I had an excellent tattoo experience with Alex Martinez. Super friendly, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Both tattoos turned out awesome, crisp lines, perfect placement, exactly as I had hoped. The shop vibe was very welcoming and relaxed, clean and cozy. I’ll definitely be back!

Met with John this morning for a very simple but meaningful tattoo! What a great experience and the facility was awesome! John was able to create my dad’s last words to me out of my Dad’s old letters that he had written to my Mom. Thank you John for this incredible gift that I will always cherish! “Stay Tough” world!!

Went in for the piercing and tattoo event being held for overdose awareness. Had to wait outside in full sun for 2 hours (got a REALLY bad sunburn), then spent 5 more hours sitting inside the shop waiting to be seen. No hate to the staff, but events like this REALLY need to be planned better for customers. Go back to the wait list and text system and have more than 1 piercer to 10 tattoo artists on staff when offering deals that you know will attract a bunch of clientele.

Ive been here for three different piercings over the years and have always had great experiences. Alix did my septum and my nostril and both were quick, easy, and perfect!

I came in for a unique situation where I was supposed to get an MRI but had an earring that had been in for years that I couldn’t get out myself. I was greeted by Alex and although she was booked the rest of the day and had 15 mins before her appts started, she got meRight in and used pliers and magic to get this dang earring out! Great customer service and much thanks to her!

5-4-23, we had a group session, myself, and my two besties! We absolutely loved Katts art! She did amazing! Love the vibe and how laid back the shop is!

Larry was great! Did a tattoo on my 87 year old mom and was very gentle and polite. I would highly recommend him.

Skip this shop completely, I drove over an hour for a consultation with Shawn. Then got pawned off to some bozo that does poor work. Very disappointed and a complete waste of everyone’s time. If I make a consul with a specific artist then honor that. I will turn anyone thinking of coming here away.

Ive gotten two piercings with Alix now and each time shes explained what shell be doing and she unpackaged everything in front of me. She gives detailed aftercare instructions and has told me to reach out if anything looks/feels unusual or if I have questions, and Ive never needed to. I immediately felt comfortable with her and would recommend Alix for any piercings.

My partner and I both got our earlobes pierced here about a month ago and Alix was super professional, fast, and overall great. I had a small issue come up with one of my piercings a few weeks after getting it done and they helped me correct it same day as well.

Linzee does a great job and i would highly recommend! I got to be her first client at the shop and im very impressed. Beautiful line work and shading, great conversation and even better prices! I will definitely be back!

Four of us got finger tattoos and chose Ink Therapy as they said we’d get unlimited touch ups. They later said it was good for a year (okay, that’s fine). Well, the original artist that did them no longer works there and the shop is refusing a first touch up as they “can’t guarantee the results.” We’ll take our business elsewhere for all future work.

Got a tattoo today by Dom and she was awesome!!!! She made sure every expectation of mine was met and that I had a great experience. Shop overall was clean and other staff were really kind! I’d suggest coming here for some ink!

I got both my nostrils pierced and my septum done as well as some jewelry upgrades to make them cuter and matching. Alexis did my piercings today and their services were excellent. I would definitely recommend them. It was almost completely pain free. The experience was relaxed, comfortable, and very sanitary. They explained the entire process of the piercings as well as all the steps as they were going through them. They were very gentle but fast with the needle. They offered a really nice selection of jewelry and let me know that they could order pieces as well if they didn’t have them. I will be going to them in the future for my piercings.

Unfortunately I cannot in good conscious say this tattoo shops nor its artists are of good quality. I had originally schedule an appointment for a consultation with an artist (whom will remain nameless) whos work I thought matched my style well, in September of 22. the consultation went well, and I put my $50 deposit down, Scheduling the Tattoo appointment to take place in early October. The day before I was to go in to have my Tattoo done by said artists, I received a notifications via text that my appointment had been canceled. I immediately messaged the artist and contacted the shop via phone call, asking why my appointment had been canceled the day before It was scheduled to take place.I told them I had put a deposit down with the artist and to my knowledge the appointment was still on, why was it being canceled without contacting me first. The front desk lady was not forthcoming as to the reason, but mentioned they didnt work their anymore. I was disappointed and sad but I called it a wash and have been looking for another artist since.(in 2023 now) Then about 5 months later, I received an inquiry to my inbox from the artist, asking me if I was interested in having a tattoo done. I told them all the same information I had told them at the consultation appointment. I also asked where they worked. They said Ink Therapy. I explained in brief that my appointment had been canceled in Cctober of 2022 stating that I had made a deposit in September.they informed me that the deposit wasnt valid anymore.I am quite put out by this.I informed them that I find that a dishonest practice due to the fact that the cancelation of my appointment was not my fault. I was not contact by the shop to discuss anything prior to my appointment being canceled, nor by the artist. the appointment was canceled without my authorization or knowledge.I am not pleased with the artists choice in business practice nor the shop for its communication skills.

Been here twice now. Got a chest piece with color and lettering with my sons name by DP. He was quick, did great work, and was overall a great guy to work on me. 2nd visit, had an apprentice do a tattoo on me. All black Spider-Man logo. She was very good. Turned out great! Shes still learning, but if this is any indicator, she will be fantastic in no time.

Have been here a few times for special events and piercings but my boyfriend and I went today for a memorial tattoo for our dog and this was his first tattoo ever. DP was absolutely amazing. He made us feel so comfortable and was informative with the process and aftercare. Will definitely be returning soon!

Searched the area and decided to go see Malibu because of the great reviews he had and he was every bit as wonderful as I hoped! Best piercing experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a few piercings! After having my nose second pierced three years ago and having to take it out because the piercer at a different place botched it, I went today to get it redone and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Clean place, great affordable prices, Malibu is super friendly and it was so quick and easy— the least amount of pain I’ve ever experienced while getting pierced! I’ll only ever go see Malibu from now on every time I want a new piercing! Can’t say enough good things about the great experience I had!

Great service with a clean, relaxed environment. Got my ears pierced, and the piercer, Malibu, was very maticulous in making sure this piercing was lined up nicely and how I wanted it in relation to my first piercing. He was also very professional and calming, and explained everything as he went along. I will definitely be going back for any potential additional piercings.

Linzee did an INCREDIBLE half sleeve on me. She has such a light hand so the pain level was extremely low. She was very professional, easy to talk to, and someone I now call a friend. Will DEFINITELY be coming back to her for more tattoos besides just finishing my sleeve

This place is amazing! First of all, I had to reschedule and then accidentally missed my second appointment time but they still managed to get me in and were really understanding about it all! This was my first tattoo. Ive been to a couple other places in EL for consultations but they all seemed uninterested. Mark did a small heart tattoo on my wrist. Although it wasnt necessarily complicated, he made sure it was perfect (like literally redid the outline on my skin 3+ times until it was exactly how I wanted it). I absolutely love my tattoo and am beyond happy that I had an artist that was encouraging and supportive the whole time! Thank you so much again!

We did the flash tattoo for 40 and I love my artist and we were in and out very professional wish I could have had one color choice for it though but still an amazing experience

This review is for Ofie and no other. I got 2 tattoos done by her, 2 separate sessions. Each session she did not speak to me once. I had a rib piece done and laying on my side for 4 hours was really bothering my hips and I kept making comments to my friend that was with me that my hips are hurting laying on my side for so long. I was moving around a little to get more comfortable but not once did Ofie ask if I was doing ok. My rib tattoo has a ton of blowout, its embarrassing to look at.

The tattoo artists and piercer are top notch! Everyone is always friendly and kind. Jesse is my artist of choice and always does excellent work from large scale, highly detailed work to the simple and small tattoos! He is always professional and easy to talk to! The actual piercing and tatt staff are great. Very professional. Very patient with customer questions. End results are amazing. Linzee did my simple ace of spades tatt but her focus was 100% because she really wanted to get it perfect. And she did! The down side of this place is organization. Example when I walked in two staff were talking at my firing off questions and in the end confusing me. Then, since I didnt have my phone to be used for their QR check in process, they had to scramble to figure out how to process me. I received 4 text alerts and 2 emails in advance of this appt. Not a single mention of needing my phone. Check out is awkward. Im expecting a follow up call from a piercer but Im wondering if that will happen. Im glad I went here. They could up their game tho.

I previously had a pretty good experience here, so we scheduled an appointment for my little brothers first tattoo here. The guy booked us, and we were told to come in at 12. So we came in on time and waited 1.5 hours for the guy to show up. As we were leaving, he showed up and was not very apologetic as he was very late. We canceled and went somewhere else and had a great experience! Ink therapy did not give my little brother a good first experience and we left disappointed. The other guy there was very understanding, but I would not recommend this place.

Never gotten a tattoo here but I love their piercer Malibu! Super nice, honest, knows what he’s talking about, and he’ll answer you back pretty quick on Instagram if you’re having problems with your piercing. 10/10 would see again.

My original artist quit and I got a same day call and another artist offered. He was agitated when I was there and assured me my kids footprints were in the right order even after I questioned it. I should have left then but I chose to trust him. They are not in the right order after comparing them. Not impressed and will not be back. I also lost $50 deposit to the first artist which the business doesn’t refund. Over all customer service is not their top priority

Jesse Spencer came in while the shop was closed and pulled so many strings for myself and two other people to get tattoos. He was so professional and kind the entire time we worked with him. He designed gorgeous tattoos on the spot and was so warm and welcoming about working with us on the concepts we had. The shop was immaculate and sterile with beautiful decor and a nice waiting room. Jesse Spencer is a wonderful artist; incredibly talented and a genuinely kind human being. Couldnt give a higher review.

I waited 5 hours with my girlfriend for a Friday the 13th tattoo. We sat in the shop from 430. No one told us how long the wait was going to be. When we asked we were repeatedly told it would only be about an hour. 5 hours later there was still 5 people ahead of us. If I could give this place negative stars I would. This was wildly unprofessional.

Do not get a tattoo from Alex Martinez, he’s so incredibly rude. I got my first tattoo done by him like 2 months ago and he took forever to get to the shop. When he finally got there he didn’t seem to remember my tattoo idea so I had to explain it to him and then he took 45 mins drawing it up, my boyfriend and I waited an hour and a half. When I FINALLY got to my tattoo (my first tattoo) I was moving a lot, but he didn’t decide until after he was done to tell me that. So he said “it’s not the cleanest or the straightest cause you were moving a lot,” he didn’t tell me this while he was doing my tattoo, so the cross I got is all wobbly and I definitely need to get it touched up, shouldn’t have tipped him

My girlfriend and I got matching tattoos done by Ofie and we are very unhappy with them. The line work is rough and a lot of lines from the design are missing. Also the color is so faded and splotchy. We each have whole parts of the design missing. Also there is no shading and the tattoos look very plain. I would definitely not recommend going to Ofie. She did a rush job and kept stopping to talk to her friends or family on the phone. We also waited over an hour past our appointment time to get in. I don’t know about the other artists here but definitely don’t get a tattoo done by Ofie. The only good thing I can say is that they were not too expensive and the shop was very clean.

Ty Dezess was cool. He fit me in for a same day tattoo. Good vibes all around. The shop was clean, sterile, and overall great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Took my 13 yr old daughter to get her ear lobes pierced the right way not with a piercing gun. Amazing service, very friendly and professional both the lady that greeted us and the piercer who did it. Walked us through the whole thing and made my daughter feel in total control of the procedure so she was completely comfortable. Just an amazing place.

Malibu is the only person I will go to for piercings, hands down. Malibu is beyond amazing. Im terrified of needles and he has me laughing the whole time hes working on me. He remembers his customers and the conversations had, while still running through proper and sterile procedures. I never have a concern about my pieces after leaving and can easily stop in, if Im willing to wait a bit for him, and switch out jewelry if Im not confident in doing so myself.

There aren’t words to express how talented Ofie is. My two requests were that my piece be elegant and feminine, and it’s all of that and more. I’ve had my tattoo for 2 months now and I still get compliments every time I’m out. If my catholic father approves of her work, anyone will. I will never go to another artist!

Love my nose piercing the guy at the front desk assisted me and his calm demeanor kept me calm through the whole process. I was done in 15 minutes. Some pain but very tolerable 😁. I will get more piercings from them.

It was very relaxed feeling. Everyone there was really nice. Very clean feeling. I got a cheap stencil tattoo (my first) so I didnt have experience with any complicated tattoos here, but mine came out well.

Terrible! My daughter had an appointment at 2pm. The tattoo artist and the other workers were working on each others tattoos while my daughter waited and finally said something at 3:45!!! She has a 7 month old she needs to nurse, and shouldnt have to worry about that because they make her wait so long to work on each other! When she finally said something, the very rude girl that works at the desk made several comments about my daughter not wanting to wait. She waited almost 2 hours!!!!! Very rude and unprofessional, my daughter or husband wont be back!

Dom was amazing! She made sure everything was perfect for my daughters first tattoo. Super clean, friendly and professional!

I went with alix for the first time getting my nipples pierced and everything went well. She seems like she knew what she was doing and very clean and she was coo in general. Days later i was having horrible pain and i called her and talked to her about it and she exchanged the rings and instantly felt relief. I noticed i wasnt getting better, i didnt want to go back because i need it was a healing process but i decided to go else where (actual piercing shop) Turns out she pierced my areola and not my actual nipple. The rings were actual to far back they were getting inbedded into my skin. Horrible pain.

Alix was awesome! She was very thorough, made sure I was happy with placement before piercing, and made everything as easy and pain-free as possible. I love my curated ear ❤️

Linzee Henchen has been my tattoo artist for several months doing a total of 9 pieces in a short 5 months. All piece are my favorite tattoos. One after the other just more beautiful than the last. At this point I would only trust Linzee for all of my tattoo art. Linzee has the most beautiful line work I have ever seen locally. I have brought several people to get tatted by Linzee including my husband, my son, my sister and my best friend. 2 of my 3 children are also going to have their 1st tattoo experience with Linzee this very week. I literally trust no one else with the art I put on my body. Linzee is professional, clean, light handed, talkative (so if youre nervous she eases you right into comfort) and just real artistic Gem. Please look at her work as it speaks for itself. Also, book with her. My artist is about to get Inky Famous so you all need to book before you cant get her at all.

Martinez is the best man.Update after a year a lot of the ink detail has faded away. I been trying to get it finished with a color background but Martinez has failed to reach back out via Instagram at the time. Why I took 2 stars off

If I could leave 0 I would. My daughter wanted to get her septum pierced and I spoke with someone on the phone. He said she needed to be 16 unless they had the shop owners approval. He said still come in for her apt and he would reach the shop owner before then to get it. He made it sound like it wouldnt be a problem. My husband drove my daughter all the way there just to be told no and that they had no idea who I spoke to and asked if it was Corey. I dont know...they didnt say their name and I did t ask but Im livid. I have a very upset daughter who believed she was going to be able to get it done. If they didnt think it was possible they should have said no on the phone or called me to let me know as they had my phone number to do so from an earlier voice message I left on their machine. A total waste of my time

Ive gotten 12 tattoos here. I strongly recommend it. The prices are super reasonable for the quality of work

Got a great recommendation for this place. Had a couple small pawprints from my dog tattooed, artist did great work but over charged. Very high prices. 😕 Slightly disappointed Id rather an artist that is passionate about their work not their paycheck.

I went in to get a nostril piercing, found this place with adds on facebook. They have great ratings and as I went in today I got a chance to experience their great service. Malibu did fantastic with explaining everything and represented the company very well. The place was clean and welcoming, I would deffinitly recommend this place and I would go again without hesitation!

Ofie did an amazing job on this cover-up that I’ve been putting off for a few years. Booked a 4 hour window and only took 2 so she also lowered the price. Very professional and her art speaks for itself. Couldn’t be happier with it.

I visited East Lansing the other week in hopes of getting the bottom of my belly button pierced. My top belly button piercing was a little irritated so Malibu, the Piercer, removed my initial ring and replaced it with a longer one. This relieved the pain that I had been feeling due to another piercers mistake. Malibu gave me after care suggestions and made sure that I was not in pain anymore. Its safe to say that I will be traveling to Ink Therapy in East Lansing to get all of my future piercings done by Malibu!

Went with a friend so he could get a tattoo. Our artist’a name was Ty. He had very good customer service and the tattoo turned out nice. The shop was clean and the workers were friendly

I’ve heard amazing things about this shop so decided to give it a try for a couple small tattoos. I made an appointment via Facebook messenger. I sent one message on a Wednesday, they saw it but didn’t reply. I sent another message a day later just saying to let me know if there were any openings, and they finally told me they had an opening the next day. They booked me and took my phone number to confirm.I went into the shop the next day at my appt time and no one knew what I was talking about and that it must have not been saved and had to turn me away.I was super disappointed.

Linzee is a natural artist. I love her sharp clean lines and attention to detail. She can literally do anything. I will definitely be back again.

I have been waiting for 2 months to get my sleeve done and still havent got it started. Then I call and ask for a refund and they tell me no refunds. This is very unprofessional and should not be tolerated by anyoneIf you want a tattoo in a timely manner I suggest going elsewhere.

Made an 8pm appointment for a piercing over the phone. Showed up at 7:45, waited till after 9 before I finally went to the counter to talk to the receptionist, she ignored me for at least 5 minutes, didn’t even acknowledge me. Then she went on about how they were only doing walk ins today and tomorrow. Didn’t tell me that over the phone, didn’t tell me when I signed in and said I had an appointment. Wasted over an hour of my time because this lady told me I had an appointment, and they were only doing walk ins.

I went for a piercing and Malibu was great. He held conversation with my friends and I during my piercing as well as my friends because he seen her a little afraid about it. I believe my bar is too small for my piercing and its too tight on my stomach now.

This coming weekend May 9, 2019 a third party is advertising an event for this business which contains false advertising for services that isnt being offered. I brought it to the attention of the business and gave them 24hrs to rectify and correct the advertisement with the 3rd party. After 24 hrs I wrote a bad review on Facebook and was met with backlash and a conversation that got way out of hand. I was not demanding the false service be upheld, but rather the information be fixed. The tattoo shop should have rectified the situation with the 3rd party instead of taking the frustration out on me.

This was the first time I got my ear piece by AARON he explained step by step how he was going to do the piercing and open the tools right in front of me . Even though hes​my son am very impressed with how he was gentle and perfessonal with me . Love you son

I love this place. Every once in a great while i get disappointed but not for any big reasons. I highly recommend coming here, especially for piercings. Tattoos are great too.

We went there once and it was clean and friendly. Went back a few months later and it was dirty and uncomfortable. When we walked in there was a girl sitting in the lobby who looked strung out. There was a guy laying down in one of the chairs who was falling asleep. I was there to see the piercer, but when he went back to set up the room I walked out because I felt so uncomfortable.

I cant say enough good things about this place. My tatoo turned out phenomenal. He took a photo of my dog and drew that photo perfect, and then he slapped a different custom background making it the best tatoo Ive ever had!

I went in and got a inner lip tattoo. It only lasted 8 hours and when I called they said I would have to pay again for them to fix it when they told me it would last for a month. A fricken henna tattoo last longer than that.
