Tim Bishop is hands down one of the greats. I have gotten 7 tats in 3 weeks and 6 were with him. Highly recommend.

Maddy is an amazing artist! She did an absolutely incredible job replicating a pair of pawprints on my forearm. Her attention to detail is outstanding, and she was so nice to work with. She made sure I was comfortable, and checked with me throughout the process to make sure i was happy with how they looked. I will definitely be back to get more work done from her!

Had one of my best tattoo experiences here at this shop, and it was recent. Amber Kirby is a tattoo artist and a piercer at the shop , she works conventions and does all sorts of styles and can bring your images to life on your skin. One of the most professional tattoo artists I have ever met and had the pleasure of working with. I do know they have other good artists,, but if you can get a chance to get in with Amber Kirby, I would highly recommend it!

The first thing that I noticed was the cleanliness of Ink & Needle West. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. I got my tattoo done by Sierra on Monday April 4th. Sierra did an awesome job. She took her time to make sure that I was satisfied with the design before the work was started. I am very happy with h work that she did and I will say that it is the best tat that I have gotten. I will definitely be returning to Sierra for my next tattoos.

AMBERRRRRR was the best of the best, not only did she help me and my best friend, she did an amazing job on the piercing! she rocks and i can’t wait to go back and get another piercing through her !! My 2 favorite people here are Sarina who is the only one I trust with my piercings and Druex whos done a few of my tattoos. These people are like family to me. Im so happy I found Ink & Needle and the people who work there.

Most of the staff was friendly and awesome. Recently got a tattoo...simple paw print of my deceased cat. Fine tattooing experience; normal procedure. Now a week or a bit more later lies the issue....its scabbed up more than any tattoo I have had and it now turning a slight green. I have alot of ink, not one has healed this poorly. Ive cleaned it, done everything I need to. I dont believe it is infected but I do believe he used a lower quality ink. I will now have to spend the money going elsewhere for a touch up, regardless of them offering one for free. I wont let their needles near me again.Cherry on top...my artist asked my wife if I was drunk prior to the appointment. I have bipolar, I was very excited and that makes me very talkative. So, he was judgemental as well. Dont recommend.

Amanda did a fantastic job for a cover-up. The detail in the tattoo is absolutely amazing. She is very talented! I will never go anywhere else again!

Went in for jewelry, and the front desk attendant didnt know anything. The piercer was out for a break and we waited but they never came in to clarify any questions I had. Poor jewelry selection as it was.

Went to get my septum done by poke, she was so kind and made my experience very comfortable. The women that checked us in and out was very polite and made good conversation. I will be going here from now on for all tattoos and piercings

I had a very pleasant experience with a lady by the name of Serena. I have worked with her on 2 occasions now with getting my ear lobes pierced and than replacing my earrings when they were healed. She was very nice to me when I initially got my ears pierced and quick as well. The total to get your ears done through them ran me around $40. I think it is well worth it given they use a sterile needle, it heals faster, and it is done by a Professional. They will make sure you have all the knowledge you need to tend to your tattoo or piercing and I think establishing a relationship with this business and its workers is well worth it. They will definitely put in the work to EARN your trust and business.

I was just in to get my septum done after wanting it for forever!! I went to another Ink and Needle location at first and the piercer there told me that the area between my cartilage and bone was too small for it to fit. She said that another piercer would most likely say the same, but to check out another one just in case. I came here expecting to walk out without it pierced again, but Sarina pierced it amazingly!!She checked out the inside of my nose and felt around inside to make sure it was alright to do it. The correct space was small, but she said she’d take her time to do it right. She made sure I was super comfortable and pierced it so well and perfectly straight on the first time (which isn’t super common for a septum piercing). She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I felt super comfortable with her the whole time. I am so happy that I came to see her and so excited I was finally able to get my septum pierced :))It’s now been 9 hours since I had it pierced and it doesn’t hurt at all (unless I bump it, of course)—which is a sure sign it’s been pierced really well. Definitely come see her!!

I decided to have my nose pierced last night, I read the reviews before coming here and all of them were really good. So I felt comfortable to go ahead with it. I walked in and Alexis was able to get me right in for my nose piercing. She was so awesome! Very knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. She made me feel comfortable and the shop was clean. All the tools and ring came out of a sterilization kit. Id definitely recommend this shop to anyone!

Initially got my nose pierced at a random shop in grand rapids that was having a 2 for $30 deal only to wait 5 months for it to heal so i could change the stud to a hoop and the stud was out for 1 minute and the hole closed. Today i decided to go here in hopes of better luck since i really love the look of the nose piercing and i was not disappointed. The wait was a bit long but i totally understand and it was definitely worth it because the piercing looks great. Sarina did my piercing and she was super descriptive and talked me through the whole process. i was super shocked when she asked if i wanted a hoop or a stud but i was so happy she did after my previous encounter at the other shop. Definitely plan on coming here again if i ever want another piercing done.

It was a Friday the 13th event and was a very full waiting room, but friends and I had our time slots reserved and got right in. Our session was with Bill the owner and he was great. Let all 4 of us come in together and was very personable and chatted with us and did a great job on our little tats. In fact Im positive I will be going back. It was my first tattoo and I love it.

Tim did an amazing job on my valknut, perfect size, perfect placement right out of the gate. He let me know right up front that new school and vibrant color is his thing, but as you can see, his line work and solid packed black is excellent work, too. Not to mention hes a great guy, too!

I was a walk-in for the Friday the 13 event. I got there an hour late and only had to wait 2 hours to be scheduled in. Which was great for being a walk in. The lady that did my tattoo was extremely nice and had a very gentle hand. It was my first one and all bough they were packed she was willing to allow me time in the middle of tattooing if I needed it. Which I appreciated. Her lines turned out perfect and I am very happy with the result. Just wish I could remember her name.

2021:Got a hood piercing and will be back for a few tattoos....Aug 2021 Update: got pierced with the wrong type of jewelry on my initial visit. I called it a turkey timer because of how it popped up. It ended completely coming out through the hole two months later. The staff took the time to listen and help me with the situation.Sept 2022: Had heart surgery and had to take my hood piercing out. Thanks for putting it back in for me!!!! You are amazing. Love this place and staff!!

Came here to get a nose piercing and had amazing service and got an amazing piercing. My car ended up breaking down right outside and they helped with us being able to get it loaded. A great place, and im so thankful for the piercing and the help. Definitely recommend!

This place is great. It is very easy to see from the road. This was where I got my first tattoo and the guy did the most amazing job on it!! There was no wait time there when I went, well other that the time it took him to draw up my idea. Very friendly staff there and the other artists (other than mine) were doing great work on others as well. If you are looking to get inked....this is the place to go!

Ive been getting tattooed and pierced in this shop for the last few years. Ive never left the shop feeling unhappy. Bill is amazing and he is the only person to tattoo me! The shop is clean, the people are polite, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. Highly reccomended.

I stopped by to see Bill, and got my nose pierced by Danny. Danny is awesome. He is very gentle and caring, and it didnt even hurt ! The receptionist is very nice and welcoming, the shop is nice and clean. I would encourage anyone wanting some work done to go to Ink & Needle West. Thanks for a great experience .

Ive had a tattoo and piercings done at this location and they have been awesome experiences!For my most recent visit, Angel was very informative about the piercings before and after. I definitely recommend this location!

My husband and I are going through an exceptionally difficult time. We tried for 3 yrs to get pregnant and finally did. Sadly it ended in a miscarriage. When I found the colors of the miscarriage loss awareness ribbon I immediately decided to get a tattoo with these Incorporated. We stopped in a few different shops and ink and needle West was the last one we stopped at. The artist we worked with, James, immediately made us feel comfortable about being there and was very helpful. I wasnt sure, you see, what I wanted to get exactly and needed an artists help to figure it out. I just had a general idea. However, Every shop we had stopped at the artists we spoke to could not do this. Nor could they give me an idea of how much it would cost and how long it would take. Unfortunately even though our artist there, James, was incredibly talented and helpful I couldnt handle the whole tattoo. James completely understood, deducted the time we were not there from what we owed and only asked that we allow him to finish his piece. He was also very helpful in telling me some things that helped when the pain began to make it too difficult to continue. I want to stress that none of this was Jamess fault as I am already very sensitive to pain due to pre-existing conditions. I highly highly recommend this shop and most importantly James himself.

Great owner, great artists, and clean and professional. One on every side of town almost. Southside and west is all I have gone too tho. Great job I&N guys and gals, keep it up!!!!! best in town!

I got my first tat here. The artist Tim Bishop was amazing. I love my tat. He took his time and listened to what I wanted. Honestly went better than expected.

Tattoo was good but placement is horrible. Artist had my left arm turned to the left to place a moth tattoo stencil. Now when my arm is relaxed while standing one of the wings on the moths is uneven and down lower than the other. The whole thing is going in a diagonal now. Called to see what could be done but they wont call back.

We didnt have the greatest experience, but it certainly doesnt warrant a horrible rating...I called a few days prior to my daughters 16th birthday about getting her ears pierced. Just regular lobe piercings. I was informed piercings are walk in only and they would be open on her birthday, that was it. We were unfortunately met with the request of a birth certificate and photo ID. I really wish that I would have been informed of this requirement during my inquiry. It was very frustrating planning the whole day and making that trip with hopes to get ears pierced, only to find out we were so unprepared.I find it unacceptable that they work in this industry and know the laws but dont inform potential clients of those requirements.The facility looked ok, the tattoo artist we spoke to about a potential tattoo for my husband was SUPER nice, but the front desk staff both on the phone and in person I feel were not personable, and they eyeroll once we couldnt provide identification made that clear.I thought about going back with my daughter and proper identification, but ultimately decided that since service starts the second a client makes contact, our patronship was not their priority, so we are not going to go back.The shop I found and have made an appointment with, has ALL of these requirements for various ages, piercings and pricing clearly on their website and upon calling to make an appointment, the requirements for age & ID were nicely reiterated to me to make sure our trip wouldnt be fruitless.

This place is very clean. Before starting the work Tim confirm the design with me and did an awesome job.I will prefer my next tattoo in this place.

Overall, my experience was abysmal. The receptionist was incredibly rude, and didn’t seem to know what she was doing. They knew I was coming in for a piercing, but somehow failed to tell me the piercer was on bed rest. I ended up getting a tattoo with my sister in law, but the most disgusting part of all was the fact that our tattoo artist is a registered sex offender and we were not told. In my opinion, that’s just vile.

Went for the Friday the 13th as a walk in. I entirely understand it’s stressful for the artists witch so much clientele coming in, but that doesn’t excuse a few things. I don’t remember my artists name but he was bald and about 40. I asked if my ankle was a good spot to get the tattoo and he didn’t say anything against it. Then he put the flash on not really asking how I want it angled, and when I asked if we could turn it a little, he had some attitude and said “ok. I’ll move it ONE TIME.” Considering this is going to be on me for life, I’d appreciate if the artists didn’t make clients feel guilty getting something placed the way they want it. Then half way through tattooing me, and not saying anything before, he only then tells me “just so you know this is probably going to all fade away.” If I knew this was opinion before when I asked, I would have gotten it somewhere else. I said before, I understand that they’re in a rush, but with such small tattoos, there is time to be kind, be thorough, and make sure your client leaves with confidence that they got great ink. I was more than kind the entire time, and tipped well anyway. Overall the tattoo looks ok but the lines look as if they were rushed.

I got two Lobe studs put in by Sarina, she did a great job explaining everything and putting them in. The shop is clean and everyone was nice.

Poke was awesome! She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with every aspect of the piercing. Highly recommend her.

The tattoo artist, Chay, was and is amazing. Very hubble, down to earth, loves his job and can do just about any tattoo! He did an amazing job on my tattoo! Totally recommend this place!!!

I got a small arrow on my ankle in Sept. Its done healing now and looks like crap! The stem if the arrow is not even. Thicker on the bottom half then the top and the head of the arrow is completely uneven. I gave the benefit of the doubt and called to ask for it to be fixed. They I guess were having some sort of even today so they said they could not do it today which is fine. I then asked if I could schedule something and which days they did this type of thing and the lady was completely rude and said that people are coming in and just to call back tomorrow. She said this twice to me and didnt answer any of my questions. I will never go back here and now Im going to just pay the money to have someone who is professional fix it. I wouldnt even give them one star.

I got piercings done and everything was great. Secretary was really friendly and the girl that did the piercing was really professional. I’ll definitely go back for other piercings.

2pm on a monday, they say no tattoo artist are working, says I have to look in books to find an artist I wanna use and schedule appointment to talk bout tattoo Id like and then schedule another appointment to get it done. Secutary is rude and dont seem like she knows what she is doing and is dirtiest tattoo shop Ive ever seen. Dont recommend going here !

Chay menke is the best by far!If you go in and the employees are nameless, he has his septum peirced along with gauges in his ears and black glassesNever met somebody so considerate and caring while still being professional and doing there job as needed.It took some time but the time was well worth it, never seen such fine lines with detail done so perfectly.To some it up, GO TO CHAY & your tattoo will turn out better than great!!

Just got my septum pierced and WOW I love it so much. They are all so friendly and accommodating there. I felt very comfortable.

Well i went there last year and the lady who dis my touge hit my vain in my touge and it took till 11pm at night for the bleeding to stop but it would bleed every few days i have to go back to south side for a second opinion and the reperced it the right way never again will i ever trust her or go there
