Brother Ravens Tattoo & Art Emporium

Went in for the Friday the 13th event. Signed up on the list around 5:30pm, was told it was a 4-5 hour wait. No call by midnight, called to be told the event was cancelled due to a “power outage” and that they had been contacting people on the list. My husband and I both were signed up with phone numbers listed, still no contact almost a week later. They claim “owners” are sending messages out, doesn’t seem to be true. Very poor experience. Not a good way to run business.Additional: We were never contacted on Friday, we showed back up in person at 10:30pm and had to call the shop just after midnight to find out it had been “cancelled” hours ago, per the staff. Your shop staff have told us since Friday that we would be contacted by phone/text in regards to a $50 voucher the “owners” claim to be giving out. Poor communication by the business. Poor customer service all around.

Thor was my tattoo artist and he was very personable. Did a great job and wasn’t rough while doing the tattoos. I’m definitely going back to him. The blue flower and the butterfly next to it. Love them

I have had a total of 7 pieces worked on by Ash here at Brother Ravens.Out of these 7, 4 of them were old tattoos that she cleaned up for me to look 100x better. (These were not originally done at this shop and were poorly done in the first place).She works diligently and pays attention to the smallest details to provide her clients with the most positive and comfortable experience possible. :)I recommend her to anyone that asks about my tattoos or is looking for an artist in general.

I got my very first tattoo here at Brother Raven Tattoo Art Emporium and it was simply the Fantastic experience. Being getting inked for the first time , I had my fears , doubts and many questions , but , I was welcomed humbly and all my doubts were clarified patiently .About the artist : My tattoo was done by Thor , who was very respectful, polite and sincere towards his job . He not only created the tattoo exactly the way I wanted , but , professionally explained me every step diligently. Overall , all the tattoo artists seem great here !About the facility : Extremely clean and hygienic place one could look for around . Very well kept !

Brother Ravens Tattoo Art Emporium is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a tattoo! Axel did a fantastic job! My mom and I wanted a matching tattoo and he captured our vision perfectly! Thank you for making our experience (mom’s first tattoo ever) comfortable and easy!

First time getting ink for probably 15 years and what did I do? Forgot to eat! Erick was half done and I said my stomach was really upset so he stopped, had his wife grab me a soda and a donut, turned the fan on me and I was good after about 5 minutes. Love the fun little tat I got and so thankful they took such good care of me. Will definitely be going back soon, with a big meal in my belly! Awesome shop and even more awesome people!

I did an 8hour session with Erick in mid-March. The shop was very clean, and it was easy to see that Erick is serious about keeping the space as sterile as he can.I wasnt sure what to expect for an 8 hour session (my longest to that point was 4 or 5), but Erick and Rikki are both super friendly and personable. It felt like just hanging out with friends.I had 4 pieces done, all with thick, black lines. They all look great! Erick did a GREAT job of adding some personalization to the concept art while still maintaining the overall look that I was going for. I felt like Erick was really willing to listen to what I wanted and work with me to make it happen. He was willing to spend time strategizing my future pieces to make sure everything meshes well. It was a great experience.I have a second appointment scheduled for June and cant wait.

Yesterday I got 2 new tattoos and a touch up. I am very picky about tattoo artists and being new here from Vegas it took me a few months to make a decision. Thor did an amazing job and I will be going back!!! Tattoo shop was a comfortable environment. The other artists were also really cool!

My first tattoo I am getting from here is a cover-up and when I say I had huge doubts that my horrible tattoo could actually be covered up, I was scared. But i am in love with my outcome! Everyone is so nice and make you feel very welcomed from the consultation to the actual appointment. I have never been to a better tattoo establishment in my life.

Poor work on a simple tattoo from the owner, lines were not clean and misshapen. Due to the poor performance, I have had to had my tattoo fixed elsewhere. I strongly do not recommend this shop and would not return for a tattoo here. Go elsewhere in Louisville for a professional tattoo and reasonable prices.

Thor is great. This place just feels like home. All other artists I met in here were just so nice and fun

Ive been to several tattoo parlors... Brother Ravens provided- by far- the best experience. They accommodated three of us, were so friendly, the place was so clean and comfortable, the artists were phenomenal, and the end results were fantastic! Thor and Erick are the real deal.

I played pool with the manager while I waited. The whole shop is small and the artists are like family to one another.

1. I am sure the artists here are great. I have seen the portfolios and I was really impressed.2. Its difficult for me to recommend a place that has someone so rude hovering around the front.Yesterday was probably high stress being Fri the 13th, and I try to consider what other people may be going through, but one of the women at the front (unsure of name) was just straight-up nasty to myself and my friend. Basic respect and decency is not a lot to ask for, especially in the service industry. How you talk to people matters, whether you are working at a business or walking down the street. Whatever frustrations this lady was/is going through, she seemed to take it out on my friend the most, and I would be willing to talk to someone about this and what was said. I dislike complaining about a business, and I was really looking forward to doing future work with this studio, but I have enough self-respect not to go somewhere and force myself to tolerate someone elses rudeness or lack of empathy, and I certainly would not do so to a friend.

Got a Friday the 13th flash tattoo. Only improve was that i wish they would have told me how long the wait was when I entered. I probably should have asked as well.ended up waiting 2 and half hours. The work was top notch, and the price was great for the incredible work they did. The atmosphere was fun and down to earth, and I never had doubt of the skill of the artist there. I will be back for more work. Loved it

I am a breast cancer survivor that had reconstructive surgery and a nipple sparring surgery. I felt less than complete. Wanted to get tattooed to make it look more natural. We went to see Thor. He was very caring and attentive. He really just wanted to help me so I felt comfortable with him. It takes a lot of trust to believe someone just wants to do good for you…knowing how much it means.I’m so glad we choose Thor. He did a great job and I feel great when I see them! So does my husband! 😊

Got my first tattoo on a very spontaneous decision during the Halloween flash tattoo sale. There were tons of great options for the event. Everyone working was friendly and fun to be around. Ashh made me feel comfortable during the process and the tattoo looks great.

Absolutely an amazing experience! Erick and this facility go above and beyond in everything he does! Not only is the art amazing, and the facility one of the cleanest Ive been to, but he is an amazing person with great conversation skills! Its never a dull moment when getting a tattoo from Erick! Erick did a fantastic job giving me exactly what I wanted while doing a great job personalizing it. Shop is very clean and chair is comfortable. He himself is a great guy, very personable and enjoyable to talk with during the session. Couldnt be happier with him and the work he did and I can safely say I wont be going anywhere else in the future for more ink. Thanks again for everything Erick!

Thor is absolutely phenomenal! He works incredibly hard to make your vision come to life. The establishment is one of the cleanest, well laid out tattoo shops Ive ever been to. I highly recommend it!

Ashh was absolutely wonderful and made the entire experience as good as humanly possible. Shes very experienced and the lines on my tattoo are actually perfect. Shes very light when tattooing and I didnt feel any type of anxiety about how my tattoo would turn out due to how professional she isWill 100% be back!!

This is an example of how tattooing should be done. Erick and his staff are first class. I asked Erick to cover an old tat and he NAILED IT! The joint was very neat, organized and sheik. The decor was very well done and I felt relaxed. What a great experience and an outstanding artist. Thank you to the entire group. Hope to visit again sometime.

Great experience from start to finish. Called to see if they accepted walk ins and although they do not I was given an appointment for an hour later. Once I got there the first thing I noticed was how extremely clean everything was inside and out. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted immediately and made to feel like I had been coming here for years. I cannot express enough how friendly this group is. Everything was explained, questions were answered, and the tattoo turned out amazing. Brother Ravens certainly understands the importance of happy customers and goes above and beyond in every way. This was my first tattoo by them but it wont be my last. Will be telling everyone this is the place to go. Thank you all for the great work and for being a place people want to come back to.

Had a great experience, it was my first tattoo! Eric the owner was great and a huge star wars fan like myself and helped design an awesome imperial tattoo and took plenty of time afterwards to explain the after care! Would definitely recommend and probably be back!

Erick did a great job on paying attention to detail and creating something I wanna put on my body forever, not my first tattoo from him and definitely isn’t my last. Will be back again! Amazing place!

Erick been tattooing me for sometime now, but today I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo done by Mark, he is such a nice guy. Also Erick work on my other half nightmare before Christmas sleeve and it turn out good, can wait to get it done.They both a very clean, the shop is dope. Love it.

I went there for a Friday the 13th $20 tattoo and I had a blast! They had great music playing and an incredibly kind staff. I just had my tattoo artist mark message me to check on my tattoo and I’ve never had that happen before by anyone that has tattooed me! He offered a free touch up to make sure it looked 100%. I would highly recommended them for anyone wanting a tattoo. I’m getting all my tattoos there from now on

Customer service was atrocious. Had scheduled a tattoo (previously agreed on price, but we were openly discussing style)So I called the morning of, to my mistake, an hour and a half before opening time (10.30am) to attempt to talk about a specific change that had been decided on. Was met with extreme rudeness, even more so when going in for the appointment at noon, to find out that the tattoo he had drawn up was a disfiguration of anything offered on the flash sheet. When negotiations on tattoo type were attempted, we were met with severe hostility, even though the updated tattoo choice bad zero colour and in a smaller size than the presented rainbow coloured catastrophe.Left under threats of violence. Definitely not going back, ever.

Such a clean studio with the best vibe. Erick and Rikki were so great, and made me feel right at home. Super impressed with Ericks tattooing ability and will definitely be going back.

Ill just say Ive waited to post a review for a good period of time since my tattoo. I try not to bash businesses or peoples art work. I also did not care to embarrass anyone with photos of my tattoo that was done at this shop but I will say I will not return.

Cleanest shop Ive ever been in! Erick did an amazing job with my cover up and I would definitely go back for his work anytime. $500 tap out deal is something I would totally recommend!!!

Very rude customer service. One of the questions I asked, they simply laughed; in a serious tone they said never call back here then hung up as I attempted to explain myself. I don’t care if he painted the Mona Lisa, I’ve dealt with enough Dbags, but this place takes the cake.
