Rowan Central Park

I highly recommend Rowan for piercings (that aren’t complicated). I’ve personally had two piercings done here: 1 with the gun and another with the needle. I did this to test them for my daughter, who wanted her second holes done (which she did via Rowan with nurse Sarah)First, gun technology has improved SO much from what I can remember from the early 1990s - it feels like barely anything, maybe a quick pinch. My daughter experienced the same; she was shocked at how much it DIDN’T hurt. Initially, she was only brave enough to get one piercing done, but after the nearly pain-free experience, she had them do her second piercing.What I love about Rowan is that their pierces are nurses, so their “bedside manner” is exceptional and they explain everything where my daughter felt very informed and at ease.I’d recommend an appointment made rather than a walk-in; sometimes you can get lucky, but if you’re driving for more than 20min have it scheduled.

Got my 6 year olds ears pierced here for her birthday and it was such an amazing experience! We were in the area so I made a same day appointment 15 minutes out, which was convenient. The vibe when you first walk in is fun and upbeat. We were greeted with smiling faces and so much excitement. The clerks talked us through the piercing selections and explained the procedure in detail. The nurse came right out to start the process. After about 20 minutes total, we walked away with pierced ears and no tears! Thank you Rowan for the wonderful experience!

Great experience! Olivia patiently helped me measure and realign previously pierced holes. Super happy with the outcome and her effort and skill throughout the process. They had some pretty good options for studs for adults, as well. Thank you. 😊

They are great! My daughter is five months and we took her here after I did a deep dive on options in Austin. We did a walk in and were in and out quickly. They gave me all the information, showed me all the options of earrings and were so efficient when they did the piercing. I would highly recommend Rowan!

Great communication, great instructions, patient nurses! My daughter was determined, but got scared after the first piercing and needed a break. We worked together to get her calm enough to accept the second piercing (with the promise of ice cream next door!). Once she calmed down, my daughter couldnt help but stare at her ears in the mirror! I brought my 6 year old when she wanted her ears pierced. The shop is bright and inviting, and the staff are the perfect blend of helpful and patient. I highly recommend the needle piercing, as my daughter said it barely hurt. She slept fine and the next said she doesnt even feel it!

Our experience was pretty good, my daughter got both her ears pierced but it was quite difficult. I feel like the person that attended us was a litttle bit less prepared to handle stressful situations with little kids and her face/mannerisms really didn’t help at all. On the other hand, there was this other lady and the manager that where really nice. Prices are pretty high and we where surprised to find out that the price for the earring is not for the pair but per earring which made our final price way too high.

I’ve gotten multiple piercings here & I’m always impressed with the staff and service!! They’re informative and fun - you can tell that they want you to be happy with whatever you’re getting and they take their time with you to make sure it’s perfect.Highly recommend for all ages!! My niece got her 1st piercings here and they were so sweet to her. Much better atmosphere for a 6 year old than some tattoo shops but you get the same quality of piercings.

A great place for my 14-year old daughter’s first ear piercings! A cute, colorful welcoming space with friendly gals ready to help! We booked an appointment earlier in the day — and everything went into motion as soon as we walked in the door. They had a nice selection of stud earrings and offer both device and needle piercing. Our nurse took great care of my daughter for an easy breezy ear piercing experience. She said it was much easier than she thought it would be! We left with a cute goody bag and detailed after care instructions.I’d take my other daughter here and highly recommend this place to friends. There were a few other customers in the shop and they seemed to be having an equally excellent experience. Thanks Rowan!!

Rachel pierced my 3 month old son’s ears today and the service was amazing! We were immediately greeted and checked in upon entering the store and promptly serviced. Nurse Rachel was so exceptionally kind with my daughter. My daughter was really scared and Rachel helped her to relax, gave her lollipops, and never rushed her. I was so grateful for the experience. Took my 4 year old in for her 1st ear piercing , Marisol explained and recommended the device piercing . Come piercing time my daughter was nervous but Marisol continued to encourage her & make her feel comfortable .1st poke she did great ! She got a little nervous the 2nd time around & thankfully Marisol continued to use words of encouragement & waited till she was ready for the 2nd earring.Glad we made an appointment because they do get busy pretty quick !Overall the environment & staff were great.

We had the absolute best experience ever . From the moment we walked inside everyone was super sweet. Rachel who did my daughters piercing was so sweet and friendly and made her ears piercing experience smooth.

I regret choosing to get pierced here. I will be going to a professional piercer next time. I got my helix pierced and my 5 year old daughter got her first lobe piercings. Nurse Audrey pierced both of ours. On mine, she didnt push the needle all the way through on the first go. On my daughter, it took her three times (using the device) to get her second ear done. My daughter was in tears on her second one when she didnt bat an eye on her first. The nurse seemed nervous and hesitant the entire time. I did not feel this was any different than going to a Claires. We will not be back.

I was pierced here a couple months ago and I deeply regret not going to a professional piercer. I realize now that being a nurse doesn’t mean they’re qualified or knowledgeable enough to work with the anatomy of a persons ear, which is the issue I’m currently having. I got 3 helix piercings done with the intention of putting hoops in, however two were pierced crooked and straight through my ear, like for a flat. They also don’t follow the curve of my ear, so hoops are out. I’ve had a nightmare healing process and have to take them out to have them redone at a professional piercing studio. For the amount of money I spent this was an awful time and is costing me more money in the long run.Just go to a professional piercer.

This place is the BEST for ear piercing! I just took my 6 year old daughter to get her lobes done and had a fantastic experience. We were joined by several girls from our neighborhood as moral support, and it was just the cutest display of girl power. The staff was kind, welcoming, and professional. They told her what was happening every step of the way, and did not rush the process. Their earring choices are super cute with plenty to choose from. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. I’ll definitely be going back to get some new holes in my own ears!

I do not like needles at all and they made me feel very comfortable and it was relatively painless! I am a fainter though so I did get light headed but they gave me a cold towel and juice and fruit snacks. Definitely recommend!

It was her very first time getting her ears pierced and Marisol had soo much patience and walked her through the entire process. She was just also very very nice! Definitely worth the money! Lol

We had the best experience at Rowan today and are so glad they are finally open. My 8 year old twin daughters have been asking to get their ears pierced for months, and we have patiently been awaiting the opening of the Austin Rowan. No piercing guns, high quality jewelry (14k gold) & licensed RN’s are what brought us in the door, and our experience went above and beyond that. The staff was so kind, warm & reassuring, and made it a fun and pleasant experience for all of us. Nurse Jenny was so attentive and reassuring toward my daughters, and was careful in making sure their piercings were symmetrical and in the right place. My daughter said after that Nurse Jenny telling her “you can do this!” made her feel brave and confident to follow through. Not to mention the studio is super cute and clean! All in all, cannot recommend Rowan enough!

My daughter had her ears pierced here. Let me just say that being a nurse does not make you knowledgeable about piercing. Both nurses that touched my daughters ears were.... stupid. The first one had to pierce my daughters ear 3 times because she didnt understand that my daughter has a larger lobe and needed a longer post. Three times! It was traumatic. So we got through the ordeal. And healed her ears. Then we went back for a shorter post. Tell me why the second nurse put in a post too short and now her ear is infected. Common sense really seems to miss these people. Go to an actual professional.

I can’t express enough how great Rowan is for any first-timer like my 10 yo daughter. They were so kind. We had Brandy and she greeted us at the door and walked her through every step. If you request a tandem piercing, they can accommodate for that, as I was fearful of my daughter doing one ear and freaking out, lol. My daughter was so brave and didnt shed a tear! Highly recommend.

Terrible piercing experience for my 10 month old. I would NOT recommend this place for infants. They are not equipt to handle it. The girls were very sweet but I do not feel they knew how to handle a situation with a baby. The backing I requested was not put on first, so they had to take out and replace the backing which cause my baby distress and pain. All of that for the earring to fall out. I am so disappointed to have spent the money I did for this to be the outcome. Do NOT go here.

These people pierce babies! There was a baby getting pierced screaming in pain and they just continued on. This may be legal ( I guess) but what I witnessed today was not okay.
