There aren’t enough words to describe how great of an experience I had getting my piercings done tonight. First of all, the shop itself is gorgeous. It’s very welcoming and calm when you walk in. The back room feels so clean and still looks stunning. Second, the customer service was top tier. Raven was so easy to talk to and obviously very knowledgeable. I didn’t catch the name of the person at the front desk but she was so helpful and really kind. Lastly, my piercings are PERFECT. I can’t sing their praises enough. 10/10 would go back again!

If I could give this place more stars I would. The staff is incredibly friendly and such a calming atmosphere. Me and my daughter got pierced which they made sure she was calm and comfortable. They walked her through the process and kept her calm through the whole thing. We worked with Hades who makes sure everything is perfect before even beginning and will make you laugh through your whole appointment. I came in recently to get my nose pierced and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff were super kind, the environment was inviting and well kept, and all of the staff clearly knew what they were doing. I had Raven as my piercer and without a doubt will be going back to her in the future. She was sweet, made everything quick, and gave great aftercare advice. My piercing is healing well and looks exactly how I imagined it. Overall super happy with my experience and highly recommend this place!!!

My daughter and I came in today and got our ears pierced together. Raven is the one that pierced our ears today and she was phenomenal! She explained everything right down to after care. Very clean and professional. Piercer made me feel super comfortable while getting my nips pierced. I was having trouble with the healing process so they had me come in and they helped clean it and provided piercing care and it’s healed amazing since. 10/10 would recommend.

Really fast and not painful at all! I paid 75+tips for double ear lobe piercings. She did a great job!Update: it’s been a week now, and no infection/inflammation at all. It doesn’t hurt, and heals quickly and evenly.

This place and experience was AMAZING!!!(lengthy review, be warned)I have been wanting my nose pierced FOREVER so when I decided to finally do it, I was debating where to go. I knocked a few places off my list from experience, and I saw the Flesh website and at first sort of ruled them out. how could I afford to go to this fancy schmancy place? but when it came time to book the appointment, the other websites were awkward and klunky. so, first awesome thing:* phenomenal website! not only is it super easy to navigate and book your desired appointment, it is GORGEOUS! stylish, sleek and informative, the website is hands down the most professional out there that I have seen.* we get to the studio and I was intimidated. I thought I knew how much the piercing would cost, but the studio made me wonder...because it felt like a piercing salon in a metro city, not little Lansing! it was spotless, well lit but still calming, just as gorgeous as the website, and very upscale. very professional without being clinical or removed. I actually asked if they were a franchise, because the art, atmosphere and website were all so chic and pro I thought it might be a bigger company based in like Chicago or Manhattan.* while I did have a bit of a wait for my appointment (maybe 30 mins), my piercer Hades was a JOY!!! he was not only good at making me feel relaxed, but was fun to talk with, thoroughly fascinating as a human, and well versed in his profession. I have probably messed up on some of my after care, but through no fault of his. my friend saw my piercing and said it looked so much better than hers at that stage and was healing well. so their aftercare product is right on target. and you really leave the place feeling like you are family and want to just see them again to find out how they are doing.* i wont go anywhere else in the future, and will send everyone I know here. I LOVE this place!!!

I took my daughters to get piercings, one navel and one helix, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is calm, Hades and the rest of the staff were incredibly professional. It was quite literally, painless for both of them. Hades put us immediately at ease and kept the girls talking the whole time so they were less focused on the needles and more focused on the experience. I would highly recommend Flesh Piercings to everyone.

This is a really beautiful space. I brought my 12-year-old in to get her ears pierced and we had a wonderful experience with Hades. He made everyone feel so at home. My daughter brought two friends and all three of them vowed to be pierced ONLY by Hades in the future.

They are friendly and treat you like family! Hades goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. The only place I get piercings now!

I went here for a jewelry change for my nose ring. Every time I try to change it, it’s always super painful, and in the past when I’ve had professionals change it, it’s not much better. Today I had apprentice Izzy change out my Jewelry and she was incredibly careful and skilled. It did not hurt one bit! Hades was guiding her and doing a fantastic job. Definitely will be going here in the future for any piercings. Highly recommend!

Hades and Raven were the most attentive and caring piercers I have ever been pierced by. My partner and I came in to get my septum and both of their nostrils done and Hades explained the entire process that was going to take place to both of us. When we were in the chair, he made us feel welcome and kept us laughing and comfortable the entire time. You could tell how much both he and Raven care for their craft AND their clients. I can not recommend this place highly enough.

The last time I had my ears pierced was 25 years ago, when I was about 12 years old (my mom did them). 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had been wanting 3 more piercings for a while, so I decided that was going to be my Christmas present to myself last year. I’m very pleased with the result. I was expecting the healing process to be worse and take longer, but it has only been a few days and I already feel almost no discomfort at all even when I touch the area. I put red dots next to the piercings for reference.

I brought my 5 year old daughter in for her ear lobes as a birthday gift. Raven was incredible with her. Kind and professional. Such a positive, relaxing, spotless environment. I will be recommending to everyone!

Had a super great experience! place is very nice, very clean, and very welcoming. Nose piercing- Raven was very friendly and patient with me while I decided placement. The environment is fresh, clean and inviting. As someone who had no facial piercings I was not intimidated at all by the experience and now I love my new jewelry. Would recommend them for any piercings!

Hades is a piercing genius. His customer service and knowledge is out of this world. I went here the other day to get my tongue piercing done.They clearly take a lot of pride in the business, all aspects were spotless. Their customer service is beyond welcoming, its rare that conversation feels so natural in a new environment for me, but I felt very comfortable quickly. Hades and Mikaela are great to be around, as is Red. Hades is really fun to be around, and does a great job making sure that his clients know everything they need to know about the process. He wasnt even doing my piercing, but he made sure I was being well taken care of, which I appreciate. He really cares about his business and making sure it delivers the most quality work it possibly can.Its clear that they all take their work very seriously and treat it with a lot of pride and attentiveness. Mikaela did my piercing, and she took care to make sure it was safe for me to get a piercing where I wanted it, and took the time to position it well. She walked me through the process well, and guided me patiently through what my aftercare should look like. I didnt feel rushed or like a bother at any point, I just felt that they were happy to help me with my piercing process. I can tell they enjoy their jobs and take pride in their business.Apart from that, the environment is very aesthetically pleasant, and it is well maintained. It has a very modern salon type feel, and you can browse the jewelry in the lobby. The receptionist (Red) is really sweet and will walk you through whatever you need. She is very patient, and makes good conversation if youre in the mood to talk.Overall, I can only think of good things about the experience. It was a great experience and I feel like it went really well, I would recommend this piercing place if you want a good experience with your piercing done with care and by people who really understand and value what it is theyre doing.

I have gotten pierced 3 times by Luna, who is so so wonderful. They keep me comfortable by making sure I am ready and talking me through every step. They have great conversation skills and make me laugh through the pain, I literally got one yesterday and was crying laughing with the staff afterwards. Along with another staff member (whose name is escaping me at the moment), Luna advised me on a piercing that was rejecting, and suggested placement of future ear piercings. I will be coming here for all my future piercings!! I feel safe there, and the first time I came in, I immediately was seen by Hades, even though I had just walked in to replace some jewelry. Hades was wonderful, and advised me on new jewelry, even telling me about the difference between internal/external threads and explaining the benefits and drawbacks. And the consultation was free?? Which is insane to me, I knew I would be coming here from then on! I can’t wait to see the new location!

I got my nipples pierced and it was a very good experience. The women who did it talked to me the whole time and made me feel comfortable. Super professional and put the perfect size bar in not too big or too small. Havnt had much pain at all and its the next day . Honestly already forgetting they are there because my pain is so minimal .

I have been to Flesh for 4 lobe piercings, and a double helix piercing. They are absolutely the best place in town to get pierced. The place has a cool vibe and is very clean. They have comfortable space to bring an emotional support human which is great! Hades is really good at what he does and clearly passionate about making the piercing industry a safe and pleasant space. He helped me to heal a botched nipple piercing from another local studio that wouldn’t heal for over a year. The aftercare is really a game changer for healing piercings. All in all if you are looking for a reputable piercer in the Lansing area Flesh is the way to go!

I was super nervous going in to get my piercing but the atmosphere was great. The owners are amazing. Hades (piercer/owner), was great at explaining the process and also making me comfortable. They both have incredible personalities as well that make the experience that much more fun. They also let you CUSTOMIZE your jewelry color so you don’t have to have plain silver jewelry! There are 26 colors I believe. Overall, it was an awesome experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a piercing or buy jewelry! I will definitely be going back.

We took out 6 year old here to get her ears pierced, and they were amazing! They asked her for personal consent and played Disney music for her. They spoke to her directly to make sure she understood how to care for the piercings. But overall, they didn’t rush her and made sure she was comfortable and felt safe. 10/10 recommended.

I came to this place for the first time 4 days ago because it had such high reviews, and Im so pleased with my experience! Hades worked with me and he is great! Hes able to balance being fun and being professional extremely well and Ive never felt more comfortable getting piercings. Very LGBTQ-friendly, too! My piercing is also healing extraordinarily well, Ive never had one of my piercing sites look and feel so good on day 4. Minimal swelling, redness, or pain. Hades is an amazing person who takes great pride in his business. During our visit, he was alone and managed every aspect. Im a person who gets overwhelmed with making choices and he spotted the perfect piece of jewelry for my helix and helped me feel relaxed about the whole process. I took my daughter to get her ears pierced here today and we were beyond impressed. The studio is professional in appearance, clean, and completely child friendly - even making sure the lyrics of the music were appropriate for her. The receptionist was very friendly, and Hades (owner/piercer) was very knowledgeable, kind, & easy to talk with. My daughter says definitely give him 5 stars! as he helped calm her nerves and was very gentle. Well definitely be back for jewelry changes!

I had an excellent experience at this shop. The establishment was not what I expected when I walked in. I was almost expecting a dark, hole in the wall with goth decor and atmosphere. It was anything but that. Clean, bright, friendly atmosphere with friendly faces greeted me. I literally had great conversation with staff, ease of walk-n appointments and ease of scheduling as well. My piercings have been painful but relatively enjoyable experiences. They are all healing VERY WELL with the aftercare spray that they suggested I purchase.I do not think i will go anywhere else for piercing when and if I decide to add more holes to my body. Thank you guys/gals for all that you do. You are on to something with just doing piercings.

First off let me start by saying I was impressed by how clean and nice this shop looked. When you go into the back, the atmosphere is amazing! Candles lit, relaxing music playing, it’s a whole vibe! And the piercer, Hades, is amazing! He jokes and laughs with you and just makes you feel relaxed so there’s no weird or awkward feeling. (So that’s a plus if you tend to have social anxiety like me) only place I’ll be going to from now on!

Staff here is amazing!! I went in for dermals having very minimal experience with piercings and everyone was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. Even played Taylor Swift for me. They clearly love what they do. This place is amazing!! i got my helix (impulsively) and my friend got her septum. the staff was very friendly and welcoming, Luna was our piercer and Sayj helped us out at the desk. my friends and i 1,000% recommend this place! we will be back for Luna to do our friend’s snake bites in December and we are going to be in touch with Sayj to do some tattoos for us!

I had an awesome experience at Flesh today. I drove over an hour and found this amazing spot. I previously had my nostril piercing’s done else where and they messed both sides up. I went in knowing that my piercings were messed up and they were willing to help me out and we ended up deciding to close them and come back and get them re pierced. Which most places wouldn’t even offer. All the staff here are all very knowledgeable! So happy I found this place! I will recommend anyone here even if they have to drive far! I came to Flesh Piercings for a second pair of earlobe piercings. My incredible experience with Flesh Piercings earnestly started the moment I walked through the door. The employees were immediately responsive, warm, and helpful for the sign-in process. At the same time, they were asking questions to learn more about my piercing expectations and wants. I cycled through their selection and selected some jewelry I thought fit me. I was pleasantly surprised when the worker - whose name I dont remember :( - affirmed my decision and added she thought so too, based on my jewelry preference and style. This stood out because other piercing shop experiences have made this process feel structured and up-sell-ish. Instead, everything was easy and genuine (most importantly effective, because I love the jewelry I got!).The actual piercing process was just as seamless, efficient, and - frankly - pleasant. Everything was set up quickly and meticulously, and any waiting time flew by because everyone was friendly and conversational - whether it was about making sure you got what you want from the shop or just getting to know you better. This was especially true for Hades! When he was doing my piercing, we were able to chat a bit. He shared his background and passion for what he does. I was also impressed by the attention to detail and care Hades took to swap a previous piercing with a new one I purchased. While other shops just let me take something home and figure it out myself, I appreciated how they handled this already healed piercing with the same detail as a fresh one. It reassured me that Flesh takes all aspects of piercings seriously. I stood from the chair knowing I was going to be satisfied with what I got before I even looked in the mirror. The mirror just affirmed I was right!Honestly, cant recommend this place more. Ive had previous shop experiences where Ive felt uncomfortable and uncertain from start to finish. It was clean, quiet, and welcoming. Hades did my piercing, and he was great to talk to and very kind. I originally came in for a venom tongue piercing, and Hades quickly told me about all the problems with that type of piercing. They were things that I didnt know about or consider. He was very informative, respectful, and professional.I changed my piercing to gauges because he spotted a very hard to see vein in the center of my tongue. Hades probably saved me from a costly hospital bill at best. The vein wouldnt have stopped bleeding if I got it pierced. This would be the only place that I would recommend to people. The piercers have the consumers best interests at heart.

Everyone was super nice, there was a small push back for my appointment time which was out of their control but they were so nice about it and apologized. This was the best experience I’ve had for a piercing, let alone the best customer service I’ve received in a while. This salon was clean, the receptionist was welcoming, and the piercer was very knowledgeable. Mikayla (or Michaela) was kind and informational, and took her time. I was pretty nervous to get my piercing (nipples) and they played music of my choice to comfort me. I had so much fun, and their jewelry selection is so cute. 10/10 recommend for any piercing.

Got my navel piercing today and I had a great experience. You would think you’d get that tattoo shop feel but nope, it was like a salon experience but with body piercings. The owner/piercer made me feel very comfortable, he took his time explaining things and didn’t rush the piercing either. The establishment was clean the receptionist was pleasant. It was a vibe. If you want more than just that regular tattoo or mall piercing, go to Flesh Body Piercing you will not be disappointed.

My Wife went in to have her nose pierced and we had a great experience. The first thing that I noticed was how clean, sleek, and modern the interior of the store was. Everything screamed professionalism. This was great because the places where people usually go to get piercing, like tattoo shops, can be rather Intimidating. This place was the opposite, they specialize in only piercings and the environment is very inviting. There is nothing provacative or controversial on the wall or things like that. We brought along my wifes niece and nephew because we were going out after, and this was no problem. It is definitely a family environment. My wife came in kinda nervous about the procedure, but he was able put her at complete ease. I came here looking for a change of jewelry and didnt anticipate getting a piercing.All of the reviews mention how comfortable you feel when you arrive and they are not lying. From the moment I walked in until the second I left, that did not change. I cant say how much that is appreciated.I had expressed I had some trauma and let one of the holes close up in my triple forward helix and not the greatest experience the first time I had it pierced.I am not saying it didnt hurt this time, but it hurt a great deal less! Hades, first off, coolest name ever- makes sure you know whats going on during the process and what to expect.So, from not expecting to get a piercing, to leaving really happy and I glad did, I had to let others know about my experience.Just dont be like me and walk in though, definitely make an appointment!

I went in for a double high nostril piercing by Hades. Instead of calling to inform me, he waited until I came in for my appointment to inform he did not do high nostrils. That was fine, but he went on to call them “dangerous” and difficult to do. I wanted my regular nostrils done too so we went with that.Hades pushed the needles through slowly, insisting I had to be calm throughout it to avoid “unearthing trauma”. In reality all this did was create uneven nostril piercings.The unevenness of my piercings has been exacerbated by being pierced with too large of a needle/jewelry and being told I DIDNT need to downsize. I absolutely need to downsize and due to Hades’s miseducation, my nose will have obvious visible scarring when I do choose to retire my nostril piercings.While in the chair, Hades was also very passive aggressive towards an employee. This seemed like an inappropriate time to be addressing workplace conflict and he should’ve left the room to handle it or left it for after my appointment.Upon leaving, I was encouraged to purchase an oil spray because saline and salt water “dry out” your piercing and prevent healing. This is dangerous information presented to push further sales instead of safe information that promotes healing and sterility.Overall, Hades was nice. His receptionist was wonderful and I hope the conflict I witnessed is not common in the shop. However, he encouraged me to use incorrect healing methods and did not inform me he was piercing my nose with a larger than standard needle.

I stopped in to look for a new septum ring and help getting it in. While I was there, they noticed that my helix piercing wasn’t healing well and had some build up. They immediately stopped to take care of that and help me figure out how to help it heal well going forward. I didn’t get either piercing there, but I will defy be coming back for any new piercings. Mckayla (probably spelled wrong, sorry) helped me out and she was incredibly thorough, understanding, and kind. She and Hades were incredible and I really appreciate the extra effort they put into making sure I love my piercings! They’ve definitely earned a new client!

I came in to get my nose pierced today, my first ever face piercing. Hades was not only professional and friendly, but clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about doing exceptional work. He was teaching a new apprentice (Farron [sp?] is so sweet! Youre gonna be great!) and was able to explain my skin type and its appropriate piercing technique to her within a minute of seeing my face up close. At no point in the process did I question my choice to go here, and if youre thinking about getting a piercing done, youll also be able to tell immediately that Flesh is the right place to get it done.

These guys are amazing! Super clean, very professional and just the overall vibe there is awesome. They take their time and educate you. Theyre trying to chance the body piercing industry because I guess alot of people (myself included) end up with bad piercings that end up infected and as scars. I have always had a very positive time here, but this last visit was much less positive which is a bummer.I requested the owner switch my piercing (stud to ring for my nose), but he had left before I got there. I understand it’s a fairly simple process to switch jewelry, so one of his staff could do it.The chair they had me lay on fell while they were holding my stud with the pliers to take it off - so it literally ripped my nose, skin pulled off. They mentioned that chair had been having issues for awhile, so why use it?They struggled to get the ring in after and then once they were done they told me it wasn’t the size I asked for, so I had to go through the process again to switch it for a smaller ring.Both issues that could have been resolved before they happened - not using a broken chair, communicating about the ring size before putting it in my nose.They gave me a discount which was nice of them, but overall that was a very upsetting experience, as I will have to wait to see how my nose heals from this.

Was pierced by an apprentice but was not told she was an apprentice until I asked, since she went to get somebody else to look at her dot . She was fine except she pierced my nostril at a terrible angle so jewelry wont sit in it correctly. I cannot wear a stud in both sides now because it just looks off. I also came in to get a shorter post length and they sent me home with the same length I had in ...body jewelry is not returnable.

I found Flesh Body Piercing using a Google search. They happened to be the closest one that could fit me in. I am so glad I went there. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and taught me a lot of picking the best jewelry. It took a little longer than piercings I have had at other studios in the past, but it was worth it. Everything was explained, and it was nice and relaxed. It didnt hurt much at all, and Im a big baby when it comes to pain. If I get more piercings (which, duh, of course I will) Ill likely go back. The only reason I wouldnt is because I live far away.

I had a bad piercing from another place and the fish hook used was pretty terrible and I had an extreme amount inflammation. I went in asking for help and he explained exactly why it was happening and the 24/7 Custer we service after care is amazing. I came in to get my ears pierced and a new nose ring. The back area had unfinished furniture laying around and the piercer showed up 15 minutes late with no apology. Once they finally got my ears done, I had to wait 20 minutes while the piercers chatted with eachother. Finally both services were finished and it was $60 more than I expected it to be, and it took an hour and a half for me to get two services done. Would not recommend going here.

Came in for some new jewelry and they gave me the hook up! After some miner adjustments with making sure the jewelry was all the right length everything looks beautiful. They helped me with a piercing that another shop had done wrong. If you need anything PLEASE GO HERE!!! They make sure your stuff is done correctly!!! Thanks again 😀

Walked in to buy a change of jewelry I was pierced with a different piercing studio that had been sized wrong, I was walked through everything completely with my newer nose piercing and given great quality jewelry for a great price, even though I wasnt pierced there to begin with! Raven was very patient with my 6 year old. She explained every part of the process with her and did things at my daughter’s pace.

They did such a great job I went in there to get jewelry changed but they noticed they I shouldn’t yet so they put a retainer on I would have never thought of it and this is my go to piercing place and I always tell my friends to go to!!!

It’s a nice store. Everything went seamless, I was walked through the process and told what was happening. Very happy with my eyebrow piercing, I will have to figure out what to pierce next!

Today my mom took me in to get my nosed pierce and they were one of the only places that would do it at 14! They were all so nice and she explained to me everything she was going to do. The place was very clean and overall we had a great experience!! Thank you guys so much
