I love this place. Everyone is incredibly friendly. First time I ever went, Meg was at the front desk and was welcoming and kind. I’ve had piercings by Matt and a tattoo by Kennedy. Kennedy brought my vision to life and had such a light hand. My tattoo looked amazing and healed wonderfully. I’ve had my nose pierced 3 times at other shops and it healed awful. Matt explained the whole piercing process, answered all questions, and is incredibly kind. I’ve now had my nose ring for a year with NO ISSUES! Very happy with the quality and experience. I cannot recommend him and this shop enough.

Ive been to this shop a handful of times for both tattoo and piercing services and can say, confidently, that everyone on staff is really friendly and highly talented. Matt Borsa has pierced both my daughter and myself, and his expertise is apparent from the moment you sit in his studio. Cleanliness, client comfort and education, and jewelry selection are top tier. I cant recommend his services, or that of the tattoo artists, highly enough. 10/10

I have been going to dearly departed for tattoos for years and years. The most amazing tattoo artist ever. But today I got a piercing and Matt is amazing. Not only does he explain and everything else, he is just an amazing human anybody looking for tattoos or piercings go there. You will never ever be disappointed. The people are amazing. I saw Kennedy for a rose tattoo! She is super talented and I loved her work! Shop is clean and friendly! I also saw Meg and again loved my flower she did! I will be back for both of these talented artists!

Walked in on a Saturday looking to get my ears pierced, met Matt shortly after walking in and he was very helpful about how to make an appointment since he was busy the rest of that day and gave me a quick rundown of how things would go on the day of my appointment. Went in the day of my appointment was greeted quickly and someone went and got Matt and we got started quickly. Was very throughout about everything he was gonna do and explained all my options, very clean with all his tools and prep work too. He answered all my questions about how to care for my piercing and helped ease a lot of my worries about my first piercing. Overall great experience would 100% recommend Matt to anyone looking to get pierced.

When my husband and I decided to finally get inked together we did a ton of research. We wanted a dragon(specifically a Hungarian Horntail from Harry Potter) We found this gorgeous gem of a tattoo shop. When we walked inside and was promptly greeted by Meg, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. We explained to her what we were thinking of getting and she gave us a suggestion on an artist that would fit what we wanted. After talking to Davy Broyles, and showing him what wed like and discussing size and placement we set a date for our appointment.Davy absolutely blew us away. He was able to take the photo we sent and make it so much more. He made the whole experience calm but fun. He was very considerate when a break was needed. He even provided a snack for my husband halfway through his 3.5 hour session. (His spans a good portion of his back while mine is smaller on my shoulder.) Mine took a little over an hour.My niece and I have plans to head back and get something small together next year. Davy will be the artist we return to. I cant say enough great things about him. If youre thinking of getting a new tattoo be sure to check him out.

We had a wonderful experience at this tattoo parlor in downtown Milford! First of all, its located in the coolest historical house! Theres so much flash and artwork here, you could spend days looking and still not see it all. My daughter and I did the get what you get tattoos and had a blast!! She got hers from a gumball machine and I picked mine from a surprise box! Davy Broyles was our artist and he did an amazing job with our ink! He was very pleasant to work with, and everyone we met here was so nice and accommodating! We will definitely be back soon for more ink work! I definitely recommend this studio!

Took my son (10 years old) to get his ear pierced and Matt the piercer there was so awesome! Very nice and talked him through the whole process. Treated him like a person and not just a kid. 10/10 would highly recommend for yourself or your kid.

I only see Matt Borsa for my piercings and recommend him to anyone. Whether youre a seasoned pin cushion or its your first piercing, he ALWAYS takes care of you.He takes his time when setting the piercing up, sanitizing jewelry, checking in on you, walking you through every step. You will leave with proper and clear aftercare instructions, and he will get you in for a check up if you have any concerns.Hes clean, organized, kind, and everything you need a piercer to be.

My first artist had moved out of state so i was searching instagram for a similar style (flower) artist to add to my half sleeve. I found Kennedy and was so happy to be able to get in with her. I had never been inside and if you like old tattoo art they have the walls covered in them. The house itself is decorated so nice. Kennedy added these flower to my sunflowers and both tattoos (though by different artists) look like they belong together. She also made sure i knew the aftercare and had everything i needed! I have already booked my next apt with her and can not wait!!! Highly recommend this shop! Everyone was very nice!

I just got my tatas pierced by Matthew Borsa and he made me feel so comfortable with every step of the way. My 6 year old daughter got her ears pierced by Matt Borsa and we couldnt have asked for a better experience. Matt spoke to her directly the whole time while explaining the step-by-step process of what he would be doing and what she would be experiencing. His attention to detail and educating was outstanding in so many aspects as well. The amount of time he invested into making sure her ear rings were as even as possible was beyond anything I have ever experienced before. He truly goes the extra mile and his professionalism is top tier.

Went here for my first piercing that wasn’t my lobes. Got a septum and and helix done and had a wonderful experience. Matt is super welcoming and respectful. He follows all good safety regulations and walks you through everything. He also is super honest, if you don’t have the anatomy for something or something doesn’t look right he won’t let you walk out looking bad or with something that could potentially cause harm. I highly recommend booking with him if your new or old to piercing.

Everyone there was so sweet! I got my nose pierced in Atlanta and they did it wrong. So I went to dearly departed and they knew exactly what was going on. Mat removed my piercing and helped me get it healed up. I highly recommend! Very professional and kind!!! And they have free stickers:)))

Huge love for Dearly Departed ❤️Matt Borsa is an amazing dude and does great piercings. I went in today to have a recent cartilage piercing checked on and to switch out my nostril ring. Matt recommended pieces that would work best for me and was super-gentle (to the point that I didnt even realize when he removed my jewelry). I had my teenage daughter with me and Matt was very patient and kind with her, explaining the piercing process. I truly wouldnt normally write a review, but Matt really does go about and beyond, and deserves the praise. Absolute pleasure getting pierced by him. Highly recommend!

Matt Borsa is a fantastic piercer. For years I have been going to piercers that I thought were good. But I’d end up getting piercings I didn’t have the anatomy for, or did but it’d be done so bad I’d have to take them out.This time I did my research and I found Matt. He has shown me what getting a piercing should be like. He was patient and answered any questions I had and explained everything. He made me feel welcomed and most importantly safe. You can tell he loves what he does, and he’s good at it. It felt like in high school when you get that rare teacher that’s still genuinely passionate about their job and cares about their students. Honestly couldn’t recommend him enough. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it, go get a new piercing ;)

I see Matt, the piercer here, and I’ve been doing so for YEARS. He is a literal god send. He has the best professional bedside manner, he makes you feel so comfortable and welcome, he’s got the happiest vibes and personality to him. He’s such a gentle man too, even though he’s stabbing a needle through you lol. I always recommend everyone to Matt, and I will be a lifetime customer of his. He’s done many many piercings for me, all of which have healed beautifully, and he always has a gorgeous selection of high quality jewelry to select from. Remember you get what you pay for, and Matt is THE professional you definitely want to spend the extra coin on!

Davy was fabulous!!! He is incredibly talented and was great to chat with while I was getting my tattoo. I went in to cover up something I no longer wanted to look at and the design he came up with is just so pretty and exactly what I wanted. I was totally at ease throughout the process. The ambience cant be beat either - the location is in a Victorian house and the artwork is fascinating. Its also great that each tattoo artist has a nice, private office. I am just so happy and have already recommended this place to friends and family in the area.

Matt was incredibly professional! he took his time to mark my piercings and explained everything he was doing in detail, which made me feel comfortable. he sterilized everything and washed & changed his gloves when necessary. if you havent gotten a piercing done by him, go make an appointment! I took my 8 yr old daughter here to get her ears pierced by Matt. She was extremely nervous and nearly backed out (twice)! Matt was wonderful in walking her through the process, being fully transparent, and making her feel comfortable. Highly recommend this shop! Everyone I interacted with were all welcoming, plus the shop itself was really cool so thats just an added bonus. This was my first time going to Dearly Departed and my artist was Mark. Working with him was easy and he did an amazing job with taking what I described and coming up with a design I loved. The final tattoo blew me away and I couldnt be happier with it. I do plan on going back in the future.

While I have never been to their physical shop, I saw Kennedy for a swallow tattoo at the Toledo tattoo festival. I have gotten so many compliments, even from other tattoo artists, about how well done the piece is. She was also so friendly and made it a comfortable experience for me as a highly anxious person. I look forward to booking with her again sometime.

For me, tattoos are a very personal and intimate decision. Mark and his team are awesome, trustworthy people. I personally worked with Mark for over a year now on a cover up that is just fantastic. His business is a unique experience- not only architecturally stunning but most importantly, it’s about the kind and thoughtful people he employs that makes it so great.

Dearly departed is by far the best tattoo shop I have gotten work done at. The building and atmosphere are amazing. Andrew was the artist that I chose to rework a tattoo that I recent got at a shop in Brighton. The shop in Brighton couldn’t get it right after 2 appointments. I’d like to start this off with this is an amazing shop with extremely talented artists. I’ve been atthis shop 5X’s now, twice for my mom and now three times for me. This is still a place I highly recommended for quality art just not for an affordable price and is the main reason I won’t be returning.I got my tattoo on 4/20. I take responsibility for not squaring a price down in the initial consultation and even until after the appointment was done, but I guess I was just going off of past experience with the shop and that also when I filled out my contact forum it would be somewhere less than $500.Less than 1 hour and 45 minutes for the tattoo in total and it was $400 not including tip. ($480). I understand that prices have gone up for things and that hand drawn work is expensive but I honestly would’ve reconsidered if I would’ve known the price.I’d like to restate that they are FANTASTIC artists and I still recommend them, just make sure you don’t make the same mistake I did and solidify a price beforehand

Stopped in for a piercing today and had the best experience with Matt. He was so thorough in explaining everything and created a very calming environment for what could be a stressful experience. Would absolutely recommend seeing him for any of your piercing needs!

Dearly departed definitely didnt disappoint, the shop is absolutely amazing and staff is so friendly and pleasant. I got tattooed by Andrew and he completely outdid himself. I got a traditional rose on my elbow ditch, the linework is stellar and the colors are poppin. 10/10 would recommend.

Unreal at its finest type of atmosphere, I got my tattoos done by Mark and he was attentive, easy going, and simply a kind person. Gave insight into the tattoo and made it into something unreal. Seems like the staff is there in the name of art. Highly recommend.

I made an appointment to get an existing tattoo from another shop touched up.The artists all seem very centered on their work, and seem committed to doing the very best they can.Mark (the owner... I think?) helped me out on the phone, over email, during my consultation, and was comfortable to chill with and talk to as I was getting tattooed.Although I’m moving out of state soon, I think I’d fly back home just to get a tattoo here.

One of the most unique tattoo parlors Ive ever been to. Didnt even get a tattoo, just scoped the place out for a future one. And I must say, the place has been burned into my memory. Mark, the owner or at least one of them, was more helpful than I ever could have asked. Very polite as well, yet still himself. Rare nowadays at least in my opinion. You could just tell, he was living his dream. There was art all over not just tattoo centric either. Could have spent another three hours just looking around. All in all, the place is awesome! Any tattoo lover must check it out. Call them first before you do though.

You might walk in with one idea, but through dialogue and their expertise, you will leave with something permanent that will blow away your expectations. True artists and masters at their craft.

I got a tattoo from David. He was very nice,professional and a great talker. He was gentle and just a wonderful soul to met. I cant wait to go back and get more i found my artist. I love my tattoo thank you so much David. You are amazing

Don’t get me wrong I love the artists here and think they do a great job, but my personal experience with this shop has been extremely unprofessional. While trying to setup a date I was left on read and then ghosted... I messaged them 2 separate times trying to set up a date for my tattoo and I as left on read both. Even after that i really wanted their work on me so I had called on 3 different occasions just trying to setup a date and was never contacted back. Keep in mind I called during “open” hours. Maybe this was just a bad expierence but unfortunately I will not be trying again.

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and professionalism is second to none. If you’re looking for a professional tattoo artist in an approachable and professional setting, you’ve come to the right place. I will be a loyal client for as long as they decide to keep sharing their artistic talents.

Currently working on a sleeve here with Mike Mangrum, and I just can’t speak highly enough of this entire place. It’s exploding with talent, and everyone is so friendly, and the vibe is awesome.

Took my daughter here to see Matt. She has been getting piercings from Matt for 10 years and followed him from his previous location.

Unfortunately, I wasnt able to get work done due to rules so I cant speak to the talent. As an only parent due to deceased spouse, my child goes places with me. I didnt know there was a no guest and no one under 18 rule. Plus they decided they wanted time to draw up the art work...so I have to reschedule. Can understand and appreciate but disappointed, really wanted to get done today while had time.Bummed, but they were very kind.

Always get my work done here. Super clean and high quality work. I generally see Matt or Davy. Ive gotten multiple pieces done here and will always be getting work done here for the foreseeable future!

Mark, is an amazing artist, he performed a multi-tattoo cover up on my arm. The old work was... It was just horrible, and with the work of magic, Mark transformed it. People look at my arm now and cant even notice the old nasty
