Sarabeth was incredibly kind and patient as we worked through design edits I wanted to make to my tattoo… and tried several different placements with me to ensure I was happy with the end result. She gave guidance but was never pushy, nor did she make me feel pressed for time. She emphasized that it’s about what I want, since it’s going on my body forever 👍 She also had a nice light touch and a relaxed environment, which was all great for me as a newbie. I would definitely go back to her!

Went in on June 27th to have a tattoo. Phil Moore was the artist and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo and service I received. Ive waited 3 years to get this simple tattooNow we will work on the sleeve Im wanting to get. Thanks again and Ill definitely be returning to prophecy ink.

Took my daughter to get her 1st and 2nd tattoos, Cori is who done her work. I was very impressed with skills to be an Apprentice. I would highly recommend her. Shop was nice and clean staff were friendly and Cori did an amazing job!! We will definitely be back, well worth the drive.

I got a double Tragus with Maya she was amazing and she took her time to get them perfect. I also got a double nipple with Maya and Danny, they were amazing. This piercing hurt but they walked me through it. I definitely would recommend them both.

Tattoo was iight, staff was pretentious. I was charged $200 for a very simple 2x2 outline. The work took less than an hour and I was quoted a significantly lesser amount.

September 9, 2022I received the most beautiful portrait tattoo by Travis King. We recently lost our fur baby, Elle. I met with Travis, sharing my idea for a tattoo, along with a photograph. Travis captured Elles personality and innocence perfectly in his realism artwork. Travis attention to detail, color, and fine lines is unsurpassed. Friends and family didnt believe my tattoo was real, they thought it was a decal! Travis is such a gentleman, kind, professional, personable, and humble. I made a consultation appointment with Travis King and described the design I had in mind. Travis then introduced me to Don Alvey, an artist in his shop. No, I did not receive a sleeve or full back tattoo. Rather, I received a memorial tattoo on my rib. I knew my requested tattoo would not be groundbreaking work for a tattoo artist. Yet, each staff member at Prophecy Ink treated me as If my tattoo was as important to them as it was to me. I was treated as if I were their only client as they listened intently to my inquiries. Don emailed me with artwork twice and personally met with me to review his artwork before my tattoo appointment. Realizing this was my first tattoo, he showed me his studio, equipment, and briefly described the tattoo process prior to my appointment. All my questions and concerns were addressed with courtesy and respect. I left with an elegant memorial tattoo designed just for me.

Love this tattoo shop! Very quick to respond when I first contacted them by email and they always send confirmation texts for appointments. People at the front desk are very friendly and my tattoo artist, Jonatan, is absolutely amazing! He listened to what I had in mind, took my ideas into consideration and created a beautiful piece of art. When we were tattooing, he was gentle, calming, friendly, professional and did an incredible job. One of my favorite tattoos and definitely one of my favorite tattoo artist and shop!

When searching for a fine line tattoo artist in town, Sarabeths name kept popping up. There is a reason for that. From booking my initial consultation, to the two very brief follow-up appointments to make slight changes to the design, to actually getting the tattoo, Sarabeth was the consummate professional. I had my first tattoo with Phil. He was awesome, really laid back and great to work with. I came in with a very specific sketch that I created and he brought it to life perfectly! The studio is very well maintained and everyone is really friendly and helpful, especially thinking about being my first inking. Would definitely use Phil again and go back to this studio.

Took my mom for her 70th birthday after reaching out on Google. They were responsive & managed to accommodate a same day Sunday appointment. She got exactly what she wanted, it was fast & simple, thanks to Jonathan. It was definitely beneath his skillset & probably boring but he was great anyway. I went a week later & Phil was able to transform my husbands tattoo into a tiny version which I wasnt sure was even possible. He was amazing to work with & the details he managed to put into this mini finger tattoo are simply incredible. I couldnt love it more. Moms going back soon & I am, too. Also the place is a work of art in itself. Oh and price was super fair for the minimum.

I have 27 tattoos, came from out of state for work(military). Been here before and came back to setup some more ink(liked the work). Missed apt due to conflicting schedule. They were unable to get me another apt in before I leave. Long story short, artist blocked me on FB and I’m out $100. Prophecy ink was ideal but don’t goto there if you want good customer service. Probably the most rude tattoo parlor I’ve ever been to.

I would love to leave a 0 but the system does not let me. This business is very unprofessional when it comes to customer service. They think they can talk down on you and treat you like trash. To the boss Juana who chose to be unprofessional and feels superior, than her clients, what kind of business are you running here? Disgusting!!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS LADY MORE BUSINESS BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT DESERVE IT!!!! Go to another tattoo parlor.

I got a tattoo from Sarabeth the other day and had a great experience! Everyone who worked at Prophecy Ink that I spoke to was really nice, and its a cool space inside the building. Sarabeth designed exactly the tattoo I wanted based on a super old sketch I did years ago. She also got the tattoo done faster than any other tattoo Ive gotten in my life & it came out perfect. My tattoo looks fine, though incomplete. The artists are all talented from what Ive seen. My only issue is their policy, at least 7 appointments have canceled on me with each reschedule pushed back by months. After several days wasted I gave up and asked for a refund on my last appointment. This is literally your deposit to ensure the customer doesnt waste the artists time and it pays for your final session.I was told no and reminded of their policy. I reminded the front desk person i was speaking with, who stayed professional, that Im not interested in once again rescheduling an appointment and simply wanted to be done with the whole thing. I was told that the owner would reach out to me and never heard from the company again.Again, every person I saw did a fantastic job. Every person I spoke with was completely professional never raised their voice or was rude in any way. However, the multiple months spent waiting to complete my tattoo just ruined the experience for me.

My dog just passed a bit ago and I went to Sarabeth to get this awesome tattoo! She was fantastic as was the rest of the shop. I can’t recommend her enough!!!!

I recently went there to get a back piece done and hand how to a great experience. I scheduled an appointment and someone from the shop promptly contacted me because they needed to reschedule which ended up working working in both of our favorites. My artist was super helpful with helping me decide on the finishing touches for my piece and I am almost 100% happy with his work. Everything was clean and well maintained when I was there. Juanita is so friendly and hospitable, welcoming you to the shop and generally doing anything she can to make your time with them the best that it can be. Travis is one of the best artists around without a doubt, and once you start talking to him hes such a grounded guy with a great outlook. I have only talked to the other artists and staff in passing here, but they are always friendly and helpful.The ONLY down-side, if I was completely forced to name one, would be the scheduling wait. HOWEVER, I have limited availability myself and can only come into the shop on Saturdays, so thats six days a week that might be open but I cant commit to those due to a grueling work schedule of my own. So its completely understandable that with Travis being my artist and having a hectic schedule mixed with my own inability to be flexible that we end up with a little wait for appointments.Thank you so much to all of you, Ive been looking for a place like this for a while now and Ive finally found it. Stop on by guys, especially on a Saturday, even if its just to talk with the staff and get a feel for the place before making a consultation appointment. You wont regret it, I promise.

Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Tevin, the apprentice, has been working on my half sleeve for 3 four hour sessions. He’s wonderful. I gave him my idea and told him to run with it and he’s come up with some great ideas and has made it look incredible. Being an apprentice, it was nice that Travis always checks the outline work before he gets started. It took 3 tries on our first session before Travis was satisfied with the layout of the outline but that just tells me that the management strongly value the type of work their employees are doing.My tattoo should be finished after one more 4 hour session. I can’t wait for the final results

Phil is absolutely amazing! He made me feel so comfortable. He was very respectful and took his time with stenciling, placement, and preparation. I absolutely love my tattoo and the experience makes it 100 times better. I will definitely be coming back to see Phil for my next tattoo!

Juanita is by far the most selfish unfair Person I have dealt with in legit a 3-4 year span. She swallows up deposits for no work tendered to pay her bills. Go to Josh Tulley for tats in Louisville. Jaunita has always been a snake in the grass to snag money. #popularopinion and their ink is cheap. She’s just not an artist, she is a numbers runner for business. Don’t waste money and her follow up is horrible

The owners are incredible people and so kind. They provide an extremely clean and beautiful gallery with amazing artists. Jason did my first and only tattoo, and it is perfect! He catered to making sure I was calm and comfortable since it was my first tattoo and in a typically painful area. They host quality art shows as well as invite multiple guest tattoo artists to visit the shop. I suggest this business to anyone I know who wants a tattoo. Much love to Prophecy!

So far I have 4 pieces by Sarabeth, one that we’re still working on. I have so much trust in when I send an idea to Sarabeth, they’re going to turn it into a beautiful piece of permanent art. All staff went above and beyond to accommodate my and my friends last minute decision to commemorate my visit from Florida with matching tattoos. The shop was VERY clean and aesthetically appealing. Tevin did my tattoo and Travis did my friends. We were both highly satisfied!! Made an appointment w Kelly for a sister tattoo before my sister moves out of state. Never received a confirmation email of our design when we came in she had chosen not to draw the flower we chose because she didn’t like it! Um...it’s not going on her body. I asked her if I could help her understand what we wanted and we could come back another day and she said she was booked from “now until forever” so we couldn’t so that. She was very immature. She said she needed a minute and just left my sister standing there. We told the receptionist she can keep the deposit and left. EDIT:This is a reply to the manager. This is the last time I’m speaking on this matter. My original review my sister wrote word for word, I posted it on my account because she doesn’t like to leave reviews. You claim that you guys sent multiple messages going over tattoo ideas but you didn’t. The email my sister sent 2 hours before our appointment was going over the sizing not changing the tattoo completely. Also no one informed us that we only had 4 hours booked. When we made the appointment we were only informed to come in at noon and Kelly would get us in. You also claim that the gardenia reference wouldn’t make for a good tattoo but the person we ended up getting our work done happily did just that and it looks amazing! Also my sister was not informed that Kelly was in the back drawing up different images. What she told my sister was “give me a minute” and then ran off, when it was actually more that 10 minutes so that’s why my sister left. If she was informed that she was drawing up other images then this probably wouldn’t even be an issue and she would have stayed. So obviously communication skills are lacking. I’m sorry but when an artist says that they are booked up until “now until forever” to any normal person it sounds like she doesn’t want to do the tattoo. Also I’m disappointed on your customer service, especially the phone call we just had. I do thank you though for giving me my deposit back and will be keeping an eye on my account to make sure it comes. I’m saddened that it has escalated to this point. We were looking forward to get work done by Kelly because she is a great artist and this whole thing has ruined our very special experience. Thank god the person we saw was able to get us in and turned it all around.

Travis King, the owner did my first tattoo at Body Art. He is hands down one of the best artists we have in the state and one of best black and grey artists in the country. The crew they have is outstanding and very friendly to all customers coming and going. Couldnt recommend any place higher.

First tattoo at Prophecy. Jonaton was great to work with and did a great tattoo celebrating the birth of my Granddaughter. Couldn’t be happier!

I absolutely love tattoos but I am very picky with who I let tattoo me. It is all about finding the right artist to get your tattoo right, and the artists at Prophecy Ink are exactly the kind of artists you would trust. After years of waiting and looking for a tattoo artist I was truly impressed with, I found one at Prophecy Ink and added to my little collection. The customer service was fantastic, listening to exactly what I wanted and creating something from that that I could only dream of having. Now I have a beautifully sentimental tattoo that was executed with great detail and superb linework. If you want a tattoo, this shop is an absolute must.

I got in quickly for a consultation and actual tattooing. Phil did a great job and helped bring to life exactly what I wanted. Very pleased with the gorgeous setting and great tattooists. I fully plan on coming back here for more tattoos!

Ive never written a review of anything in my 43 years but...Im a bit of a tattoo collector, getting them from all over the country. Prophecy Ink - BY FAR - was the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. The front desk, owner, atmosphere, and artists were too notch and thouroghly professional. Josh was my artist during this trip; his work was impeccable, detailed, clean, affordable, and very very fast. Josh is a true artist who sincerely wants a happy customer. You can do no better than Prophecy Ink.

Cant say enough good things about this place. The staff is wonderful and lgbt friendly. The decor is hip, upscale and clean. As a woman, I had no insecurities and zero creep factor about getting a tattoo here. I plan to return several more times very soon.

I am 41. I got my first tattoo at 26 from Travis King, when he worked at another local shop, and I am still a client. I have never had an unpleasant experience. I have only recieved top quality service and tattoos. They know how to run a shop.

I happened upon this shop after checking out two other places. From the moment I entered and the welcoming nature of Juanita, I knew this was the place to get inked. Great service, awesome digs, no wait at all, great price...the perfect place to happen upon by chance. I was inked by a visiting artist from Venezuela and was really happy to be a a place with someone that spoke Spanish. I love love love this place!

Highly recommend this shop! I finally went in to get a sleeve started and every minute that I was there, I felt comfortable. Kriss Rage talked to me about what I wanted and before I knew it, he had my exact idea on paper the next day.Even better, the tattoo is grabbing everyones attention and I am not even done with the sleeve. Very skilled and customer friendly!

Prophecy Ink has an awesome staff and they made my experience a pleasure before during and after my tattoo. Josh worked with my tattoo idea and made if flow to better fit my chest, while adding small accent to make it stand out. I will be going back to Prophecy Ink to see Josh again for my next tattoo. My husband got a tattoo from here that ended up getting infected. After calling the lady on the phone stated to me that infections happen and that the owner would be contacting me. Two days later and still not one single phone call. They wanted us to come in for a touch up but we live 30 mins away. A simple apology would have meant more to me than not even bothering to call.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY! I came to Louisville for a concert and wanted to get a tattoo while I was there so I scheduled an appointment and they asked me for a deposit, which I gave over the phone. When I arrive at the shop they tell me there was a mix up with the schedule and ask me if I could come back, I told them I was not from Louisville and I could not come back and would just like my money back. The women then disappeared for an hour only to come back and ask me again if I could come back later. She finally told me they would call me the next day with a refund. Got a call at 8am the next day asking to call back WITHIN THE HOUR for a refund. I was sleeping and couldnt call back in time and they never returned my phone call after that. After leaving this review I got a call from the owner literally SCREAMING at me and now they refuse to give me my money back. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Ive worked in customer service my whole life and I would NEVER treat a customer this way. They only commented back to make themselves look better but still have not given me a dime back. DO NOT GO HERE

Tevin is very professional and gets right to work. I will definitely return and recommend to others. Cool spot as they have some pretty unique artwork on the walls.

Kriss did some fantastic work for me. He took time to help me design exactly what I wanted and did some incredible shading on my black and grey piece (roses). The owner and employees were all professional and friendly. I will definitely go back for future work.

Not real impressed. The art/ink work I saw was good stuff. Unfortunately, I never got that far. Went in and described the tat I wanted, and the artist said he would have a piece sketched out in a couple of weeks. After a month and a half and two or three voicemails, I gave up. I wouldnt have minded so much if the guy had called me and said he was just really far behind, but he wouldnt even return my calls. Very nice shop, and pleasant people, but big lack of follow through.

Messaged & emailed for an appt. Someone responded & asked for my #. Its been over a week & I never had a follow up anything. At first I thought it was a problem out in Oldham where I could never get anyone to follow up for an appt but apparently its like this in Louisville as well? 😔

Just got my first tattoo here, Sarabeth was amazing. I am so happy with their work!!!!!!

Since January, I have spent over $1,000 at this location getting a 3/4 sleeve tattoo. During that time, two tattoo artists have left, both of whom were engaged in working on the sleeve (the second taking over for the first - a very messy transition when one was fired). The work on the sleeve had been, up to this point, inconsistent. There is lots of work left to do.Tired of the rotating lineup, I asked the owner to finish the work and make sure it was done properly. I was told it would be considered new work and that I would charged the full rate.First of all - go to a shop where the staff doesnt change every five minutes.Second - go to a place where you can trust that the owner will stand by the work completed in the shop.Third - go to a place where there is less of a focus on the aesthetics of the venue and a place that actually cares about the quality of the tattoo.This place may look like New York Ink, but what youre going to get is Tattoo Nightmares.

Gave my friend the wonkiest tattoo, The lines are super uneven and he wrapped it up before she could even get a look at it. We took the bandage off and its really bad. A stick and poke wouldve had cleaner lines. I got tattoos here years ago by Jason that are fine and even, seems like theyve gone downhill.

I have gotten tattoos from most of the top shops here in town and I totally like this shop the most. Ive gotten my last 2 tattoos here and Im going in next week for a cover up from another shop. I have had tattoos for over a decade now and it wasnt until I got a tattoo here that random people approached me asking where they could get ink like that from.

Wonderful experience, received a beautiful professional tattoo. The shop was gorgeous, decorated with fantastic artwork. I could not recommend a better place than this one! Cant wait to go back!
