Kapwa Tattoo Studio

I just got my first hand-poked tattoos from Brit Wang, and I am utterly in love with the process and results. Brit was so patient, open-minded, creative, and receptive to collaborating on my tattoos to be EXACTLY as I want on my body. I felt it was a perfect fit.. from the elegant and clean studio, to the artist and art. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my experience and results, and will absolutely be back for more. 100/10.

Jordan was an awesome person to work with and provided far more advice, assistance, and information than I expected. He was very patient and attentive to all my ideas, concerns, and changes throughout the design creation process. During the actual appointment he really put me at ease and his attention to detail and craftsmanship was most noticeable. The studio was also gorgeous. I love the final product and would definitely recommend him to anyone in search of a tattoo artist.

Brandon showed so much care in creating them for us and was especially gentle with my cousin for her first tattoo. He stayed conscious of our budget and ensured his designs fit our different vibes. The pieces are GORGEOUS. Were already wanting to come back for more.

I knew what I was getting and I asked for Glenn as the artist. He definitely delivered. He designed the Tat using my references, always checking in with me to make sure that it for my description and the vibe I was going for. He was great. I met some of the other artists there too and the vibe that they have is really nice. Would recommend surely.

I cannot reccomend Keh enough. My sisters and I wanted a shared tattoo that represented where we grew up, and our beloved Lola that recently passed away. We wanted someone that could really represent both aspects of home for us. Keh created this elegant and grounded tattoo of the Koolaus. We wanted something simple, and last minute gave her a photo of what we wanted. She took in all of our considerations so carefully, included dot work and shading that turned our better than planned. Keh embraced the spirit of Kapwa while we were there, and we cant thank her enough! Definitely will be back.

I worked with Brit for 2 custom handpoke tattoos and she was 10/10 incredible! She was so accommodating during the design process and super patient with the number of iterations. Brit definitely made me feel comfortable and secure with everything--ensuring I felt empowered to speak up and make any edits and even doing a guided meditation with me to ground us before the session. After nailing the designs, her tattoo process went perfectly and she was very clear about aftercare. I absolutely ADORE my tattoos! Mahalo again, Brit!

My first time going to Kapwa tattoo was amazing ! The vibes were amazing, it was very peaceful (enough that I almost took a nap lol). It felt so comfortable to express my needs and was not rushed at all. My artist was keh and all I have to say is that I will make sure every tattoo I get is done by her from now on! The sweetest person ever. Her art style is amazing, and she’s made me love getting tattoos again after taking a very long break from them. Very excited to go back :)

I got my very first tattoo from Brandon in January 2023. I couldnt have asked for a better experience as a nervous first-timer. He cared about the story behind my tattoo and gave me exactly what I had envisioned. I appreciated how he was able honor my Filipino heritage and make me feel comfortable. When I plan my future tattoos, hell be my first choice. Would highly recommend!

I had the chance to work with Jordan and he is great! Helpful, personable and professional. I hope his career continues to develop!I also had a flash piece designed by Brandon and done by Keh Who. Both super talented artists. The piece turned out beautifully and I get compliments frequently. The studio is clean, tasteful and safe and I have no doubt I’ll get another done in my next trip to Honolulu

Brandon cared about the story behind my tattoo and gave me exactly what I had envisioned. He told me the meaning behind all the symbols and was able to make space to hold both the contemporary and traditional parts of the process. The studio is elevated and upscale with an epic entrance, tons of natural light, beautiful wood, and a clean and spacious atmosphere. Would 100% recommend experiencing what Kapwa has to offer!

Ris was our first artist we encountered at Kapwa. She is apprenticing with Will who is a great mentor. Their energy was just so perfect for my partner’s first tattoo ever and my matching tattoo. I will definitely be visiting them again for more work from Ris and hopefully Bumi too! Check out his awesome fantasy color work!!

I got a beautiful custom piece from Brandon! The whole experience was really special and the studio is beautiful and clean. I love that he made the design specific to me and my story. Minimal pain, he has a light hand for sure. Highly recommend! I want to get another!

Brandon tattooed me in July 2022 and it was a great experience. COVID restrictions were rightfully in place at the time, and the studio was very clean with protocols in place. I was visiting family on the island, and had been in contact with Brandon through email when his books opened several months before my visit to Oahu from the mainland. He was communicative and the day of the appointment, he had a beautiful piece for me that represented everything I wanted. Brandon is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable artist, he is well versed in pre-colonial Filipino symbolism, and Im lucky to have something from him.

I traveled from Chicago for an authentic Filipino tattoo from Brandon, and it was well worth it. His knowledge, care, attention, and spirit during our session make this artwork even more special. Im so grateful to have chosen Kapwa for my ancestral tattoo.

Had an amazing experience in the studio! Got a flash piece done by Serina @anirestattoo and I absolutely love it! It’s a gorgeous studio with very kind artists. Serina was so sweet and nice to talk to! Definitely look forward to hopefully coming back and getting more tattoos done :)

Friendly and talented staff and beautiful space. Dr. Will did an amazing job on my first tattoo and really captured what I was trying to go for.I hate to ding them but do need to call out a couple things.- It’s hard to find parking especially during lunch time. Avoid making an appointment around noon or else you may need to park at Home Depot or Lowe’s and walk over.- Also recommend reaching out to the individual artists directly on Instagram to book an appointment. I never got a response when using Kapwa’s website and fillable form.

I went to Kapwa to get a Filipino Baybayin tattoo done by Brandon. It was my first tattoo and it was a great experience. The staff made me feel very welcome and brandon did a great job at making me feel comfortable about the whole process.The tattoo turned out amazing and i would 10/10 recommend Kapwa Studio!
