Ariel created a friendly and engaging environment. She did an amazing job my tattoo as well. The Mission Ink Tattoo supporting staff was super friendly and helpful. Their second location is bright and beautiful. Loved it.

Loved the shop aesthetic as a whole! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Had Salome for the piercing I wanted. The first time around with a different shop and a different time wasn’t great so I was a bit nervous but I’m very happy that I was able to have Salome as my piercer, the yelp reviews about her had me convinced already and she is experienced. She was very sweet, friendly, thorough, and honest. Soft touch, quick and relatively painless which I appreciated. Would definitely go back to her for my next piercing !

I found this place through an online friend who got a tattoo by one of the artists. I ended up liking the styling and reached out. Throughout the booking process they were both quick and considerate with my limitations of availability evening reaching out to the tattoo artist who stayed later to accommodate my time restrictions work.Arriving they were super nice in helping me through the process as it was my first tattoo and to say while both excited was also a little nervous. Guilherme came out and greeted me then showed me the design and we discussed the size and placement; I was beyond happy at what ended up coming out for the design. He explained the process did a test line and 2 hours later i have this amazing tattoo. He was super nice, the place was clean as they should be and was great to chat with through the process.What is also kind of funny is Im already thinking about the next one i want to get. For holding off so long till i found that right one, Im happy this place was able to fulfill that need. If I come back out here again, it will definitely the shop and person i want to tattoo meGuilherme was amazing with the idea / concept and bringing it to a piece of art I will enjoy showing off once healed up

I’ve had a helix piercing done by Jake and several flash tattoos by Ariel…so far. Will be back!Jake was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable during our appointment. From picking the jewelry, curating my piercing, and getting it done — Jake was a complete professional who made me feel comfortable and well cared of. He was also helpful with the after care info.Ariel is a badass at her craft. It was nearly impossible to narrow my favorites to even just TEN of her flash designs and we somehow got it down to four for my session with her. (With more to come in the future.) Scheduling time with her is easy since she’s quick to respond and I had such a great time chatting with her, the time flew! Highly recommend checking her stuff out and booking with her! Especially if you like butts.

Guilherme was awesome. This was my first tattoo and he made me feel relaxed, safe, and let me know that if I needed a break I could take one. He did an amazing job and let me know what to expect. I want a bigger piece on my right arm and would def travel to sf to have him draw/tattoo it. Recommend him 100%. The rest of the staff was also 10/10. From the receptionist being super nice and helpful to the piercer helping me find the perfect jewelry for my nose and the other artists being welcoming and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I LOVE this studio! Such a cozy layout and nice and quiet. The artists and staff were so nice, down to earth, and amazing with accommodations and recommendations. I got tattoo’d by Rigers, and it was probably the best tattoo experience I’ve had. Professional, quick, and healing very nicely with no bruising. Will absolutely be coming back.

Had a great experience with Mission Ink. Got my ears pierced as a walk in. Very friendly staff and quick and easy piercing. Love the tattoo Ariel designed for me. Was my first one and she made it easy and enjoyable. Neat studio, very clean.

***UPDATE***: I went in today for a correction. Jake was careful, methodical, and got me the exact results I was hoping for. Very happy I went in and thankful to Mission Ink for promptly correcting the mishap.I am deeply disappointed by the placement of my piercing. Everything else was fantastic: the conditions were sanitary, the piercer was nice enough, and it was about as painless of a piercing as possible. I came into the meeting prepared: I had a doctor measure my other piercing and mark where she should pierce. The piercer even had my other already pierced ear for reference. The piercing is very low and multiple people have commented that it’s clearly too low. It’s very confusing and surprising how this could’ve happened given clear instructions. I am shocked and would never come back here again.

Really good experience as a walk in. (They are usually appt based) I got a navel piercing and it didn’t hurt at all. Salome was my piercer and she was amazing and also reassured me about almost everything.

I went in wanting to get my septum pierced but Salome told me that she wasn’t comfortable doing it because that part of my nose was a little too high up, I believe. That automatically made me comfortable(having someone who doesn’t want to either mess up/have it look crooked, what have you).We went over other piercings I could get and I settled on both nostrils. She was very calm, professional, and knowledgeable. I’m satisfied to say the least 🥰

Mission ink is a Great tattoo and piercing shop. I showed up as a walk in and I was helped right away everyone was super friendly shop was clean my tattoo was done super fast. I highly recommend this shop! I have already booked another appointment in 2 weeks to get a cover up

I came as a walk in first thing at 12. They were very kind and told me to wait for the piercer to come so I did. Once she got here, she was very kind and answered all my questions. I got a nose piercing and was feeling a little nervous since it was my first time. She made me feel very calm and reassured. Once she began the procedure she was very careful and thorough . It was quick and didn’t really hurt. Once I knew it was all done and I had my nose piercing. Thank you Salome!

Had to get my helix piercing redone after it was pierced wrong by a different person in Nevada. Salomé pierced me and they were very kind/ good suggestions, came out very well. Would come again 😁 (The blue jewelry is the one done at Mission Ink).

I had an amazing experience. I came from Sacramento and I went for a walk in. I got snake bites and received excellent service. It was a very short wait and the workers took a lot of care into making sure all equipment and the environment was very sanitary. The workers were supportive and kind and helped me mentally and physically prepare myself for the piercing and it greatly helped the process go smoothly and without fear. And the piercings were beautifully placed, I wouldn’t change a thing.Do be aware before going that they only take payment through Venmo and Zelle. 10 out of 10 would recommend lol

I decided last minute I wanted a little tattoo while in the neighborhood. The team was friendly, efficient and Guillerme was so good and fun while I was getting my tattoo. I felt absolutely comfortable and calm and my tattoo is healing incredibly well and looks perfect. Very happy with my experience there.

Got my first (3) tattoos by G. Absolutely love how they came out, he was very kind and I felt the space was clean and comfortable. I am content with my experience here, and would recommend it!! :)

Mission ink was very friendly and accommodating. There was a confusing mishap with my appointment time, even though I scheduled and checked in many times to confirm my appointment it wasn’t in the system when I got there. I was rescheduled for later the same day and compensated and the piercing itself went very quickly and smoothly. It didnt hurt much and Salomé did a great job of checking in with me during the whole process. Just a few hours later it doesn’t hurt at all, though it hasn’t swollen up yet so I’ll have to see. Overall, good experience

My little sister came here for her first ear piercing appointment and she was assisted by Jake. He was informative but also very passive aggressive and short. Not to mention the pricing is ridiculous. She got the smallest size stud and they were $110 plus a $60 piercing fee, plus a $14 cleaner , plus tax, spending over $200 for her first basic piercing. Would not recommend anyone going here unless you want to pay a ridiculous price.

Went to get a plus size naval piercing. Jake was my piercer. He was amazing 10/10 highly recommend he literally pierced my naval in 1.5 seconds I barely felt any pain nor after. Still no pain or issues the following day.

Had a smooth, seamless experience piercing my 8-year-old daughter’s earlobes here. Salomé performed the piercing and she was patient and understanding with my daughter. Chachi was also comprehensive and excellent when we were settling up with the after-care instructions.

Jake was helpful, professional and super quick. Even tinted my new green studs gold to match in with my other jewelry!

Salome was great with my 15 year old daughter. Listened to her and answered her questions and told her step by step what she was doing. There was confusion about my appt time and was not told I needed her birth certificate but luckily I had it in my phone and it all worked out. Thank you Salome! Shes very happy with her piercing.

Came in for a nostril piercing on their walk in day. I waited a few minutes and filled out the consent form online. I was then met with my piercer Jake who was professional in getting everything ready and walking me through the piercing. It was pierced in less than 5 minutes and was told the after care process. In general it was a great experience and the customer derive was excellent from the front desk and my piercer.

Ariel was amazing such a fun conversation and great tattoo experience! My partner and I are visiting San Francisco and wanted to get tattoos, so happy we found this place. We got to get some awesome tattoos and make a great memory. On our next trip up here well definitely be revisiting to get more done in the future!Im a tattoo newbie and Ariel was super patient with me and let me stretch out and readjust whenever I needed and took pauses when the pain was a little too much for me.

I got a rook and conch piercing in the same ear. Jake was great! I walked in with no appointment and he was able to get me in that moment. Very reassuring and knowledgeable; he made sure the piercings would work on my ear and told me how they would look before we proceeded. Both piercings were super easy and didn’t hurt. Highly recommend!

I have gotten 3 tattoos from G at this place. He does a fantastic job. His artwork is beautiful and detailed but quick as well. I have included a photo of my owl tattoo he did that he got done in about an hour! The whole place is very professional and well-ran. I would highly recommend Mission Ink and especially G.

I got my eyebrow piercing yesterday! The staff were very friendly & understanding. Salomé was the one that did my piercing, they were super gentle & friendly. Salomé also made sure my piercing was positioned perfectly which I really appreciated that they took the time & effort to do so. I really liked my experience there, will definitely come back for another piercing!

The front desk&artists my friends and I met today were one of the sweetest people! We found the shop through google while making our drive to SF and were sold immediately by their review rates (also their website gave us individual portfolios/hours for each artist). We decided to check the place out and possibly set up appointments or inquire about walk-ins. The front desk (didn’t get the opportunity to ask her name but she was a delight) informed us that they do accept walk-in and could reach out to their artist right away. We took the offer! Let’s just say G or Guilherme was quick to help us get the tattoos we wanted. They even got Ariel to do my buddy’s tattoo. We were all so happy with the end results and as tourist would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mission Ink Tattoo! They kept the energy lively and inviting. Don’t pass up on this place. GOOOOOO!

This spot is my go-to for piercings. Great selection of surgical/titanium metal piercings. You will engage with your piercer prior to undergoing your procedure as she wants to be sure that you step out of the shop with a quality addition to your body. It stands to reason that I wouldnt waste my time anywhere else.

I had a great experience getting tattooed by Guilherme. It was my first time and he was so warm and welcoming! Love the way my tattoo turned out. Ill definitely be recommending this place to people!

Had a horrible piercing experience in 2021. I had gotten a conch done at a different shop a couple months prior that was healing smoothly and decided to get a rook and helix at Mission Ink on same ear. The rook was extremely painful and the piercer (Salomé I believe) had SO MUCH trouble getting the jewelry in. With all the fuss it took to install the rook jewelry, she ended up pushing my conch piercing into my ear. I am not kidding. Skin was literally covering the front of my conch. She made a comment about how I should get that looked at because it looked like a serious injury and tried to blame the other piercing shop I had gone to for doing a bad job. This baffled me because I walked into Mission Ink with a beautiful conch piercing that up until that point had been healing great, she was clearly the one who injured me.I spend the next 1.5-2 years diligently taking care of my piercings (no touching, no sleeping on my side, no earbuds, saline spray 2x a day, etc etc) however these piercings NEVER HEALED. They looked so bad that another shop I had look at them questioned if I had autoimmune issues because they were healing so poorly. My rook ended up rejecting (pushed to the surface of my ear). I gave up on the helix as well at about the 2 year mark. Ive had them out for at least 6 months (probably longer) and still have very noticeable scars.I have a helix in my other ear that I had no problem healing so I cant help but question the skill of the piercer who caused all this to happen. Would not recommend. Horrible.Edit:got pierced 12/18/21. As for not reaching out after it happened, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with a place that, in my personal experience, was unprofessional and caused damage to my ear. I instead went to a different shop to have the issues regarding my conch looked at. I am writing this review three years later because it tells a full story. I got piercings here that never healed properly and left scars after years of diligent aftercare. Judging by the horrible experience of getting the piercings themselves, it is not unreasonable to assume the lack of healing could have partially been due to the piercer (for example, incorrect placement-- fyi my bf got his lobes pierced also on 12/18/21 and they came out noticeably uneven). I would just like my experience to be known by the public!

Went in to see about getting my ears redone. Was told it would be close to $300. Said I had to think about it. We started talking and Jake wanted to look at my ears after he said that they were not closed all the way so got them done for $119. Recommend to anyone. Super friendly, super clear very professional. Only thing they dont take plastic or phone payments.

My friend and I spontaneously decided to get a piercing. Consequently, we had no time to inform ourselves about the whole procedure upfront. Jake was incredibly patient with us and informed us thoroughly. We are both more than satisfied with the experience and the result.

Two stars because they were kind and refunded our money - But the actual experience was not OK. I took my 18-year-old daughter to get a septum piercing. She came out and it was noticeably crooked - the girl at the front counter tried to downplay the severity of it, and told us to come back when it was healed if it was still crooked. I explained that we did not live in the area. The piercer came out and recognized how crooked it was, offered to redo it. I couldn’t believe that my daughter was willing to go through that pain again, but she agreed. It was still crooked on the second piercing. :(We ended up finding a piercer closer to our house who redid it, and it is straight and perfect. I am thankful they refunded our money, but it was not a great experience.

I got a tattoo there by Guilherme during my holidays.I asked him a few days before my arrival in San Francisco and got an appointment very easily and uncomplicated. I sent him an approximate template of my tattoo wish and Guilherme adapted it for me according to my wishes. I am very satisfied with his work, the end result is simply amazing!! The studio is very professional and the price-performance ratio is also completely ok. When Im back in the area, Ill definitely come by again.

I spent 6 hours on the couch at Oleksandrs, and the result is breathtakingly good. Oleksandr was very focused and personable! The price-performance ratio is absolutely top-notch! Amanda was amazing! She did a beautiful job on my tattoo. She worked with me ahead of time and subtly updated the design I wanted to make it a better tattoo, while maintaining fidelity to the original artwork. She made me feel comfortable and continually checked in with me to see if I needed a break while we were working (it was an inner bicep tattoo; fingers tend to get tingly after a while).And Mission Ink is a great studio! Awesomely decorated, clean and comfortable place. All of the staff I saw and interacted with were friendly and helpful. 10/10 would get inked here again 🤘

I got my nose piercing here as a walk-in. I came earlier in the day on a Saturday and to save me the wait, they scheduled me in for a few hours later. The process was quick and easy and the staff were super helpful. I’ve been following the cleaning instructions they gave me and so far no infections. I’d definitely come back for more piercings if I ever decide to get more.

We came in from out of town so the initial planning happened over the phone. The staff was phenomenal with getting us an appointment and a quote.The second we walked in we were warmly greeted and had a wonderful conversation with the staff as we waited for our appointment.Amanda was our artist. She is amazingly talented & I am so glad we got the chance to work with her. Definitely visiting her creative mind again next time we are in the San Francisco Area! Amanda did an amazing job with my first tattoo! I am still in the healing process as I just recently added this lovely flower lady to my life (and my ribcage), but I love her so much already! Considering it was my first tattoo experience, I was fairly nervous about everything, from reaching out and to, later, the actual process (I heard plenty of stories of pain), but Amanda was compassionate, kind, and warm, which relieved any anxieties. I am so happy I found Amanda and definitely plan on reaching back out to her at Mission Ink when Im ready for the next! All of the staff I encountered were welcoming and inviting. The location was beautiful, comfy, and clean. I know there are some reviews with concerns about the surrounding area, but even though I, myself, am usually and understandably weary of walking around cities alone, I had no problem parking in the nearby garage and walking to Mission Ink with a sense of safety on my own (for anyone with any similar or related concerns).All-in-all, what a great experience, truly deserving of all 5 stars and an honest review (I usually dont review places, generally speaking). Had a really great experience here! staff was super friendly and my piercings turned out perfect. i got a couple of lip piercings and Jake was super thorough in making sure i liked the placement, and was careful to ensure they were comfortable and positioned safely on the inside as well. definitely will be coming back here :)

Lovely experience! Took my valentine on a date here to get our ears pierced together, super cool location and they were super nice! A bit pricey but definitely worth it if you’re looking for a comfortable safe spot 🤩✨

Aside from the fact that I paid 3 bills for 4 letters on two fingers in twenty minutes, for my first ink the work done was clean and fast. Not rushed. Im super pleased with how they turned out. Would definitely return and recommend to others and just because my cheap self didnt like the price at all, I can say their prices are fair, just wish they had a price listing for like letters. Like if you are getting initials. I think 35 bucks a letter up to 3 letters would be a great price or deal and I feel that would be more than fair for the artist doing the work and the persons getting the work done. All in all it was a great experience for my first tattoo and I am very pleased with the results.

(Review is for help with an irritated piercing) I accidentally snagged one of my ear piercings and Mission Ink got me in right away on a Sunday evening and quickly figured out how to treat what felt like a pretty dire situation (I thought it was infected and needed to be removed). With Sashas advice, my piercing is doing fine only a few days later, and Ill be happy to go back again soon for either a new piercing or new jewelry!

Got a labret and a belly button piercing and they both healed perfectly. My piercer was super nice and helpful! Would go again for a tattoo if I still lived in the area!

Jake did my belly button piercing less than 5 minutes starting from the minute I entered the piercing room WITH EASE. I never say this about piercings ever but I had no idea it even happened; that’s how painless it was!

I found Mission Ink thorough some TikTok post and decided to give them a try. Overall, great experience. My husband and I were in town and decided to get matching finger tattoos. The staff who helped were amazing and despite the shop closing soon after we arrived they were still willing to fit us in. Diego did our tattoos and was great, clean and professional. I absolutely love how they turned out. If I’m ever back in the city and need another tattoo I will definitely be going back to Mission Ink.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced. Friendly staff. My daughter was extra comfortable. Def go back again.

They are so chill and never make you feel rushed as you go through the process on the design you ultimately end up choosing. Ariel was so patient and had great suggestions that led to the one -

I enjoyed the studio’s atmosphere and everyone working there was nice. They took me and my friends pretty last minute so I appreciate their flexibility. However, our tattoos were far too expensive for how poor the quality was. I have many tattoos, but the pain I experienced during this session was far worse than any of the tattoos I’ve gotten at other studios. I noticed shortly after the session that I had some really noticeable blowout in most of the line work. My friends also had really bad blowout. Our artist, Oleksandr, was late to our appointments and was way too heavy handed. It was very disappointing.

We went to Mission Ink Tattoo & Piercing to get my 16 year old sons ears pierced. We were very happy with all of the service and communication. Everything was extremely clean, care was taken to ensure age and parental consent were in order, and Jake was very meticulous about the process of piercing his ears. My son hardly said owe for both, and was really happy with the whole process. We will absolutely go there again!

Guilherme did a spectacular job with my wife and I. We get a new tattoo whenever we take a trip, and this shop is one of our favorites. He was respectful and funny, and made sure we were comfortable with the process. His work is top notch, and he will make sure that the piece will come out awesome. Highly recommend!

My sister and I both loved Mission Ink tattoo artists and planned to get matching tattoos there. She died before we could. Instead of getting one with her, I would be getting one for her. I cannot express how genuinely kind Jen and Tatiana were while scheduling and organizing the appointments. After meeting with Bruno and seeing his work I happily agreed to the session — and I will forever be grateful for it! Bruno gave me an absolutely beautiful tattoo that accurately symbolizes the connection I felt/feel with my sister. His work is flawless, detailed, and just so damn lovely that I tear up every time I look at my arm. He also has a wonderful heart and is a great partner for a six hour sitting. I had a great experience here! Ive come in twice without an appointment and both times I wanted a smallish tattoo (about 2 inches tall). The staff are all friendly, and the artists are flexible and work with you to design a tattoo you really love. I definitely recommend coming in with reference pictures! Prices are pretty good for sf.

I stopped by to get my belly button repierced and the entire experience was wonderful. I was greeted upon entering the tech that actually did the repiercing was very gentle and professional. She really eased my nervousness. Highly recommend with such great care and service.

Piercer was pretty unprofessional and dismissive. When she marked where my ears would be pierced, I told her they looked off balance, with one further out than the other. She said oh don’t worry it’ll look fine once the jewelry is in, trust me I know what I’m doing. Well, once the jewelry was in it looked just as uneven, and one was going through at a different angle than the other.

Had a great experience with Blue. Shop has a good vibe. Dont hesitate to book here.

I was visiting SF for my birthday weekend and made an appointment for a piercing. They were responsive on Yelp and calls to book an appointment. Solomé was super accommodating with me and my group of friends. She provided honest and reliable opinions. We all felt very well taken care of and highly recommend Solomé and the establishment!

I was a walk-in customer, and they were extremely flexible and willing to accommodate me. The front desk staff member was friendly and helpful, and the actual piercing was done with professionalism and ease. The piercer had a large amount of experience, and I did not feel significant pain during the procedure. I am satisfied with my visit and recommend this business.

Skilled and steady hand, clean facilities, and super friendly staff. Ill be hitting them up every year when I come through for work.

UPDATES BELOW!first review: I was pierced (for a second time) by Salomé; shes excellent at what she does ! very easy and smooth process2021 update : got a third piercing, this time on my left nostril. loving it!2024 update: this ones gonna be long..i got pierced by Jake for the first time last week. day-of went pretty well!he misgendered me ( i dont take it too personally but my pronouns were included on the piercing form..), he was overall friendly and communicative throughout our session, i tipped accordingly. it was my 3rd time getting a vertical labret piercing— my first one ended up being very off-center, and the second one was great and had healed but started getting very irritated by my frequent bong usage at the time lmaoo So i chose bong-rips over keeping it ;u;After this recent 3rd piercing i went about my day, did a saline soak and showered+washed the piercing site per the given aftercare instructions, then went to sleep. Woke up around 4am with lots of swelling+blood drying around piercing site.did another soak and gently wiped off the blood and rinsed, then went back to sleep.Later in the morning I contacted Jake about my piercing and we arranged for me to come by same-day to upsize my jewelry.It was an unpleasant and very painful experience. When I came by, he didnt ask me anything and started off debunking piercing myths he assumed I was in belief of. (Perhaps he was shifting any blame for a probable cause of the excessive bleeding being that the bar he used was much too short for the amount of swelling that occurred.)Next he proceeded to saline spray + clean off the newer accumulated dried blood VERY ROUGHLY.I get needing to apply pressure to get everything off, but the quickness and roughness he was using was unnecessary and extremelyy painful to my already bleeding/swollen piercing. The difference in communication and kindness from the initial session to the day after was quite drastic; I have never experienced such lack of care from any piercer (let alone body worker). Felt like the piercing equivalent to if a tattoo artist were to continually dry-wipe your tattoo and then scrape their nails into the newly shaded portions to get any excess/dried ink off. Imagine..???After he swapped out the jewelry for a longer bar he said i was good to go, but i was close to fainting and let him know. thankfully he brought me a glucose pack & water which helped, and then continued to debunk tattoo myths. he did not bother to ask how i was doing. i was feeling strong enough to leave soon after, said a quick thank you for the service and jewelry inclusion and was on my way.i removed the jewelry yesterday. the swelling had gone down but the placement was looking off-center, and is still kinda seeming so even though the initial stencil markings had been visibly centered. its possible bc my face b asymmetric as many faces are. regardless, im fine having the results of that recent unpleasant experience out.before upsize & after removal photos included- TW BLOOD.in short:my past experiences at Mission Ink have been 5/5 and wonderful , but will not be getting pierced by Jake again.

Guilherme did a very good job on the cherry blossom tattoo. The colors are beautiful, he did a very good job. The staff are very kind.

Did a walk in since I was getting a basic tattoo anyone can do, should have looked at his work before. I got C’est La Vie on my arm and since it was small, he rushed it, and the letters aren’t even the same size, it goes big to little. Luckily it still looks good from a distance, but I have that on me permanently and he drew blood. I have many tattoos, I’ve never bled like that before. Never going there again.

While on a work trip a friend and I decided to get small pieces while out here. From time i walked in everyone at shop was super nice and professional made you feel welcomed to be there. My artist Olex was great and made my on the fly piece better then i planned.

Went to get my ears pierced and our piercer Salomé was great! She was friendly and so helpful when we were deciding on our piercings. There was also an incident before our appointment and she handled it in a calm and professional manner. Definitely will be back for more piercings 😊

As a beginner to the basics of going into a tattoo/piercing shop, I was confronted with the most warm welcome from Jake and the curly haired person that was sitting on the desk. I felt very safe being under the care of jake and I will hope to come here soon for other body projects. Super reasonably priced offers and will always have a 5 stars in my book!

I got my conch piercing done by Jake , he is a complete expert and he made sure to let me know everything about the piecing before going into it , that really put me at ease. The piercing itself was smooth, quick and clean. Guess what, now I am here about to book a second appointment with him to get my other ears conch pierced.

My entire experience with Mission Ink Tattoo was excellent. Extremely fast response time with scheduling my appointment via email. My artist, Bankcy, was incredibly talented and respectful. Had two ideas drawn up for me with different sizes. He was very thorough and especially clean with his station. My sister and I both got tattoos and had a wonderful experience. Will definitely come back in the future. I love my new tattoo and the awesome design he came up with!

I had an amazing experience at Mission Ink with Salomé. She made me feel comfortable and was very nice throughout the whole process. I got my naval piercing by salomé and she was amazing. She was super friendly and very helpful. She made me feel safe and comfortable the whole way through. It was quick, didn’t hurt badly at all and looks amazing. Zak was there to watch and he was super friendly as well. The entire staff gave nothing but great vibes and made my experience wonderful. It also was way quicker than I thought it would take (about 40min). Definitely would recommend.

Got a ear piercing and it was quick and easy. However, a ear piercing was more pricey than I expected (inflation?) and actually waited 45mins for a walk-in (not sure if thats normal for a weekday). Also, I wish the front desk was more detailed during check-in and check-out process. Overall good experience.

Incredible! Ariel was exactly what I look for in an artist. Highly recommend. I appreciate her and her work. I only have one other tattoo with colored ink in it so picking colors is daunting but she just happens to have the colors in her own tattoos so she was able to show me what they look like which was incredibly helpful. 10/10 - would absolutely go back to Mission Ink, specifically Ariel!

Ariel was so great at helping my husband and I get our matching, but different tattoos. She made us feel really comfortable as she was tattooing us, and made sure we were happy with the design, placement, and shading. She was so friendly and helpful with the whole process of it all! This is my 3rd experience with G at Mission Ink and all three have been great! Not only does he provide beautiful work, but he has a great energy and I feel very comfortable with him. No bad vibes like some other tattoo shops I have visited. I will 100% return!

Got a decent size rib piece done here about a year ago. everyone was chill, service was good and the artist was a nice guy. As I tried explaining the shading I wanted I wasn’t necessarily “shut down” but I was quickly told “ah don’t worry man It’s going to look good” I felt comfortable and reassured, my mistake. I wanted to avoid heavy shading so it would look good at a distance but instead I got heavy shading. Further more, MOST of the line work is NOT sharp, you can see clear ink bleeding under the skin into the capillaries. Some of the lines look aged 10 years. I sent pictures and was told “it’s normal” basically brushing me off. I definitely did not feel heard or considered. More like it’s-not-our-problem attitude. One plus from this experience is that I’ve learned moving forward with tattoos I’m going to make sure the artist listens to what I want, i know I’m just another canvas for you but this is going on me for LIFE, so it’s what I want. Period. So not only am I out $900 I have a piece I’m not 100% happy with .

I worked with Ariel & had an amazing experience. Right off the bat I told her I would move my stencil around because I needed a visual of different areas and she was more than patient and eager to stick the stencil in various positions, resizing when necessary. She had a very gentle hand, made very comfortable and relaxed. She is very wonderful!! I would definitely recommend her to a friend and I will definitely be going back to her.

Mission Ink is a fantastic place! We walked in for matching tattoos with a design that was very unique and even though the first tattoo took a bit longer because of the amazing detail. Artist G, made sure that the second one was first in line on the books just a couple days later. Everyone was extremely nice and felt very welcoming. G is an amazing tattoo artist and made my experience so much better. Would absolutely recommend going here and especially booking G as your artist!

Salomé was super nice and made me feel comfortable for my ear piercing appointment. The piercings were done quickly and I like that Mission Ink sent care instructions to my email. I just wish they took credit cards as a form of payment but I understand it costs businesses more to do so. Would recommend this place to my friends.

My girlfriend and I both got some tattoos here from Ariel the past few weeks. They are some of the best done work I have. More than that, maybe, is that it was the most comfortable, relaxed, and confident I have ever been getting a tattoo. Since going to her, I doubt I’d go to another artist as long as I live in SF. The shop was very welcoming. My artist, Indy, was very friendly and took the time to really get the tattoo I wanted. She made the whole process comfortable and easy. She was really patient with me. Cant wait to come back and continue my piece.

Bankcy was dope! I arrived and he already had my tattoo design printed and in different sizes. He was also really good at recommending the right spot to put the tattoo since I’ll probably get more in the future and this was more of a filler tattoo. Before I knew it he was done and I was super pleased with the results! He gave me the after care routine, I paid, and then I was on my way. Went after work and made it back home in time for dinner. Went to Mission Ink on a whim while on vacation in SF. We didn’t have an appointment so we were so happy when they were able to get us in as a walk in. Bruno was awesome. He was calming and easy to talk to and we loved the private space. He did an exceptional job with my intricate line work and the tattoo is healing so well. I was really impressed with how clean and thorough he was. 10/10 recommend Bruno. Next time I’m back in SF, I will be sure to see him again.

I went with a friend to watch her get a piece done - everyone was SO nice from the second we walked in. They had space so I ended up doing a flash piece with Ben (stunning) and put a deposit down on a piece Id been wanting for a while (with G). G is the BEST BEST BEST and he brought what I wanted to life better than I could have ever imagined. He is the absolute sweetest human being too. I went to G over the weekend for a floral piece. He was incredible, made me feel super comfortable and honestly made the session super fun with his great personality. 100% will be going back to him. I got my first tattoo done by Ariel a few days ago and I absolutely love it, it turned out amazing! Ariel was very sweet and kind and the studio itself was very clean and comforting. I will for sure be getting more tattoos done by them, and I definitely will be recommending Ariel to others :)

I did a walk-in around opening time on a Wednesday. Initially, they let me know the next spot would be at 4:30 and that they would give me a call. Couple minutes later they informed me that a spot opened up with Bruno. Bruno took his time with the design I gave him and definitely elevated the tattoo. His line work and shading is so good! It was my first time getting a tattoo, I wanted to get a memorial of Argentina winning its 3rd World Cup. Everyone on the shop was very friendly and place was clean. Price was very reasonable too!I got tattooed by Guilherme who made an amazing design based on my request. The process was not that painful and he answered all the questions and concerns I had during the process.Now the tattoo is almost fully healed and looking awesome! (see photo).

I had such a great experience here for my first tattoo. I was lucky enough to book an appointment with a guest artist, Andrew who does amazing work. He was very professional and calmed my nerves the entire time. I felt very relaxed and he was very personable. I got tattoed at Mission Inks second location which is a great location. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff there was super friendly. I wasn’t sure what to expect but Mission Ink and Andrew made my first experience such a positive one.

My daughter and I came for her 21st Birthday to San Francisco from Folsom to see a show and I wanted to get 2 tattoos and she wanted her septum pierced- this place is so accommodating they moved our schedule around so my daughter didn’t have to walk alone to the shop where I would be. Ariel is so funny and kind; she did my tattoos and the young lady who pierced my daughters septum is so professional- the entire place; Tatiana in the front is adorable and worked with us in making any calls necessary. I’m a minor who got a nose piercing here, the lady made it so clear what I needed and when I got the piercing done it was so quick and painless. She made me feel reassured that mostly everyone cries or tears up when getting a nose piercing. I have a rather small nostrils and a small nose in general so it must’ve been hard to angle the needle but she did an amazing job. It’s been around 2 weeks since I got it? Maybe 3? I know you need to wait 6 months to change it but in all honestly it already feels healed, after the 3rd day it no longer hurt to touch. Still waiting for the 6th month mark, but I’m definitely planning to come back for my other nostril piercing on the opposite side.

So I give this place a 4/5. I got my nipples pierced and it was a walk in which was great. The piercer was a female and very sweet. She sterilized the tools and had me fill out the information. The lady in the front was also very sweet and asked about my other piercings. Besides that my piercing came out so great and didn’t hurt as bad as I thought.

I had an awesome experience at Mission Ink! Guilherme was super supportive, is super professional and a great artist. This was my first tattoo and I would 100% come back! 10/10

Have been in for two piercings within 2 weeks of each other. Both times, Salomé was extremely attentive, informative, and had an overall positive/warm attitude. She and the two front people exceeded the vibe check! Appreciated her also checking out my other piercings to make sure everything was all good.

Had a piercing done here 5 years ago and everything about the experience was great. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Recently, I had issues with this piercing (regular irritation to be expected) and came back for a consult. They didn’t ask for proof that I got it done there, and were extremely kind and generous with their time - immediately scheduling an appointment for me. Salome was my piercer for the consult and was fabulous. Couldn’t recommend this spot enough!

I was visiting my friend from out of town, and we both decided to get piercings on the last day of my visit, because its tradition for us to spontaneously get piercings or tattoos when we are together! Walked-in and got seen by resident piercer, Salomé. She was so kind and made our experience at Mission Ink very positive. I got a philtrum piercing and my friend got a nose piercing. She gave us aftercare advice, and I appreciated her clarity and confidence!! Overall, super easy and fun experience.

Excellent shop full of talented artists with good availability.I was visiting SF for a conference and didn’t have a lot of time to find an artist for a custom piece. I reached out and the shop connected me with Bankcy (insta: this_is_bankcy ). He was friendly and quick! The design he showed me was way better than I had in mind and he worked with me to add a couple additional details on site the day of my appointment. His technique is precise, with really fine shading and a light touch - produces a high quality tattoo. My overall experience was 10/10 and I will be back for another ~Thanks Bankcy and Mission team!

I got an upper arm tattoo with Guillerme that took the majority of the day, around 6 hours. I got a customized piece based on a double exposure photo art print. The design he came up with was amazing and he was super professional and relaxed, making the time fly by. The pricing was very fair, especially for the high quality work. I’m thrilled with the end result! Would definitely recommend this place, great business.

Absolutely love this place to get piercings!! My mom and I came in today and Salomé was more helpful than we could ask. She guided us through the specific piercings and how their healing processes are, as well as her recommendations with how many piercings to get. She was very patient with us (we were very indecisive), and showed us jewelry of all kinds. Throughout the actual piercing process, she was very fun and took the nervousness away from how conversational she was. GET PIERCED HERE BY SALOMÉ!!! My husband and I saw Amanda. It was his first tattoo and my second by her. She is so great! She’ll take your idea and improve upon it with her ideas to get you a great tattoo. Amanda did an incredible job on my tattoo! She was very friendly and professional, and was super invested in creating a piece that I would love. She had amazing bedside manner and it was the most pleasant tattooing experience Ive had to date! Its been about two months since I got my tattoo and its healed up perfectly. No need for a touch up or anything, the ink held perfectly. Definitely will come back to her for future pieces. The rest of the staff at Mission Ink were also super friendly and helpful.

Salome did both of my ears . First time I’ve ever been professionally pierced and it was such an incredibly easy and literally painless experience I was totally caught off guard ! The second after the first one was pierced I was all excited about what I’ll get pierced next ! Salome was very honest about what parts of the body hurt more than others and answered all of my questions with honest feedback which actually made me more likely to challenge myself to a potentially more painful piercing when armed with the facts ..and of course everyone’s body reacts different too ,so it’s an adventure all the same ! I would definitely book an appointment with Salome again as she is a seasoned professional and a very nice person and I felt very safe and relaxed getting work done from her.

Got my belly button pierced here. It hurt less than my nose piercing. The piercer was very nice, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The receptionist makes sure to take good care of you. Would highly recommend!

I went in spontaneously after biking ona Wednesday and had Indy help me get my conch pierced on my ear! Ten minutes after I sign the papers, Indy has me in the seat, sanitizing things, find out shes also a Midwesterner and then boom, piercing was in with two deep breaths and minimal pain (cuz she a pro) ! Explained the after care procedure well and so far so good with my piercing! Absolutely thrilled with it! Cute jewelry pieces to choose from also. Highly recommend

This place is awesome! Everyone in the shop was super friendly and very knowledgeable about their craft. While I was going over paperwork my fiance ended up getting a piercing (nose) and it looks fantastic! In regards to my tattoo, I set up an appointment with G and damn this guy is good. He spoke with me over the design I brought in to make sure I had everything perfetcly how I wanted it. The tattoo itself was so quick and painless (for a tattoo) I was amazed. I am in love with my new art, and will definitely be coming back for more.

I was tattooed by guest artist Sergio, he was super knowledgeable on Japanese style artwork tattoos and culture. He and I came up with a tattoo idea in about 15-20 minutes. Everyone at the shop that I encountered were really sweet people, 5/5 stars for sure!

Got a helix piercing by Jake, and it was the least painful piercing Ive had! Placement was great and so far is healing perfectly.

I went here to get Angel fangs (piercing). All of the staff was very friendly. I was pierced by Jake, He was very professional and kind. I would definitely recommend this studio!

Amazing service! From the reception to the instructions on how to look after your tattoo during the healing process and everything in between. Everyone is super nice.I had my tattoo done by the incredible Amanda who is the sweetest ever and super talented. The precision of the fine line of my infinity symbol is impeccable. I had the best experience anyone could hope for when having a tattoo. Worthy every dollar.

GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT WORK, GREAT PRICES!! For a while I have wanted a compass on the inside of my wrist as my first tattoo. I live in NYC and went to a place my friends recommended and was told what I wanted was too small, wouldnt work and the people were generally very unhelpful. So being in SF for a few months I decided to see about getting it done here. I researched Yelp for tattoo places and all the reviews for Mission Ink were really positive. I first met Andrew a fellow Brit at the front desk and chatted with him for a bit and he introduced me to Bruno. They were both really engaged, took time to understand what I wanted and then made suggestions on the design I wanted. I went back a week later and Bruno showed me the mock up. We worked on it to revise it and he was patient and nothing was too problematic to do or change. I am a bit of a perfectionist but he is too so it worked. The guys were amazing. The tattoo took about 45 minutes and I ABSOLUTELY could not be happier. It is a really beautiful piece of work. This place rocks!! if you intend or are just thinking about getting a tattoo done you have to go here. Great people, great work, great prices.

Bruno was our tattoo artist, one tattoo was a baby angel and the other was an ankh, Bruno was amazing, when I say the man knows what he’s doing, he absolutely knows what he’s doing, he is SO talented especially with detail and shading, my first tattoo was on my sternum and was extremely painful with another tattoo artist, Bruno made my second tattoo nowhere near as painful and both tattoos were in pretty tender areas. Bruno absolutely exceeded our expectations, his attention to detail was amazing, we went in expecting that he would be good but he was even better than that. I added a photo of one of the tattoos (it’s bandaged up to heal) but it looks amazing. Bruno thank you a million!

Great service, great experience overall, every time I go to Mission Ink I get great customer service and leave happy ! Salome’ helped me out with nose jewelry change and a nose bridge piercing! She was gentle and professional and informative with the after care! Will continue to be a returning customer ! :)

Overall it was a great experience for me and my daughter. Salomé greeted us with a smile was very helpful and made it fun as me and my daughter both got our nice pierced with her. She took good care of us!

I went into to get my lobes pierced again, and my pierced was an absolute gem. She was kind, attentive, listened to all of my question (even the dumb ones!) and offered her help in case anything looked weird in the coming recovery days. The shop is one of the coolest I’ve seen, with an awesome rustic interior. I highly recommend coming here to get piercings done. I know when I’m ready for my next tattoo, I’m coming here! It was an okay spot. The receptionist really doesn’t have any personality nor customer service skills. The one who tattoo’d me was Ariel. A bit of a heavy hand and she was super nice and talkative. However, she didn’t follow the design the exact way I wanted it and it seems like she pressed a bit too hard as some parts have an outgrow.Edited: I came back to review this place again because I have had many opinions by tattoo artist. The tattoo does not have solid lines and it looks blurry. A huge disappointment and the fact that this is permanently on my body makes it even more infuriating. Just so you guys can compare. Zoom into my arm and you can see the “line” work.

Mission Ink has personable and professional staff that are incredibly talented at what they do! Ive had the pleasure of being tattooed by Indy and pierced by Salomé and both experiences have been nothing short of delightful. Everyone there is amazing, and the place itself is rigorously, scrupulously clean while still having each station being personally decorated by its occupant. Hands down the best tattoo/piercing experiences Ive ever had, Ill absolutely be back.

Went in for a valentine’s day flash and the flash was really cool, the staff was so nice and made the experience so comfortable and the tattoo came out great. i’ll be back for the experience alone, everyone at the shop was incredible and made sure my friend and i were comfy and liked our placements.

My friend and I got love piercings from Salomé. She was incredibly nice and professional. We didn’t have an appointment but she found time in her busy day to pierce us. The atmosphere of the shop was also very cool and very comfortable, and I would definitely go back again!

I just got my first two piercings here, I was nervous at first about if it would be painful but Salomé was amazing! She made the whole process super comfortable and smooth, I’m so happy with the earrings she helped me pick too, 10/10 I’m very satisfied, the receptionist was friendly as well this is a great shop that I would highly recommend

I was a first-timer who went in for two small tattoos. They were meticulously done, came out really great, and everyone loved it. The artist explained aftercare really well. One less star cos when the artist first came out to talk to me, she didnt seem happy that the project was assigned to her and that it wasnt cleared with her (something about the design and size for the area it will go). I hope it wasnt because the tattoos were small and the design was too boring. 😅

I got a tattoo inked. Artist Ariel did an amazing job in designing my tattoo and inking it. Made my first tattoo the best one. Very hygienic as well. Would highly recommend this place.

I went in to have my ears re-pierced because I thought my holes on my lower lobe closed, but Salomé was able to open them. She even opened my second and third lobe holes that hadn’t been open for over a decade. She explained everything clearly and was super friendly. I’d definitely recommend and will be back.

The staff was super friendly! G, the tattoo artist that inked me, was professional and did an awesome job for a spontaneous request! He was also a really nice dude and charged me reasonably. I would definitely recommend this place for your next tattoo. G is great!
