Rufus has been such an incredible artist to work with. He’s very detail oriented and helpful with deciding on style choices and placement. Could not recommend supporting these guys enough! If you’re into fine line work, Rufus is your guy. Awesome space too, and super conveniently located being that the shop is right on the oval.

I was referred to Valraven Ink by a close friend who recently had a whole leg piece done by Rufus. To say I’m satisfied is an understatement. I went to Rufus with a design idea for a forearm piece and asked him to make it his own. He went above and beyond with communication, ideas, and attention to detail. I was a little nervous doing a consultation over the phone because I live 2 hours away, but he made the whole process so easy.From the moment I walked into the studio, I felt comfortable. The studio was clean, pricing was more than fair, and the detail in the art was perfect. 10/10 Rufus, you earned a repeat client and I will refer all of my friends to you.

The artist didnt take long to show he was a true professional. Right from the start. A comfortable home feeling in a spacious parlor. After the first tat it was something nice to look forward to when I went back for several more. Amazing artistic skills and genuinely knowledgeable he showed me the different ways to express myself while adding his artistic touch to complement your ideas. Wouldnt go anywhere else! Very happy for all the beautiful art work I received. Recommended to anyone. Best in town!

I had the most wonderful experience with Rufus at ValRavenInk creating my leg piece! I came in with an idea of what I wanted, and he made my dream a reality! I am super pleased with how it came out- it’s everything I wanted and more!! His fine line work is impeccable and his shading is incredible, he is a VERY talented artist. My friend and I walked into Valraven’s new location in Milford and from the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. Unlike many shops, no one looked at us like we didn’t belong. Rufus quickly listened to our ideas and designed the most perfect tattoo. I wanted my dogs’ ears and he even added some flourishes from the photos. Rufus was so efficient and most importantly, so personable. I felt so comfortable the entire time. I truly cannot recommend this spot and Rufus enough. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for a tattoo from now on!

I can’t recommend this shop enough. I went in looking to get my first tattoo done and it came out perfectly. Rufus is not only extremely talented but also incredibly patient and kind. I will definitely be using his services again in the future!

I got two tattoos done within a few days of each other...Christian ( if I got or spelled your name wrong, bruh...Im sorry...) first..super light touch, no digging, nor heavy-handed jabs. Both tattoos are healed. No raising or flaking. Smooth to the touch and I cant stop talking about you to everyone. Thank you Ill be back soon 💯

Valraven Ink TattooYesterday I sat for a 7 hour shoulder piece done by Rufus in his new Brookline space. By far my biggest and BEST tattoo.This is my third tattoo done by Rufus (Denard). The first was 3 simple words In script. Clean, smooth and flawless... effortless for him. The second one he did for me was to fix a tattoo done by a less experienced artist. Again, beautifully done...couldnt be happier.And this one...a large detailed floral piece wrapping around the shoulder and upper arm. His attention to detail and determination to make this tattoo AMAZING...was extraordinary. His creativity, his suggestions and perfectionism was appreciated and pointed to his natural talent and professionalism...so much pride in his work.Rufus is in a new space...trust me when I say he will be an artist that will soon be booking months out...I have zero doubt that he will have a loyal following and will be known in short time.If you need anymore evidence...I brought both my daughters to him for their first tattoos. He is THAT good.Finally note...this last tattoo...although the biggest, was worked so smoothly...my skin was not overworked in any spot. So easy to sit for that long when hes working on you.Can say so much more...but everything you want in an artist...who knows his trade. Exceptional…all around!Tara M.

Excellent work, I had the art commissioned from an independent artist, very fine line, highly detailed, and had it to fit between two other works just right and Rufus nailed it, first shot, came out perfect!
