wanted was perfect. It looks so awesome! Couldnt be happier!

So...I went to Pretty N Ink today to get myself and my niece a piercing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with professionalism. Giovanni (aka Gio😜)was so nice. He gave us the paper work to fill out and kept us entertained until we went back. He even shared his mango fruit snacks with me! Dutchess was so sweet when she came in. She made me feel like I’ve known her forever. 😊 Very polite! She did my piercing and it was done in like 10.2 seconds with ease. The staff is friendly and the prices are great! My first time going to Charlotte, NC I wanted it to be a time to remember. I always wanted a tattoo and I knew once I arrived at Pretty N Ink, that this is where I will receive my first one, my mom her second. My mom and I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful owner Ms. Dutchess Lattimore and two members of her team Greg and Gio. We felt right at home. The environment is very sanitary, open and systematic. She and her team were very sociable putting the whole experience at ease She came up with an original idea for us to have corresponding tattoos, and we are beyond impressed and grateful for the experience of it all. She was very informative and taught us how to properly care for tattoos in order to get the best end results. We will definitely be returning in the future, to get more work done.

Im a fan of the show so I decided to visit. I called and got voice mail but, they called me right back. When I arrived Dutchess Mother greeted me with warm, was very patient as Ive never been tattooed and had several questions and concerns. KO was working with another client and asked the gentleman if he mind if I could talk and observe, which was considerate and professional. When I do decide to get my first tattoo, Im comfortable and confident in the competency and artistry at Pretty In Ink.

Ive actually gotten a tattoo done from here before a while back when they first opened and I loved it so thats why Im giving it three stars! The artist that was there at the time did a great job. However since the initial visit, a lot has changed. I came in to see about getting a tattoo done after calling several times over the course of 2 days and not getting a response. The bad thing is I was coming from out of town to celebrate my birthday, so I wanted to make an appointment so that way I can make sure I was serviced but, sadly that didnt happen. When we did get there, we had to wait a while because several of the artists were out of the shop. We actually met Duchess again, and she was there the first time, and, I was kind of disappointed because she didnt really seem too pleased to be in the shop. And when she priced the tattoo, we were told between $400 to $600. Now, I had gone to a couple of other shops in the area as well as other cities and had been quoted in no more than $275 and took no more than an hour and a half (I ended up getting it done somewhere else) I was a little taken back by such a high quote. Im not sure if it was because of the fact that it was Duchess that was going to be doing the tattoo, but I hope that this isnt a normal practice.

I love my tattoo! I originally had an idea for a ring tattoo and Dutchess was up front about the design and longevity of the tattoo because of the placement. I still choose to place it on my wedding ring finger but went with another design I had in mind, she added her creative style and it looks amazing. Regarding the atmosphere, her and her mom had my sister and I laughing.

It was my birthday weekend and I came to the shop for the first time. We had a wonderful time! Dutchess mom was there and Pac did my boyfriend and I tattoos. We absolutely love it...Great Service...Professional ...and the price was great..Don’t always go by reviews....Some people hate on her shop just cause she winning!!!! 💯

The hospitality was great. We were traveling and decided to stop by this popular tattoo shop. We didnt get a chance to actually see the beautiful owner but her staff was very pleasant and informative. Purchased a shirt on my out !

I booked an appointment with dutchess days in advance. I showed up on time (why??), sat in the shop for an hour, only to be turned away because she had to sketch my tattoo... I was then rescheduled for the next day... I never got a return text nor call for our appointment... I guess she doesn’t value her customers.. I’m def never going here again and wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone.. what a disappointment and complete waste of time!

Great experience. Dutchess was actually there when i got my tattoo done by KO. He was professional and fast. He free hand the art quickly. I Loved it.will be back thats saying a lot because i Iive in Dallas Texas. By the way they are not closed so ignore that

Well Im going to give a three star rating since I have not had a tattoo from this shop so three is in the middle of a bad tat to a great tat! What I want to say to the people who have been leaving reviews just because they are fans of dutchess, or they are begging her to feel sorry for them because of something terrible happening to them and want a free tattoo can you people get a life! How about you save your money get the tat, then give a fair review!

Great experience at pretty n ink, Dutchess mom was so down to earth. My husband, step son and I got tattoos and they came out great. My artist Kiel did a cover up for me, came out amazing.. Dutchess and her crew made us feel at home. We will be back!!

I reached out for consultation for a cover up tattoo. Unfortunately thus has been a disappointing experience for me. I had the consultation setup after reaching out multiple times. Two weeks later and everything that was discussed and planned for the owners never came through. Horrible followup and follow though. And for that reason out!!!!!

I do not like my tattoo it is so ugly then it doesnt fit my character it itches like hell and burns. My doctor said it could have been cheep ink or old ink . I would like a fix. I wish it could of been done by Dutches so I had to take a lost😤😤. I would like for her to resolve this issue. I did love my tatto until after healing it became horrible. This is my tattoo after 1year ago

I got a wedding band tattoo done here by Dutchess in February. You cant even tell what my tattoo says because it is incredibly light. My husband got his done as well and his is ten times darker than mines and you can actually read what it says. I went back in there in March to have it done over and I was told by Dutchess that the reason mine looks faded and his does not is because I am cleaner than he is (her words, not mine). What I tried to explain to her was that it didnt fade, it was never dark. When the tattoo began peeling I could tell that it was going to be incredibly light from the start. She was going out of town as usual so she appointed one of her workers to do it instead. He took his time getting set up and then decided to volunteer to help Dutchess with her suitcases. After about 20 minutes I decided to just leave because it was ridiculous just how unprofessional this shop is. Walking to my car, I notice the guy who was supposed to be doing my tattoo leaned up against the car smoking and talking to Dutchess, and neither one bothered to acknowledge me.I was really rooting for Pretty N Ink which is why my husband and I paid $214 to get matching wedding band tattoos that simply say Est 2004. We were over charged and given very low quality work that Dutchess is not even willing to accept responsiblity for. She blames it on the fact that women are cleaner than men and that (in her words) I told you it was going to fade. I would not expect something to fade the very next month though. I hope everyone takes heed to the fact that the workers in this shop are NOT concerned with their customers time or money.

I came in to get a tattoo dedicated to my grandmother and Toon showed out. Im in love with it. He made sure I was comfortable and happy with everything. 10/10 highly recommend for anyone.

I recently went to get my Tragus pierced. I was pierced by the Virgo..sorry i can’t remember the name. But her energy was everything. Every time i go here it’s always a chill vibes and cleanliness is always next to godliness.

Josies energy was everything! Very professional. It took all of 2 minutes. Was over before it started. Josies personality made the experience well worth it. This was my daughters first nose piercing.

If I could give it a half of star I would. Not only was I totally dissatisfied with the tattoo that looked like a 3rd grader drew on my arm, I was displeased with the unprofessional attitude I received to rectify the permanent tattoo from the shop owners mother. I was told the tattoo had to be 3x’s the size to cover it up and I still needed to come out of pocket. I went to Canvas Tattoo in NODA and the experience was night and day! From the consultation, to the sketching, as well as the prepping, products used, and service. An entirely different world. The attention to detail and intricate parts the artist did to cover the letters on my arm made by this shop left me speechless. They are all actual artist who take great pride in their work. I’m glad there was someone willing and able to fix it, according to my liking. Pretty in Ink needs a worshop on professionalism and tattoo artistry.

I was going through reviews because i am looking for a good tattoo shop to do a cover up. I came across Amber Falls review and just felt compelled to respond. I am Native American and just wonder why you feel so offended by the sign .... Colored waiting area ( or to that effect).... ? That is part of history and im sure its there to represent that its part of history and the fight that was fought for the right to be treated as human beings. To me that sign symbolizes freedom and i am quite happy to hear they have that sign there as it symbolizes strength and freedom. Amber Falls sorry to hear that the sign offends you for some strange reason.So besides that i was wondering if this place does cover ups over an existing tattoo such as over a name?

DONT COME HERE!!If you want a over priced tattoo for something worse then a tatt you can get in a trailer park please come here! This shop is a joke. The atmosphere is horrible, the employees are rude, and the tattoos are basic. My homies got some work done here and it looks like a first grader colored it. A day later the line work blended together and looks like a huge blob on ones arm. Honestly these people who gave it a good review must be paid, friends, family or literally have no idea of what a good tatto is.If you want a tattoo that looks like you did yourself please stop by this place., who ever the boss man who runs this joke, should go take a look at a good tattoo shop around the corner. Went for a consultation talk with a cool brother by the name slim, he was very professional with the info he gave. On the expensive side but I guess you get what you pay for, other then that the shop is beautiful when I get the bread up for my project I definitely will holla at the bro slim. Peace

Well i havent been yet but i know it will be a great experience. I just moved to charlotte and the last time i got a tatoo i was 17 years old i will be 35 in june. I have been through so much the last 2 years with my daughter almost dying to my daughters father dying 5 months ago. I really lost alot and just really feel like i need to find myself again. I want a tatoo that represents what i have lost and gain. From all of this and im hoping i can get dutchess help. Im genuinely confused as to why there are people commenting that havent been or gotten work done? You cant leave a rating to a place you havent been yet. So this 4.3 rating is a farce. Dutchess paid people or the commenters are deluded fans.ANYWAY I say that to say that the place unprofessional and dont believe the hype. Rude staff and just overall completely unprofessional. Big fan and I havent been there yet but I did call there twice like 20 minutes ago about getting a portrait and getting a cover up and the first lady sounded so sweet and nice but the second girl that answered sounded like shes got a bad attitude but that does not necessarily mean that she has one but when someone tells you thank you its only right to say youre welcome and before I drive almost two hours away just for a tattoo I would really want to feel like my long drive is appreciated but with that being said I will be taking that trip cause I have 39 tattoos and I need some real art and I feel like theres no better place..for the people with negative comments..STOP HATING

Horrible experience!! The entire establishment is unprofessional and rude..they act very arrogant & entitled because they are in tv but the fact is the shop stays empty ... I bet you if y go for a visit it will be empty... just ratchet lazy staff who do nothin & feel entitled and arrogant bc their shop is on tv... for the publicity and fame from the tv show you would think their shop would be booked but they are not... staff is rude ghetto and condescending,go anywhere else other than this place... the experience is horrible and Dustchess does not care, neither do the artis... not worth the money.. Dont believe the hype!!! And the tattoo artist cannot draw only copy and paste... horrible and over priced

Best experience EVER in a tattoo shop/art studio is what it is really! Best atmosphere you could want or ask for whether its your first one or your last one! Everyone is super cool and welcoming!
