I had a friend visiting from the east coast and decided to get a piercing together. We walked into Ten Tigers and were immediately welcomed by Bella And Lev. They were an absolute joy to talk to, and they walked us through all the steps and answered every question we had. They were fully booked, but squeezed us in!Getting the piercing was a smooth experience thanks to Mason, who did an excellent job at answering questions, making me feel less nervous, and talking through all the steps before performing the piercing. Overall, me and my friend had an excellent experience. We enjoyed the people, we LOOOOVE our new piercings, and we are looking forward to our next visit with Ten Tigers.

Came here on my birthday to get a helix piercing, front desk (I think it was Lev!) was absolutely wonderful and so friendly! They made me feel super comfortable and welcomed and gave me so much time to pick out the right earring! Ben was my piercer— absolutely wonderful human being. Talked me through every step, made me feel super safe and comfortable and did such a great job!! If only I didn’t live across the country!! Thanks so much for making my birthday special!

I walked into this shop with four of my co workers on a whim and I could not have asked for a better experience. I got my septum pierced and the whole process from start to finish was amazing, flawless, and professional. (The healing has gone swimmingly by the way, no pain or swelling!) A huge thank you to Lev and Ben for such a wonderful time! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone living in (or visiting) San Francisco!

I love everything about Ten Tigers. I got my nostril pierced there years ago and had an amazing experience. This time when I visited I wanted to ask about getting a new septum at a larger gauge because I had an old piece of jewelry I couldnt fit anymore. After a chat with the lovely piercer and reception person they advised me that I could probably just try at home with some lube. While this might sound like they turned me away, I actually appreciate that they gave me a chance to do it myself instead of just take my money. And guess what, I DID DO IT MYSELF!! I appreciate that they gave me the information and tools to help me!! Honestly it sucks I live across the country now because if I want a new piercing Im just gonna have to book a flight 😮‍💨🤣

I just got an anti eyebrow piercing and I’m so happy with it! I was able to speak with Ben on the phone before and he was super helpful and answered all my questions. I got pierced by another Ben and it went super smooth and he explained the whole process in detail. Honestly loved the vibes, super easy going rly nice staff. first time here but i’ll be back!!

Such an amazing experience! The staff was so so sweet! My sister came in to get a piercing for her bday and Ben was so sweet in walking her through the process and making sure she felt comfortable! Definitely recommend! The piercing is beautiful!

I got labret here , I didn’t feel pain at all. The guy I don’t know his name is so professional and experienced. My healing process was pretty nice, no inflammation. I am thinking of getting another one on my eyebrows. By the way, my friend did a lot research she recommended me this place.

Wow… what an amazing experience! I made an appointment to surprise my nephew with a nose piercing, that he has been wanting for a while. Mason and Lev were so supportive and friendly with giving my nephew (who wanted to flake) the confidence to decide for himself if he wanted to move forward. I got an ad for their promotion for $10 piercing and a portion will be donated to an animal shelter. I came in with my friend the next day. I planned to get helix piercings on both ears. My friend planned for a conch piercing. Unfortunately, I dont remember the name of the people who helped us, but they were both very helpful.The girl working helped us with jewelry and answered all our questions. I love that they have a bigger selection of jewelry. She was really helpful and was super patient with us. Once we decided, she gave us the forms and we went into the small room. The man who pierced us actually recommended me to not get my other ear pierced due to my ear shape/fold. He was super informative and friendly. The piercing was done quickly and well.I would definitely recommend this place for piercings. They were quick and helpful. They also offered a 15% off jewelry if we came back for a check up within a few weeks.

I went in to replace a piece of jewelry and came out with a new piercing! Lev was amazingly patient and informative right from when I walked into the shop, and Xochi was super friendly and really made me feel comfortable through the piercing. Whenever I am in need of any new jewelry or feeling impulsive again, I will definitely go back!

New review: I came here yesterday to change the piece of an existing piercing. The piercer gave me the piece that she removed in a little bag but today when I checked she gave me a different piece! It looks slightly different from the old one I had but still not the same. My old piece costed me like 80 bucks(in this location) I am very mad. I thought this place was profesional.In addition she didnt asked me before changing the piece and didnt follow the instructions that I gave her. She change the piece 2 times.old review: This place is amazing. I made an appointment to change the jewelry on my nostril piercing. They let me in on time, check my vaccination card and my ID. This place is not the cheapest option but remember that you pay for quality. The place has a good variety of jewelry. The two girls at the front desk were lovely and helpful. You can see that they really care and love their job. I will be coming back.

THE BEST PIERCING PLACE YOU’LL FIND IN SF. I was pierced by the amazing “Kitty Soft Paws” Xochi, they were so gentle and beautifully delicate with everything I got done.(I had to get my Daith, tragus & stacked lobe jewelry re-inserted + new jewelry in my other ear Tragus & Rook PLUS a gorgeous Conch freshly pierced!!) Such a beautiful gem of a human. I felt nothing, THE most gentle hands ever. Not to mention Lev, at the front desk, who walks you through everything and anything jewelry/pricing or any other concerns or questions you may have✨ these two are the dynamic duo!! Friendly, knowledgeable, patient - a great experience. I took my nine year old here to get his ears pierced. I was looking for an alternative to a mall or some place that uses ear piercing guns (Ive heard too many horror stories). The staff were so amazing. I cannot say enough nice things. They were respectful and patient and kind. They made it a whole experience for him, just by treating him like a real person and being themselves. If youre looking for a place to get your kids ears pierced, I highly recommend this place. Dont forget to make an appointment! They were also amazing about accommodating walk-ins, but the place was busy.

Super clean and efficient. Cat was my piercer and not only was she thorough with instructions for cleaning my piercing, she was also gentle, calm, and comforting. The receptionist who helped me get my appointment started and helped me choose my jewelry, is very chill, and knowledgeable. She has an eye for finding what looks good and works for you! A cute cozy shop tucked right in the heart of 16thst and Castro! Go there! You wont regret it!

Max and the staff were super professional, engaging, quick, and most importantly had exquisite sterile technique. I never felt uncomfortable and they went over the aftercare and even provided the products I would need to care for my new piercings. It’s clear they are well trained and experienced. By far one of the best and most knowledgeable shops Ive ever been to when it came time to choosing which location I would give the honor of piercing my principal as in a Prince Albert. Got my nose pierced here, absolutely love the vibe and the staff, the person piercing my nose was so kind and made sure my nose was good before I left. I highly suggest going here.

My piercing experience on 2/26/23 with Holly was good. It was clean and quick, and I felt well-informed, but I was disappointed with the studio’s cost transparency. The tipping percentage options provided at checkout were based on the full subtotal (service(s) and products). There was a custom tip option, but an itemized breakdown of cost was not provided at the time of checkout. I tipped 20% without realizing that was not just on the service cost. Later I checked my emailed receipt, noticed it wasn’t itemized, and requested an itemized version. Once I realized my mistake I called and then stopped back by the studio to correct it. They reluctantly allowed me to adjust my tip to 20% on the piercing service cost, specifically. While I appreciate that in the end I was able to pay what I intended to, I was left with the distinct impression that I had been intentionally misled at checkout.

Lev & team are so welcoming and knowledgeable! I have been here a few times and every time is a great experience. Definitely the best piercing studio in the city and would recommend to anyone!

Best piercing experience I’ve ever had. Just the nicest human beings who could not have been more welcoming and celebratory of my experience. I felt absolutely hugged by the studio. Love them.

I got three piercings in December 2021 (helix and second and third lobe piercings). I wanted to be able to wear an orbital earring connecting the second and third lobe piercings so they pierced the third lobe piercing at an angle. Over a year later and the third lobe piercing still hasn’t healed. I finally went to a new piercing studio yesterday and they told me that the original piercer should have advised me against / not agreed to do the third lobe piercing because my lobe is too small and that the piercer went through at a strange angle and through too much skin and cartilage and that they thought it would likely never heal. The piercing had apparently migrated because my body was trying to push it out, so I have finally taken it out. Seemed like a great place, but I won’t be coming back for the piercings for my other ear.

Came here today & got nose piercings & a flat piercing, Ariel was amazing and so patient with the group of us - made me feel so at ease! Lev was amazing at the front desk & gave her honest opinion and advice on jewellery, which we really appreciated!!Go here to get pierced!!!!!!

I cant recommend Ten Tigers more!I got my ears pierced for the first time last week. At first, the symmetry of the two sides seemed a bit off. One ear looked great, but the other was off-centered. Well, I sent them a text, and they got back to me immediately. Just a couple of days later, they fixed the other ear free of charge! I am so happy with the way it looks now!Throughout the experience, the entire staff was very kind, understanding, and enthusiastic. Its clear that they CARE about their customers and doing a good job. So if you are looking to get your first piercing or just a new piercing, then Ten Tigers is the place to go!

I just had my piercings reinstalled. I had to take them out because of an MRI. I like that they are open as early as 11 AM. They were very honest and gentle. I really appreciate that! They also have a really nice selection of high-quality jewelry!

Well to start they were very kind, informative, and the gentlemen that did my ear piercing was extremely detailed, thorough, and quick. I never knew getting a piercing would be such a professional! However they do get very busy and I had made an appointment yet I needed to wait an hour after to be seen. Still an overall great experience, I recommend calling and making sure what there timeline is before you go

Okay so I wrote a review a few weeks ago about my nostril piercing and how great it was, and now I’m writing about the septum piercing I just got two days ago. I scheduled with Gary again, he remembered me which was crazy to me, and he did a fantastic job on my septum piercing just like he did for my nostril! I cannot give enough positive feedback about Ten Tigers. I will only go to them for all of my piercings from here on out. Thank you so much!!!!

I went in for a new piercing and also had time to change out some jewelry on some others. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for in a way that other piercing shops have not. They hyped me up in making my selection and completely set me at ease. I could not recommend a better piercing shop.

Tried to patronize the shop for my birthday and didn’t realize they require appointments to shop and not just for piercing. My mistake. The folks that greeted us were polite and let me know how to book an appointment so I did. There is a $1 fee to book an appointment but you can only use a debit/credit card to do so which is annoying. I saw on the website we could bring someone with us and brought my partner who was going to treat me to jewelry as a birthday gift. I was planning on buying 6 pieces and have them put them in. We assumed that we could come in together but they wouldn’t let him come in! My partner was immediately annoyed because we had just purchased the appointment in front of the employee and obviously we were together but they still didn’t want him in the shop and asked him to wait outside. It was hot and there was no one else in the shop plus there is a bench in there for him to sit. My partner started to walk away out of frustration and I let the person at the shop know that my he was the one who was going to pay. They responded with “oh ok” like that didn’t matter. Unfortunately this situation didn’t work out to anyone’s benefit! I’ve been looking forward to coming here for over 2 years since the pandemic to get my jewelry replaced, was excited support this business and to get some retail therapy. I live in SF and have sent many people here and was really let down. 3 stars because I know this is a good establishment that has done lots of great work on friends and is an LGBTQIA business. It would be greatly appreciated if you would try to be clear about how many customers are actually allowed in the shop to avoid confusion and frustration in the future. Super duper bummed this happened!! Major buzz kill.

Got my bridge pierced here by Tori. She did a perfect job and explained her entire process really thoroughly. I wear glasses and was nervous about it, but she walked through it with me and made sure I would be okay to wear them during healing.The shop is beautiful and clean, and in a great spot. There is no pretentiousness here and I am likely to come back and only get jewelry here to support her!

I went in for my second upper earlobe piercing. The price was steep but you are paying for the QUALITY of their work and products.. I have been to other piercing places where they are cheaper but my piercings got infected. TORI pierced my ears. She was very informative, funny, and thorough. The staff is taking serious protocols due to COVID-19 which I appreciated. Just make sure you ask them to breakdown the price and costs.

Ten Tigers took my wife in with a slight emergency with a piercing we got from another out of town studio. They interrupted their schedule, treated us very kindly, and had us on our way with a minimum of pain and fuss and with great advice. Great people, massive amount of compassion and knowledge.

I got my first industrial piercing here a few weeks back. It was really quick, and when I felt faint, my piercer Gary acted really quickly. Everyone is also super friendly and knowledgeable. Ill definitely be back for more piercings.

Technically, this was a good experience from all points of health and safety. However, baked into their policy is some nickel-and-dime tactics, which left me with a sour taste in my mouth. After paying several hundred dollars, I was directed come back in a few weeks to buy a shorter post for $17. I understand a longer post in an new ear piercing can allow room for inflammation, but why is this price not mentioned in the base price? Why do I have to feel duped into paying even more? Additionally, there was an issue when the back of my new earring easily fell off after a few days. Went back and was scolded for booking a piercing appointment rather than just walking in. I didnt deserve a lesson, especially when the language wasnt clear on how to book a pop-in visit. I left not feeling like a valued customer.

Didnt catch the name of the piercer, but I took my sister here for her first PROFESSIONAL piercing [finally!] and we were so happy. She loved her experience and the cost was great. Thank you again!

They did my septum piercing crooked, citing that I had a deviated septum (they told me it had to be done that way)After doing some research online, I took the piercing out, and went to another piercing studioThe other studio pierced my septum straightI wish Ten Tigers would have just told me they wouldn’t pierce it straight but somebody else could / would

Tori is wonderful and helpful, I really enjoyed going to her each time I have stretched my love piercings. Only gripe I have is that she is a little inconsistent with her open hours. Many times I have come and the sign says open and yet the door is locked. Very frustrating.

Got my septum pierced. The piercer was quick, professional, and answered all my questions. He put in a flipped up retainer while it heals. In a few weeks Ill go back and have it taken out and pick out a new septum ring.
