Atlas and Anchor Tattoo

My wife and I called in 30 min after they opened and asked if they could do a walk in. I spoke with Josh, he told me to come in around 2 that same day. Everyone at that shop was very friendly and professional Josh was able to design our ruff idea of a tattoo into perfection! I never knew I could love a colored tattoo so much his line work is the best I’ve ever had! He was even able to do a matching tattoo for my wife at the same time! The price was very reasonable as well. My wife and I just want to say thank you to Josh for the great work! We are already planing on coming back. Well worth the 1 and a half hour drive for us!

Great tattoo shop! Ive had 3-4 pieces done here by various artists, including one of the owners they are all great. Not only do they do good work, they give great advice on placement, size, aesthetic, aftercare, etc. I always recommend Atlas and Anchor if someone asks for recommendation in Pittsburgh.

Judah (the owner) and everyone else there are awesome. Very friendly people and will be very patient with you. They understand their art will be on you for the rest of your life and will not stop until you are 100% happy with it. Its very good and definitely not over-priced. I recommend everybody who asks me where to go for a tattoo to this place. Atlas & Anchor rocks. These are a few cover-ups he did for me and Im 1,000% happy with them.

Judah is the best! I’ve been working on a sleeve with him for the last year. Not only is he incredibly talented, he’s very friendly and communicative. He is dedicated to producing great work that will last. The shop is clean and bright, and everyone who works there is awesome.

I came to Atlas and Anchor as a walk in with a picture to base a custom tattoo on. Trisha did my tattoo and I love it! She answered my questions about color choices, took breaks during the line work and shading since it was my first tattoo, and it even came under my budget. Cant recommend them enough!

Been there twice to get two different tattoos. Inside is really nice, both artists (Judah and Trishia) kept the area very clean, and both artists made it easy to schedule an appoitment. Tattoos were extremely well done. Will definitely be making this my main tattoo shop and recommend others stop in.

I’ve been tattooed twice by Judah, once a couple years ago at a different shop and finally a couple days ago here. The shop is beautiful—warm, clean and bright inside, and everyone who works there has a great personality and warmth! I’m kicking myself for not getting in here sooner. It was like hanging out while I had my latest piece done. Judah is super thorough with design placement, and incredibly attentive to detail. He is a masterful artist and wildly talented with color! I’ve literally had strangers stop me the last few days to ask me about my tattoo and compliment the color work. I can’t recommend this shop enough! Thank you for the amazing piece ☺️

I was recommended to Judah through a mutual acquaintance and I am not disappointed. I came to Judah with only an idea and he brought it to life in the form of a beautiful high quality piece of art on my arm. The shop itself is meticulously clean and an overall comfortable environment while the staff is really friendly and laid back. Some tattoo shops can be intimidating for people, but the staff here ensures that is not the case and is very understanding if you need to take a break for whatever reason. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait for my next session in May!

Ive followed owner Judah from another studio for the past 5 years and I wont go anywhere else! His wife, Trisha, did just as an amazing job. The color on my flower piece is bold years later and I love that theyre a Christian parlor. Incredibly clean, comfortable waiting area, and you usually have to book out for an appointment-clearly theyre one of the best!

Judah is an amazing tattoo artist. So gifted and calm. Always mindful of you as a client. Willing to take your ideas and make them a reality or put in his own flair. Absolute perfection! The healing process was a bit different from what I was used to, but it ended up being the best tattoo I have gotten. My artist, Josh, was able to fit me in for a last minute walk in, and even touched up an old stick and poke. If you are getting tatted in the South Side, you need to visit Atlas and Anchor!

I used to live in the area and would pass this shop everyday. One day I decided to take the plunge and get triangles behind my ears. I really needed someone who could do crisp, straight lines. When looking through portfolios, Judah was the man I needed. He was very thoughtful about where to put it, sizing, etc. I came out adoring them. Fast forward a couple months later. I want some lyrics and flowers. WHO BETTER THAN MY MAN JUDAH. And was I impressed? Of course. BUT I WASNT THE ONLY ONE. Every single person who has seen my thigh tattoo has said everything about it is perfection. The lines are beautiful, color is vibrant, the spacing is magnificent. So what do I do a couple more months later? GO BACK AGAIN. Judah actually cares about you, works with what you want, and is overall an amazing guy. The shop is clean and beautiful, so you never worry about getting anything in that beautiful tattoo. I love this shop and Judah, I’m planning up my next tattoo so I’ll be seeing you soon.

My friend and I came to Atlas and Anchor during our day trip to Pittsburgh and I couldnt say enough good things about Judah. Not only is he the nicest person Ive ever been tattooed by, but he was very intentional on making sure my tattoo was perfect. He made sure that the script was thin and big enough so that it wouldnt blend together, and that the placement was exactly what I wanted. Its my new favorite tattoo ~ thanks Judah!!

Haley is a great artist, she took my tattoo on somewhat last minute and did an awesome job!!!!!! She and another artist were able to take some images I had and turn them into the cutest little scene. I love it!! The shop itself is very relaxed, making an extremely comfortable experience.

Just got my second tattoo done today and my first color tattoo. Vika did an absolutely outstanding job turning my idea into a beautiful work of body art! The studio was incredibly clean and each and every staff member I encountered today was fantastic! I will definitely return for any future tattoos!

Full disclosure: the owner and I grew up in the same small town and we are friends.I had a few tattoos before coming to A&A, but I used to get only one per city.. now, for Pittsburgh and A&A, I have made an exception and I think I will make more.Ive had sessions in LA, San Juan, Boston, and some other cities. Every studio has its own character, but I love the openness of A&A, it feels like Im getting tattoos _with_ other people, which was quite unique to the other studios I had been in.The aesthetic of A&A is dominated by mostly individually framed flash nearly from floor to ceiling. Its impossible to capture this collection in words, really, but its worth a look even for the tattoo curious.Ive gotten two pieces from A&A so far, and truly, I was not addicted to tattoos until now.My latest piece from A&A is by Judah in design and execution. You can see it on the A&A Facebook page. Its the eagle on the shoulder.

So I had followed Trisha, Judah and the shop page on Instagram for quite some time. probably since they first opened. I finally went for it and got a tattoo off their $100-$150 board and absolutely love it! Trisha did amazing work and I am planning to go back for more around my birthday! at least before I move out west, to fill in the top of my left upper arm!

Vika did my Jack Skellington tattoo. She is WONDERFUL and pays so much attention to the little details! Very sweet and super talented!
