I found Cleopatra Ink on my Instagram feed one day at home and began scrolling through their tattoos. Really unique work, excellent attention to details. I was looking for a place that had special attention to shading/line-work for my design. I went in for a free consultation and their designer hooked me up with an original piece (couldn’t stop thinking about the tattoo all week). Everyone at Cleopatra is very hospitable, a fun bunch of people all from Turkey. Got some incredible work done in 4 hours that honestly me feel so happy with my choice. Plenty of other ink shops in San Francisco, but I doubt they have the same details - 11/10!

If I could leave 10 stars I most definitely would. Right when we walked into the shop, we were immediately greeted by everyone. Everything was very clean, organized and welcoming. Setting up my tattoo session was a breeze and Anesthesia did the most amazing job! She made sure I was comfortable during the entire process and made sure to give me many break opportunities because we were on a sensitive spot. Professional, friendly AND personable. Needless to say, I’ll be back to visit. (Please tip your tattoo artist btw)

Excellent customer service and expertise! I recommend it to anyone. They listen to your questions and respond to your requests. My kids and I got our turtle tattoos and we are very happy!

Alejandra was amazing as she steered my 5 year old daughter through her first ear piercings. She was calm, cool, and collected and most importantly, kept my daughter so as well. The vibe of the entire studio was great as all staff made my daughter feel like the princess that she is. Thank you all.

Highly recommended. Remzi is a perfectionist his portrait of my late dog is incredible. It was not an easy feat to pull off and he did it flawlessly. Beyond that the shop has great vibes and easy to access their services, they get it done, they work hard and they care about their customers. I am an SF Native so I never expected to end up at the Wharf getting tatted and I am really glad I gave them a chance and I don’t see myself going anywhere else in the future and it was worth every dollar.

I could not be more happy with this amazing shop. The atmosphere was welcoming and very clean. Every staff member was so kind and respectful. They immediately greeted me and offered me a coffee. They listened and made me so comfortable. I came in for a design appointment for my first tattoo. The artist was so professional. He listened to my request and we developed the perfect piece for me. I decided to go ahead and get the piece the same same since they had an opening. I am so happy with my tattoo. I highly recommend this shop, you wont be disappointed.

Everyone here was so so incredible. The entire space was clean and welcoming! We walked right in and sat down and within a few minutes we had our designs stenciled and were sitting getting them! They even touched up some of my older tattoos for me. Incredible service will 1000% recommend!!

Cleopatra Ink SF has the perfect location near Pier 39 and the best staff. From the messages on Instagram to setup consultation and appointment was seamless. We were greeted by lovely young lady whose name I forgot to get but she right away, offered refreshments like, water/tea/coffee. She was super kind. Designer Omer was super efficient and helped us greatly during consult. All the staff made the process so easy and smooth from start to finish. Cansu really helped us and made the experience nice and she was friendly, made the payment process super easy.Our artist Mehmet aka Memo was beyond amazing, super chill and fun guy! Made our Mother and Daughter tattoo experience so awesome, helped us relax by making us laugh. His work is phenomenal!!! Everyone who works there has and does an Excellent Job! So grateful to have gotten our first tattoos there and will continue in the future! We highly recommend Mehmet and his work at Cleopatra Ink SF! ❤️❤️

On my visit to San Francisco (Im from LA) he surprised me with a tattoo. When I entered I said do you have shops in LA? Because I saw advertising all over the internet and wanted to go. Yes they do. Everyone was so kind and offered drinks and chatted while waiting. I really enjoyed myself and loved the way our tattoos came out. Now I want to go back to fix up some older tattoos. And my son is working on a sleeve. Been to many shops over the years and they are favorite.

We came in to the shop to get a tattoo, the guy sat us down and made the tattoo up with photoshop. He was very patient with us critiquing along the way to get it just right. Unfortunately for a 3x3 tattoo was going to cost 600.00. That was out of our price range. When we got up to tell him that we would have to think about it. He was very nice didnt make us feel bad for wasting his time. (We did tip him) over all our experience was very nice.

Don’t walk RUN to Cleopatra ink be shore to ask for Damla she’s got some of the best line work in the city supper talented tattoo artist she will only be here for 2 years so hurry up and book an appointment with her while you can 10 out of 10 everyone @ the shop is good vibes!

I was just walking by when I noticed this tattoo parlor which wasn’t here six months ago when I was last in SF. I got to chat wit Ali and he gave me a flyer. I learned they came from away and the shop is new. After thinking about it a little I decided to come in and have some ink. The tattoo artist assigned for my art was Caglar and he did a beautiful job of the tattoo I requested. Would 100% come back for another one next time I’m around. Also thanks to Cansu for the attention.

My piercer was sooo wonderful! She was quick, efficient, and informative. My friends and I just walked in and were able to be seen right away! This parlour accommodated for any and all requests we had, and were fun to work with. 3 of my other friends were all able to get tattoos same day as well! Amazing service. Recommend to anyone!

This was not my first tattoo experience, but it definitely was the best. Emre was excellent with customer relations and friendly. Remzi was my tattoo artist and his work is phenomenal. I will most certainly come back when I have more ideas of body art for myself, or if anyone ask where to go.

Wonderful experience and very talented artists. I requested a large custom snake tattoo during my free consultation and was delighted to see the draft and was told I would be assigned an artist. The artist was Damla and she crafted a beautiful freehand piece. The session was 11 hours long (2 for crafting custom & 9 spent on tattoo) and the hospitality from the studio was amazing.

My wife went alone to her appointment without consulting me that she was going and it turned out that they would charge her 3000 for her tattoo that according to them would be 6 hours 500 per hour and that she had to leave 1000 as a deposit and she having no experience left the 1000 deposit. When she told me I think it was a very exaggerated price and when we decided to just touch up the tattoo that she had on her shoulder I can put the before and after and they only added a few things and the lines of what they added and the color are not the same. When we arrived there the second time they told my wife that the 1000 that I left as a deposit would be left over because the cost of what they would do to her would be less. And in the end when they finished they told her that the deposit would cover the two hours I think it was very expensive for what they did to her. I would not recommend this place because they do not give a sure price and they take advantage of people. and I will share it with everyone. The tattoo artists I know do not take advantage and give prices that change in the end. Please do not leave so much deposit, it is not worth it.

Extremely rude and unreliable service. I made an appointment for 7PM and drove all the way from San Jose for it and when I walked in no one acknowledged me until I flagged someone down after 15 mins of waiting. None of the employees would even make eye contact with me. They told me to wait for longer and by the time 30 minutes had passed by I asked them when I can expect to be helped and the guy’s exact words were “in 10 minutes, I think”. Absolutely no sense of urgency or apology, walked out without wasting anymore time to take my business somewhere else. Even if you’re a tourist who’s just passing by and gets a spontaneous feeling to get a tattoo, do not go here, there are many other shops on the same street that will provide MUCH better service.

I always find it difficult finding a new artist after moving to a new city, but this shop made me feel comfortable immediately, and I ended up with a great tattoo & experience.Natasha greeted me at the door and was so sweet and cool!Will be coming back(:

I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo w my late husbands handwriting and just happened to walk by this place on vacation. Everyone was nice, knowledgeable and respectful of how important this tattoo was to me. The process was seamless. The artist did a fabulous job. I highly recommend this place!

I’m not one to write bad reviews, but I came to check out this shop and get a consultation. Instantly - red flag as I looked around and saw how unsanitary the artists were being. As a licensed body art practitioner myself in San Mateo county, i noticed that this staff DOESN’T wrap their machines or clip cords here with plastic. SO unhygienic and against the health department rules. I knew I had to leave and not get tattooed here. I went to check their social media and research more.They themselves are posting all these health code violations right to their instagram. Having a braided rope fabric clip cord exposed and grazing the customers open skin and blood is so gross. That cord is going to touch the next customer and you don’t know if the person before you had HIV. These “artists” are not trained in cross contamination. Stations are not wrapped in plastic as you can see in their own social media posts. They have ink bottles and other random stuff sitting on the sterile area. Especially in a big city, this is a sure fire way to infect people. Search up the San Francisco health departments basic body art policies. In California you can get your license revoked if you aren’t wrapping your machine in plastic so that blood doesn’t splatter all over it. Everything you see on their social media everyday is SO against code and honestly gross.Support local tattoo artists/shops!!

I came here with a tattoo in mind, and together with my professional designer friend Ossy, we designed a tattoo model that I really liked. Then Anastassiya drew the tattoo on my arm with great care. The environment was very fun, and I felt very comfortable. Ali Beys treats and pleasant conversation made me feel even better. It was a clean environment, and I spent a very enjoyable time with beautiful songs. I highly recommend it!

Great experience getting my daughter’s ears pierced! Alejandra was the best. My daughter wanted to walk away after one ear and she helped calm her down, gave her time to relax, and was super awesome and helpful getting it done! Love the look and highly recommend!

A place where I had a great time with a professional team. We got a big tattoo for my cousin. We redesigned the tattoo model we chose with Ozi and made it more beautiful, and Anastassiya did the tattoo with great dedication and care. Special thanks to Mr. Ali for his pleasant conversation, kind behavior, and treats. I also got a nose piercing for myself. I came with great fear and indecision, but Alejandras hand was very gentle and very hygienic. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

I won second place in their Instagram giveaway for a $500 tattoo, this one came out to about a $700 value and they did it for me anyway. Environment was very welcoming, the artists are super talented, I felt safe and able to ask for what I needed. This was my second tattoo, first of this size and with color, and the 4 hours went by so quickly. Definitely will be back

I came in as a walk-in and within a couple minutes, I was sat down to a consultation to go over the tattoo idea and cost breakdown. It was a collaborative effort to pick the best design and the whole process was effortless on my part. Super pleased with the work and the environment they have created at Cleopatra Ink SF!

I have a really bad skin allergie which is caused by bad material from piercings, I asked the woman for a titanium navel piercing and she got me one. I trusted her thinking it was real titanium well it was fake and now my skin is all messed up again. Also the price??? $45 for a fake piercing!! Never returning :(

Loved every minute of my experience at this shop!!! Special thanks and gratitude to Damla for not only being an incredible artist and making my tattoo come to life on my sternum, but for also being a pretty amazing human and squeezing me in when she easily could have taken the entire day off! I got my first tattoo at Cleopatra Ink in San Francisco! It was such a big decision but I felt safe and comfortable with the design artist Sibel and my tattoo artist Mike. They didnt pressure me into getting the tattoo and even encouraged me to go home and think about it before making the decision. Sibel is amazing, she has a great eye, creative, and friendly. Mike was recommended for his fine lines and detail work and he didnt disappoint. I couldnt ask for better people to work with for my first tattoo!

I would give this tattooist a score of zero if it was possible. This shop tried scamming me, was quoted $350 on a tattoo that I was quoted £50 in England. The tattoo would have taken 30 minutes maximum to do as it was only small. My half sleeve cost me £300 so why would I pay $350 for a small tattoo. Stay away from this shop.

I stopped by Cleopatra Ink today for a piercing from Vanessa. I got my second piercing and it was quick and painless. Everyone is very sweet and hospitable and I would highly recommend them for the future.

This place is an unprofessional scam. A friend and I came and got our noses pierced and the guy who seems to run the place basically pressured me to leave a review as soon as the needle was done puncturing my nose. Never doing that again since both of our nose piercings fell out within A WEEK! My friends fell out the next day! My friend has also gotten her nose pierced before and was able to recognize that they pierced with the completely wrong jewelry. It had no backing and was barely curved. Of course our newly pierced nose tissue would try and push them out! We called THREE times to try and sort this out. The first time the man said “the piercer isn’t here I don’t know anything about piercing. If it’s our fault we will fix it” the second time we called we asked to speak with the piercer and same thing. We asked for a refund if the piercer did not have the correct jewelry and they said “email us a link to the jewelry you would like”. I’m sorry, isn’t the piercing place supposed to know what jewelry is required for the initial nose piercing?! The third time we called he promised he’d have the piercer call us back tomorrow. NO ONE EVER CALLED. This place does not care at all about their customers. Never once did they apologize for the terrible outcome or offer any solutions. the piercing hurt more than it should have and i paid over 90 dollars. Rotten experience. Never again!!!

Walked in without an appointment and was worked on right away. Got matching tattoos with 2 friends. Would recommend this business to friends and family.

I called the tattoo shop back in January for a consultation and to make a booking for a tattoo. Everyone seemed pretty nice during the consultation but unlike any tattoo shop I had ever been in. After the consultation we agreed on a price of $300 (which seemed high to me) for 4 small finger tattoos. I figured why not, I’m on vacation and it would be memorable. When I finally got to my appointment at 5pm (consult was at 12pm) I told the artist that I only wanted 3 of the 4 tattoos and she said that was fine. When my fingers were finished being tattooed I was happy at the time with the outcome. I went up to the register and paid what seemed like a manager? I told the manager that I only got 3 out of the 4 tattoos done and he said it didn’t matter and that I had to pay the same price ($300) that we had agreed on earlier. This obviously made me upset in the moment but there was nothing I could do. Fast forward a few days and most of the ink had completely fallen out of the tattoos. By this point, I was back in my home state and was no longer in San Fran. I contacted the shop and asked them to refund my money as I will have to get these tattoos redone elsewhere. They told me via instagram messaging that they wanted to make me happy and make the situation right. After communicating back and forth for a week they stopped all contact with me and no one reached out to me or offered a refund as I was promised. I have tons of tattoos all over my body and have never had a tattoo turn out this way. I would avoid this shop as they’re not there for you or how your tattoo looks and the customer service is really unacceptable, especially for a tattoo studio where ink is buried under skin to produce art. Can’t believe I lost $300 for this.

Such a great experience ! I was visiting SF for the weekend, when I happened to pass by this location. This tattoo studio is not the typical tattoo shop you are used to seeing. The design of this place is very intriguing and invites you in. I wanted a small tattoo with a great meaning. The tattoo designers are so talented. Emre was able to create the cutest design for me all while going above and beyond and putting me the customer first. I definitely have never had such a luxurious experience at a tattoo studio and I’ve been to many all of the US. My tattoo artist was extremely precise and skilled. He was very informative regarding the after care. I can’t wait to visit Cleopatra Ink San Francisco once again!

I will never come back to this place. I came here hoping to get pierced and there was a woman helping me make an appointment. While I was there, a very rude white woman came out and violently yelled at the receptionist. The fact that no one stepped up for her was alarming and honestly disgusting. The entire staff needs some race sensitivity training, especially when Black people are on staff. Watching a white woman threaten to punch a Black coworker in the face and no one say anything is WILD and DISGUSTING. This place’s management needs to step up. I will never let this woman, whose name I found out was VANESSA, come anywhere near my body! Zero stars to be honest.

My wife recently had the best experience with getting a tattoo and the story of how I ended up there was so unexpected! we was out walking one day and stumbled across a tattoo shop we had never seen before. The guy at the entrance was so friendly and welcoming, and he immediately convinced me and my wife to go in and get a tattoo.

I can absolutely recommend it! Lovely people, competent artists, cool designs. I felt very comfortable and didnt even have an appointment.

I came in hoping to get some help/ask some questions about my piercings. Vanessa immediately came to my help and answered every single question I had. She is very nice and friendly!My snake bites were irritated and she let me know immediately and gave answers to my problems. She gave me more tips on how to take care of my snake bites and was overall super helpful. She helped me take out my snake bites and plans to try to help me out as much as she can with my issues. Would recommend going to her for any piercing related thing!I’m planning on going back next week since she was amazing. Hopefully I can get my snake bites put back in/repierced once the irritation goes away.

Came here to get a tattoo to commemorate the end of the year. During my consultation i worked with paco who was very helpful until i asked about pricing, thats when him and the older guy started talking in another language while gesturing at me. they had a whole conversation after which i was given an outrageous price for my tattoo. I felt like i was being taken advantage of. This experience was uncomfortable to say the least. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re okay with everyone speaking in a language you don’t understand in front of you

This shop reached out to me requesting help due to the fact that they were severely understaffed during their opening week. Being that Ive been in this trade for 13 years, the worlds largest tattoo company couldnt pay my asking percentage... So I sent over one of my piercers and another tattooer to lend a helping hand for this shop and their opening...In turn they payed a much more below average percentage (w/ an hourly wage) and continued to encourage my artists to leave my shop and relocate for a shop that promises much more than they can deliver... Needless to say my people did NOT even receive minimum wage and one was shorted on their small cut, because they want to use zelle to pay you when they feel like it....(BEWARE ANY TATTOOER LOOKING FOR WORK, AT A LEGIT TATTOO SHOP)This spot is not it!!!Just ask them about their turnaround rate on tattooers/employeesI personally lost out on time and money by sending my personal people out, just for this shopto promise false wages.AVOID ANY GUEST SPOTS!(Tips are split, like a restaurant, and you wont get paid out from that ether)C/SI have some pics of the my last conversations with one of the supposed managers Ferhat, before he stopped responding. The business ethics and morals there is practically non-existent....

I didnt schedule a tattoo yet, but everyone there seems really kind, communicative, and knowledgeable. Once I save up some more money Ill definitely be making an appointment to get a consultation/drawing prepped! I highly recommend them 🥰

Dont go here unless you enjoy being rushed and not taken seriously.I walk into the salon with my partner, an artist comes up; he quickly sits me down on the couch with a computer. I already had my tattoo idea on my phone, so I AirDropped him my design. He spent about 5 minutes with me photoshopping the design onto a picture of my arm, he then quoted me $400 for the tattoo and eagerly asked for the payment.(I know San Francisco prices are high, but I personally thought $400 for a tattoo about 0.5 inches tall and 2 inches long was a little too much). This tattoo is very meaningful to me, so I didnt hesitate and sent over the money. I also had to pay the tip BEFORE getting the tattoo. The artist then told me to come back in about 30 minutes to an hour, giving him time to draw the stencil. Perfect, no problems yet.THIS is where my entire experience was RUINED. I come back after an hour like I was told, and MY artist is sitting with another client drawing up a design for them. The secretary(I assume) Natasha, comes up to me to say that another artist will be doing my tattoo. I look and see the second artist is setting up his chair and getting ready. Hes taking his time to set up the chair, which eases my nerves and makes me believe he will be thorough with my tattoo. Then the first artist calls my new artist over(I dont know their names, they never introduced themselves to me) to look over a design for the new client. My new artist sees their design and his mood instantly changes for the worse. He calls me over to sit on the chair and applies the stencil to my arm. I ask to see it in the mirror and call my mom given that Im getting this tattoo for her and want her to be pleased with it. I take 20 SECONDS to take a look, and the artist rolls his eyes and says faster please. I was taken aback, I needed this placement to be perfect and weve only spent about ONE MINUTE on it, and Im already getting rushed???I ask to see a bigger size of the design to compare, the artist rolls his eyes again and goes to get the stencil, which he already threw in the trash. He puts it on me, I get up again to look in the mirror, not even 10 seconds pass and he has started throwing a tantrum trying to convince my partner to tell me to speed up. The artist turns to me and says come on hurry I have other clients to get to and points to the other customer getting the design drawn WHO CAME TO THE SALON AFTER ME. Mind you, other than me and the other customer, they had ZERO clients, the place was empty.By now, I am past the point of wanting the tattoo. In only 3 minutes, the artist went from 0-100 and I no longer felt safe or respected by his presence. I felt scared, I couldnt get many words out and the artist stood up and walked over to his coworkers and started complaining about me in I assume Turkish, while looking back at me and my partner. He didnt say ANYTHING to me after that, Natasha is the one who came over to try and resolve the situation. Natasha is the sweetest one in that entire salon, if it isnt for her Im sure this place would have more bad reviews.Moral of the story: this artist(male, long black hair tied in a ponytail, with medium sized gages in his ears) was willing to do my tattoo UNTIL he saw the other customer had a bigger, more expensive tattoo. So he wanted to get mine done as fast as possible so he could be the one to work on theirs. I assume because he saw my appearance(a small 23 year old girl), he thought he could get away with having a terrible character and I wouldnt say anything. They WERE NOT BUSY, so why is it that he had to hurry? If you have little time, simply do not tell me to come at a specific time and then not take me. COMPLETELY unprofessional. A tattoo is permanent, its normal for a client to want to play around with the placement. You can see in the photo, he placed the stencil completely crooked, imagine if I had THAT the rest of my life? Childish and unprofessional behavior, Im surprised hes STILL in this field with his ridiculous attitude. I wont be coming back.

Tl;dr - They have a new supervisor and new permanent artists. Damla is so incredibly talented and Im equally incredibly happy with my turtle tattoo.---Sincerely a night and day set of experiences from when I got my tattoo with Damla and when I met with a different artist a couple months ago.I had a discouraging experience after paying a deposit and had left a review that I thought was both honest and fair. The previous manager/artist had offered me a choice between getting the original design at a discount or getting a full refund for removing the review. I didnt want to make anyone work for less than they deserve, so I asked if I could get a new design for the deposit I had paid and they refused. They said my only option was a refund, and I honestly had ZERO intention of removing my previous review. And now I have. Because New people came in and did an amazing job and dont deserve to be linked with negative previous reviews.I was traveling and by the time I got back to go in for a refund, there was a new supervisor who met with me. I was told that artist and manager had left, but a new artist could do the same design for my deposit. I declined again, and after reading the review, he and their artist Damla said theyd be happy to do a different design for what I had already paid. Her work is so beautiful and I loved the design she showed me.The supervisor came over multiple times to check in and assure me that if I wanted a different tattoo or to add something on it wouldnt be a problem. His top priority was making sure his customers leave happy.Damlas fine line work is precise and her application was as gentle as it could be so there was never a worry that any of it would go too deep and scar wrong (its a small tattoo).

Came in here on my honeymoon and got a little writing done. Most artists scoff at the idea of doing any type of scribe but they took the whole experience very professionally. Well sanitized area and they take pride in their work!

BEWARE of this shop! First off, if I could give this place zero stars, I would. Gordon Ramsay should have a show called Ink Nightmare with how horrific this place is. They are THEIVES. How can any business have the audacity of STEALING from an employee?!! I saw my tattoo artists machine being used after she reported it being lost. How interesting. She is the only person there who used a pink tattoo machine. If you go there and see that machine, just know that it is stolen property. REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE!!! I came here with my friend when they got pierced by Vanessa and she was definitely drunk and messed up my friend’s piercing, I tried to tell a manager and they brushed it off. I also saw her yell at another employee and the manager did nothing.

Went here for a consultation with my wife for her Tattoo.Pros-Consultation was quick and easy to book-Space was pretty niceCons-Tattoo concepts consist of an Ipad and Image searching on Google, then an overlay on your body.-Whoever was consulting with us was distracted.Trying to take care of us and another customer who had a issue with an appointment they had that day.All in all the experience was meh.For something thats going to be on your body for a lifetime, I would expect undivided attention at consultation.If this was happening on consultation, I would hate it to happen during the actual tattoo pinning date.

I would NOT get a piercing here!I went in to get two piercings, my rook, and tragus. The man seemed very nervous, and I got an off vibe that he had never done this before. I asked, and they said yes for him because he didnt speak or understand English.He did my rook first, and he struggled with three different closing ends dropping,losing them. He finally got one on, thinking it was legit, to find out later the day it fell off!Here is my HUGE issue! He needled my tragus, and the plastic tube fell out. So then he flipping needled me again, not using the same hole! He gave me a second hole but barley through just enough to draw blood! I looked and clearly two holes and no tube or piercing in it!! Then they both tried to deny and tell me it wasnt two holes! I got needled twice and no piercing! Looked at it myself and had my husband look at it in person there. I was almost in tears! That man did not know what he was doing! I did get my money back for the tragus but left with two open holes in my ear!! Was supposed to be a fun, enjoyable day out, and got tears, uneeded pain, and extra bloody holes in my ear!
