Jason is THE BEST!I got a piercing today (in a delicate place you really, REALLY don’t want your piercer messing up) and Jason was so kind, patient and informative. He never made me feel like I was asking too many questions and never once did I feel uneasy about any of it.The shop is clean (Jason was all geared up like a surgeon), the music not too chaotic and the vibe is peaceful.Highly recommend and will go nowhere else in Austin!

Excellent service by Jason! I came in to replace a nostril stud that had gone missing. Jason and the other staff member (sorry I didnt catch their name) were so helpful and attentive through the whole process. The jewelry they sell is beautiful, and theyll help you find something in your price range. Im used to buying cheap jewelry online, but the lifetime warranty and attentiveness at Shaman will bring me back for my next piece of jewelry or piercing service.

Hands down the best piercing experience I’ve ever ever had here in Austin. Jason took his time to go over everything with me, helped me pick out the best jewelry for my piercing, made sure I was comfortable and happy the whole time.

I had a great experience here yesterday, I got a more sensitive piercing and I was very scared going into the appointment. BUT the staff was so friendly and helpful with all my questions and concerns. My piercer Travis was so professional and friendly and walked me step by step through the process. The friendliest piercing shop I have ever been to, and I would definitely come back!

Just got my nose pierced here and Jason made me feel super comfortable and patiently answered all my questions. The place is clean and they dont rush you and take their time to do things right. And the jewelry selection they have here is gorgeous. He made this experience for me feel safe and easy and Im very grateful for that. Ill be going back to get more stuff done!

Jason is AMAZING and I will never go anywhere else for my future piercings, on top of that I’ll never let any of my friends go anywhere else. I went to 3 shops last week because I really wanted an eyebrow piercing but I didn’t have the anatomy for it. I went to the Northside location and they recommended me to go visit Jason for the final opinion of if I have the anatomy for it or not. When I walked in he greeted us immediately and let me know I didn’t have the anatomy but I saw the really cool face dermal he has and he recommended not only a spot that would look nice on my face but that also aligned perfectly with my features. Not only is he very experienced but very talented. The pain was a 2/10 and the healing has been BEAUTIFUL. It’s only been a week but I’ve had no swelling, no scarring, no pain, and I forget it’s even on my face sometimes. I get so many compliments and I’m so happy with me piercing that I don’t even care about the eyebrow piercing anymore and I’m so happy with my dermal. I left with all the information I needed for healing and I’m so so happy with how great it looks with my features. I trust anything Jason says about piercings, placement, etc. I can’t wait for my next piercing.

Great atmosphere and already 4 beautiful piercings later, planning on my others. Yes, they are a little more expensive, but the quality of the jewelry is fantastic. I’ve gone to other places and paid less for a under quality level of jewelry! Will be life long customer.

I have been into this location a handful of times for various anatomy checks, questions, and general interest but today is the first time I’ve been able to get pierced! I came in looking for a vertical labret, and Jason kindly looked at my anatomy and walked me through what he thought about the possibility of rejection so we ultimately decided against it and I decided to get my eyebrow done.Best experience ever!! Highly recommend! Have gotten several piercings here including septum and lobes along with some very beautiful higher end jewelry. The staff is very kind and professional. Travis G in particular was very friendly, attentive, and walked through every step of the process very clearly.They can get very busy and sometimes there is a wait so plan accordingly!

Great experience getting my helix & upper lobes pierced. I had my ears pierced 2 separate days by 2 different piercers. I did walk-in for both times. Chris (helix) & Jason (lobes) definitely knew what they were doing. They both made me feel very comfortable and told me about every step of their process. The building is kept really clean. There was a huge selection of jewelry in yellow, white and rose gold! Its definitely worth the cost. I was very happy leaving the facility each time! Thank you so much! Ive been wanting these done for a while now. I love my piercings 🥰 I will get two more soon 😌

Mercedes is so wonderful and was so respectful and kind to us. made my gf and i feel so warm and valued as not only customers, but as people as she continuously informed of us of exactly what she was doing and made sure to ask consent before marking us, doing pressure checks, and actually piercing us. it was such a wonderful change from so many of the tattoo and piercing shops weve been to, and im so glad we chose this shop to get pierced at !

Great folks here. I cant imagine being more well taken care of. Just in for a couple of earlobe piercings and they really took the time to make sure they knew what I wanted. The prep and procedure was absolutely top notch. High recommended.

This place is great. I mean that from everything from the jewelry selection to the piercers. I’ve had many piercings done at this location, and have worked with almost all of the piercers. You really can’t find better quality in this city, I would even say in this state. I cannot recommend Jason enough either. A true professional and I love working with him.I buy most of my jewelry here and several of my piercings have been done by a piercer at Shaman. The pic attached will have a conch and stacked lobe done by Jade at shaman north, a flat by Frank, and Jason did the two stacked on my outer lobe (aka the flappies.) Travis installed the ring in my rook and reopened my tragus in both ears after I had retired them. He also helped me with the order of the chain in my conch.I have more in my right ear and Pineapple has pierced my nostril and septum.I love this place and cannot rave enough about them.

Lovely place and lovelier employees who made me feel relaxed while informed. Jade was my piercer and she has a wonderful bedside manner. I cant wait to return for my follow-up and final jewelry placement.

I have had many ear piercings before but the best experience I’ve had by far, has been at at the Shaman Piercing studio in Downtown Austin. My piercer was Frank and he was amazing. He helped me pick out my jewellery based off of my current taste and my ear shape. When actually piercing, he talked me through every step and made sure I was completely comfortable the entire time. The service aside, the studio was very clean and well organised. The prices on the jewellery are a bit high, but you get what you pay for. I will definitely be coming back here for any additional jewellery needs!

Jason did my septum piercing and then was there to trade out my training bar for something pretty 60 days later! He was professional, kind, and clearly loved to educate people on proper piercing care. The shop is very clean and tidy. Getting a new piercing can be scary but these folks are great!

Over all, good experience. Staff was pleasant. I went in for new jewelry for my nipple piercings. I wasnt sure on the length of the bars I had, so the guy examined the jewelry before choosing a length. He was very nice and made the experience comfortable. My only quam is that I was told the jewelry was the same length as what I originally had in. When I checked in the mirror, I thought they looked wider than before, but I had already asked about the length so I chalked it up to different sized end pieces playing a visual trick. After leaving, I compared the new jewelry to the old, and the new bars are noticably longer than the prior ones. Given Ive had them pierced for over ten years, I didnt need to upsize. So now Im stuck with too long of bars and Ill have to get another set after dropping over $200 on the bars and ends in the shop, which is a little frustrating... But also partly my fault for not asking another time about the length. Moral of the story: if you have any doubt, say something while youre still there. 😊

Super friendly and the place felt really clean. I came in to get my daith jewelry removed because I didn’t like the placement. The piercer, I think it was Travis, told me that I could come in and get it redone once it healed. I specifically said that I wouldn’t get it removed if he thought that the placement couldn’t be changed later and that I would just keep it. He said he thought it could be moved back a little bit so I agreed and we took it out. Once it healed I came back to the exact same piercer only to be told that not only could I not move the placement but that it couldn’t be pierced AT ALL. He said my anatomy was too small so he either failed to notice that when I came in the first time, or my ear shrunk in 4 months. I just wish he could have pointed that out intitially so I didn’t have to drive all the way back because I live an hour away. I’ll probably come back for a different kind of piercing because they seem really trustworthy. Maybe not for my cartilage though

I came in to view their BVLA jewelry because I am planning to get a conch piercing, but I ended up falling in love with some studs from Anatometal! The employees here are extremely helpful and kindly answered all my questions about the names and prices of each piece that caught my interest. I will come back here to get that conch piercing on my birthday!

Shaman Modifications was great. The staff is very, very thorough with sanitation and assisting people on a first come, first serve basis. That being said, Id suggest booking out about an hour+ for whatever you are having done here (from jewelry purchases to piercings).I came in looking for a simple jewelry for my older industrial piercing, and was very satisfied with what I got. I appreciated that my ear was measured and that I was given suggestions for the length. I loved that they also placed the barbell as well.

I had my helix pierced here it was my first real piercing (other than my lobes) and i have a severe phobia of needles but my piercer was so professional about it and gave me all the time i needed and didn’t ever make me feel bad about it. I asked him so many questions and he obviously knew what he was talking about and enjoyed it. I wish i could remember what his name was but i will be going here from now on for all of my piercings.

Travis was absolutely incredible. I was super nervous even though I’ve gotten piercings before but he made me feel comfortable, was super easy to talk to and made this experience even better than I anticipated. Will definitely be going back soon for more!!!

I’ve gotten pierced here three times total and while everyone has been so great I had to write this review because of Mercedes. I came in on New Years Day wanting third lobe piercings and I wasn’t sure if I had the anatomy for it. Mercedes was my piercer and she confirmed we could squeeze a third one in and I just loved that she really took her time explaining everything and making sure that I was happy with the placement. I ALWAYS have problems with my ear piercings (my second lobe piercings flared up a few times right after getting pierced) and my third ones have given me no problems at all. I also get nervous around needles and she really walks you through breaths when getting pierced. This kind of experience is what keeps me as a repeat customer, everyone is always so kind when I go in!

Jade pierced my high nostril a couple weeks ago. She checked that my nose anatomy would work with this piercing and was thoughtful about placement - asking me future piercing plans. Lot of jewelry options from basic to investment art pieces - really neat to see. Person working the counter that day was super friendly helping with the jewelry selection and paperwork. Def recommend

I will never go anywhere else!! Jason helped me out with replacing my rook piercing and he was excellent. He helped me understand different options in style and pricing. When he swapped out the ring he verbalized everything he was doing, which was reassuring and indicated his expertise. He also gave me detailed care plans for another piercing I have that needs some TLC. Overall incredibly professional and they know their stuff! Highly recommend!

Shaman Modifications is absolutely top notch. I had a helix piercing done here and everything went beautifully until I had to size down to a shorter post. A few months later it had become a bit swollen and uncomfortable and the back had started pulling into my ear. I was nervous Id done something to cause the problem and put off going into the shop for weeks. When I finally went in I was seen promptly and treated with absolute care. My ear was painful to the touch but the removal was done deftly so the pain only lasted a few seconds. The employees have this level of calm that makes you feel very at ease, whether theyre piercing you or removing a piercing from a painfully swollen ear. Cant recommend them enough!

A friend and I came here looking to get navel piercings, and we were told that would be fine, but there would be a wait since there were three people ahead of us and only one piercer. We were walk-ins, so that was fine, but we wound up waiting an hour and a half to be told our belly-buttons were too shallow in a 30-second consultation. He pulled us in, and he told us we could come back on Sat/Sun when someone else (Travis) would probably do it--meaning its not that our navels are too shallow, he just didnt want to do it. Which he could have told us from the get-go, since hes the one who welcomed us in. He made it sound super dire, like they would absolutely reject or migrate. We went to a different luxury piercing studio, where we were pierced within the hour for half the price by someone who said our belly-buttons were just fine and all piercings have risk. Her exact words were We are supposed to adjust to you, your belly-buttons are fine. They just didnt want to do it and wasted our time in the process. If you want to get your navel pierced, either go Sat/Sun directly to Travis, or go somewhere better--and cheaper (Blindside Tattoo and Piercing was FANTASTIC, had more jewelry options, and all the piercers were much more personable). Also, their aftercare video negates half the aftercare rules any other piercing studio would recommend you follow, which is just ridiculous.Edit in response to owner: Instead of commenting on your piercers general attitude and aversion to the piercings, you chose to write an essay on why other experienced piercers are wrong. Your piercer strongly discouraged my friend and me from getting a navel piercing at all, and the general attitude was holier-than-thou. The price was never the issue, but I dont recommend paying that price for the attitudes we encountered.

Fantastic experience at Shaman on E 7th. I wanted a helix piercing but knew I needed a professionals opinion based on my anatomy. Travis was great! Kind and professional. Shop is very clean and has a great selection of jewelry. Thorough aftercare instructions and products to go with too. They’re so great, in fact, it makes me want to get more piercings! This is where I will come in the future and send my friends for sure.

I went to Shaman Modifications to get my hidden helix pierced and get new jewelry for my pre-existing piercings. Mercedes helped me and I cannot recommend her enough. Her bedside manner was warm, welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. I felt really comfortable with her, which I haven’t always felt with other piercers. Shaman Mod even posts their general employee schedule online so if you want to go when Mercedes is working, you can! And i would highly recommend it ☺️

The shop has a great vibe and is very clean, there is beautiful jewelry on display, and my experience was excellent! Jason did my paired eyebrow piercings; he was so kind and informative and patient! He took the time to mark the piercing sites for symmetry and to be sure I liked the placement, then walked me through everything and narrated every step so I was fully informed and comfortable. He even helped guide my breathing :) I have had negative experiences getting piercings before and this was so far the opposite. I felt so reassured by Jason encouraging me to reach out to him if I had questions afterward-- and I naturally did, and he was so great to respond and offer advice. Follow their aftercare instructions! My healing process has been smooth, all things considered. The price is fully worth it because the shop and artists are professional and hygienic. As others have said, you get what you pay for. I will definitely be returning for any future piercings or consultations and Jason definitely has my trust!!! Thank you so much!

Ive had tattoos and piercings done at Shaman. Everyone is professional and willing to take the time you need, not rush a decision or the process. Jewelry is high quality. I had a reaction to low quality jewelry and the higher quality jewelry took care of the reaction. I needed to have my nipple piercings put back in and the piercer didnt rush me between inserting the rings, allowing me the time I needed to not be dizzy anymore. I wont go anywhere else, and recommend them to everyone I know.

Just got pierced here and the experience was absolutely amazing. The staff was so informative and open with everything. I got my septum done and had very little to no pain out of a 1-10 it was a 2. I can’t even feel it now highly recommend!!!! Pineapple was my piercer very happy!!!!

I came to Shaman Modifications after my daith piercing had fallen out and had an awesome experience with Mercedes. While she wasn’t able to put it back with the original jewelry since it wasn’t from there, that was probably the best piercing experience I’ve ever had (even though it was just a jewelry insertion). Shaman is a great place to go for piercings. I have been a few times for piercing, or to purchase additional earrings and each time I’ve encountered a super helpful and friendly staff.I can’t recommend Shaman, and specifically Jade, enough.

I got a nostril piercing at Shaman and had a great experience. Pineapple (the owner) did my piercing and he was super nice and professional. He walked me through every single step of what he was doing and explained why he was doing it/ what do expect from each step. He was great at calming me down when I was nervous. Tons of Covid safety protocols and general sanitation protocols. We did have to wait in our car for a while before we could get in, but once we were in the experience wasn’t rushed at all and the shop wasn’t crowded so the wait makes sense. They also ask you to come show them the piercing a few weeks later or send in a picture so they can see how it’s healing, which I have never seen another shop do. The only thing I wish was different was the jewelry display. They have really beautiful jewelry but the higher end stuff and the budget friendly stuff is all mixed together and is individually priced. I wish they had a section of more “entry level” jewelry. All in all the best piercing experience I’ve ever had.

I had a very lovely experience at Shaman Modifications. All of the staff were very pleasant and thorough- explaining the process and setting expectations from the beginning. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a piercing. Priced appropriately too! Would come back in the future for anything else my heart desires!

April 2021Brought my daughter here when she was 14 to get her Septum. They did an amazing job. She had no pain doing it whatsoever.The prices here may be a tad bit more expensive but I promise you it is worth it. The care you get means and makes the difference. You get all that you need with the price you pay.Sadly we didnt go here for another piercing she had done recently, her belly button, and the experience was not great. They pierced her and immediately had us leave, we barely made it to the car and she blacked out and almost fainted. When she was pierced at Shaman Modifications the very friendly piercer didnt have her move right away which I know for a fact helped a ton. I regret letting my daughter go elsewhere for another piercing but I wont make that mistake again. The care you get here is really worth the money.(The other place also didnt give any instructions, no follow-up care or appointment, the rushed us out immediately after piercing, no cleaning liquids or supplies or even instructions were given)Dont be cheap. So many things can go wrong. This place is worth every penny spent. Please take my word for it, you wont regret it and you will have a pleasant experience and piercing.

I got my nose pierced by Chris and the whole experience was great. They definitely are priced a little higher than some shops, but I think it is 100% a “you get what you pay for” situation. I was able to get in after a short wait, Chris walked me through the process thoroughly and gave me lots of options for jewelry based on what I like. The process was very clean and aftercare instructions were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend!

First of all, this place is immaculate! Very clean & sanitary with a artsy, yet classy industrial vibe. I have been here twice in the last couple of months, first to get a septum piercing & then I got a coin slot mod. Pineapple did both & was extremely professional, explained every bit of the process & made me feel extremely comfortable through both processes! I highly recommend this location and Pineapple himself!

Incredible experience here. The staff are friendly and so knowledgeable. They explain every step of the process, as well as all of thr necessary steps in aftercare. This is a boutique experience, as far from grungy piercing salons you may have visited in the past. They also have a whole selection of jewelry that is incredible, so you can buy jewelry in the event you just want to swap out a piece and dont need a new piercing.

Jason took great care of me and took his time guiding me through various options and was so helpful with his perspective and insight so I could make the best choice for my investment. Im not a stranger to getting piercings (over 15 so far) but it had been a few years so the nerves kicked in regardless. I have 2 nostril piercings on one side and was getting one done on the opposite side. Jade (the piercer) was so freakin gentle and calming it was over before I knew it.The walk-in policy is tricky because you dont know what the wait will be until you arrive, but once you sign in and pick your jewelry, the line moves along pretty quickly.While the piercing fee is pretty standard, its the fine metal jewelry that does raise the price. I usually get steel jewelry and opted for the white gold instead (still reasonably priced).Will visit again for my next piercing!

My piercer was Justin and I have to say, the staff was friendly, patient, supportive, and knowledgeable. Everything was clean, they took their time explaining the process, what to expect, how to breathe through it. Highly recommend.

Wanted to go to this place for so long and when I finally went to get my philtrum pierced I was so impressed.The shop is clean and well thought out. I loved the way they setup the shop. Really great quality jewelryTravis pierced me and he was very thorough with the intake process, educating me and the actual piercing. I felt way more prepared for the aftercare of my piercing than any other shop I’ve been to. It’s a bit pricey compared to other experiences I have had but it is necessary!!What made it pricey was the jewelry which was a good sign to me that they are a reputable shop that truly cares to give you only the best

I first visited Shaman Modifications during 2020 for a purchase and replacement of some dermals for my back. It was an exceptional experience then and it continues to impress.I recently visited again to replace one of the dermals that had lost a gemstone. I fully expected to buy a new set and get both replaced. I was greeted by Frank when I entered. He was engaging and eager to help me. After learning I had purchased the dermals from Shaman Mods, he was able to pull up my info and file a claim on the jewelry so it could be sent in for repair. Maybe Ive just been out of the loop for a while, in terms of body art and studio policies, but this alone demonstrates the studios commitment to excellent products and customer satisfaction. I have never been to a place which implemented this standard! i was impressed by this alone.Not only did I get the jewelry sent off for repair (at no cost to me), I was able to purchase a replacement with the same gem stone, and get a nostril piercing. Frank went through a very thorough process to replace the damaged jewelry. He was consent based and very much focused on informing me of the process. He spent plenty of time with placement and helping me select the right jewelry style, in the right price range. I love the results.This team of professionals values communication, informed consent based services, CLEANLINESS, high health standards (read their sign before entering!) and they are providing really high quality jewelry.(Their BVLA selection is gorgeous!)The level of customer care and satisfaction was exceeded. I actually stopped getting body art because I had a few experiences with some unprofessional providers. After this, I would absolutely revisit this studio for more piercings and jewelry purchases. I had an amazing experience here with mercedes and pineapple! mercedes got me all checked in and answered all my questions, and pineapple did my nostril piercing. a huge reason i’ve avoided piercing studios in the past is that i often feel stupid for asking too many questions, but i didn’t feel that way at all here. pineapple was very patient, explained everything and told me what he was doing before he did it. he walked me through breathing and made me feel very comfortable. i love my piercing and will definitely be back here!

Got my nose pierced here and it was a wonderful experience. They have a very extensive selection of jewelry. Staff were super professional, very informed and informative. Frank did my piercing and he was great to work with from start to finish and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. If I decide to get another piercing in the future Im coming back here.

Came in yesterday to get my septum pierced and everything was 100/10. frank was very friendly and knowledgeable. despite having a lot of piercings already, i was pretty nervous, but he made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process.

I got two ear piercings done with Jade and could not have had a better experience! This place has such a professional and friendly atmosphere, and the actual piercing experience was so quick and seamless. Jade is SO sweet and amazing at her job. She walked me through each step to let me know what she was doing, including breathing exercises during the actual piercing.The studio has a lot of options for jewelry available and the facility and tools are VERY clean. I experienced minimal pain and swelling and my piercings are healing beautifully. I was given very detailed after care instructions as well. I cant wait to go back in the future!

Best place to get a piercing in Austin! Great atmosphere, very welcoming and clean. Travis did my ear cartilage piercing and re-inserted earrings in my lobe piercings (which were pierced when I was young and had not been well maintained). He was excellent to work with, he communicated with me through every step and made the process very smooth! Highly recommend!

The best piercing experience I have ever had. Chris took time to work with me to find the perfect jewelry, was very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Be prepared to spend a little bit more, as others have said, you get what you pay for and arrive with your patience since you may have to wait a bit.

Chris is no longer with Shaman but he was fantastic and thorough during the process. Pineapple was super kind and knowledgeable, explaining why my anatomy wouldn’t work for a certain piercing. AND Frank let me ask as many questions as I could think of. I will never go to any other piercing shop, Shaman is truly an experience to have.

Went in to get a jewelry swap for a pericing I have and it was quick and easy! The place had beautiful art, the staff were very kind, and everything was exceptionally cleaned/disinfected everywhere. Extremely kind, careful, and professional staff. A little pricier than other places in Austin, but well worth it! You certainly get what you pay for in this case. They have an amazing thread-less jewelry collection. I have been to many shops in Austin throughout the years and this one was by far my favorite overall. I can’t say enough good things about Frank. I had three piercings done, and plan to go back for a few more. He was patient, helpful, and very clear on what to expect both with pricing and during the actual piercings.I was exceptionally impressed that he never made me feel rushed, although it was clear they were very busy. The COVID policy keeps things feeling very safe but also will likely result in a wait time outside before you can get into the studio. It’s impressive to me that he can give the same level of energy and positivity to customer after customer knowing there’s going to be a steady stream all day long.Id like to update this review to extend all of the same compliments to Chris as well as Frank. I returned for a followup and two more piercings and had the pleasure of working with Chris this time. Both Frank and Chris were delightful to work with.

Ive been here a few times, love their jewelry selection, their staff is VERY helpful and considerate and I trust them more than most other piercing stores.However, they are walk in only and if they are busy, the wait can be very (an hour +) long. Please keep this in mind, I do wish there was a system for reservations or to know how long the wait is.

Jade pierced my nose in March and it was a great experience. The place is very clean with a lot of cleaning measures in place. Jade took her time to talk to me about my nose piercing (I was nervous) and showed me where she was going to pierce before she did it. The nose piercing healed up perfectly. I came back today just to have Jade check it out and bought a new nose ring and had it changed out. She is really sweet and you feel like you are getting the best care. Getting a place like your nose pierced is something everyone is going to see so you mine as well get it done with the best, cleanest environment.

I had my nipples pierced here by Chris and it was a highly professional and overall pleasant experience. Shaman is definitely worth the cost if you want the best possible piercing studio and jewelry around. All of their jewelry is high-grade and beautiful.

The hours have changed a bit so I was happy to see that their 7th street location took walk-ins till 9:30 pm. Went there on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. Spoke with Chris who was incredibly professional and super kind. The knowledge and dedication to their trade made me feel incredibly comfortable. I got my septum pierced and it was a breeze. Super quick and easy. Chris was dedicated to ensuring my aftercare routine was thorough and well informed. I was mind blown at the fact that he wanted a follow up visit for a flipping piercing! I have never had a piercing place recommend that before! Very very impressed. Also, the local jewelry selection is in my opinion much more tasteful and on trend compared to other shops. Just as pricey but the quality is top notch. The jewelry reminds me of artists you would see during East, at a gallery like RECSPEC (Moved down south since Flatbed closed). Will be scheduling another appointment with Pineapple to hopefully get my ears ‘punched’(my made up term) and will probably buy another pair of earrings as they are gorgeous and very unique.

Fantastic experience! As someone who’s been pierced at several different studios, I can confidently say that Shaman is the best of the best. Chris was friendly, open, informative and quick. The atmosphere was very calm and felt luxurious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting superior quality with a wide variety of jewelry.

Incredibly knowledgeable and professional, Frank took great care of me for my piercing, walking me through every step of the way, despite the piercing being in a rather sensitive area that I had been told couldnt be pierced. Took my teen for her first ear piercing. I cant say enough about their cleanliness. Masks were required, hand sanitizer was also required upon entering the building. My daughter picked out her earrings, she was required to watch a very informative video on aftercare. Apparently weve done it all wrong, which explains all the metal allergies in my family. When it was time to get her piercing the guy doing the work wore a heavy duty respirator. When we checked out we were given follow up instructions and told she was to come back so they could size down the post. You get what you pay for and this was worth every penny. My daughter has had zero complications with her ear piercing. We couldnt be happier with their service.

I want to start off by saying once we started going to Shaman Modifications we won’t go anywhere else. The passion and love at all of the locations is bar none.My son mentioned he wanted his ears pierced so we made our way down to the 7th location and he had a consultation with Jason. He answered all of my son’s questions. Walked him through what would happen and helped him pick the new jewelry his ears would be sporting once his homework was completed.After my son completed his homework we walked in, and Jason made him feel excited. “He remembered me!” was what I heard on the way home.After filling out all the documents and Jason walking my son through the steps again we made our way to the chair. Jason was so kind and patient, he answered every single one of my sons questions, some multiple times. He let him know we didn’t have to pierce his ears until he was ready and really helped calm my sons anxiety. My child was so happy when he saw his new jewelry!If you’re looking for a place for your children, there is no other location I will recommend. Or even for yourself! Don’t hesitate. This is a good one.

Cannot recommend this place enough. I saw Chris for my conch piercing and he was fantastic. Their process is so thorough (and yet quick!!) that I found myself wishing I got this level of education as a 13 y/o when I first got my ears pierced. The level of information they give about the piercing and healing process is amazing; they provide detailed follow-up instructions and aftercare products; and schedule a free follow up with you. The selection of jewelry is incredible—gorgeous pieces. I really appreciated their Covid precautions—they strictly limit number of people in the store, have you wash your hands as soon as you walk in, have protectors on anything you touch and loads of sanitizer, and wear very serious respirator masks while they’re doing the piercing. I felt so safe. The space itself is also so beautiful and pristine. Such a great experience from top to bottom, will absolutely be back.

Travis pierced my nostril on Wednesday, and it didn’t hurt a bit. Now, a couple days later and I barely even feel it! He’s the best, and if I get any more piercings, I wouldn’t go to anyone else!

I had a 10/10 experience today getting my ears repaired by Pineapple at this location. I had stretched ears from gauges, and after years of keeping them out they did not fully close. Pineapple was SO kind, professional & thorough. My ears look amazing, he did a great job and gave me all of the necessary after care information. I would recommend anyone and everyone to come here for any body modifications / ear fixes. The shop is beautiful & their parking lot is a huge bonus. Thanks again!

While I agree with many of the reviews for this business (incredibly clean, professional and friendly staff, a wide variety of piercing jewelry choices) I would not rate my experience as highly. My main critique is time- I spent 2 hours here, from when I arrived (and was placed on a waiting list) to when I left after my piercings. It was a random Thursday at 3pm, so I imagine their weekend wait times must be insane. Once my piercer actually got to me, I was out in maybe 10 minutes. I really think if this business can get this busy, they should be appointment-only, so their customers arent wasting their time. I also thought it was overpriced- $190 ($160 + tip) for two lobe piercings with the cheapest jewelry they had is a bit steep.A final note of caution, google maps brought me to the wrong location so I had to circle the block to actual get to the Shaman parking lot.

Got my venom tongue piercing by Frank and he was very patient and kind. I love that he took his time to make sure the piercing was in an even position and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process :) My piercings are healing well as they should, thanks to their professionalism, very through after-care instructions and standard of care. The shop has an LA vibe. Definitely looking forward to my next piercing here.

I love this place. Ive been here twice and both piercings have done done perfectly fine. I have been pierced by Chris and Pineapple himself. Both guys made me feel comfortable throughout the process and never rushed me. Loved their sense of humor and cant wait to continue my yearly remembrance tribute to my daddy. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I went in to get my nostril re-pierced, and I cant be more satisfied. Shaman is literally the best piercing shop Ive been to! Chris was extremely nice, professional, and answered any and all questions I had. The shop is literally spotless, and the cleanest piercing shop I have personally been to. All of the after care was gone over with me, and it was also emailed to me. My piercing was done quickly, cleanly, and very professionally. It was as painless as getting a piercing could possibly be. The double-glove technique was one of the most impressive ways to be sterile. Shaman is the only place I will go back to for any and all future piercings. 10/10 would recommend to any and every one looking for piercings.

Got my nose pierced and a Dangerous Things RFID implant put in.The shop was very professional and very COVID conscious. All attendants were wearing masks and they called in one group at a time.Pineapple was my body modifier, and he had a trainee with him. He made sure I had all of the information I needed and guided me through the process.The actual piercing and implant insertion were both fast and relatively painless. I was given thorough aftercare instructions, soap, and saline spray.

I had a wonderful experience at Shaman Modifications. I stopped in over the weekend and they were very cautious with covid protocols which I appreciated and as a result I felt very safe in their shop. Everyone was friendly and helpful, they took the time to answer any questions I had, made me feel confident in my choices and had a great selection of jewelry. No matter the employee, I always feel welcomed, validated, and safe in a Shaman Mods studio. I have gone in multiple times-- just to ask questions, get pierced &checkups/downsized, get regular jewelry changes.Piercers have always walked me through what theyre doing, before and during, and I appreciate that a lot. (Like why they wear two pairs of gloves, etc)The studio itself is clean and professional. This location has a convenient sink down the hall to wash your hands when you enter. I will ALWAYS go to this place for any piercing. I went about a week ago to get my septum pierced and they were so kind, patient, clean and professional!!!! He took his time to line everything up. Gave me all my after care needs and everything. They really go above and beyond. I only had to wait maybe 25 mins to go in and it took him maybe 10-15 to pierce me. AND they do check ups!! So after a piercing they give you their personal email to send pictures to them to make sure it’s healing correctly and doing what it needs to do. They take their time to do things right instead of rushing though and potentially doing it wrong or sideways. On top of that, they recommend you go back so they can change out your jewelry. Over all, go to this place! Great pricing and all. Really good jewelry quality also. They don’t use cheap old jewelry!!! Go here!☺️☺️(Obviously my eyes watered lol!)

Excellent place to get pierced at! Ive been helped by couple of artists at this location as well as their Dallas one, and I am very happy with my Industrial, Septum, and tongue piercings! Clean, minimal environment, friendly staff. You dont get that overwhelming feeling that some piercing/tattoo shops give. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and all the artists are very patient and explain things every step of the way.

Best piercing shop in Austin. I’ve been to multiple shops and no one compares to the professional atmosphere and caring employees I’ve found here. They have completely won my future business as well. They only use the highest quality jewelry in initial piercings and also sell really nice designer pieces as well. Highly recommend to anyone. Chris was kind and patient, and he explained everything that he was going to do before he did it.I had previously had a horrible experience getting an ear piercing at a different shop, and my experience at Shaman Mods was SO much better! Best piercing place around hands down. They give each customer special attention. They are highly skilled and profession. Very much worth paying somewhat more for high quality and an enjoyable experience with amiable staff in a gorgeous store.

Seriously awesome place for first timers and those getting more fancy stuff.We went for my partners Dangerous Things implant (not first for us), their nose piercing, and I got my first gauges.The waitlist system is efficient, they talk through everything in as much detail as you want and have after care packages for you to take.

They make you shave your beard for lip piercings and they arent confident piercing deviated Septums.

I have been to Shaman a number of times—whether it’s been to get tattooed (I’ve gotten work from Benji & Jonathan) it pierced (by either Jade or Pineapple). Every time I have had a phenomenal experience. Everyone who works at Shaman is sincere & kind and are incredibly knowledgeable with the work they are doing; it is also a clean shop and well-taken care of. Great atmosphere overall. Chis was awesome! Me and a friend went to get nose piercings to celebrate her graduation from nursing school and passing her RN exam. We went to Shaman Mod because we really wanted and good selection of nose rings to pick from and we were not disappointed!!! Chris was super patient with us as we asked him how much about 20 of the nose rings cost before finally picking the ones we wanted. He was very informative about how the piercing would go, after care and very smooth when he actually performed the piercing. The quality of their jewelry cannot be beat! Check out Shaman Mod, you will not be disappointed!

Shaman runs a clean and modern shop, staff are very informative and happy to give guidance on piercings, talk you through every step of the process and prices. Friendly folks too. It speaks volumes of a place when the staff do each others piercings, and thats how it is at Shaman. Make sure to leave your friends at home; in wake of Covid they are running a tight shop and only those receiving service can come in.

Jade was extremely nice and she was very thorough with information about after care. She also explained every step in the process of getting my nose pierced. I felt comfortable that she knew what she was doing. I will go back to Shaman whenever I need anything! I also got a tattoo by James Hall and he was incredibly nice and also made sure that I was comfortable and that I was toleration the pain. Overall excellent experiences. It is kind of expensive but definitely worth it!!! I have peace of mind that everything is of quality material, safe, and clean!

I got my septum pierced by Frank and went back to get it swapped for a gold piece. He made sure I was comfortable, was clear about the process, I didnt feel rushed, even if I felt like I asked stupid questions it didnt feel like he judged me for them, and he seemed hype about how the end result looked. If I want anything else in the future I will travel multiple hours to get it done here.

This place saved me from having my septum piercing by very kindly selling me a retainer and teaching me how to do it myself when they werent able to do it for me. Pineapples calm and professional demeanor put me at easy and gave me the comfort of being able to do it myself. I cannot wait to come back and have more piercings done by them as well as tattoos! I highly recommend them!

I honestly think this place is probably awesome, has great piercers, and high quality jewelry, but I just don’t know because I have yet to go inside.Be aware that the wait times are incredibly lengthy, not estimated with a queue, and you will be outside in the heat waiting 40 minutes and up to an hour or more just to be called inside. It’s my dream to purchase jewelry here, but after two failed attempts (once during the week and once on a weekend) I’m unfortunately going to have to take my business elsewhere.

8/15/15: James did an absolutely incredible job tattooing my knee. The pain was minimal, especially considering the placement, and he was an absolute joy to chat with through the whole process. It always helps to have good conversation when being stabbed repeatedly with a tiny needle. The shop itself was the cleanest I have ever been in. Overall fantastic experience. Will return.**Update 9/10/15: I went in to the Anderson Mill location, but it wont let me leave a review for some reason. Anyway, I went in without an appointment. I was immediately greeted by Jade, who was very kind and professional. She examined my philtrum to make sure it was okay to pierce. She then had me fill out paperwork and watch an aftercare video while she sterilized the piercing tools. The piercing process itself was fine; Jade talked me through every step and the pain was minimal. Fantastic studio, will come here for all of my future needs.

Ive been to shaman twice now, and had the pleasure of working with Chris! I explained to him that I am very sensitive to most metals, and he worked with me to find exactly what would work for me safely and also give me the look I was going for. Chris is extremely professional, friendly, and informative. Im sure everyone as Shaman is wonderful, but Chris just makes the experience so fun, its like hanging out with a friend. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Went in to ask some questions about a piercing we wanted done. Price was almost double what anywhere else will charge and I got no clarification or reason for it when I asked. It honestly just feel like we were being judged and blown off. Ive worked in customer facing jobs for years and know enough to recognize what helpful, friendly service is. I can also recognize when someone deems a client not worth the time and effort and provides minimal help to try to usher them out the door as soon as possible. We got the latter. Thankfully, this is Austin and our options are plentiful. We got the piercing not too far away at a much more reasonable price by amazing and accommodating staff.All in all, unless you fit their idea of upscale clientele and want to pay 2-3x the industry standard, steer clear of this place.Seriously though. Yall are right next to a Michoacanas Mexican Market, Boujee hair salon, and surrounded by quick loan places. Sit down. Be humble.

I have seven piercings and two tattoos and I have gotten every single one done at Shaman! I absolutely love this shop! I got my very first tattoo by James Hall, my first couple piercings by Danae and she was very professional and a few others by Pineapple! I have recommended this shop to EVERY one of my friends. Yes their prices are much higher than many other shops, but I can guarantee that you are paying for quality! I can honestly say that I never want to go to another shop. Please dont be stupid and go to a shop that has cheap piercings.. Pay for quality and have peace of mind that your piercings and tattoos will heal perfectly (if you take care of them right).

I came to Shaman for my very first piercing, both earlobes, and from my experience the high reviews certainly didnt lie! Kelli was the piercer on duty and he was very thorough in explaining everything that would happen, and he also made sure I felt comfortable all the way through the job. Additionally, the building is exceptionally clean and pleasant to be in, with a large variety of piercing options. Would come here again!

Jade did an amazing job on my eyebrow piercing! She was super nice and very calming to be around, something you definitely want in a piercer! She talked me through step by step so I knew exactly what was about to happen. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The area is a little questionable.( East Austin location)..However the shop is adorable. Arrived there at 3pm only to find the shop was at capacity, so they provided me with the number to reserve my spot. Wait time was about 45 mins so not too bad. As soon as you walk in they request you wash your hands asap (covid precautions and i approve), the selection of jewelry was incredibly beautiful as i found a piece right away! The gentleman that helped me (chris) was very knowledgeable and asked if i had any questions along the way while explaining post care instructions (nasal piercing). They even request you follow up in about 2-4 weeks to make sure you are free from any inflammation/ infection! would recommend this place as it was extremely clean/ professional/ decently priced. Thank you soooo much, i LOVE my piercing!!!!

I was lucky enough to walk in at a slow time and Tony had some time open to do a tattoo for me. All the staff were extremely friendly and laid back. The place is clean and not at all intimidating. Tony did two tattoos for me and I couldnt be happier with them. He gave me very clear after care instructions and a way to contact him if I had any questions. He also guarantees his work, so if I need any touch ups, hell take care of it. The price was very reasonable. I dont live in Austin, but when I come back I would definitely get another tattoo here.

Pineapple really went out of his way to make my piercing experience a breeze. I really appreciated how serious he was about proper sterilization and cleanliness, and how he talked me through every step of the way about what he was doing. His facility is really nice, and he only carries top quality inventory. I followed his aftercare instructions and had no problems. I would highly recommend Pineapple to anyone.

When it comes COVID-19 related safety concerns, experienced piercers, and good quality jewelry, this is the place to go. They have a lot of precautions in place including limiting capacity to allow social distancing, having each new customer immediately wash their hands upon entry, running air purifiers, piercers wear a full face-covering N95 respirator while doing the piercings, and putting new saran wrap over the iPad they use for consent forms each time a new person uses it.The piercer took his time understanding what I wanted done, and gave me really good advice about healing. If you get an ear piercing, get the ear covers they have for covering your piercing while you shower, they do really help. They make sure to have you come back for a follow up after a few weeks, and they are responsive if you have questions during the healing process.Their prices may be a tiny bit higher than other shops, but you are getting a FAR safer and better piercing experience when you go here. Frank who pierced me explained where to expect peaks and valleys in the pain levels during the piercing procedure, which was really kind.

I love this place! I scheduled an appointment with Danae to get my nose pierced and she was awesome! I was pretty nervous, mostly because Im really cutesy and often times people dont take me seriously. She was so nice and professional and made me feel really comfortable. She explained everything as she did it which was really helpful.She let me know beforehand what the piercing would feel like and when she did it she was so quick it barely hurt at all. She gave me all kinds of info on how to take care of it and what I should expect. I didnt have any issues with it other than allergies. Unfortunately I ended up having to get it taken out because my allergies bothered me to much to keep it in. I felt bad going back to have it taken out (I couldnt get it out myself) cause she did such a good job! But she made that process really easy too.I plan to go back for a back tattoo I want and maybe a lip piercing.

I was recently in Austin and lost some jewelry so I visited Shaman and was welcomed warmly by Travis. He helped me find jewelry similar to the piece I lost and offered to insert it for me. I accidentally told him the incorrect length I needed for the post but he quickly noticed what I needed and inserted the proper length Instead. He is very kind, pays attention to detail and I was impressed with his procedures from being careful not to cross contaminate as well as practicing safe COVID prevention with PPE. I gotta say, this was probably one of the best customer experiences Ive ever had. I was absolutely blown away. Cody was incredibly professional, informative, and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process.I initially went in hoping to get a second opinion on an industrial, but Cody confirmed my ear was not compatible with such a piercing (something about the helix and how my scapha/scaffold sticks out). I still wanted a piercing and Cody gave me his honest opinions on what would suit the shape of my ears. I did not feel pressured to make a decision and he did not try to upsell me on anything. He told me he wanted me to do something that I would be happy with. For an anxious person like me, I truly felt at ease when I was considering my options.I ended up choosing the flat piercing. Before getting set up in the piercing room, he gave me a clear and thorough overview of the aftercare. When it was go time, he walked me through every step of the way which made me feel relaxed as I awaited the pain. The piercing hurt only briefly. He was also good at the small talk, which made the process even easier.I had such a positive experience and Cody is a super awesome piercer. Ill definitely go back for additional piercings next time Im in town.

I got my 2nd earlobe piercings done by Travis and am absolutely happy with the attention to detail Travis gave my piercings placements, quality of jewelry and how much patience I was given to decide which ones I wanted, and how seriously they convey aftercare. Went in the other day (we live in San Antonio) for a P.A. and Chris took care of me. I have been in many different tattoo parlors and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. So good in fact my wife decided to get her septum done the same day. Got recommended this shop by the piercers at Iris up in SLC,UT. A really lovely shop with an awesome jewelry selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and quick turn around. Worked with Travis and Patrick and they were fantastic.

This is the only piercing location I recommend when someone is Austin asks for where they should go to get anything done. The place is a bit on the pricey side but you are paying for high-grade jewelry and excellent service. I got my tongue pierced here and it was such a painless and quick experience that I was shocked when he said we were done. Getting my tongue pierced was kind of a off-the-cuff decision for me, but I researched it and ended up getting super worried about the process of getting the piercing and healing but pineapple was super helpful and made the process as smooth as possible for me. He taught me about aftercare and when I got nervous that something was wrong with my tongue, he let me email him progress pictures so that he could check it out and make sure that everything was alright. I could email him and questions or concerns I had and he really eased all my worries. I also went to Shaman for a piercing check-up because I got overly excited and decided to get my tragus and cartilage pierced somewhere other than here and it was healing really poorly. I came in to show them my ear and they got to the root of the problem quickly saying that my ear was pierced with the wrong jewelry so they helped me get that all switched out and now my tragus is fine! I will definitely be going to them again if I decide to get another piercing!

I came here to get my upper lip (Philtrum) pierced, since I had heard such great things about their piercer, Pineapple. He did not disappoint! The shop was very clean, he was extremely professional, and executed the procedure with skill and grace. I will definitely come back here for all of my piercing needs in the future!

I had my stretched ears closed today, Mr.Pineapple was very polite, knowledgeable, and prepared. The establishment was very clean, there was no pain, and the procedure was done in a very timely and professional fashion. I ended up waiting 3 hours only to walk away without a piercing. The two guys in the front were both condescending and arrogant. Besides the long wait, the way they both spoke to customers was enough for me to walk away. None of the jewelry is priced so you have to ask about each piece. All the pieces seemed overpriced. This place sucks.

Super nice people. Called a few other places closer to my house but they were a little unfriendly. I called and they were really nice over the phone so I decided to come in. I said my earring holes were closed and I wanted them re-pierced. The guy spent the time to check if he could get something through the holes and he did! So there was no need to re-pierce those. Ultimately I didn’t budget for the jewelry to get other earring holes so I left haha but this is where I’d go to get anything pierced.

I researched on yelp and found Shaman Modifications, read all of the positive reviews, and read the artist bios, I saw Justins portfolio and felt that his style would fit the idea that I had. Since Im in Riverside, I went to Word Of Mouth Tattoos in East Austin and had a consultation with Justin. He was easy to work out ideas with, he was very open to what I had in mind and sent me sketches days later. When I arrived upstairs to the studio, it was very clean, and comforting environment. Justin is very talented and Im extremely satisfied with his work. If you want to get a first tattoo or another one, definitely go to Justin Vickers!

It was my first piercing. Never even had my ears pierced. I got a Prince Albert and I could not be happier with the whole experience. Pineapple did the piercing. The shop is the cleanest and modern as they come. There was not blood or pain. He was very knowledgeable. I will not go anywhere else. I went in to this shop to have my tragus jewelery swapped out. Its located in what looks like a remodeled car repair shop. Very well done, clean and industrial with some very cool and custom looking burned copper doors providing privacy for the piercing rooms. Lots of pretty pieces in the jewelry cabinet, Im not familiar with a lot of piercing shops but their stuff seemed unique, well made and higher end. Kelly did my jewelry change. He took his time without being slow, gentle touch- (even my slightly irritated right tragus didnt feel a thing), and had great energy and presence. If youre looking for a quality experience check out this small shop on east 7th.

If you really want a piercing, go here- you won’t regret it! this is a brand new location, very clean and high end. both kelli and chris were professional, informative, experienced and relatable! i was the most nervous i’ve ever been for a piercing but kelli was very patient with me, making sure i was comfortable throughout the entire process. they do a few things very differently here which speed up the healing and the piercing itself. to my relief, the “pain” was just a quick and manageable discomfort and i am so happy!!

I got my piercing done back in may and im now realizing thats its been done all wrong and ive been given a lot of false information about after care.1. my piercing is too high he didnt get my sweet spot (i have a septum)2. he gave me misinformation about aftercare3. He said he pierced me at a 14g when and i could rise up to a16g which is wrongi wouldnt recommend getting your septum done here

Due to Covid they ask you text a number at the door so youre put in queue. Youll be texted back with your queue position and you can sit in your car waiting for your turn. Obviously, the weekends are busy so youll be waiting a while. No worries though go grab some tacos from the Mercado across the parking lot. Theyve got check cashing services in there too.I went in looking for jewelry as I had lost my 10 sets of plugs while in process of moving. I had a storage case for them that I took down to my car amongst other items I own. My hands were full so I placed the storage case on top of my car to open the door. Well, guess who forgot to grab them before I drove off? Yeah. I tried to retrace my steps to see if I could spot the case but no luck. I was so bummed. I really loved three of those sets which I bought from a now closed down shop on Melrose Ave in Hollywood called House of Freaks. I used to work under their shop at a place called RedBalls On Fire. The homie Matt used to always hook me up at his shop. Man, Im still emotional about it.Anyways, this place had a decent selection of jewelry! I was helped by a young lady named Amberlin who was nothing but professional, courteous and just overall pretty rad. If I remember correctly she mentioned shes the buyer for the shop which is probably the best job ever. She asked what type of material I was looking for and she took out a few selections for me. I consider myself to be an avid shopper of plugs and feel like Ive seen them all. Amberlin proved me wrong! I bought the most unique plugs Ive seen in a long time and Im definitely going to come back for more.The only thing Id love to see here is perhaps a designated spot or side of the shop for plugs/gauges (do people still call them gauges?). A lot of the stock were in drawers behind the counter so not meant for customer viewing. But no worries I really enjoyed my visit, the service was great, shop super clean (like it was hospital clean) and Amberlin has curated a lot of really beautiful organic plugs.P.S. Youll be asked to wash your hands before being helped. Idk what type of hand soap I used but damn does it smell good! :P

I love Shaman Modifications. They are worth going to as they do an excellent job with the various piercings you can get there. I have gotten the majority of my piercings there except my tounge ring. They not do the s ame bite tounge piercing though. They said it was dangerous. Which when reading up on that it is really risky piercing. Shaman Modifications not only do a good job at piercing but they will also inform you about rather a piercing is Ricky or what he risks are if at all I would recomend Shaman Modifications for all your piercing and Jewelery needs.

Ive been going to chris at shaman for a couple years now and when I say they are top quality, they are TOP QUALITY. They are knowledgeable, extremely professional, and have always provided me the best service I could have asked for. Chris always makes me feel comfortable and and makes sure Im not only happy with his work, but I walk out feeling confident and happy. Chris wouldnt have it any other way!! He and the staff here really are the best in town and I wont go anywhere else to have holes poked in mah bod! One of the best studios in Austin. Everyone there is really nice and down to earth. I went to a few shops looking for some Polynesian and Hawaiian tattoo work and got a lot of attitude.....not here. The shop is also really clean and sanitary. I would highly recommend.

I got my belly button pierced today by Frank, he was very nice and did a great job! The environment is very cozy and I felt very comfortable!

CONS:Long wait: There was a 2 hr wait after checking in for my service. Make sure you bring snacks while you wait in the parking lot. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people there waiting. They take your phone number and provide text updates. I called in every 30 minutes or so when I didnt hear anything, and they said there isnt a away to track my status over phone and it could only be done through text. Once it was time for me to go inside, It took another 30-45 minutes before they finished.Expensive:I paid around $150 for a piercing and the jewelryPROS:I love my piercing, so I guess the wait was worth it.I followed their instructions and havent experienced any irritation or infections.

Just finished up half of a large tattoo(10 hours so far) which I have been wanting for a long time . I came to Justin Vickers with a very basic idea, and the result was better than i ever could have imagined. Justin was more than willing to work with my ideas(completely redid a large sketch and relocated the tattoo from back to ribcage) and schedule and this made the overall experience really cool. Justin is an extremely talented artist and a pleasure to work with. The shop itself is very clean and well organized. In all, probably the best experience i could have hoped for.

Got my nose pierced about 8 months ago and they told me that in 6 months I can change the ring out, I put a stopper in for an interview and took it out to try to get a ring back in there but couldnt. When I tried to get another piercer to do it they told me it closed.. which that was less than 12 hours later of not being able to get it back in. Went to the shop to ask if they warranty their work and the guy gives me some bs about not knowing about how peoples bodies heal and then tells me they do warranty their work but theyll have to charge me to get it repierced. Clearly that means you dont have a warranty. 90 dollars down the drain, was going to bring my sister there for her piercings but not anymore with that horrible customer service.
